1. Who am I + Class Brief: What's up, everybody, My name is, I'm a professional artist for more than ten years, specializing in traditional art as well as digital. You can see some of my favorite words. Doing deals. I managed to gain more than 900 thousand subscribers. Social media, when which I teach and showcase some of my best works. But enough about debt. In this tutorial, I'm going to teach you how to draw your favorite character with three steps. First, we've got the sketching process in which we learn how to draw the face and body using geometrical shapes and guidelines. In the second part of teach you how to ink your drawing. And finally, in the third stage, we're going to color the join using Copic markers or colored pencils. So without further ado, pick up your pencil down to business. 2. Sketching & Inking Naruto: Okay, So today we are going to draw an hour TO, they're going to start by drawing a perfect square. Each side is four centimeters, and this is going to be a free codas pose. We're going to start by drawing the shape of the face. Then we are going to cross it in the middle by using two curves. After that, we'll mark is the head bend. And then we'll add the eyes. So to draw the eyes will use for curves. As you can see, it's in the shape of a rhombus. Next we'll draw the eyelashes simply by adding some thickness, mainly to the eyelashes on top. Then we draw the iris and the pupil. At the far left. We want him to look directly at us. Next we'll add some wrinkles and the eyebrow. And now we can draw the left eye. So we're going to start with wrinkles, then draw the eyebrow. As you can see, it starts very thin and gets thicker towards the edge. Will again use four lines to create the eye. As you can see, the eye will appear bigger because of the angle. This time we'll place the iris and the pupil at the center but slightly to the left. And it will add more wrinkled right there. Awesome. Next, we'll draw the nose simply by drawing two lines and one tiny line for the nostril. Now we can draw the mouth and we'll do that by using free lines. As you can see, it goes down, up and down again. We'll draw the bottom lip. And then we'll use this curve to mark the color of his shirt. Next we want to draw the ears. So what we want to do is first draw the shape of the ear. And only after we are going to add the details. Next we'll add is sideburns and draw a rough shape of the bandanna. Now we'll add is metal plate just by drawing a rectangle. And we'll give some thickness to the side. We'll add three bolts on each side. And then we'll draw the lift symbol. Following these steps. Give it some thickness, of course. Awesome. Next we'll add now towards whiskers, free on each side. And now we'll draw the rest of the hair. So let's start by drawing some spikes on each side, simply by drawing two lines for each spike. And then we'll use this guideline to help us keep the right proportions for the rest of the spikes. Now we're just going to add the rest of the spikes again, two lines for each spike. And they want to make the white side and neat, wider. Just like that. Next we'll add spikes on the button. And don't forget about the bandana. Add in some more details. And we are done with the face. So now we can focus on the torso. First, I'm going to start by drawing the overall shape of the torso, and then we'll add the details. So as you can see, I draw the color than the zipper jacket. And now I'm drawing the shape of the feast. Basically what you want to do is now holding the fist directly at us. We'll add the rest of the arm. Close the torso right there, and then add is left arm. So as you can see now we've got the overall shape. Now we can add the details knowing that we got the right proportions. So we continue by refining the face. I'm going to add the knuckles. That will be Phonak goes of course. Then I'll use this guideline and from that point will create the fingers. Next we'll refine your knuckles. End of course, create the thumb simply by drawing for curved line. Would add the nail. And now we can refine the sleeve, just adding some details, adding decreases in the direction of the sleeve, of course. Next we'll add the details to the color, creating the puffiness of the color. Now we'll draw the zipper and then refine his left arm. As you can see. As you can see, his hand is inside the pocket. At some more details and quizzes for the jacket. And we are done with the sketching. Good job everybody. So the next step will be inking. What we want to do is take the inking pen. The size tip of the pen will be 0.1. However, I'm going to use 0.2. And we basically want to rotate the page, hold the pencil closer to the tip and just go all over the lines. Will do this by pushing lines of pulling lines. Like I said, I'm rotating the page so I can keep my natural hand movements. And for the facial features, you can even use 0.05. That's a slightly thinner line that will help you be more accurate while inking. Awesome. So once we are done with the inking process, will take the notorious charcoal eraser. And basically good read of all the lead. Makes sure to clean the lead very well because we don't want to smear the lead after when we use the Copic markers. Awesome, So now that it's clean, we can start the coloring process. 3. Coloring Naruto: Now you don't have to use Copic markers. You can use colored pencils. You can use other markers, or you can just use your HB and B pencils and do some shading for this tutorial, I'm going to use Copic markers. And if you look at your top left of the screen, you can see the exact number of copies I'll be using. I'm going to start by coloring the jacket. And I'll start with the brightest stone. I'm going to mark the most brightest areas. And for this joint, the main light source will come from the left side, which means of course that the left side will appear brighter because it gets more light. Next I'm going to use a midtone that's a slightly darker tone. And as you can see, I'm coloring in the direction of the shape. I'm doing that by pulling lines, are pushing lines. Next step will be used in an even darker tone. That will be our darkest tone for the most shaded areas, for example, is hand created a shade. The drops on this area. That's why it appears darker because it gets less light. Now what we want to do is blend the colors. So we'll use the midtone to blend the darkest tone. And we'll use the brightest stone to blend the mid-tone. As you can see, I'm starting with the brightest on blending it with the midtone. And then I'll use the midtone to blend the darkest tone. Awesome. Now we'll use some blues, just like before. I'm going to start with a brighter blue coloring in the direction of the shape. I'm going to repeat it a lot. Next step we'll be using the mid tones. After that, we'll use the darkest tone. And just like before, we'll blend the colors again using the midtone to blend the darkest tone, and using the brighter tone to blend the mid-tone. Sweet. Next step we'll be coloring the zipper. For that we're going to use some gray tones. Will again use three different tones of the same color, starting with the brightest than the mid tone. And finally the darker stone. And of course, we do some blending along the way through it. We're going to do the same technique for the color. As you can see, I'm carrying from side-to-side, but I'm leaving some blank areas. Those areas will be our highlighted areas. Then of course, we proceed with the same method. Awesome, and now we can focus on the skin colors. So we're going to color the fist. I'm going to start with the lightest tone. And just like before, I'm going to leave some blank areas at the top of the knuckles because they sticks out more, which means they get more light. And my apologies for not recording the bottom area. Don't worry, I'll fix it right away. Next I'm going to use the mid tone, just applying one more layer on the remaining blank areas. And then we'll use the darkest tone. And finally, I noticed that I didn't fully capture the fist. So here you go. And of course, reduce some blending to make it look smooth. Gradient. Gradient. That's a word I just made up. You can see I'm adding more contrast. We did that because stone then do some more blending. What you can also do if you want to get more highlight is take the notorious colorless blender. All my materials out and tourists. And basically you want to soak some of the ink. And by doing that, that area looks brighter. Now you can either ignore what I do next or just learn from this experience. Basically, I wanted to add another tone just to get some more shade on the bottom area. But then I noticed that the thumb is too dark. So I tried to save the situation by using our two again in basically use the colorless blender to soak that ink and apply a different tone, trying to restore the situation like it was before. So as you can see, lots of blending work. Overall, I managed to save the situation. Awesome. So now we'll proceed to color the face. We'll use, of course, the same skin tones, starting with the first layer covering this entire area, coloring in the direction, the shape. Next we'll add some shade. As you can see, I'm leaving a blank area on the cheek because it gets more light, because it sticks out more. After that, we'll use the darkest tone, but before I forgot to draw the neck. So add one line here to create nowadays, Nick. And we'll proceed. We do some blending, of course. And we'll add some more shade below the bandana. Awesome. Next we'll color the eyebrows. So we start by using some yellow tones. After that, we'll use an Ochre tone, just another layer. And we'll do the same for this area, starting with the middle, then adding the darker stone and blending them. Now for the hair on top, I'm going to start with an even brighter tone, that's y, z are 0. And only then I'm going to use the mid-tone, just covering this entire area. Just like before. Following up, we did darker stone and do some blending. Next we're going to call it my favorite part, that metal plate. You can see I'm coloring from side-to-side and I'm leaving some blank areas to get that nice shine on the plate. I'm going to add the midtone and blend the colors again. Next we'll add darker stone. And we'll blend it again. And of course we'll color the lift symbol with the darker stone. If you want, you can use the colorless blender to create more highlights by soaking the ink, just like I explained and show you before. Awesome, So it looks good. And now we can color the bandana, Will do that by using the same blue colors we used for the jacket. And we'll do that with the same method. This Ryan was totally accidental. Awesome, meant to finish up with just need to color the eyes. So I'm gonna start with a very bright gray to create some shade right below the eyebrow. Hello the eyelashes. And the next, we'll use some blues, different blues from the ones we used for the jacket. I'm gonna leave it blank area at the far left again for the highlight. Next, we'll use a darker tone color when the right side will blend it, of course. Then we use the colorless blender and we'll circle around the blank area to create a nice harmony and nice transition. How do we owe everybody? This is how you draw. Now taught was the marquee. I want to congratulate whoever made it this far. Some claps. Please let me know how you did comment down below in the comment section. That's it. Thanks a lot for watching, keeping awesome as always. I'll see you on the next video.
