My name is Fakhri and I am so excited to guide you through this fun and practical journey to start speaking German with more confidence. This course is designed especially for beginners, whether you are just starting out or you're somewhere around the A one level, maybe you are already studied some vocabulary or grammar, but when it comes time to actually speak your free, get nervous, don't know what to say. Don't worry, that's totally normal and the best way to overcome it practice repetition, speaking out loud, and even even just to yourself. In this class, we will focus on real life everyday speaking skill, things like how to introduce yourself, how to talk about your hobbies in daily life, how to pronounce turkey German sounds, and how to build simple, useful sentences step by step. Each lesson includes speaking and clear examples you can follow and repeat. So let's get started. 2. Lesson 2: Alphabets and Sounds: Willkommen Suz Vitin lection, welcome to Lesson two. In this lesson, we're going to cover the most important cells in German, the one that are tricky for many learners, and they make your speaking sound more natural when done right. Why pronunciation matters? Good pronunciation helps people understand you, even if your grammar isn't perfect. And when you feel confident saying words out loud, you're more likely to speak up and practice. 3. Lesson 2.1: Let's Start with Alphabets: So let's start with the alphabet in brief. German uses the same alphabet as English with a few extra letters and different sounds. For example, beginning with R, you should repeat after me, B, B, C, C, stressed, DH. Ha yt, YotJ YotNoPEpson Epson set set. Okay. So you should repeat after me or you can pause again the video and repeat the errors as much as you can in case you get it totally. You probably notice that J is pronounced as Y, Yanua Yanuan inited Janua. W is like V in English, like vasa it's not a vasa Vassar, you can say Vassar, but better to say vasa A at the end like vasa. In German should be pronounced as F. The sound is so fataFtaJanu, Vasa t fat. We have as well special sounds like ih sound. This one is very unique to German. It's soft and breathy like you are whispering. Try this, for example, nicht nicht Nish, Milo. Slow it down, then say it again and slow it down as much as you can. Nil Air in German, how do we say air? It's not like in Spanish, not like in English. It's more in the back of your throat, especially at the start of wt. Example, wt. You can say rot, rot, rot. Rot. Read and read and bring and bring bring and read and root. What? Read and bring in practice saying, for example, I read, G Deutsch. I read, Gan Dutch I talk, I like to talk or German. I like to speak German. For example, I read Gana Deutsch. Okay? So yet Numa dra umlaut. Mls like the dollar dotted letters, um loud, oh loud oh loud. These are modified vowel and they change the meaning of words. Here's how they sound. For example, like A, in bed bed bed. O loud is A, machine, Machin, girl, machine, Ohm loud like Oh, in burn, burn, her, her. Oh loud has no English match. Say say E, for example, while shaping your lips like an O. What we're going to do right now is just to brand your mouth like that. And say at the same time E, like, oh, Mud Uber. Oh. Okay, so loud is Oh, you should round your mouse and say at the same time A. Oh out but with E rounding mouse with E. Okay, Mud Uber. Okay. What we do now is quick practice, like repeat after me, M Machin Machin Shun, sound Modbuba. Try as much as you can to repeat these words in order to practice it well and to say it to get it at the end. So it's like a tongue practice. In the next video, we talk about sharps Okay. So let's uh 4. Lesson 2.2: Practicing Sounds: Sharp as right now. And double S. Strasse is street, sounds like a strong S, Strass Strasse street. ST at the beginning of the word sounds like strong Strasser SN here, the SS, the SS is strong Stras soft S, like you say SN have a Strasse These are easy but worth pinting to train your ear, okay? Speaking tab, exaggerate the sound when you practice. It helps your mouth, remember how to feel. I might silly, sound silly, but it works. Practice with me, for example, let's go through a mini drill, repeat each word out loud. I Shun Strasbpreen, Hurenmtenrot. I shunts uber as presion. Pe, not Sepe sprechen, Hurn machen, out. On nichch. Good job. If you're saying them Olo, you're already training your mouth and ears and that's real progress. To wrap up the next lesson, we build our first complete sentences in German. Super useful ones you can start using right away. Let's click next lesson and let's keep going. 5. The next lesson we'll look at common mistakes, learnings make when speaking and how to fix them. See you there. 9. Lesson 7: Avoiding Common Mistakes in Gemran Speaking: Welcome. Welcome to lesson seven. This lesson will go over some of the most common mistakes beginners make when speaking German and how to fix them quickly and easily. Don't worry mistakes are normal. The important part is learning from them. The first mistake is verb in the wrong position. German has very strict rule. The verb usually comes at the second and main sentences. So B spiel, Bad to say I Deutsch Lana Das st False. A correct gaze to say Ich Lana Deutsch. Nicht is as we see here, I Deutsch Lane Dass Zager Ich Deutsch. Adverb at the second position. Awesome questions, less to Deutsch, less to Deutsch. Are you learning German as an English Less to Deutsch. The verb in this case and the question is at the verb the first position. The verb in this case should be at the first position. The second mistake is forgetting articles like the das. Articles matter a lot in German. They tell you the gender and case of nouns. Many beginners say, for example, sorry, hunt instead of saying I hub Aenunt so here there is a missing non specific article which is inin as in masculine case. Inin accusative. It's very important to mention or to say hoist hot align on attic, okay? So as a tip, start learning now with the article from the beginning like Dre hunt, D cats dsp. Dre hunt is the dog, Di case, the cat, dspuch the book. As we see in German, the articles have different cases. It could be nominative, accusative, dative. That's why they are a very important to use and to learn. The third mistake is mixing up between Z and do. German has a formal and informal okU both are mean U. D is informal it is used for friends and family and Z is formal is used as strangers, older people, or teachers. Mixing these up can feel awkward. That's the vis dish do with people your age, or younger, you see with professionals, strangers or informal situations. The forced mistake is translating directly from English. Many German learners try to translate word for word, but German has its own sentence for Britain and structure. Example, if you want to say, I miss you in German, is not Ihamsa do. We know the verb means fermis in German. I can't see fames do because in this case, we have a specific case which is accusative. Each fames dish next is fames do does fulg. Learn full phrases, not just words that show you sound naturally. Okay? Fifth mistake is not speaking enough. The most the fifth mistake is not speaking enough. The biggest mistake not speaking at all. The most students say, many learners wait until they feel ready, but you get better by speaking, making mistakes, and trying again again and again. Speak out loud, repeat lessons, record yourself, talk to friends, tutors, or even your mirror. Where are the tips. The speaking part is the most important part in order to enhance improve your speaking skills in this language. Us quick recap, we see here are five common mistakes we covered. Verb not in second position, forgetting the article confusing between D and Z, translating word for word and avoiding speaking okay. Bona tip, make a list of mistakes you often make and review it before practicing. You'll be amazed how quickly you prove once you're aware of them. Wrap up. You're doing great mistakes are part of learning journey and now we are one step closer to speaking German with confidence. Our final lesson will go over your class project and how to keep practicing your speaking even after this course ends. See you there. 10. Lesson 8: Speaking Project and Next Steps : The final lesson, which is lesson eight is speaking project and next steps, HatzlhenGluck wung means congratulations. You made it to final lesson of this course. You have learned how to speak about yourself, your daily routine, your hobbies, and hold a basic conversation in German. Now it's time to put everything together in your class project. Your speaking project to task is simple and fun. Record the one to two minute video or audio about yourself, speaking in German. You can also write it out if you're not ready to record. What should you say? You can include a short self introduction name, country age, where you live, what you do, study or work. If you think from your daily routine, your hobbies and maybe even ask question at the end. Example, hello, Schiselna Spen Zach and Francis, Shia Alt and Scam Astem Lebanon, Swan Bairut and Abel Sarin, En tag stage Z A and G to Ab minus right side, es Lesgen on the film, do Wesmagan. So it's a very literal translation, English translation as in this example, you should record a video about yourself mentioning these terms and it's a good practice to master introducing yourself. Why this matter, this project helps you practice everything you've learned. It's also a great way to track your progress, build confidence, connect with other students in the class. You can post your video, audio or text version in the projects and resources section on this class. Final tips is don't aim for perfection, aim for progress, speak slowly and clearly use vocabulary, phrases from previous lessons, have fun with it. Okay. What's next? Keep practicing. Here's how practice speaking with friend or tor, watch your videos in German, repeat this course as often as needed. The more you speak, the more fluent and confident you become.
