1. Introduction to drawing face: Hi friends and welcome to a new Skillshare class. My name is Ally mosquitoes straighter and watercolor is from 2020. I'm an artist teacher. In today's class, I want to propose you to draw the heads in three different ways. In this class, I want to share with you different types of heads, how to has to be drawn. And as well, each part of the face, how should we correctly on our face? I think that the class is super easy. One It's a step-by-step guide where I explained all in detail near the sizes of the face and the sizes of each part of the fix. So let's get started. 2. Drawing head, part 1: This class on Patreon, I decided that that will be a learning class. It won't have specific or a final chewing. It is all about practicing. And in today's video, I want to share with you how to draw the head, the face in different ways. And then I will show you as well how to draw specifically e.g. eyes, nose, ears, and mouth. So let's get started with the easiest way to start drawing the head is that we are drawing the head in the form of ethnic More or less. Okay. I see that it is not seen clearly. I took a Griffiths soft is six B to draw it that you can see it. Well, we split the head into two sites. In the middle cents, more or less like this. We positioned here straight in the middle from one side and two on the other side. We positioned, place the eyeballs just above. Then here, this side of the head, we split it into five parts, 1,234.5, more or less like this. Those has to be equal. So mark off those equally more or less. On the second point will be the nose. And the mouth will be here, more or less. In this case, you just position correctly all the parts of the head of the, of the human hand. Actually, it differs from one person to another. So it is not always statical. I'm just showing you the basics. It will be more or less in the majority of the cases. But lately, I suppose that I will do as well videos where we will draw real people, not only from, from the static moments. And here we start to draw the mouth more or less, the nose. So we completed here and the ice. We have to pay attention that the eyes have to have here more or less the same size. So here we have the eyes and the hair. It starts all over here. And depending in this case it will be a woman. It has the hair going over the top of the head. More or less like this. The years, all the always with Joe, the years from here till the nose, the ears have this position. Always. Those are as large as from this part, from here till the nose. As I mentioned, every face you do will look slightly different. And don't stop with the one showing only, but give Joe different fixes just to see these. As parts of the head can move. And depending not all of the heads are equal, so not everyone will have the form of an egg of our, of our head. So I will, this is just the practice exercises and then we'll move on with the second option on how to draw the head. 3. How to draw head, part 2: The second way to the head construction is the double circle. And if we take e.g. a. Circle, draw it. Taken a reason. And I split it into two. And it has to mark we have to mark into five points, 1234, okay. I need to leave more space in between. So more or less here it will be the middle. So 1.2 and 3.4 here we have 1,234.5 here where it is the middle point will be the point a. Then we have the point B. Here. If we split this circle, we will have the point C. And then we split it more or less in the same size, d and e. D, e, and we have to draw a circle here. So more or less in-between the C and D, we will have an f here. This will be the middle of the of our circle. So more or less we need another dot here and we create this second circle. Now what I will do, I will slightly join these two circles. And we'll create this phase again, the same as the first, except this is not a perfect and real phase. It is just about the basics that you understand how to split the drawing and to do it correctly. Here I will have another line that will be from G to cover this. Here we will have the top of ice that will touch this line. If we move e.g. these lines here and here, we will see that we have one over here, one space here. And here we can start to draw the ice. On the top over here, we will have the nose. Then here in between the space F and D, we have the mouth. And obviously the hair. As my circle is not perfect. Obviously the lines won't be perfect either. And what I want to share over here that this is about practicing and understanding how it works. What it is really important that everyone, in every face. So we have, even if those faces are not really similar one to another, we have always to leave the distance in between the eyes, distance of an eye, then from the eye till, till our point here will be another artist. So more or less, our face is as large as five eyes, five sizes of an eye. The years always come from ice till the nodes. From the top of the eyes till the top of the nose. We always have this size of our ears in every person. So this factor you have just pay attention more. Is anything. Another important thing to consider every time that you are drawing a person is that here from our ions and still the nose, we have like an invisible triangle, always have to see it. And the distance in between is another. This has to be another another. And this one is another. Another important thing is that the distance from, from above, from where we have the bottom lips and the cheek line. We also have the size of an eye. So more or less withheld the same size everywhere. The size in between the nose and the mouth as well is an eye. You always have to consider those. And then we have here. Okay, I have jumped too many things over here. But from here, what is important is that you position correctly the eyes on your face, nose, and the mouth. The rest of the things you will adjust during process of drawing. And pay attention to the details always here. Now we will proceed with the Jovian eyes, the mouth, and nose. But before we proceed with this, what I want to mention is that if the previous two videos you've watched as an exercise for you, I would like you to ask to drop people around to your self. People that live with you in the house, or people that you watch, e.g. on Instagram or on the pictures, whatever. And try to draw that their faces by using one model or another. Just look which one fits better to the drawing or to the face that you want to draw and tried to replicate it. When we replicate a work, it helps us to improve always the drawing. 4. How to draw eyes: So now let's proceed with when drawing an aisle. First of all, we decide we divide the eye into two parts and we create like an over more or less without defining exactly how it will be. The upper side, bigger, make it smaller and the other side. Now, if we are looking into real, we will see that the real eyes not a novel form, but actually it is little bit slightly going up over here. And we will see that we can move it. So we have till here, more or less the line. I'm intensifying it. Then this side, it goes up. This is the reason that I have been drawing. So we see these kinds of effects. Our eye is more on the spot. Then we remove here this oval form. Because actually here we have a small beautiful form like things that create real. And then here below, show you with the pencil. We have a thinner line inside. With these, I define the thickness of the lower lid and I start to create the eyelashes here. Usually those with do not drop one-by-one with a show like several in one side. But just to show that we have eyelashes here. Then I decide on the altar years. And I have it like this. I do not see it. And I draw the inside part. She lived in red color, making it darker. Now. If I have made here inside the line to create the effect of that it has a deeper deafness. Then I will have to create as well the top fold of the eyelid over here. Depending on the eye, it can be thinner, smaller, and some of their eyes have bigger this side. So just look on the real eye that you are drawing. This is the case that the eye is open, but hopelessly there are cases that the eye can be slightly close. E.g. like these, we will see, we can see very few or the arteries. We will see this part of the eye bigger. The eyelashes will be on the other direction. Like a closed eye. Something like this. Okay. What do we have to consider that if we take the, how our eye is inside of ours, we have a circle, is a circle. And what we actually see is a very small part of it. We see here the eyelashes, eyelashes, and here we see the iris. Here we have the eye itself. Depending on this circle or how the eye is open and close, we will draw it, e.g. over here. We will have a circle. And the eye is actually on here because it is looking down. The rest of the parts of the eye is inside. In this case, more or less it will look like this. 5. How to draw mouth: But for the mouth, the mouth, it is something that as well it is different from person to person. The only thing that it is always similar is that we have with the same line that we will have to be guarded of all these, the middle line of our mouth is always going more or less here. Below. And here we just adjust. We just adjust by this length. How big, earthy smell. Sometimes we have really small mouth here and bigger here or even smaller. Sometimes you can have it, something like this. But as a reference, always will be this inside line. This is when the mouth is closed. Obviously. It's a e.g. let me show you here another type of mouth. The mouth is bigger enough. And as well pay attention that the form of our mouth, hello above is always more or less the same, even if the size of the mouth is different. Some body heads, bigger mouth is somebody has smaller ones. Here are the top part is always the same and the below one is also very similar. More of the mouth is do not have the calibration that over here, but there are some that. So here you have to pay attention. This can be slightly different. Not always. It is round. Sometimes it has like deeper line that you can go. And I have drawn it like this. But actually, to create the depth, we always need to go and create the lines in order to create volume. Because we know that our mouth has volume and we have to create those in like a sphere or the shoulder here. Marie, moving slightly, the intensity, create the home. The idea is not about the highlight is just showing the mouth. But as I mentioned, always we have to follow the drawing along to this slide. What if the mouth is open, okay, Then we have to take into account how is open this? And we will have to draw as well the teeth. In this case I want to draw back first. This line always go down. Even if it looks like the person is smiling. And we have the mouth. And recolor. This type of move. Here we have the teeth and drawing those, but it is not necessarily the same as for the eyes. I advise you to start doing drawing real people, real mouses, and analyze how different is moved from one from another. When they always would think that those look the same. And we usually when we were kids, we were drawing those like this moles. Then we see that there is more than that. We have to pay attention to this middle line that we have to pay attention to the hollow above the mouth. We have to see if there is a depression over here. We have to pay attention of the form of the mouth, how it goes, and how we create the depth, and so on and so forth. 6. How to draw nose: In practice, you will see that when we create, when we Jordan nose, nose construction, we're not drawing all nodes from the top above. Even only if their face is not drawn from the profile, then yes, we are drawing a line and created the nose as it is. But when we're drawing it in front, we usually avoid doing this. How we are drawing faces, actually, weak position the more or less where we have the eye, the nose, and mouth. But actually when we draw the real people, what we do, we pay attention where we have the darker sides of the shadows and we adjust the form by creating the highlights and the shadows. In this way, we understand the real size of this specific part of the face. If we are drawing and we still want to draw the nose, then we have for the nose, for each person like this. We have the breach, the ball, the tip where we have symptom nostril. Then here we have the form depending on the form of, for each of the number of nodes, we have more or less these kinds of form. Here we have more depth. This part is the nasal bone. And here we have the cartilage. Here we see all the risks, the most chill, and not sure if showing exactly what we see. We will have this looking like this. Here. We don't see any connection. I will remove it to the chicken, see it better. We have something like that. And instead I'm just drawn to show you that here it is dark enough and nostril is like this. But what we will do, we will create different types of noses and not the nose itself, not all of the side. But I will show you more different, different parts of the lower areas of the nose because if this part, it is the same more or less for everybody, then here it differs from each person. We have, e.g. this type of nose. The tip, and the ball is what we are usually used to see in the drawing here is not when drawing from when just imagining. It is the typical knows that we all know. And how the shadow falls apart. Here we have some shadow. Here we have some shadow. This part of the nose will be in the highlight. Here will be the shadow. Here will be very dark shadow. And depending on how the light is coming, e.g. the light is coming from this side. We will have some light link shadow here as well. Now I'm showing you exactly the lines, but actually in real Joe and I want to eat, I wanted to show the shadows. Then we have a beam flat when we cross the nostrils, e.g. imagine that these are nostrils. And here we have the nose. We don't have this tip to pronounce. She did. And we show here the shadow here to represent the beds, will show the shadow as well. This kind of noses you will still has, at least I have seen. Then we have e.g. here we are with was more or less like a drop. Then we have this part bigger than D1. We can have these kinds of sites like this. Or we can have a nose like this. Very pregnancy did here. But small here. This is when we are looking in front of the face, in front of us. How about showing knows when it is in profile? We have here the nose going till here, e.g. it is the mouth. But here the nostril is here. Sometimes we see the nostril very open and see it sometimes e.g. here we don't see it well preparedness, eating. But e.g. in this case, I'm drawing, knows I have the no stroke clearly seen. Some. So you're not always you want to see the nostril? Always. From the person? Sometimes, yes, sometimes no. Depending on the position of the nose. You'll see it more or less. We have here at this nostril. Same as with the previous exercises. I advice you to go and draw your teammates, your people with whom you are living, how they are noses are. 7. How to draw ears: And the last important detail of the face that so we always have to Joe and do not forget to do it is the, here I will show you how to draw the year from the profile. Usually we want to draw it from the profile. We will just have a look depending how will see it. And looking into the profile. Then we have e.g. like this shape, half oval. This will be the top heavy C-shape here. Then we have to consider that we have a pointing inside line like here. And then pointing outside line like here. Those do not meet with another. There is space in between. And then we have the shape. The shape is going like this. And it goes from here. And we see like this. And here depending on the year, we have the backline. And this connects with something like that. Let me draw it again without showing you too much into detail. So we have this line that goes inside and we actually create the depth of the ear. And then we have the going outside pointing outside line that we have here. And it connects exactly with the egoic shape. And we have it more or less like this. We also have to consider the shadows, how those are laying out. Here. We will see that the shadows that we see are usually over here, exactly straight on these lines. This is the reason that we call those ygroup shape, that shape and so on and so forth. Because here are the shadows that are layering on our years. Then we have the years that we can see from the front, from the back, center front. So it really depends, e.g. from the front, we can see like this more or less the year. We have the depth and we have it like Okay. So here will be your front. From front. If we are looking from back, then we have this like it's smallest. Here, we will have a shadow coming. Then this will be the same if front and semi front will be more like. We see this part here. It's more or less. This class came to an end and as I have already mentioned several times, is an exercise for you, will be that you try to draw faces and part of the pieces from the people that surround you. It will be a good exercise for you. Tried to draw different types of noses, the mouth, eyes, years and so on to people. The form of their head. Sometimes it's going to be this kind of hand. Sometimes in this way, sometimes you will see that it is slightly different and so on. Then on the next video, I will share with your winter landscape. But after the winter landscape, I will prepare real phase that we will draw together. We will analyze it together and to paint it in watercolors. But till then, just practice a little bit that you can feel comfortable with the drawing offer you'll face. So till the next time, Bye. 8. Final thoughts: Thank you for watching this class. I hope you enjoyed the drawing with me. And if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. I will be happy to respond to any questions you have. Thank you. And until the next time, Bye.
