1. 1 Intro: Hello and welcome to the Influencer Course. First of all, my name is Savu and I'm a university marketing student and a long time content creator on Youtube and Tiktok. I've been doing Youtube for almost three years now and I also been doing Tiktok for a year. Recently, I started a new Tiktok account and implemented the tips and tricks that I'm about to show you in this course. I got to say I got some pretty good results. And I hope you can get some value out of those. My goal, we discourse, is to enhance your knowledge and unleash your creative potential. So that you can find very good success on your influencer journey. 2. 2 My experience: When I first started my Youtube career, I didn't have anything in mind, nor direction, or target, nothing about the subscribers, the goals that had in mind, or the content I've been posting or anything about that. They were pretty poorly edited and very bad. After about a year of doing these random videos with no sense, I've got around 78 subscribers, so you can clearly tell that wasn't working. With that, I decided that I have to change a lot. So the first thing that I did, I was starting to read and watch videos on business and influencing people on social media. I got some very good value out of that. Also, now that I'm that University of Marketing that I told you about, I got some good stuff out of it. I will teach you both from the university and both from everything that I learned. Point I'm trying to make is that I did a lot of mistakes and wasted a lot of time on my first year of being an influencer. And I don't want that for you with discourse. I'm going to teach you the things that you need to do to get everything that you need to enhance your knowledge. And to get your creative muscles working so I can fight a lot of success on your influencing career. 3. 3 Facts about social media and creating content on social media (theory): Now I'm going to begin this theory section of the course with talking about facts about social media. And creating content on social media, you can understand better what you need to do to maximize your audience. First of all, is the dynamic change algorithm. I want you to understand that all the companies and all the platforms on social media are always updating and refining their algorithm so it can give the users their content or the things that they wish to watch and see more accurately. Do you need to do this information? Well, with this, you need to research the platform that you're trying to make content on and see how are they recommending the content to their users. Part, I call it the visual content dominance. Why is that? Because most of the content that is the most engaging is the one that is visualized. Because as humans, we tend to learn and be attracted more to the visual things. That's just a fact you can understand. Wide platforms such as Instagram, Tiktok, and Youtube are the most popular is because you get a lot of visual contentent of it. Now what you do with this information, you need to understand that a good edit and a good team of editors can make your video more appealing to the mass audience. What you need to understand even more is that the engagement metrics matter. What's that? That's the likes, the comments, the subscribes, the follows, and so on and so forth. Also one the shares, these metrics are used by the platform to indicate how relevant your content is. We can start to see now why all those Tubeirds tell you like the shares subscribe, all that is because it helps them to push their content even further to many people. Let's talk about consistency and regular posting. A regular posting allows the users to form a more predictable fan base and the followers to have a more reliable source of entertainment. A good rule of thumb for this strategy is that you can have a calendar and you can schedule your post. For example, you can have posting Monday and Friday videos. 4. 4 What you can apply (synthesize): Okay, so the theory that I told you earlier was Fininl, but the question is, what can you do with it? Well, in this section of the course, I'm going to synthesize it and help you apply. The first thing that you need to do is to research the platform that you desire to uppload on. Find out how the algorithm moves and how you can get the most out of it. The next thing that I want you to keep in mind is that visual content dominance. For example, if you want to post on Tiktok, Instagram, or Youtube, I highly recommend you to make your videos more appealing with some edits that will keep the users engaged in your videos. Now the metrics that I talked about are also very important. So I want you to encourage your audience at the end of every video to like and share and subscribe and all the things that can give you more cloud. It will help the algorithm know that you have a very engaging video and will continue to push the video to many more. Last but not least is that you have to keep your content consistent. You always need to post it frequent and to let your audience know that you are there for them. This would also push the algorithm even further to let everyone know that you are a consistent Utuber or whatever social media you'd like to use and that you are interested in the platform, they are interested in you, they'll continue to give you more followers, is like you're watching a series on Netflix. It's more engaging than a regular field. Just like some prerequisites, before creating your channel or start uploading on it, you have to think when I can post, what I want to post and how I'm going to keep my audience engaged. I recommend you do that on your PC. A document you can use it on like a folder where you're going to save your post to upload them later on the social media platform that you desire. You can always check on it and see if you're consistent and see if you're going to keep up with it. 5. 5 Advantages: Now let's quickly go over the advantages of having a social media content creator career instead of a traditional 95 job, for example. Now the first thing that got me into pursuing this career was the flexible schedule that I can file. Because you don't need to think about too much, you just work whenever you want. However it's better for you, you can work to 12:00 P.M. to 03:00 A.M. That's one of the greatest things that I find in this career. When I talk about this topic with different people, they always mention that it would be a great advantage for them to have a flexible schedule. The advantage by being a content creator is that it is a very low entry thing. All you need is just a camera or a screen recorder if you don't want to, depends on the content that you want to do. But generally, it's pretty inexpensive. If you already have a phone or a computer that you're watching this course, you can already start to do it. The limit is your imagination, as I talked earlier with the creativity portion, because it all depends on what you want to. 6. 6 Disadvantages: Okay, now let me tell you about the disadvantages. Because I said earlier that's a low entry job. A lot of people are going to start using it and going to try to do it. It's going to be a really high competition, even on the big leagues, the big tubers like Mr. Beast and all that, they're also competing with each other. Even though they got a lot of sub, a lot of views, basically a lot of Youtube. They're also fighting each other to get more and more because this platform is very competitive and high demand. That's a thing that you're going to watch out for. That's why I encourage you to keep listening on this course because I'm going to teach more stuff that will help you destroy the competition. Now, another thing that I want to mention to you, because it's not really a disadvantage, but more of a warning and a thing that we have to keep in mind when you're going to do this is that you're going to encounter a lot of online hate criticism and trolling. This is very common even for small content creators. I want to let you know that is not a very big deal, it's just some words, you know, some people might not lack of content. And that's fine because at the end of the day, you want to find your audience that will be engaged with the videos. The only thing that those guys are helping you is to get you dalgaring. Go up. I say it's a win win for. 7. 7 Avoiding the mistakes that I made when I was a beginner and what to do if you are just starting: Hey, welcome back to the chapter seven of this course, and probably the most important chapter of all of this. I'm going to talk about the mistakes that I made as a beginner. How to avoid them. Basically what you need to do if you're just getting started with this. Now, the first thing that I want to mention to you is that you don't want to chase trends or anything like that. You have to create your own niche, your own audience that you got to keep entertained. Because the trend is always changing and you can't really make everything your content about that. The beauty of this is that you have a tight community that will be engaged in your type of content because that thing attracted them in the first place. You don't have to worry too much about the retention of your videos after a while because you'll always have those guys that will be entertained by content. Basically will apply the 80, 20 rule to your channel, which I'll talk about in a minute, but don't worry about that now. I want to also give a warning that if you want to do short form content for entertainment like those Tiktok post, you don't need to worry about that. Those are specifically made to follow the trend. What is the 80 20 rule? Well, the general equation of that is that 80% of the actions are caused by 20% of the reasons. Translating that to your channel is that 80% of your viewers come from 20% of total videos. I wanted to give you this explanation because it will help you understand that not every video that will post will be as engaging as some of the videos that will just pop off. You don't need to fill down or worry too much about some videos that are not getting that many likes or reviews as some others mentioning. That will come in straight to the next point. And that is don't expect big blow ups have in mind that after just a few days of starting to post on a platform, you're really going to see something like 100 K followers and 1 billion likes on a post. It doesn't work like that, you just need to have patients because when you make a great video, it will blow up. Simple as that. But not expected to go just after a few days of starting to post content is just like the 80, 20 year rule that I talked about earlier. If you got the patients and you will be consistent at some point. Extend that I want to talk about is that you don't have to stress over the analytics. Don't get me wrong, it's a very good metric, but you don't have to check it every day and just obsess it. It doesn't work like that and it won't very far, especially if you're in a mental health. Because you'll always compare to those good videos. If you got like minus three views on the last video and the second to last got more, you're going to bounce your head on and off of why you didn't work like that. I recommend you to check maximum one time per week. Last tip and the one that I want you to pay attention to is that you don't have to rush, make a content as good as you want it, because this is an art and you are the artist. Take the time and elevate your craft to deliver that you desire. Trust me, your audience will enjoy it more because it will come as more authentic and more desirable to watch. 8. 8 Tips that will help you: I know this will sound a bit weird because I told you earlier that you have to get a schedule. Well, you have to take into consideration both the schedule and how much it takes for you to create a video that you like. First thing that you want to do is to start to create a video that you will find enjoyable and you'll work hard enough for it. That means editing and all that stuff. After that, you'll have taken in consideration how much it took you to get to that point and try to make a schedule out of that, to choose what kind of content to upload on a platform. Well, the first thing that you need to do is to think about what you like to watch on that platform. So for example, if you like videos about cars on Youtube, you might start to consider uploading videos about cars on Youtube. Also, I don't know, maybe some tricks about driving, how to change the clutch on your car, or just drifting. I don't know. Be creative about it but have that place to start. Also a bonus tip. Think about the tube that you'd like to watch and think about what you would like them to upload. For example, if you have, let's say again on Youtube, a car guy that uploads a lot of videos on driving manual. But you're driving an automatic car, you want, you know, some tips that will help people driving better automatic. You can make that video after some time. For example, if you took that car idea as mentioned earlier, you'll see that in your community, in your audience will start to pop off people that are talking about cars for a surprise testing. Let's talk about goals and how to set them to help you better achieve your content creator career. You want to set goals that will be pretty ambitious, but not too high. Why is that? Because if you get the stakes too high, you'll probably go all out at the beginning and then just burn out. It's like those diet videos if you ever watched it. Some people go some crazy diet, like only eating meat if they like ate a lot of calories with just sugar. It doesn't work like that. They're just going to stick to it for like a week or two and then just go again to their own habits. The opposite is also true. You can set goals that are too low that will not keep you motivated to keep going. It's pretty as simple as that. If you're just starting on the Youtube for example, one K subscribers, it's a pretty reasonable goal for the beginning. After you reach that, go for five or ten K. But don't just start Youtube and then have in mind like, yeah, 1 million sounds in a week. Easy. 9. 9 Project: Summit session of the course. I want you to upload the first piece of content that you created after watching this course. Be sure to check it out twice so you can learn everything and have everything set in your mind clearly so you can do the best. I'll be sure to check everything that you applaud and I will give you feedback and help improve it, if necessary. 10. 10 Outro: Guys, this is the end of the course. I appreciate your patience and your time well spent here. I hope that I gave you a lot of value and I hope to see you in the next course. If you have any questions or need help, please contact me. I will be sure to answer everything and make everything clear so you can have a very great journey on your Youtube career.
