1. Introduction: Hello everyone, Welcome to extremely important
lecture of networking, which name is IP addressing
assignment two devices. We are going to implement
IP address practically on all the devices in this
complete session in detail, I will let you know how to create network
design in simulator, how to use cisco
Packet Tracer and create Local Area Network
and Wide Area Network. How to implement
all the networks and interconnect all that
devices with each other, which cables are used to connect to various devices
with each other. How to provide the IP
address to end devices? How do provide IP
address to a router and creation for
van implementation. I'm definitely sure
after this session, there will be a great
exposure for you about IP address
implementation and designing. So let's get started.
2. Designing of Network: Hello everyone, Welcome to our first lecture of IP
addressing practical class. In this lecture, I'm going
to let you know about how to create a design in Cisco
Packet Tracer simulator. Because before IP address, we need to understand the
concept of how to create land network and how it
is implemented using one. So let's start with
that designing process. To make a LAN. First of all, we need n devices. After that, we need a switch. So this is my Cisco
packet tracer software. In this you can find here
are routers, switches, hubs, wireless devices, and another cable
connections devices. So you click on n devices. Here you will get pieces 123. If you don't want to use PC, you can also use laptops. So it is up to you
that you want to use n devices, laptops or PCs. After that, I'm going
to use a switch because switches or device which is used to create a land. So here I'm using 2960 switch. So here you can
see I just want to create a freelance,
because after that, I want to connect
these three lamps with the routers and it will
be implemented as a one. So when you want to
connect the switch to PC, then you have to use
a straight cable. So you have to go
and connections. And here you can see
copper straight cable. So click on switch, Fast Ethernet 0 by
one and F is 0 by 0. You can use any
Fast Ethernet port and you can connect the
device width, Fast Ethernet. So again, on another part, laptops are also connected
with the fast Internet. So in my third land, these are also connected. Now. This is not
designed for lands. Now you can say these
are the three lands. But if you want to check it, that these lands can ping only with each
other within the network because this time I
have not provided any IP address to design it because we have to
make that design. So if you want to connect
this design with the router, then it will access
the Internet. There are so many doubters. You can use 1841
router, 1941 router. But here I'm going to use
Gigabit Ethernet network. Because in giga, giga boat
is provided in 2911 router. So if you want to use
1 thousand Mbps speed, then you can use Google does. If you want to use a
normal ended Mbps speeds, then you can use it in 41 route. So again, click on
the connection, copper straight cable
gigabit and Fast Ethernet, gigabit and Fast Ethernet. Now, these are the land. So when router to router
connects with each other, then you have to
use a cross cable. Okay? Because routers and routers, these are the same device for
same device connectivity. You have to use cross cable. You can check out our
video on Skillshare. We have provided the video of connections of networking
device as well as cables also. But if you don't want to
use cross cable here, then you can add switch
port router code here. That is HW I C to D off
that outer WIC to D and add this, this one. You can add an after that. You can use here. Serial cable. This is so you can check
that router to router. You can also connect
serial cable with each other and
router to router. You can also use cross
coupled with each other. Same function is, is a well-known switches also because switches are
the same device. If you want to connect two
switches with each other, then it will be with
the cross cable. So this is all about
that design process. In my next lecture, I'm going to explain how to provide IP address
to end devices. So let's move on.
3. Configure IP Address in on PC or End Devices: Again, welcome to the class
of IP addressing practical. So in my last video, we have created that
designed for land. And one in that design we have connected switch
with the end device. Again, in this class, I'm going to make design, but in this class
I have to provide IP address directly
to n devices. So I'm going to create one land. So I need to switch and
after that, I need pieces. For example, there are six
species, are seven pieces. And we have to connect these
pieces with the switch. I'm going to connect
these switches with the pieces 34567. Now, if you only want to
create a LAN network, then you don't need to
provide IP address to router. Okay? So as you know, we have already discussed about subnetting on Skillshare format. You can check the video of subnetting part also
that now I need a seven pieces in my
one LAN network and in future when I'm going to connect this design
with the router, then total I need
eight IP address. So I'm going to use Notepad here just to let you
know about that. If you need eight
valid IP address, it valid IP address, then I need to use a slash 28, which is 255 to 55 to 55 to 40. Why? Because in this subnet mask, we have total 16 IP addresses. And valid IP address is 14, because one addresses
are reserved for network ID and another address is reserved for broadcast id. So 14 IP addresses are valid. And now maybe you are thinking
about that we need eight valid IP address then
why we are not using 29? Because in 29 we have
eight IP address. But as I already told
you that one address is reserved for network ID
and one is for broadcast id. So my valid IP addresses
are only six here. That's why I'm going to
shift my subnet mask in two to 55 to 55 to 55 to 40. So in detailed description
of subnetting, you can watch over Skillshare
video on subnetting. So I'm going to
use C class here. So I'm going to use 192168
dot one dot 0 slash 28191681 dot 0 is my network ID. And 192 dot 1681 dot one is my first valid
IP address here. I'm writing here very
first IP address. And 1921681 dot 14 will
be my last IP address. 1932168 dot one dot 215. That will be the
broadcast radio. Broadcast ID is used
when you want to ping every device
in your network. So first, I will
provide IP address, and after this class, I will let you know about the
meaning of broadcast here. So let's starts with the
IP addressing practical. Click on my PC. And here you can see that tab of deck stop and go for
IP configuration. So 192168 dot one dot one. If you click on subnet mask, you will get the by
default subnet mask, which is fixed
length subnet mask. But here I have to use 240. So I will copy this. So that's why I
will paste in and I and other pieces 19216812, paste my subnet mask. 192 dot 168 dot
one dot 231 thing. I just wanted to let
you know if you use the same IP address
again in your network, then it will provide you Ara, that this address is already
used in the network. So you can use only one IP address at one
time in a single ad network. So 1932168 dot one
dot 25192216816, and that last 193216817. Now, this is my network. And when you click
on the cursor, then you can check here, slash 28 will be there. Now you want to pin
your n devices. You want to ping
your end devices. I'm going in Command Prompt. For example, pc number one
wants to ping PC number six. So it will use that command. Ping. Ping is known as
packet Internet Group, which is used to check the connectivity
between two devices. So ping 192168 dot one dot six. You can check there is an
reply from one dot six. Now what is the meaning
of this broadcast? One, DOD 15. So when you ping your
broadcast IP, just check. You will get a reply from every PC connected
in your network. So broadcast means
when you want to provide your information
one to everyone. So in my next video, I'm going to connect this
switch with the router also. And we will make design
IP addressing for n devices and also provide
IP address two routers. Thank you.
4. Configure IP Address on Routers: Hello everyone, Welcome to that third lecture of IP
addressing practical. In our first two lectures, we have created that Design
for Learning Network and also provided IP
address to our PCs. In this class, I'm going
to explain you how to provide IP address
to your router also. So let's start with
then devices again. Now I have it three
network here. 12 third network is which is going to connect with one router, with another router. So I'm going to use
their sticky notes. In my first network, I'm going to use a
class ten zeros, zeros 0, but I don't want
to waste my IP address. So that's why I'm using
subnetting slash 29. So my 10001 will be the first IP and 10006
will be the last typing. In my another network, I'm going to use B class private IP address 170 to 16 zeros, zeros slash 29 again, because here I also want to
use only for IP address. So one to six are the
valid IP address. Now in router to router, I'm going to use IP
address 1921681 dot 0. This is just for examples. Otherwise in routers we are
using public IP address. So here I'm going to
provide you example only. So that's why I'm
using this IP address. Why I have used the slash 30 because I need only
two IP address here. So let's start from the PC1. Again, backstop
IP addressing and 001 to 55 to 55 to 55 to 48. And now I have to
move on to second PC, 10002 to 55 to 55 to 55 to 48003 or gateway I will
provide you later. Third PC is 10003 to 55, to 55 to 55 to 48. I have provided IP
address to three pieces. Now, I need to provide IP address two routers port
also from the same network. So that will be 1000 for the IP address
that is connected. Switch with the router. Ip address provided on the router port is
known as a gateway. So 10004 will be the default gateway for this local area
network, then 0044. So in my next LAN network, same as 1721601255
to 55 to 55 to 48. And my second VC, 172 dot 16 dot 0 dot two. 172 dot 16 dot 0 dot three. And I want to use here 17216040 dot four will be the default gateway
for this network. 172 dot 16 dot 0 dot four. I'm going to copy
this and after copy, I'm going to paste in
that default gateway. So this is done. After that. It is the time to provide
IP address to router also. So click on the router, go to the CLI command
line interface. Now I have to provide
IP address to 0 by one, as well as gig 0 by 0. So continue with
configuration dialog. Know, this is my Enable
config interface, gigabit 0 by one. Ip address, 10004 to 55, to 55, to 55 to 48. Now router's ports are by
default in shut down mode. No shutdown. Command to link up Exit
interface gig 0 by 0 IP address. Now this is router to router. So I have to use 191921681
dot one to 55 to 55 to 52. No shut down exit. If you want to save
that configuration, use that command
to do right here. So the practical out
first router is done. Now move on to
second router here. On the second router, I have to again put the command no enable and on fig terminal, so far gigabit 0 by one. I have already provided IP
address 172160 dot four to 48. No shut down and exit
interface gig zeros slash 0, IP address 19321681, da2. No shut down. So you can check all
the links are green. Do right is used to save
that configuration. All the links are green here. Now you can ping within
the land network. So if you go to the
command prompt, they're paying 10004 nowadays going to ping the
gateway of this router. So similarly, you can
check the pinging with this simulation process
like this, successful. You can click on this message, you can ping, and you can also paying router
to router also. This is, I have to check. Successful. Okay? So this is all about IP
addressing practical. I'm sure it will be a
great knowledge for you. And now you can practice
this at your home. Thank you so much.
