1. Introduction: Welcome. Growing a brand
new Instagram account, these days feels
quite impossible. I remember when I first
started with Instagram, it was quite easy
to grow an account from zero to a few
thousand follows. But these days, when you
start a brand new account, it feels very difficult to get just your first
hundred follows. But over the years, I've learned a few
things that you actually have to do to guarantee that you are actually
going to build a good profile and
attract followers. So here are the things I want
to share with you guys in this course to help you get started with your own
Instagram account. So the first thing you're
going to learn is how to set up your niche and profile so that people
actually hit follow when they land on
your Instagram page. And you're also going to learn a practical approach to making effective content
that gets a lot of views without taking hours
to produce the content. And I'm actually
going to share with you guys how to properly use the right growth method to get your first few
hundred followers. And this is the actual method
I've been using on all of my accounts to get
them to the first 1,000 followers and beyond. And after that, I'm going
to give you a hands on task to apply these tips immediately and see
real time progress on your account without
wasting any time. So if you're ready to get started with your
Instagram account, or if you already have
an Instagram account, but you've been having some struggles
growing your account and getting some followers and getting some real
good engagement, then this is the
right course for you. So without wasting any time, let's get started with
the first lesson.
2. Optimize for Growth: Welcome. In this
video, I want to go over how to brand your account. So right now you
can see right here, I have this account
right here, GTScript. Now, this account is in the
motivation slash DisplN Nish. You can see right here, I
have a good looking logo. So for the logo, you
al always have to make sure that it's very
simple and clean. You don't need
anything complicated. Something very, very simple
that someone can recognize. And at the beginning, when you're just
getting started. So this course is
just a growth court. So at the beginning, when you're just growing
your account, don't try to promote anything,
try to sell anything. That's why you mess up your
account because people try to sell stuff and make money on the account when they do
not have any followers. So whenever somebody comes to your profile and they're
finding you for the first time, don't try to sell them something or try to push
something down their throat. Just focus on growing the account and building
the account up. So at the beginning, do not try to put any link in your bio, have a simple bio right here that talks about
what your page is about. So you can see right
here it's very simple. It says unfiltered discipline, and I have a code action which says follow to change your life. That's all that you need
when you're growing your account from zero
to over 1,000 followers. Just have a code action
asking people to follow. Then later on down the line, you can start promoting stuff. So when you're just getting
started with your account, make sure the username is
very simple and memorable. And for the logo, keep
it clean and simple. The bio the same thing. And right now, all you
have to do just make sure all your content looks
clean and branded. You can see I'm not having
too many things right here. It's just a black
background and some uds. Now, you can see that recently, I was testing out different
types of content right here. I was testing out
different types of content to see
what's going to work. But from my experiment, I can see that this new content is not performing very well. So if you see right
here, 11 likes, 22 likes, ten likes, 34 likes, 14 likes. But this brand new post
right here which I dropped, got over 139, like, so you can see I tested
out this new format, and I could see that
it's not working. So I reverted back
to the old format, and immediately I
got more engagement. So that's how you go about testing different
things on your profile. A lot of people like posting
random stuff on the profile. It makes the profile look
unprofessional and unclean. So that's the reason why a lot of people might come
to your profile. And might look at it and
might not like what they see and they're going to,
you know, just go away. They will not follow or they might even unfollow you because when I was posting some of
these posts right here, some people
unfollowed me because they didn't like the new format. But when I went back to
the old simple format of just black
background and a quote, my engagement went
up immediately. So when it comes to choosing a niche and branding
your Instagram account, you have to keep it very
simple and straightforward. You only need to focus
on a very few things. So the first thing
you need to focus on is the power of one. Only focus on one
specific sub niche. For example, you can create
an account around AI for designers rather than
just creating an account on AI because AI is
a very broad niche. So once you create a
very specific account, you become the go to
authority for that, you know, dedicated group of people who are interested
in that niche. So the second thing is
visual consistency. So you need to make sure
that you select, you know, a signature color palette or two primary phones that you
can use for all your content. So you can use the same colors, the same phones, the same, like, content style or
content format for all your posts so that your content is
instantly recognizable. Because if you go to
my Instagram profile, you can clearly tell
that all my posts look similar except the new content
that I was trying out, which didn't work by the way. So I'm just reverting to
the old style of content. So, finally, what I have to say is that you need
to keep in mind that optimizing your
profile is the bridge between discovery and
growth because it ensures that every
person who views your content can instantly
identify the value that you provide
and feels compelled to go ahead and follow
you on your profile. Every single person
who's going to follow you is most likely going
to visit your profile, look at what your page is about, look at your content, and that's when they're
going to follow you. So make sure that you optimize your profile the right way.
3. Posting Viral Content: Welcome. In this video, I want to show you guys
exactly how I created content at the beginning of this account right
here called GSCript, and that's how I have
over 49 posts and how I was able to grow this to over 1,000 followers within 30 days. So there are only two
very simple things that you have to pay attention to
when growing your account. The first thing is do
more of what works, and the second thing
is double down on that and avoid repeating
something that didn't work. So if you scroll down on
my account right here, you can see the type of content I've been uploading
for quite some time. So it doesn't matter what
you think is going to work. What matters is you testing out different content formats and seeing what people
actually want to see. And this is exactly what I do to create these
quotes right here. All I do is I go over to
the Instagram Explore page. So you can find the Instagram
Explore page right here. So this is the
Instagram Explore page, and what you can do is you can find content like
this right here. So you can find a
post like this. So you want to look at
the amount of views this post got and, you
know, the engagement. And if you notice that this
is a post that, you know, went viral and people like it, all you have to do is just get the quote and aplod
it to your profile. So it's very simple. If you come over here to
my Instagram account, let me show you guys. All you see is just
simple quotes right here. And where I'm getting
these quotes is from viral posts like these. So I'll find a video, like a video in the
background with a quote. Then I'll just get the quote and upload it without the video, and I'll do the same thing for other types of, you know, posts. Once I find a viral
post with a quote, all I have to do is
I take a screenshot. Right here. It's very simple. Take
a screenshot and go over to Char JBT
or Google Gemini. You want to upload
that image right here. It's very simple.
Upload the image. Once you upload the image, type in a prompt that
says extract text. That's it. And I can
add another image. So let's go ahead and
download this right here. Go ahead, download
that, go back here. Let's go upload the other image. Open. Extra text from both from both images. Okay, just like that,
first screenshot, we have the text, second
screenshot, have the text. All you have to do copy this, go over to canva.com. It's a free graphic
design tool that you can use to create
any type of content. Go ahead and add your
quote right there. It's like that. Line it on the mele, you know, duplicate this, go
to the second quart. Go ahead and test it
right there. Very simple. And just like that, we have
two posts just like that. Simple. That's exactly how I created all this content
right here on my account. And this works. I've tried
different types of content, different formats, and it
hasn't worked out well, so I'm just going to stick to doing this because
that's what's working. And it's very simple. It
doesn't have to be complicated. So what you can do is, you know, once you look at these posts, you go ahead and upload
them to your account. And if they perform very well, you can come over here to Char
GPT or any AI writing too. So for me, I'm using
Gemini and you can say, generate 1010 simloar quotes for my IG page about money, motivation,
and discipline. Keep them short and direct. Very simple. And once you do that,
ten more quotes for you, similar to these
quarts right here. And that's exactly
how you can use AI to come up with a bunch more, you know, content
that you can go ahead and upload on your accounts. You don't have to complicate the content creation process because this is what you have to do consistently to
grow your account. So yeah, if you make the content creation
process too complicated, you won't be able to
pause consistently, and it's going to be very
difficult for you guys to grow. So follow this same strategy of how to create content,
and trust me, once you follow exactly
what's working, you test out different types of content and stick
to what's working. Don't try to stick
to something that's been proven to fail or not
do very well on your page. Stick to what's working, and you will consistently get
views and profile visits. And if your profile is
set up the right way, people will definitely
follow your page.
4. Follower Growth Method: Welcome. In this video, I want to show you guys exactly how I was able to
grow this account to over 1,000 followers in the first 30 days of
creating the account. Now, it's very simple
and straightforward. It's nothing
complicated or fancy. You have to do is just
make sure you're engaging with people who are engaging with similar accounts to yours. So what I did is, I came over here to
Instagram, right? I chose a niche. I
set up my profile, I did my content research. I started uploading
content right here. I already showed
you guys how to do that in the previous video. So once you start
creating your content, your profile looks good. Now you know that
every time somebody visits your profile,
they'll know that, okay, this page is about this and they'll know whether or not it's worth it following the page. Once you do that, you
want to go over to Instagram and find other pages, bigger pages in your niche. So those are people posting similar type of
content to yours, but they have more
followers and more engagement and other good stuff. And you want to make a
list of those pages. So here's what I did right here. So you can see I made a list of those Instagram
accounts right here, do I close this
Anyway, never mind. So I made a list
of these Instagram accounts in my niche right here. You see IG accounts. Okay, so we have
an Instagram page that's posting similar
content to mine. So you can see right
here. Mainly, I'm focusing on rules because
at the beginning, when you're just
getting started, rules tend to get more
views than normal posts. But it's pretty much the
same thing. It's quotes. And if you come
over here, you can see the exact same thing.
It's quotes as well. So this page is a
page in my niche, but it's bigger, way bigger. It's got over 100,000 followers. So all you have to do is this, you want to come over here
to this page and you want to follow the people who are
engaging with the posts. So what you want to do
is you want to go to let me find a post that
has a good amount of. Let me just give
you a good example. You can click on any post
like this right here. So you want to go
to the comments, and the comments right here, you will see like normal
people commenting, and you will see other pages in the same niche commenting. So, for example, if you look at this page right here,
Hustlers Unite, this is a page with
over 192 k followers and it's posting
similar content. So you want to avoid
these types of pages. Focus on real people, just regular people like
this person right here. And what you want
to do is you want to go ahead and
follow this person. You can see I'm ready
following this person. So let's go to this person. Once you find this person, just go over here and follow them, and you want to
like the comment, do the same thing
with this person. Okay? Follow this person, like that comment to another
account, do the same thing. Find people who are
engaging with the content. So this person has over
1 million followers, so they're not likely to follow
us back, so ignore this. Find regular people who don't
have too many followers. Another million followers. Ignore that. 3,000, okay. Seems like a regular person. Like the comment, follow them
and continue doing this. So once you do this,
what's going to happen is that people are going to notice that you like the
comment and you follow them. So they're going to receive
two notifications from you. So once that happens, they're going to
check out your page. So they'll come over here, check out your page, and
they'll see that, Oh, your page is in the
similar niche as this other page that they
were liking and engaging on. So they're most likely to follow your page as well once
they see that you're posting similar content to the content that
they already like. So that's exactly how I've
been growing this account. So you can see right
here on Social Blade. So this is where
you get to track how your account is growing. So you can just come
over here and paste your user name JDScript. Is my user name right here? Once you press your username, you're going to
find your account, click on it, and
it's going to open up right here. You can
see all your starts. So if you scroll down,
you can see the amount of followers that I'm gaining and the amount of people
that I'm following. Now, after I reached
over 1,000 followers, I stopped doing
this consistently. But you can see right here, I'm getting like followers
every single day. I'm getting followers
every single day. But one thing you're going to
notice is that right here, I went from getting two, 12, 31 to ten, 25, 20, 37, 19. Then it went down again. Now, you notice that
during this period, when I was getting more
than ten followers, I was following a lot of people, more than 50 followers
every single day. On this day, I
followed over 140 620. So that's exactly how
you grow this account. You do the exact process
that I showed you guys. You go to similar accounts, go to the content, find the people who are
engaging with the content, find real people,
just a regular person like this, follow the page. And like the comment. Just like that, they'll receive two notifications from you. You like the comment,
and you followed them. They'll check out your page, and if they like what they see,
they're going to follow you. And that's exactly what
I've been doing right here. Now, the more you do this,
you can see right here. The more you do this, the more followers you're
going to gain. So in order for me to
grow this account to over 1,000 followers within
the first 30 days, I was doing this quite
aggressively at the beginning. Right now, you can see
I'm not doing this a lot. You can see I'm some days I'm barely even
following people. I usually use this
method to grow my account to the
first 1,000 followers. And if you can do that within your first 30 days to 60 days, that's a good period
of time to do it. So at the beginning, I
would advise you to follow at least 100 people
every single day until you reach 1,000 followers. So if you follow 100
people every day, you will gain anywhere
20-30 followers every day. So that's exactly how you grow a page from scratch,
0-1 thousand followers. Growing Instagram account,
these days is actually quite hard compared to how it
was a few years ago. That's the reason why
at the beginning, for your first 1,000 followers, you need to use this method. Now, the good thing
about this method is that these people
who are following your page are actually going to be highly engaged followers. Because these people
are actually engaging with accounts that are posting
similar content to yours. These are not just random
people on the Internet. These are people who are already liking the type of
content that you applaud. So once you follow
these people, you will definitely get a good
amount of engagement. You can see right here, I have about 5% engagement
rate on my page. So that's pretty decent. So that's exactly how
you grow your account from zero to your
first 1,000 followers.
5. Class Project: Okay, congrats for
completing this course, and now I want you guys to go ahead and complete
your class project. So your class project is simply the steps that you
have to take to make sure that you're actually
putting everything that you've learned in this
course into practice. So here are the steps that you're going to
have to take, guys. So for the class
project, the first thing you're going to have to do
is optimize your profile. So just make sure you
go ahead and create a good looking profile to convert profile
visitors into follows. So once you do that,
you're going to need to find competitors in your niche. So these are simply big
accounts in your niche that are posting the same type of content that you are posting. So find big accounts
in your niche, and you want to follow
the people who are commenting on their
recent posts. Let's say you find
a big account in your niche with over
100,000 follows, you want to go to the
most recent post, click on it, go to
everyone who's commented. Like that comment and
follow that person. And what they're
going to do is they actually check out your page
and follow you back too. So once you do this,
you want to make sure that you are doing
this every single day. So you want to be consistent. So consistency is key
to growth on Instagram. So in order for this to work, for you, you have
to do it daily. Yeah, like every single day. So at the beginning, I would
say, start with following, let's say, 20 people today, 20 people the next day, 30 people, 40 people, then bring it up to at
least 50 to hundred people every single day
at the beginning. That's exactly
what I did to grow my account to over 1,000 followers within
the first 30 days. So I was following 50 to hundred
people every single day, consistently doing
this exact method. So just keep in mind that none of this is going to
work if your content is bad because a perfectly
optimized profile can only invite people in, but high quality value is the only thing that actually makes them stay on your page. So if your page is well
optimized, it looks good. People will look
at your page and they'll like the way it looks
and they'll follow you. But to keep those followers, you need to put
out good content, high quality, valuable content. That's the only way you're
going to consistently grow your account and keep a high
engagement on your profile. So all you have to do now
is create your profile, take the steps I showed
you guys to follow people. You will get engagement. You will get, you know,
likes and followers. But in order to consistently
grow your account, you need to make sure that
the content that you're ploding is really good
and valuable to people. So always test out
different type of formats. And if something's not working, you know, don't stick
to it for too long. Once you find something
that's working, stick to that thing and
work on improving it, and eventually you will
grow your account. To over 1,000 followers, 2000 followers,
10,000 followers, and so on and so forth. So take steps, the right steps that you need
