1. Intro.: A teacher here, the honest third own YouTube channel. This course is designed to help you grow your subscriber base and rank on YouTube. I'll show you step-by-step the reality of starting out and what's required to increase your success. If you're willing to put in the work possible to grow and rank on YouTube. You can either complete beginner. You don't even have to show your face to create success. I'll show you the methods and techniques I've used when creating my own YouTube channel seems to show you a video production as well as touch on SEO and marketing to promote your brand. It's gonna be a jetpack course. So you want to take notes, operator a star, and I'll see you on this. 2. Setting Up Basic YouTube Account.: Here we are on the YouTube homepage. We're going to start completely from scratch. If you already know how to create your own YouTube channel, you can skip this to the next lesson. But assuming you still need to learn how to get set up properly, I'll walk you step-by-step in this lesson to first create your own channel. It's a pretty straightforward process so quickly throughout this tutorial. The first thing you want to do is go up to the top right here and then click Sign in. I want to create an account if you don't have one, if you already do, you could use the same email address that you log in here with. If you want to start fresh, I recommend having a separate channel. Begin with. So you can categorize things much more easily from the gecko will create an account and you can do for myself. If you already have a business, you can do this year, but starting off, we'll do for myself. Personally, you put your first name here. Just put something here and email address. That's right. Click Next. I can put it wherever full numbers you have on you open in mind. Then once you get your code, you just punch it in. You can put your birthday here. If you want YouTube to track your information. We can put that, but we'll just skip this. Here's how they process your data and the term series you can agree. And click Continue, and then there you go. Now you've made a new account. Already logged in for you here. Here's our email. We created testing first colon and then now recreated our channel. Now we can always use this dashboard up here. Upload videos, you can go live. You can also go into studio here. This is where you'll create your channel name. You can upload any picture you like or level. Once that's done, we're now ready to click Create Channel. Now we're in where In studio? Continue. Upload videos here on the dashboard. There'll be the analytics. When you start posting videos, how well your videos do it quicker for content all the videos, you'll upload your own playlists. Analytics shop. You'll be here. This is also where you'll see your earnings from ad revenue once you monetize, it will be in this section over here. Comments anybody gives you. And as well as copyright. You've got music or something, someone flakes. Make sure your copyrights are taken care of. And there is your monetization. Notify. You want an eligible and click that. You'll need 10000 subscribers, 4 thousand hours watched. Once that's all fall. You can then apply for monetization. You also have to have two-step verification. We can do that later on, but right now, just click notify. Available or when I'm eligible to step is you have your phone. You can verify with your phone when you log in. That's also two-step as required. Come back here, put in your password, will turn on the two-step, will get a text message. You put it in your code, your code as before. Two steps on it, turn it on. Now we've got two-step verification active. We've got strikes. Put the goal. We are we'll get an email once were eligible to apply for monetization. We customize our local Walmart for subscribing and our pattern image. Go to our homepage. Basic info. You can also go into the Audio Library, free music and sound effects. For your videos. You can search different types of categories. Same with music. You check on the mood, genre. Like that. That's pretty much it. That's pretty much it basis for setting up your YouTube channel. And now we're ready to create a video and upload once we're done. Now that this first step stand, the next step is to start creating ideas. Brainstorming ways we can make a video. They'll do well on YouTube. I'll see you in that lesson. 3. Bringing Your Passion to the Market.: In this lesson, we're gonna take the number one step before uploading any video whatsoever. And that is the final mature passionate about. This should be the first thing you do before entering the film. But the reasons for this are many. First I'll say it's because it's something you can do effortlessly and it's something you do well. You don't even need to be top-level talent to do what it is you're passionate about with your own unique style and know-how alone. You can carve out your own market in the YouTube space. The second reason is when things get hard, which they will, you'll have an extra push to factor to get things done. When progress is a stance though, there may be times where you're not feeling the subscriber proof you want or the hours you need to be eligible for you to monetization can assure you if you find what you enjoy doing it, you're more likely to succeed and be able to do it for the long haul. Now, you could do it purely for the money, and it isn't impossible to become successful when a route. But the chances for that or not as high. Once you find what you're passionate about this and to see how well the market will receive your passionate ideas. Which leads me to point number two, that is to do your market research. Basically you want to see how popular your niches and see if a community of people are looking for the missing. One way to start is to look online and see the top rated niches for the year you're in. Currently as 2022. So I'll type 2022 and the search bar. What I stumbled upon, the top 50 to YouTube niches for 2021, which is close enough. And I got 52 niches to work with. Here's the list. You see here for 2021. Boxing to be number one. Which seems to be correct since people are seeing how new products look and feel from someone else's with me. Enjoy doing something similar. You can find products that are missing on YouTube which people are looking for. This applies to every other niche filter, such as how to videos all the way down to lifestyle advice. You want to take your own niche community that not many people are serving. By doing so, much better position to succeed with delivering content. People need and want. Then you might ask, how do you find exactly what people are looking for in the niche? Which we just point number three, keyword research. There are many tools online for keyword research, but I'll use YouTube search in Google ads as an example. You can type something, you could see what shows up on YouTube search bar. Let's see, you can have cochlea and you know how to help people lose weight. We know that many people are Peter and many people want to get in shape. So this is a good place to start. Search for something. Now, low calorie pizza. We see a list of search queries other people have made on YouTube. When we type low calorie pizza, it shows us what's popular in a natural looking at it. Once we click the first suggestion, will see a list of videos that admitted to the first page. Here we see him making 50 calorie pizza at the top. If you check out the other videos below and see what made them get the first page as well. Now you might be thinking, how can I make it there? It is. This market on assumed to be already taken, seems to be already curl people who've made some videos already. I'll look at my videos on top page alongside them. This is where you become creative. Maybe you won't get the same success as making a similar type of video. Or maybe you can make a video of that test back and you review the top YouTubers claims. Now you can record making the local repeated document how much calories actually comes out to. Maybe you do your own research and find the calories are much higher than the advertised on the YouTube videos. Maybe the top five are indeed correct with the calorie counting. Then you make a video to review the top five videos. Be Mythbusters for those looking healthy options online. As you can see, known as doing apparently, how nice it would be if somebody fed back chair for them. There's just one example out of millions of niches you could think of. Now that she's using YouTube to research the market. 0.1 step further is to use cuban planters like the one in Google ads. They're much more precise and provide actual data on how often people are looking for the term locale repeated. You can see if it's getting searches in the millions or in the hundreds. Gauge whether you still want to pursue target, niche if the market is still worth it. In the next lesson, we'll cover how to set up a Google Ads account so you can use the Keyword Planner. For now, the takeaway is that number one, we want to create a channel you're very passionate about. Number two is to do niche market research. Number three is two cube and research. Once you've identified these three things in a much better position to launch with clarity and focus. All necessary ingredients to attract success. And people do YouTube channel and turn right now to figure out what it is you want to do. Search online for different niches you're interested in. See whether if you type something, what you're looking for, you don't and you get poor results. There is your chance to enter with your own niche. You can come back here to the next lesson. But per the market with keyword research. 4. Using Keyword Research to Validate Market.: Now that you found what you're passionate about, It's time to do some keyword research. There's many tools you can use for this lesson. I'm going to show you how to use Google Ads Keyword Planner. I find it to work well and do better than most other keyword research tools out there. Plus, since Google and YouTube are the same company, you'll have much accurate data using this cute planner. So let's get started. First, you want to go to Google Ads.com. You can sign up with your Google account you've already created earlier. You see that Here's a Google account and we may need to make a new Google Ads account. Since you don't have one yet. You'll get to page like this. So just to find out what your main goal is, you can skip this for now. But in the future, you may want to use Google ads to promote your videos in your channel. You could set this up for now. But again, you don't have to pay anything and you don't have to run at right now, but you might want to do this. So basically in the future, should I use school that I want to get more brand awareness with video views? Since we don't have a video. We're just going to have to skip everything. Come back to that later. Just skip everything. You'll want to put down your country, your time zone. You'll also receive $600 credit. If you spend $600. So there's incentive there. You can turn up if you want. Now we don't need it. So tell me your information. So we'll say individual. You can put down your address here. Payment method. You have credit cards, card details, and you submit it. I don't want to put a phony name address here displayed, but once you submit everything, you'll get something that looks like this. This is on an actual account I have, but I'm not charged anything. So once you're in, you'll be able to access this button here, tools and settings. You'll see in the planning session the Keyword Planner, which is what we want to use. And you'll be taken to a page like this. We want to discover new keywords. If we type in low calorie pizza. We can now see the actual data of how many people on Google, YouTube look for this term. Can add in more countries, locations like Target, us, you can reach about 300 million people. You can add in more countries you like. But I find you'll do good with going with Canada and US. Canada, Europe, England. Places you like. What you start with that for now. You can use any key terms you want for your own niche. But this is just an example from the last lesson I showed you on starting up a niche. So checkout, how well locale. Repeat to those results. You'll see here. We look at our pizza. There's an average monthly search, about 6,600. People will look for this type, this term in Google or in YouTube per month. We can see the competition is pretty high for that. There's a lot of people putting these keywords in their videos gonna be taught to get in. We want to find something that has high search volume, low competition. Right here we see locale Peter, and it's got 9,900 searches per month. The competition is low. Not many people use these keywords in their YouTube videos. This is where you can enter. In the last lesson, I talked about how it can be a factor. After you're done creating your video, you can add in these keywords into your SEO, explaining the later lessons. But you can add into your SEO. You can also add it into your description box so that When people type that phrase here, your videos likely to show up highest on the YouTube search. When people type this out, this is low competition. Since there's about 9 thousand, almost 10 thousand people looking for is much higher than the 6 thousand we have here. For local pizza. There's your data. You can even click competition, so it's sorted from lowest to highest. You can see there's a low session and there's people searching Boston Pizza low calorie, but it's only ten searches a month, so you just keep scrolling down. Until you hit something. You see that this is probably the best way to get it. One thing I want to quickly mention here is that when I type in locale pizza to test out the Q research, I see you that this video is still at the top for only 50 car pizza. Keep scrolling down and everyone was tolerated. But you see here this girl locale protein pizza video. And you see that she's on top page, even though she's competing with people that wrote the full calorie keyword. She's still here on first page using locale. You don't see anybody else use were locale. Everyone else uses calories, calories. So she did the smart thing and use locale as we found with our keyword research. So that when people do even type in locale repeater, because she did so good with keywords that she ranked for. She's not ranking high. Calorie. Calorie now she's human first page on here. So that's the reason why you want to get the low hanging fruit. When it comes to your keyword research, I just thought I'd mentioned that very quickly. But there are other terms you could put in to go back up here, click the search bar and considered this pizza you can add in. Maybe, maybe people are searching for healthy pizza. Try that out. Click on keywords, so we go by our keywords again. You see there is people looking double the amount for healthy pizza. We want to find low competition, high search volume. We see here 720 searches for thin crust, pizza, healthier, and low competition. It's not that you generally as a beginner and want to find something that's at least 500. Searches. 39 is kind of pushing it, but around 500 and low competition as a complete beginner. And you want to serve these communities of people looking for these keywords. That's your low hanging fruit. You share in the B2B market space. 320. You could try to go for these ones are pretty low, but won't be fast growth. What Alicia reserving a decent amount of people in month 500 is definitely number to go to you as beginner. We see him in here, healthiest, dominant pizza, 180 searches a month, which is good and low competition. So now, when you do back checking, you can make another video. The second video, maybe you test the dominoes is really healthy. You check the box and there's people looking for it. Can be a fact checker online. So when people type this on YouTube, your video show up higher because you're doing all the research and then creating the video for, as well as the SEO. In a nutshell, that's how you use the Google Ads, Keyword Planner. Whatever niche you're in. You do the same thing here, which is using the search bar for keywords. Get your results here and you compile everything into your own Excel worksheet or anything like that. You can even select all your keywords here and download this file as a CSV or Google Sheets or Excel. So here, we've got that downloaded. Now we can open it up. We see here the same keywords we just looked at for local repeater searches per month. The competition 97 is high, 100 is high. This is low, as we see here. There's your competition. You have all that data there. You can download and glue on charging. To do this, the only start charging you when you start running ads, which is what we'll do in a later section, but you don't want to run ads at all. You don't have to pay for any of this. This is a very cool working with YouTube to use the Google Keyword Planner. So that now all set up, we're now ready for the next step, which is to create a content. I'll show you what types of tools you can use. And we'll go from there. Cameras you can record with, as well as which types of software used to video edit and do photo editing. I'll see you in the next lesson. 5. Basic Tools Needed to Create Videos.: In this lesson, we'll go over the basic setup you'll need to start creating videos. There are many ways to go about creating content for YouTube. And it isn't a requirement to use a camera. You could make YouTube videos using slideshows with Photoshop or PowerPoint. But nowadays everyone has accounted with them at all times, which is our smartphone. Most smartphones these days have good quality video to record with. Maslow. Use what you've already got with your videos. I should. I use a smartphone. You can see my YouTube channel, the video quality that's on there. Pretty good, right? Smartphone. Here's a list of tangent. I mentioned smartphones and using Photoshop or PowerPoint. Now we need a video editing tool. I use Adobe Premiere Rush speaking are friendly and does a decent job. Of course, all these programs are free, so you'll have to pay a monthly or yearly subscription to use these programs. There are free tools out there, but I'm very cautious because they usually come packaged with malware or spyware. You'll have to make sure you know what you're signing up for when you go for it. That's all you really need. We've got all the necessary tools we need to start pulling content. Now, as a complete beginner, you can see how it's possible to get started creating your own YouTube channel. Assuming now you've thought of your own passion to bring to the market is time to start recording, care out there and start making videos. 12 pi out is if you want full-screen for your YouTube videos, make sure to turn your phone sideways and record like that. That way you'll get full screen resolution for YouTube videos. Once you're done, you're not ready to edit your videos. You could skip editing altogether if you want, but a fine editing videos to make things a bit more interesting. If you decided to use Premiere Rush, the next lesson will be a quick tutorial on how to use it. I'll even link where you can find that in the bonus section of this course, you can follow along. 6. Video Editing, Stock Videos, & Screen Record.: Now that you've recorded your first video is time to use a video editor. This lesson, you'll also learn how to find free quality stock videos. As always, how to use a screen recording. Of course, these are optional as well. But if you need tools like this, they'll come in handy. First. We'll cover video editing. You want to take the video, you record it from your phone or camera, and transfer it into your computer document. The fascial answer, we can now open them up in a video editor such as Premiere, Rush. To download, Premiere Rush, click the link in the bonus section. It'll take you to the Adobe homepage. We can download the program. After you've done that, you can come back to this lesson to follow along. It'll also need to set up an Adobe Cloud account. Quickly show you how to do that. Here we are at Adobe login page. First, you want to create an account. So click create account. You can log in with Google or Facebook or Apple. But if you don't want to go that route, you can type in your own e-mail. My e-mail address, first name, password, and then you create the account. Once your ear, once you log in, you'll be taken to a page like this. Here is where you can download Photoshop and Premiere Rush here and we can see if we go to photo, we can free trial here. Also. You don't have to pay right away since you can start the pretrial. Click here and see about seven days. Pretty sharp. And there's 2799 a month. Then we have video here. We have Premiere Rush. So those are the two things you want to purchase. Here's where all the apps are. This is where you'll install Photoshop as well as Premiere Rush. And you can open it from here. Open for Premiere Rush. Here you'll be taken to a page like this. This is where you'll have all your saved files for your video. Whether you have to do is create a new project. You just go to wherever, file your videos in. So if you place in documents in, go there. If you place it in a video, click on a video we made earlier, and then choose the following one. And now you hit Create. Bring the file in. Premiere Rush for you to edit. Here it is. We brought in the file. We can hit Play to see how it looks. There you go. Videos point. It looks good. Now what we can do is we can add in graphics like texts. Give you a whole bunch of texts, you can use. That in something like this year. We want to call up close to the bottom left and add that in. Right here, it'll start to play the color. So with this, we can now move the callout, click once and drag it. Click this video clip here. And now we click and hold and we move the video clips. So I won't, even if real quick here on the color and we'll move it. Just press Control Z to undo. And then through move this column, you click color, clip here, and now you can move, it. Can type whatever you want here, double-click. If we go here, is where we can edit our font. You can pick up any forms. You can highlight your font. Pick something here, for example. There you go, font changes. Can change the color. Right here on the color wheel. Each section you can change the color form. Then you can hit this eyedropper tool. Copy and paste color like that. When you play it again, customer will tell you you cannot test transition graphics. So if you're going to transition into this, Texture, you can add something like this. Here. It will transition the text overlays. This we can add in your Subscribe buttons that are here. Did you use what you can do there? You can add more files by clicking that button. Media. You can add it. Any pictures or videos your life. That's all there. We can add more video clips. I'll show you next now, since we got this Basic Editor parts setup, the next thing I want to show you is how to find free videos stock and put it in here with your video editor. I'll show you that now. Here we are at free stock video website. The ones I like to use, our Pixabay, Pexels. Pixabay, you can search for anything you want, not the categories here. For video. Type that in. Following the example we did earlier with pizza health, we can look for videos on that. We see here. There's some free ones down here. These top ones here are prepaid video stock. As you see, it's a sponsor which is an ad. Free videos you can use. This one looks pretty good, so we'll click on that. Open it up and you see there's a free download. You can check out their license. It's free for commercial use, so you can use it for YouTube. You can be monetized without getting any copyright strikes. You don't have to attribute it, but it is nice if you do attributed with which they show you how to do, but you click Download MP4 file. This is the right size for YouTube. You can download. You can save it. Didn't take long video. And here's where you can also credit the author if you'd like. We have one here from Pixabay, check-out, some other brief stalk here. Pizza as well. Different types. The videos are here, you'd have to pay for. I stopped, but here is all three. Maybe we get something like this. Free download. Save. I find that the d is it takes a while to download videos, but if you can't find anything, that's another place you can go to. Paxos is a really good one. Go here. Videos. Something like this. Also shows you it's pretty use. You'll see the license pretty Hughes know attributional. You can click here to learn more about the license. Once you get all your files downloaded, we can open up, print a rushing. It will go up here to add media. Media. Since we downloaded it, be in the Downloads tab. Here's one of them. Repress add. There you go. There's our free stock video. We just add it in press play to check it out. Looking at so far, most of these won't come with audio, so you can add your own audio on top of it. But if you ever need to mute some, you can come back here at the audio. You can mute the audio or video clip to add in your own audio, voice-over stuff with that. But basically it is you can change the speed, how fast it moves much faster rate, Capacity forward. You can change that back to a 100. You can transition so you can resolve the next thing, that black-white. You can pan and zoom. So you can play around with the settings, see what you like. But it's pretty beginner friendly, easy to use. So not much explanation needed for that, but there you go. That's how you do your simple video editing. One last thing we'll cover is screen quarter. So if you ever need to record what you're doing on your screen, this is how you do it. Now here you can see on screen recording what says I'm visiting. So if you want to do something similar, you'll want to have a screen reporter called Open Broadcaster Software, which is OPS. Here you can see they have a download link for Windows and Mac. Linux. You can use Linux as well. Fairly simple to download. You can hit download here or for Windows. Once you click that, it'll automatically open the download options. It. Once that's all done, you can open the file installed to set it up. Once it's installed, you'll have something that looks like this. Here you can see I'm recording. This is the button you used to record. There's some things you do to set it up. Like you need to make sure that you have a scene here. You press Add the scene so we have seen one. Then you add something here which will be displayed capture. We already have that here. You go, Display Capture. Get a setup like that. So once that's all done, all you really need to set it up. Then you can just start recording. But it stopped. This will stop recording. We'll leave it as is for now. And then once you do it stopped record, your videos will automatically go to the video section in your document. So let us say hit Stop Recording. Now when you go look for the spot, your Documents section video, we can see that we have something similar to what we were just recording now because I had to stop on earlier. We'll take that, record it and we can now throw that into our premier rush. Here we're back in our premier rush and we'll add the file for the screen record resisted. It was in our video section. This was one of them. So we'll add that in. There it is. There's the one that we recorded. We press Play it also. The Screen Recorder will also capture audio as well. So do that, then you can just start recording. There we go. It's going. Of course, you could mute it. When you play the file. You can do voice-over with your own audio, which I'll show you how to do in a later lesson. But now we have all our video editing tools that we need to create our content. In this lesson, I showed you how to use a video editor tool like Adobe Premiere Rush. And where do you get stock videos for free and how to use the Screen Recorder. We could just tie everything together and export the file now, but there are a few things that you might want to do, such as maybe you still want to add in slideshows with PowerPoint or Photoshop. I'll show you how to do that. That all said, I'll see you in the next lesson. 7. Photo Editing, Slideshows, & Free Images.: In this lesson, we're gonna learn how to use Photoshop as well as PowerPoint to create our slideshow videos. How to find free stock pictures to use for videos, and how to create our thumbnails with white. I mentioned. First, I'm going to show you quickly how to use Photoshop. You can open it up right here, clicking open. Here we are now in Photoshop. We can create a new File. New. You can see here there are different dimensions, but YouTube is generally these actually 1920 pixels by 80. Hotel look like is the width 1920 pixels. There. You can click Create. Now when you get to this canvas here, these dimensions, anything you put in here will fit exactly into the YouTube video. Theorem or making a slideshow. We can use text and pictures for our slideshow. Here, quick tutorial. This is a move tool. You'll be using a lot. This right here. Type to type text. Move around so you press H or that icon, you can move around the Canvas and Zoom to be zed or this magnifying glass. Left-click to hold it out. Pull it back in. Your Zoom function. Here we got to paint. Want to cook. This first part will be the main painting US. We've got red. And you can click here. And paint will shop, which is pretty much the main things you're going to use to create your slideshows, but start with an example. Quicker too. Type Tool button. The cursor we can click, left-click. Drag and pull. Will have a textbox like this. Can't see anything, so we can go change the text size here. On this right side here. And if you don't have this, you don't have this canvas. Sarah, want to go to the top of the page, hip window. Press Enter. Then click Windows workspace. And you want to be in photography where you get these icons here. The layers search in this set. Once you do that and I can move tool, click on the text, a character, and you can space it out. Do auto, whichever number you want. Double-click to edit the text. We can write pizza, test run or anything you like for your slideshows. Here we'll just try pizza run. We can align it in the center. If you want to do the slideshow type of presentation, you can show this part first in the video and add different texts and images as you go. You'll have to export this as one file, Export, Export As we get this export print out before we confirmed. So you can put it in PNG JPEG, which is what we want. Gif, this is our dimensions. We want same dimensions. Put metadata if you want, but I'll just leave it. That is, it is good to press Export. Now we're going to create a saved file for it. Organized for new file. We'll just call it pizza slideshow. That's where it is. We can open type 01 and save. Next we can add more text. We go back here. Maybe be tied. To make low pizza. We can press V, which is the same thing here. Select, change the font. Suppose that changed, the color. Can change. We can make it bold, underline, italics. We can make that part the second part of our slideshow. So you just export it again. This time because now it's time to put in a picture so you can put it any picture you want. Anything. You take snapshots of what your camera or you can use the three-star pictures of their pictures to free our recommend Pixabay, Unsplash, petals. I've already shown you Pixabay and petals. They do video but also pictures. So that's a pretty good pictures there. An Unsplash is that's pretty good too. We can type up pizza. You get nice quality pictures here. Something like this. Here it says it's free. Check here. So it's free to use under the Unsplash license so you can check out the license. Consider that you can download here for free, click that. Save. It. Can also attribute to the author picture from. So that's good as well. Once you have your picture, we go back to Photoshop. We can go File Open. Go to the downloads. In here. We don't know this picture. So open that picture or pizza. Now we want to use this too, which is a marquee tool. Click that. Next, you want to drag and call the marquee tool across the whole picture. Now you see it's all selected. We can press Control and C to copy. Go to this tab and then Control V to paste. Then we go back to the move tool. We can click this with a picture and resize it by clicking and dragging the corners. Something like that. Then press Enter on the numerical pad. Go and we can export this as the third slideshow. There you go. Now we've got a simple slideshow we can make. Now go to Premiere Rush and turn these slideshows into a video. Just a quick note too, is if you're using a different video editor other than Premiere Rush. The same principles apply. If you're using Photoshop or PowerPoint. You can export things like taste into your own video editor is using same across all types of editing programs. If you use different video editor, you can still make slide shows like this. I just wanted to quickly mentioned that. Let's jump to Premiere Rush. Alright, so here we are in Premiere Rush. So we'll find those slideshows. Go to our media here. We'll add that in. Wherever you save your files, you'll just want to go there. For Photoshop it by default, it puts it into Creative Cloud. It's in the Cloud so you can use it doesn't use any of your space on your own personal hard drive. Here we are with our slideshow file. We said we had 123. Add those in. Now when we press Play, it'll turn into a slideshow. A quick tutorial on how to use Photoshop for your slideshow videos. Also, with these dimensions we made earlier by pixels being 1920 by 1080. These are also the exact dimensions you need. Decrease your thumbnails. So you can use the exact same page and you can rearrange your texts, videos, and create other forms of thumbnail artwork you want and export it the same way. You can upload that to YouTube channel as your thumbnail. Now that we use Photoshop, Let's jump over to PowerPoint. Show you similar tutorial on how to do the exact same thing. Here we are in Microsoft PowerPoint. And for the most part, it's pretty easy to set up, install this program. As I'm sure most of you are familiar with Windows, but just in case you get PowerPoint, you just go to Microsoft.com, search up Office 360 and mingle here too. Bye now. And you can go for their subscription plan here, monthly or yearly, and it includes Word Excel, PowerPoint and all this other stuff. That's how you do that. You just purchase it, download, and then you can install. Then you'd be able to access PowerPoint. Now once you click here to add in a title. Just like the same example. We could use pizza as the first slideshow. And we can drag this here. Move this up a bit. This won't show up because it's pre template. So it won't show up in our export. So we can go File Export. If you go to change file type and save it as a JPEG export, Save As just create a folder. So no PowerPoint U2. Just like 401. We can export all slides, but since we have one, we'll just do this one. Next. We can write here per calorie. Move this over here, export. We just do this one. Since we already explored the other one. We can add in that picture so we can insert picture. Let me add that pizza here. Resize it. Same thing with password. Now when we go back into Premiere Rush, we can add in the file that we export it from PowerPoint ladder media. It was in our document. There we go, three slideshows. And when you press Play, exactly like how we did for our PowerPoint. As you see here. In this lesson, you'll learn how to use photoshop and PowerPoint to create your slideshows. You learned where to get free stock images. You also know the dimensions you need to create your thumbnails for your YouTube video. Now, since this example video we're making here doesn't have any audio. We're going to do that in the next lesson. And I'll show you a free tool you can use to record voice, as well as where to get your audio for free without any copyright. You in the next lesson. 8. Audio Record + Copyright Free Music Library.: This lesson, I'll show you audio recording tools. You can use the add to your video content. The first thing you'll want to have a microphone. You could use something like this, which is just regular earbuds with the Mic attached to it. Anything that is decent quality microphone you can use. Once you have your mic, you're now ready to download the software to record your voice in. Here. The tool I recommend using is Audacity. It's free and open source. Also can use it for commercial use. It's easy to download and easy to install. You can click the download button here or here. This page in Windows, you can click here. It'll automatically open the file you need to download. You can just save download. Once you've done that installed everything, you'll get something that looks like this. Here, which is the audacity according page. This is where you'll record and you can play back your voice-over. Also want to make sure that your microphone is on Windows. If you have a secondary recording tool, DNP, you audio too. You want to make sure the microphone is set to a high-level. Capture your voice. That all set up, we're now ready to record. It's fairly straightforward. The person record button. You'll see that recording right now. So I'll play this back pretty soon here. You'll see that there is the sound waves here point as time goes by. That's how we record. Here. We can stop that. You hold control to zoom in and use a scroll key. The most growth to zoom in and out. To make this easier, I like to open this menu and going to waveform decibels. You can select pieces of voice, coughing or something that you can delete it. You can delete extra cats dispersed, select the area you need to delete. Delete, delete on the keyboard. You can play it back. Once I press Play, you'll see that recording right now. So I'll play this back pretty soon here. There you go. One thing I like to do usually is get a sound bit or silent. So here, I like to reduce any background noise. Do that, I'll select a silent part of the clip. Click Effect. Noise Reduction knowledge profile. Take that seven profile and that should match it with the rest of the clip. Then press Control a, or you can select all of it. Go back to noise reduction. Settings is pretty good, pretty good. Background noise reduction. So something similar, 20 decibels. But it's up to you. You can play around with the values. I find this works. So you can see it kind of cleaned up some harsh areas around here. Just going to press OK. Once that's done, we're ready to export File, Export As MP3. Here I can just call this Test audio MP3 file that we just save it. Now we can open up our premier rush and add the audio file into their we'll do that now. Here we are in rush. We'll add our file. Usually saves in documents under Audacity. Want to hold their test audio that we see now the test audio is in here. So that's good. So we're just going to consider that recording right now. There you go. That's in we have our audio here. Voiceover. I showed you in a lesson earlier how to get free music. You'll go back to your channel. And once you go here, click the top right, go on to YouTube studio. Just scroll down to Audio Library where you can get free music down factor as well. I'll just pick a random genre. Electronic hip hop's good. You can play the audio track, so I'll say the mood happy here. And you press your download it. Download that in. Come back in here to rush. We go to we downloaded it. Promoting events that move that under voice-overs. We can see here the sound waves is pretty high for that, so we'll check the audio. Usually our volume fixes that. Music. I like to put it around 20, range 25. Pretty good. Doesn't drown out the voice. So if we play it, you'll see that. Right now. That's sounds good. It looks good. There is your audio files. You can throw in now and get for free for your video content. That about sums it up. This lesson you learned which free software you can use for recording audio and music in use, as well as sound effects. You can get your video content. In the next lesson, we're going to throw this altogether and render this video. You have a piece of content now you can upload onto YouTube. And I'll also show you some SEO things you want to keep in mind while you upload this to YouTube, because that will also matter as well. Rank on YouTube. I'll see you in the next lesson. 9. Rendering Videos & Ranking with SEO.: This lesson, we're now going to render video so we can upload it onto YouTube. In order to do that, there is a Share button here. Click that. This is where you'll want to use SEO. Type out your file name. When I showed you earlier about keyword research, you want to include those keywords you found that people are not serving into this body. For example, you write something like Cal pizza. Then you can add in a few other keywords like healthier options, something like that. And think of any keyword you can put in. And you want to place it in there, which will help you rank on YouTube. Once you've done that, you can continue. Press Enter yet the MP4 file attached to it. Then we can export. Then you just wait until the rendering is all done. We'll come back here when it's all finished. Here the render is all done. We can click Done to confirm. Then. Now when we up our YouTube channel, you can go up here to our YouTube Studio. Then we can click here, upload video. Here's the father render from Premiere Rush. Open. Thing here is you want to use a catchy title while throwing in the keywords that you want to write for something like healthier options. Welcome Peter is Q as we want to include. And this is just filler word, which makes our title makes sense. You can write something catchy like something like locale Peter, healthier options factor. So I mentioned earlier you can be a fact checker. You'd rank for these keywords. Then you can put down the description you want. Also important here to use similar keywords and make it bigger description so that YouTube algorithm will help make it video. If you have people who have been following the keywords, you can also type in calorie since people are typing that up as well. Because you also add to the keywords from CAL, so your staff in your keywords. But you're making it pleasant to read. So people will think it's just stuffing keywords and it's difficult to read. So you want to keep that in mind as well. You can go type something like this. W pretty good to start off with your SEO. You could add more if you like, which is much preferable. But for now, that'll do. Here is where you can upload your thumbnail. If you want to add custom thumbnail, you have to verify your phone number. So very simple process to do. Just click Verify and just add a new number. And once you verify everything you're able to add in your thumbnails. No problem. I showed you earlier in the following section how to get the dimensions right. Same setup there you use, which will match perfectly with YouTube thumbnail. Maybe kids are not usually knows the answer unless you make, you can click More here. And here's where you want to add in more SEO tags. You can type in stuff like low cal, pizza, low calorie, go up to 500 keywords. So that when people search for things on YouTube, if you have what they're looking for. Appraisal help you break the YouTube algorithm. You can start to languages. Location, chooses options. If you buy. Pretty simple to over categories, you can choose your. Once you've done that, you can go next. Cards and screens. Usually. You'll want to start adding those in when you have more videos, but they're very easy to do. If you just click Add, it'll just prompt you to how you want to go about it. Very simple to follow. We'll skip that and go Next. Here's where it'll check for copyright issues. There's none found since I'm not pointing anyone's music or anyone's copyright, I'm using all open source material because it was my own material, so I have no issues there. Next, unlisted or public? Unlisted, but once you go public, publish, it's live. That's how you do it there. You can also do unless if you want to, make sure you do your copyright chest, typically let them finish a longer video. I'll just leave it as unlisted and save. Here's a link you can share your video with the people you know. Or if you want to market your YouTube channel. Then we see a few quick content piece of content here. There you go. You've now successfully uploaded your first video. You've got SEO to help you rank, as well as the tags here as well, which you can add more, and also your file name to write with FeO. So when people search for keywords, if your video is most likely to pop up, you want to make sure that your content is fire. Because if you do all the SEO in the world, nothing is going to fix terrible content. So you want to make sure you're getting value and making it worthwhile for people to watch your video haunted. That's what's going to keep your video up. Top page. It's easy to be found. And I'll even go through some case studies including my channel show you how I got started. Hi competition area. There you go. I know how to upload your videos using SEO. Help you get to top page in the next lesson. Now going to go over marketing. So this is how you're going to promote your brand. You channel to maximum effect. So that when you tube starts putting your video in front of yours, you provided by times ten, you get the most amount of views as possible to keep your video and your channels the best shot possible to start ranking well. In the next lesson, where we do marketing. 10. Marketing Your YouTube Channel.: In this lesson, we're going to talk about marketing. The freeways to market, the best ways to do that, as well as how to do pay that. Free marketing is pretty simple. Just go to your content. You go here to the options and get a shareable link. Once you do that, you can send your link to your friends or family to go and watch your YouTube video. Here, if you paste this in, it looks something like this. That'll be the link people use that you share with decimals. Easiest way to do free. Another way to do free is to use other platforms Is Pinterest, Reddit, Quora, those to just name a few. I find if you're in a community already where you're pretty active, anything that you can help other people with to lead them to your video you can post. Usually that's okay. But I would suggest if you're complete stranger to the sub forms here, you probably shouldn't wish at time posting because you're just going to your post moved very quickly from moderators. So you could use Reddit Pinterest I find to be the best. Post your video into other people that aren't always on YouTube. So you can go in here and create your pins. Pitchers has no problem allowing you to send people back out of this website to your video YouTube channel. Pinterest, I think is the best for free. Cora is a little bit better than read it, but not as good as Pinterest because people might remove your posts. If somebody gets a little bit sour for you posting on link on there, but it does a little bit better than Reddit. So you can try out any questions people have. You can answer them and share your video. Hopefully that adds value to the person so your video stays on there. You can use many more different platforms out there. This is just to name a few. So anything you can think of, try it out. That's free. I just want to use a tip. When you're doing three marketing. What to post and what to avoid is probably the worst to post it, but there's f of three. So now we can move into paid ads, which is going to ten times your video exposure. And I'll show you that right now. What we can do is we can take our rendered video. We made, and we can mark it on Google ads. Now there are different species you can use. Yahoo, microsoft, me personally, I like to use globalized from time to time. Really simple to do. This. They're placing ads, which you can do is go here to workspace homepage. You can make it a new campaign clock that once you're in, you can pick what type of campaign going for. So if you have products, you can sell your website traffic. If you just click on one of these universities starting out, you're not really going to tell courses. Just click brand awareness and reach. We're not creating a website here. I'll go back to the video. You can click Campaign subtype. This is the one I'd recommend view which campaign? You probably don't want to do non-scalable for your ad. Because even if it's 15 seconds, people really remember what they watched. So it's better to just do your full AD minute or so. It maybe a little less for you. That's clear. Then you can give it a name. Pizza run, CPM. It's kinda just locked in. You can read it. Cost per thousand impressions, each thousand people, how much it will cost. That's how you track your data. And you'll have to put in the start and end date. How much you want to spend the math camp in total. Just want to spend one. Doesn't matter how many days. And you can also select countries here. The inventory type recommended is pretty good. Where do you want to add to show on YouTube? What type of channels? That's pretty good there. You can exclude where to put your ad. You can also add related videos. If you know a channel that's doing similar things as you type, what type of video you want your ads to show up on. An option. You can pick your demographics. My take on it is that when you first promoting your Channel. Good idea to select as many people you can target as possible for your ads. Because you're not really showing in the course. You just want brand awareness. In that case, I'll find everyone can view your channel. That's pretty good. But in the future when you're selling courses, you want to be very specific because there's a higher chance of most people will not sign up for your courses. So you want to spend your money on the people who are likely to sun appointed courses. And that's only when you're doing courses, that's when you become very specific. Maybe people who are within this age range, like what you're selling. Maybe everyone in this range would be interested with the household income, what you've got to offer. That also with selecting locations as well. Some places like Africa, Let's say, probably wouldn't buy a course on how to make locale repeater. Not many places in AP craft out, assume, serve pizza. Depending on your niche. You can adjust accordingly. Something like that. Just keep in mind only when you're selling courses, but in the beginning, you won't be selling courses. So just select as many categories as you can. That should be fine. Can put in your keywords. So something like that. Each keyword is separated by another space. That's three keywords, but you want to do it side-by-side. You can put in a comma. That also is three separate keywords. Keywords. When people are typing to these keywords, your ads are likely to show on other people's videos. Topic sought to. Probably, you can split every single one. Placements. You can also target specific channels or even videos you want to place your ad in. So if you have other competitors, you can search up their URL or the channel by typing in something here. I don't know who's competitiveness. For healthy. We can see there's some people here with YouTube channel name healthy. If they're making stuff on pizza, a healthy low sugar with Rina, you could at her. Then you'll be placing ads on her channel. That's one way to do it. Because a lot of viewers are going to Rena, let's say you get a little bit of share from Rena, your ad as well. This is where you add your YouTube video. Just go to your channel, pasted in. Shareable link. There you go, There's your video in. Now you can put in the same address again. And same address again. Give it a name. Only you will see in your campaigns. You can check out a preview of it. This will look like on mobile. Look like on a laptop TV. You could bid how much we're willing to pay per 1000 collects. There is no magic number here, though is constantly changing. People are always trying to outbid each other. Just take the number you're comfortable with. Per 1000 people, maybe willing to pay $20 per thousand people. Click on your ad. That's not bad. And then you just hit Create Campaign, which I'll talk. Once you're done, you will confirm and review the add here. Running. As time goes by, it looks something like this. You get a lot of impressions. If you do the skippable ads, they watch up 32nd count as a view. If I go here, I can see I've got 309 views. Only eight clicks, only eight people. The ad was about further, 309 views. So 309 people watched every 30 seconds of that, 2600 impressions. Well, so that's not bad. The View rate about 11.7%, that's pretty good. Cost worth it. My course, some exposure. Course. This will be worth it to once you hit your channel, some exposure. That's one way to market. So there you go. This lesson, we learned how to do re-marketing and the best way to promote that, as well as how to do paid marketing. In the next lesson, we'll look at some case studies and I'll show you how much I started from the very beginning. Wizard market. There you'll see some real life examples that you can model to create your own design. You start off with your own YouTube channel. I'll see you in the next lesson. 11. YouTube Case Studies: Grow Subs & Monetize.: In this lesson, we'll go over some case studies on YouTube that are doing well and how you can start and model them. I mentioned before that you don't have to show your face to be successful in YouTube. An example of that is picture fit, which has 1.1 million subscribers. And the content creator here, it never shows his face, just shows slideshows of animations. And he gets lots of views. 151000085 thousand person is doing pretty well. So you don't want to show your face on camera and you'd like having a little bit of privacy. This is what you can do. Taking another step, if you look at this channel called that little puff, this person uses the cat to do all their video content. Like I mentioned earlier about being a fact checker for healthy foods. This channel is more like a PAC Checker for YouTube hacks. If you've seen those hacks author on YouTube, this channel will show the cat testing out the hacks and approving or disapproving claim. So it's kind of fun journal, interesting subscribers and you don't have to show your face. Of course, you can always do the traditional way of recording yourself on camera, that as well too. But there are different ways to success, which I just wanted to show you. There's some ideas there. And then I'll quickly go over my channel. So basically, the video with the most views on my channel is actually the first one I ever created. Currently 63 thousand views. We'll take a quick look at it in the details. You can see that my title put in the most keywords possible I could use that people are looking for while trying to make it readable. For instance, if I see what people are looking for in the Keyword Planner on how to become a mechanic. If I were to search up to Canada and US, we're looking for this turns. You see here that there is an average search of 3 thousand people a month searching how to become a mechanic. And there's other longer string cures at how long does it take to become a mechanic? So I've used, it doesn't hand through these different types of longer strings. I have even used how to become a mechanic with no experience. So I added with no experience. Even though they weren't many people looking for it. 100 is not too bad. And at the time the competition was very low. And just to show you here, when I type that in, I was actually number one a week later after I posted my content here. And I put the keywords in my title, when I'm still number one on this page. Overtime when I try to see if my video showed up with these keywords just become a mechanic. Number two on the top page, and it's been there for awhile. But in the beginning, it was nowhere to be found. On this top page, I'd have to scroll down all the way down. I remember I wouldn't even find it. But after some time, because this is ranking here with the extra keywords. And it was top page here. And I was marketing it with friends and family and people I knew. And using the free platforms online, I was able to bring people back to this video link, which give this video a chance to be seen. And because it's good content, then slowly it started to rise. The other keyword which I wanted to bring forward, which is how to become a mechanic. Started to rank. And I'll see you somewhere in this section of the page, maybe second page, the third page. And over time they started jump up to page. If you watched the video, I don't even show my face. It's all slideshows. Just good knowledge that people are looking for. And that was not being done well at the time on YouTube. Because identity job of explaining how to get into the field. That's why my video we're hanging. That's something you can take for an example to use in your own channel. You also see here with the description I made a huge amount of descriptions with keywords in there. People are stepping up, college. People are typing. Things like typing on mechanic, experience, schooling. You get the idea. That's all crammed in there. And even my filename. All SEO. That helps to rank it high. And then once people view it, they liked it, it stays up there. The last thing I want to show about this is, you see, it doesn't really do well. My typical performance on my channel, but it brings in a lot of views. It's already brought in over half the subscribers. Decent amount of revenue to the total revenue since lifetime. It's about a 1000 bucks, which is not bad. The more you work on each channel at the content. For more people, more higher your ad revenue gets. Then also advise sticking to skippable ads. Skippable does not do well. I know from experience because I've seen revenue Trump for me by 50% for two months when I went to months not as capable. When I switch back everything that is capable. Backup times 50% more. Sticky to skippable, works the best. There you go. There's a case study on how to start as a beginner. And that's how you grow your subscriber base and get monetized on YouTube. Hope you enjoyed this course. I hope you learned a lot here. The next video will just be some bonus links you can checkout, need to download some apps or programs that all set. You're ready to start to channel, get out there and start creating. 12. Bonus Section.: So here's the bonus section. I'll include links for where you can get photo editing, video editing, and the audio editing tool. I'll even include my YouTube channel. You can check out. If you want to learn how to fix cars for free. You can check out my bio for other courses that I teach you if you're interested, be sure to check that up.
