1. Instagram Accelerator For Artists Trailer: what would happen if you are able to build a really community of art fans on Instagram People who are so supportive whenever you launch new art prints, new limited edition posters, new paintings, people who are inspired by you as an artist. How awesome would that be? My name is Melanie, and I have something that will enable you to do just that. The problem is a lot of artists and creatives air so awesome at creating art, but they're not really comfortable when it comes to actually marketing themselves on social media. And Instagram is no different. Artists don't know how to actually get new followers, and once they do get new followers, they're not really sure how to actually engage with them. I felt the exact same way I to him, an artist. I'm a graphic designer and illustrator, and when I first started posting on Instagram, I'd post randomly. Whenever I felt like it, I'd really low followers and barely any engagement, and it was so frustrating because I was working really hard to build my business. But then one day I really figure something out. I found out that there's actually an effective process for building art fans on Instagram. The more authentic my post became, the more I began to actually really connect with my real audience. Suddenly, building a falling became a lot easier than I ever imagined. Now, with these strategies, I actually continue to build my business in order to sell my art products as well as my courses to people all over the world. It's like Instagram has become a fun part of my business to really express myself and not just this big annoying chore that I had to do every day. And that's why I created Instagram Accelerator course because I am an artist and I love to help other artists. Let's hear from some of my other students, Masius says. Thanks. It's great pages cut this big thing into small pieces, so it's not as scary as it seems. It actually begins to feel manageable. Carolina says. Love this. I started my Etsy shop last month, and this has been so helpful I will take into account everything you've told me. Thank you so much. And lastly, Bren, she says, your class is exactly what I needed. I cannot wait to watch other classes and get started in a brand new inspiration. When you joined this chorus, I'm to teach you the best posting strategies for artists also teach you how likes and comments can build followers in a cool and non spammy way. I'm also gonna teach you a Facebook ad strategy that can promote your art on instagram how to take marketing photos to create a consistent tone and message for your brand. I'm also gonna teach you how to promote your post as well as had his pre schedule your posts in one sitting so that you're not spending every single day trying to figure out what to post on instagram and then eventually just giving up like we all do. I'm gonna teach you about tagging products so that you can actually have sales happening on each of your posts, as well as how to really engage with your audience and discover their behaviors. Like, for example, when are they even on Instagram? At what time of day are they most engaged? We need to know that kind of stuff. These instagram strategies have saved me so much time and stress. Plus, it's given me a platform as well as a system in order to get sales over and over and over again. And not only that, but to get exposure to people like licensing deals and wholesale deals. How would that help your our business? I could charge hundreds for this course, but I want to make it accessible for as many artists as possible. And so that is why the price is so good. Now, having said that, the price will go up. So I encourage you to buy now in orderto lock in this very low price. Like I said, I'm an artist helping artist. So I heard you to join the course, and I hope to see you in there. 2. Instagram Accelerator For Artists: welcome to the Instagram accelerator for artists and creatives in this video, I want to introduce you to the idea of working on Instagram as a professional business profile. So the first thing we're going to do is convert your personal instagram profile to a business profile. Now, I'm actually within Facebook right now showing you this because Facebook actually now owns instagram, and so they have actually set up a page just specifically about this. So if you want, always check this out, you can go to facebook dot com slash business slash help. Um and then this is actually one of the it's called instagram business tools. That's the tab that I'm on now. What you're gonna do first is you're gonna go to your, um, go to your profile and you're gonna click on the wheel tab. You're going to click on the tab. It says switched to business profile. You're gonna tap switch to business profile and select the Facebook page that you'd like to associate with your business profile. Now make sure that Facebook pages your business Facebook page. Okay, because you're obviously not promoting your personal Facebook page that's more of your personal space for you, your friends and family. This is more of a place on Facebook where you obviously are promoting your business. Now make sure your profile is said to public and on the set up for your business profile page, review your businesses, contact information and then tap done. Now it's important to do that, because when you set up a business profile page, there are some specific benefits to doing so and let me click over to one of the business features to show you what I mean. Now one of the main business up benefits of setting up on INSTAGRAM business profile is, ah, contact button now that didn't exist before on instagram and now exists with the business profiles, so you can now have the option of get directions, call or email so that people can actually contact you now. Those options were not even available before, and now they are. So when you switch to a business profile, whatever contact information you place on your profile will show up in a button form, so it will say contact or call or email or get directions. Those air going to be included on your button. Okay, so that's that's where that comes in handy. Okay, so you're gonna make sure to fill in those information. And the other thing is, too. Is that instagram? Now that you have a business profile, it's going to create instagram insights. Now what is instagram insights? Instagram insights are. It's basically when you do a post and you, ah, promote a post or you are doing some more engagement. Maybe you're doing instagram stories. It's where you get all the breakdown of how your instagram promotions went. So, for example, it says it's going to provide information on who your followers are when they're online and more. You can also view insights or specific posts and stories that you've created and see how each performed. And that's the most important word. There's how it performed and isn't engaging with your people with your potential customers . So as artists and visual artists and people that are like myself, I'm a graphic designer illustrator. I want to know is, are the post that I'm creating really generating the right kind of traffic? Is it the right people? Um, who are the people that are following and so on? What times a day are they more potentially on. When should I do my posts and so on. Now what I want to do is I watch you want to play a video for you here that's been prepared by both Instagram and Facebook collaborated to make this video and what they're doing is they're actually showing this step by step instructions. So I figured I'm gonna actually let them demonstrate for you because already set up. And I'm obviously doing this, of course, on my computer. And so showing you this on a phone is much more ideal because we obviously all live on our phone. This is the easiest way to show you this step by step instruction with an instagram business profile. It's easier than ever for people to discover your business and get in touch with you directly from the app To switch to a business profile, log into your businesses Public instagram account on a mobile device, busy your profile, tap the gear icon to access your account settings, then that switch to business profile top Continue to connect to Facebook Tap continue as to select the Facebook page you'd like to use if you don't see your business's Facebook page as an option, make sure that you're listed as an admin in the settings. Once the correct Facebook page appears, select it and tap. Next. You will need to add a phone number, physical address or email so customers can get in touch. Once everything looks correct. Tap done to save your instagram business profile and settings Now that your business profile is set up, your customers can contact you directly through your profile. You could also a few follower insights and promote your posts or within the app. Okay, so there you have it. That's the way to set up your instagram business profile. Now, once you have done that in the next video and I'm gonna start talking to you about how to create posts, the most effective types of posts and how to also ah, promote within instagram and build your our business 3. Instagram Profile and feed design: as welcome to this video in this video, I'm gonna talk to you about the basics of setting up your instagram profile page. Now, this is pretty obvious, but I want to go over it just to be basic and just straightforward with set up. No, first and foremost, your actual, um, instagram handle or your instagram Neymar profile name is going to need to include your business name. I know it sounds really obvious, but a lot of people don't do that. And they've got, like, a cute see little name, and they don't actually include their business in their name. So make sure that your instagram profile, uh, name is the same as your business. Okay, um, specifically, if you can have it the exact same as your u r l or your online shop than even better. Okay, the more places that you have, the same names show up online, the more easier you're going to be found. Okay. Now, secondly, your logo, as you can see, the instagram icon symbol or logo is basically it's a circle, but it's quite small. Now on your phone, it's going to appear quite small. If you look down your phone right now. Um, same thing You're gonna be able to notice that you're gonna want to make sure your logo is readable, even though it's small. So if you have any words like even my own, it's kind of like right at that place of borderline like it. If it goes any smaller, it may not be readable. So make sure that your logo is going to be readable. Now, on that note, make sure you actually have a logo that some people just want include their art piece or, ah, photo of themselves. I really encourage you to use an actual real logo, and the one that will fit within a circle shape is ideal. And the reason why is because over most social media is right now, including Instagram having a circle form of your logo. So maybe you have a general logo and they also have one within a circle, and that's going to really Ben, if you benefit you on this platform of instagram, okay, Now you're also going to need to obviously choose what what kind of ah ah, business. You are now some places, you know, depending on what you are, it's going to have different titles. Now for us as artists and creatives, we're pretty much going to fall under products service. So you're gonna need to have that underneath your title. And then again, you're gonna need to also start to think about your information here. Now, you don't have a ton of space to fit here, so you're gonna need to be very selective on how many characters you want to display here. But for me, it's basically about displaying exactly what you do. Um, and very short amount of words. But you want to get straight to the point here. Okay, So this is not a a great place to just ah, have cute sayings. It's much more about having actual slogan or an actual list of things that you you provide in your company. So for me is designed lettering illustration online our business training because that's those the things that I do. So it's as straight to the point is I could possibly be. If you really want, you can have a slogan and then just have your actual website. That's fine, too. But it's really up to you. I would just be very selective on what you put here. So obviously, if you have an art shop list your art shop, you may even want to make that. I mean, in my case, I'm actually using that. I'm writing it out here, but I'm also using as a link. Now you're a link can change depending on what kind of poster making. Sometimes if you make a post Ah, within your instagram page, you could say link in profile. And this is the link that can change. So that's why I've always kept my art shop listed here. Now, you may want to do that if you're selling some kind of a product. Now, if you are also selling a service, you may want to have a personal You are like I do here. I'd not only do products, but I offer design service, So I'm gonna list that as well. And this is the basic general information that you're gonna need on your instagram profile . Now there's a lot you can do within it. That's different depending on what you offer. But I want to give you a general snapshot of what the profile is going to look like. Now, this is obviously me log ins. That's why this promote is listed here. But obviously, you're gonna have your contact information right here. And some of you if you've had your address less than you could have it could say directions , um, and phone number to call our to call the actual business if you're, ah, brick and mortar location. So that's his basics of setting up your instagram profile page. Now, obviously, you need to edit. You're gonna click on edit profile. You could go in there and edit any of this information. I find sometimes if you want to set up any kind of emojis or lines or to design features within your slogan or within your right up, you can actually do that in the note pad. I find that easier because I find it's kind of let you when you're setting it up with an instagram. So that's just my experience. But if you want, you can add emotions in here. You can have little symbols and things that really work within your brand to really kind of get some more attention on that. But that's the general way that I would set up your instagram profile. Now, when you're setting up your actual instagram profile and your ongoing feed. Another thing you want to start thinking about is the overall tones that you're creating. Now. Here I am. I am I'm actually on my computer now showing you my profile and you'll notice that you'll see my logo is black and white. Now. My personal business brand is a very black and white brand, and so often times I want to showcase a lot of black and whites. But I don't want to make it all black and wait, cause then it would be a little bit too Ah, monochromatic in my feed. So you'll notice that even though I've got my black and white products, I often mingling other colors just kind of around it or included in the actual products shots or just within my feed photos mixed in with some actual black and whites. So, in other words, my overall like view when somebody views my overall feed, it's generally a lot of black in a way with little hints of colors. So for you, you may have really hot neon colors, or you may want really neutral kind of brown's and neutral tones, so you may want to think about your overall feed and how that works together. So in other words, like as you can see here, I've got black and white are about little hints of color around it, about black and white art on my walls, and I've got hints of color around that. So the same thing. You kind of see that a lot in a lot of my posts. And I do that intentionally because I want my branding to work together with my feet. So it's all kind of goes back to your overall branding. Um, so when somebody clicks on each post, for the most part, they're going to get a lot of the same overall tones, like I've looked at, even, say, blogger posts or on other people that I follow and the same thing. You'll often see an overall tone over the entire, um, feed. So it's not just about each post. It's about how do they look together? So you may want to begin to think about that. How do your posts and your images that you're posting or leaving to video cover photos? How do they work in unison together when somebody looks at your overall feed. This is all part of your overall branding and building your business online and your niche so that people can recognize you and your style from anywhere online. Now, while I'm on the topic of actually setting up your profile and how your profile reads, I really want to just show you a couple quick examples of other people's there, how their profile reads and just to kind of show you how that operates. So here is paper cub. They're showcasing its a local business. She just says design screen printing, paper goods by. And then she put her own, Um, look at her personal name. So if you want to do that to also link people to your personal name, you could do that. Just the name of her business. And then she just says for email with a little hard, this kind, like a email symbol. And then she's got her email there. And then she's also got her website where people can click on there and as well as her location. Okay, now instead of for her. People could save me that maybe either email or they could say contact, but she has directions. There is, in other words, had actually get to her location. So that's the contract form that she has in place for her instagram feed. Okay, now I want to click over and just show you how her feed looks. Now when I click in to see her feed, this is the way her feet looks. So as I was mentioning before, you know, you wanna have your overall fi looking at all kind of works together. So I think she does a beautiful job. Actually, she has a lot of high contrast images. She's got a bit of pops of color here and there. But, as you can tell, she's focusing on her products in a variety of different ways. So in some ways it's very like a clean product shot you consume into that. There's a very clean product shot here and here, but then she's got some kind of like fun, like just off the cuff shots as well that are not as planned. They look a bit more like casual, like she's got some candles shot here. She's showing you her packaging of how she packages her products, showing you her stamp here beside her products and she's been shown a collage of a variety of different cards she offers and so on. So it's kind like she's making, mixing and mingling in different kinds of shots. And then here's a shot of like the drawer she uses, where she has her stamps. She's got her tape that she uses on her packaging and so on. So it's all kind of working together, though. And then here she's got a post that's more of an actual promotional post. It looks like it's got actual like our words on there like screen printed goods. It looks like more of a designed post, so she mixes that and as well. So I love the way she's mixing everything together to have a really clean feed, and it all looks like her brand. Another company that I follow that I really love is the Rifle Paper Co. And they have their own style, and I feel like I don't have the same style is them, But I definitely admire their way of presenting themselves as a brand. Now they've got gigantic following, so it makes a ton of sense because the way they're presenting themselves is really great. They got their name. They got a beautiful logo up top. They've got the product service. They've got rifle paper, co stationary lifestyle brand studio updates and behind the scenes fall are co founder and creator of director. And then about the creative director is actually at her personal instagram, and then they've got their website right there. So it's kind of all talking about holiday right now. Is there kind of encouraging you to check out their holiday products? So now I want to click over and show you how it looks on, um, their actual feed. So this is how the rifle paper feed looks. And again, you can tell that they've just really spent time to present their feet in a way that really works with their brand. They use a lot of good wash paint, and so they're really focusing on the idea of tactile textures they have. You know, some shots are actually being held. Our products being held here, they've got a video here. Then they've got a close up of, you know, stickers that they've got a beautiful product shot here on you. Zoom in a bit more. So as you can see, they've really thought it through, and it looks as though almost every let's say, four or five posts. They've got a beautiful product shot. Okay, then they have mixed in some other kind of interesting items that are kind of off the beaten path that are not the traditional post. So it keeps things interesting. And then they come back again to another product shot. So again they're always coming back to their beautiful product photos. But then they're showing inspiration, this showing other things that they're working on, their coming up there showing behind the scenes. So, as you can see, if you create your own pattern, you can actually create a beautiful feed that looks like a nice grid shots that actually all work together Now here they are on Halloween, kind of being funny, But again, it's It's the whole idea of creating a storyline. Okay, on your instagram feed, that's always about communicating, because you remember that your feet is how people perceive you at a glance. Not everyone's gonna look at every single shot in your instagram account. They might just scan your overall feed and take a look that way. Okay, so you never know how people will look at it. But overall, you wanna always be selling the theme and the overall vibe of your brand as faras colors as far as the different types of posts and how they'll in track together. So this is now how you would kind of this is a great example of how you would do that. This is the rifle paper Co 4. Three Types of Posts: There are three types of post with an instagram of all three. The 1st 1 is one of the more newer forms, and that is instagram stories. Instagram stories is where you can actually create videos on the fly and actually post them , and they will stay out for a short amount of time. But they create high engagement because they create a notification to all your followers at the top of their feed so that they know that you have just created a instagram story on the next video. I'm gonna go into how to create that and how Teoh do a live one and how to basically be effective with creating instagram stories. Instant stories is a great way to communicate with your potential customers and followers on an ongoing basis throughout your day. So instead of having just your actual post feed, instant stories is on ongoing a feed of either images or videos that carry on come like a slide show that enable people to kind of see what you're up to throughout the day, even if it's just fun videos, maybe behind the scenes. Maybe you're showcasing some of your process. If you're announcing something special that's coming out or an event that you're going to be at. Or maybe you're just showcasing something you're inspired by. And the whole point of insist story is that it's not, um, fully going toe last so that the beauty of it is This story is that you can post something today and then by tomorrow within 24 hours, it's no longer in the insist stories. Feats at the top here of Instagram these air where the insist Roy's are for those of you have never seen this before, used before. Many of you priority have. But this is where you're going to get started. So you're gonna actually click on the top left corner, which is the plus sign. Or you can just click on your own photo that says, you're a story beside it and you can go ahead and get started by create and create your own , Um, insist story you can press on. There's gonna be a center button, which I'll show you the next slide we can click on, and then you can get started. Either doing a video are doing a boomerang or doing a natural photo post. You can add text to it. You can add emotions to it and so forth. And there's lots and of different things and fun like faces and stuff you can add on there throughout your day as well. Um, which I'm not really gonna go into other kind of accessories, which is great, but those air on constantly changing. So, um, for the sake of this, of course, I just want to talk to you briefly about the whole overall point of insist stories, which is to really connect your customer because you don't want to get carried away with this and then end up just like having, like puppy dog faces and silly stuff like that. Nothing wrong with those things. They're great if they have, like, a purpose with your audience. But if they're just for the sake of having fun that aren't really connecting to anybody, then it's kind of just more of a personal thing. But on your business profile, you want to do post, they're going to connect to your customers, right? Connect your potential customers. So that's what I want to talk to you about here. Once you select the top left hand plus sign button on your home page or if you actually click on your ah circle button that says the top left corner says you're a story on it and it's gonna have either your you logo or your image in that in that circle. What it's gonna do is it's gonna open up to an image that's gonna look kind of like this. Obviously, you're not gonna have a cat in it because this is somebody else's reference from online. But you're gonna have the option to either take a photo by clicking once on this circular button here, or you can press down and hold and create a video. Now, this, um, this little ah two arrows here. It's the same as what you have on your camera when you're taking photos so you can actually have it being a rear facing camera towards yourself or have it, you know, pointing outwards towards whatever it is you're looking at now, in this case that there is a cat. Obviously, I don't know if this is gonna be relative to those of us who are artists and creatives, but here's what I had as a reference online. So I want to find an image that could show me this screen. OK, now here, over here is the option of having a flash or not to get to turn that on or not. Now, keep in mind when you're pressing down and holding. If you want to create a video, what's going to happen is, is red kind of ring is going to go around. It's almost like a kind of a rainbow rain that goes around, and that's going to let you know that you have 10 seconds kind, like a countdown ring, so that you know how long each clips going to be. So when you're done, there's gonna be an option. It's gonna come up that's going to say to You can click the plus sign to add it to your actual story. And then what will happen is it will come. It will show up in your story. It will be like an added clip, a clip, photo or a slideshow or video to your actual story. So that's the way you do that. You can add, um, different colors. You can add emojis to it. There's lots of options. There's little buttons you click on to add more things like up here is options of adding like either funny, like added icons or, ah, words. If you want to type something if you want to actually draw, you can actually use markers and paint brushes and so forth. They're always adding more fun, integrated kind of icons on and an injury sort of like Snapchat. But they've kind of taken it to another level by adding, you could have a little puppy errors and so forth, Um, to add some funny like, you know, expression to what you're saying. But again, I would keep it like relative right, like to your audience. You don't wanna go crazy with all the emoticons and all these different things to the point that it's actually not even relative. You want to go crazy with it, and maybe you do, though depend on your audience, so I will leave that up to you. But have fun with it if this is definitely an expressive form of communication with your customers and potential clients and so forth. So whoever it is you're trying to reach, you always want to keep your audience in mind. So maybe if your audience is young moms, you may wanna have fun sayings and different things that would relate to young moms. Um, maybe it's, you know, um, you know, other different demographic. You want to really think about who it is you're trying to reach, And how will this insist story? Connect to them? Ultimately, that's the point. It's not only about self expression, Okay, so you want to always be keeping in mind your end user and your you know, your potential customers because we're trying to as artists get an income. So it's not just about creating fun videos in insta stories. It's definitely always going back to the bottom line, which is to create sales, right? So you want to get people to be interested in us and our lifestyle what we're offering and really be following us as artists. So maybe this is an artist who is kind of showing part of her world, which may and may not involve a cat. But you get the idea you want to kind of use these 24 hour instant stories because they obviously they expire after 24 hours. They're not forever. They don't stay on your feet the way a photo would or video would. But an inside story is only going to stay up for 24 hours. So that's a great thing, because then that were not kind of spamming your own feed with a whole bunch of random things. The randomness and the kind of crazy alive, um, experiences and so forth can happen on your ends. The story. Which brings me to the point that you can also do insist story live, so insist Ori lives and their options you can use as well. If you want to do a live announcement, maybe you want to say, Hey, everyone, I've launched my new product line. It's now live, and you can actually do a little bit alive Experience on Instagram. You can do that as well. That's a great way to connect your audience when you have a live video, um, up in the feed, you have kind of like a little actually say that you're alive for all your all your followers. So again, that's a great way to get attention to, say, launch or a special event that you're hosting or so forth a special thing that you want to draw more attention to the live in son story is probably the best form of getting everyone's attention. Now, I just want to encourage you to go ahead now and try this. Try the inside stories you've never tried it. Have fun with it would be. Try a couple, you know, if you end up deleting them just so that you can get your feet wet and get used to the whole process and use insta stories to help build your online our business. The second form of posts that I would like to talk to you about is video posts. Now, video posts are really effective as well. You can actually do a video post from your phone with a video that you have on your phone. So I'm gonna go down and show you one of the post that I've done recently. Ah, Video. This is what I was doing. A launch of a new, um, course that I had created. So I created a video to promote this post. Now our this new course, let me just post our play it. My name is Melanie Greenwood. So, as you can see, just pause that now. So now, as you can see, I created an actual post in here, and that was really effective for me cause I was promoting something. So I find, if you're, say, promoting, um, a post or you're promoting something that has to do with your business. So you're launching a product. You're having an event. Um, you are doing something to launch something that is new. Maybe you're offering a brand new service in your business. This is a great way to get attention because people generally want to click on something that has that little play button, right, that little play sign. People want to click on that so I would encourage you to tribe videos. It's super easy. It's the same way as doing a post with a photo accepted to video. And make sure that when you do a video post, you select a good front photo. Don't just use the first frame of your video because it may or may not work. It may not be a very exciting image, so select it's going to give you an option to select your front cover photo of your video in Instagram. So makes you select something that's going to be exciting for the viewer so that they want to click on it, make it something that's curious and exciting. Like, for example, if I go back down to my example here, Okay, if I go here, it's a video and it's gotta play button so people want to click on it. But it's got a shot of myself holding art prints of people know there's something coming or this something exciting. It was video, and it makes them want to click on it. So this is a really important thing to note about videos now videos they get. The views are different than like, so you're gonna have to just kind of hover over it to see how many views you get. But this is a great way to integrate. Gets an engagement with your online followers with an instagram as an exciting post. And last but not least, the third type of post I'd like to talk to you about is photo posts. Now this is definitely by far the most traditional type of post on instagram, and there's a variety of ways you can be engaging within your photo posts. Now, what kind of post can you do when it comes to doing photography posts you can do a bit of everything. So, for example, you can post your progress. So say you're working on a project and you are posting a progress photo. That's another. That's a great way to get engagement because people like to see behind the scenes. Okay, you can post a new product that you're launching. Maybe you're launching a brand new card or art piece you can post if you're getting into a brand new store like myself. I just post. I got into this brand new store in Toronto, so I posted about it. People like to see these kind of updates. People also love to see behind the scenes, so they love to see where do you work? This is actually my studio. This the wall to gallery? Well, right behind my desk. So I love to post actual shots from my studio. Um, I wrote here late night prepping for a big week of design, teaching and course building. So people like that. That was a really good post I did there. Um, people like to know where you live. So what city are you? And I did a fund post that was kind of a break it up post, But it was showing where I live. I live in Toronto, and so I love just kind of representing and say, I love Toronto. People really like that kind of stuff. Okay, so maybe do some local love, you know, showcase your hometown. People love to see how you package your your art supplies or your products to say you're sending out a shipment. How does it look before it gets sent? Um, I also like to show my process of product packaging. So this is me saying, Ah, fresh prince orders Raider ship. So that's a nice way of doing a post is Well, unless people behind the curtain to know how you run your business, I even sometimes post my messes. Now, that sounds funny, but a lot of people like to see artist messes. They like to see our messy hands. Say, if you're a painter or illustrator, they want to see your supplies. They want to see what you use for me. I'm showcasing how I actually packaged my products and art tubes. This is me, actually creating a typical behind the scenes shot. I even say a typical behind the scenes look at packaging my art prints for shipment. This is kind of funny. It's kind, like a fun post, even though it's a bit of a mess. People like to see art messes when it comes to artists. Okay, um, they like to see you as well. So say you are the artists. Everyone's No, I'll put yourself in there and say hello. Um, so in this case I was joining an INSTAGRAM challenged And so I actually said hello to all my new followers here. I said, I'm joining this challenge and I want to introduce myself. So every once in a while I do that as well. I introduced myself especially. I notice I'm getting a lot of new of new followers and of course, it's very important to post beautiful product photos. Okay, I'm gonna go into this in a little while, but actually doing beautiful product photography and marketing photo shoots is very important as well. So when I encourage you to from here, um, every once in a while to post an actual product photo so that it gets a beautiful coming, a product hero shot, as you could say, that's a great thing to post a swell. Now, as funny as it sounds, I also from time to times like to post things that are just inspiring to me that are nothing to do with my own brand. Maybe it's just somebody else. I really I'm inspired by. In this case, it was a hand letter, um, name and Steven, Steven Cohen's and he is a hand lettered who does incredible work. So I just posted ah, saying that really appreciated about him So it doesn't have to be all of your own art itself. Um, let me just see what else hear. Details are also a great thing to post when it comes to art and creative posts. Having a detail up close and personal shot is a great thing to post for your followers as well. And these are just some ideas. I'm gonna have these also on my worksheet as well, so you can refer to but having again great promotional marketing photos. Even if you're in them, holding your art is a great thing. This is a great way. I want Owen idea. You can also use within your photo shoot, which I'll get into later and every once in a while, I will post something that is kind of more personal, just for fun, but not too much. It's just kind of scattered here and there. Let me just see what else that I posted. Okay, here I am, in my here's behind the scenes shot of me as I'm actually doing kind of like a video. So I was kind of just talking about how the day went there. You're kind of like letting people in behind the scenes of your life, you know? And so it's okay to post something kind of silly and fun. Everyone so well, because as an artist, you're not just talking about your art, but you're talking about your own life. You're kind of letting people behind the curtain to see that you're a real person. So here I am being kind of silly, but it was actually a fun posting. Um, I got a good response on it. 124 likes just on this funny photo, but that's a great way to just get kind of engagement, Um, on that as well, So that there's just some ideas of ways to, um to get post for your photos. So I hope that gave you some inspiration. But ultimately you can really create your own pattern as well. Some people create, like every third or fourth post is the same or as far as what type of a post it is. I find odd numbers work Well, if you are going to do it, actual grid patterns of say it's every fifth post is a product photo or every seventh post is a product photo. Um, and then maybe every third or fourth is a behind the scenes and so forth, so you could actually create your own pattern In that way, if you want, I find it works well. Say, if you do like once a week, like every Monday I post, um, maybe my behind the scenes Every Tuesday, I posed a, um, product photo. Every Wednesday, I pro I post a photo of a store that I'm featured in and so forth so you can actually create your own pattern. And I find that that works well overall to create sort of consistency so that you're at least posting one post per day. Now, in other sections of this course, I'm gonna go into timing and scheduling but I want to give you some ideas as far as the three most effective types of post, but also some ideas of what to post within those areas. 5. Marketing Photo Shoots: when it comes to the actual images that you post on Instagram. Just remember, Instagram is definitely one of the most visual of all social media's. So every time you post an image, really ask yourself, Is this an image that I think will actually stop people in their tracks while they're scrolling? Is this something that will make people actually wonder a bit more about my company in a good way? Will it make them stop and actually look and even read the caption that I've written? So these kind of things you want to think about when you are posting imagery now? Yes, you can post images like this one that, for example, I just posted or I took a photo off my own hand holding something. This is kind of a casual on the go post, very easy to dio I just made into black and white, and I posted it, and that's fine. But you may even want to actually do actual photo shoots with your art. Now here's an example of a photo Ah, shoot that a friend of mine did together. Relax. She went down to a really cool location down near the beach in California, and I took some my prints down there and we found these really cool caves down at Corona Del Mar, and I had fun with it. And then guess what? We had somebody walking in the shot that just happened to be walking by A by standard. But you know what? It was fun. It was a fun day of shooting. But I ended getting a whole bunch of really great shots. You may want to take a friend or your husband or your wife or whoever move you with you. Ah, your bestie. Whoever doesn't have to be an actual trained photographer, it could be somebody with their iPhone or you have somebody who has the usage and the ability to use a high quality SLR. You may want to try that as well and just go out one day and take some great shots and be on location. Maybe you're in a studio. Maybe you're in your studio. Maybe you are in, you know, an outdoor spot that you really love out in nature, something that really resonates with the brand that you're building and just take some fund shots like this one. Now, this is not even really as much about the print as it is about the overall ambience. This is about the overall branding and kind of like the vibe of what I was trying to say at the time. This is the kind of shots that do make people stop and wonder when they're looking at your instagram feed so that they can even then take a look to read what you've written in your caption. And by the way, your caption is something that could be written that could really sound like your voice. So you never want to sound sales. You know, you find some great shot on Instagram. You look down there, somebody, all they're doing is selling. It's kind of a bit of a turn off. Instagram is so social that you want to sound like you're you're starting in the middle of a sentence, Um, as if you've already known the person for while you're having a cup of coffee with them and it's mitt conversational. I find those the kind of captions that work best. Now, here, again is another great example of just taking a photo with my hands, and I had I think I had my husband take this shot. And this is a really great post because ah, lot of people gave me some really great feedback and engagement. Engagement is, if every really no marketing term. That just basically means people are reacting there, commenting their liking, and they're sharing the image. So you want people to be doing all three things. You want people to be making comments liking as well as sharing your feet. So this is a great way to do so. So that is casual shots like this could work really well and sometimes just having some really great product shots like this. So product photography actual mixing in your clean. You know, hero product photos like this one can really be a great way to stop people in the tracks as well. I find if the entire feed it looks like this, it could be a bit boring. Right? So you don't only want straight on perfect photos of your artwork. Ah, that you were selling or you are offering to your clients. You definitely want to have these, you know, pop in here and there. Put your feet. But you want it to be mixed in with other things like, say, process photos or behind the scenes shots or shots of your, um, studio space or shots of you maybe grabbing a cup of coffee because you're running late because you had a late night working on creative work. You know, having these kind of images that tell us about you and about your overall lifestyle and story. As an artist, I also want to encourage you to not be too shy to actually get in front of camera yourself . People love to see the artist behind the art. So in photos like this one, it's a lot of fun. Just have fun with it. You know, you could be Alino leaning against a wall that's got a whole bunch of your art behind it are behind you on the wall. I see people do this that or say muralists. They do this very well, or maybe you've got a gallery wall in your studio and it's featuring a bunch of your art pieces. Then get yourself involved. People want to see you, so don't be afraid to kind of introduce yourself on Instagram by showing your face. It's OK now. Here I am, kind of hiding behind with my prints, But this kind of gives you an idea of what I mean. You can do this and just kind of show yourself and be like, Hey, here I am. This is who I am. Tell my new followers on Instagram My name's Melanie and this is what I make you know, People like introductions. A lot of times you're going to be having new people following you all the time. So every once in a while, maybe even once a month put in an introduction post like this. And then that way people can see you that you're a really human being. You're not just a company now, like I said, it might be, you know, a way of showing yourself, but hey, sometimes showing having you kind of hiding behind your print. So your art is kind of fun to I find photos like this, they added it a mystery and interest to your fetus. Well, again, this is me and a friend just going out for a day and taking photos, just having a lot of fun with it, Um, and really creating just great images of your art, whether they are you actually holding them or whether you are actually showing your art on table or in process. Maybe you are showing kind of like a multiple posts. And now, nowadays, on Instagram, you can actually have one post that features multiple images. She could always do that and show your progress show like Step 1234 and so forth, just to kind of give them the actual process that you go through. That might be a really great way to allow people behind the curtain into your mind. Is an artist while you're creating here again is another option as well just the idea of kind like mystery, like having somebody You're not really seeing them, but you know, it's a real person. This could be fun as well. And here is another example. Where are friends of mine? Went out to another location and just made great images. I think making actual marketing photos and marking photo shoots could be such a fun thing. Even if you do this every once in a while, maybe every couple months when you have a new art pieces that you want toe, so especially if you're selling our products where you create one product. You sell it multiple times. Like for me. I create art prints. So if I'm selling, you know, I create one art print. I resell this copies of this on recycled papers over and over again. So for me, I need to create marketing images to keep selling the same items. Right? So it's important for me to always keep the images fresh and interesting, And so does things like this could just kind of send messages of what you're really about. In this case, this this whole Siris was really about the ocean and rock and the idea of, like, land meeting the ocean. And just that was the inspiration inspired texture behind my whole collection. So this really made sense for me at the time. Um, but maybe in your case, it wouldn't make sense. So just find what works for you to really generate your own messages with your art and have fun with it. But most of all in this section, I really want to just talk to you about the concept of creating marketing photos, not just photos on the fly, but actual intentional photos, Photos on the fly or great to as you're creating and maybe you're doing your instagram stories and so forth. But sometimes you need to actually take the time to set aside an afternoon and go out and create marketing. Photos like this is not talked about very often within the art kind of product world. But I feel like it's so necessary you can create beautiful catalogues. Maybe if you want to get into wholesale, this is extremely important. You want to create even like a look book kind of thing. I've created those in the past. They work really well to sell my cards or my art prints, so this could be a really great way to generate that and to build images. And then you can also have your product shots in your cat look, but these air kind of like a great way to have a cover shot or something along those lines . So again, just to get your eye your wheels turning, think about ways that you can actually ah, generate really beautiful marketing photos. Maybe you and a friend or you, and like even your mother or your father, your sister, whoever anyone who just grab a hold of a camera and just get some really fun shots of you may be holding your art or even just have your shots out in nature, or maybe putting them in a different kind of situation than maybe they would normally be just something to create. Interest is the point because there's so many artists out there, but you are different, so make sure that you stand out and showcase how you are different as an artist on your instagram posts. 6. Like and Comment Strategy: one of the ways to grow your numbers on Instagram is to do what is called a like strategy. I've heard of this spoken of before, and I've done it myself as well. And it really does work. The way that you do a like strategy is you search for hashtags that have to do with the items that you offer. So in my case, I could say art prints. Okay, now I found a hash tag. 269,000 893 posts something click on that. Okay. And I'm gonna go through. I'm gonna like different art prints. So I'm gonna go ahead and click on this, and I'm in it. Click, like you're gonna obviously do this on your phones is not gonna be so slow. Pace is what I'm doing now. Mind you, there's all kinds of crazy stuff on here. So beware of random, weird stuff, but you get the idea, so save you. You know, you like something that's similar to yourself. Maybe if it's something that's kind of relative to what it is you're offering. Okay. So in my case, I do black and white. So maybe I'm gonna like things that are also black and white. Now, why do I do this? The reason why I do this strategy is because if I'm liking things than especially things that don't have a huge number, like, for example, um, this post only has 12 likes now. Okay, I take it off, it has 11. So I have 12 likes. The reason why I'm doing this strategy is because I want other people like this person in particular, for example, to realize that I exist. Okay, first of all, and to also be curious about who is this person liking me then what they do is they come back and they not only either, like your own stuff, but they actually begin to follow. Especially if you post if you like on things that are relative to what you dio, then often times you're gonna find that you gain followers this way. This is one of the many ways, Okay, so let's go up the top here. So let's look up greeting cards just to see what other kind of cards there are out there. And I could then like some of the cars that I find and this is a great way to just develop relationships to be social. Now this one has 3000 likes on it. So I could like that. But the chance of me being found on that is a bit more difficulty. However, say, for example, you find a company that's getting a really high, like I could also comment here, so liking and commenting can work together. So I could just say awesome cards, you know, whatever and make a comment there. And then that could be a way that I just show up within the feet in the conversation. This is away from my own company to be discovered. Okay, the whole point of this liking strategy is something to do. This could be mindless. Like while you're like watching a show or while you're waiting for the bus or doing something like that, Um, where you're kind of in a waiting. You're waiting in line up at the bank. Okay, like you could do this anywhere, and it's kind of chill and mindless. You can do this, but it's going to be a way to grow your business. So again, I've got this person's about 592 likes, which is awesome. So, yeah, I could like it, but, um, if I had a comment, I'm gonna be more visible. Okay? I could just say beautiful and out of comment to this. And now my common is gonna show up on this feed, so it's just adding, and adding to the conversation is already happening. Then that way, people gonna discover me because my name is showing up in more places. So if you if you do the liking alone, you want the numbers to be kind of low. If you're gonna like alone, because you want to be one of maybe 10 or 20 you don't want the one of 593. Okay, if you get my drift. So you don't want to be lost in that many numbers, Okay? But if it's if somebody has a low like number, like, say, for example, let me find one for you. Like this person, Okay? They've got no likes, and they've got a great art piece here, so let's say I want to have this girl follow me, okay? Be the first to like, so I'm gonna like this. So guess what if I like this Now this person is probably going to find, um, you know, follow me or look back and say, Well, this girl liked my stuff. That's nice. And if I go to her profile, I guarantee you she's played, doesn't have many followers. And so it's It's interesting to note that when you like on things that don't have a huge following, that's also a way to gain new followers because you're kind of showing love to people who are just starting out right? So when you kind of, you know, like something than oftentimes they will either like back or start to follow back. Um, like if I go to this one, it's got no, like something to be the first to like it. So this person is probably going to go. Oh, that's cool. They like my stuff. Who are they? OK, so as you can see, this is the strategy. This is a way to just gain more likes for your business on Instagram and this works okay, You could even have a friend do this free. If you have a really busy business and you have time, you could have a relative. Your mom could do this I mean, anyone could do this. It's so easy. Um, gosh, even your kids could do this. Okay, so you have a nine year old who's really handy only on Instagram, and, um, obviously you may want to hang out with them while they're doing this to make sure there's nothing weird coming up on the screen. Right. But you could have your kids help you out, save your mom, and you've got a couple of kids, even teenagers, that probably teenagers might be a bit more appropriate, just in case There's any strange things that pop up because of his social media, right? But you get my idea. You can have your family and friends just kind of help. Yo, you can all hang out one day, and all that they would have to do is to have your log in into your instagram, to be able to help you out and to get more likes for you. So I want encourage you to try this out. And this is one way to gain more Anomaly likes but followers on your instagram account 7. Promote A Post: So you've created a great post on instagram and you want to go ahead and promote that post . Now, one of the reasons you may want to promote that post is if you're offering a service or product that you want to promote and you have a way of actually drawing people to something to either by or either to have them hire you or a product by. Okay, So let's say you want to do that. You have a post that you really have notice is doing really well. A lot of engagement and you want to promote it even more. What you're gonna do is as follows. You're going to number one. You have to be your your instagram profile must be converted to business. Okay, So as we've talked about ready, you must also be the admin on the Facebook page connected to your instagram account. Now, remember, Facebook owns Instagram. So for that reason, the Facebook admin is what actually runs the promotion strategies within instagram case or not, not everybody knows that, and that's important to know. So, like, advertising on Instagram happens through Facebook, and promotion does as well in a way. Okay, so What you're gonna do is make sure that your Facebook page for your business this is not for personal, but for your business is connected to Instagram. Okay, Now what you do is you're going to go to your profile. You're gonna select the post that you like to promote by tapping on the promote button. There's a promote button on the lower right hand side of the actual, but I'm gonna play a demo video for you in a minute, just so you could see exactly I'm talking about you're gonna tap promote. You're gonna fill in the details of your promotion by setting things like the audience. In other words, who you're gonna reach the budget, How much you want to spend in the duration? How long do you want your promotion to run? The next. Once you've completed these details, you're gonna simply click on promote button, and then that's it. You're gonna be protein that ad for the amount of time that you've allotted, as well as the amount that you a lot of it's as simple as that. So the only real tricky kind of annoying part is if you're not set up is a business profile Or if you are not the admin on your own Facebook page. So if you're not the admin that you have to actually be asked to be added as an admin. So if you're not the adamant on your Facebook page, you cannot make any edits, obviously. So if you're not, then just ask the person who is to add you to be an admin. Um and then that way you be able to go ahead. So once again, business profile, you have to be the admin on Facebook page. You select the actual post, um, you click on promote underneath the underneath your post, and then you're gonna fill in the details audience budget and duration and hit promote, and then you're done. But just because I want to be thorough, I'm also going to show you this quick video that has been created for us by Facebook that just in case you have any further questions ill make sure to make it really clear for you. One thing that I didn't mention earlier as well was to actually select what kind of call to action you want. So is it going to be a sign up called action? Or is it going to be a by now or ah, visit shop or whatever it might be, you're going to create your own call to action or, in other words, your button word wording. Okay, so that is something to consider as well as what you want people to do. Do you want them to go to your website or do you want them to come visit your shop or do you want them to call you? What are the actions that you're asking them to take? So again, I'd watch that video one more time if you want, or a couple times just to get the real hang on it hang of it. So it's really pretty simple, easy and straightforward to use for us artists and creatives who are promoting our online are prints. 8. Schedule Posts: Hey, creatives and artists. I wanted to do a quick video within this course and really talk to you about the idea of pre scheduling your posts. OK, now, in this case, with an INSTAGRAM sometimes working on post and creating them and right in the right, you know, comments or captions and creating the right photos and really getting all organized day to day can actually become pretty much of a full time job. Now, if you're like me, you don't have all that time. I I definitely don't feel like I have all the time that I want to create the most perfect posts and the the best grid form and all that kind of stuff when it comes Instagram. And so I've discovered was called Hoot Suite. So want to introduce you guys to this, in case you have are not familiar with it And who sweets actually at management platform for social media, including instagram. Now there are other management platforms for social media is like meet Edgar, a couple others, but not all of them include Instagram for some reason. So this one does, because I wanted to talk about this because this could be a great way to pre schedule your posts on Instagram. Ah, whereas in on other social media is sometimes like within say, for example, Facebook. Facebook allows you to pre scheduled posts within Facebook. But on social media is like instagram They may not. Yet that may change in the near future. Who knows? But as of right now, Instagram requires an external company or ah, platform like like hoot suite, for example to actually help you pre schedule. So I want to kind of introduce you to that. Now, keep in mind, I'm not in any way being paid by Hoot suite. I'm just a regular user just like you guys. But I want to introduce you artists creatives out there to this so that you can spend the majority of the time being creative. Ride them, you know, figuring out what kind of post you wanted to day today. All right, so let me just go down this page and give you a quick intro to this. So it says it's the best way to manage social media, manage multiple social networks, connect your customers and grow your brand on social media. Now I love how they have a free trial. So, um, I'm actually going to click through this in a minute and give you a demo. Now, here's what I love about this, uh, hoot suite platform. It actually connects multiple social networks. So you've got Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, google, and so on. And these are all kind of interactive. You can also use different APs within, um, hoot suite as well. So it kind of is a great platform because it connects them so you can actually post to multiple platforms around the same time. Okay, so, um, it's really a time saver. Overall, how hoot suite saves you time, manage from one space reply with a single click track performance and grow your audience. All right, then you can actually look at who tweets features at a glance scheduling engagement with customers. Um, analytics, which is great. You can see how those posts are doing. That's what analytics means. Collaboration. Maybe if you're working on a team that's really convenient security and listening to track your brand, what customers are saying about you and your competition. So they're just saying over here that there's millions of users and the world's top brands that are already using Hoot suite, including these brands here, Which is great. Okay, who tweet has the right solution for everyone. So it gives you a variety of different options, which I'll go down to show you right here. So it gives you an enterprise contact for pricing. This is like a custom situation. So if you're somebody who needs a special situation like you know, you're working in ah, large team or department in region, like more of a larger company. For those of you who are on this course, you're probably like myself. You're probably either a freelance designer, illustrator or artist of some kind. Or maybe you are somebody who is a non artist or creative who is launching your own art products. And so if you're working at a team like up to three people and you want to have at least are around 20 social profiles than obviously $99 per month, which mind you I do find is expensive, but it's giving you this is probably the highest quality quality that you're going to get within who'd sweets platform as faras packages. Now, if you're if you're a single user like myself, it's going to be $19 per month. And I believe that that's the price. If you pay for the year up front, If you go months a month, I believe it's 29. Okay, so that's how that works there. So what I'm gonna do is I'm actually going to show you the free trial in the next videos that you can kind of get an idea of how this all works. Okay, so now I'm gonna go ahead and go through the process of setting up a free trial with Hoot suite. Okay, I'm gonna click on this button now it's asking me to put in my email. My first name password says here you will not be charged anything if you downgrade your plan before your 30 day free trial expires. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel anytime during your trial. Your your 30 day free trial will expire on December 2nd. Okay, so that is just basically telling me when it will expire, which is great. Now this is what I want to show you real quick is that it's 19 per month if you pay the entire year upfront. But if you pay it monthly, if I click over to monthly, which is what I would probably rather dio. The monthly charge would be $29. So that and that's in US funds. So it's 29 monthly. But if you commit for a year, you get 34% discount, okay? So just be aware of that in case you are budgeting and trying to figure out what is right for you. But either way, you're doing a free trial at first anyway, so you could always try it for 30 days. And if you don't love it, they just cancel before the 30 days are up. Just maybe set a reminder in your phone or in your computer somewhere so that you do not miss to cancel before 30 days. Just couldn't want you guys to get dinged unless you're really happy with it. All right, so then it's gonna ask me to put in my payment credit card, information building and so on. Ah, which I'll obviously dio in a moment while I'm not on this this thing. So just for my own privacy and email address and all that stuff, um, but yet says we partner with these leading social networks, so Twitter. Facebook Ah, linked in Google. Ah, YouTube Instagram. I'm not even sure what that one is. And these two and then Twitter. Okay, so Oh, no. What is that? Oh, Tumbler. Okay, I don't know what these two blue ones are green and blue, but anyway, you get my drift. There's a variety of different social networks that are included within this hoot suite platform some to go ahead and sign up and then click over to the next video to show you the next steps. So now that I have filled in my information and I've signed up for the free trial, it'll take me to this page within Hoot suite and says connector for a social profile. So now I have to go ahead and decide which of my social media is that. I want to connect first now, obviously, because in this course, specifically, I'm talking about instagram. I want to find the Instagram icon. Now, for some reason, it's listing Twitter as my first option. But for me, I'm actually more interested in Instagram. In this case, I'm gonna click on this circle and it gives me the options of any of these five so I'm gonna click on Instagram, and now it's asking me to go ahead and authorize that so I can go ahead and do that, some authorizing them to allow Instagram to be loaded into this system. So now that I've added Instagram, it's showing up on this actual hoot suite platform. So it's as success connect another social profiles. It's asking me to connect more. Now if I don't want to connect Martin half do in this case. But, um, if I really wanted to, I could go ahead and continue on. So let's say if I want to also connect Facebook, I could do that Here, click on the circle and click on Facebook. Now, to do the same exact process is gonna x ask me to authorize that Aiken connect Facebook to my, um to my hoot suite. So I'm gonna continue on with that and say OK, but of ah, it's kind like a bit of a set up process. Which Facebook account do you want to add? So because I have a few different ones, I'm gonna go ahead and connect the one I want to connect my, um, my Vision city account, which is my company account. And so now, um, let's say, for example, now we're done. So this three is the magic number. So say, if I didn't want to add any more like, I personally don't really use Twitter that much. I'm not really on linked in. I'm actually more about Instagram and Facebook person, um, Pinterest as well. I don't see a Pinterest on here, though, so maybe that's going to be added here later. But Sam happy. And I just say I'm done adding social networks. I can click on this button here. I'm done. You're almost there. Let us know more about you and your business will use this information to improve your on boarding and send you valuable content. So I'm gonna put in my company name, Vision City. The industry I'm in is kind of like creative design. So let's see. Let's ah, um or I could say education because technically, I teach courses as well, but you get the idea. So you basically gonna find your, um, whatever industry you feel like you're in, let's just say education for now, cos size 1 to 20 people okay and all done. Okay, So there you go. Now I'm actually loading into a hoot suite. And now I'm gonna be able to ah, use this as a platform to pre load into pre schedule my, um, to pre schedule my actual posts on instagram. Okay. Welcome to Hootsuite. Melanie. How would you like or what Would you like to dio publish content? Monitor your networks? Let's say published content. It says your published content now or scheduled for later. So this is what I want to draw your attention to. You're gonna click on. Let's go navigate to Publisher. You can create, edit and view all of your schedule posts from here. Okay, Great. So now I'm gonna go into the process of actually setting up a pre scheduling system for my instagram posts. So now that we're inside of hoots when I want to show you a really quick in general overall way to schedule your posts, So when you come into the hoot suite platform, it says that's up. Your first streams streams are used to monitor any engage with conversation in your social networks. So the first thing we're gonna do is actually go over to left side here. Left side is kind of like your tools or your, um, the ways of actually using this self where I'm not going to go through every single thing or else I'd be here for hours with you. But I do want to show you how to have a schedule, your post on instagram. And that's what I want to show you in this video. So let me just go here to Publisher. And when I click on publisher, this changes To save time with scheduled messages. Use a composing are composed box above to schedule messages to post automatically throughout the day or week. Okay, so we're gonna do is use this box above. Which is this one here? This is the composed message box. Now, first and foremost have to select which social media I want a post on. So for me, I'm gonna post on instagram, which is my vision City design Studio Instagram Right here. Click on that one. It's come like that one is the one that's loaded in. Now I'm gonna go ahead and I'm gonna write a post. So let's say, um I want to, First of all, at an image on a select add attach media. So drag photos or videos here. Okay, so you can either drag them in or you can choose files to upload. So I found an image on my computer in this case, um, so that I can then drag it in. So I've actually brought it in there, and it's just a image from my computer, and I'm gonna go ahead and I'm gonna compose a message. This is my amazing grace. Um, art print someone to say I'm going to sing this song here. Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound. Okay, put quotes on it, and that's gonna be my post. Just something kind of fun. Then I'm gonna go ahead and go to the next area here. It says Okay. Attached media. Already done that. Go over here to scheduling, which is, like, a little calendar and click on that and decide. Okay, when do I want that to post? Let's set. Wanted to post tomorrow. Okay. I'm gonna click it for tomorrow just Friday and clicking on the Friday and I'm also gonna then select what time of day now while I have your attention on the content are the context of time. It's really important to at least post one time per day. So I encourage you to fill up your calendar with at least one post per day, even over the weekends. If you want to stay engaged with your customers, your potential clients and so forth, um, another. Other people say that the Hyatt like goo rose in this area. They would say that the highest number that you want a post within one day's three times. And I've also heard some really great feedback from people to say that when you are posting , if you're posting more than once a day that the timing that you want to post at a 10 o'clock two PM or 10 o'clock AM two PM and six PM those of the three kind of time slots in general that seemed to work best. So depending on where you are in the world and where you're posting to or where customers are, that might change because you may have to come be accommodating. Time zones See may have Doc she shift those times a little bit, but if people that are receiving the post and seeing the posts are seeing them at 10 a.m. To 2 p.m. And at 6 p.m. Then that apparently are is the magic times within the day that worked really well for most people. Now, again, this is all relative, right? It depends on your audience. And when they are hanging out on their computers or on their social media on their phone, people pretty much live on their phone throughout the day. But for the most part, those seem to be the times I'm assuming that has to do with, like, work hours and so forth. Um, you know, break times and so on. So I would encourage you to poster on those times if you're gonna post three times if you're gonna only post once they just choose one of those three times to do your posts. Um, I kind of like to do in the morning because I know it's there, and it's up through the whole day. But that's just me. Okay, You're gonna schedule your time here, and then you're gonna view date and publisher. If you like, we're gonna go ahead and click that one so you can actually see it. A calendar form. You can also add your location. Now, location is a great way to engage people in social media as well, Because by adding location, um, it will. It will actually give you a bit more connective ity with your engagement with your potential customers. So So if you're working in a local business and you want to let people know where you are, you can use that. Okay? At location targeting options says Geo. Tara tagging is only available for the following networks Twitter and Google. Okay, so we cannot do, um, targeting options for that privacy options. You gets like that if you wish. Um, and that's really it. Then you're gonna click on schedule, and there you have it. Now, you can also add in a link. Um, so say, for example, if you want this to go to a specific place for me, it's going to go to my Etsy shop. So I'm gonna click put in my Etsy shops actual address there. Okay. Shop slash Vision city. Okay. If you want to shrink it, you can. It's going to give you a, um, shortened link there of Ukrit. Click on the shrink, which is nice. And there you have it didn't go ahead and say schedule Police liked about at least one social network to post from. Okay, I thought I already did that. There we go. Do that again and schedule. You need to set up publishing to share with Instagram. Set up publishing. Now click on that. Set up your mobile device for Instagram. Make sure you have the latest version of hoot suite installed on your device. OK, so gonna go ahead and put in my actual phone number here, and I'm gonna go to the next step, open the hoot suite APP, go to settings and tab notification settings. Okay, I'm gonna do that. So I just went and I downloaded the app, and I turned on notifications as per the instructions here, it says, turn on notifications for the instrument count you will be posting to from Hoot Suite. So it's asking me now to enable that, So I'm gonna do that now. So as soon as I turned on the public are the notifications within the instagram says published instagram on my phone As soon as I click that over, um, it actually this popped up on my computer. Instagram set up complete. You'll get a notification on your device at the scheduled time to complete publishing in instagram app. So in other words, who tweets going? Teoh, Give me notifications. Whenever I'm about to do a post so they don't just take over, they you schedule it and then you still have the option to, you know, not do it at the time. Like maybe you decide last minute. You don't want a post that time, which is actually a really handy tool. Ah, for us. So then I'm gonna say, Done. There you have it. So now I've actually just schedule a post for tomorrow, and it's gonna happen at 3 35 It's my amazing grace How sweet the sound print and now it's scheduled. So that's how you schedule posts within Hoot suite. And I just want to make sure to show you guys how to do this so I could actually feel this up every day if I wanted to and give it a real try and see how that affects my engagement and how it affects overall. My not only my numbers, cause it's not always just about numbers on Instagram. It's definitely about how do you engage with customers because a lot of people have a lot of numbers, but they don't have any engagement. They just don't have any comments. And he shares. You want your shares in your comments to constantly going up as well as your likes. Um, but always remember, likes and shares and comments don't pay the bills. You always want to get people to go to your shop or go to hire you if you're working on commission jobs. So again, these are just ways to generate buzz and to get people to come out to your whatever it is you're offering people, which is either a service or product. So I just want to be sure to show you this guys in the suits sweet dot com three. Sign up for this and there's 30 day trial. You can always cancel it if you do not want to commit, but definitely give it a try and see what you think. Um, and I hope it works for you 9. Facebook Ad For Instagram Follows: Hi guys. In this video, I want to walk with you through the process of building a Facebook ad for Instagram in order to gain more followers on Instagram now. No, it sounds funny that rock she working within Facebook, But keep in mind, Facebook owns Instagram now, So it kind of makes sense that this is the strategy in order to build more followers on instagram for your art business. Okay, here we are on my Facebook page, and I like you to just kind of follow along with me. You may need to start and stop this video a few times as there's lots of little steps that I want to make sure you're aware of. Now what we're gonna do first is we're going to go up into this little arrow down pointing arrow here, and we're gonna click on that arrow and go down to create ads. Now, this is gonna take us into what is called the ads manager. Now, if you've never been here before, you may want to just kind of take it really slow and fall along with me. There's a lot of things you could do on this page, but my main objective is to gain views on a video we're going to create or ah, video ad that we've already made that it's going to be added here. It's saying up here, what's your marking objective? And mine is video views. I'm gonna click on that. And I have to just simply name this, um, this ad. I'm gonna call it Instagram. Call it V seek of my company's vision city and then video views going to click on continue . And now it's gonna have me build my ad. Okay, I'm have to name the ad set up here right up here. The top, the ads that's going to be called instagram. I encourage you to use instagram at the beginning of your name so that you don't forget where because sometimes you may have several different ads going social to get into more Facebook ads. So you want to make sure you're aware of where it's going to instagram VC video ad. Okay, that's I'm gonna call mine. You can call us whatever you like, but that's just the way I've decided to name mine. We're not gonna really a touch up here. Too much ring all way down to this area here. Now, we're still in the area of audience, which is what we want to work on next. But what I want to talk to you about is the area where the location of the audience were not gonna touch custom audience. Um, tap, We're gonna go all the down here till locations. Okay. Now, after lots of research, what has been discovered is that, um, ads within North America and Europe tend to cost more money for, you know, engagement from your customers than ads elsewhere. So because Canada is my where I live and the cost of running and add to Canadians is just more money than it is for other nations around the world. I'm going to exclude this country's I'm actually going to go ahead and ex that out. I'm not going to go there now. It's asking me. What am I going to include now? It says here I'm gonna say worldwide. Okay, that's a region, obviously the worldwide region. And then I'm gonna click on this button here. It says, including a down air of that, and I'm gonna go down to exclude, okay? And I'm gonna exclude my home country which is Canada. Okay, I'm exclude the U. S. A. Groups United States. Okay, I'm gonna exclude United Kingdom and I'm exclude Germany. Okay, now some of you might think Well, why Why are we excluding these countries? Many of you who are following this course might even live in these countries. Now, it's not that we have anything against these countries. We love these countries. Obviously, I'm from Canada, and I mean, I love every one of these countries listed. But the reason why we've excluded these is because the actual cost to have ads running to these countries are more expensive than other countries around the world. So we're excluding them because we want our costs for each ad impression to be much lower. Ok, now, I know that's a lot of tech talk, but that's the gist of it. We want to have a lower price for this ad. Okay? Otherwise, if we kept it on these countries, then we would actually be paying a lot more for this ad and we don't want to do that. So now we gotta go down to the next area, which is age okay, Age for me. My customer is generally between the age of 20 Let's say 22 40. Okay, now that's the age range. I'm gonna leave it open for men and and women, usually my customers woman. But in this case, I'm cool with having both. Because of this point, my main objective is to gain numbers. I'm not gonna touch the languages because obviously, if I start listing languages, I'm gonna have to list lots because there's so many countries speaking different languages around the world. So leave the language is open and did not touch that Now detailed targeting include people who match at least one of the following. So for me, I'm actually I sell art prints and greeting cards. My my art prints are black and white, and they're very modern and, um, inspirational. So I couldn't include places like it's actually already in here. I've done previous ads, but paper source is a company that would work well for me. I have to basically find are what the main objective here is to actually list companies or people who are similar to what you Dok. You may also want to list, you know, companies like, you know, Pop Iris could work for me. Um, let's see what else? It's giving me suggestions, but you could actually type in ah, variety of car companies that really relate to what you already do. Like other design companies or creative companies. Maybe there's some studios, but keep in mind he wanted to be general and white. Broad strokes you want. Like for me, I could say even I Kia. I know that's really broad, but the reality is that style of modern art and modern decor, people who shop there or shopping, paper, source or papyrus. They would probably like my stuff because I also do modern related decor products and paper products so I could do a variety of different companies here I could probably do in. To go into go is a um it's a It's a company. That is, um, here we go into it go books and music, Indigo books and Music is a Canadian book shop that sells not only that, but it sells home decor items and gifts. So I could really keep this strokes really broad and wide here. My main objective is to get a good amount of reach now, in this case, my estimated reach says 31 million people potential reach. That's fairly good. I could add some more here. I could add rifle paper, not as much, because they're like my company, but they are a paper brand, and they do sell prints and greeting cards as well. So I want to get people that have a lot of following are a large, large falling, but that are similar and product descriptions as me now trying to find exact same branding and style as me might be a bit more difficult, So keep your your suggestions broad and keep in mind if you go to one of these, you could actually you could click on the button suggestions, and it could give you more options. So I keep catalogue would be a great one. Um, I could say stationary. I could say, um, drawing cause you can also not only list companies keep in mind, but hobbies and interests. So I could also add, um, a visual arts I could add, um, you know, let's say graphic design for sure. That's what I am. So as you can see now, I've got a list of not only companies that are similar to my own or that are related to what I do. You also have interests and hobbies. Okay, so now my estimated potential reaches 180 million people. Now, I know that's a lot, but I'm fine with that number because my main goal is to get in numbers to my INSTAGRAM account. Okay, so I'm gonna leave it at that. You can actually add in this many as you want. I wouldn't go too crazy, even like having, like, a dozen or so dreamlike eight and 12 here is great. That seems to be the magic number or the magic range of number. And now we're gonna go down here. We're gonna actually keep all of this the same. Let me just double check this. Okay? Connections, Facebook pages, APS. We're gonna keep that the same. And we know down here to edit placements. Now, placement is where is your ad gonna show up? We're not going to click on this first when we're actually gonna click on the second option Edit placements. I'm gonna un collapse. I'm gonna collapse all these areas because I don't want Facebook at all. I don't want this to be on Facebook. I don't want this to be on audience network, and I only wanted to be on Instagram, and I wanted to show up in the feet. I don't want it to show up in the story, and you could do story if you like, but for this purposes, I suggest feed. Okay, so now that selected. And now, now we know where this ad's gonna show up. So again, you're gonna uncheck Facebook uncheck audience networks, and you're gonna just have, um, instagram selected and it's gonna be on Lee on feed. Okay, Now we're gonna go down even further, keep going, and we're gonna go down now to budget now, because I'm really budget conscious, especially for those of you who are starting out doing these ads. I suggest being conservative, I would say $5 daily budget for now. You can do 5 to 10 but I would encourage you to stay kind of conservative for now and then watch your instagram account daily and see how much your instagram goes up. Now it's pretty difficult to estimate the exact cost fridge follow, But like some people get them for a sense, some people get the front 10 20 cents. Some people get them up to a dollar per follower, but I don't want you to spend too much money, so I would encourage start off in $5 and then if you need to make any adjustments, you could do so. But this is a good place to start, I think because I like to be conservative spending as well. Now, if you want, you could do a, um, starting end date. I do like to do that. So I would encourage you to try that start. Have a start, date and date. Um, if you want to, you don't have to do that. You could just run my ad continuously. Starting today. I feel like truly if you do that, then you're taking a bit of a gamble. Especially if you forget to come back. So for me, I would actually do the start date, so I'm gonna start it as of today, and I'm gonna run it for about a week. I'm gonna go back here to were at the fourth. I'm gonna go back to have it run till the 11th case about one week. So now it says here your ad will run for seven days, your spend will be no more than $35.21 is giving me an estimation there. Now, keep in mind, Facebook has what it's called algorithms. That's kind like ways of communication between the ads and between the actual, um, keywords and so forth. So keep in mind, it's saying 21 since that's an estimation because some days they'll spend a little bit more Sundays will spend a bit less, but we're asking only $5 per day. So they're just giving us a heads up that it might go late 20 cents over. So don't be too freaked out by the 21 cents. Okay, cerrado down to ah, this area here and actually all of this can stay the same. We don't need to change anything here and now we're gonna go ahead and press continue. Okay, so now on this page, what we're going to do is we're going Teoh, fill in the rest of our ad, we're gonna actually create the adhere. So now I'm gonna make sure that my ad name is correct. Um, I've added in instagram vision city video views. That's fine. Now go down here, and it's going to just I want to make sure that my Facebook page, which is what I'm working on, is set to the right page. So right now I'm set to my vision City page, which is great. That's my actual companies Facebook page to make sure it's the company one not a personal one, right? And on your next one what it's asking for my INSTAGRAM account. So it's asking me to make sure that this is the correct INSTAGRAM account that I want to be connecting Teoh to the selected Facebook page. So if I were looking for if I had multiple, I'd click this arrow down and find it. But I only have one. That's my INSTAGRAM accounts. That's all connected now. I moved down here. I'm gonna go ahead and click on single video. This is the type of ah format of ad. I would suggest you can do a slideshow of images if you like. That loops every 10 seconds or every 10 images up to you, um, completely up to you. But I find that single videos work best something click on this one, and that's selected Now. I all I need to do now is actually add the video. Now, for those of you who are adding a video, all the specs and the video recommendations are on the right side. So recommended length up to 15 seconds. OK, recommended as, um, aspect ratio is vertical. Five are sorry. 4 to 5. Okay, um, that's if you wanted to a vertical one. That gives you the highest recommended space. So it's kind of like more real estate when you're looking at a video on instagram. Okay. Now sound enabled with captions included. Ah, and so forth. You can go ahead and read all this information to make sure that your video fits the recommendations. Keep in mind one thing I do want you to know is recommended formats is MP four M o V or GIF . Okay. And for your instagram feed, it has to be It can be only up to 60 seconds. If it's less than that, it will be cut off at 60 seconds. They don't want to go longer than a minute. So what do we do now? Has been out of video here. And because I've done videos in the past, I'm gonna find one already. on my brows library. But if you wanted, if you didn't have one available, you could always upload here by clicking on the blue button. But for me, I already have some already in my library. Something Go ahead and use that. So let's just say I am using this one right here, okay? No, I probably wouldn't use this one, because obviously, this is a welcome video to my Facebook page, but just for the time being, Okay, so let's say this is my add. The next thing it's saying is I need to select a cover image are a preview image. This is the first thing people are gonna see when they come to your ad. So I look a little bit silly there. I'm looking mid sentence, so I'm probably gonna change that to just my logo. Or if you want, you could have an image. It really depends on your brand. You may want yourself kind of immense sends it might look kind of intriguing and fun. So you go ahead and choose your first video image. Let us see. I went with that one. Okay, but look a little bit funny there, but you get the idea, then it saying here, captured on video captions recommended. So if you wanted, you could actually add that automatically. Captions are generated automatically. You can then review them for accuracy before sending them or saving them to your video. So the captions are basically the words coming up is when people don't have their volume turned on. So that's something to be aware of. Let Facebook review and then upload your own. So it's totally up to you for the actual captions. For the time being, I'm not gonna add them just because I don't think it's necessary in this exact case up to you, though Now, when you go down, it's going to give you a preview of how your ad video ad is going to show an instagram. Okay, um, and now what it's asking me to do is to select the text or the caption underneath What is going to be We're in there now because my main objective and remind remember, this is for social proof. We want more numbers on your INSTAGRAM account. What we really want is follows. Okay, so what we're gonna say is like or follow if you like or I'll have, we say, if you love and then enter in what it is you make. So, for me, um, I could say modern art prints and I could leave it at that. And that could be used as the actual caption in order for people to then click on here and follow me. Okay, so now that we've created a text line that we're happy with, What we need to do now is to add a website you, Earl. Now, if yours is not selected, maybe it looks like this You're gonna click on this little button or little square at a website. You, Earl, this is really important. And this is where you're going to add your instagram. You are l okay, not just your instagram name. So it's actually going to be the actual Earl Instagram since ah graham dot com. And then line is Vision City design studio. Okay, what do you suggest? You, um copy that and then do a new window and just paste it to make sure that it goes exactly to you. Her Ah, instagram page or profile. I want to make sure that's me. And that is so great. I'm gonna close that. So now I know that That's the right girl. That's where I want to send people. Okay, Now, mind you, this Let me just talk to you guys for a quick second. This is really handy if you're doing a launch, okay? If you're launching a product, if you're launching some kind of new design work that you're doing as a creative maybe you're launching some sort of any website or something like that. And you want not only the followers, but you'll also want to tie that into something. But you can always tie this text into what it is you're actually selling. Like like a bit more direct with it. Like maybe if you're launching a book or a creative um ah. Promoted ah, product of some kind. You could actually tie that into this line of text. It doesn't have to be a general. Is this just want to put that out there? Because this could come in handy if you're doing some kind of launch. Okay. Now, after you put in your website, you are l which is going to be your instagram. You are okay, right? Director Instagram account what you need to do now is to decide on your call to action button. That's going to be the button that shows up underneath your video out on instagram. Okay, now, right now, it just says, learn more, which is kind of general. So you can actually change that to something else you could say, Watch more book now download. Get some get show times. Listen now, send message a shop now or, um, sign up. So for example, technically, I guess you could leave it as learn more. But what if we said something like shop now that's a bit more relative. That's gives them the idea that there is products to be bought or you could change it to something else. So basically, you could have it. Um, you know, ah, relative to whatever is your message you're trying to send. So for me, let's just say I went with shop. Now I'm I'm giving them a hint that there's products for sale here by doing that. And then after that, I just look at my ad. I review it over here, and then that's it. I go down to the very bottom, and I, um, I click on Continue or confirm. And once I click on confirm it will take me to the next page. Now it takes a couple minutes. It's asking, Do you want to duplicate Add save time by duplicating this existing ad? I don't know at this time, salsa continue. And there you go. Now we've got are ad here it ISS and its honor adds manager page. And now this is the page. I can come back, Teoh. So keep this page. Um, you know, in your bookmarks on your computer and you come back here and you can watch this ad. Now, what we're really looking for is the amount of follows okay, Not only the impressions, which is views, but the results. You want to know how many people are actually being reached by this? You? This is where you come to find out that the amount you spent the cost per results and so forth. This is where you find out all the information, OK? And this is where you will come to basically see how the ad is doing. If you're getting your follows for super cheap, maybe like, you know, 10 cents or less than you may want to run it for a bit longer. You may want to extend it. Um, now to turn off and add, you simply click. Um, it'll actually this it says here this adiz in review. So obviously this isn't even fully relative yet, by the way, you will have to have it be reviewed by Facebook, which is fine. One thing to note, sometimes within Facebook. They don't like it when you have too much text in your videos. So as long as your text is like 20% or less, because they refer to text as basically promotion or like as if you're selling something, which is fine. But keep the text in your videos to about 20% or less, Um, in the actual add video. Okay, once I'm done with its it's been running for seven days and I'm happy and I've gotten enough ads or a story follows that I'm really happy with on instagram. I would just click on this to turn it off. Okay, Now, if I if I want to keep it running, I could just duplicate this and run it again. Okay, super easy. But that's the way to set up an ad within Facebook to generate follows on Instagram 10. Tagging Products On Instagram: this video I want to discuss with you, um, what it would take in order to actually set up product tags on your instagram account. Now, before we go into that in the next video I want to talk to you about how do you even get approved to set up your products as tag products for instagram so people can actually shop from your account? Now, first things first. Your business must sell physical goods that comply with the merchant agreement and commerce pit policies in order to make sure that's not illegal goods and so on. Your account must also be converted to a business profile, obviously, So your instagram account is not just going to be a personal account. It's going to be a business profile on INSTAGRAM, and your business profile must be connected with a Facebook catalogue. So in other words, you can't just send, um, have tags that goes specifically from your personal website. So you sell your art products on your own personal website. They need to actually be integrated and connected to a Facebook catalogue, which I'm going to show you in this video now the other ah, platforms that do comply with tagging on Instagram are Shopify as well as big commerce platforms. Um and so if you use any of those as well and that can work. But in my case and I think in the majority of people's cases, especially those of you who are on etc, for example because that's he's not yet connected in this way, I hope it will be soon. But for the time being we need to actually create a catalogue of our etc or whatever wherever your products are sold. Critic catalog of your products on your Facebook page This is two fold number one. It benefits your people who are on your Facebook page people that are following you because now they can purchase from your Facebook page, which is a bonus. But in the case of what I'm trying to teach you right now, the benefit of this is that you can then tell your products directly to Instagram so people can make buys right from Instagram. OK, in the next video, I'm gonna give you a demo on how to actually do that. But I want to just give you that heads up in order to just set you up properly before you even go ahead with that. Hi, guys. In this video, I'm gonna talk to you about tagging your products for Instagram. Now, the benefits of doing this is obvious, but just didn't make it clear. It enables us to be able to have products be able to clicked on, then sent it would send people directly to a by page online. Okay, so say you have a product that you're selling when you're making a post, you don't want to always have to say, you know, click on my link and profile. You want people to people actually buy from your instagram post, which is that's the benefit of this. So I'm gonna walk you through the process to show you a demo. First thing first, you're gonna go ahead and click on the button as if you're doing a regular post on Instagram. Here's my post. I'm gonna click on that. That's a product I have for sale in my shop. Now I sell on Etsy, So depending on where you sell, there's different ways of getting the products available here. But I will show you that in a moment. Click on next. Oops. No, I'm obviously going to go ahead and write my right up my my caption and so on now, right beside Tech people underneath that it says tag products. Now that's new. Okay, so that's why this is such a special video to make sure you guys were aware of this. So that's why I want to talk about right now. Let's go ahead and click on tag products. So when I come to this page, I can literally just tap a spot on the picture. So let's just tap the middle of it, and that's basically where the tag is gonna show up. Okay, now it's asking me to go ahead and find that product because I've out of these products to my Facebook business page. Remember, Facebook owns Instagram, so there are other selling platforms that will allow you to integrate into Instagram, but etc. Unfortunately, is not one of them. And that's where I sell. So I had to actually bring my my products and make it Ah, shop, so to speak. Ah, shop list on my Facebook page, which I will show you in one moment. So if you're on Etsy seller, this is the way you would do it. Okay, so these have already been added to my Facebook page as products, which I'm going to show you in the next video. But that's why they're listed here, something that hadn't find that picture of San Diego wall principle. And I just click on it. So now it's It shows up as a little shopping bag on the lower left hand corner, much because could see that that's where it's going. Teoh. Give people a hint that there's actually a product here. It also shows the listing detail. So says San Diego, while our principal and shows the price. So that is what will happen when you make a post that's gonna pop up so that I click on done. And now that product is tags to this post. Okay, so now I'm gonna show you an example of how Well, look, once you've made the post some of scroll down to find the product. Now you know it's a products because the little shopping bags shows up in the top right hand corner of even this little kind of gallery view they give you. So let's click on that one. And there it is. Got a little shopping bag on the lower left hand corner. And if I click on it, the actual information shows up Now. This is for a different print, obviously, but that's what it will look like. So then somebody could go ahead and click on that click, and then it says, View on Websites and Apple go directly to buy it. Someone click on that and guess what? Now it's opening the actual physical page or people can make buys on my Etsy shop like That's cool, right? So that's why you want to actually tell your products to Instagram. This is really, really a big deal. Guys, I want to make sure you guys know about this. So that's why this video is extra special. This is brand new on Instagram and really, really big deal. So it takes people right. If I was a customer, I could now add to cart and buy it. Okay? So again, you wanna bring your photos, your product photos into Facebook, in my case, because I sell a Minster are on etc on and that's the only way I can integrate. But in the next video, I'm gonna show you how to actually integrate them together. Hi, guys. As promised in this video, I'm gonna show you how to actually upload your products to Facebook. Because Facebook is then going to be where you're going to integrate your product tags into instagram. Now, I know it sounds kind of confusing, but reminder Facebook owns instagram. So the actual Facebook company owns Instagram as a platform. So that's why these integrate well together. Okay, so let's go to your actual Facebook business page reminder. It can only work to do this if you have a Facebook business page. Um, okay, so what you're to do first is you're going to go down to the tab That's called shop now. Um, since my previous recording of this course, this has been added. So that's why I'm doing this video. It's an update. So you're gonna click on the shop tab here, Okay? When you dio you're gonna come to this page here. Now, we're gonna skip over this section about ah collections just for a minute, and we're gonna go down to the section now is asking you here you can actually edit. Um, the actual description is ask you to write a little description of what your products are. So for me, I said, Vision City sells black and white wall art prints and principles that you can instantly download and print at your home. All artists bright, light hearted and inspiring. So that's why I wrote for myself. You can write your own description there. Okay. Now, as you go down, you're going to see that there's an option to actually add products. So I want to take you through the process to do so. Now, I've already set up some some kind of midway through this process. So that's why I have these different sections. I've created what they call collections. So I have a collection that's called City while art principles. Okay, I have another collection. It's called Black and White Art prints and so on. Now, in this case, I can actually just add to all products. Okay, this is probably where you're going to see when you come to yours. If you haven't done this already, you're gonna click on add product. You can actually add this to any of them and switch it later so that just to not confuse you, you basically just want to click on the add product button. Now what's gonna happen is you're gonna add the product here is you're gonna find the photos to get it from your computer. Now, if I click on that, it's gonna then ask me to search for the photo of the product. Now, by the way, let's look at the recommended photo guidelines really quick. Just so I could make sure to tell you that in case you're wondering, all right, garlands your listing products. You're a shop section. Um, okay, let's go down here. The product must be 1024 by 1024 pixels or higher. It should be in a square format. Um, and show the product close up, have white backdrops of possible capture the product in real life situation. So this is similar to what? The advice that you get on Etsy. Okay, so you want to write really clean a shot of the product? You don't want it on an angle. You want it really straight on. Crops square 1024 by 1024 pixels in in dimensions. Okay. You shouldn't use images that contain text offensive content, obviously advertising or watermarks or time sensitive information. Um, let's see here. That's basically it. I mean, everything else here is pretty obvious. I'm gonna go back. So those are the general rules. You Mrs wanna have a nice, clean product shot, So I'm gonna go ahead and add one. And when I click on the button there, it's gonna ask me to then search for the file so you can drive your photo here, or you can click on search for file. I found a print that I'm going to add called Thankful This is my thankful, Um, hand lettered prince. I'm gonna say choose and it's gonna go ahead and add the photo now, okay. And click on use photo, and I could add more photos. I can also add a video. So say you have a promotional video or something. Like a little commercial of sorts for your product. You can actually add that here through the same process. You're going to name your products. I'm gonna call it thankful. Well, our print I'm going to give it a price. So this is a printable I'm gonna price at $7. Now it's asking me, Is this product on sale? So are you offering a special. If you are, you can click on this button and then it's gonna ask you the regular price in the sale price. So in other words, it's gonna show both to your customer. Okay, Now, in my case, I'm not gonna do that, cause it just for the time sake, I'm just gonna offer it at regular price. Now can read description. Thankful, Um, hand lettered art, print and so on. You can add your description here. I would add similar description here to what you would have in your actual product listing . So maybe if you're a seller on etc. I would even copy and paste something similar to what you're already using on etc. Then you're gonna go ahead and actually add the link. So this, in my case, would be a link to etc. So I'm gonna go ahead and find my link. So here I am now on my actual Etsy shop, and what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna find that print, okay? There's that print, something to click on it. And I'm gonna grab the link from the URL from up here. It's a copy. And now I'm gonna paste it right here in the check out girl. So in other words, where I want people to go when they click on this. Okay, share this product on your page, I'm gonna say yes. And do you want this to be public? I want it to be public. Yes, I'm gonna stay safe. So that's the way you add a product to your Facebook page. So that that way, it's then available to then be used as, um, as a tag product on your instagram account. So now that I've added that product, if I want to see all my products, I can click on, See all. And I haven't added all my products yet, but I'm in the process of doing so. So there it is. Thankful Wall art print It says its processing. So it takes a few minutes to actually process and get, you know, added in to the system. But now, if I wanted to go ahead and tag this product, say I wanted to post about this product on Instagram, I could actually tagged this product through the way that I just showed you in the previous video. And now that's going to be a NIF active tag product that people can actually buy from my INSTAGRAM account. Now, I'm actually killing two birds with one stone, obviously, because about it now to Facebook. So when people are on my business Facebook page for Vision City in my studio. Okay, when they're here now, I actually have a full shop on my Facebook page. So when you do this, you're actually killing two great big birds with one stone because, um, you're adding the availability for purchases not only from Facebook, but also from instagram. So now that you have added a products to your shop on your Facebook page ah, which obviously benefits both Facebook and instagram. Now I've gone back out to the main page, your main, um kind like home of your shop on Facebook. So now I want to show you really quickly how to kind of organize them because some of our products might be in collections or kind of in sections. It's similar to when you're on etc. And you may have you know, some art prints are geared towards kids or summer geared towards, you know, uh, sarcastic sayings or some are geared towards Mother's Day gifts or so on. So you may want to sort of section things off. And on Facebook, they call it collections. So in my case, what I want to do is I want to show you how to actually create collections so you can add products to them. So I go out to the home page. Now, what's happened is I go to the very bottom. I have some collections already made about to show you how to do it from scratch. You're gonna go to the bottom here, going to say, add collection collections to organise your products and make it easier for customers to browse. So add collection, click on that button and I'm syndicate out of that. Okay, I'm gonna add a new collection. So click on the blue button in the top, right hand corner. I'm gonna name it. I'm gonna call it hand letter, and it's asking me if I want a feature this collection I'm gonna not feature right now. I'm just gonna keep it as is. I'm gonna leave as visibility as public. Okay? Now, you could also be building this up in private and then launch a new collection if you want . That's that's an option for promoting it. Okay, Now it's asking me to add products. I'm gonna click on these ad products button click on that. And now it's going toe list all of the different products I've have, um, uploaded to Facebook and select which one I want to add to this collection. So in my case, I'm gonna add this one click on the little box. Thankful. Well, art prints and ad. Okay, so now that's in this collection, and I'm is gonna click Save. So now if I add more hand letter art, I can add it to this collection if I want to. So that's how you create collections on Facebook in order to really organize your catalogue . You know, some of us might have, you know, 100 or more products. So rather than having customers have to sift through so many, it's nice to create collections to make it really easy for them in the same way that you would in your actual shop, maybe on, um, whether its on Etsy or another platform. But in this case, for the majority of you who might be Etsy Sellers, um, this is what will really benefit the people that are actually looking through your products on Facebook. So again, this specific video is how to add products of Facebook in order to then tagged them on instagram, and that is how you do so. 11. Bonus Pro Tip: Lynx In Bio: Hi, guys. Welcome back in this video I wanted to do a special pro tip for those of you who are in the Instagram Accelerator course, because I really believe that this is a really great thing. It's an app that can add a lot to your instagram profile, Um, and also just take away a lot of stress and kind of extra steps when it comes to promoting different things that you're promoting on instagram for your our business that you are building now. First of all, there's something that's called Links in Bio. Now, if you look it up with the proper spelling, you won't find it. So let me just make sure that you know how it's spelled. It's L why an X in byo dot com Okay, so I go up to the top here. It's links in byo dot com, spelled l Y and X. So that's where you would go in order to check this out. And what it is is actually a way so that your link in your profile on Instagram is then going to open up. If somebody clicks on it, it will then open up to offer people a list of buttons. OK, so in other words, the benefit of this is the APP is that it will, um it will have this list that's always there. So say you're promoting something on Instagram instead of just saying, you know, let me, like, change my link today because I'm doing a promotion. You won't have to ever change your link. Your link will always be the link that is created within this up. So, for example, if somebody clicks on my length and I just created what's going to happen is they're gonna open up to this screen here. Now let me just zoom. And if I can, they will open up to a screen that looks like this. It will have my studio name. It'll have my logo and we'll have a list of buttons that I've just created on links in byo dot com. And so the benefit is obvious. It it actually expands the usage of your link and profile on instagram. Okay, so I hope that makes it makes sense and is clear. So when somebody clicks on the link in my profile, which is this link here that you're going to create if you go ahead and use this service. Then what's gonna happen is it's gonna open up with a variety of links. Okay, so say, for example, I want someone Teoh join my free webinar. They can click on the top button. Okay, Join, Etc. Artist A dream kit, Facebook group. Then they can click on that button. Is my print shop my website visit my Facebook page and so on. So I'm gonna keep these buttons always there, so that when they anybody clicks on my Lincoln profile, this page will pop up. Okay, so the way to do it is obvious you're gonna first of all, put in Ah, your page title. So for me, it's Vision City studio. Ah, your subtitle looks as though doesn't give you that much space. I just put three words design plus Prince plus courses because that's really sums up what I dio. I found that the only thing I wasn't sure about and I thought was kind of strange was that when I type two more information, it actually pushed my text to the top of the page and almost went off the page. So I'm not sure that's just attack glitch on their end or what? But just in case you're wondering about that, that's that's the case. I think it's minimal. Wording. Seems to be that what's working best in this in this up? Okay, you're gonna upload a profile image, so it could be a photo of yourself. It could be your logo. Um, it could be one of your art pieces and so on. So what I'm gonna do now is give you a demo on how to add the links. As you can see, I just have four, actually. Just deleted one really quickly just to show you this demo, apparently on the free program, which I'll go over the pricing in one moment, but on the free, um, you know, program here. In order to use this up, you actually only get five buttons. OK, so I assume that if you get more buttons that you're gonna have to go into the next level, which is a paid monthly subscription. Okay, So what you gonna do if you want to add another button, is you're going to go ahead down here. It says create new link. You're gonna click on that and start writing a name. So let's just call it vision soups, spilling my name Wrong vision City website. Okay, I'm add my link Vision City top is okay. And then I'm gonna click this blue add button, okay? And now its added the Vision City website. So that's a simple is that if I want to move them around, I would just hover over this area on the left. That's got I think it's four sideways, but lines, horizontal lines stacked on top of each other. That's generally the symbol for things that are movable. Okay, online. So if I want to move them around, I could I could just put this at the top if I wanted to, and so on. So that's the way that I would set that up. Now, another thing I could do here is I could actually decide on, um, the actual color of the background as well. So if I click over here to style, I could change my style. Um, if I wanted to. The default is white background. But if I really wanted Teoh, I could go down to a dark background like that. I could go to instant background, which is giving me a rainbow, right now Instant dark, OK? Or I could just stick to default. I kind of like the default because my brand is very black and whites That makes sense for me. Now, I could show icons for these social media. So if you have any social media buttons, you can actually add icons to them. Um, and say, for example, any websites is just going to show you a globe. But like my Facebook group, it's going to give me a F for the Facebook and so on. Okay, if I want at Twitter or Pinterest, it would add those icons there for me. I'm actually gonna turn it off. I think I'm just gonna leave it as is. Ah, show footer. The footer down here just says, um, get your own free link. So that's basically if I want to turn that off. Oh, actually, I can't turn that off unless I become a pro. Okay, so let's go back into the content. Okay? So, as you can see, this is a really handy tool. I think everyone should really get this. If you're running any kind of business on Ah, instagram. I mean, I'm specifically speaking to artists. However, um, just note that this is really beneficial to any business. I think so. This is a really, really great tool. Now, let's go in and see how much it costs to upgrade. If we were going to two more of a pro account, if I go into account, So here's my account details. And if I was going to upgrade to pro, this would be what I would get would be $5 U S per month. So $40 us per year. Unlimited links. So that's the real benefit. Okay, so you can have more than five links custom. You are l So you're not gonna have links in byo dot com slash You know a whole bunch of gibberish, which is kind of what I have right now. Support for custom domain, advanced click tracking, advanced theme customization. Um, advanced background image support. So that might be really great, cause you could actually have more design control and remove provided by a lynx footer. So in the words are gonna have that little ad at the bottom of your links in bio page. Okay, so it's $5 per month is actually really good. I think I'm probably upgrade mine to just try that out. Um, And then there's also this is just showing me the current plan I have. So right now I have up to five lengths. Random neural short code, like the usage of the word random there. That's kind of them trying to say to upgrade. Ah, basic click tracking standards. Theme selection. Okay, now, another really great thing that I want to make a known to you guys is they offer affiliate income, which is kind of cool, actually. So you can actually add this, um, so that, say, on your website or on your blog's gonna actually adul button and say that you work alongside of this company. And if you anybody clicks on your affiliate link and then they sign up, then you get a kickback for it. Okay, so it says here 50% commissions on referred subscriptions, and that's re occurring. So you'll continue to receive commissions on subscription renewals to get started, share your affiliate length with your friends and on social media, Then track your progress by clicking a manage affiliate account. Ah, commissions are paid out by via PayPal to the email address associated with your links account. We pale commissions after referred. Sales are verified and you've accumulated at least $10 of US US dollars or of commissions Do so. I mean, it's probably small at the beginning, but say, if you have a large brand, this could just be a small little thing that's adding up in the back end that you're not even thinking about what people are using the link that you have, Maybe on your blog's or on your, you know, on your social media. I mean, you could even make this one of your links, I guess that you're actually using as a button, so I don't see why not. Um, you know, if you want to tell people what you're using within social media, basically, they're offering us a reason for us to talk about this business because it's new. It's a brand new up that, um, I think it's gonna take off, though, because it's so handy. Let's go back to the dashboard. Okay, so that's really it. That's all I really want to share in this video. I think this is excellent for artists. Those you're selling your art online, um, and want to really grow your business. You can have one link in your in your bio, which is going to be the blue one up here. Okay, Um and then you can.
