for anyone. We must adapt. That's the ugly truth. I have to tell you right here at the very beginning
of today's guide. But I'm not here to be

that has changed when it comes to the
Instagram landscape lately. And I will teach you how to adapt so you can benefit

2. Why Does Instagram SEO Matter So Much, and What Exactly is it?: Why Instagram SEU
matters so much, and what exactly is it? Let me start by explaining
what Instagram SEU actually is and whether it's much
different from traditional SEO. Creating original content
that's useful, inspiring, readable, and
sufficiently entertaining is only half the battle. Now to get new followers and traffic to your
Instagram profile, you need new people discovering your existence and new people willing to visit your
Instagram account. To get them to
visit your profile, you need to know what
they are looking for, what exactly they
are interested in, which words they use, and what type of content
would fit their intent best. You need to become
more discoverable. This year I've been testing on different
Instagram approaches. As in my day job, we work with content creators, influencers, and
entrepreneurs and all the signs are very clear. Instagram SU is now
a fundamental need for Rankio content in
Instagram searches. If you are trying to grow your Instagram account
for a long time now and still haven't seen a
rise in your organic reach, Your follower account
isn't growing either. Then you definitely need to give Instagram SEO a chance to make your profile
more searchable. Seo stands for Search Engine Optimization and Instagram SEO is the process of improving and optimizing
your account caption and content to increase
visibility on Instagram search. Instagram SEO is the practice of adding text based features, like captions with targeted
keywords, alt text, and searchable keywords
in your display name to help people browsing Instagram find your content more easily. To understand
Instagram SEO, first, you need to understand the
basics of traditional SEO. And that's what we are going
to discuss today as well. Don't worry, I will
be your SEO guide because I know that sometimes
those topics can be scary. At first, we will also focus on seven key
factors that will boost your visibility on the
platform and help you rank much higher in the
Instagram search engine results. We'll also discuss where
to put keywords to make the most out of
your Instagram presence. How to use hashtags to
make them work for you, even if you're already
given up on them. How to optimize your
content to make it more Instagram
algorithms friendly. And how to maximize
your chances of appearing high in the
search engine results. And on the Explore page, you need to know that
Instagram CEO has changed massively
over the last year. Now, hashtags
aren't the only way to get discovered.
Quite the opposite. Their power has decreased and new methods
are going strong. Some people even claim that
hashtags don't work anymore, which fortunately is instrue
because they do work. But you definitely need
more ways to boost your Instagram visibility and you can't rely only
on hashtags anymore. Mastering the more
technical side of Instagram SEO is absolutely crucial if you want to get to the top of search
results in stare. If your content is not well optimized and accessible to
Instagram search engine, it won't rank high no matter
how valuable your posts are. So now we're going to go through all the GC details about
Instagram U, specifically, how you can optimize your content to get
the most out of it, and how to make every
little element of your Instagram presence
work in your favor. People often ask
me about shortcuts or tips and tricks
around Instagram. U, N, what's my reaction? Well, there are a few shortcuts. Popular alert. I
will share some of my favorite ones in this
course, so stay with me.
3. Class Project - Your Instagram SEO Workbook: Project. I created a short PDF for you with free
free tasks for you, and I'd love you to
share them with me. Please download the PDF and open it with the
app of your choice. Edit it and complete
these three tasks. In this course, I will share
my Protips and my methods so you can complete this
task and easily find new keywords for your
Instagram profile. Grow it more effectively. But of course, if you
have any questions, don't hesitate to ask them
in the discussion section. And as always, I will
gladly help you out. Okay, so you know what to do. What is your homework for today? We have to begin. There's
a lot to share. Let's go.
4. Is Instagram SEO Similar to Traditional SEO?: Is Instagram SEO similar to
traditional SEO, Yes and no. Let's elaborate on that. If you are new to SEO, then you can find it
overwhelming and confusing. I know I hear that from many people when I
teach them one on one, when we start our
social media lessons and social media EO lessons. But I tell you that
so you can relax and know you're not alone
of all the details. The facts can sound difficult, it can even sound
like black magic. But I promise I
will do my best to explain it all to you
so it makes sense. The truth is that SEU is a vast topic and
there's a lot to learn. But having this
basic understanding can be really enough
to get you started. So that's our first goal. As you already know from
the previous lesson, Instagram SEU is the
practice of optimizing your profile and your content on Instagram to rank
higher in search. Just as you would
use keyboards and analytics to optimize content on your website or your blog, you can also use very
similar tactics to help your Instagram posts show up more often
in search results. But wait, Instagram isn't a
regular search engine, right? Yes, it isn't a search
engine technically, but it has its own search bar, making SEO an important
part of the platform too. It incorporates many features of traditional search engines to help match users with the
pose they want to find. Now let's discuss
the similarities and the differences between
the traditional SEO and the Instagram SEO. Are they really so
similar similarities between traditional
SEO and Instagram SEO? Let's start with the
things that are similar. All text matters. Keywords are the
key in both cases. Keywords used in all the text pose matter quality content
that people want to share. Further is the heart
of both SEO types. Seo types are meant to boost
your online visibility. Now let's go to differences,
your authority. Rank is calculated differently, but it has a big importance
on Instagram as well. Instagram algorithms
truck how many sales and shares you post get and how long users spend consuming your
content on Instagram. We don't use Beklinks, but shares are such
a huge factor and they're a bit similar to
Becka links in a way. Luckily, Instagram,
SEO doesn't require so much time and effort as traditional SEO.
Good news for you. What's really interesting, Google's own data found that 30, even 40% of young people primarily use
Instagram for search. That's a huge number. That's why you need
to benefit from appearing higher in the Instagram search
engine results out there. There are so many people looking
for profiles like yours. We need to make your content more discoverable so they can easily find you and
follow you far too often. I see amazing
profiles with tons of great content that doesn't benefit from their
Instagram presence. I don't want you
to be one of them.
5. What is an Instagram Algorithm? Or are There Many Algorithms?: In Instagram algorithms, or
are there many algorithms? Instagram algorithms are among the most commonly misunderstood
topics out there. And there are so many
myths circling around, it's time to get a bit technical and debunk
them before we discuss the way Instagram
algorithms work in detail and the way we can
make them work for you. And let's briefly discuss what Instagram algorithm actually
is and what it isn't. It's already confirmed
by Adam Mosseri, himself, head of Instagram, that there are more than one Instagram
algorithm algorithm, but there is no one
algorithm for Instagram. There are many algorithms
and ranking processes we use to try to
personalize the experience, to make it as
interesting as we can. For each and every person
who uses Instagram, we believe in this idea
of personalization. What you're interested in and what I'm interested
in is different. And so therefore,
your Instagram, My Instagram should
be different, and ranking is how we
deliver on that promise. This was a common misconception
and a common myth, so it's really good
to de band it. There are many Instagram
algorithms at play, Each of them developed for a different part
of the platform. Each algorithm ranks content
based on different factors. There are a variety
of algorithms, classifiers, and processes, each with its own
purpose to make sure Instagram users see the content
that most interest them. We want to make the
most of people's time. And we believe that
using technology to personalize everyone's
experience is the best way to do that. Head of Instagram, Adolmosari
wrote that in his post. To put it simply, Instagram algorithms are a set of rules and calculations that Instagram uses to determine how content is
displayed to users. All Instagram algorithms create a recommendation system that determines which post and which reels will
appear on your unique, highly personalized feed
and your Explore page. No two users will see the same posts on
their Explore page. The posts you see change
over time based on your viewing preferences and even your current state of mind. Basically, all the preferences on your preferences that
Instagram algorithms truck. Many parts of the way
Instagram algorithms work are still are still a mystery. Instagram team has never
revealed any detail about them, but we know for
sure that there are at least four
different algorithms and these are the
Feed algorithm. This algorithm shows
posts and reals based on the user's
interest and activity. The rank of your post can be also impacted by image
and video quality. Originality report content, as you can easily
guess, rank much lower. The second algorithm is
the stories algorithm. This algorithm prioritizes
Instagram stories from the account that
you interact with. The most Instagram stories are ranked based on your
viewing history, engagement history,
closeness with the account. Next algorithm, it is the
Explore page algorithm. This algorithm
delivers content based on all your latest
interactions and interests. The content you see in your explore section is
displayed based on your history, the history of your
likes, shares, and saves. The next one is the
Reals algorithm. This algorithm is in charge of sorting and prioritizing reels. Some key points that are
really important for this particular
algorithms include the quality of your reels. Relevant keywords included
in the content or captions. We will discuss it
a bit later on. Screen captions added, as
you can see, the feet, stories explore, and real sections are all controlled by
different algorithm. Our behavior tends to differ so much in different
areas of Instagram. That's why Instagram needs different algorithms in
different parts of it. Adamy explains it that way. People tend to look for
their closest friends in stories they use explore to discover new content and new creators and be
entertained in Os. We shouldn't forget
that Instagram is business as it's
so easy to guess. The platform wants you
to spend more time inside app to achieve this goal. It is learning how
to serve you better. How to serve the content
you'd like to see the most. The content you will
appreciate and yeah, and just simply enjoy the most. Instagram wants you to spend maximum time
on its platform. It aims to keep you hooked. How can you benefit from
it as a content creator? Let's break down the way
Instagram algorithms work and what are the most important Instagram SEO ranking factors. So you can use this knowledge in practice as you run your own profile and
share your posts.
6. How Instagram Algorithms Work - Instagram Ranking Factors: How Instagram algorithms work,
Instagram ranking factors. As you already know,
Instagram algorithms learn your interest and
compare them with the content they show you to maximize
the chances you will enjoy the content you see and maximize the chances that we'll
engage with this content. I will explain how it looks like for each Instagram
user, but don't worry. This knowledge will
also help you rank, hire the content you post
as a content creator. Because you will know which factors are the
key and how you can make the algorithms
appreciate your content and show it to more users. So how exactly do the Instagram algorithms
learn which users may like? Well, there are a
few key factors we need to discuss interest. Instagram algorithms analyze
all your past behavior and engagement on the platform
to determine your interests. They analyze the
post you have liked, comments you have left, the posts you have shared
or saved in the past, as well as all the profiles
you frequently interact with. That way, the post, your
interests and your passions are much more likely to appear higher in your personalized
feed engagements. We need to keep in
mind that Instagram heavily relies on
user interactions. The algorithms keep
track of how popular a post is by considering
the number of likes, comments, shares,
and saves it gets. As you can easily guess, highly engaging posts are
much more likely to appear higher in the search
engine results as well as higher
in user speeds. That's why it's so crucial
to create coning that our audience likes to engage with and to remind
them as often as we can that their
opinion matters to us. Their comments matter because the more comments a place gets, the higher it appears
in other users speeds. As the algorithms know it's engaging and sparks
people's emotions. And that way Instagram
algorithms knows it's worth it to share it further and show
it to more people. Usage of the Up?
Yes. Instagram also tracks how you use the Up. If you spend more time consuming certain
types of content, algorithms will try to show you similar
content in your feet to make you spend more and
more time inside the app. So for example, if you
enjoy binge watching reels, you will see more
reels in your feet. Personally, I'm a
living example. That's the way it
works because yeah, and at some point I
got almost addicted to watching Ls and saving them as an inspiration
for my clients. So yeah, relevance, this
is also very important. The algorithms
consider the relevance of the posts to you. The algorithm analyzes
the captions, keywords, and image or video
content to determine if it matches your interest
and your preferences. Watch Time. Why
watch time matters? Instagram algorithms,
it's simple. As you already know,
Instagram wants people to stay inside the app the same way Youtube wants people
to stay on Youtube. Tiktok wants people
to stay on Tiktok. Which is why Instagram
values things like session duration and
reals retention so much. It's really important
to Instagram if your Reals watch till the end, they are very precious
to Instagram because your content has this power to keep people's attention
till the very end, which means that
your content makes people stay inside
the app longer. Instagram has
unofficially stated that the metrics they value
most are watch time, average real view duration, audience retention, and seconds. Watch those metrics
measure different ways your audience views your
content and your reels, yet they are all ultimately
falling under watch time. From my perspective, watch
time is just as important as your reach and your real view
count higher watch time, boost your content
place in Instagram ranking algorithms and it's proven it also should
be a priority. And that's why it's so important to make people hooked
by your content. You know that's why the
first seconds of your video, content of your reels
matter so much. The hooks are really
important for your reels. If you want, I can also
create a separate lesson or even a separate course
about Instagram reels, Hooks and let me know in the comment section and
the discussion section or in your review if you'd like to see such a lesson or
such a course from.
7. How Instagram Algorithms Affect Your Account and Your Content: How Instagram algorithms affect your account and your content. Now you know how
Instagram algorithms work and which factors
are the key one, you know what Instagram
algorithms struck. In this lesson, we'll
focus on discussing how these factors affect your
content and your account. How those factors
like your watch time, your engagement rate, affect
the way your content ranks. It will be a quick
lesson as it is a topic I will discuss more in depth in the upcoming course dedicated only to
Instagram algorithms, how Instagram algorithms affect your account and your conent. The first thing, it affects your content visibility
on your followers feet. The algorithms decide
which post are displayed on your followers
feeds, in what order. Content that is recognized by algorithms as more
relevant and more engaging to a particular
user will be ranked higher and shown more often
reach and engagement. The algorithms determine
how many people can see your content and how
many people have a chance engage with it at all. If the algorithm analyzes, gather data and sees that your content is relevant and
your posts are engaging, it will be shown to more people and it will impact and
increase your reach, your organic reach and
your organic engagement, which is our goal right page. Explorer page is still a very, very important part of
Instagram platform as it's the main way users discovers new content
and new creators. That's pretty, pretty obvious. Our goal is appearing
there as often as you can, so new people can discover you. It's important to remember that each user has a
different explorer page. As this section is also
extremely personalized, our goal is basically
to appear high on explore pages of our
target audience because, you know, that's our priority. We want our content to be displayed to right
people and that's why we'll use keywords and that's the topic we will
discuss in detail today. As you already do,
Instagram's algorithms curate content for the Explore page based on user's interest
and past behavior. If your content aligns with the user's preferences and performs well in
terms of engagement, it may appear on their
Explore page Ftp. You can track how often your post appear in
the Explore section in each pose metric right
here, hashtag sections, the way algorithms see content and consider
it to be engaging and relevant or not
impacts the way your post appear in the
hashtag sections as well. For example, if I click on
the hashtag bash interiors, Instagram will show me the
posts that its algorithms find most relevant
and most engaging Es posts, beautiful
bash interiors. There really aren't many
irrelevant posts, right? Yes. Because
Instagram's algorithms are getting better
and better at this. In the past, when I was browsing the top post for the
hashtag bash interiors, I saw so many random
irrelevant posts. Now, relevancy is extremely
important for the platform, and Instagrams algorithms
focus on that factor so much. That's why when I click on
the hashtag bash intoers, the results are really much better than they were in
the past stories and reels. Instagrams algorithms
also affect how your stories and your
reels are shown to users, both your current followers and your potential
new followers. Stories and reels with higher engagement and
higher relevance are much more likely to be recommended to other users and have
visibility boost. So that's basically
the same story as with the Explore page. The next thing, ad targeting, that may surprise you, but Instagram also uses its algorithms to
serve targeted ads to people based on
their interests and all their online
presence tendencies and their online behavior. When people run
ads on Instagram, the algorithms will
help ensure they are shown to the most
relevant audience. And it works both ways. I'm sure you also see adds
that are personalized for you. So you see the ads which the algorithms
consider to be the most relevant to you as
are so personalized, the algorithm will only recommend what enjoy
and search for. And if you search
for, for example, women sweaters ads will show you stores with sweaters
and many sweaters ads. That's just a quick and
a bit cliche example, but that's the way it
works no matter how cliche it may sound
as are personalized. So they deliver the most relevant content to
the right people, at least in theory. Because we know in practice sometimes the
algorithms are wrong. It also happens, and the personalized ads are being
banned in some countries. So that's also an issue. But that's the rule, that's the primary rule, that these odds
are personalized. So the content, the ads content should be relevant to the people
who see the ads. That's a controversial topic. And that's why some
countries are banning personalized ads because they think that they are
against privacy. Yeah. And I think in some cases
they're absolutely right. Because you know
this feeling when, for example, you are
talking about something, or you just type in some topic into your
Google search once, and then you see the ads
circling around the topic. And you're like, I only type
in the topic once and you know you think I want to
look for it more often. So sometimes it's
really frustrating. And let me know your
experiences as well, because I'm sure we all have similar experiences when it comes to personalized ads. But that's the way they work and that's the way
they are designed to work. Now you know how Instagram
algorithms work and what Instagram algorithms
ranking factors are, and which ranking factors
are the most important ones. Let's discuss what
exactly you need to do to get your content found and
benefit from this knowledge.
8. Hashtags Have New Powerful Friends: Instagram Keywords: Hashtags have new powerful
friends, Instagram keywords. There is this heated
debate whether keywords are replacing
hashtags on Instagram. For now, the smartest
choice is to use both. Instagram is changing
all the time, so we can't predict its
next move so easily. But one thing is more than sure, keywords are getting stronger on Instagram and their
importance is increasing. I'm sure you've seen
different creators ending their captions with texts
that looks like this. If you've been wondering what, what these words are, these words are the
keywords they are. Adding more keywords
to their captions, the Instagram
algorithms can read it and match their content with the users interested in these
topics in this chapter, in this lesson, we will discuss what keywords
actually are in detail and have to use them to reach more people with
your Instagram posts. To understand Instagram
keywords fully, we will need to go back to the
traditional SEO for a bit. To understand Instagram SEO, you'll need to understand
the traditional SEO as well as social media are
implement many new features, many changes to
their algorithms. So the search engines are
more and more advanced. And yes, they really
are similar to Google search engine
in so many ways. Okay. The backbone of
traditional SEO is keywords. The first question we need
to ask, what are keywords? Keywords are the ideas and topics that define what
your content is about. There are also phrases
or terms users can enter into search engines
boxes to find your content. It works like this through ex
are similar match keywords. The search engine algorithms much user queries
with your content. Your posts as a content
creator or a business owner, you want the keywords used to be relevant to what people are searching for so they have a better chance of
finding your content. Your posts among all the
search engine results and keywords work both ways. They are as important for you as they are important
for your target audience, for your perfect followers. They are as much
about your audience, your target audience as
they're about your posts. And why is it so important? Look, you may describe what
you offer in your content, what you create in a
slightly different way than how your audience
actually searches for it. It creates the risk that they
won't find your content, even though they're looking
for what you create. Imagine I post
motivational quotes on my Instagram profile, but I use keywords. I will teach you how to grow, I will teach you how to
live your dream life, or I describe myself
as dream life chaser. And I use those a bit poetic, pointy terms to describe
what I'm doing. People may just type motivational quotes to find
content like post many times. Keywords are very
simple, they are short. Keywords may have 23 words. You may describe what you
are doing in such a long, broad way, and that's where
the difference may come from. To create content
that ranks well organically and drives new potential followers
to your content, You need to understand
the needs of your audience and the language, the words they use to find new content and the type of
content they are looking for. The smartest idea is to speak the same language as
your potential followers. You rank higher in the organic search results
based on relevance. To sum it up, a
keyword is a word or a phrase that matches
the words and phrases people are entering
into search engines by learning what keywords or phrases your target audience, your dream followers use when they search for new content
inspiration and advice. You can create and optimize
your post new people, those people can
easily find you. Is it true that on
Instagram keywords method the same way they do
for traditional SEO? As I've already told you, Instagram has changed recently. And yes, keywords
play such a big part now some users even add a bunch of keywords at
the end of the caption, just like this I've
shown you before, but I will show you once again. This method is beneficial
for many of my clients. It's worth it to test it out and track if it's
working for your niche, for you as well.
Why does it depend? And it's not working for all niches you
might want to ask. Well, different people,
different groups of people have totally different
Instagram behaviors. And only some of them actively look for new content and use
the Instagram search bar. It's not a set rule
for all niches, but most of the niches will really benefit from
using this method. Test it out. Here
comes my Protip. Optimize your post
and your captions by making sure each
of your caption includes at least
three strong keywords your potential
followers might be using to find
content like yours. For example, for my private
Instagram where my goal is to attract like minded people who dream of financial freedom. I use these keywords, financial independence,
financial well being, budgeting tips, creating
your dream life, manifesting your dreams,
designing your future. Building a dream line,
self motivation, goal setting, success habits, that's basically your new goal. Maximize your chances
of appearing on the Explore page by writing or optimized
Instagram captions. It's really worth it,
because as you already know, Instagram algorithms suggest
personalized content based on user interests
and interactions. The platform also uses keywords you put in your captions
to identify accounts that are topically
similar to each other to boost your visibility. Right captions with
relevant keywords inside that align
with your accounts, topics, and your niche. How to find good keywords
to add to your captions? That's a good question. Let's discussa.
9. Finding the Best Keywords - Keyword Research as a Smart and Quick Way to Boost Visibility: Finding the best keywords. Skewed research as a smart and quick way
to boost disability, keywords are the heart of SEO. Now we have to
take the next step of creating your
keyword strategy. It's skewed research. You need to decide which
keywords are worth it to include in new captions
and in your displaying. In other places
we'll discuss image. Determining which
keywords to use in content requires
cured research. It's an essential step and
Instagram SEO optimization, so we can skeep it, but it's definitely not as scary it as may
sound, so don't worry. First I will show
you how to find good cures for your
content and then we will discuss where exactly you can include them to
boost your visibility. The most first step
keyword research should always start with your own understanding of
what your Instagram is about. That's also the first task in the PDF I wanted
you to download. The beginning is understanding
the types of content you create and the words other people would use to
describe your content. To describe your profile, write down the primary topics you associate with your
Instagram profile. Start by thinking broadly, perhaps of the two
to six interests. On ease your content
brings to mind Pro. At this point, you can also gain inspiration by looking at your competitors profiles and talking to your
potential followers. You know people who are potentially in your
target audience. I know examples really
help. So here's one. If you run a profile that
motivates people to broaden their conversations and start a side hassle to help them live their dream life for instance. Then your topics could
be something like motivation impostor
syndrome, Freedom. These might not be
your exact keywords, but you can use these relevant
topics to come up with a two or three word phrases for each one that
represents your keywords. In this case, that could
be maintaining motivation, how to overcome
impostor syndrome, financial freedom also
that's really important. It's always smart to check what content can be found
under these keywords. That way you can make
sure that the post you share match the keyword, my tip. Type in these phrases
into Instagram search and analyze if the content seer is similar to what
you want to post. For example, the phrase financial freedom leads to results about saving, investing, and even spas, about
pyramid schemes, rather than learning
new skills and building smart site hostels. And this can be an
indication that we should shift our keywords
and change them a bit. For example, a keyword,
easy side hustles, may fit more closely with the actual content
we want to post. Here are the key takeaways. Write down the
primary topics you associate with your
instapram profile. You can also gain
inspiration by looking at your competitors profiles and talking to your
potential followers, people you know, who are potentially in your
target audience. Just to analyze what
keywords they use or would use to describe
content similar to yours, and it's really small
to check what content appears in the search under
the keywords you want to use. What if you have only
a very broad idea what you want to focus
on in your content, but you have actually no idea what your target audience
is actively looking for. What keywords may be
associated with your niche? What keywords are really worthy to include in your
content, in your profile. There is a way to find new keywords to include
in your content. Research shows that people on
Instagram also use keywords similar to those on Google when looking for new content
with the search bar. It's a really smart idea to analyze keywords
connected to your, associated with your topics. For Google to find out what
problems people interested in your niche face and what
topics interest them the most. And we can use free paid tools
to uncover these keywords. We will discuss a few methods. The first method,
enter your topic into the Google and find out what suggestions
Google gives you. These are the topics or questions people often
type into the search bar. For example, if I type in the
keyword easy site hassles, Google gives me
these suggestions. Easy site hustles from homes. And questions like these. How can I make an
extra $2,000 amount? What are easy site hassles
to earn extra income? These topics and
these questions gain a lot of attention and
a lot of traction. It's a smart idea to include
them in you post and maybe even on display name and other searchable
parts of Instagram. I will tell you which
these are in a second. The second method to
find new keywords, look for keywords,
suggestions on Tiktok. You may be surprised, but this method really works
for Instagram as well. These platforms
are a bit similar and Instagram is
working really hard to copy some of Tiktok's mechanisms because research shows that
Tiktok has a really good SEO. Told you more and more
people use Tiktok. Prefer to use Tiktok
or Instagram to find answers to their
questions instead of Google. That's why analyzing the topics and keywords that are popular on Tiktok is a wise way to make your content helpful for people
interested in your niche. Senior Vice President Paavan, who runs Google's
knowledge and information, says that something like almost 40% of young people when they are looking
for a place for lunch, they don't go to
Google Maps or search, they go to Tiktok. And it's really similar for
other practical purposes. So Tiktok can become
your gold mine of inspiration for topics and keywords that are appealing
to people in your niche. For example, when I type in the keyword easy side hassles
into the tiktok sedge bar. Here are the suggestions I get. As you can see, these
suggestions are really extremely helpful and it will be extremely smart to use them
in our content. Third method, analyze keywords with advanced
keyword sedge tools. As you already know,
many keywords popular on Google are also a smart
choice for Instagram. The third way to find
these keywords is to do keyword research with advanced
SEO tools like H Reps, S, Rush Mango Tools or Per
suggested by Neil Patel. These tools are paid, but some of them for
example mango tools and suggest offer a free trial. You can sign up for free
for this free trial, seven day free trial
from what I remember, and conduct research that way. And then decide if you
really need a paid version. Or you can also quit
your free trial and then come back to the paid
version after a while. Because the first
research may be really enough for some time to
give you an insight. Here is how the Q research
looks inside per suggest. Because that page
tool I currently use for that purpose is also the
most budget friendly one. And I find it really
good because it has many helpful features. I've been using all
these tools in the past and all of them are good.
It's actually up to you. But when it comes to other
suggests you can analyze what keywords people use and what keywords people are actively
looking for in Google. The third method, you can also use tools like Co
Haas tags that have a feature designed
specifically to give you Instagram keywords
associated with your topics. This topic, the Instagram
keywords growing strong. More and more Instagram tools recognizing the topic
as something that is really worth their
attention and they're developing new features inside their tools to help
you find new keywords. Ico hash text is one of them. The process is really simple. All you have to do is
type in your topic. The tool will give
you suggestions and ready to use keywords which you can include
in your content, in new captions or in
other secret places. Which we'll discuss in second, in a minute like I've
already promised you.
10. Where Should You Put Your Keywords? Where is it Worth it to Include Them?: Where should you
put your keywords? Where is it worth
it to include them? This is a very
important question. There are five places, five spots where keywords
can be extremely helpful and we'll discuss
them in this lesson. So stay with me. From my experiments,
from my experience, these five places are the key, and these are keywords
in your captions. Keywords in your display name, keywords in your bio, and keywords in all texts, and also that may surprise you. Keywords in the text, on your videos, on the reels. Why are they so important? And how to use these keywords? Let's all agree on that. Include keywords
in your captions. Now, keywords in the
caption play a huge role in how Instagram ranks content
in relevant search results. In the past, Instagram
users could only search in Instagram
Explorer using hash text, usernames, location
text, and profiles. Now, users can search
using keywords, which is a huge change, and that's why including them in your captions is
such a smart move. Using keywords in your caption allows the Instagram
algorithms to determine what your content
is about that you're posting, what your audience
is looking for. To give your post a of showing a high end search include relevant keywards
and your captions. Keywords that you think your target audience may
actively search for. Actually, there
are two approaches to including keywords
and your captions. The first method is this, keep your captions natural, Place the keywords in the sentence rather
than keyword stuffing. Here comes the second method. Place your keywords
in sentences, but also at two to ten
standalone keywards at the end of captions. Just like that, which
method is better? The results may be different
for different niches, so I will wait with
the verdict for now. For now, it's smart to
experiment with both methods. Use keywords in
your display name. Yes, it's also a very strategic
move to add keywords to your display name as it can make your profile much
more searchable. And stick to this
pattern, Your name, your full name, plus
your niche keywords. Just like this, these
keywords will help you get found when someone types in your niche keywords
in the search, and your profile will have a higher chance of appearing higher in
the search results. Here are a few examples
of profiles that use strategic keywords
in your display name. And they really do it the smart way we keywords in your bio, you think your niche
keywords in your bio also helps Instagram algorithms understand better what you do, what your profile is about. It also gets you on the suggested list of other
related niche accounts. That's really
important and that can help other people
discover your profile. Just like keywords in a, as alternative
text, it's used to describe the content
of an image or video. For users who may not be able
to see this image or video. This includes users who rely on screen readers or have low
bandwidth connections. But what's really important, Instagram search
engines also use all text to understand the subject matter of your
graphics of your post, which can help improve
your post as your ranking. Here is the tip from me. As you can easily guess, always add all
text to your post. It's really simple process and it should take
you a few seconds. Just follow this process. Click here and add a text. I promise it will be worth it. Add your search
keywords in the text, on your videos, on your reels. When you create a real, you can add text to the screen. Instagram algorithms
read this text and serve the user your content based
on any keys mentioned. I recommend adding keywords
into your text on screen, specifically within the
first seconds of the real. And also adding keywords in the on your reals
cover. Just like that.
11. Hashtags Still Work, but Only When Used the Strategic Way: Hashtag still work, but only when we use
the strategic way. Now you may want to ask, okay, now I know a
lot about keywords, about Instagram keywords,
and how to use them, But wait. What about hashtags? Should I still use them? Do they still work? Should I even bother
with hashtags at all? From my perspective,
for me and my clients, hashtags still work only when
chosen that strategic way. My Protip use low volume
keywords that don't have such huge competition
and they really can give your post
visibility boost. And how to find hashtags
that still work. Okay, the first thing we need to analyze
their search volume. For those of you who aren't
familiar with this term, search volume tells
you how many people are searching for a certain
phrase, certain keywords. You may also want to use third party apps to
analyze your hashtag better because it's
also beneficial to analyze their hashtag
potential reach. There are a few tools that let
you analyze these metrics. I use Cho hashtags because I know the soul from
the very start. I've been using this
tool on a daily basis for more than three years now, and it works for me and
my clients. Let's go. The process of
analyzing hashtags we want to use is really simple. First we look at hashtag
competitiveness. Hashtag competitiveness
lets you know how often a particular
hashtag is used, is under a creator's content
how competitive it is. A perfect hashtag has low competition score and
high potential reach, which means it can give
you high visibility. But at the same time, it isn't too popular. Because there is this huge risk with too popular hashtags that too many creators use them and too many creators use
them in their post. And when you post a new car result and
you real that hashtag, there is this risk that your post will
instantly disappear in the flood of other posts in
the hashtag explos section. And we don't want that. It's good to stick
to hashtags that don't have a high
competition score. For example, for a
keyword UGC creator suggested hashtags
look like this. As you can see, we can choose many hashtags that have a
medium competition score, which is more friendly
for accounts that we don't have 1
million followers. And the second metric we should focus on is
potentially rich. This is the second metric that
is really worth analyzing, and as I've already
told you here, we look for hash tags with medium or high
potential reach, as they have the
higher potential to give our content this
visibility boost we dream of. So for instance, these
free hash tags look good. It shouldn't be difficult
to rank high with them. So I would say there are
these strategic choices.
