I can reveal the secret of how interviewer evaluate you and how you can impress them. I also have high-level job with great benefits and flexible town allowing me to get my work-life balance. Cause I always keep my sincerity, self-understanding, and ability to find the right jobs. Therefore, I will have a view from both sides of the table which can help you with many exciting insight. In this course, you will get more confident by systematically understand yourself and the job. Then you will know how to present yourself in a charming and authentic way. Finally, you will know how to use your sincerity to read a different interview room. I will give you many examples former learned I learned over the years. Tips and strategy for my success and failure and laws of step-by-step instruction. It's going to be very easy for you to follow. If I can, you can. I'm very excited right now. How about you? Let's go [MUSIC] 2. How To Be Confidence Authentically: There are two essential mindset of highly successful interviewee that I'm going to reveal to you right now. One, there are many jobs out there, and employer are also trying to find you as well. You look at the unemployment rate, but do you look at the unfilled jobs and vacancies? Don't think of company as some evil frost trying to eat you. We are also human with worries about finding the right candidates. When I was in HR, I had recruitment target. Now, I'm the direct manager. I had lost some more hands-off, just want to assign it to you asap. We can be grumpy, doubting a little bit, because the cost of hiring the wrong person is very high, but we want to find you. Two, don't think of this as a show where do you have to become an actor. Don't think you have to do everything to win this job. Think of it as a day to see if we are compatible. Suitable partner will stay for who we are and value what we have. Be authentic. Sometime honesty would get you the job you need instead of the thing you think you want. Honesty will also help you avoid disappointment from both sides in the future. When you are sincere, you will receive sincerity from them. Let me tell you a real story of my life. When I was 24, confused over my career life, I apply into an e-commerce company. I pass the IQ test, solve a case, and go to the interview round. I share honestly that I want to find myself again through a new job challenge. Suddenly, she paused, and she kindly said to me, two years ago, she had to take a break from this job to find herself again like me. She emphasized that she would not choose this job if she were me, because it could be very time pressured, I will be swept away and do not have time to fulfill my personal wishes. As you know it, I failed that interview, but it was fortunate because I found a more suitable job later on. The salary is 80 percent equivalent, and I have more time to improve my mental health. Imagine that I got the job at that time. I don't know if I could be in such a bright energy to sit here and share with you now. However, you can just show the rough version of yourself. Employer are not here to see all your weaknesses, clumsiness, and lack of skills. You need to show the best version of yourself, the version which is like a hot jewel, know yourself very well, overcome your weakness, and constantly enhance yourself. Remember, be authentic, be your best self. With that mindset, what you need right now is understand yourself and the job very well. I will help you to do that professionally in the next lessons. 3. Class Project: The class project in this course will be the worksheet that I've prepared for you. The worksheet has three parts. You can print it out, duplicate my spreadsheet into your own, or you write on the paper, or use sticky note, you could stick it on your desk. What I prefer the most is using the spreadsheet because it's easier to write, rewrite, or move slide easily. After studying the lesson, you will find the project very helpful and easy to complete. Then lets share it in the student project section, and watch other friend project. I can't wait to see yours. Let's go. 4. What Do You Want?: When you learn about yourself, the first important thing is knowing what you want clearly. This is where you need to go straight to the point and be honest with yourself. Don't worry anyone judging about these wishes because that is what you want for you and you deserve it and for your comfort. Now there's only you and me know about these wishes. Let's answer the question, what do you want? It could be as simple as, do you want money? Write down precisely how much money you want as a minimum. For example, you could calculate your living expense, saving, family fund. We need this money for our daily life so our mind can feel safe without distraction. You could also write down your dream number. Don't think the more the better because without a clear number this is very challenging to draw the path and be motivated to get there. Write down precisely what you need the money for. For example, you want to have an extra $500 for shopping or save for family trip at the end of the year. You can base this on your current salary plus the value of your new skill and experience. You can also compare the market standard of the new position on salary.com, Glassdoor, or other salary information website. I want to add some other needs that people have and some appreciate much more than salary; learning and development. Does your direct boss have good expertise, can here lead you, give you positive feedback for your development? Promotion opportunity. It is the fast-growing company and has vacancy for you to apply in the future? Working environment. Have you ever experienced toxic or too competitive or to dull environment? Set a place so you can be the best version of yourself. Working style. Do you want a well as the best procedure or you want a creative, a power environment, or has no detail and time management. Reputation. Some people want job at great reputation company which can strengthen their CV, help them get better job in the future, such as school activity 514, a hot social media company. Welfare package, insurance, vacation, trip. Especially when you are planning to get married or have children, you will want to care more about these fields. Some other personal needs like how far from your house, do you have to work overtime, or can you travel abroad, et cetera? After listing all your wishes, you can easily and honestly answer many questions like, what do you expect from this job? Or what you like or hate the most from your previous job. If there is a reason you quit this job, what would it be? At the same time, is it easy for you to ask the employer about the benefit and evaluate if this job is really for you? Some big tip I wish I know earlier. Number 1, focus on why you want it because after you share it with them, they will ask why. You said you want a promotion opportunity. What if my company has no room for promotion? What is the reason behind that? Do you want a challenge at larger scale? Please clear it out. Tip number 2, rate must have and optional, which one you can't compromise and which one is okay to not have? Or another way is that you can sort by priority. Depends on your career and life stage you will have different priority. For example, when I was a student, my number 1 priority was learning opportunity because I can learn skills to use in my next jobs. The desire for money is below, so I can work at low salary to get experience. However, in my second company, I want promotion, more empowering working style and higher salary. Please follow me and write down in this section. You can draw some icons like money or airplane to get inspired. Once you know what you want, let's explore what you can offer to the employer in the next lesson. 5. What Value You Can Offer?: After knowing what you want in the previous lesson, now is the time to show me what value you can offer. The first is knowledge; is fact, information theory around your expertise. For example, if you're a marketer, do you have a good understanding about 4P or customer behavior? If you are an accountant, do you know about the tax role in this area? If you are an operator, do you know about relevant operating principle? You might gain this knowledge from your university major, master degree book you have read or online courses like this. The second is skill; is method, the ability to use the knowledge effectively through practice like professional skill, such as setting Facebook ad, PR writing, tax declaration, financial balling, design logo. Soft skills like communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, time management, pressure handling. Tool skill, like Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Canva or Languages. This skill may come from previous job, extra curricular activities, and personal activity like having family or cow. The third is attitude; is how you interact and deal with problem in life, such as confident, dare to propose, dare to do but not arrogant, a willingness to learn, fixed and grown mindset, responsibility, commitment at work, enthusiasm, honesty as a threat. Reviewing your college and classmate always commend about you or ask them for hand if you don't know. The forth is potential, which include personality. Are you an extrovert, introvert, risk adverse person, professionalist? Hobbies: reading, traveling, talking, playing with kids, or old people. Potential quality. A natural thing that you have been good since childhood without training like you're all well dressed, but you go well with animal. You can talk easily with an elder or very well organized. This potential are very helpful for fresh graduate students because they haven't had an opportunity to show themselves in jobs. It will have you stand out from other candidate at the same rank. The fifth is core value, would get something meaningful to you. Some people value health as it's easier for them to work for diet or sport company more than fast food company. But if some people value time more than anything, fast-food company might sue them. A simple task, imagine you are the brand ambassador of this company, represent the value that this company pursuit. How do you feel? This way will make you see clearly whether this is your core value or not. Let's reveal all the knowledge, skills, attitudes, potential, and core value that you have. You will feel much more confident. Let's go to the next firm to see beside what you have and want what the company want and have. 6. What Does The Company Want?: Next, let's see what the interview one from a candidate. Although we haven't met the interviewer yet, we have the job description. Let's analyze the job description and requirement to see what they want in four factor, knowledge, skill, attitude and potential. We can go to glass door and look at some digital marketing job. Let's see. Let's try this one. As you can see, a very detailed job description. First of all, I see they want you to create an ultimate all types of content, text, audio, video, and measure the impact of your content. These are professional skill. We see think outside the box means being created in solving problem. This is a personality. You need to do keyword research, a professional skill. HubSpot analysis is a tool skill. Creating videos, grip is a professional skill. Manage their time and energy as a soft skill. Positive, professional can do attitude. Clearly, attitude. Interact with everyone on our teams means teamwork, which is a soft skill. Organic, social and email marketing analogist. Analyze data is professional skill. Presenting campaigns and client update is soft skill. Brand positioning is the knowledge. English with ability to write, edit and speak is a tool skill. Attention to detail and quick learner are attitude. HubSpot marketing Hub tool, landing pages, email, CTAs, Semrush, Google Analytics, google Search Console are tool skill. That's it. Now you have the full list of what the company want from the candidate. Now let's have a look at the job you want to underline and make a full list of what they want from you. Now we already know what the employer wants from us. Let's see what they can offer us. 7. What Value The Company Can Offer?: To see what the employer can offer us, please scroll down to the last slide of the job description. You can see their salary, working time, working environment. Let's not doubt to your worksheet. As in this job for the salary part, you can see 60-100K per years. Flexible schedule. This is about the workings style, about professional development assistance, and paid professional development. This is learning and development. There you can see by the end there's a bonus pay. This is also about the salary. Remote is about the location. Minimal meeting, minimal wasted effort, minimal BS, Agile methodology, short sprints of focused work for great results is also working style. You can also find more information about them by Googling their names. They will be the website, Facebook fan-page, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. What is the company mission? For example, I know two gain company: One plans to build the best game ever. The other, plan to build a financial company based on game. That make me consider it a lot about my future intention. Is this company in growing or stable industry? What the state of company are in the introduction, growth, maturity, or decline? What to competitor do? Let's buy the product and try. You can also talk to former employer to know more information. We have covered all four segments of the work seed. Now, let's come to a very exciting part, mapping them all together. 8. Matching Level: Successful in hiring is a match between candidate and employee. First of all, let's compare what you have and what the employer wants to see the matching point and the different point. [NOISE] Now let's start to compare what value you can offer to what does the company want. Let's look at the knowledge. You have marketing BA, Facebook ad, brand course, and they want knowledge about organic, social, email marketing and brand position, so that is quite a match. But note that this is a core knowledge required for this job, so you should read more about this before the interview. I will note read more here. Let's come to the skill. You can write content, design banner, creative video. They want creating and optimizing all types of content. That is quite match. I think that you should build up your portfolio. Garrett, there are some image videos that you created and you find it's very interesting. Let's come to the doing keyword search. Actually, you haven't had a chance to do this much. We note this here, and we need to learn about this. Maybe you could learn it online or you ask your friend to help you to get the core of keyword research at quicker time. Analyze data to improve result. That is quite a match. Let's come to the soft skill. You can presentation, time management, teamwork, and that's all what their requirements, so that is the match. About tool skill, HubSpot analytic is quite new to you, so it's a not yet. This is a not yet too. SEMrush, Google Search Console is not yet too, so we need to learn about this. Learning about this will have you has a clear look at how it's going to be like. You try it and see if you actually like this and can do this, and it's also have you have the necessary tools skill for the interview. You have 8.0 IELTS in English. It's a match. About the attitude, you have can-do mindset, confidence, and willingness. They require a positive can-do mindset, quick learner. These are the match. But about attention to detail is difficult to you a little bit. You need to ask more about this because you want to know in which case do they need this, and you also want to be more careful because it is good practice for you and for overall, it Is this better. What about the personality potential? They require thinking outside the box. Even if you're not the most creative one, but now you can read more about it and watch more creative things to enhance this. Watch more. About the core value, this is optimizing marketing company using technology, so it's quite a match with your current core value. It looks quite good. I think this job, my feedback 80 percent plus. We can try something more to make it even better. Tip Number 1, if what you don't have is within your power, let's learn it. You can read about it or link it with the knowledge you already know to remember it quickly. If it is too broad, propose a plan to study it. For example, my friend is very terrified of Microsoft Excel, but she really wanted this job so she asked her friend to tutor her for a week and study day and night. Even though she cannot master Excel in one week, but she shares frankly with the employer, show her efforts, her learning ability, and promised to meet the standard in two weeks. This also prevent you from telling lie which badly affect your reputation in the future. You can also get plus point for excellent attitude. Tip Number 2, you can temporarily ignore the requirement of year of experience if you meet the standard of knowledge and skill. What is more critical here is your achievement and in-depth master of your expertise. Tip Number 3, what if the salary they offer is 25 percent lower than what you expect? Don't worry, you totally can negotiate. Every company has some salary budgets and wage. As long as you are a good fit, it's going to be okay to ask for a raise. Next, compare what you want and what this company offer. This comparison will have you quickly see what you have to know yet about this company benefit offer. Now we will come to the part where we compare what you want and what value the company can offer. First of all, the salary is 60-100K a year. Tell us bonus pay is apparently a match. About promotion opportunities, they do not mentioned anything about promotion opportunity, so we will need to ask about this in the interview round. I'll show you how to ask this in the next lesson. About learning and development, you want monthly training, team experience sharing. They offer professional development assistant, paid professional development. That sounds good. You will want to ask more about details and show the same version in this part. About workings style, you want result oriented, not too strict time management. They offer flexible schedule, minimum meeting, minimal wasted effort, agile methodology, shot sprint of focused worked for great results. That's sounds a match. About working environment, you want to open, non-toxic, gender diversified, but they do not state anything about this, so you want to ask about this in the interview. About location, you want a remote or less than five kilometer from your home, so they offer the remote. That is a match. They do not state anything about working time, travel, insurance, and vacation. They are not your top priority criteria, so we can ask interview later. About reputation, you'll search on this company on the Internet and see it is quite okay. Nothing remarkable. That's it. You see the top priority criteria is much. You need to ask more about the top four criteria to make this the best job you want. If there is something vital, you can ask when you received the phone call from the interviewer. We have complete Worksheet 1. How are you feeling now? Have you gained strength and confidence by knowing yourself and the job systematically? Now in the next lesson, I will help you the way to express yourself at your best. 9. Please Introduce Yourself: The employer's first impression of you is how you answer the question. Please introduce about yourself. Why do they ask that question? Let me tell you from the employer perspective. The most basic of this question is to make you feel comfortable. It is more natural to pose a question based on what you've already answered. The second purpose is that we want you to summarize all the value you can offer to our company. Please tell me upfront that you are the worthy candidate that we are looking for. How should you answer it? Please don't answer about how old you're. Can be a life story, especially what you benefit from this company. Tell me the value you want to bring to our company. I have a formula for you. I am, I help, I do, the result is, this job need, I have experience, I want to help you. Let's try with a content marketing position. I'm Alice. I'm specialized in helping food, fashion and home appliance online businesses make compelling promotional videos to attract more customers and bring more revenue. I understand you have social channels. You want to film and edit million-viewed videos. I have experience doing this for 2 years. That's why I'm delighted to learn more about your company and how I can help you the most. Tip number 1, if you haven't had experience, change I do from I want to. Let's see the example with the marketing intern position. Hi, I'm Alice. I'm very interested in marketing. I really want to help businesses to carry out effective marketing activities with my ability to write content and run ads. I understand that you are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working intern. I'm a quick learner and a hard worker in extracurricular activities during my four years at university. That's why I'm delighted to learn more about your company and how I can help you the most. Tip number 2, keep it short about 30 seconds, like a movie trailer. Always end the introduction with the ask to help them line. Can you see the difference between the ask for the job candidate and ask to help them candidate. Now, it's time for you to write the introduction yourself. In the next lesson, we will learn how to express our knowledge. 10. Show Your Knowledge: As we did earlier, we know that this job needs specific knowledge. The interviewer can give you online test, paper test, or ask you the question directly in the interview. Tip Number 1, the first thing to do is prepare well at home in advance. Please reread your document and do research. For example, if you're applying for an accounting position, please reread about this business model related tax law and regulation. If you apply for a marketing position, please review about the theory of marketing that you all ready learned. Tip Number 2, however, if you don't remember that knowledge, be honest. You can answer the question like, I can find the answer in this book or in this website. Now is the Internet century, memorization is not the only way. Tip Number 3, there is some knowledge that you probably don't know, be honest and confess it. You can also say that, I can deal with this problem in another way. Now we all ready know how to show our knowledge, what about the skill? Let's go to the next lesson to find out. Amazing tips await you. 11. Show Your Skills: The skill section is the longest and most demanding part in the job description. When they ask you questions like, have you had experience with customer service or what you find most challenging in communicating with customer, or telling me about a situation when you dah dah dah, the purpose of the question is to evaluate your skill. Even though you have written in your CV, the employer wants to know how professional you are in detail. A simple answer like oh, yeah, I have that skill, is not enough. Let's try this formula. Difficult situation, effort, result, and lesson. Example 1. Have you had experience working with demanding customer? Difficult situation. Yes, I once met the most demanding VIP customer at my previous company. He has a big budget, but he wants to customize our software significantly. The junior staff can't convince him, so his contact is assigned to me. Effort. Unsuccessful. I've tried many ways, going directly to customer finding out his preferences but to no avail. Successful. At the second meeting, I asked to visit the staff's working area. I realized his employees are extremely loyal to the current old-school software. Result. With that insight, I did not customize the software but gave him a two-day internal training program. If the staff voted to use the new software after that, he would sign the contract. As a result, I signed that 10-digit contract. Lesson. I realized that my flexibility and positive attitude, analyze customer skill make things work. I will continue developing that skill into expert level. That's convincing, doesn't it? Remember when you tell about your effort, include unsuccessful and successful one. When you tell about the result, include detailed number, not just good results or amazing result. Lesson is where you emphasize the skill that you have learned. Tip number 1, what if you just graduate and you haven't had that experience? Example 2. Did you say you have experience in organizing activities to engage team members? Difficult situation. Although I have not worked yet, I am the eldest child in a large family, and from the past five years I have been the one to plan outing for a large family of 20 members with different ages, from newborn baby to 80-years-old grandmothers, and other interests together. Effort, unsuccessful. When I did it for the first time, I tried hard to follow everyone wishes and crammed a lot of activities, but everyone was too lazy and refused to participate. Successful. Next year, I learned from my experience and ask everyone their own opinion on what they like to do. I realized, there is no need for all activity to have 20 participant. The activity before, during, after the meal need to be 20 people and the rest of the day should be left to separate group to operate. For example, a group of women like going to a Spa. A group of men and children like swimming, surfing. Result. There is a balance between activity of the large family and small group to bring satisfaction to everyone, and every year my family go out in large number. Lesson. I learned that I need to listen to everyone opinion, not impose what I think is right and good and at the same time create activity that suit the need I hear. Tip number 2, this method can also apply to question about your failure or lesson from your previous jobs. Example. What is your biggest failure in marketing? Difficult situation. Once, my company did a media campaign that include booking PR from influencers on YouTube. This campaign is critical because it is the year-end sales season, which will determine the company's sales and the bonus of the whole team. But five days before the event, the influencer decided not to work with us anymore via email. Effort unsuccessfully. I tried many way to contact that influencer, but no reply, and my team were very chaotic. As the person in charge, I feel guilty because I didn't check more carefully and have a better plan. Successfully, that day I decided to go home 30 minute earlier and drive around to relax my mind. When I calmed down, I suddenly remembered an influencer I worked with last year. She is enthusiastic and I could ask for help and fortunately, she agreed. Result. Although not achieving the expected result, my team still completed 80 percent of that month target. Lesson. I always have a well-prepared backup plan to prevent risk from that time on. Nobody is perfect. Show your mistake with honesty and share about the solution will make you a human, not a non-failure robot. Now, choose one of the most essential skill for this job and write a case that you prove it. We have learned how to express our knowledge or skill. An interesting part that you often encounter it's situation question. What to do then? Let's go to the next lesson. 12. Deal With Situation Questions: Situation question is my favorite thing because it's unexpecting, require candidate to answer immediately without preparation so I will have more honest answer. It's also easier for the interviewer to compare you with other candidate a different age and experience answering the same question. Sometime we also include real situation in the company, so you can somewhat imagine the actual work. The first thing you need to do is slow down a little bit, take a deep breath, and use this formula. Analyze the situation, state your idea, and state why. I like to ask content marketing candidate, I have this tape, what could be the craziest thing you could do with it in the office contexts? Analyzing the situation. This tape is a large, single-sided, very long tape with a carton [NOISE] core in the middle. I think I can do a lot with it. There are many people, computer, windows, ceiling lights, and decorative objects in the office context. State solution. Depending on what idea pop up in your head, tell them, because there isn't much time. Don't try to find the best solution. Just say it, then you can refine it or say a battle one. State why. This will be the most exciting part, for deep reason will leave a deep impression. Let me tell you about some of my candidates response. A candidate consider whether he need this tape or not. If not, he will return it to me because he like everything at the right time in the right place without wasting resources. I see this person as a practical, purposeful person, but not a creative one who has a lot of ideas. A candidates wants to stick it into a picture on the wall, stick it into a shirt to wear, or stick it into a rope to swing from the second floor to the first floor when leaving this interview room because it's fun. I see this is a creative but improvising candidate. A candidate who want to tie two people who didn't like each other in the office because people didn't get along very well at her previous company and she regret it so much. I see this is a people-oriented candidate. Even if you're a silent thinker, you always should share how you analyze the situation with the interviewer. I was in a meeting with a front-end developer and the department manager, he gave the candidate a math problem, and asked her to program right away on his computer. The interviewee, she was shy and also why thinking she typed a lot. When managers say times up, sit up, she canceled a and delete everything and say she cannot solve the problem. When the interview end, I asked the manager to control this before she deleted all and he was amazed. Even though she hasn't solved the problem, her way of thinking is very systematic, clear, and better than any other candidate. He want to invite her to the second round. I called and encourage her and believe it or not, she got the job. The lesson here is that the interviewer do not always want just the answer, he want to know your thinking approach, so be confident and share the whole process. Now, we have known how to answer frequently asked question, let's come to the next lesson to figure out what to do in specific interview round with HR, Derek boss and furthermore. 13. HR Round: You will usually go through different rounds of interviews. What is the purpose of each? HR will go from screening CV to final decision with the department that they directly manage the HR or administrative department. But for other department, HR only checks for required criteria. They would tick the box yes or no. Then HR will leave you to special department for in-depth interview and hiring decision, because they do not have the best expertise and understand about each department. Juggle here is to confirm you have knowledge, skill, and attitude, and requirement and get at the second interview with your direct boss. Interview which HR can be face-to-face video call or phone call. Usually, they're going to ask you about knowledge. Where do you study? Do you have any certification? Or maybe to save time, you would take the test here. Skill. Do you have experience in doing this? Tell me one situation. What are the achievements at your previous job? Attitude. They're going to give you a situation. Potential. This interview row are usually not too long to go deep into interests and evaluate potential. The human resource department will also be very interested in goal. Why are you interested in this profession? Value. Why this industry? Why our company? Because they need to lower recruitment risk. They want to make sure you will not change industry, change expertise or leave soon. They can ask why you left your previous job? Why one year no work? How long do you plan to stay in this country? Is your house far away? Are you going to do any other full-time or part-time jobs? Answer honestly and confidently with what you already know about yourself in the first lesson. Some questions might be controversial, and it can be misleading to answer at this time. In this HR round, you can share as generally to avoid unfairly disqualify. You will have the opportunity to share it in-depth with your direct boss in the next round. However you try, there are many cases that the employer will disqualify you immediately. One, do you lack required skills for this job? If you've finished the worksheets one, you will notice beforehand. Two, a candidate with a bad attitude. This is very challenging for you to realize if you have that attitude. Notice about the body language like wrinkled eyebrows, sitting back, or get irritated. Or you can ask for sincere feedback from your former college. I know it's very hard to see and hard to change, but sometimes that person needs to be eliminated so they have motivation to change. You can make impression by showing enthusiasm for this job, by asking who you're not sure about the job description. For example, who will I report to? This is a work in a team or individual. Don't ask about what is already written in JD, it will show that you are not well prepared for this interview. You can also ask to get more insight to prepare better for the next round. This is a new position, a word missing in the previous candidate that I can improve. What can make a candidate stand out? Interviewer will feel your enthusiasm and want to invite you to the second round, because high chance is that you will get the job and they will meet their recruitment target. After the interview, write a thank you email, thanks for their time and sharing about the job. Now, it's time for you to reveal all the skills you need to emphasize in this HR round. Let's go to the decisive round with the direct boss in the next lesson. 14. Direct Boss Round: In this interview round, you will get a chance to know your direct boss who will affect many aspects of your job like promotion opportunity, working style, working environment and you're going to have the chance to express yourself. For the direct boss, this round is almost a decisive round. They will evaluate your knowledge and skill in depth. Consider the detailed working attitude whether it is suitable for the team working culture. Evaluate potential personality, interests, extra qualities. Evaluate values and goals for long-term devotion. Only one or two candidates will pass this round. If the direct boss wants you, he will want you to start work early. Tip number 1, because the direct boss would care the most about your skill, so remember the formula: difficult situation, effort, result, lesson. Or with situation question, remember the formula: analyze the situation, state idea and state why. They will not only ask you to tell about the experience large in HR round, they will want to know why and how to really see who is talented. Tip number 2, with more sensitive questions, at this round with the direct boss, you should answer precisely what you think. Do you want your neighbor, or relatives to know? They may not understand and sympathize with you. That's okay. Still, you need to tell close friends, lovers to know and accept it. Accept yourself so you don't have to cover up every day. Example, everyone has a goal to be with my company in the next five year. I frankly share with the interviewer and I receive two answers. One is that questioning might mean. How can you devote to our company if you have that goal? The second one, he said that, if you want to be our country manager, you will have the required skill so you can start your business whenever you want. Maybe after a long time working with our company you like us so much that you want to stay for longer. Think about it, if you were me who are you going to choose? Of course, I choose the second boss. I worked at that company for three year, we have a great time and achieved many good results. This is when you can ask more about the benefit that company can offer. People usually ask, does your company provide training? Do people speak ill about each other and about the boss? Is the environment toxic, or is there any opportunity for promotion for this position? Don't ask like that. You will only receive a very general answer. Chain them into question about activities. How often does your company holding training session, or what training activity do you usually do? Or what about the company new market segment in this year? Or do you got a plan to go into the new country this year? Don't ask, does your company have overtime working? Ask them, how often or in what occasion or what season that you have to go overtime working? Or you can speak frankly and share that in your previous job, people speak ill of the boss very often is affect my spirit and efficiency so I don't want this to happen in my next job. You raise the problem and observe them. If the answer is directly or hesitantly. Of course, no one is going to tell you that, yeah my company has a very toxic environment. But you informed them in advance and they have a chance to get you the environment that work best for you. Or if the environment is really toxic, they can probably consider choosing someone else and is still very good for you. You can also ask your direct boss about his point of view about this career. He not only lead you with expertise, but he can also influence a lot about how you view this career. Example, I have experienced many management style, but my first boss who had this style of focusing on people, instead of focusing too much on KPI or procedure affect me a lot and shape my leadership style. Find the boss you can admire both professionally and personally. Once you have decided you want to work with this boss, leave a significant impression by just doing one thing. Really care about them as a person. Is obvious, right? But people do not usually do that. They think the boss is some evil force, always give task and deadline. But like to end this. One, care about what they need now by asking, how will my position help you this month? Are looking for anything special in this position beside the common requirements? Has anyone taken this position before and what do you expect me to do better? Two, care about their dreams and desires. What's in this year goal that you want me to contribute to? What plans, events and campaign do you want this position to make this year? Questions like this are great because it's stimulate the boss to gradually add you to the picture of the team future when you already got the job. Three, learn about their product and service and say what you can do more. I follow the posts on the fanpage website. I love this points and some other points can be improved. I buy this product and make my family tried it. They love these points and some other points can be improved. Four, you can also connect with their feeling. Build a rapport with them by asking, what is the moment you've been most proud of since working in this company? When they like you, they will share what the company needs. Please focus on listening, don't overthink what you need to say next. You can mirror, repeat what they said, repeat keywords to prompt them to say more. Or ask for clarification. Six, remember and use their name while communicating and emailing. Seven, after the interview, continue to send a sincere thank you email me in 24 hours, emphasizing the point that the boss said and you were impressed. Even though you have tried your best, but there's still possibility that you will be disqualified. Note that it's going to be very difficult to change anything if you receive a rejection email. You should recognize it through the way they asked and how they answered your question. You can be disqualified by the lack of expertise. It's easy to see by the number of specialized question you cannot answer or the low interests on your previous experience. It they like you, they would talk more about the company and how it works. If they don't, prepare to suggest them these options. If you think you have enough quality, but there are many other candidate, you can ask them for more challenge to show yourself. If you think you're not good enough but you believe that you can learn a lot from this job, you can ask them for an internship position. 15. Bonus Round: After the interview with your direct boss, 80 percent that you're going to get the job. However, there will be usually one more round with the higher boss, the CEO. Especially for high promotion or key project position with the same level boss to make sure there's no blind spot or with other team members to test the culture fit. Especially with the higher boss, they will care about, your skill to help team get this year's target, the cultural fit with the big company. Your vision for the industry. For example, do you believe in the NFT game industry? Do you believe in the service company is providing and its ability to scale? Your personal goal and vision. Share more about why you chose your expertise, this industry, your passion, ambition, and long-term commitment. You can also ask questions about issues that you are worrying to get more perspective. For example, about working environment. You can state that I don't like working in toxic environment and see their reaction. If the answer is quick and outright and they all be like, oh no, our team doesn't have that, we eat together all the time. Or they would answer like, think for a while and say, everyone is professional-working here. You need to reconsider it. About the promotion opportunity. You can ask them if there is any new project or new market they want to develop in this year. Compare this answer with what you already know from the direct boss to get more perspective. To make an impression, you just need to get the mindset of caring about their needs and want. For the high boss, peer boss, you can ask, what do you want this department to solve problems or reach any goal this year? What most significant change in this department recently that you like the most and want to repeat in the future. For other team members, what characteristics of an ideal team member do you want them to have? Yes, we have gone through all the interview rounds, now let's take a look and wrap up all we have learned from the start of this course. 16. Final Thoughts: That's so great.
