About This Class
This course is a "How to" course. We will learn about how to say different phrases in everyday scenarios. Each video has one topic. All pinyin, Chinese characters, and English translations are provided.
This will be the course that you must watch if you want to learn real Chinese.
This course is for intermediate students and advanced students, who already have a basic foundation in Chinese, but still struggle to choose the right things to say in different situations.
This course will introduce 1200 plus new words.
Topics include:
- How to socialize with people
- What are the right things to say
- Vocabulary related to daily life
- Common idioms, phrases, slang, etc.
- Chinese culture

My name is Ruth Astro. I am a licensed mandarin teacher and have taught around 1000 students over the past 7 years.
During the course, I will make a personalized study plan, which would fit your goals and needs.
I gained scientific and efficient teaching methods from years of teaching experiences. I practiced my teaching techniques at Beijing Language and Culture University, one of China's most renowned universities for language teaching.
I am from Harbin, and I have a standard Mandarin accent. This is what you need for good pronunciation bases.
