About This Class

Welcome to Just Necessary: Lumion Courses from Basic to Intermediate, a course intended to help you know how to use Lumion real-time technology. Although Lumion is a simple tool, it doesn't automatically produce better architectural visualizations. My priority is to provide you with the quickest Lumion workflow for a typical project and eight essential tips to improve your render.

With three years of professional architectural design background, I understand the need to invest most of your time in design and drawing technical blueprints. As a result, the render time is limited, hurting your presentation.

This course is for you if you are an architect or designer who needs visualizations/renderings but does not have the time to understand complicated rendering processes. Are you ready to master Lumion 12 in the fastest way possible?

1. Introduction for Just Necessary Lumion Courses from Basic to Intermediate: Hi everyone, welcome to just necessary Luminus courses. A course intended to help you to know how to use Luminus real time technology. My name is young, with three years of professional architectural design background, I understand the necessity of producing a fantatic render in a limited time. My priority is to provide you with the quickest Lumian workflow to improve your speed and the quality of photos and video rendering. This course is designed for architects rushing to achieve a project deadline. Who want to express their ideas to clients through photo realistic representation. And architecture students who wish for an excellent presentation to explain the studio work. Everything in this past is correct to the point to have it to get the most that you need. This course includes four parts. First, you are going to get familiar with Lumen's essential tools and functions. Next, you will know how to create beautiful exterior photos and videos using the project files provided during the lesson. Finally, I will provide you with eight essential tips for Lumen. We'll start with an overview of Luminus essential tools and function. The first lesson introduces some basic Lumina shockers that will help improve the efficiency of your work process. You can learn how to navigate and modify the appearance of the luminus file here. This course also includes nicely organized three D files allowing you to practice with these lessons. Don't worry if you cannot remember some shockers in lumen. A D file will summarize them for your convenience right below the description. This course is for you if you are an architect or designer who needs visualization and rendering, but does not have the time to understand complicated rendering processes. All you need to access to Lumium 12, free trial available, and some knowledge of how to import a sketch of model. Are you ready to master Lumium 12 in the fastest way possible. Let's start. 2. Lumion's Requirements for Computer: Before starting a lesson, we need to look at the requirements below to know if your computer can give you an excellent Lumiu experience. Lumin also requires the computer with a fast graphics card, plenty of memory, and an Internet connection for the minimum requirement, which is not recommended by Lumian's website. The graphics memory should be 4 gigabytes or more, and the system memory needs to be 16 gigabytes or more. The recommended requirement is graphics card memory should be 8 gigabytes or more. The system memory needs to be 32 gigabytes or more. A C with the hardware, can handle complex designs and projects. For the high end requirement, it allows your computer to handle ultra complex design projects with several high end features, they require graph memory, should be around 44 gigabytes or more. The system memory needs to be 64 gigabytes or more. 3. Lumion's Essential Tools Part 1: Navigation, Display, and Object Placement: Hi everyone. Welcome to the Luminus courses from just necessary. This very first lesson is to introduction to some basic shockers in aluminum. The shockers will make your work process much more efficient. The first thing we must do is choose planned environment, A simple environment in Lumens, you can then edit and customize the environment to suit your needs. The essential shock is to working with Lumu is navigation To move the camera forward, click or up arrow to move the camera down, click or down arrow. Move the camera to the left. Use ad or left arrow to move the camera to the right. Click D or right arrow, click Q and to move the camera up and down. Next, there are three different speeds to move the camera. Aluminum. To move the camera, slowly click Space, and the navigation buttons Click together with the navigation buttons, will make your camera move faster. To move the camera very fast, click ship and space, and the navigation buttons. Use the right mouse together with mouse movement to look around, click, center, mouth, and mouse movement to pan the camera. Use the mouth wheel to move the camera forwards and backwards. There are some additional shocks for navigation to reset the camera ph to the horizontal viewpoint control plus H boom is very simple. Make some camera scenes. Lumans could save up to ten camera views in one photo set. Click control and 12 until 90 to lot of previous leak. Save camera view points use ship and 12 until zero. You can create a camera from any angle you like by going around your design. The results can be seen in the photo mode. We can continue adjusting the camera angle and add more effect to the photo. If you're having trouble flying around, um, smoothly, likely your commuter can handle the graphic details. You can speed it up by adjusting a few settings. Lowering the editor quality and resolution will increase the editor speed, which means you can fly more quickly around your luminu sin. We have four quality levels. One star means on shadows types and some movie effect Star two stars mean luminus landscape shadows. And my shadow of three stars turn lumin landscape shadow four stars for the highest quality level and turn everything on. Use F1f 23.4 to apply these editors qualities. We will go through Luminus Objects, Library and Objects Placement. Lumen has an extensive object collection that you may use to decorate your project. May be found in the bottom left section The object type, for example, to place some trees in your model. To do so, click on the Nature Cgory. When you click on the placement button, a list of all the trees, plans, and other nature items in Lemans Library will appear. As you can see, there are several rows of just broad leaf trees to choose from. As well as conifers, palms and other trees. You may also utilize to search option if you have a specific free type, when you pick one it appears under the cursor, you can place the objects by clicking on the scene. The properties table will show you. When you choose the object, you may change the color of the foliage and the transparency of the tree. Notice that when you use this to it randomly rotates the objects as you place so that nothing looks uniform. That's one of the things I like about Lumin. It's a mass placement tools. This tool can pass unnoticed from the first time, but you can find it under the Place object buttons. Placement tools allow you to place objects along the path to Slate. Clicker and accept a current line and start a new line. To add the point to the current line, you control with the left mouse button, remove the point from the current line. Using the right mouse button, you can cut the line. Is also then you can adjust the number of objects along the path. Set randomization of direction and so on. Select the model you want. You can either click on the model you want to select or you can use the method to select multiple objects. You control and track with left mouse button to select the select objects from the current selection control and click on the select object. I can combine the sheep button if you want to add a new rectangular selection to the current selection to lend on object, just hold control and click anywhere with the Lab. Now button you can copy the objects. Aluminum also to copy selected object wholly owned and left male, bust and move the male. If you want to adjust the object size opposition, you can choose select, go to the small do and select the object. You can now adjust the position and the rotation to change the direction of the selected object, we use the rotate button, Just click R, left mouse button, and move the Mal to scale the objects used in the mouse, just click L and left button to move the Mal Create. Now we know all the essential tools to work with. Let's max some pantatic renders. Don't worry if you forget some of the. So there is a summary of all the necessary tools in the decryption below. 4. Lumion's Essential Tools Part 2: Landscape Menu: Tie everyone. Today we will explore the weather and the landscape menu in Lumiu. To begin, we choose bland environment. It is a simple environment in Lumius. You can then edit and customize the environment to suit your needs. A menu, it is possible to regulate the location of the sun, clouds in the sky and the sun's brightness. The landscape menu is next to the weather menu. Luminus provides a complete set of spoons that happens to sculpt and modify the terran. There are brushes available for sculpting the terrain. Let's look at what's expressed to do to the Terran. We may also use the button to return to the previous step. There are five different catches, and if you hold your mouth over the button, a little label with the name of express appears. Now that we know what express does, we can take our Terran control to the next level by adjusting the brush side. And speed offers some pathetic features for creating realistic water surfaces. First, let's start by adding a water body to, with the following step. To a landscape menu. On the water menu and the menu appears, you can change the look of the water using the type button. Select the place object buttons to place the water surface. This will create a swing. We can control using the icons on each corner to change the size and hide. You can change the look of the water by selecting another type of water. But if you have more than two or more water surfaces, they are adjusted equally, would be incomplete without the ability to construct an ocean. Let's see how we can do that. Select the Landscape menu. Click on the Ocean Sub menu to create an Ocean. Click on the Ocean On Off button. Now you have access to several settings to change the look of an ocean. You can make a calm and peaceful sea. Or you can modify the water so dramatically that mimics a storm. If you need to change the high of the scene, use high value. The paint menu may be found in the landscape menu, which also contains the landscape pictures. To get rid of the crash, we need to paint another texture on top of it. Street map allow us to create a CD. I will show you how to use the open map system inside Lumin. The available map is basically like the Wikipedia of BS mapping data. Its user contributed information about street and building. Here's how it works. On the Landscape tab, click the Open Street Map button and turn on the on off switch. Select the GPS coordinates button. Type a location name into the search area or click anywhere on the map to place. To move the GBS coordinate pin to pen. Hold down the left Mal button, Zoom in and out with a male broke wheel at just the radius of the open street map area that will be diwloaded by using the map range lighter, the square represents ten times ten kilometer luminous landscape. The circle represents the region of open street map that will be downloaded. Click the Download Map option to add elevation, Dalanscape download the selected area, click the Star download button and wait for the download process to complete. What you can get here is a need island and we have buildings that are coming from the crown. This entire region was built in less than a minute. See, adding class is a symbol as licking the button. We will need to chain various variables to achieve the desired appearance, such as class dye pine and wins. Luminus, on the other hand, adds further textures to the picture. By allowing us to sprinkle flowers, leaves, tiny plants, and peppers throughout. This allows us to design a pristine lawn on a wild field. Never forget to save your file, especially, um, to save any project, we need to select the Files menu, which we can find on the right hand side. Select Files button click then say, to make sure that the thin file is saved correctly. Do not save it directly to the network drive or the cloud backup folder. Make sure to give each file a unique name so that you don't keep overwriting the same file. Now we know all the essential tools to work. Sluman less maximum fans, static renders. 5. Set Up for Photo Render Part 1: Organize 3D: Hi everyone. Today we will learn how to make fabulous photo renders in aluminum. First, we must arrange a three D model before beginning the rendering process. This first step will allow you to work easier. What do we need is a three D file render. It needs to be fully material. Next, remove all tree model and delete on unnecessary elements. Finally, the three D model into many separate files. Our sketch of three model needs some editing. I will hide every three from three D model because we'll use Lumin Street instead. This three D model is available for load in the description below so that you can together practice during the lesson. Divide your model into proof based on the type so that you can select it easier. For example, furniture. Some parts of this model are missing material. I'll repair the material for the window, window frame, and other internal partitions. One quick tip for sketch up users using the high tomb to speed up the process, I'm going to hide all of the window common. The window frame is then crooked hide all. Now you can quickly select the window element. Material from sketch of files will be applied to Lumia accordingly. Before importing to Lumia, we must check for any missing material. 1 second. For my promotion, I offer one schedule online course that will teach you all you need to know to operate efficiently with this program. This course teaches you how to do it better and quicker than ever. There will be a special offer for you who sign up for this Luminus class that is sport the advertisement. Stay tuned. Next, save as the three D model into many separate files, for example architectures or building for sad furniture and green walls pit great. Now we have a perfect three D model for render. In the next session, I will show you how to import this three D file into lumin. 6. Set Up for Photo Render Part 2: Basic Setup for Photo Render: Hello everyone. We finished organized 35 in the previous session. To turn out today we lease you through the wall flows to create a photo realistic render with aluminum, allowing you to get the most out of aluminum in the short amount of time. Here is the list of work for the basic set up aluminum. First select the fold environment. Importing 35 to lumens, layers set up, setting out, reaching point, and cameras set up. To begin, we choose planned environment. It is a simple environment in Luminus. You can then edit and customize the environment to suit your needs. We will import your three D model into Lumen. The object menu is opened when Luminus opens a new scene or loads a scene. This menu is what you have to use to import a three D model. You can import by clicking on the Import button, then select at a News model. Lumin supports the most common and beam software. The supported model RS follows D A E cold KP, Sketch, FB, DWG, DXF, three DS, BH and Max Aluminum lets you rename the three D model you are importing. Click the app to Library button, the place Tom becomes available to start placing three D models. You can place this model by clicking on the left mouth button. After important three D, we will use luminous layers to have organize your models. Make it a habit to practice using layers throughout the project. Do you see a black box with a number in the top left, a lumos, its face, that indicates the location of the layers. You can use layer to arrange on lines, on the layer, on trees on another and so on. If you click on the Blas button, you can add new layers up to the maximum of 20. The E buttons Le mode allow you to show or hide the layer. You can clarify the layer following this list, Building, architecture, landscape, interior furniture, tree, creenery, and light. You can change the layer of an object by selecting an update on the properties table after importing and organizing our model. Always remember to send it to the origin point. This time saver trick for you, it will allow controlling your three D file effectively and not yet lost in the luminous environment, especially when you decide to separate your three D into many elements. Let me show you how to enter position coordinates. Whenever you import a new model, select Objects mode, then select the Move Mode tab. Click on the move objects icon, select one or more objects. Click on a small circular object icon or the object position values for the field x, y, and z ***. I suggest using 555. This number is straightforward to remember. After Basic set up your model, we will set up the camera position for your rendered. This step will have your work be done in a short time possible because you will know the specific area in your design that you need to focus on, Set up material and special effects, and not waste many hours on the less critical corner, there's a special section in Lubin, it's called photo mode. Click on the camera icon. The whole user interface has changed. And optimize for the creation of images. The way you navigate to find the camera position is similar to the built mode, with a, Q, A, S, and D keys and the mouse to turn around. In addition, there is an option to change the photal length of the camera. Now let's find an excellent position to create a render picture. We need to add one effect before creating a camera view. It is a two point perpaxitive effect. We can use effect to get a two point perpitive, so that the vertical lines stay vertical regardless of the camera angle. You can save a position by going to one of these slots and clicking on the Store camera button. This position is saved. Now we have the basic setting for the perfect render. Next part, I will show you how to set up the material for this three fog into lumin. 7. Set Up for Photo Render Part 3: Material Setup for Photo Render: We set up some items after you've decided on your camera angle for the photo render. This is a house we previously imported from Sketch Up. It's already has certain materials from the sketcher files. As you can see, we can use luminous materials to replace them in the left corner, select the material it we are working on the camera position we said earlier. It will help you not get lost in the less critical corner. Now consider the class material at the window surface. We can now click on this surface to modify or assign materials. It springs up the material library box. Let's have a look. Get a class in an outdoor tab. Class is a unique material with properties that differ from other materials. When you click on it, a slightly different dialog box appears. Also, there are many types of Reset class materials which will have you work faster. If you still want to change the setting, click on it and the dialog box reappears. You may also alter the RGP colors and the brightness. If you do not yet have any specific ideas for the inside wall material, just choose a light color wood material, it will give you a entering a warmer field. In an indoor tab, select wooden. This brings up a variety of wooden materials allowing you to explore the wood of your choice. From a luminus library, you might choose a wider material for a ceiling and floor. Because we are working on an external render, we need a little favor on the inside area. When you double click it, a similar dialog box appears, allowing you to adjust all of these properties once more. If you think the level of closes is too high, you may reduce it or the relief or the reflectivity on and on. I'm going to use white pen metal for the window frame. The imported material is what is currently in your three model. You can now modify the material from the three D file instead of using the material from Lumin. In Lumin choose standard to edit this material. Now the textures is adjustable. Consider the relief. As a result, you can move the slider to the left. We may adjust the level of Pombinus using the relief slider. The amount of reflection on the surfaces is indicated by reflectivity, So we can lower it and a little bit as well. Displacement allows you to rise a material surface gently about the water material. These features may be used to create a swimming pool. Choose the water material from the scuston drop down menu. You may change the appearance of the water by adjusting the color, pins, wave hide form, and so on. For fabric material, I now use Luminous Preset material. He you use aluminum material For the stone walls, we are modifying the scale to meet our needs. We are increasing the relief value to adjust for the Pumbinus. Click on the More button. You can shift it in the x, y, z direction or you can change the orientation. Heading bank, we have leaf material in the Nature tab, Customizable leafy ages that may be produced in any form and size. For the IV, we fly the bar till you are satisfied. I'll send this material for the first set and a just a transparency value, slightly metal for the top roof profile. Go to Outdoor Select Memo. This brings up a variety of metal materials allowing you to explore the metal of your choice from Lubin's collection. When you double click it, the identical dialog box appears, allowing you to adjust all of these once more. I'm going to use white pen meet for the window free. We can also make some crash lumina. Now can use Natural Crash, which adds to the wow effect in a custom tab outside the surface, you want to have crash as the landscape dilect the landscape menu from the left hand side of the screen. Then click the crash button, followed by the crash on, of which the crash side option determines the crash density and how far off it will be visible. The crash wildness option is ideal for simulating a confined garden with increasing the value may add different heights and dispersing patterns to the crash. Congratulations, you have crashed in your scene. Now remember to clip. Okay, once you've finished setting the material, we now have a fully materialized lumin file that is ready for rendering. 8. Set Up for Photo Render Part 4: Object Mass Placement: We learned about the placement too, in aluminum, in less than one. Now we will use the mass placement tool to create a creinary for our render. This is one of my favorite tools. Luminus Mass placement tool allows you to quickly place many objects in complex checks including Curve. This tool may be ignored at first, however, it can be found under the place object met. You may use mass placement tool to place objects along the path. You set, accept the current line and begin a new line by pressing Enter. Use control and the left mouse button to *** the point to the current line. Using the right mouse button, remove the point from the current line. You may add more objects to the route, allowing you to design a really complicated landscape. At the bottom of your screen, you can change the direction of the objects you place. You can also randomize the right direction if you don't want all of the objects facing the same direction. The upset of the plans placement can then be randomized. We can also randomize the items spacing over here. You can increase the number of items by moving the bar, and you may do so multiple times. We will repeat this step for all the trees around this house. By entering position values for the act, we can change the hive of those trees. After that, you can still move those shrepes around hold ship while moving the keep the item at its current time, continue to tweak by nearby plants using the move, rotate, and scale tools. Now we have trees and plans for the render. Next part I will show you how to set up the lighting. 9. Set Up for Photo Render Part 5: Lighting Set Up for Photo Render: Your render will require some lighting. We look at lighting light properties and light processing. We'll use the same scene from the previous deterior to accomplish this. In general, you place lights just like any other object. Go to the lights, choose a type of light you want. From the list of the lights with various properties places By clicking, Remember to create the light layer so that you can organize your render. Aluminum, You can observe how the light brightens the surroundings. It might be challenging to set lights when there is no pretty object nearby. After you've installed all of the lighting, you need to select them on by holding down the control key and dragging the left. Our property box appears here, where you can adjust the brightness and corn angle and reveal the light source, which is automatically triggered at night. In the daytime, it doesn't light up, but at night it does slide the slider bar until you like the light setting. This light type only illuminates surfaces that face the omni light location. It renders incredibly quickly. And it is ideal for areas that do not require precise lighting, such as those further away from the camera. Although the light from the spotlight may not be enough to illuminate the entire space, you may supplement it with the light. A fuel light creates good and uniform illumination for the entire room, but doesn't produce any shadows. We can use the property table to adjust this Be light. Also a property box appears in here. Just slid a slider bar until you like the light setting. Next are area and line lights. This light type only light surface that faces the area line lights location. But it renders quickly and is excellent for lighting up the big expenses. Using the properties table, we can adjust the width and the height of the area light light the slider bar until you like the light setting. In the next session, we will learn how to add some effect to our render. 10. Set Up for Photo Render Part 6: Setup Essential Effects: We now add some effects to our render. Here are some essential effects for improving your photo rendering. Some effect, reflectivity effect, autumn generator effect, analog color left effect, and Polk effect. Consider the sun effect. Some effect allows you to adjust the sun high heading brightness and size. The some effect can be applied in photo mode. Be sure that the sun shines through your building, so it could be the main focus of the rendering. The reflectivity effect. Select New Effect. Go to the word tab. Click Reflectivity. You can specify up to ten reflection plans in your scene. In this render, you only need to produce a reflectivity of water and class. However, keep in mind that adding additional reflection plan might cause a slow render. As a result, use a few reflection plan as possible. Any call planner model surface with a given reflection plan in your scene will have accurate reflections. The surface you have assigned standard water class material or pure material can use. Reflection effect effect allows you to manipulate gestation colors quickly. You can use it and bring more variation to the color. Or push the slider on the way to create fanstatic autumn landscape, Select the layer containing the tree you want to be affected. Three on another layer, we'll keep the original color color left effect. Use the analog color left effect to tweak color shades and instantly change the field of the scene. You can choose your tone by dragging the style and modifying the amount of the tone and your render. Folk is a natural event that may be applied to our project to provide significant results. We can use it to add mystery to the scene. The folk effect allows you desire to stand out in an attractive mode. Ambience. Click on a New Effect button in the photo or the movie mode under the tab, Select the folk effect. You can start by increasing the fork density for foo to create a haze effect, change color using the color ball. Never forget to save your file, especially lumin. To save any project, we need to select the files menu, which can file. On the right hand side, select Files button, click save path, then save a. 11. Set Up for Photo Render Part 7: Modify for A Better Render Part 1: Here is the final step for the fans static render. We are dealing with Bi in the render process. As a result, objects appear smaller and as the distance from the observer increases. This tutoria will show you how to apply this perfective theory to improve the quality of your rendering photos. There are two parts in the picture. Nearby elements and far away parts. First, we will focus on the nearby elements. Here is the list of work that we need to focus on. First, detailing the P. I'm going to change the texture of the pool. I will use the blue mosaic to make your pool look fancy. I will add some spotlight. We will do the same as the previous lesson material for the water. In the last render the water, I will edit it to match the color tone of the sky. We will be adjusting the plant. Some greenery will add more flavor to the render. Trees and plants are a significant tree of lumins. I'm not a fan of adding more trees for building, but I will use it anyway. Association. Next, adjusting process material. In this case, the process is the central part of the building. Dark metal for the top roof profile, select metal. This brings up a variety of metal material allowing you to explore the metal of your choice from Luminus Collection. Now modify the material from the 35 instead of using the material from Lumin in Lumi standard. To add this material, we may adjust the level of pumpness using a relief. The amount of reflection on the surfaces is indicated by reflectivity, so we can lower it by a little bit as well. We are modifying the scale to miss our need. Bump done. 12. Set Up for Photo Render Part 7: Modify for A Better Render Part 2: Now we will work on the far away element. We need to have some modern ceiling lights for the dining area. On the three D warehouse website, we can download any three D model included ceiling decoration A. After importing this model, I will create some material for the land, use copper for the metal part, and create some brightness for the light mode. Add material button, and apply the standard material. After selecting the surface to create a effect, you must increase the emissive value to change the color of the Chloe effect, use the color button to select a new color. A simple technique like this can make a big difference. Apply some material for the furniture. Because the furniture is not the main focus of the render. I only use precess materials, some trees For the background, we only need some leaves, not an actual tree. I will use clutters for this purpose. They are light prose and easy to use. Adjust the scale a little bit. Next for the background, it will make your architecture send out in a picture rendering. You must have a correct background, we must use the Cloud Effect and fork effect. Let's start with the Cloud Effect. To use this effect, perform the following step. Click on the New Effect button. Choose the Weather tab, and select Cloud Effect Setting our self explanatory, such as the position, cloud speed, and cloud direction setting to mention a Field luminus give you a control of two layers of clouds, the low and high clouds. The amount of both types of clouds is controlled using the low clouds and high cloud setting. Use the master cloud amount setting to control the amount of both clouds in the project. Change the type of clouds using the process available. Adjust the cloud process setting to change low clouds and a high process setting to adjust the tone shadows. Next, the folk effect Folk is a natural event that may be applied to a project and creates significant changes with the folk effect. We can achieve this and much more. Click on the New Effect button in the photo or movie mode under the weather tab. Select the folk effect start by increasing the folks density setting. To create the haze effect you need to adjust the Folk follo setting. Finally, change the color using the color ball where you can adjust the color and intensity of the fork. Finally, adjust the camera for the perfect frame. Now we can make a render photo. We have many options for the resolution of the render. For example, email, print and poster. Click the okay pattern to save and export our photo. And immediately our renders created that we can look at. In showing your render at the breakneck end, you can see the difference between the old and new render. And 13. Set Up for Video Render Part 1: Creating Animations: Hi everyone. This lesson will explain the process of creating a video render with Luminus. After creating photo rendering, you will want to go the extra mile to make some movies for your design, which would help you to win the competition. Lumen will have lump strength in the speed of creating amazing videos. Let's movie mode. Remember that I said the lumen is simple and easy to use. You can create a movie mode simply possible first, building a camera path is the first stage in creating video. The following step is generally to add effects to that clip to improve the animation. At the bottom, we can see night flip. Each clip can store a small animation, or if you want the entire movie, which I do not recommend. Lumin also gives you a possibility of importing an image or video. In the Record menu, we have play the movie clip speed and take a photo the way it works. As I told you it easy. Now let's start creating an animation. Do you see the camera button to start your first shot? Click then move the camera to the different angle. Click again and continue until Sati Fied. This is a small trick. When you make an architecture video at the end of the camera. You may keep this run scene a bit longer. It will give the audience time to focus on your design. So that I will take the third shoot as an extra, we can dream back in the post production step. Later you display button to check how your animation appears. A slider on the left side allows you to increase or discrete the speed. When you're happy with your animation, click the okay button and you're done. Congratulations, you have created your first animation. This camera moves along the pool area. I will create more animations with different camera paths. There will be sequences of eye level camera that will show the atmosphere of your design. It is usually a straightforward camera moving left to right, move off, move down. The purpose of this symbol movement is because you want your viewer to be less distracted and pay more attention to the quality of your design. The ending scene will be a zoomed in scene. It is normal to have specific three D model that we need to update during the wall fat. This can be tricky task considering the most of the time this updating happens after we have already assigned materials to the imported three D model. Don't worry in developed a framework for this task. In this case I want to create a water foam for pos ages. This means it should have different materials from the pol water. Say the three model into Lumia, we must save or export the three model with the same name we used to import into Lumin 1. Second for my am I offer one sketch of online call that will teach you all you need to know to operate efficiently with this program. This teaches you how to do it better and quicker than ever. There will be a special offer you who sign up for these luminus courses, that is for the advertisement. Stay tuned. This means that we need to overwrite the old file so that we can upload the three D model in Luminus successfully. I will show you how to do it with the import menu selected. Perform the following steps. Select the model that you want to reload. Iluminus, the Properties table we appear. Click on the Reload Model button. Done. Now we have a new model. We will make the water foam material for the edges of the pool. We can now click on the surface to modify the materials. It brings up the material library box. Let's have a look, get a water foam in the custom tab. We may adjust the level of wave, high wave scale and reflectivity by tracking the slider. Wonderful. Now we have a video for our building. Next part, I will show you how to add effect to the video Illumina. 14. Set Up for Video Render Part 2: Add Effects To An Animation: Hi everyone. This tutorial explains how to add effects to videos in Lubin and how they might help you work more efficiently apply effects to individual clips. It is similar to the photo mode. Select the new Effect button to add an effect, and the movie effect window appears, giving you access to six different categories. There is another way to make you work faster because I'm a lazy person, so I will show you the lazy way to work with those effects. We can copy the effects that we already set up in photo render and page them into these videos. To do this, open the photo mode. Select a Copy button next to the New Effect button. Click on this button and all the effects used on a specific clip are copied Lumas memory. There is another button called Paste that appears next to the Copy button. We can apply this set of effects to other videos. Also, you can modify it slightly to suit what we need in each set. In other cases, Lumin allows us to control the entire movie and the effect we may apply. Let's see if we can apply the effect to an entire video. Go to the movie mode and create one or more clip. Combine all the clips in one movie. Lo click the entire movie button on the left hand side below the play button. Nothing changed in the interface, but look again. After clicking on the entire movie button, you will see that the clip bar now encompasses on the clips in your project. Also, the bars division represents space, each clip tape. The advantage of using the entire movie option is that it allows adding effects to all the clips simultaneously making sense when there is an effect common to all the pins. To add an effect, click the new Effect button on the top left corner of the screen, select a new effect to add to the entire movie. One thing, if the effect is ali to the individual video already, a little sign in the effect table will let you know. This means you cannot use this effect or you need to delete this effect. In each smaller video play the movie, you will see that effect is applied to all the clips and not to individual clips. I will delete the sky and cloud effect in each clip and apply again to the entire movie. I will do the same with the reflectivity effect, apply again to the entire movie. Here I will increase the cloud speed to have the moving cloud in the rendering video. The ending sin will be a zooming sten. We can add some flavor to the video. The Deft field effect is an excellent choice. Together with the key frame, the act of creating a key frame is called key framing. This is a method of assigning a value to an object as a specific point in time. Using key frames, it is possible to create an enjoyable transition in moving mode. Move the time light to the desired position. Next, click on the Create Keyframe button to record the value of the desired slider at a current position on the timeline. Repeated staff. If you want to create more than one key frame, then click on the previous key and next key buttons to cycle through the key frames on the timeline. Click on the remove key button to remove key frames if necessary. Now we can pot video from Lumin to expo the movie. Click the same movie button on the right hand side. It is the one with the movie take. We can exploit the MP four format with several options such as quality frames per second and resolution cancellation. You have a video for your proposal. In the next session, I will show you eight tricks to improve your random quality quickly. Stay tuned. 15. Essential Tips for Lumion Part 1: Color Tone: There are many effects. Aluminum to create a flavor for your photo render, you may spend the entire day trying with all of those effects. Don't do it. Here are the only two effects you need. The first effect is the Autumn effect. This effect allows you to manipulate vegetation color quickly. The elect try layer that you want you to add it, you can use it to bring more variation to the colors to create a static tom landscapes. You can use the autumn effect to switch between several fold colors and create the mood you wish to communicate. Green, archer and red are colors available. We can adjust based on the re creen color for the more realistic finish. Second effect is analog color left effect. Use the analog color left effect to tweak colour shaded and instantly change the field of the scene. You can create your unique tone for the photo render by changing the value of the style, lighter, and the amount of it. 16. Essential Tips for Lumion Part 2: Background Render Effect: For your architecture to stand out in a picture rendering, you must have the correct background. This tutorial will teach you how to create a background that could make a difference. There are three effects for this purpose. Guiding cloud effect, fork effect, and depth First cloud effect. The clouds are an element that may provide a special touch to the rendering. Let's start with the Cloud effect. To use the effect, to perform the following step, click on the New Effect button, choose the Weather tab, and select the Sky in Cloud Effect. Some setting are self explanatory, such as the position, cloud speed, and cloud direction setting. To mention a feel lumin gives you the control of two layers of clouds, the low and high clouds. The amount of both types of clouds is controlled using the low clouds and high cloud setting. Use the master cloud amount setting to control the amount of both clouds in the project. Change the type of clouds using the process available. Adjust the cloud precess setting to change the low clouds and the cloud process setting to adjust the high clouds. Next folk effect. Folk is a natural event that may be applied to our project and create significant changes. We can use it to add mystery to a scene, or create a haze where dust, smoke and other tried particles obscure the clarity of the sky. With the folk effect, we can achieve this and much more. Click on the New Effect button in the photo or movie mode under the weather tab. Select the folk effect start by increasing the folk density setting. To create the haze effect, you need to adjust the fog Follof setting. Finally, change the color using the color ball where you can adjust the color and intensity of the add depth of field to your project. Perform the following step. Click on the New Effect button and open the camera. Tap select the Depth of Field. Effect of Field refers to the distance between the elements that look shaft in front and behind it. Sum, we wish to concentrate on the tree but not on other components of the surrounding, such as the house behind it, the crash on the crown, the swimming pool, and so on. If you have experience with photography, you will recognize some of the setting available. Remember that the focal length value you used to create a clip or photo doesn't come into the equation. The focus distance should be the first setting adjusted to define where you want your camera to focus. Then tweak the stop setting to remove some floor areas. And define the gradual transition between the shaft and flird area. Isolate fo ground is a setting that control the layers of death, a few in front of the camera. However, the setting will not always produce the best result, particularly with three. When mean too close to an object, you may need to adjust the pension setting to get a sharp look at the three model. Don't forget to press the ship key while adjusting the setting in small crepments. Now aluminu files has a decent background and it is ready for render. That is it very simple. This brick will make your architecture stand out in the render. 17. Essential Tips for Lumion Part 3: Highlight Detail: In luminus. Sharpness effect and Hyberlight will increase the quality of details captured in the rendering. First, sharpness effect. The quality of details obtained in the photo is defined as sharpness. We may give an image or video a considerably crisper appearance. The sharpness effect in lumen can help us with this. On the right hand side of the screen, click on the movie or photo button. Depending on the final output you need. The sharpness effect can be found in the enhancement tap. This effect is the most straightforward effect that you can find in aluminum. You have one single setting intensity to control this effect. The value by the fold might be too strong, so you need to adjust this effect considering the type of project you are working on and the amount of detail in your stem. Hybolight is aluminum exclusive patented technologies that will improve light quality in the rendering. As you can see, this option can be either on or off. You change the intensity of the effect using the slider. A down sign of these features is that there is no preview. To see how bolt affects the scene, you need to render a preview and adjust accordingly. Immediately, a rendered image is generated for us to review. Make use of your rendering at rabid feet is between each fender is visible. 18. Essential Tips for Lumion Part 4: Saving and Loading Materials: Hi everyone. Today I will show you how to save the materials you've applied to the three D model and reload them if necessary. We will need to save the materials used on the three D models throughout development. This should be done in case something goes wrong or we need to set material without losing any setting. This streak will speed up your workflow. Let's look at how we can take advantage of these possibilities. To save a material set, perform the following steps. Dilect Material. Tab in the three model lets you want to save material Set, Dilect one material. Here I choose the decorated rock wall. The Properties table will appear. Click on a third button called Save Material Set. A new window will open and you can save the material that by giving it a name and clicking on the Safe button. Again, a window will open and you need to select the file you saved previously and then click on Open. After Aluminum loads the file, another window will be presented to allow you to choose which materials need to be overwritten. Click on the thumbnails representing the different materials. To select or select the materials. After this, click the Overwrite materials button and the materials you selected are applied to the three D model. Let's see how we can save individual materials by performing the following steps. Select the material you want to save in the material table. Dilect the menu on the left corner. Click on the Safe Material to Custom Materials. These textures will be saved to the library of your. That's another way to do it. In the Material table, the menu on the left corner. Click on the Safe Material, to this button, save the Material set by giving it a name and clicking on the Safe button. This saves a file with the extension L and M. To load individual materials by performing the following steps. Select the Surface one to load Material, the Material table will appear. Select Menu. Click on the Load Material from this button. That is it, very simple. This streak will save you a lot of working hours. Pray. We now can save and load materials in Lumium. 19. Essential Tips for Lumion Part 5: Import Video Texture: This tutorial will teach you how to use a video as a texture. This really benefits a television on a commercial LED billboard which will look much better if a video is played. First, I will import television model on a three D warehouse website. We can download any three D model included television model. After importing this model, I will scale it to match the interior space to load a stature, apply a standard material and click the Choose Color Map button. But instead choose the movie that is less than 15 megabytes in size. When you choose and import the video tetes, the icon changes to the film strip, indicating that you now have a video. Because the movie will begin to loop. You must keep this in mind when creating an animation. You can adjust the amount of costliness if you believe it is too high or the relief or the reflectivity or anything. That is it. Very simple. 20. Essential Tips for Lumion Part 6: Render Many Options: During the idea stage, you may have many options for specific details that you'd like to discuss with the client. For example, the first Sash options. This tutorial show you how to upload and render many options in one click Illumining. I will open the third photo set and copy the effects from the previous lessons. We can copy the effects that we already set up in the previous photo. To do this, open the photo, select the Copy button next to the New Effect button. Click on this button and all the effects used to our specifically are copied to the Lumens memory. There is another button, Con Paste that appears next to the copy button. Then I will add a layer visibility effect. This effect will help organize many layer options by simply showing or hiding those layers. To control the appearance of layers in lumens perform the following steps. Use the New Effect button to open the photo effect library. Open the new effect, and you can start by adding a layer visibility effect first. The layer visibility effect is unique because you can apply more than one module to the interface and control several layers simultaneously. When applying this effect to your project, start by turning on, on off the layers, you can control up to 20 layers aluminum with this effect. Now we will create some other options for the first stat design. The three sketch up has been organized by component. It will be effortless to work on the first stat. The new option will be horizontal over 1 second. For my promotion, I offer one sketch up online course that will teach you all you need to know to operate efficiently with this program. This course teaches you how to do it better and quicker than ever. There will be a special offer for you who sign up for this Luminanus course, that is for advertisement. The nick option will be curved vertical screen. Final options is another type of curve louver. The blocking joint phon will have you create the thickness for those louvers. We will import 35 based on the layers name option one per Sat option 23.4 To move on the option models to the origin 0.555 As mentioned in the first less applied material options, Wooden for the second option, copper material for the third white pen metal. For the final option, we are going to set up for cameras for each Opstin after using the layer visibility effect to turn on and off according to each start. By turning on or off the layers, you can control up to 20 layers in Lumina with this effect. Finally, render multiple images at once. Render on photos for the camera views in the photo set delight, the photo set tab. We may have options for the render resolution. For example, email, desktop, print and poster delight photos that you want to render. Click the Ok button to save and a photo and immediately a rendered image is created that we can look at. Enjoy your renders at the brightness speed. We now have a render with four for Stat options. That is it, very simple. 21. Essential Tips for Lumion Part 7: Aerial View Airplane Window: Sometimes you want to make a unique aerial render, Looking out the air plants window will be a great choice. This tutorial will look at how we can use the image overlay effect to get more out or aluminum rendering. But first, we need to create a city from that you can fly around and create an aerial render. I'm going to show you how to use the open map system inside Aluminum. Open map is basically like the Wikipedia of GPS mapping data. It's user contributed information about streets and building. Here, work on the landscape. Fix the urban street map button and turn on the on switch. Delay the GPS coordinate button. Type a location name into the search area or click anywhere on the map place. Or move the GPS coordinate. Ten to pen. Hold down the left sell button, zoo with the smell wheel at chest. The radius of the urban street map area that will be downloaded by using the map spring slider. The 1010 kilometer lumin landscape is represented by the square. The circle represents the region, open street map that will be downloaded. Click the downloaded time map option to add elevation data for the Luminan Landscape. To download the selected region, click the Star Download button and wait for the download process to complete. You can get here in Venice, Iceland, and we have buildings that are coming from the corn. This entire region was built in less than a minute. To show a high individual building in an open street map model, click the High Structure Togo button and then click on the facilities you want to show. All high, we are going to create a camera movement. Start your first shot. Click then move the camera to the different angle. Click again and continue until satisfied. Then use the play button to check how your animation appears. A slider on the left side allows you to increase or free the speed. When you're happy with your animation, click the okay button and you are done using the built in ocean feature. You can create a seashore, simply enable the ocean feature under the landscape. You can change the appearance by using the slider. Trees will have your rendering come to light. We need some leaves, not an actual tree. Putters will be used for this purpose. They are light. Proceed and simple to use. Pi, the autumn effect would be harmful to those trees. To finish this, I'll use the image overlay effect. Applying an overlay with luminus is simple and quick process. To do this, we'll need a PNG image of an airplane window. You can download it from Google. Wait a few seconds. I will use Photoshop to remove the unnecessary parts and export it into PNG. We can then import this into Lumen, move into photo mode and apply the image overlay effect to set it up. This will allow you to import an image used over your camera viewport. Select the choose file function and select your preferred overlay. The overlay will then be applied to your stem. With the overlay now involved were also able to adjust the opacity of all overlay image. Following that apply the death of pill effect. Death of pill refers to the distance between an element that looks sharp in front and behind it. Open the camera tab. By flicking the new effect, I can choose the death of few effect. Use the analog color left effect to modify the color tone of the scene in an instant. You may customize the tone of the photo render by adjusting the value and quality of the style, slider, saturation, gama, brightness and contrast. Using the color correction effect. The handheld camera effect makes this appear as if your photos were captured while holding a camera. Ship effects in lumin ships, the plan of focus and blurs the fro and backgro. When seen from above your Moto export video Illumina. To export the movie, click the safe movie button on the right hand side. It's a one with the movie tape. We can export the MP four format with several options such as quality, strength per second, and resolution. Congratulations, you have the video for your proposal. 22. Essential Tips for Lumion Part 8: Export Render Channel: The rendering will need a post production process which will require a random photos channel or random passes. Lumin lets us export different random passes. Random passes also knows as random elements are the raw elements generated by the rendering engine to build the final image, the various Me can be extracted and mixed with software that support layer based composition. Render passes can be exploded. Depth map, normal map, pacular reflection map, lighting map, Sky Fa map, and material ID. These channels can be extracted and combined in Photoshop. This gives us significantly more control over the look of the final outcome. Let's see what we can come up with. It is similar to a standard picture render. We can create a render photo with many resolution possibilities such as E mail, desktop, print, and poster. On the additional output, we can choose which render pass we want to save and export the photo fleet, the Okay button and immediately our render image is generated for us to review, makes use of your rendering as rabbit speed. The difference between its render path is visible.
