1. Class Intro: What up, everybody. This is Y. Welcome to another
step by step tutorial. And today, we're going
to draw the maniac Katsuki Bakugu from
my hero Academia. So first, we're going to
start by sketching Bakugu using an HB two pencil
or a mechanical pencil. Next, we're going to
use some inking pens to ink the entire drawing. And finally, we're going to use alcohol based markers
to color them. So without further ado,
let's go down to business.
2. How to Draw Bakugo : What's up, everybody? This is the and today
we are going to draw Bakugu from
my hero academia. As you can see, I already
drew a perfect square. Each side is 5 centimeters, but you can draw it in
any size you want to make sure to use a
suitable paper size. So we're going to draw
Bakugu in a frontal pose. I'm going to start
by drawing the eyes. As you can see, I'm drawing two diagonal lines on each side. Next, I'm going to
draw the left eye. I'm simply going to
do it by drawing half of a circle and then we'll draw the iris and the pupil at the center
but slightly to the left. I'm going to do the same
process for the left side. And if you want to maintain
the right proportions, you can use a ruler
and just pull a line from one edge of
the eye to the other. Okay, so next we're
going to draw the job. First, I'm going to start by drawing two curves on each side. Make sure not to draw
the chin too sharp. And now we can draw the nose. So I'm going to start by drawing some straight lines right there. And then I'm going to draw the nostrils simply
by drawing two lines, two commas, if you will. Now we want to draw his
crazy insane smile. So we'll do that by
drawing two curves right at the center of
the bottom rectangle. As you can see, the left side
of the smirk is up a bit. We'll draw a line in the
middle to indicate the teeth. And then another curve
for the bottom lip. As you can see, I'm
doing some adjustments to the jaw and for the mouth, I'm going to try to make
it look a bit thicker. Awesome. So now we are
going to draw the hair. So I'm going to start
by drawing this circle. That will be our
guideline to help keep the right
proportions of the hair. And now I want to
draw his hair spikes, and we'll do that simply
by drawing two lines. Two lines for each spike. As you can see, they cover
his eyes a little bit. Awesome. Now we're going
to stop with the hair, and I want to draw the mask. Okay. So we'll start
from the left side. And what we got here is
basically six lines, and we got that pointy part
of the mask in the middle. As you can see, it
points to the nose. Awesome. Once we're
done with that, I'm going to draw the ears. So as you can see, we'll
use one curve all the way up and another
curve right there. We'll do the same
for the left side. Again, use the square in order to maintain the
white proportions, and then we'll add the
details of the ear. Awesome. Now we can continue with the other part of the mask. So just draw some pointy edges right above the ear
and next to the hair. As you can see, it
doesn't have to be the same number of spikes. Okay, I checked some references and sometimes they
draw it with four, spikes, sometimes five, sometimes
six, it really depends. So just flow with it. Okay, next, we are
going to get rid of all the unnecessary guidelines. I'm going to draw
some wrinkles right there just to make
them seem more angry. And then we'll continue with
the rest of the spikes. As you can see, now I'm using the guideline I drew before. And actually, I
think I should have drew it a bit
higher, the spikes. So later on, I actually
gonna delete some of them and draw the
hair a bit higher. And I'm going to give some
thickness to the lines of the eyes just to make
it seem more bold. By the way, there's another
alternative for the mouth. So if you want to draw them like that, you can also do that. I think I'm going to stay with the crazy smile from before, and I'm going to draw the hair a bit higher just like
I explained before, like 1 centimeter higher. Awesome. So now we
can draw the torso. So first, we'll start
with a metal part on the neck and we'll do that by drawing six curves on each side. And again, you can
use the square to keep the proportions. Awesome. Next,
we're going to draw two circles, one on each side, and we'll draw another curve inside them that way we
can create some depth. Now it looks like a hole. Awesome. Next,
we're going to draw the shoulders simply by drawing
two curves on each side. And then we'll draw
his collar bones and the neck muscles. Awesome. Now we're going to draw his spikes above his head. You know, those orange thing is. I'm gonna draw two on the right
side and one on the left. So we'll start with
the right side, and we'll give it a nice boler And then one spike on the left. Awesome, and we are
done with the sketch. Now we are going to grab some inking pens and
ink this entire join. I'm going to use
these three pens. We got 0.2, 0.03, and 0.05. Now, I'll use 0.2 for the
shoulder, for the hair. Basically, for the
most of the sketch, you can also use 0.1. But for the face, for example, the eyes and the nose, I'm going to use
0.05 and maybe 0.03, just because the nib
is a bit thinner and it helps me to be
much more accurate. Okay, so I'm going
to start with 0.2. You can see I'm
rotating the page, so I can have my
natural hand movement. I don't want to go against
that natural movement. Although sometimes
people prefer to draw it when the join is steady. In my opinion, just do
what works for you. Awesome. So once we are done, we're going to grab
the eraser and just get rid of all the lead, and it's really important to get rid of all the lead
because you don't want to smell the lead later on once we use the copic markers. And you can also use
the erasus stick for the stubborn areas.
3. How to Color Bakugo : Okay, so once it's clean, we can start to use
the Copic markers. So the Copic markers are
alcohol based markers, which means they can
blend very well. They got a huge
variety of colors, and I already picked
the colors for Bakuku. So we are going to start
with the skin tones. I'm going to start
with a brighter color. And if you look at your
top left of the screen, you can see the exact number
of pic I'll be using. So as you can see, I'm just filling this entire area going up down and up again in the
direction of the shape. Okay, you want to color it in
the direction of the shape. I'm going to do the
same for the neck area. And then we'll use some shades. So I'm going to use a darker
tone for the shaded areas. For this drawing, the
light source will come from the left
side, which of course, means the left side will be brighter and the right
side will be a bit darker. So as you can see, I'm
adding the shade that drops from those metal things. Next, I'm going to use
an even darker tone for the darkest areas. And then I'm going
to blend the colors. So I'm going to use
the mitne to blend the darkest tone and
I'm going to use the brighter tone
to blend the metne. Awesome, and this is the
result we are going after. So I'm going to do
the same process for the left shoulder and then
we'll focus on the face. Awesome. So we are
going to color the face with the same method. Just like before
I'm going to color with the direction of the shape, I'm going to add
more layers with the same color to
get more saturation. Then I'm going to use the
meton to create some shade. As you can see, I'm placing
it on the far left of his jaw on the bottom
lip and on the nose. Next, we use the darker tone. Okay. And I'm going to do the
same process for the ears. Awesome. And now that we
are done with the skin, we can focus on the metal. Okay, so for the metal, we'll use some grays
and a black color. I'm going to start with
the brightest color. As you can see, I'm using
fast brush strokes in the direction of the
shape towards the edge. Next, I'm going to
use a darker tone. And then I'm going to blend the meton with the
brighter tone, just like I explained before. That way, we'll get
a nice gradient. Now, what you want to do is use an even brighter tone
that's very bright gray, and we'll use it in this area just to blend
it with the meton. Awesome. Next, I'm going to
add some shades with C seven, and again, blend
it with the tone. Now, for this area, I'm going to use
the black color, because this area
will be the darkest. Why? Because it gets the
least amount of light, and we'll use the
same black color to color the shades
beneath the face. Awesome. So I'm going to do the same
process for the right side, and then we'll continue
with the mask. Okay, so for the mask, I'm going to use C seven. That's the darkest gray
we used for the metal, and I'm going to use the
black color as well. So I'm going to start by filling this entire area with C seven. And before we'll move
to the black color, I'm just going to
color those eyes. So we'll use a red
colour for that. I'm going to use a
darker red to create some shade and then blend
it with five again. As you can see, I'm adding
some more thickness to the smile. Now we want to add some
shade right below the eyes. We'll use a bright
gray for that. And now we are going
to get back to the mask and add the shades. So basically the
shades from the hair. And of course, we'll
blend it with C seven. Okay, so now we'll
add some shade for the teeth again with the C
one, the brightest gray. And now we can move
on to the hair. So for the hair, I'm
going to use two colors. We'll start with a brighter one. That's Y 21. It's a buttercup yellow. And what I want to
do is basically finding the area
where the hair was, and I'm going to
color around it. So that's basically the exact same thing that I said before. I'm going to color in the
direction of the shape. So the shape is the hair, and this will be
our starting point. Awesome. Next, I'm going to use a darker tone for the shades. It's a very warm gray. And then we'll do some
blending, not too much. Also, next, we are going to color those spikes
above the head. I'm going to start
with some oranges. We use the brightest
tone for the edge, then the midton for
the middle part, and then the darkest tone
right on the bottom. And we'll blend the
colors just like before. Next, we use C seven and the black color
for the inner parts. Okay. Awesome, and I'll do the same process
for the remaining two. And if you want, you can use the broad tip for the edges
just to have more control. Now, as you can
see, I accidentally carried outside of the lines, and I'm going to use the
colorless blender to soak the ink. Just like that. And we are done. Everybody, this is how you draw Bakugu from my hero Academia. I hope you guys and girls
enjoyed this tutorial. That's it for today.
Thanks a lot for watching. Keep being awesome, and I'll
see you on the next video. Peace. And
