at in the next module? Module two, why journal? Why would you want to go into
journaling? Let's go there.
3. Why Journal?: Right now we are on Module two. We are coming from mod one
and now we are in Module two, which is titled Y Jon al. Let's go straight
into it and see why would you want to
go into John Allen? The advantages of you going to John Allen is what you
want to consider right now. Let's go right into why Joal? Why would you want
to go into Joalin? Jonalin has long
been recognized as a powerful tool for
self expression, personal development, and
insightful discovery. Here are some benefit. We want to go and see
benefits of Jolene. If you go into Join, what are the likely benefit you are going to get from Jolin? That is why we want to go
and observe right now. Number one, self discovery. When you go into journalism, you are able to understand your pattern of thoughts and
your pattern of behavior, and not only that, you are
able to understand the way you react and respond
to those thoughts. Then you are able to get
insight into your values, your desires, and your fears. You are able to understand
what your values are and how those values
impact your life, your desires, how those
desires impact your life, your fears, and where those
fears are coming from. You're able to
understand all of those and understanding that
is very important, very, very important.
Internal intelligence. When you go into journaling, you are able to achieve
internal intelligence, develop self awareness
and empathy. This is very important
if you want to maintain and have a rewarding
relationship with other people. If you want to have a rewarding relationship with
people around you, even with your own self, you must be able to have
internal intelligence. You must be able to develop
self awareness and empathy. Number three, creative growth. When you go into Journalin, you are able to assess

ideas without judgment. Nobody is judging you and you are not also
judging yourself. You are also able to

You are able to conquer it, so there's nothing stopping you, there's nothing limiting you. Number four, head clarity. When you go into journaling, you are able to organize your scattered thoughts
and prioritize your goals. You are able to organize your disconnected,
disjointed tots. You are able to
organize them together, and also you are able to
prioritize your goals. We are going to the next module. What will you be considering
in the next lesson? It is lesson three, Module three, overview of
the three advanced methods. We will be going into the three advanced methods to see what they are
and how they can add value to your life and how
they can contribute to your personal development and growth. Let's go right there.
4. Overview of the three advanced methods: Welcome to Module three. In this module three,
we'll be taking a look at the overview of the
three advanced methods. It's just like we
are going to scratch the surface of the three advanced methods
and in doing that, we'll be taking a look at
stream of consciousness. We'll be looking
at dream journals, we'll be looking at the
future self writing. This is overview,
scratching the surface on all these three advanced
practices. Let's go writing. Stream of consciousness. This practice involves
writing continuously, without stopping, allowing
thoughts to flow freely. So when you do stream of
consciousness writing, when you do stream of
consciousness journaling, it allows you to write
continuously without stopping, allowing your thoughts
to flow freely, and this will help you to uncover ding patterns
of triggers. And ideas that might
be suppressed. It will allow you to uncover
discover hidden pattern of triggers and ideas that might be suppressed deep inside
you. What is the goal? The goal of stream of
consciousness is that you are able to as you are
able to explore. You are able to
assess and explore the unfiltered
subconscious mind. The key benefit is
that it enhances creativity and provides
clarity for you. You are able to get
your creativity enhanced and you are
able to achieve clarity. Free writing exploration. This is an exercise for
the free exploration. I need you to set
up this exercise. Take a blank page of
a notebook or Jota, open a digital journaling or open a digital
journaling app. Set a timer for 10 minutes. I need you to set your
time to 10 minutes. Number two, use the stream of consciousness method to write whatever comes to your mind
without stopping or editing. Just keep writing whatever
crosses your mind. Don't stop, don't edit. Then don't worry
about the grammar, punctuation or whether
it makes sense, so it does not make sense. Then the third thing
you are going to do is to reflect on your entries, what you are flitting
in number two. Once the 10 minutes stops, read through your entry, read through everything
you are flitting. Then highlight any
recurring teams or surprising thoughts. Then ask yourself this question. What does this tell me
about my current mindset? If done correctly and you provide honest answers
to this question, you will see that
you will get insight into what your current
mindset looks like, and that is what you
want to achieve. That is what you want
to see for yourself. Just make sure you provide correct answers
and honest answer to this. What does this tell me
about my current mindset? We are moving to the nest, which is dream journals. What is dream
journals all about? A technique for capturing and
interpreting your dreams. That is what dream Donors solar, but it's a technique
for capturing and interpreting your dreams. Dreams often hold
symbolic messages from your subconscious
mind and can be a resource of self awareness
is an inspiration. Your dream holds
symbolic messages from your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is trying to pass a
message to you through your dream and can
be a resource of self awareness and inspiration
if it is well earnest. So the goal of doing
dream journal is to cover insight from your subconscious
through dream recall. Like I told you that
your subconscious mind is trying to
communicate with you. When you do dream journals, you are able to cover insight. You are able to understand
and decode message being sent to you from
your subconscious mind. The key benefit is
that it enhances self awareness and creativity by interpreting your
coding symbols and team. You are able to
achieve self awareness and creativity by
interpreting your coding this exercise is
for dream donor starter. Let's go writing.
Recall your dream. If you remember a recent dream, write it down as much
detail as possible. If you don't remember a dream, write about a recurring dream or a memorable one
from the past. Number two, then I need you to analyze the key elements in that dream that you
have written down. List the symbols or
events from the dream. Then write down what
each might mean to you. Then the third one, you now reflect on what you are writing down
in number three. Consider how the dream might relate to your current
life situation. Consider the connection,
the link between the dream and your
current life situation. Then ask yourself this question. What insight or message can
I take from this dream? What insight or
message can I decode? Can I get from this
dream? Very important. Then we go to the third,
which is future self writing. This involves envisioning
your ideal future and writing from the perspective
of your future self. It's a powerful tool
for goal setting, motivation, and building
a vision for your life. Future self writing is a powerful tool to set
goal for your life, to motivate yourself and build
a vision for your future. The goal of this is that it allows you to
achieve connection. With your aspiration and align actions with
your long term goals. You are able to connect your goals with
the right actions. That is what this is going
to help you achieve. What are the key benefits? It boost motivation,
reduce fear of failure, and clarifies life direction. So it empowers stiation. Let's look at exercise
that is going to allow you empower you to achieve
future self writing. Imagine your future self. Close your eyes and imagine
yourself five years from now. Picture your ideal life, including your environment,
achievement and feelings. Write a letter.
Write a letter to your present self from the perspective of your future self, including advice, encouragement, and description
of the life you've built. You are going to advice
yourself, encourage yourself, and describe the life you've built for yourself
in the future. Then reflection,
reread the letter and highlight key goals
or values that stand out. Ask yourself this more question. What more step can I take today? What more step can
I take every day? What more step can
I take every week, every month to move me
closer to my vision? This is very important.
And once you are able to lay your
answer on those steps, you make sure you
dedicate yourself to it, you commit yourself to it, to take those steps every day so that you can move
closer to your vision. We are going to the next module. In the next module, what
will be taking a look at? We will be taking a
look at Module four, mastering stream of
consciousness writing. We are going deeper. I told you that this overview is like scratching the surface. We are going deeper into those three advanced practices
right now. Let's go.
5. Mastering Stream of Consciousness Writing : Welcome to Model four, Mastering stream of
consciousness writing. In our last model, we only scratched the surface of the three practices of
advanced journaling. We want to pick
it one by one and start going deeper into it. We are touching the first one, which is mastering stream
of consciousness writing. Let what is stream of
consciousness writing? Stream of consciousness writing is an advanced
journali technique. It's an advanced journali
practice where you write continuously without
pausing to edit, without pausing to correct, without pausing to
organize your thought. You just keep writing
whatever crosses your mind. This practice allows you to tap into your
subconscious mind, Explore and uncover hidden
patterns of behavior or ideas. So when you practice stream
of consciousness writing, it empowers you to
explore to harness. That's very deep side of your mind, your
subconscious mind, you are able to explore
it and you are able to uncover hidden patterns
of behavior and ideas. It's not about producing polished content, not
at all, it's not. It's about creating a flow of thoughts that can lead
to self discovery. It's about you
creating a flow of thoughts that can
lead you to discover yourself to self discovery,
and creative breakthroughs. I'm very sure this is exactly
what you want for yourself. You want to know yourself more, you want to discover
more of yourself and you want to achieve
creative breakthroughs. We want to take a look at the techniques and
prompt that you can use to do stream of consciousness writing stream
of conscious writing. Let's go into it.
Techniques number one, free writing for
creativity and clarity. This particular technique we want to take a
look at allows you to achieve creativity and
clarity. Let's go into it. Start without an agenda
or specific goal. I need you to start without
agenda or specific goal. Do not have any agenda or
specific goal in your mind. Allow your thought to flow
naturally onto the page, even if they seem
random or disjointed. Just keep writing your
thought as they are coming up as they are crossing
your mind, keep writing it. Don't bother about whether it's random or it is disjointed. Overcoming self censorship. Silence your inner critique. Sometimes you may
feel like you want to censor yourself
as you are writing. Make sure you silence
the inner critics. Something that is inside you that is criticizing
what you are writing, that is challenging
what you are writing, that is trying to censor
what you are writing. Make sure you silence it. All you want to do
is you want to write freely as it is
flowing in your mind. Then remind yourself that
there is no right or wrong. There's no right or
wrong way to do this. Don't think that
you are not doing it rightly or you are
doing it wrongly. That should not be in your mind. Keep reminding
yourself that there is no right way, there
is no better way, there's no perfect way or
imperfect way to do this. Then if you get
stuck, simply write, I don't know what to write until the flow
resumes. Keep writing. If you keep writing and
you get to a place where you can no longer
write, just write. I don't know what to write. Write that until
the flu comes back and now let's see the prompts. Let's consider prompts
that you can use to practice stream of
consciousness writing. What are the prompts? What's on my mind right now? You want to ask yourself, what is on your mind right now? Whatever is it on your mind. Whatever is it that
crosses your mind, keep putting it down,
keep writing it down. What am I concerned about today? Whatever is it that you are
concerned about for the day, write about it, put it down. What does my ideal
day look like? Whatever you idea they
look like, put it down. If I could say anything without consequences, what would it be? If I could do anything without consequences,
what would it be? If I go anywhere without
consequences, what will it be? All these prompts will
empower you to begin and to start stream of consciousness writing for your own personal
growth and productivity. Now we want to look at
practical exercise. Step one, prepare. Find a quiet space
free of distractions. I need you to find a place that there will not be any
form of distraction. Set a time up for 10
minutes. This is important. Choose whether to write by
hand or use a digital device. Then write non stop. That's step two. Start with choosing prompt. Remember that we've
treated the prompt. Go and choose a prompt. If I could go anywhere without consequences,
where would I be? If I could say anything
without consequences, what will it be if I could
do anything without? What am I feeling today? What All those prompts
that we treated. Pick a prompt. Then start with choosing prompt or begin with whatever
comes to your mind. It's not necessary that you must go with the
prompts we've treated. You can choose anything
that comes to your mind. Don't stop, don't edit. Or worry about the structure. Even if you're told seem
chaotic, let them flow. Step three, reflect and analyze. This is where you will reflect
on what you are flitting and this is where you will
analyze what you are freezing. After 10 minutes, read
through what you flitting. Then you highlight. Look
for recording teams. Look for unexpected insights. Look for pattern in your
language or thought process. This is very important. Look for all these things. These things will give you insight in what is
going on in your mind. Applications of stream of
consciousness writing. One, creative problem solving. You use stream of consciousness writing to
solve problem creatively. Use this technique to brimstorm ideas or
solutions without judgment. It's especially helpful for breaking through creative loves. Then number two, achieve internal clarity and
creative generation. Clear yourself internally and bring out creative ideas in you. You are able to do all
these too when you use stream of consciousness writing
in your journaling habit. Next, will now be going
to the next lesson, the next module, what
will be consider? What would we consider
in the next model? Module five, dream journals
for insight and creativity. We will be looking at
dream journaling for insight and creativity
in our next lesson, which is lesson number
five. Let's go right there.
6. Dream Journals for Insight and Creativity: We are now on Module five, dream journals for
insight and creativity. We want to take a look at how dream journaling can help you achieve insight and also help
you to achieve creativity. Let's understanding dreams. Dreams are a window
into your subconscious, reflecting unresolved concerns, hiding desires, and
creative ideas. By recording and
interpreting your dreams, you can uncover patterns, symbols that provide valuable insight
into your inner world. When you record your dreams and you are able to
interpret your dream, you can uncover symbols that
provide valuable insight, valuable information
about your inner world. Key point, dreams often mirror daily experiences and
unresolved conflicts. They can also spark creativity
by presenting novel ideas, imagery, and problem
solving pathways. Regularly analysing
your dreams can deepen self awareness and
inspire innovation, and that is exactly what
you want to achieve. Innovation, setting up
your dream journal. If you want to set up
your dream journals, how do you do that? That is what we are
about to take a look at. What tools will you use to
set up your dream journals? Notebook. Keep a journal by your bed to jot down dreams
immediately after working. So you want to
have a notebook or a Jota by your side so that
immediately you wake up, you want to jot
down your dreams. All right, digital apps. You can also use digital
apps like Evernote, dream keeper or notion
for digital entries. If you don't want
to use notebooks, you can use digital apps, and the digital apps you can use Evernote dream keeper or notion. You can as well use that to
keep tab of your dreams. Voice memos. This is another great way to have
your dream recorded. Record your dream
details verbally. If writing feels
difficult in the morning. Because sometimes
when you wake up, writing may be a
little bit difficult. You can keep voice memos. You can keep voice notes,
record your dreams, what your dreams is
all about as soon as so let's take a look at what best practices
for recording dreams are. What are the best practices
for recording dreams? Number one, write immediately. Dreams fade quickly, record
them as soon as you wake up. Be detailed. Include everything
you remember settings, people, symbols, color, everything you can
remember, put it down. Dates and title each entry. It is important that you
put dates on title because this will help you with future
analysis and organization. Stay consistent. It
is not something you do once in a while one off too. You have to be
consistent about it. Even brief notes about dream
frag Mates can be valuable. You have to be consistent. If you know you want
to do dream donaly, you have to be consistent. It cannot be one off or something that is going to
be once in a long while. Analyzing dream patterns, identify recording
teams or symbols. Look for repeated images,
people or scenarios. When you want to
analyze your entry, the dreams you flitting down, you look for repeated images, repeated people or scenario, something that
looks keeps coming, something that looks
alike, something you can connect to one another. You look for it.
Explore connections. Focus on how the dream
made you feel fearful, inspired, curios, and
connected to your waking life. You connect the dots.
You connect the dots, you connect the handwriting on the wall to your waking life. Then we look at use dreams
for creative inspiration. Once you are able
to do the analysis, we are on the third point which you use the dreams for
creative inspiration, translate dream
imagery into art, writing or
brainstorming sessions. That your dream, you
translate it into imagery. Translate dream
imagery into writing, translate it into art, translate into
brainstorming sessions. This is going to help you a lot. I'm giving you an example here. If you dream of a
unique landscape, use it to inspire a story or
a painting. Look at that. If you dream of a
unique landscape, use it to inspire a story, or you can use it to
inspire a painting. Now, number four, apply problem, apply what you are able to
get that your analysis, apply it to problem solving. Reflect on dreams that address challenges in your working life. I'll give you an example here. Dreaming of climbing
a mountain may symbolize overcoming a
significant obstacle. When you dream that you
are climbing a mountain, it may symbolize you overcoming a significant
obstacle in your life. Then practical exercise. You want to take a look
at practical exercise, setting up your journal. Choose a tool for
recording dreams and keep it ready by your bedside. Dream recording practices. For the next seven days, recall your dreams each morning, including fragments
or impressions. Applications of dream genres. How can you apply dream
genres and on what can you apply them
on self awareness, uncover hidden
behavioral patterns, all your coding concerns
through symbolic analysis. Creative inspiration. Use dream imagery
and narratives to full artistic or
professional projects. Three, problem solfre
approach challenges with fresh perspectives revealed
through dream metaphors. Now we are going to
the next lesson, which is the next module. So what are we going to take a look at in
the next lesson? ModussFuture self writing for vision and motivation.
Let's go writing.
7. Future self writing for Vision and Motivation: Here we are. We
are in Model six, future self writing for
vision and motivation, how you can engage yourself in future self writing and
achievison and motivation. What is future self writing? Future self writing is a journaling technique
that allows you to envision your ideal feature and document it in a creative
and actionable way. This allows you to picture
what your future looks like, what you desire your
feature to look like. Then you document it in a
creative and actionable manner. By imagining your future self, you can clarify long term goals, develop a roadmap to sources, align your present actions
with your aspirations. This practice not only
foster motivation, but also build a deeper
connection to your dreams, making them feel achievable. What are the techniques
and prompts that are involved in future self writing? One, a letter to my future self, a letter to my future self. Write a letter,
addressing to yourself, five or ten years in the future,
including the following. I need you to write a
letter to yourself, address it to yourself, how you want your life, how you dream your life will be in the next
five to ten years. Then in that letter, you are
to include the following. Where you are in life, where you are in
life, presently, your career, your relationships, your health, your mindset. I want you to include
it in that letter, where you are presently in life, what you have achieved
presently in life, in your career, relationship,
health, and your mindset. Then the achievement
you are proud of I need you to include the achievement you've made so far, the ones
you are proud of. Then the challenges
you have overcome. I need you to include this
as well in the letter. The challenges you
have overcome in life, then advice or encouragement
for your current self. You want to advice yourself, you want to motivate yourself, you want to give yourself
pat on the back, or you want to reprimind
yourself in some areas. You put all of that writing from the perspective
of your future self. Imagine you already achieve your dreams and are writing
as your future self. Begin with a prompt like
it's five years from now and have achieved whatever you have achieved,
write it there. Here is what my life
looks like now, write what it looks like. Describe your daily routine
and surroundings in vivid. Three, visualization techniques
paired with Journal. Step one, close your
eyes and picture your ideal feature in as
much detail as possible. What do you see here and feel? Who are you with, and
what are you doing? Step two, immediately write down the vision in your journal, capturing all the details. Practical exercise. Practical exercise. Create a future safe map. One, define your goals. One, define your goals. Divide your life
into categories. EG, career, relationships,
health, personal growth. Write one or two long term
goals for each category. After you have divided your life into
different categories, then for each of the categories, write down one or two long
term goals for each category. Number two, visualize
the milestone. Identify the key steps required
to achieve each goals. Each goals that you are flitting down on each of the categories, then you now identify key steps required to
achieve those goals. Consider what mindset. Consider what mindset changes
you need along the way. So what do you need
to change about yourself to achieve those goals? You consider them as well. Design your future self map. Use a blank page or a digital
tool to map out your goals, milestone and timelines, affirmations or
motivational statements. Example, in five years, I will be a published author
with two successful books, MistoneFinish the first
book in year one. Then you reflect, write a short paragraph summarizing
what excites you most, about your future vision. What is it that
encourages you more? What is it that makes you happy most about your future
that you have a vision. You write a short paragraph and summarize all of them in it. Applications of
future self writing. What are the applications
of future self writing? Strengthening motivation. By creating a vivid
picture of your future, you will feel more inspired
to work towards your goals. The connection to
your aspirations can help you stay focused
during challenges. That's true. Overcoming
fear of failure. In reinforcing it
reinforces the belief that your goals are achievable
with persistence and growth. You belief is reinforced
is back up that your goals are achievable
with persistence and growth. Writing from your
future self perspective can help you see
setbacks as temporary. Now we are going to the
module, the next lesson. What are we going to consider? Module seven, conclusion, analysing the power of
advanced journaling practices. We want to see how you can
fully explore the power of advanced journaling
practices. Let's go.
8. Harnessing the Power of Advanced Journaling Practices: And here we are the last
model of this course, conclusion, annesing the power of advanced journali practices. You are going to see how you
can fully take advantage, how you can fully maximize the power theta of
advanced journal practice. John Allen is more than
just putting pen to paper. It's a transformative journey. I have said this severally
that John Allen is most especially
advanced Jon Aalens more than just
putting pen on paper. It's a transformative journey that deepens self awareness. When we talk of
advanced journaling, it's a transformative journey. It's a transformative practice, a transformative experience
that deepens self awareness. I fuels creativity, it
empowers creativity. I ignites creativity. And also unlock your
full potentials. It unlocks your full potential. By mastering stream
of consciousness, dream journals and
future self writing, you've acquired tools to explore your subconscious harness
inspiration and build a vision driven life with all the skills you
have learned about. Now, you now have the necessary tools to
harness inspiration. To exploit your
subconscious and also to build a vision that
is driven in life. You want to build a
vision driven life. These tools that you have now, what you learn now has given you the necessary
tools to do that. Key takeaways. Stream of consciousness writing helps you clear
your head cluster. It helps you overcome self censorship and
also ignite creativity. Dream journals
offer insight into your subconscious
mind and provide a wellspring of ideas
and internal clarity. Future self writing aligns your present actions with
your long term goals, strengthening motivation and
overcoming fear of failure. By integrating these practices into a personalized routine, you can create a
sustainable habit that support growth in every
area of your life. Isn't that beautiful? I'm sure that is what
you want for yourself. Reflection and growth,
reviewing entries, set aside time weekly or
monthly to reread your journal. You need to create time
either weekly or monthly toad go through what
you have journal. Because if you don't do that, your journal is meaningless. When you now set
aside time weekly or monthly to reread your
journal, what do you look for? You look for recurring patterns, insights or symbols
progress towards goals, areas for improvement or
unresolved challenges. Number two, self assessment,
ask reflective questions. Then after you have gone through what you
are written down, you now ask yourself reflective questions on those things that
you have discovered. What have I learned
about myself? With that journal
in? What insight have you gotten about yourself? How have my thoughts
and behavior evolved? These are the things
you will ask yourself. These are the things
you are going to provide honest answer to Then tracking progress, how do you track your progress. Use a Journal log to summarize key takeaways
from each sessions. Each sessions of your journal, Jenna log to summarize key
takeaway from each sessions. As I want you to do that
also for this course, each of the lessons, I want you to use a Journal log to
summarize the takeaways. What you learn from
each of the modulus, what you learn from
each of the sessions, I want you to summarize it. Then celebrate milestones like overcoming a fear or
completing a project. When you overcome a milestone, you overcome a milestone, when you overcome in fear, when you complete a project, celebrate it with yourself, give yourself encouragement,
congratulate yourself. Give your the road ahead. What does the road
ahead looks like? Let's go and check it
out. Reflect often. I need you to regularly
reflect on your entries. Regularly review your journal
entries to track progress. It is important that
you track progress. Otherwise, your entries
is meaningless. Okay, you need to
track progress. You need to identify patterns. You need to celebrate growth. It is important you do that. Stay consistent. This
is very important. And I cannot stress this enough. You need to stay consistent, be consistent with your entry. Build a journaling
habit that fits seamlessly into your
life, engage with others. Join journaling communities
to gain inspiration, share experiences,
and stay motivated. Evolve your practice. You don't want your
practice to be the same. Over the years,
keep reviewing it, keep adjusting it,
keep expanding it. Adapt and expand your
journaling techniques as your goals and needs change because
your goals and needs will not remain
the same over the years. They keep evolving, they keep changing as they keep evolving, as they keep changing,
your journaling techniques to need to be responding
to those changes. You journaling techniques has
to be changing according to the changes your goals and
needs are presenting to you. That brings us to the
end of this course. I want you to make sure you practice all the exercise
that I have presented to you in this course
and make sure you are consistent with your
journaline habit. Like I said, make sure you reflect often because if
you do not reflect often, your journal entry
is meaningless. It is when you review it, when you track the progress, when you track patterns, when you track your
behavioral patterns, you track all these things. That is when you
can make changes. That is when you can you can add value to your life
through journaling. If you do not do all this
there's no way you will see the impact of journaling in your life and in the
result of your life. As it is important that
you celebrate your growth, celebrate your achievement, make yourself happy and
motivate yourself, encourage yourself so that
you can see the effect and the impact of your journaling
habit in your life, and that is what you want
to see for yourself, and that is what I also
want to see in your life. Thank you for joining me in this course and see you
next time. Bye bye.
