About This Class

You guys are in for a treat!

In this course, I'm showing you how to create abstract art - using FREE graphic design tools & programs.

You can create your physical products on sites like Teespring & Printful to sell on the platform & marketplace of your choice - and/or - you can upload your digital designs to your Etsy store as art printables.

When using print-on-demand companies, you are in a position to make different products to sell to your buyers. While you can create some epic text-based t-shirts, mugs, phone cases, etc - with abstract art, you can use your designs to create an entirely new set of products with things like all-over shirts, hoodies, and leggings - expanding your market, reach and inventory.

Plus, this really kicks your creative nature into high gear. You get to be totally unique and create a variety of designs you never thought you'd be capable of. You'll go from "I have no idea what I'm doing" to "WOW! I can totally do this!"

This is a hands-on course. No fluff - just action.

If you want to learn how to create stunning designs using a timeless form of art - all the while using your art to make physical (and digital) products for personal, creative or commercial purposes, this is the course for you.

Hi, I’m Dana. I’m an author, writer, designer, and video creator.

I’ve always been imaginative and artistic. As a kid, I loved to write poetry & sketch my friends’ yearbook pictures (always while I was in class, not paying attention to the teacher).

Over the last several years, I've published five books, created my blog over at Iammyimagination dot com and these days, I design printable art products, t-shirts and I create videos showing total beginners how to work online using free and inexpensive products and programs.

1. Introduction: whether you're looking to start a new career as a creative preneurs, develop a side gig. Or perhaps if you're stuck at home, out of a job or just one, unleash the creative genius and you I have some great news. My course how to create digital abstract art will teach you how to create epic designs. You can either sell where hang on your wall or all of the above. Abstract art is so cool, and even if you're just a beginner, you can easily learn how to make stunning designs to sell us art principles. Print on demand products were even just to do is a fun hobby and the best part of all of this. I'm teaching you how to do this using free design tools. So if this excites you, check out the links below to the course and I'll see you in class 2. What Is Abstract Art and Why Does It Matter: So what is abstract art? Why should you care? And why does it even matter? Well, when it comes to creating designs personally, I find it's important to try to be timeless. Okay, I know that there are There are a lot of people out there. They like to create things that go with trends. But I'm saying if you're looking to have a lot of fun with this and try to create, like a long term business model, you probably want to stick with things that are still relevant and can still sell, say, for 5 10 years, 20 years from now and still haven't be relevant on top of it. On top of it, um, I honestly just think that if you're looking to build a passive form of income, what you do today can still benefit what you stand to reap from it later. Okay? And when it comes to abstract art, it's been around with us for a very long time. Okay, So according to the Artists Network, I went ahead and pulled this up. It's been with us in one form or another for almost a century now, and it's proved to not only be a longstanding crooks of cultural debate. But a self renewing one is, well, all right, vital tradition of creativity. We know that it works, even if we're not sure why or why That's so or exactly what to make of that fact. Okay, I don't take everything that people have written is gospel, but I do think that there is some wisdom here. And if you were to kind of scroll down, you know it'll it'll tell you I mean what it is again. It's been around for a very long time. It literally means the distancing of an idea from object referring, okay, and the visual arts. It's pulling a description away from any literal representational or reference points. You can call it abstract art. You can call it non representational art, all right. Usually what you see is a conglomeration of different shapes and colors, and there don't seem to be a whole lot of rules, OK, and this is another reason why I love it. I personally don't think you absolutely have to be an artist to create really cool abstract art, all right. It's kind of one of those lots of different things go and you can play around with it and, you know, just just have some fun, OK? I have abstract art in my home. I've painted my own abstract art paintings from scratch and again, it's like, Yeah, it can make sense And then it also doesn't have to make sense. So this is where you guys really are able to let your creative imaginations lie. I mean, look, this guy he's got applying fold on and look at all this cool stuff he's got back here, OK? They don't follow any specific rules, but he's able to create a whole bunch of different looking art. All right, so that is what abstract art is. And, um, I know that when I go to places like home Goods or any of these places, and I see these pictures and they could be small, they could be large. It doesn't really matter. I am always human on them. I happen to love abstract art, and I love the fact that you can color coordinate thes designs as much as you want to go with any room in your house. And like I said it, they don't have to be perfect. That's another great thing about them. They do not have to be perfect. Okay, so that, in a nutshell, is what abstract art is. 3. Free Graphics on Pixabay: Okay, guys. So, I promised you you were going to be using free tools, and I plan on delivering on that promise. Okay? I am starting you off with a website called pixabay.com. Totally free to use. They've got stunning images, royalty free stock, you know, you've got photos and vector graphics, illustrations, even videos. We don't need videos for this course. And you don't have to create an account, but I chose to because if you're going to be using it often, you don't want to have to stop and click that hole. I am not a robot thing in between all of your downloads, because while we all love to save money, saving time is also just as important. Okay? So, you don't want to get too caught up in doing repetitive, redundant things if you don't have to. But again, you don't have to create an account to use Pixabay, okay? That's just what I like to do. So we're going to I'm going to start off typing in water color, okay? And I'm not going to get specific. I am going to type in vector graphics, okay? And as you can see here, you've got all kinds of stuff that showed up. I am interested not in ready made designs necessarily because the idea is to create our own using free elements, okay? I chose a transparent background because if you choose to put all of these on a transparent background, it just helps, okay? Even if you, you know, use some kind of a wallpaper background or a digital paper background, best if it's one you created, and I'm probably going to create a course on that one as well. But it's still better that you don't have a background on any of your elements, okay? So, I mean, you can create cool artwork out of water colors. You know, you would take something like this, perhaps. And if you went here, You would be able to download this. You can see it's a free background. And you can even separate these. You'd be able to cut them and have what are this? It's five of them. You'd be able to have maybe like five different, you know, little swishes or watercolor, you know, paint lines there. Okay. And as you can see, you'd be able to get it in PNG or AI. We wouldn't need it in the vector graphic. In this case, we would get it as a PNG. Okay. So, you know, that would be water colors. And Pisa Bay as much as I love it. Sometimes it's hit or miss. I mean, I don't count on Pixabay for all of my graphics, but I have found some amazing things off of this website. So sometimes you might want to take a little bit of time and just peruse through and see what you can find, okay? But you've got these circles here, you know, you've got more colors. You've got some of these paint splotchy looking things. All of these can count, you know, as far as creating really cool art. Okay. And in fact, you can maybe you can paint just type in paint and see what comes up. And you'll see you've got six pages here, and you'll have six pages of more options, all right? You've got more splatters, you've got you know, maybe more shapes here, all kinds of stuff. So there's stuff you can do with that. I mean, the idea behind all of this is that you allow your imagination to run wild, okay? So what I would do if I were you guys is type in several different, you know, terminologies here and look for things like water color, paint splotches, different stuff like that, okay? And then make sure, again, make sure you have the transparent background or the clear transparent background, and just find what you want. All right? That's what you can do on Pixabay. 4. Design Bundles Freebies: All right, So this is designed bundles dot net. I love this website. They have all kinds of really beautiful graphics and all kinds of other little creative tools that you can use. Design bundles in and of itself focuses on Lee on craft and graphics and templates, that kind of stuff. However, if you're looking for fonts, which doesn't really apply so much in this course, But in my other courses, they do, um they do have some sister sites, and one of them would be fun bundles, Okay. And they all run the same way. You know, you you create a free account, it would count on all of these, and you'd be able to get your freebies on on any of them for however long they're offering them for. Okay, So in this case, you would go to design bundles that net, you would create your free account. I'll have all that info on your resource is you can go right there, and you would click on free designs. And what it's gonna do is it's going to take you to the free design resource is for that time, okay. And they do tend to expire. So you want to jump on these while they're live? Um, we aren't looking for all of available free designs this time. We're really just focusing on graphics. All right, So I'm actually a couple of pages in, and as you can see, if I scroll to the bottom here, they've got at least over five. Alright? Right now, all of these air free. Okay. But I wanted to show you, And again your best bet would be to turn this into a fun little hunting project, and, you know, look and see what you got. But they've got these, like, brush strokes. And if you clicked on that, these air perfect for abstract art, by the way. Okay, so you would be able to you've got eight different ones. Here are eight all in different colors and, you know, with a wide transparent background, all 300 dp I Okay. And it comes with the premium license that allows commercial and personal use. You confined their license terms there as well. All right. And this is definitely a tool you would want to add to your toolbox. Okay, so there's something like that and, you know, they've got all of these different little bundles of different water color graphics the they also have, you know, these digital papers, which I don't know if you're really gonna be using digital papers to create your abstract art out of however you never know, you might be able to take like, little pieces of digital papers and kind of add them in this. Far as I'm concerned, you need to let your imagination run with this. All right? So because part of the reason for this course is to sort of unleash your creative inner child and see what comes out of it. Okay, so this is what you would dio, and as you can see here, I mean, digital papers are a big thing. I've I'm probably going to create a course on that because I know how to do it. I actually taught myself how to do that, and I think it would be a lot of fun. There's a lot of really cool things you can do with digital papers. Okay, but this is what you would do. You would go to design bundles and you would take a look and see what they've got here. You know, here they've got different backgrounds that you can use, Um, watercolor textures. Okay. Native American feathers. I mean, again, you never know what you're gonna find. Okay? And you can also use stuff like this for inspiration. That's another thing. You know, the idea is not to copy anything that anybody does, But you can certainly take a look at something and say, Oh, my gosh, I really love that. And I want to make something similar, you know, my own, but similar. All right, so that is designed bundles. 5. Creative Fabrica Free Tools: So we are on a website called Creative Fabrica and again, free account. You sign up and you will get e mails letting you know what's free for the week or the month or however long they do it. They all tend to change and do different things. And if you are on their home page, you can always go to freebies. But I wanted to quickly show you. OK, this is an example of something that I picked up from one of these websites. I unfortunately, don't remember which one. I kind of want to say it might have been created Fabrica all right, But I saw this and I just thought it was so cool. And again it was one of their freebies. Okay, so as you can see here, I mean, these look like they're textured. They have, you know, different glitter and stuff on them. I'm going to show you some really cool things you can do with stuff like this later on, you know, to change your mom, make him look a little bit different. But again, this kind of just goes to show you what it is that you can get free out there Okay. So back on creative Fabrica you would go to the freebie section. Okay? They also have the discount deals and the daily gift, but we're going to focus on freebies. You can see I already had it checked. And again, it's the same thing, right? They'll give you read still give you I mean, all kinds of different things. All right? You just want to scroll down, As you can see here, they have a lot of fonts, and I didn't mean I didn't check anything in particular. Here we go. Maybe to graphics and wait for it to load. Then, you know, you will see that they're offering all kinds of different things and what you want to do. You've got some water color swatches here. Okay? You've got more water, flour clip art and in, you know, over time, their designs are going to change and you'll be able to probably find stuff like, you know, just different elements. Different. You know, maybe paint splatters and picks a base also good for paints. Bladders can do stuff like that, and you can change a mop and rearrange them differently. And you can create designs out of your designs and all that great stuff. Okay, so that is definitely the kind of thing that you can do. In fact, that's something I had picked up. I have this exact package here, and I can tell you there are a ton off flowers. OK? All right. So let's look at one more real quick. Um, they've even got free device mock ups. Okay, so that is creative fabrica. 6. Creative Market Free Goods: So this is creative market dot com again free account. They're going to send you emails, and they usually give you six free goods per week, OK? And they're gonna change all the time. All right, um, if you're on the home page, you would hit, get free goods, They'll show you what you want, what they are. But you would still have to have an account if you want to download any of them. Okay, so that's what they have going on, like this six for right this moment again. They change all of the time, and it's just you never really know what you're going to get. Okay, so it's I happen to love this website. They're great for all kinds of things. So I would definitely add this website to your toolbox again. It's going to be in the resource section, and you never know what you're gonna find. Okay? 7. Finding Inspiration For Your Art Projects: So I took the liberty of going to Google and I typed in abstract splatter art. And I'm sure you've seen all kinds of stuff like this. And, um, you know, you've seen paintings you know, sold pretty much everywhere. It's been around for a while, but I have to be honest with you. I think there's a lot of cool stuff you can do with them. You can create any number of color combinations and you can be as minimalistic or as detailed as you would like with, Um, okay, that as you can see here, there's a lot of really cool stuff that you can dio. So I am thinking that we will possibly do something like this and we might even incorporate maybe some paint swishes and some spirals maybe a couple of other maybe like water color splats and stuff like that. You know, Thio, Thio add to our painting, but really, the whole idea is to have some fun with this and what I would suggest you do before you know you start any project. If you didn't already get inspired by something, just browse around, look through, see what you can find that really jumps out at you. And the idea is definitely not to copy anybody, but it is perfectly fine to get inspired. Okay, You might look at something like, I don't know, something like this. Say, Oh, wow. I really love that. Maybe I would do something similar without that black background, and I would use different colors and maybe some different shapes, but I kind of like the overall effect, you know, stuff like that. Okay, so that's what I would suggest you dio. 9. Grab Some Graphics: So I am on picks. Obey and I just typed in paint splatter. And I did check off the transparent background option. And as you can see here, they've got one page. But you're going to see why one page of this is actually OK? All right, So you've got a few different options here, and what I would recommend is to go ahead and grab several of them. I would grab something like that. I would maybe grab something like that. Or that maybe all of them again, these air free guys, maybe, Perhaps that because I'm going to show you how you can actually change the colors. You're gonna change the shapes, changed the positions of them. So you would be able to take stuff like this. Something like that would be really cool. There's already a couple of colors and one, you know. So go ahead, go through these, grab a few that really stand out, and we're going to incorporate them into our project. 10. New Site for FREE Vector Graphics and Clip Art: Okay. So before we continue with the rest of the course, I know you noticed in a couple of slides before this one that Pixabay was not offering out the free graphics, at least not as of this morning. I woke up to a message from one of my students mentioning that she couldn't find the fireworks. In fact, she couldn't find anything regarding, you know, vectors on Pixabay, and I was like, that's really weird. I just used them maybe within the last week. And sure enough, not that I didn't believe her, but sure enough that does seem to be the case. I don't know if it's temporary or not. It is Mercury retrograde, so technology could be acting wonky as it is. But I'm going to keep the pizza base stuff there just in case it's a temporary glitch of some sort. But until then, you guys have a course to finish and projects to create, so I wanted to make sure I found a replacement for you as quickly as possible. And I did. So now I'm going to tell you about it. This website is called clicker.com, or at least that's what I'm calling it, spelled Cel com free clip art for you can use it for anything you like, okay? And if you were to scroll here, click on the terms of use and the disclaimer, the restrictions are pretty minimal. Okay? And you can read them all here. It's not a very long page of stuff. And they really just don't want you to use any of this to draw any image or download any of them that will be used or characterized in any of these, you know, categories, stuff like that. All right. And as far as whether or not they are free for commercial use, Can I use an image as my logo? Well, all of the images on clicker are in the public domain. Anyone can use them. It will not stop others who may be in the same business from using, you know, using the same ones as their own logo. So that's something you're going to come across no matter what. Okay. So I just wanted to let you know that this seems to be the case. So regarding the stuff that you probably downloaded from Pixabay, what we're going to do is, as you can see here, I have been playing around. I am going to just go ahead and we're going to look for a paint splatter. And let's see if we can find some of the same ones that I told you to get from Pixabay. And look here, yes, you can. I totally recognize these and all of these different colors, okay? And you've got several others here, and you've got a ton of pages. All right. And so if you were to say, click on one, what's also really cool is you'll see a couple of, you know, additional ideas here. Okay? So let's just say I was going to want to get this. And you know, I've got the small medium and the large. I would tell you to go ahead and go with the large one because you can always make them smaller. But if they're small, it's going to be a little bit difficult to make them larger and always keep that same type of resolution. So let's go ahead and also look up like paint splash. Because there was one here. I wanted to make sure that you guys would recognize and it's this one. Okay. So if we were to say go to this one, All right. I went ahead, I downloaded the large one, and I wanted to show you that when you download, let's go back real quick. So when you go ahead and you download this. You would click that, and you'll see it come to here, and you'll be like, Oh, my goodness, what do I do now? And that does not look like the same transparent background that I am used to seeing. What you're going to do here is you're going to right click, you'll save the image as. Okay. You can go ahead, probably name it if you want. And what I am going to show you is I took the liberty. Like I said, I brought it into picky. Okay. And you can see that transparent background here. And sure enough, I went ahead and brought my friend, Mr. Owl. So that I could just show you, if I were to do this, then you can clearly see it is definitely a transparent image. So, I just wanted you guys to see that you will be able to get your vector graphics, okay, even though Pixabay is having its own little attitude right now, and this is what I'm going to recommend you use, okay? So I did go ahead and add this to your course resources in the PDF that you downloaded earlier, and you'll be able to use this, like I said. One thing I do want to mention, and you will see this in the next video, where I'm talking about maybe using paint brush or paint strokes, and they do have some. I'm not entirely sure why these are not loading. Okay? But in the next video, I am showing you on Pixabay again, hoping that they'll bring that back. But if they don't, then I'm showing you where you can get stuff like that on Etsy. It's not mandatory that you use that for this project, but it's just an option for you, just a little extra tool. But again, if you can't get ahold of it, it's not a big deal. But in the following video, I am showing you where you can get stuff like that on ts. I also wanted to let you know that you can also get stuff like that on creative fabrica. I don't I have gotten stuff like this for free, okay? And when you sign up, you know, you'll find out, you know, where the freebies and stuff are. But if you were to type in maybe paint brush, you know, something like that. Then you would come and you would find no, it was. So actually, what I did was I typed in paint strokes free. And so this page came up, okay? And so you can see here for $1, Okay. And again, it's not mandatory, but for $1, you would be able to use something like this. And you can see here, you get all kinds of really cool stuff and you can even change colors of them, that kind of thing. Okay. So if you needed a full POD license, I've gone over stuff about the POD license and different videos on my YouTube channel, then you certainly have that option as well. Okay. So it's just something I wanted to let you know about. All right. And like I said, in the next video, I'll show you what you can do with stuff like that and where you can find inexpensive ones on Etsy, but I wanted to make sure that you watch this as well. 11. Some Inexpensive Options If You Want to Expand On Your Design Elements: I also took the liberty of typing in paint stroke here. And if you see, I could click on something like that, and I'm going to actually go ahead and grab this one, and I'm just gonna get a small one. All right? You'll see what we do with that when it's all said and done. Okay, Because again, you probably noticed that. No, here it came in this color, but we can take this and transform the color. So you are certainly free to go ahead and grab both of them. But I'm just going to get one. And then, of course, there stuff like this that has several different types, all right. And you would be able to get this, And in this case, I'd probably go with a larger one. And the reason is because this would be the type of situation where you would probably go in and perhaps actually cut some of these out. Okay, So that you'd have, like, separate files of each one. Okay, that one might be a little bit difficult to separate, but yeah, if you blew it up enough, you might be able to get away with it. Otherwise, for the most part, you'd be able to separate the's just by cutting them and then adding them into your designs . Now we are focusing on free tools. However, I wanted to show you real quick that if you were to go to etc, let me get rid of that. If you were to go toe etc. And type in like paint stroke, digital art, you would see that there are a lot of people that are selling these types of things. Okay? And they don't have to be expensive at all. All right, So, for example, you've got something like this. She's selling them for 99 cents. He or she? Same thing over here you get, like, 48 different ones for 99 cents. So what you might want to do. You know, if you want to invest maybe a little bit of money, you could go in and grab some stuff like this. Of course, you don't have to, but if you're feeling a little frustrated and you're not finding what you want with the free tools, then you can definitely find some very inexpensive digital art designs. You know that you could add into your own projects. Okay, so something like that, I'm just a little curious because I really love these colors. So for $2.78 it looks like let's see what you get here. All right? So you would get all of these. Okay, So it would probably come, perhaps in one big picture, Um, and you'd probably have to cut them. But again, for under three bucks, you're getting, you know, a ton of a ton of different graphics that you could use here. OK, so it's just a little food for thought, guys. 12. Ipiccy Flash and New Content Announcement: Hey guys, I wanted to come to you and give you a couple of updates. So number one, you are getting brand new free content that is going to come later on in the course. I'll explain why in just a moment. So whether you're a new student or whether you've already taken this course, you are probably aware that flashes going away at the end of 2020. Right now, it kind of is the end of 2020. It's early in December. And I picky still runs on flash. I wanted to, I, I've been thinking about this. I even had a student ask me about it, but I was already on top of it, just kinda scouting out some different things that I could show you. Because while, as you can see here, I am on the eye picky Contact Us page and they're telling you that yes, they are working on an HTML5 version at the moment that won't require lash. The truth is, it's not out yet. I was sitting back and hoping and praying that they would go ahead and release it. Not just because of these courses, but because I love using this program. I think it's awesome. And it was a pleasure and an honor to be able to show you guys how to use it. Some of you already knew, some of you didn't know when. Some of you learned some things that you didn't know having already used this program. So that being said, I can't take this out of your course because they might go ahead and come out with this. I've heard different things. I did email them. In fact, I did contact them and they got back to me letting me know that yeah, they were working on it and it was going to come out. So I have to remain hopeful and in good conscience. I cannot remove this content from your course. I'm going to leave it right where it is. Again, if for some reason it doesn't come out or it takes awhile or whatever, I can't have you guys take this course and not have access to another program that can at least help you do the things that I have shown you how to do using AI picky, Okay, so you guys are going to have some brand new content later on in the course, I had to figure out where to put it so that it wouldn't disrupt the flow. And I felt that later on in the course, it would make the most sense. Okay, so you can look at this as additional content and I think you'll be happy with it. I had to I had to do some homework and see what it was that you guys would be able to use. And again, you'll be happy to know I was able to find a program that is totally free, doesn't require Flash, it's been updated with the HTML ability and you guys will not have to download anything necessarily. But like I said, they do actually have an app, so you will be able to play with this on your smartphone or your tablet or whatever. Alright, so just be on the lookout for that guys. 13. Introduction to Ninjaunits for Image Size Conversions: I also wanted to make you aware that I am going to bring another useful tool into this course. This you will see come into play a little bit later on in the course. However, it's just a good thing to have with you, okay, another free website that you can use, and this one is to help you convert things like inches, two pixels, and vice versa. So let's just say you have an 11 by 14. And the program you're using is asking for the pixel count and you aren't sure exactly what that number would be. You can simply come to ninja units.com. You would go to converters, okay? And you would be able to figure that out. So we're going to go ahead and click on that ok. And obviously it's cool for all kinds of things. But in this case we're gonna go to pixels conversion. And we're gonna go to inches, two pixels. Okay? And what we would do here is we would scroll down, okay? When it comes to, you know, look, if you're working with a program that doesn't have a limit on how many pixels you can use for their program. Then I say, go ahead and play around because you can always create your 300 dpi From the beginning doing something like this. However, with some of the programs, especially the free ones, they do limit you on the resolution that they're going to let you download for free. So what I say is start low, ok, it is usually better to start high if you can. But again, when you're using free programs, you have to make do with what you can work with. Okay, so in this case, we're just gonna go ahead, will go to 096 DPI. And if you are trying to convert an 11 by 14, you would simply put 156 pixels where the 11 inches would go. And you would put 1344 pixels where the 14 would go. Okay? So I just wanted to make you aware of this, alright? And in case you wanted to learn about this, you can always do this the long way. So, you know, here's your inches to pixels conversion table. And you can always figure that out using a calculator, which is probably not half bad thing to do. However, we have kind of gotten used to technology doing things for us. And if this is what you wanna do, then this is the website in which you can do it, ok. And if your DPI is not on the list, you can always, I guess, activate a custom DPI. I haven't done that, but apparently it is an option. 14. Introduction to Ipiccy: All right. It is time to start designing. We are going to start off with a website called I picky dot com. I happen to love using this again. Yes, you would. You'd create a free account to use it. Now I want a hit. I enabled the ads on this website. You don't have to. And if you don't, you'll see a little thing here that says I don't like ads or something to that effect. I went ahead and I enabled them. Because personally, if they're going to let me use this free software, then I'm gonna go ahead and let them run their ads if they want. It hasn't slowed me down or interfered in my life in any way, and I'm certainly not telling you what to do. But if these places air going to offer me free tools that I definitely want to do my part in trying to support what they're doing, Okay, However, that's totally up to you. All right, so I picky dot com actually runs on flash. Okay? And what you would do here is you would hit. This is after you create your free account. You would hit created design and as you can see here, flash is blocked. So all you do is you hit, enable flash allow. It's gonna refresh itself and then create a design. Okay, so what you would want to do here is you can pretty much think about what size do you want to start with? Do you want to start with a portrait? You know, a portrait is more of Oh, it's it's a rectangle, but, you know, wider, not not as wide on the sides a little longer in length. And then this would be closer to a portrait. What you see here, Okay. And then, of course, there are always squares. And you can do this however you want. All right, you can start off like taking some of your graphics in creating graphics out of your graphics, in which case it really wouldn't matter what you're starting with or you can start to create just in one abstract painting of sorts of digital painting, just using all kinds of free elements. I say, do it all. You know, Do it all. Have fun with this. Maybe you want to start just kind of creating a painting type of thing like a painting that you would, you know, see on somebody's wall or something and kind of just go from there. I want to show you real quick that with no experience whatsoever and using all of those free design elements that I told you about, I went ahead and I created this, Okay? I thought I'm just gonna play around. Let's see what happens. And so this is what happened. Okay, so and you can probably recognize that these okay are from here. So I took these and I don't think I used the mall, but I took in a couple of them and I went ahead, and I put them in my picture. Now they don't look the same. Do they know they probably don't? Because you can take these things and you can do all kinds of cool stuff with, um that's what I'm saying. You want to try to get as creative with this is you can and you can layer and just do things. Okay, So what? Whether I choose to do something with this or not, I have no idea. I actually put it on a pair of leggings on one of the print on demand companies that I work with, and they were very interesting. I also put it on an all over print shirt, and that was also very interesting. Um, you know, I can change out some some color elements here and create, like, canvas wall art. I went ahead and I uploaded it to, you know, to one of those, and it was actually pretty cool looking alright. But for now, it's just kind of here. And it was I created this more just to show that it can be done and just have fun with it. And that's what I'm saying. That's what I want you guys to do with this. So what we're going to do here is I would say, you know what? Go with what they've got here. Why make it any more difficult? I'm gonna go ahead and hit the transparent background option and hit create 15. Choosing An 11x14 Size: Well, they say it is a female's right? Or actually, it's anybody's right to change their mind. And I've decided to change my mind about something from the last video. I am going to go ahead and specify what size art project we're gonna work on today just cause I honestly think it'll be easier. Okay, I don't even know the dimensions. Um, actually, it would have come out to this, but I'm gonna go ahead and choose an 11 by 14 because as far as I'm concerned, it's just a good old fashioned, relatively popular size that we can use. That's easy enough to turn into an eight by 10 and sometimes a five by seven, depending on what we're doing. Okay, so I'm going to go ahead. I hit the transparent button. We may or may not even use that, but I'm going to create it. Okay? 16. Create the Design: All right. So I decided that what I wanted to do was actually show you the graphics that I got. So that way, if you wanted to do this exactly as I do, then you'll have an idea of what it is that I've gotten. Okay, I've got a huge library route. Really, really big library of stuff that I have collected over time. But I didn't think it would be fair for me to use any of the graphics that I have set aside because you probably don't have. Um all right, So off of picks obey. These were the ones that I chose to get. All right. I got a couple of different paints, bladders and a couple of different sizes so you could see that's a larger one. That one's a little bit smaller, you know, little bit simpler. And then this. I wanted to get that to color one. I also got the A little lines or swishes or whatever. Whatever you call them, the strokes, whatever it is that I showed you before, and I picked up these two watercolors. Okay, so if you go to picks, obey, you type in paints bladder. This is what you should, Um this is what you should find. You'll see they have a lot of black ones. I'm not going to bother with the black ones. And I'm going to show you why in just a few minutes, Okay. But, I mean, you can feel free to go ahead and grab some of these black ones if they have a specific shape that you're into, but I wouldn't choose it for the color just yet. Okay, So what we would do here is we would just start to bring in some elements. Okay? This is where we play around, guys. All right? And what we can do is, as you can see, I'm kind of dragging it from the corner here. It's gonna keep everything in proportion. But if I drag it from the side, it's going to expand it horizontally. It's gonna make it wider. If I were to go from the bottom, it's going to make it longer. Okay, So what's cool about this is with just a few elements, you can take all of these and make him look different. Okay, so let's just say I really dig this particular paint splatter, but I don't want to use red. All right, This is where we come in and we start changing things now, right off the bet that right off the bat, as I promised you watch what I'm going to Dio made take the saturation, All right? That just made it gray. I just moved it all the way to the side. The brightness here. I'm gonna also move that. And now what? We have a black splatter. Okay, so that's why it's just not necessary for you to go grab these, cause you can make them. All right, grab them. By all means, if that's what you want to do. But you don't have Teoh, Okay? So if you want to undo what you just did, you can certainly just bring that back to zero. Bring that back to zero, or you can go here and just hit the undo button. Okay. However, I showed you what it would be like to turn that into either a black or a dark grey. But what if you wanted to just change the color altogether? Okay, so I just kind of made it that teal color there, right? The saturation is going to also change the color, and you can certainly go that way as well. All right, you can brighten it up. You can create some more contrast here, all right? And this is how you take the same design and just create lots of different things with it. You can also take the fade, which that actually just gave it more of a watercolor. Look. All right, so what I'm going to do, though, is I'm going to go ahead. I'm gonna take it back to the starting point. All right? So we'll keep It is red. Now. I have just right. Clicked it. I'm gonna hit duplicate. And what I'm gonna do is I'm going to just kind of bring it up here, all right? But I don't want to keep it in the exact same, uh, proportion here. Meaning I don't I don't want it to look exactly the same. So I'm just going to go ahead. I'm gonna flip it, all right? And that just created kind of its opposite equal. Okay, so you could do something like that, all right? And then if you wanted to say, just kind of take the same thing, but scattered them out everywhere And, you know, I could make a smaller one duplicated if you want. And look at that. You just created Look at that. That's kind of cool. See, when I do these things, I end up kind of amazed at some of the things that I share you guys that, you know. Well, sure. You look at what you do. You have to do this thing. And then I look and see what was done, and I'm like, that's actually really cool. Can you imagine taking this like making it big, putting it on a T shirt or something like that? Anyway, I'm getting off topic, but you see where you go with this kind of thing. So I'm gonna actually take that. And I'm just all drop it over here or eight. I'll take that there. I'll drop it over here. But actually, let me go back a step. Let me just go back a step, okay? What if I want to take that and add some different colors in here? Okay, so maybe I'll do something like that. Maybe I'll take this one and do something like that. Okay, so maybe I'll come back in here and I'll grab this. Okay. I'm a little curious as to what this might dio if I So look at that. You can create an entirely different graphic out of that. Okay. We'll get all these options just from this 11 just from the hue. All right, let's choose something. That's cool. I kind of like that one right saturation. And now you're creating multiple versions of that as well. You will brighten it up a little bit. Take some of the contrast away and Voila. There you go. All right, So But maybe will duplicate that. Flip it, flip it, see? And even that in and of itself. You know what? I'm just gonna keep that. So if I wanted to keep that and they wanted to create the entire thing, I would take that. Maybe I throw it up here somewhere, okay? Duplicated again, and then whip it and flip it. And there I just created that exact same thing all over again. Okay, so let's go in here. All right, let's grab one of these watercolors. And this is why this Now you can see why I push grabbing things with a transparent background in them. Okay, Cause It's important because you want to be able to have the freedom to take everything you want. Place it all on the same piece of art, okay, without anything interfering with anything else. I am just playing around here, guys. That's exactly what I'm doing. I am just playing around here, all right, but let's make this the centerpiece. What's see what happens if we do that? And that's what a lot of this art is. It's Let's see what happens. That's my favorite kind of art because I personally think that true creativity comes from not having any idea where you're starting. I mean, you have, ah little idea where you're starting, but the whole thing is is you just get started and then you see where inspiration takes you . Okay, so here, just quickly go back real quick. So that was pink, Okay? And I just made it blue. Actually, that'll make it purple. I will make it more purple, make it less purple. I kind of kind of like the gray. Actually, I'll make it black. That's kind of cool. I'm a little interested in seeing what might happen. There are a contrast. All right, so here's what I'm going to dio. Okay, I'm going to take this. I'm gonna fade it a little bit, even though it's a watercolor. Just gonna faded a little bit. All right? Maybe about 27%. And what I'm gonna do is I'm going to push it behind. Okay? So that way, it doesn't cover up everything that we've just done here. But it's there. Okay, So what I can do as well is Let's maybe let's bring that one in. Bring that one in and maybe I'll make that one a little bit bigger. Oops. I just kind of dragged it. Okay. And let's see what color we can make this. All right. We'll go with that. But here's the thing, guys. Oops. I seriously wonder what that would look. What's all right. Let's do this. Let's do this. Duplicate it. It's because I made it so light. Are it to duplicating is not doing enough. However, I can flip it, all right. I can flip it and it's still pretty cool. It's still layered. All right. So I did. I altered the original design here because I flipped it, so I just took the whole thing, made it bigger, but I created here. It's darker, and it's kind of fading into this lighter thing here. All right, that's what I'm saying. You can layer your designs on top of your designs and play around with all of the layers and create all of these really cool effects. Okay, let's take that. Let's duplicate it and let's bring it up here, Okay. However, I'm going to change that out a little bit, a contrast, all right? And maybe what we'll do is we'll wish it behind. So now it is just part of the design, but it's not fully in, you know, it's not covering anything. It's just more of more of an aspect. But what? What if I really want to keep this color, and I just want to kind of change that out, OK, First of all, I can change this. I can undo this entire thing here, create an entirely different thing here. All right, So what I'm gonna do is I'm going to do just that. All right? So I'm going to change that out, see what that looks like. I kind of like that. All right. Maybe will brighten that up a little bit. change of the contrast. There we go. Ok, so as you can see, what we're doing is we're doing all of this layering, okay? 17. Adding to and Enhancing The Design: So let's just say you're going through this entire process, and as you're going along, you're liking the color schemes and the way things were coming together. But you're, you know, maybe you notice a couple of elements that you brought in toward the beginning, and you're like, I don't know if I really am digging this red color anymore. So in that case, what you could do is you can click on it and change it. Okay, so maybe you don't want read anymore. Maybe you're going more into pastels or something to that effect. OK, and there's something about, like, blues and Thiel's that I personally really love. So I think I'll go with that, Okay, Something like that. But I would still I'm gonna go with that dark teal. Okay? And what you could do is you can kind of pay attention to these numbers, or it's you got 1 80 48 minus 48. So let's just say you want to do the exact same thing to that other red color. Okay? Sorry. So we got 1 80 48. Never that decides to work, or you can take the path of least resistance which is what I'm going to dio minus 48. There we go. I'm happy. All right, You can do that. Same thing here. All right? Maybe it's just not really working for you anymore. And, as you can see, because I layered it, you know, the top layer. I've just changed. The bottom layer didn't change. And that might create a design element that you're totally into. You can also, if you wanted to, you could take it, make it bigger, have a totally different look. Maybe you'll want to fade that in a little bit. A Make it slightly more transparent. All right, so that's what I'm saying, Guys, As you go along, you're going to be doing all kinds of things. Now, what I just clicked on, I'm pretty sure, is this giant piece underneath all of it. But what if I decided? You know, I'm not digging the gray anymore. What if I want to make it a different color than I could do something like that? Okay. And I can, you know, and also duplicate that as well, and I can turn it upside down and I can flip it when it decides to cooperate that is, and I can turn it upside down and flip it. Okay? Think I just did that without duplicating it. And that's where it becomes a little bit tricky when it comes to all of these layers. You kind of never know, You know. Did I just duplicate the layer? No, I didn't. All right, So what you end up doing in that case, is you would go there and you confined your layer. All right, so in this case, I'm looking for the big one, all right? And you would go through. Appreciate. I'm pretty sure pretty sure that's it, anyway. Or you can just get it and bring it to the front. Hi. Do that as well. So I think I was here. Bring it to the front real quick. Now, nothing else will get in the way of it. Duplicated. There we go. All right. So what I can do here is I can do all kinds of things with that. I can create a different color out of it. You look at that. That's kind of neat. All right. Change the hue a little bit or the saturation. Rather. All right. But I'm kind of digging. Actually, it's weird. Blue and pink were my favorite colors when I was little, and they've kind of stuck with me through adulthood. And, um, I also like yellows and blues a lot and like blues and golds as well. So I just duplicated that again, and I'm just I'm just playing with it, just Oh, that's really pretty. So I'm just creating my base here. Okay, so this is what I'm going to do. I'm gonna go ahead and send it all backwards, and I probably should have done that from the beginning with the other ones. Okay, but that's what I'm doing on there. We go. Okay. So when maybe we'll go back in here and let's grab like this small one, okay? Because it just adds an interesting element. All right, so I'm gonna go ahead. I'm gonna play around with the colors here, right. Maybe I'll do Let's see, what are our options? Cause just remember, any time you're playing with the hue, you might find something in the neighborhood that you like. Um, but you'll go here and you'll create multiple versions of that. OK, And find something you like. All right. So you could do something like that, perhaps. Okay. Like that. That deep purple. Okay, so as you can see, I mean, if you were to place this in other areas, I mean, you might be able to tell the look, she just took the same thing and put it somewhere else. How imaginative will. Wait a minute. Not so much now. Okay? Because I can do this everywhere. I can put this, I can change it up. I can do all kinds of funky things with it, All right? I'm just going to duplicate it, and I'll do that. And maybe I'll do that, Okay? And maybe I'll just take it and flip it around, and, you know, it didn't put it places and stuff like that, Okay? I mean, I'm just like I said, I'm just kind of playing with it. All right? This is what I'm talking about, guys. I mean, this is this is what you could do. You just create all kinds of really, really fun things out of the graphics that you have. That's what I'm saying. You Not only can you get the free graphics, but you can take the free graphics and create multiple graphics out of them, you know, to make him look totally different. And it's it's quite possibly not even something that you thought of. All right? Actually, I had just duplicated that, so maybe I'll do something like that. Um, but maybe here we go be all right. Not one a little bit. What it does. It adds just a little bit of contrast there. Okay, Now, what if I want that too kind to stand out a little bit? All right, well, duplicate this one. All right? Maybe change out that color so it doesn't look exactly like the other one. All right, then we'll change out the hue, and maybe I'll fade that in a little bit. Okay? So that really just kind of goes to show you how you can, how you can work with all of these free graphics and create a digital art design. And this is an abstract design. So here are those three, um, like lines. OK, so normally, I would tell you that it's probably not 1/2 bad idea to go ahead and just cut these out, okay? I didn't do it. I didn't do it because Well, cause I didn't feel like it means we'll just be honest with you. I just didn't feel like it, all right, But I don't care. I'm gonna have fun with it. Anyway, I happen to like these colors. All right? I'm gonna see what it is I can do with, um but yeah, I kind of like them the way they are here. All right. However, let's play. It's flip that. Oh, that's kind of fun. And that's art, guys, in my opinion, you know, it's sort of taking what you have and just making good use of it. And, you know, creativity is not just arts and crafts. I mean, we're doing arts and crafts, but creativity is taking a situation and saying, How can I take this semi limiting, you know, situation or experience and making it work for me. All right, so I didn't cut these up. You probably should, and I probably should have, but I didn't, and I don't feel like doing it now. All right, So how can I make this work for me? So that's how I can make it work for me. All right. Another idea is your Let's just do that for a second. I can take this and just get it out of the design altogether by doing that. Okay, here we go. You know, nobody would be the wiser, all right? Because when you go to export that and create an image out of it, whatever it is, I just slid right off is not gonna be a part of it. Okay, so, actually, let's do that for a second. I'm going to get rid of this real quick. All right? So let's do that. Okay? I'm still going to take this, and I'm still going to duplicate it, and I'm going to flip it. Okay? And here's another thing. What if What if I don't really love this part? Like taking just cut it right off and I can duplicate it, and I can flip that I wanted Teoh and I don't know, do something like that. I'm not going to, but like you can. Okay, I'm gonna go ahead. I'm just gonna go ahead and take that, put that back in there, change up the hue a little bit. Maybe the saturation, brightness, whatever. Contrast. I'm just gonna create something different out of it. All right? I'm gonna fade. That out. Just a touch. Okay? And I can throw that in there. And you know what? I think I'm going to push it behind. So it's it's part of the design, but it's not exactly a screaming aspect of the design. Okay, but that is again, That is something that you can dio. Okay. And here, this, if I wanted Teoh, I can take this. And where is that? You take this little in here, you can turn it around and do something like that. All right, so or put it in the middle or just get rid of it. Okay, But here we've got, like, here. We've got, like, a cool fund design. Okay, in my opinion, Anyway, in my opinion, this is a cool fund design. All right, let me take that. I just want to a little something in here. Okay, Bring it forward. And let's if that a different look all together can see that once you start to become a little bit proficient with this, you can save time and do a bunch of really neat things with it, Okay? Something like that. All right. So we've created this design, okay? I mean, you can go in there. You keep layering in layering it and layering it. And I would say if that's the case, have fun with it. Okay? But like you don't have Teoh and I'm going to show you why in just a minute. 18. Adding An Optional Background and Exporting to the Editor: so you might decide. Oh, I love the way this looks. Actually, I don't love the way that looks. There's everything else is so much softer. And this is just kind of blaring. Uh uh. What? Just let's just do something with that, okay? All right, that's a little better. So let's just say, you know, you're like, I really love it, but I just I want something else. I just want something else there. Okay, So I took the liberty. I designed this. This is a digital paper that I created. All right, I'm actually consider I call it Pink Grunge, and I am considering adding this creating a course on making digital papers. It's just I wanted to do the abstract one first. OK, but you can bring it in. You can make it bigger. You can even fade it out a little bit and what I would do here. And you can change this up a swell. You can do all kinds of really cool things with this. All right, Check that. So I called it pink grunge. But now it's green grunge. Now it's Craig grunge. And now it's a dark brown. What? That would look like. All right. Okay. I am curious. Now. All right, So I have to take this, and I'm gonna push it all the way back. Okay, So that's what that would look like on top of this particular you know, background here. Okay. Not in love with it. I'm gonna admit I'm not in love with it. All right, But if it's something you wanted to do, actually, because it's still sort of clicked on, I can I can change this, but would see here. Okay, now, that changes things up a little bit. As you can see, that adds another element. Okay, but what if you really love the way this is all looking here, but as you can see, it's much more bear up here. So that's where Duplicate comes in and flipped. There we go. All right. Any you can always kind of move these around, expand. Um, change him out a little bit. Stuff like that. Okay, but this is what I'm saying, guys. I mean, you can and let's fade that. Let's fade that a little bit, okay? Something like that, if it's sort of muted, this one behind it a little bit. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna duplicate it. What? Flip that now. And as we keep layering, it keeps adding things, especially if it's kind of transparent. Okay. But, I mean, this is what I'm talking about. You just kind of keep messing around with elements until you get what you want. All right. So I could sit here all day and continue to do stuff like this and overcomplicate the process, but I kind of don't want to do that. So I'm gonna take the background out for now. But I just wanted to show you that because there is something else that I am going to show you as well. So we've got a picture here. This is a funky abstract piece of art, and part of the reason I didn't want to do too much else to it is because even though I created this 11 by 14 I wanted to make sure that it was designed in such a way that if somebody wanted to, they can flip that around and create a portrait, not a pork. This is a portrait and create, like, a landscape based piece of art out of that. Okay, So you can look at it this way, or you can flip it around, turn it upside down, hanging up that way or on either side. And you'd still have a really cool piece of art to use, so it makes it versatile. Okay, So what I'm gonna do here is I'm going to hit the export button, and it's gonna take us to a slew of other design options, okay? 19. Additional Design Options Using Editor: all right, So we are now in the editor, and once we're here, we cannot go back and do anything else that we were doing before. We cannot take meaning. We cannot take any of these elements away. All right, however, let's just say there's are no, there's a dot somewhere that you don't like. All right, So, for example, I don't know, Let's just say let's just say this dot really bothers you and you're like, it's just going to get in the way of something. It's just bothering me so you can go to erase background. And again, this works very well on a transparent background. You can see the size of my circle here. All right, But what I'm gonna do that's the brush size. So I'm gonna make that soup or small like a seven. Okay. The hardness, it's just depends on how much pressure you want there. But if I were to here we go. No more dot Okay. So if there was, like, a whole area here, you're like, Oh, I don't like the way. Maybe sometimes I've had this happen Where sometimes I download, you know, one of these graphics, you know, even on the transparent background. Sometimes you can see a cut mark. Um, you can take that and actually erase, Say the cut mark. Okay, so it is an option. Okay, so then you would click. Apply if you know if it was necessary and no more dot No more bother. We're all good now, OK, so a good man. I don't know if you guys watch that show, but I kind of like, better call Saul anyway. So this is where you would come in here. And if you wanted to start playing around, you can create different designs out of this very design. You can start layering up different textures and colors and effects and all kinds of stuff . Okay, So I had called that other background like pink grunge, and it was because I had created something of a grunge effect on that paper. And if you go through here, you'll see, right? It does all of this stuff to it. Okay. And when it's doing is it's basically it's adding texture. It's adding a certain type of texture, and it's obviously a lot more evident here in the white areas, but it's also in here. It's just gonna be a lot more subtle. Okay, So what you would want to do here is you can go in and you can see all of the different things that it'll dio okay, so personally. But the one that they have here is the one they think is probably gonna look best. I am going to agree with that. So let's just if I wanted to, I go ahead, click apply. And now it has added just a little extra something in here. Okay? Lady said it's subtle but subtle on top of subtle on top of subtle can really do some really cool things. Okay, so here's another effect in here. You go in and add some light effects here, okay? I mean, that takes it to an entirely do. All of these things all take it to an entirely different place. And this is where you can take a design and create, like, different versions out of it as well. Okay. Something like that. So what can I do with that, huh? All right. That's kind of cool. But you know what? I kind of feel That's kind of cool. I could see that going with this design better than the other one, but I'm gonna leave it. I'm just I'm doing this, really just to kind of show you what could be done. Light leaks right to this just creates a different effect. Okay? And if you go in here, okay, you can. What happens is is we're on the original. So, actually, what it will do is this will take it to the original. But let's just say your brush hardness is one brush strength. 100%. Let's change that. Just say you wanted Teoh. I don't know. Have some of it kind of faded. You could do stuff like that. And this is what I'm saying. Okay. So you can create, like, some faded areas here and then highlight others. Where is then? If you go back to the effect? No, it's they're supposed to, you know, There we go. I would supposed to kind of fade some of that out. So that is just another way of editing your design verse effect. There you go. All right. Cancel. So that is something else you can dio. And like I said, you can also see that textures it and you know the more texture of you add the more different it looks okay. And it changes the colors of it and stuff too, So you might finish it in the designer area. But then you get it to the editor area, and you're like, huh? With all these other things I can do with it. Okay, seriously. Look at how much different that looks. All right. So, normal blend mode. I'm not personally, I'm not, like in love with that particular pattern, but I mean again, it's just something that you can dio. All right, So let's just say you're like, Wow, I really love all these different things that I can do with it, but I don't want to mess up with the I don't want to mess up the original. Okay, What? I would do their your best bet. And I didn't do this before, but I would do it now. OK, you get out of there. Okay. Let's just pretend for now that I didn't do the grunge thing, which was very, very subtle, but even even still, if I wanted to one do what? I could just undo it. Okay, so now it's like I just brought the picture back in and you would go ahead, you would save it. You would name it. Okay, It it'll abstract design or ridge and all. Okay. And then you would save it to your computer, okay? It would probably save. It is ah is a PNG because again, it's still got this transparent background. So that is something that you would dio. And then what you do is you go through and then you start changing things around, and if you decided, you know, Hey, I really let's, um, discard that for a second. So And if you were like, hey, I really love See? Look at that. That is so cool. That, like, kind of makes it jump off off of the screen there. Okay. And again, I mean, that's that's kind of cool. It's a little bit faded for me, but it's really cool guy and create all these different effects. So that's what I would tell you to do. You take your picture, you create all of these different effects with it and save each one in that way, you have options, and you can kind of look and ask people's opinion. You know, if you care about that kind of thing. Hey, which one you like? Better and again? You can create multiple versions of it. Okay, so let's just say and you can fade that effect, all right? You could make it more subtle. All right. You can Lippett apply. All right, you can go. Let's see. Go. Not in there. That's not what I meant to dio, okay? He trapped Shadow. I don't know what That's kind of interesting. That's kind of interesting. Creatively good dark drop shadow. There something you could Dio. All right, We'll get out of there, though. Create this effect with it. All right. So, guys, I mean, there's really kind of all kinds of stuff that you could do with this thing here. That's what would look like in a black frame. Seriously, I think it's pretty cool. Okay, against a lot of that. All right, cause these air your frames. Okay, Um, trying to think here, he's create some different effects out of it as well. This card, Okay, everyone you go to is gonna create a slightly different effect. And if you like, the mall saved them all. And, you know, figure out what you want to do with it. So I'm trying to think. Here. You go back here, okay? Actually, no. You want to go here, And if you want to even change that, you want to change out the hue and the saturation of the entire picture. You can certainly do that right again. Come in here and create an entirely different look out of it. All right? And as I said, that's kind of cool. And as I said, it just depends on, like, how mu did you want it or how crazy you want it. So let's see here. And you can go through this entire process here and create all these different effects with it. Okay? They said it just depends. Just depends on what it is that you like. Okay. Cancel out it out. Okay. There's the Dodge Tool. You can create, you know, lighten up little areas if you wanted Teoh. All right. There's, um, another tool in here. All the liquid fight tool. All right. I've used this before as well, and you can just kind of take your design and do some different things with it. There few areas of interest. All right. We'll apply that we can sharpen it if we wanted to. And just remember, guys like everything that you do. If you decide I don't really like that, just undo it, okay? Change out the vibrance, resize it in crop it, Auto. Fix all auto. Fix it. Okay, but that's what I'm saying. Okay, so we've got our design here, and I showed you how you can create multiple effects out of it. And seriously, I pretty much just kind of touched the surface. I only went through a few things here and there. All right, but at the end of it, you would save as many copies of it as many different versions of it. You definitely want to rename it, cause if you don't rename it every time you say that it's just gonna replace what you had already saved. And then it is lost. Okay, unless you keep going back and you don't want to do that. So, guys, what you do, once you export it into the editor, you go through, you play with all of these, you know, different tools here. Okay? Save whatever it is that you want to save as many of them as you want to save and then now comes time to increase the resolution to make sure that it is a nice, high quality image for you to either use or download, you know, into your not download, but sell to your buyers so that they can download it and upload it to anything that they want to create a product out of. 20. Introducing PiZap For Your Abstract Art Design: Alright, so we are going to create our digital abstract art design using a website called high zap. And it's a website, but the good news is, is it's also an app. You can download the app for free onto your smartphone or tablet or iPad. It's available for both Android and Apple products, as well as the desktop or laptop. So that's the good news. And while I'm going to be showing you how to do this on a desktop or a laptop. The good news is, is when you create your free account, which you will have to do in order to get in here and use it. Then you will still be able to sign in through the app and have access to your designs and stuff. As you can see, I've been playing around with different things and you'll be able to go in there and kind of have some fun with it. So I love that you're not married to a specific location in order to use this program. Again, totally free. You don't have to download anything and you will have access to the address. You know, I'll I'll give you the information as far as where to sign up for this in your downloadable resources. Okay, should have already gotten that by now, actually. So what we're gonna do here is we're going to real quick, let me just show you. You can see here any recent projects you have, you'll find it here. Alright? And you can move it into different folders. You can kind of duplicate it, you can trash it. Okay, very similar to Canva. Alright. And you've got your feature templates, holiday cards, and you've got all kinds of different social media graphics that you can create with the premade pre-made sizing, OK. You can edit photos, you can create a collage. In this case, we're going to start with a blank canvas. You can search all your templates here and you can do touch ups. Ok, this is going to come in handy later on. Alright, for now, we're going to start with the blank canvas. So, and as you can see, you can do the custom size. And then they've got all these other ones that you can kind of play around with as well. Alright? So normally, I mean, for the sake of this design, we're going to do an 11 by 14. You would figure, you know, a portrait should be fine and a portrait could be fine. But I do not actually know what the dimensions of this particular portrait is. So we are going to go to custom size. And as you recall, I showed you ninja units. So what we would do is we would go to ninja units and type in okay, at a 96 DPI, which I'm just telling you right now, you probably won't even get the 96 out of this, okay? And the reason is because using the free program, they're going to limit your resolution. They all do. Alright? But I'm still gonna go with the 96 anyway because that number makes me happy. And so at an 11 inch document, it's going to be ten. If the six pixels, and I can tell you right off the, actually let's just go back here. 14, that will be a 1344. For reason that I am going with pixels here, they will give you the opportunity to put the inches in. But if you type in 11 by 14 by default, I think it's going to take it to a 300 dpi. Okay. And it'll tell you, oh, we can't do any more than 3800 and change pixels. So to get around this, put in your pixels are right and this number or lower will work. So this again is an 11 by 14. So here you've got some options. You can add a background image. You can change your canvas size, you can change your background color, and you can create a transparent background. So in this case, we're going to create a transparent background. You don't have to. And you'll see in, in the Canvas section of this course, we're gonna do this on a white background because Canva design gives you a transparent background using the free plan. However, this is part of why I wanted to bring this to you guys. Because for free you do have a transparent background. And just FYI, if you download this and you see the background looks black, just don't get freaked out over it. It is still transparent, okay? It'll still work if you're trying to bring it in design stuff like pillows and t-shirts and whatever else with it. Okay. And you'll see how that works later on. Okay. So we've got our size 11 by 14. We've got our transparent background. And now we are going to start the design process. 21. Creating The Design: So what we're gonna do here is we're just gonna take a look at this little menu. Okay, so you've got the canvas, which right now is going to bring out these very basic options. Okay? However, if you bring in, this is where that touch-up feature is going to work a little bit later on, if you're working with an actual background image, it's going to bring up a host of other options that you have. Okay, so just kinda take that info and file it for later. You've got filters, graphics, texts, you could do cutouts. That's a really cool thing that I'm going to talk about in a different video on my YouTube channel because it has nothing to do with your course. Borders. You can add pictures and create means and you can do little paint defects. Ok, I'll show you that will probably kinda get rid of it, but I'll show you how to do that anyway. Alright, so what we're gonna do here is we're going to go right to graphics. And as you can see, they've got a host of different graphic options are eight. But what we're gonna do here is we're going to add our own so you can bring them in from the computer. So anything I told you to grab from Pixabay or any other area where you downloaded some free commercial use graphics. You can go ahead search them for four from, search them from your computer and bring them into this, OK, your cutouts, uploaded images, if anything that you bring in is going to be here, you've got access to some free stock images. So if you click on that, alright, nothing here will be transparent, okay? But they do have, you know, they've got some cool stuff going on here. Okay, So you can always just sort of look at some of these backgrounds. They have alright, textures and patterns, stuff like that. And you can see most of it's for pro, but again, it's not going to, it's not going to come into play for what we're doing here. What we're going to do here is we're going to bring in your graphics. And I am going to go to the uploaded images and bring in mind. So as you bring yours in there going to be stored here, which I love so you don't have to, every time you come in you want to create a project, you don't have to keep dragging them in from your computer. You'll actually already have them here. Okay? So what we're gonna do is I'm going to start with whatever it is I might want to use as a background. I am going to tell you right off the bat, you don't want to overwhelm the, you don't want to overwhelm your, your portrait right now with a bunch of graphics because you're going to have to try to move them around in order to work with them and it's just gonna get annoying. So start with less. Okay, so for now, I'm gonna go ahead and bring that in. Ok. And what I'm gonna do here is, as you can see, it comes up with some design options here. So what you can do, you can always trash it. All right, you can lock it into place. You can duplicate it. Now I'm just gonna tell you, alright. If you change the color and you duplicate it, then it will totally work. So that's just one really cool thing that you might want to know. Ok, but if you know that you wanna duplicate it a certain color, I would do that first, alright, and then start playing around with the colors, ok? Otherwise you might have to try to go back and remember what you did and that kind of thing. Okay? Of course you can always reset. Alright? So you've also, you can bring it forward, you can push it back and again here you can change the color and you can change the opacity, opacity, whatever it is. And this feature here is actually really cool. You can do some stuff with it. It's not going to do a whole lot with your graphic. This one, I'll turn it black. But this is really meant to kind of blend images in with one another, which is another really cool thing that this program is good for. But for this particular type of project, it's not really going to come in handy, however, just good to know. Okay. You can always rotate it here as well. Like If you aren't wanting to flip it one way or the other, you can, because here you can flip it vert horizontally, you can flip it vertically. And if you want to change the size of it this way, if you go from the corner that will change the size without changing the dimensions. However, if you are going to go from the top or bottom or the sides here, then you will. Alright, so that's kinda cool because you're going to want to possibly change some things around that way as well. When I'm gonna do here is I'm gonna take this, I am going to finish rotating it. Okay? And I'm going to kind of use this as a background. Alright, so kind of take that and maybe I'll take the color. And okay, I kinda like that one, right? So I've got my image set, I'm just gonna go ahead and lock it into place. Okay, this way, it won't move around if I'm trying to work with some other stuff. So let's bring a couple of other things. N. So I will bring in that paint smudge OR brushstroke or whatever it is you want to call it. And I will also bring in I will bring that in. And I'll kind of push that off to the side a little bit. And I will bring one more in. I'm going to bring in this paint splatter. Okay? So I'm only gonna play with this for right now. And this is what we're going to do in so far as less is more. So I might just go ahead and place this right in the corner. Okay. Right in the corner. And I am going to change the color of it a little bit. So let's see what I feel like doing. Okay? So we'll kind of keep it like that, right? I might change the opacity a little bit. And so what I am going to do is I'm going to duplicate that. And I am going to flip it. And I'm going to bring it. And this is what I mean by not bringing in too many elements at one time, because then you just kinda have to start moving them out of the way. Alright. So we're going to bring it here and we will place it. Let's see. If you move things around a little bit. You can kind of see where like this, these little lines come in. They start to tell you about where you are in the document. Okay. Here we go. Often like that. And you don't have to keep this this way. And here's something else we can do. We can duplicate that. Alright, and on and on. We can make it a little bit smaller. And maybe we can change the color of that a little bit. And create kind of this funky little overlap effect may be even. Fade that out a little bit. Alright, something like that. And we can duplicate that and kind of do the same thing. On the other side. We would flip it and flip it again. Okay. And we can take something like this. And so what would we do with this? Well, we can do whatever it is we want with it. So in this case, what I would probably do is I probably want to thin it out a little bit. Maybe. This case, this is where rotating it this way might come in. Alright, and maybe I would want to, I don't know, create a different color. If I wanted to, I'm kind of into the whole kinda like blues and stuff right now. Alright, so maybe we can create another version of that and kind of throw it in here, something to that effect. And maybe we can even create a couple of other versions of it. All right. And in so far as if you happen to be feeling like, oh my god, she's not teaching me anything. I'm just like watching her play on the internet. Okay. Let me just tell you guys, this is what you are supposed to be doing. You're supposed to be playing on the internet. This is how you learn, this is how I've learned and this is how you become proficient at this kind of thing. Okay? So it's very important that you quote unquote, watch me play on the Internet. Because again, this is how you are going to learn how to do this stuff. Okay? So it's just a little something I wanted to throw in there. Alright, I'm gonna go ahead. I'm gonna take the liberty of kinda pushing that back a little bit. Okay? And will do, maybe I'll go ahead and create some different color options with this one. Okay? Something like that. Maybe I'll even push that one behind a little bit. Alright. And then I might take something like this. And this is how, this is how we just kinda get good at stuff. Okay? And this is why I said, I want you to have fun with this. I don't want this to be a big drag of a project. I don't want you to over-complicate the process. I want you to enjoy what you're doing. Okay? So, and we can, again, we can change the color of this. Alright? And we can create maybe a duplicate of it, maybe make it a little bit smaller. Okay, and I'm not gonna do this but for so long guys really. Again, the idea is just just too, like I said, have some fun with it. All right. Maybe I'll kinda throw that in there. Yes, I know it's going off the screen, but again, you know what? You kind of need to have a little fun playing outside the lines. Ok. So I'm going to bring one more, I'll bring one more image in. Okay. And that image will be that we do that little paint splatter. Okay. And I'll duplicate it a couple of times and all flip it. Ok. And actually you know what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna take this one and I'm gonna push it back a little bit. There we go. Okay, so what we have done here is I have created, we have created just a different, you know, little abstract art design, just taking some shapes, kinda thrown them in their changing colors around changing sizes, overlapping a few things. Okay? What we're gonna do here is we are going to call this high zap AB tract art. Okay? And we're gonna go ahead and we're going to save it. All right, now, I showed you the 11 by 14 converted into pixel that a 96 dpi would be 1056 by 1344. And they're telling you that's high-quality, you'd have to have a pro version. The standard version, which again is probably around May 75 be 72 that they will allow you to have for free. So we're gonna go ahead and save it anyway. Okay, and now that we have saved it, I am going to show you how else to work with it. 22. Using the Paint Feature: Alright, so before I go ahead and bring this back in and show you what else you can do is further editing options. I do realize I kind of forgot to show you that whole paint thing. So real quick, you would come in here, you would click on paint. You can choose your brush size here, okay? You can even change the blur and you have one option, which is basically a paint. It just paints wash, ok. You can change your color here. Alright, so I will go with something we don't really have here. Maybe we'll go with this really bright red color and you can always kinda change things around here as well. Okay, let's do that. So what you can do, you can create little little paint defects. Ok? And you think this is, there's really nothing I can do with this. Stuff you can do with this. Alright? There's stuff you can do with this. And in fact, I'm gonna go ahead and I'm even going to save it. Paints pies up abstract or with eight. Okay? And we will save it. Because I just wanted to let you know that you can certainly add that in if you wanted to, alright? And if you decide this is just not your thing, but you had fun playing around with it. You can just kind of undo it. But just so you know, the more little dots you put in, the more you're going to have to undo. All right, so now we're going to bring this image, Becky, and I'll show you what else you can do with it. 23. More Creative Editing Options in PiZap: Alright guys, so as you can see, we've finished creating the design and added some of those little paint splotches in. And I went ahead and save it. What we're gonna do now is we're going to bring it back in and we're going to do some more creative stuff with it. In this case, what you would end up doing, you could either go to edit photo or touch up. I am going to go to touch up and we are going to bring the image back in. So as you can see, I brought it in using our transparent background, okay, because that's exactly how I saved it. And in this case, because of the fact that we're working with an image rather than bringing in a graphic and trying to create a whole new image out of it, a whole new design out of it. When you hit basic, it's going to bring up all of these different options. Okay, so what we can do here is we can just kind of play around and what I would suggest is find stuff that you like and then save versions of it this way you'll have them ok, it's unlimited. You can save as many as you want. So in this case, you can do things like lipid, you can rotate it. And I would be mindful, always pay attention to this, okay, because on some programs the undo and redo are going to be very generous with you. But as you can see here, I just flipped it and it's not giving me an undo. So just every time you use this program, just kinda be mindful and take a look here and see whether or not it's something you will be able to undo in this case, I'm going to go ahead and make it back to normal. You can crop it, you can rotate it. Ok. You can certainly straighten it. Basically just like you can tilt it if you'd like. You can do all kinds of cool stuff there. Alright, and then if you need to, you can just reset it. You can do some auto adjusting which will kind of brighten it up a little bit. And in that case it is giving you the undo version of that, but I actually kinda like it. Alright, you can adjust the brightness and reset it. So pretty much anything you are working on here, it should give you the opportunity to reset it. Alright, you can increase the contrast which I kinda like there. Alright? You can decrease the temperature. And as you can see here, it gives you, just gives you a totally different look, which is kinda neat. Okay? Saturation, right? You can soften things up. Make them a little bit blurrier. All right, I'll go ahead and reset that. And I'll reset that. Actually all just reset that. You can change the hue. Ok, create multiple versions of this, right? I'm not entirely sure with noice. Ok. I kinda like that. It's already gives it like a metallic look to it. Okay. I'm going to know what I think. I'm going to kind of keep that a little bit, keeps some of it. Alright, we've got how much red you either give it or take it the way. Same thing with the green and the blue. Alright. So guys, this is pretty much what you can do here. Right? You can always go through, you can reset, you can do more auto adjusting. But basically you can come in here and just sort of do all these different little things. You also have some filters here. The only problem with the filter situation, I have, I actually have found that that could possibly interfere with whether or not you're going to keep that transparent background, as you can see, it actually gave it like a black background. So I'm not really sure that that is what you would wanna do. However, if you don't care about keeping a transparent background, this might be something really interesting for you to play with. So just stuff that you can do. I am going to undo all of those and it took me back to normal. All right. So guys, that's what I would tell you to do. Just bring the image back in here, have some fun with it. I think I actually think I kinda just took it back to everything here. Okay. Yes, it looks like I just did what it was that I kinda liked that noise feature. Let's, let's have some more noise with it. Alright, I'll just kinda aisle here, will do that. Okay, I'm gonna go ahead. I'm going to save it. And we'll do the AB extract BID TO ART pies app, and we'll do Edit. Okay. Alright, so we'll keep it. Going to save it as a computer again is a PNG. And there we go. Alright, still got the transparent backs. So as you can see here, even though they look black and everything before it's still got the transparent background. Okay? So what I'm gonna do is I'm going to introduce you to yet another free program. We're going to bring this image back in and we're going to play around with it a little more. 24. Introducing Lunapic For More Free Design Options: All right. So guys, this is a website called Luna pick. Luna pick is totally free. Perhaps some of you have heard of it, maybe you haven't. I don't know. You don't have to register anything, you don't have to download anything. And in fact, actually for this one, you don't even have to create any kind of a free account, you can just start using it. And in this case, what we're gonna do is I'm just going to show you some interesting little features that you can use in this website to create some more design options for yourself. Give you more things that you can kind of play with. You will be absolutely stunned to see what you can kind of transform what we just created into using this website. Alright, so what we're gonna do here is you can, we're going to edit a photo, alright, so you can either upload it here or you can go to File and New blink image actually, or you can just upload here, which is what we're gonna do. Okay, it'll bring it to the quick upload page. You will choose your file. Alright, I just brought the image in, this one that we just went back over and re-edited. As you can see here, it's got this whole transparent background that we can work with. And I know it's a little bit large here. All right, what I would suggest you do is if you really don't want to mess with the size of the image, which I kind of wooden. What you can do is you can hit Control and the minus sign, alright, and if you wanted to, you can actually kind of make your screen a little bit smaller. So that way you'll be able to see more of it in there. If you ever want to make your screen bigger, you can hit the control and the plus button at the same time, it'll kinda zoom in. And that is something I would probably encourage you to do. Okay, rather than mess with the, you know, what the size or the scale of the image here. The reason is because I just want to keep things as uncomplicated as possible. All right. And we're not going to be doing anything to just 11 portion of the image. It's going to be to the entire image. So you'll be able to do and just kinda scroll up and down and sort of see what it is that you're doing. That's just my thoughts. All right, you can do with this. What you want. What we're gonna do here is we can go to effects and we can kind of view all of the effects are right. But what I wanna do is you've got all these different things you can do here. I mean, for, let's just go to kaleidoscope real quick. And what I'm gonna do is I'm going to encourage you come back to this website when you've had some time again, it will cost you anything but time and play around. Alright, so now that it is done processing the image, you can see what it has done. It created just an entirely different effect. Alright? You can add more sides. And every time you add another side or take away another side, it's going to give you a different effect. Alright, so this is what it looks like having added one more side to it, okay. And look at it. It's kinda neat. It's no longer transparent. You have to understand. It's going to change things a little bit, but it's just really cool what you can do here, okay? And then I would encourage you, you know, you can totally see R, it will do one more. We'll go to three. It Bill. Right? And you can see what it looks like there. Okay? So it's just something that you can play with. And again, you would go to effects. You can go to all the, all these kinds of things I actually kinda do like the kaleidoscope, I've seen it do some really interesting things to the designs, okay. But you can see actually adding the little paint splotches and it did some kinda cool to it. You know, when you are looking at it from this perspective, you can always undo our eight and it's going to just sort of bring you back to your starting place. Okay? And then something else you can do here, okay? If you go to art, for example. Okay. I like to go to the Picasso and it's shortages brings up all of these options. Okay? And what you can do here, it's like looking at what it did. It totally transform the image all over again. Okay, yes, it did. It took away the transparent background. That's OK. All right, the idea here is to just play around. Alright, and this isn't, you know, like each time I hit one of these, it's not doing this on top of what it did before. It's doing it instead of what it did before. Okay, so you can kind of come in here and create all these different effects and you're not layering. If you wanted to layer, you would save it and then bring it back in and then hit one of these and then you would start to actually layer the effects. Okay? So guys, I mean, it's just something for you to look at how patterned in texture that looks. Okay. So just, just for some perspective, this is what we created. And this is, this is what just by bringing it in and hitting a few buttons, This is what we were able to turn it into. Ok. I'll do maybe one more. Alright, let's do, I don't know, let's do the landscape, Right? I actually kinda like that color scheme. I personally don't usually like really loud colors. That's just me. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with them. You might love them and that is absolutely fine. Ok. And then of course, you can come in here and you can kind of adjusted like it doesn't have to be totally like that and this'll take it back to normal. So there you go. And then you can always again undo the effect. But what we're gonna do here is I'm actually going to save this, okay? So in this case you would scroll down, okay, actually, no, you won't find it here. What you would do here, you'd go to File, Save Image. Okay? I would go ahead and save it as a PNG. And what I would do is I would locate that in your downloads and I would rename it right away. Okay. Now, one other thing, we can actually let me go here, transparent background. Okay? Now if you wanted to, you can kind of play with this tool. It works beautifully in a lot of cases, but in some cases it can be a little bit tricky. Alright? So if you want to make this a transparent background, you do this in a couple different ways. You can either click on a color to make it transparent, which is what we're gonna do. They do have a magic wand and an eraser. You can create shapes. And then of course they do have a video tutorial on that. What we're gonna do here though is I'm just going to click right there. And what it's gonna do is it's going to take everything around that kind of looks like that color. And it's gonna do the best that candid take it away. So as you can see, it did it here. However, we can create more transparency by sliding this. It's just you want to be careful that it doesn't go when they're in total. She destroy your design. Ok. So again, guys, it is an option. You can sort of, I don't know, you can kinda help this process along a little bit, you know, by maybe downloading it each time you want to bring it in. And then you would perhaps just click on a different section. That way it won't necessarily interfere with what's going on in here. But again, guys, we're using free tools and we're total beginners, but this is a way to take your image and again, make it transparent. Alright, so these are just a couple little extra things I wanted to show you of what you can do with your design. Alright, so as you can see, like the sky is the limit. And I am going to show you what you can do with both the original and the new version that we just downloaded and haven't renamed in print full as an all over print design, I think maybe we'll do some flip flops, we'll see what else we can get into. So guys, I will see you over there after the next section. 25. Introduction to Canva: Okay, so I went ahead. I saved the design in, I picky, but now I wanted to come over here to a website called canvas dot com. Okay. And the reason I came here is because I wanted to show you that you can use multiple programs to create really cool artwork. Okay, I'm gonna do here really quick as I'm going to create a design. And what I did before was I created 11 by 14. So I'm going to go 11 by 14. We're not doing pixels in this one. We're doing inches and we'll go ahead and put that in there, because why not have got all the time in the world and create the design? Okay, well, I did say one of the requirements was to have a working Internet connection. Let's refresh that. And there we go. 26. Creating A Different Design Using the Same Graphics: So the reason I wanted to also show you that you can create something like this in Canberra is because I can become partial to any one particular design program. But if for some reason you can't use that design program, maybe it's down. Maybe there's a flash thing that's not working right? I don't want you guys to feel like you can't do it, Okay? You're taking the course, and I want you to feel like you've got some options. So what I did was I took the liberty of bringing in the elements that I used before, okay? And I'm just going to bring them in, and we're going to go through this just a little bit quicker. I love can va. I really, really do. And I absolutely love can va. But I do feel that I picky offers better. I don't know, just mawr expansive design options, but you can still do really cool things with Camba. Okay, so here I brought this one in, and in this case, let's just say I wanted to, you know, adjust contrast, and you could do also do other things with the brightness and you notice how when I just made that darker. How it brought out the little grey elements much, much better. Okay, saturation. So you can take these, and you can do some really cool things with a MUS. Well, a change out the tent. You can change out the blur as well. That's weird. Okay, so you've got something like that, or you can just go ahead and reset it. All right? You've got have been yet, feature. I wouldn't do that on this particular designed, though. Okay, Um, and then you would take something like that, you could duplicate it, and same thing. You can flip it horizontally, vertically. That's if you wanted to keep it exactly the same. Okay, there. You've got something like that. All right. Could take this, which I had made is the background of the other one. You can take that here. All right. And maybe you decide You want to keep that that color, but you could duplicate it, and you can flip it, and you can adjust other things. Okay. Something like that. Get a little brighter you want. There you go. All right. Pick up a couple of splatters and you've got filters to the filters. may or may not do certain things to he's tend to offer, like, some slightly more subtle effects. Okay, but you can still do really cool stuff with, um Okay, maybe in this case, I don't know. We didn't really throw lake a black colored element in there before. Maybe we could do something like that, all right. And you could always duplicate that as well. And again, you can flip it. Remember how I had kind of lined him up in the last one to create that? Okay. And you can add in another one what's in you can make things diagonal a swell, you know? I mean, you don't have to just flip it one way or another. You always want to look, I showed you that and the other program, but you can use it there as well. Maybe make this one a little bit smaller. If you notice here in Cannes, va. Okay, you can adjust the size, but it's always going to stay in proportion. So if you try to drag it out this way, it's gonna cut off certain certain elements. Where is in? I picky. It had, you know, either made it longer or wider, and in Canada it's not going to do it. Okay, however, you can still make it work. Like if I do that, it just made it different, a little bit different. It just made it different. Okay? And we can adjust. Let's see here. We can adjust the coloring on that as well. Okay, A tent. I do honestly find the tent options in the other program to be a little bit more expansive . Eso where is like perhaps, if you're using can va you know, you might want to drag in some additional elements where you can see and I picky you were kind of able to change them all together. However, again, it's art and I, you know, I listen to I listen to this one guy on YouTube who he runs like a Stephen King. You know, Channel. He talks about Stephen King books and stuff and he, you know, he says stuff like, you know, about how art is subjective and I totally agree with him on that. Okay, art is subjective. What you find stunning and amazing somebody else may or may not like and vice versa. That's why I'm saying don't don't be. Don't be hard on yourself. And don't be a perfectionist. And that's part of why I love abstract art. Because you can end up with a whole bunch of happy mistakes that you just really never saw coming. As you can see, I'm just kind of playing around here, all right? And you can layer and layer and layer and do all kinds of fun stuff here, okay? And create something totally different. And I would suggest it, you know, I would suggest it may be you create one type of design on I picky, and you could take the exact same elements and create something totally different on, you know, on camera. Okay, let's duplicate that. And maybe we will flip it all right and change things out here if you make it much, much brighter. Something to that effect. OK, here we go. And like I said, as you can see, I'm just kind of I'm just kind of playing here. Let's do something a little different with this in this picture, though, uh, throat here. Okay. I actually really like that color. I'll tell you what I would prefer, though I would prefer to fade it So here is your fade option. Maybe I would fade that in a little bit. Okay, if I wanted to, I do happen to like the detail. It's just with all of this stuff again. I would have totally cut those in three. But as we know, I didn't. And then you can take it. And in this case, your position. If I wanted to send it backwards, I would do it here, okay? And so now it kind of partially disappears. It's actually in between this this pink watercolor splotch and then the gray one that I duplicated. But it gives it a very interesting effect. Okay, so what I would do? Let's see. Here. Let's grab that one. Right. That add a little bit of contrast. Okay. And hopes I have to keep remembering. This is the duplicate button there. Let's flip it, make it a little smaller. Kind of makes it look like a totally different little design element, but it's gonna especially look different when I do that. Perhaps that on No, no, that Okay. And we can take it duplicated and flip it and throw it over here. And maybe we will, but that behind okay. And so here. We've got a totally different design, but it's really cool. Okay? And if you wanted to and if you wanted to, you would be able to take this entire thing, download it as one regular picture, okay? And then you can even take this bringing, and I picky and start playing around with all of those other options. Okay. And I would say again, have some fun with it. Let's bring another one of these in here. We'll flip it around. You know, I physically created I actually came bid, um, on canvas, just using acrylic paints. I painted a like a splatter picture, and I showed it to my dad. He's like, Were you angry when you painted that? Unlike, actually, No. I was having fun with it, but it's funny when I said artists objective. Whereas I would look at paints, Bladder is carefree and, you know, kind of loose and free. You know, somebody else could look out. It is is angry art. Okay, that's what I'm saying. Guys have fun with this, all right? You're not trying to reach everybody, all right? You're taking what's inside of you, and you are bringing it. You're bringing it to life. Okay, so here you have it. A big, splotchy, abstract painting. But seriously, I think it's really cool. You see stuff like this on pillows, You know, you see stuff like this on all kinds of things. All right? Just while canvases, whatever. So what, I'm gonna dio gonna save it, Going to call it ab abstract art. All right, That's just a name I'm coming up with. You want to make sure you click out of that? And what you're gonna do in Canada are a real quick. Let me just tell you this. Okay? In Canada, unless you're using the pro version, this is gonna have a white background. Okay, So I like I pick me because you can, for free use the program and have the transparent background. However, in Camba, it's gonna be a white background. So a design like this and you can always do their 30 days for free and create a few designs . See how you like it. Otherwise, it's like 12 95 a month. You may love it. You may not love it. I don't really know, but it would certainly give you the option to play around with it. But this something like this would be a digital download or wall art. Okay, with the transparent background, that's where you'd be able to create, say, like, your print on demand products. Okay, so you would be able to put something like this. I don't know. Maybe on a like a white mug, um, or anything that has a white background, you would certainly be able to put it on. You know, a framed picture. You'd be able to print this right out from your you know, from your printer. If you've got color graphics, you know, in your in your printer colored ink, you'd be able to print this right out and put it right in a frame, put it up, okay, or create canvas art out of it or something to that effect. But if you were wanting to put it like on a T shirt or Hoody or something like that, I would probably recommend you Don't, because there's no guarantee that the white on the back of this is gonna match the white on the T shirt toward the other garment. Okay, so that's just some food for thought, and it's also why I tend to kind of gravitate more toward I picky. However, you can still create some really cool stuff here on camera. And again, if you're using the pro tool, I would choose the transparent background option and make sure that you name that. Make sure that you know the size, Okay, 11 by 14 inches, and then you would go ahead and download it. And I would probably go ahead, grab TNG. But it's not gonna cost you anything to go ahead and also grab the J. P. G. And if you were wanting to sell them as PDFs, go ahead, grab the pdf print as well, because that is something you can also upload into your Etsy store, okay? 27. Create A Transparent Background For the Canva Image Using Lunapic: So we have our design right here from Canva. Okay, now I'm gonna take this background and also make it transparent. So we're back and luna pick Alright, I'm back on the Homepage. We are going to go back to edit, hit transparent background. And actually what we're going to have to do here is just go ahead and upload this file. So I brought the image in. And as you can see here, it actually gives you the opportunity. You can crop it, scale it, rotate it, you can make it transparent right from this page. So I'm gonna hit transparent. And it's going to take it, it kinda has its own little default transparency threshold. But look at what it did here. Alright, it basically took this image and it gave it a transparent background. And to be honest with you, I don't feel the need to readjust anything here. So if I wanted to go and save that, I could always hit the save button. Alright, so this is a PNG and that's exactly how it saved it or I can go back and save it manually. Okay. 28. How to Determine Image Resolution: All right, so we're going to go over some resolution information. Okay? I'm going to talk about the size of the picture real quick, and you know the quality of it. All right, So I am on a website right now called Get paint dot Net. And the bad news is, it is Onley available for PC users, PC laptop, whatever. So it's it's not available for Mac or IOS users. So if you have an apple, this is not going to work for you. Okay. However, if you don't have an apple, um, you would go ahead, you would download this. It is totally free, and you just simply install it and it works beautifully. I'm gonna go over that in just a minute, all right? However, if you do not have a PC and you do have a Mac, Okay, this is stuff. You guys, I have to go over it anyway. All right. So real quick. I want to show you some. We went toe. I picky before I created my 11 by 14. And this is you know, according to I picky, this is what the width and the height would be. Okay. It just kind of sets it by default and then most of the time. And I know I've always done this, you know, I sort of trust that it knows what it's doing, and it's a fantastic program. Will watch this. So I went over to canvas before, and I typed in the 11 by 14 inches. OK, it's the same thing. 11 by 14 11 by 14 inches inches. But you see, right, that right there 15 71 by 2000 pixels. Okay, Now, if you have a can of a pro, you would be able to increase the resolution here. All right, but we don't have camera pro right now, and I did use it. I did use camp a pro, and it did allow you to increase the resolution on your right as you would download it. Okay, but we're using free tools here. So while I absolutely love can va, um, I would tell you it would definitely be my second choice. Is faras creating actual art? Okay, you can create beautiful images, and if you don't really need to blow them up and, you know, turn them into super high quality images using the free version. Okay? um, then you would be fine. They're great social graphics, all of that other stuff. And I do think that the design that we created before could still do some really cool things. All right. But I wouldn't necessarily recommend this unless you go through this following step. Okay, so I went into Google. I typed in 300 dp i in pixels. Okay. And I found this. This is pixel calculator dot com went here, and what I did was I changed that two inches and there is a 14. There's an 11. I wanted a 300. We calculate that, Okay. And we see that if we want a 300 d p, i we would need 3300 by 4200 pixels. Okay, so what does that mean? That means if you want to use can va to create, like that really super cool design that we just did. Okay, which in the class we were just kind of playing around. Unless you really loved it, which I did. Actually, I did. But in this case, what we did, we would go in here, we would choose pixels. Okay. And what was that again? I think it Waas and forgive me. I actually don't know all of this off the top of my head. 3300 by 4200. Okay, so what we're gonna do is 3300 I 4200 and we would create our 11 by 14. This way. Okay, so now if you want to download it, that's what you would get. You wouldn't need to go through the process of having to try to resize this into a 300 BP. I when it's all said and done. Okay. Same thing here. All right, this is telling you that it's 31 43. I've made plenty of 11 by sevens on I picky, and they said beautifully. I'm sorry. A living by fourteens and I picky without messing with these numbers. They fit beautifully. However, you could change that and it would be fine. Okay, transparent background create. But let's just say at the end of all of it you want to you know, you didn't go through those steps and you want to go ahead and increase the resolution afterwards. Then in the next video, I'm going to show you how get paint, not networks 29. Get Paint Image Resize Tool: So I have opened paint dot Net. This is what it looks like when it's all open. Okay, What I'm going to do here is I'm going to drag in an image, okay? And let's see here. This is what the actually really cool. You can kind of go through and see all the dimensions of these pictures, right? So I'm gonna pull in this 15 71 by 2000 that we had originally created in Canberra. Okay, what we're gonna do here is we're going to go to image resize. All right, So if I were to have that clicked and I'm going to go right in here, I'm gonna type in a 300 right? If I maintain the aspect ratio, what that does is it turned it into a five by 24 by a 6.67 I don't want it to do that. All right, so I'm gonna Owen click that, and I am going to turn this into a 14. No, Excuse me. 11 I 14. Okay. And so that's what I have here. 11 by 14 300 d p. I and you can see here that pixels are matched. We would go, OK. And it's real simple. All right. You would save as okay, So if you wanted to save this is a PNG. What I would do here is I would they've been 300 dp i and save it. Remember this gonna have the white background. Okay. And if you want it is a J peg. You could do the same thing, save as right, but it's already gonna be in the 300. It'll already be there in the title. So in this case, you would just go ahead and hit J Peg. All right, and there you have it. 30. Printful Intro: Okay, guys, we have now entered into the part of the course where I'm going to talk to you about how you can make some physical products. And I'm not just talking about wall campuses and that kind of thing, You know, your normal art. I'm talking about print on demand products. You know, we're gonna go over Lake all over T shirts will probably show you pair of flip flops and maybe a couple other things. All right, I am starting off with a website called Print Full Print Feliz, A print on demand company. It is totally free to sign up with them and start using their program. And you will have the information to that. The link. Everything in the resource is area. Okay. And here you can see they've got a lot of products. All right, so it's men's clothing. Women's kids in youth, they've got hats. The hats were not really going to get into That's embroidery, um, accessories, home, living collections, all this kind of stuff. They've got even like some ICO friendly stuff here. Okay, They've got different services that you can always look at integrations. So let's just say if you have a Shopify store or commerce plug in. Maybe for your website, you can certainly integrate your printable products into these types of things. Okay, Wicks. And as you can see here, you see new new. And they're always adding really cool stuff in. So they're always growing, and they're always expanding online marketplaces. You've got Etsy, Amazon, E Bay Store, envy, wish and Bonanza. I have integrated mine into, etc. EBay and store envy. And it's been a seamless process. And they've got a ton of videos walking you through exactly how to go about that. I will make sure you guys have access to it. Okay, Step by step. Kind of stuff. How it works. What we're going to do today, though, is we're going to go to the mock up generator. But first, I wanted to just kind of mention something real quick. You can see up here. All right, conceive this little announcement there and at the time of this course recording, you know, it's march of 2020 and we've we've got some stuff going on out in the world. I'm not going to get into it too much. I'm sure you know what it is and part of the reason I'd say Actually, a big reason why I was truly inspired to put this course together and why I am so excited to even get into what we're going to do right now is because this is uplifting creative work. And it's not just a cool thing to do as, like, a hobby or as grown up arts and craft, Okay, but it's another way to start an online business model. All right, so perhaps, you know, maybe you've taken my art portables course. And, you know, you wanted to maybe step things up, expand your knowledge, and that's why I'm really excited to put this together, okay? Cause you're gonna be able to create some entirely different products out of this. And when it comes to places like etc. I mean, you can have multiple stores and there was actually an article late come across in one of the blog's talking about how to navigate through multiple EP etc shops, and I'll make sure that I give you that info is Well, all right, but we're going to go into the mock up generator and we're gonna look for a product 31. Standard All Over Print Shirt: So the first thing I am going to show you is we're going to do an all over print shirt, okay? And this is like a said. I was so excited when I figured this out. I didn't know how to do all over prints, stuff. I knew how to do digital designs. I did not know how to create things to do all over print. And I am going to show you some really cool ways that you can work this. Okay, we're gonna go to all over print shirts. I went with women's right because of the design that we created together. And I'm just gonna go for this basic all over print. Womens crew, neck, T shirt. You can see what they're starting prices or four. You would. Certainly, When you integrate these into your store, they're going to give you, like, suggested prices, and you can raise your profit margin lower at whatever it is that you want to do. You can choose your shipping. It tells you right here when you can expect they would be ready in to be shipped out once the order is placed and we're just gonna go ahead and click that. Okay, so what we would do here? This is important, guys, because I always forget to do this. So you see that stitch color right here? I happen to know off the top of my head that, you know, the designs that we worked with there really wasn't a whole lot of black in them. There was no more lighter colors. I'm gonna go ahead and hit white, okay? You can always change it. And the stitch color is not even something you would really see very much of. But they want you to have that. They want that info before they'll even generate your Markham's. You were going to go to design, and I took the liberty of already uploading this transparent design that we created together. And as you can see here, it's already good quality. Okay, so if I were to leave it just like this All right, this is the front. That's your collar. Hi. And then you'll see back. Let's leave. Right sleeve. Okay. And you can click on these. You'll be able to see what they look like, ever. We can make this even easier. And we can take this and duplicated they're on the back. So now that layer has been duplicated on the back. What I usually like to do is I might take the back here and flip it. This is gonna be flipping it horizontally and that. What? That way it's not 100% the same. Okay, on both sides, it's a little bit more cohesive. All right. Could take the left sleeve. You can duplicate, go back to the front, weaken, duplicate this exact pattern here on the left sleeve, and then we can also duplicate it on the right sleeve. And then I would also take that. Go to the right sleeve. And I would also flip that right. So again, if we just left it as is this is what it would look like. Okay. And as you can see, it's actually really cool. This is on a white T shirt background. Now, if you want to go to the print area background color, what it's going to do like we choose black. No, let's go back to the mock up you. And that's what it looks like on a black T shirt. Okay, so what's actually kind of cool is you could take this and create, like, multiple versions out of it. Just doing that. Okay, I think it's kind of cool. You can see little bits of the black coming through, all right? And what they usually do is they give you models. You know, in the mock up generator, you'll see that where you could see different angles. Okay, So as far as your basic all over all Hoover print, you add the design and leave it and then just apply it to all of the different areas of the shirt. You don't have to add it everywhere. You can just leave it on the front. You could do the front in the back and leave the sleeves alone. I mean, this is just one of those things you can totally play with and be is creative with it, as you want. 32. More Advanced and Creative Techniques with All Over Print Shirts: So now that you've seen how the all standard, I'm just gonna call this like, your standard all over print shirt. You see how that works? Now I am going to show you something else, okay? And just to not make life totally typical for myself here, I'm going to try to actually get rid of that. You know, get rid of this. I'm starting all over from scratch. But wait till you see what I am about to dio. Okay, so let's go back to the front. All right, so we got the front. I'm gonna make this a little smaller here. I'm gonna make that a little smaller, and we're gonna make a pattern. So this is actually a new or feature here. So if you decide and they've got all these different patterns that you could choose from here, So I mean, you could do that. You could make it totally off balance. You could do all kinds of stuff with it. And as you can see, what it does is it takes it and applies it to the collar. Okay, You can take this spacing tool here and you can bring him apart. You can bring them closer together. And I actually kind of like the bits of color kind of seeping through, Okay. And so if we go back here, all right, we can actually take this and go ahead and duplicate this exact same thing on the back now , okay? And if we wanted to say, flip that, it would look like that. And then we could do the exact same things on the sleeves. All right, so let's do that sleeve. Well, duplicate that also on the right sleeve, and I'm gonna flip it again and let's see what it looks like. So there you go. All right, so we just took the exact same design, and we created an entirely different looking product out of it, okay? And it's one of those things. You would just continue to play around with it and see how you feel about it. Okay. What would it look like on a dark gray shirt if you and it has an entirely different look on a gray shirt. Okay. So what's important here? I mean, I know you get the idea. There's a couple things to take away from this entire process here, and I'm gonna go to flip flops next because I think I did some really interesting looking things with the flip flops as well. But what's important to take away from this? Number one, you create one design number two. You can take that design. You can throw it back, and I picky, and you can create multiple versions of that design just by changing out the paper. The backgrounds. What have you three. You can come here to print ful, and you can create multiple and I mean multiple versions of a shirt. Okay, just just this one basic shirt here. You could do all these different things with whether you're placing the design differently , adding a pattern, taking a pattern away, you know, space and it closer together, further apart and even changing the background. You know, the color of the T shirt itself. All right, so that's the take away here. What does this mean to you? This means that not only can you create multiple products and test the mount, see what you like the best. But if you happen to get really bored, this will keep you busy for a while, OK? There is no room for boredom with this type of creative process. So, guys, the next thing I'm gonna do is we're gonna go look for some flip flops. 33. Generating Files For Your Mockups: Alright, guys. So what we're gonna do, we're gonna leave here and, like, if you I think I know that there's a way that you can save your designs here. Or at least I'm pretty sure there is. Um, but actually, before we go into that before I go into anything else, what you need to do is you would need to if you loved this all right, cause this is the mark of generator. You would hit that generate files button. Okay. And what it's going to do is it's going to give you all these options. Is faras like what styles you want to save. So you've got the mock ups of this woman standing here modeling the shirt from all angles. You could do your flat mock ups and you could do a flat lifestyle mock up, And that is really cool because especially starting out if you don't want to have to start paying for mock ups, these are very helpful. In fact, print falls mock up generator has to be one of the best mock up generator options that gives you a bunch of free stuff that you could use, and I have personally found it so helpful. And if you want to hang onto the print files, you can certainly do that. Okay? And normally you would see the picture here. I'm not sure why. All right, you would want to name it so that you know exactly what it is that you have saved. And what you can do here is you can save it either as a j pay or you can save it as a PNG. Of course, you can generate two sets of files. You're gonna save it. It's going to save itself Is a zip file. Okay, so you would generate the files. If you do the PNG option, they're gonna have a transparent background, not the lifestyle ones, but all of the other ones will have a transparent background, so you can go ahead and throw them on top of, you know, different, different backgrounds. If you wanted Teoh like I've piled up the Flatley T shirts before, Uh, and if you end up pushing the product to a store like if you create the product and push it to the store, they'll also push over, You know, some mock up photos for you, but then you can always take the ones that you've saved in the generator and add those as well. Okay, sometimes it could take a little minute until it generates the mock ups for you. Okay. And what you would do is you would download the files. You can save it to the library. Okay. And this way, that stuff is there for you when you are ready to use it. Okay, whoever what we're going to do here is we're just gonna go back and look for a different product. We are going to look at lip flops. 34. Replicate Mockup Designs to Your Products: Hey guys, somebody had asked me a question having to do with printable and their mockup generator, the sizing and resolution of images. And how can you make sure that the image that you create in the mockup generator is the exact same thing that you put on your product. Ok, I've got other videos and courses and stuff on principle and their mockup generator, and I'll link to all of that in the description box below. But in this case, I am going to answer this question specifically. Why would I tell people to use the mockup generator if they aren't a 100% sure that there'll be able to duplicate the exact same thing on their product listing. And I'm gonna tell you why. I'm actually going to show you why in this video. Okay, this all has to do with the print file that you save. Okay? I am on the principal homepage and what I'm gonna do here is I'm going to hit mockup generator. And as you can see, I'm signed in, you would need to have a free account to use this. Okay. So what I'm gonna do real quick here is I'm just going to, this had to do with my How to Create until digital abstract art course. And it was for an all over print product and design. So I am going to go ahead and just duplicate that. Okay? So we've got the all overprint shirt here. You always want to make sure they won't even show you the mockup until you choose your stitch color. So just go ahead and choose a stitch color. Alright, you can always change it later. Alright, we're going to go to design. Okay, I'm going to choose the file. And in this particular course, this was the design, one of the designs that I had chosen. Ok. And as you can see here, alright, so again, this isn't all overprint product. So the design that I created wasn't necessarily for just the design itself, for an all overprint product. Ok. But we were able to create an all overprint product out of the design. The course itself was how to create digital abstract art. This is the art, but I did create all over print products out of it. And I'm going to show you how I did it, okay? Average DPI here. You can see this image is too small to cover this entire image and have it be of high print quality. Okay, right here, if you took it and you dragged it because here according to this is answering the question as far as your DPI and everything, when you bring your image into print full, Print Full is going to tell you once you upload it to your product, whether or not it's good, what they consider good is a 120 and over would be considered good. You'd see it here in green. Anything less than that? It would say average. It would be in yellow as you saw a little bit ago. Okay. That's telling you your print quality. Alright? So again, this isn't meant to be just the image itself was not meant to be an all over print, but we're going to create an all over print out of it by making a pattern. Okay, so you can kind of see what you can do here with patterns. And actually if you spaced it, unspliced it, we're gonna create, we're gonna keep a little bit of see-through stuff here. I'll show you why in a minute. Alright? So you can create all kinds of different, different like designs out of the design, okay? Something like that as kinda cool. Alright, again, you can play around with the spacing. Alright? So what we're gonna do, we'll go back to design tools. You can, let me see here really quick. Okay. You can change the background color. So like if you did this, you know, you can create different versions of the same product. All right? And really quick, if I chose the mockup view, we're just going to show you this from the front row quick. Okay. Takes a little minute. Then. We didn't do the sleeves yet, but it is an option. You do have the option to create an all overprint situation just on maybe the front of the shirt, sleeves in the back, you know, not done or eight. However, you can always do the left sleeve. Let me see here. Wait, let me go back. Go back. Alright. What you would do in this case here is you would duplicate, scroll down. You can take this exact thing here. You duplicate the left sleeve and this is pretty much the process you go through. And we'll just kinda change that background color real quick just so you can get a different idea. Okay, let's go ahead and duplicate this also to the right sleeve. Will duplicate it to the back as well. All right. Maybe we'll take the back and we'll lipid real quick or rather excuse me, we'll flip it and flip it in any possible way you want, will take that right sleeve will also flip that with their horizontally. Okay? And so you would go to the mockup generator and you would see multiple versions. You know, you'd see here you've got the front, you've got the back, all of this stuff. Okay. So this is how you would play with this, okay? This is how you would play with this. You use all of these little tools here. You can align it, you can flip it, you can duplicate it. Ok, all of this is in the course itself, okay, so I'm kinda just lightly go over it here. Alright? So what you would do is you can do a couple things. You can save it to your templates, which this part right here is a little bit new. Alright, I have not seen this before. You can also generate the files. Okay? So in this case, let's just say you created the mockups and you can choose whatever mockups here you want, blah, blah, blah. Okay, you'll get all of these different one and you got this cool seasonal Halloween one that they came out with. All right. In this case, the only one that really matters to us right now for the sake of this video is the print file, okay? So you want to make sure you save the print file, alright, and this is why quickly name it, okay, abstract all over. Shirt. Okay? And then you would. Generate the files, alright, and in this case, because you want to save this design, alright? You would go ahead and go with the PNG because you want it transparent in the background. Okay? Okay, it might take a minute until it actually does what it needs to do. And then you can either save it to the library, which I personally am not gonna do because I did not uncheck all of those other ones. And I'll wind up with a ton of them in my library, which I'd have to go and delete. You can also download the files, which I will do. That will be much easier for me to delete, okay, so I'm going to download these files. Okay? So it's going to take just a second until it is done. Alright. We're gonna open that up. You want to quickly, soon as it loads, you want to extract those of possible. That's always easiest to do it that way. Okay? However, you can see here. Alright, so you've got these mockups here, but you want the print file. There we go. These are all your print files. Alright? So this is the back. Alright? And then the other ones you would see like this is likely the front. It won't say front, it'll say default, but right, defaults. So this would be the front, and then the other two are going to be your sleeves. Okay, so what you would do here now to, to have these print files, these, this is exactly what showed up on your mockup. Ok. So what you wanna do here is you want to create a new product. Okay? So you can create the same shirt and it doesn't matter. I mean, it doesn't matter what it is you choose. Alright, I think I had chosen the white stitch color, right? You would go to design, you would choose the file. All right, in this case, I didn't save these to the library, so I would upload the new file. So as you can see here, I have the file open. Okay, so I'm gonna go with this one. This one, this one. And this one might be pushing it as far as actually bringing these in without it taking a year just because I have the files are probably begun. I'm just gonna go ahead and open them. And they will upload here. Ok, so as you can see, these have all uploaded and what's really cool if you just hover over, it'll tell you which one is which. Alright, so that's the back, that's the front. This would be the left sleeve. This would be the right sleeve. Okay? So in this case, what we're gonna do is we're just gonna go ahead and choose that front one. Okay? And then we'll go ahead and we can do all of these. Alright. This is let me see, that's the back, right? Yep, that's the back. Left sleeve will just choose these all is left. Right. Please remember that n. And again, if you would save these to your library, they would have already been here. You would have just saved the step of uploading them. Okay. And there's your McAfee. Now, as you can see on all of these, the print quality is always going to be a default good, 150. Alright, but if principle is telling you, hey, this is cool, we're, we're happy with this, then that is fine. Once you create the product in the mock-up and you save, and it says it's good and everything is good. And you save those print files, what you're doing is you're duplicating the exact same thing. They have saved what you've done on your mockup. And then all you need to do is bring that saved image back in and place it on your product, but you don't have to do anything else. It's already done. Ok. Here's your mockup view. Okay. And as you can see here, C, let's go back to that. Let's go to this. And I'm pretty sure this might be, I don't know, the back. Okay. So here's the back of this mock-up. There's the back of this mock-up. Okay. So it's the same. All right, you see that patch there of, of black. Here's that same patch. Alright. Here's the front. Here's that little patch there on the front. Let's open this up here. I think that might be the front. Yeah. Okay. There that is over there. Over there. Okay. So the actual mockup photos that you'll get will look a little better than what you're seeing here. Okay? Just you can see they're a little bit crisper and a little bit clearer, but the pattern is exactly the same. All right, so there's that stripe and there's that little wiggly thing, right? There's that stripe, there's that wiggly thing at the same place. Everything, everything is the same. There's that patch of dark there. Alright, there's that patch of dark there. So there you have it. Ok, that's exactly what you would do. Alright, so in that case, I saved the whole, you know, when I created the mock-up, I had saved that black background. But what you would do is you would choose perhaps no background. And this way, when you create your product, you can create different versions of having a different color behind. That's why it's so cool to be able to do this kind of work because you can take this one piece of artwork and create multiple products out of it, multiple designs out of the same piece of artwork that you've created. Okay? So guys, this is basically what I wanted to show you. Okay? This is how you take the exact same product. Alright? Like I said, it's obviously it's CRISPR and it's clear. This is a nice, high-quality P&G that you know, that you were able to download and use for your listings. But as you can see here, the actual placement of your design is exactly the same and that's how you go about it. Alright, I hope this answers the question, why I want you guys to create your mockup photos first, your mockup artwork. Alright, save the print file. You use the print file to duplicate the exact same thing on the product. Alright? That is your foolproof way of doing it. And that is how you also know that the image you're using will have a good quality. It'll tell you. 35. All Over Print Flip Flops: So as you can see here, they've got what they said. I said the hats and the home living accessories. Okay, Collections were going to go to accessories, and then you can see here what kinds of stuff they have. I'm gonna tell you right now you will not be able to create jewelry out of this. That is that These are text based. Okay, um, you can create all of these different products. I honestly, off the top of my head don't know which ones of these are all over print. I do know the flip flops are so we're gonna work on flip flops, and then when you have some time, I'd say, get in here and start playing around. Okay, so they've got, like, one set of flip flops, and that's fine. Multiple sizes. You can see small through large. And it would give you hear the product info, the pricing, the guidelines, all that kinds of stuff. Okay, reviews, if there are any. So there you go. That would be your base price to 12. 95. OK? And remember, you can always do stuff like you can always create a whole bunch of versions of these and order samples. And you know, you can sell this stuff in person. It doesn't have to be online. Although these days everybody is definitely wanting to do things online. So what we're gonna do is we're gonna upload the file, and we will go with the same one. Okay? And if you just left it as is, or you've got the left foot in the right foot. All right, So you leave it alone and you hit mock up view and those or what your flip flops would look like. And I have to say they're really cool. All right? Look at that. You would definitely know they are yours. No question about it. Okay, But let's go back to file view real quick. And what we're going to do here is we're going to create a pattern. So you need to see here that whatever it is that lays across both of these, it's gonna create one of each shoe. Okay, so it it still might look different from one foot to the other, but just like we did with that T shirt, I'm going to make this small. I'm gonna make it even smaller. Hi. Going to make the pattern. And as far as the spacing is concerned, this is again. Now they told you that depending on what you do with this, you can create an entirely different looking product out of the same artwork. Let's see what that looks like. See, it looks totally different and actually almost has, like, a checkered type. Look to it, Okay. And all of these mock ups would be available in your listing. However, let's just say you like that, and you like the one from before and you want to see what else you could do here and look at how bad. Just by changing that pattern style, and it creates a reflection, let's space them out a little bit. And now you have a completely different looking product again. Altogether, Okay. And of course, what you would do here cause you could see like that pattern is here, and that pattern is there. So what you would do in that case is you could just kind of click on it, moved the entire thing over. All right? And so that looks like it's probably a touch more even. And it is okay, just that I mean, You probably have toe kind of play around with that a little bit, but you can see how this works, all right? It gives it a little bit more of, I don't know, on a thrill almost semi psychedelic. Look to it. Okay, but guys, like I said, this is the magic of it. And this is the beauty of it. Okay, You created one design, and you can take that one design and do multiple things with it. Multiple patterns, multiple products, all of it. And I think it's really cool, and you can create, possibly even create little sets. And I don't know who would want to wear the exact same looking T shirt with the exact same looking Ah, flip flops. But you never know. Okay? And like I had said earlier in the course, you know, artists objective and everybody's got the room taste in their own style. So if you have the time and you feel like turning this into a giant creative project, I'd say you have here some free tools to help you do just that 36. Create All Over Print Pillows: So I went ahead and went back to the mock up generator. And I am gonna go to home and living right here. And what we're gonna do is we're gonna make a pillow. Okay, so they have all these all over print basic pillows. They've got premium pillows and they've got pillow cases. Okay, let's go ahead. Do the basic pillow. In this time, we're going to go with this piece of artwork, okay? It does have the white background, and I have not actually created an all over print pillow, especially with ah, background. Um, but I say were creating and were testing things out. Okay. And these happen to be white pillows anyway, so and it's an all over print kind of thing. So this is what we're doing. Okay, so if I just went ahead and bring that in, OK? And that was our 3300 by 4200 um, print that we had made and resized. Okay. So as you can see, it's a good DP, I hear. All right, they're happy with it. And if I just brought it in and did nothing else, actually, what I would do here is you can duplicate it. You can put it on the back. All right, let's leave it for a second to see what it looks like on the front. Right. So it's actually really cool. Alright, this made a really cool looking pillow, so that's what it looks like in the smaller version. And these two square versions. Okay. In different colors. I mean, different sizes, rather. Okay. And if you wanted to get an idea of what kinds of products you're looking at here you can select your sizes. All right, you get the 20 by 12 which is your rectangle, and then these two square sizes. Okay. And here we created a portrait based, you know, we created, like, a longer rectangle image. Okay, we did a portrait, but you can see this works beautifully on any of these designs. OK, any of these sizes. Rather. So what? We're gonna go back to design real quick. Let's go back to the file view, and we're going to do with this what we did with the other. The other couple of designs. Okay, The other mock ups. So what you want to do? Any time you're trying to make the smaller or bigger is Just look for one of these corners , and you're gonna click on it and drag it, Okay? And so what would happen if I just did that? Let's just say there, okay? I just covered the entire area of the pillow. I'm gonna make a pattern. And Mm, You know what that would look like? Spacing. What? Space this out and see what? See, in this case, you wouldn't necessarily want to use something with a white background. All right, what would happen? Not ask yourself these questions. And again, this is not something I would do again, because I don't know that the White of the pillow is gonna match the white background of our design. Okay, but, um, what would it look like? We'll pretend that that is transparent. And let's see what that would look like. And any time you want to go back and play with your design, you would just go back to the design, right? So let's duplicate this pattern here on the back and let's see what it looks like. It's kind of interesting. I'm not saying it's I would suggest doing it this way, but again, as you can see, there's all kinds of minutes. Got a completely different look. So I There's the front. There's the back, All right. There's the front, and there's the back of that pillow. There's the front. There's the back of that pillow, all right. Not sure why it worked out that way. Um, let's find out why. All right, Now we know why. Okay. So, again, again. And you would definitely, you know, want to make sure you looked at every angle of these things, can edit the pattern again. Could do that. I mean, like I said, there's just all kinds of stuff that you can dio just playing. Guys. What would that look like? Uh, I would look pretty. Me? Wow. So, like I said, I'm just amazing what it can do online these days. Truly, Truly amazed. All right, think about this. Guys think about this. You guys signed up for this course, Probably had no idea what you were doing. OK, an hour and 1/2 into it. An hour and 45 minutes or so into it. You have not only created to really cool abstract digital abstract art designs, but now you have just created multiple print on demand products. Never mind the digital artwork that you can upload to your Etsy shop. So and this is just off of this is just off a print ful. You know, just imagine what you could do with it on other other print on demand companies. And, you know, just doing this with other products. Okay, so that's going to leave me into introducing you guys to t spring, and I'll see you over there. 37. All Over Print Shirt with the PiZap and Lunapic Design: Alright, so while I showed you how to take the designs we created in the other programs and bring them into print foal and create all over print products out of them. I wanted to also show you what we can do with the new art that we just created. So if you remember, this is what we created in Pi's app. This is what we took and created bringing the pi's app image into loner Peck. And then just making an entirely different design out of that over there. And as you can see here, I also took everything. I ran it through the Paint.net app and resized it. So now we've got the 11 by 14, we've got the right size and we've got the right resolution. So if I were to go ahead and bring one in. All right. You can see that it looks good. All right. It's telling me that I have a good quality image here. I don't have to change anything. Now, real quick, let's go back to product. We want to make sure we choose our stitch color, okay? And now we'll go back to design. And what we wanna do here is we can go ahead and duplicate this on all placements. And then what we can do if you want, you can always kinda changed that. So if we go to the back, you can see, you can flip it. If you wanted to do that. Here we would go. We can flip it. So if you don't want it exactly the same on both sides, you can do something like that. You can take one of the sleeves, you can do the same thing, okay, flip it horizontally. Let's see what this looks like on our model as a mockup. Alright. This is what it looks like from the front. This is what it looks like from the back, from each side. So that's actually pretty cool. I I like it. I actually do, I like it. So what we're gonna do here real quick is we'll go to the front. Let's create a pattern out of it. Ok. We'll just do something like that. And actually I think we're on the back, so you gotta make sure let's go to the front. So what we would do here is we would simply just have to go to spacing, okay, so you're not gonna get a ton of wiggle room here. It's probably just because it's such a big image, but we can certainly do the same thing in the back. Okay? And you can create different patterns if you wanted. Okay. Creative pattern there. Do something, you can see what it looks like in different places, doing different things with it. And you're just kind of play around with it. Okay? Do the left sleeve will just do something real quick with this. Got to love. It will pop up, show up, right. There we go. And let's do that. Okay, so now we'll go back to the mockup view. And now you can get an idea of what it looks like once you start taking the same design and creating patterns out of it and it is actually pretty neat. So let's see here. So we did something different in the front, did something different in the back. We just kinda split it in the back, right? We can see what that sleeve looks like. And now we can see with this leave looks like and this one is the one I actually did create a little pattern out of. So it just changes it a little bit. Okay? So what I'm gonna do is I'm going to bring I am going to bring the other product of the other piece of artwork in and we will play with that one real quick. So what you do is you make sure you're back in the design area and you just delete out of every section of where that particular piece of art is. Or you can always just start a new one. We're gonna go in here, we'll bring this one in. This does have a transparent background. Okay? And okay. So in this case, yes, this is what you would need to do. Choose a file, bring that in. Okay? And so in this case here, you can see what this looks like. Just by itself. I wouldn't be surprised if the old version is on one of the other sides of the shirt. Probably didn't delete them all out. Yeah. Yep. There you go. She's still in the back and so on a sleeve and that is, so that's something else you could do to actually come to think of it. You can always take one version of this. All right, so here's our Luna picked version with the transparent background. You can put that on one side. You can keep the other version on the other side. I mean, guys, and the reason actually it's kinda cool that this little mistakes or it happened is because you can see all the different, all the different options you have. Really, there are so many different things that you can do with this. Let's give this one a background because we can't this time this one is transparent, the other one isn't. Okay. So let's really quickly now look at the mockup view of what this looks like. You can take the same design from pies app. Do one whole thing on the front, do another whole thing on the back and do different things with each sleeves. With each sleeve. And like I'm telling you, and here you can kind of see it and you can kinda see it. And it's neat. Actually it is, it's kinda neat what you can do, OK. And then if you wanted to take the front and create a pattern out of it, let's make a pattern. Okay? Which it's not gonna be nearly as much fun to create a pattern out of it with the transparent background because I don't know, it's kinda cool to see what, what's in that background. But, and again, you can always take the same thing, create multiple versions just by changing the color of the background. Okay, so real quick, let's go back and do that real quick. The design, okay, let's change out the background colour real quick. And let's choose something that really pops and totally doesn't look like it belongs there. But let's do that real quick. Let's see the mockup view. And here I said it looks like it probably totally wouldn't belong or work, but it kinda does. So it just goes to show that really until you start playing around with stuff you don't even know, you don't even know what you're missing out on. So guys, this is just an example of what you can do with the, with, with the new art and just this entire, entire process in general. Okay, really, really quick. I'll, we'll create some flip-flops out of this, and then we will move on. 38. All Over Print Flip Flops with New Design: Okay, so to save some time, I just went ahead, I caught the flip-flop mock-up, loaded up and I already brought in our design. Okay, again, you can see its resolution looks good. You can rotate things around here. You can do all kinds of cool stuff, okay? You can re-center it, realign it. You can do all kinds of stuff. Okay. Flip it, whatever. Right? So doing absolutely nothing else. This is what they would look like. However, if you wanted, go back to the file and you can create another pattern out of it. Alright, sorry, everytime I like hover over this, they must have created, they created a pro version of this program since I originally did this course, okay? And they've even added new things into print fold since I created the course that you can still do for free. All right? But that is what is happening there. But you can go ahead and create this pattern and you can do something with the spacing there and simply go to mock-up view, see what that looks like. And you have a different product out of it again altogether. So again, guys, just stuff for you to be able to play with. One more quick thing I am going to show you. You can add text, you can add clip art to this. You can create an entirely different thing out of even just the basic clip Art. Okay? So just for example here I think are through some of those in, at 1. And I think I did that and you can change the color of it. Okay, let's throw something in there that we would figure totally doesn't belong. Let's throw in this crazy green color. Okay, we can create a pattern out of that if we wanted to. And now they're all over the place and we can also space those out, bring them back in. Okay. Hit the mock-up. Now what I necessarily where these probably not. However, it's just to show you what you can do. Okay? So again guys, just to recap, this is what you can do. You use the free programs you create, the digital abstract art, you bring them into another program if you want, you can play around, create different versions of the same art. You can bring them into a free, again, free to use place like print full for your print on demand. And you can come in here and you can do all kinds of really cool stuff. Again, guys, nothing out of pocket. Okay, so I just wanted to show you how this all works. And what I would recommend is have fun with this. Don't just come in here and try to rush through the process, really have really kind of work with it and see all of the different options, all of the different versions of the same design that you can create, Okay? Because you have really, you have no idea what you can do with this until you continue to work with it. As usual, when you save, when you go to generate your files, what you'll wanna do is make sure you save the print file for whatever pattern it is that you have created, okay? And at any time you can always come back, re-edit the same thing, and create new files. All right. 39. Teespring Intro: So this is T spring guys. Also totally free to use and t spraying. Unlike print full, you don't really integrate it into any stores. Okay, What you would do is you can create stuff like Facebook ads, or, you know, you can certainly set up like a store on your blog's and you would link to your products on T Spring and T. Spring does also have their own marketplace and a boosted network that you can participate in. Of course, you'll also for fork over, you know, chunk of change. Is faras being able to use their, You know, their marketing. But, hey, if you're just starting out, I mean, it's it's not half bad. Okay, so here you see all kinds of different stuff, All right? They've got all kinds of different, you know, little products. There is an all over print iPhone. Okay, All of these here. All right. And you could see they've got a peril. All kinds of apparel. I didn't do the leggings. We might Oh, you could do some really cool stuff with leggings. Home decor. You know, again, they've got the pillows that tapestries apis trees. However you pronounce it, you know you've got your socks in your phone cases, you know, plenty of accessories, all kinds of mugs and stuff like that. All right, So what you would do is you You would create a free account. You could either hit the log in, You know, it'll get you to sign up, and then when you're done with all that, you would hit, start designing. 40. All Over Print Shirt: So I have hit TheStreet designing button, and this is where it's going to take you when you do the same. Now you can see here There's thesis witch to classic launcher. If you've just signed up for a new account, you are not gonna have access to this feature. I, however, have had an account since before a February 2019. So for those of us who have, we could switch to the classic launcher, which is just basically where you could design the T shirt using their design tools. And they actually had some impressive design tools that you were able to use totally for free. However, in this case, you're actually not going to need to use that because I have just taught you everything you need to know. And if you're looking for some text based design information, I do have a T shirt course on that, And I did go into T spring and talk about that as well. Okay, I don't think I went into the classic launcher, though. So onwards here. As you can see, they've got all of this apparel options. Okay, The leggings. You know, your home stuff. All of these accessories. Okay, so it does work a little bit differently, and I have to be honest with you. I actually really do like the way this works as well. So if I were to go here, okay. And start with this all over print shirt, all right? And actually, it's going to take you here to all of these products. All right, So you've got all of these options here. I you could always take your design and just kind of have it as, ah, print area based design. But I am teaching you how to do all over print. So that's what we're going to dio. Okay, So here is your T shirt. You can always choose multiple product colors. It would just depend on whether or not you're gonna have the color of the shirt kind of bleed through your design. Kind of like I showed you with the with the print Fel one. Let's do Let's just see what it looks like on light gray and black and huh? Let's go. Let's do this one. Let's do that. Denim blue. All right, But right now I want to see what it's gonna look like at any time you want to see specific color. Just click on that 41. Designing Our Teespring Products: So I clicked on add image. I brought our image in Okay, Notice how? I said our image Because this is our image. Okay? We created this one together, and I didn't do anything. This is exactly how it showed up. All right, So what we've got here is this is the front of the shirt. That's the back of the shirt. This is the left sleeve. There's the front. There's the back rights. Leave. This here is your collar. Okay, So what would happen is like if I just took this. So if you bring the design in, it's going to However it is, you place it Here is how it's gonna kind of show up. All right, So you'd have maybe about 2/3 of each side of your shirt and the looks like the front of the sleeves. All right, if you did it this way, so we're gonna do is quickly We're gonna preview what that looks like, and that's what it would look like. And it's, you know, I have to say it's actually pretty cool. So And what you can do here is you can always choose different color. So we wanted to do say, like a denim blue. Maybe you know this dark blue, Maybe I don't know, like gray. And then we would also have the white. You'd be able to once you hit preview or even if it's still on design. Anytime you click on one of these, you'll be able to see what it looks like. So again, just like with the other platform, you can see what your design would look like on different colors. Shirts. Okay, and it gives it an entirely different look. All right, I happen to love Dark Blue. I'm kind of curious as to what this might look like. It's really cool, and you have to admit, it's really cool. And if you wanted to see the back, that's what it would look like on the back. Okay, however, let's go back to the white. Let's go back to the front and we're gonna go back to design. Okay, now a couple things to keep in mind when it comes to T spring. Now, T Spring does not seem tohave, Or at least I have not noticed one in a while. Not since not since the new design feature the classic launcher I used to be able to flip things and create duplicates and center things and all of that. I have not noticed those options, though, in this new one. Okay, so what I'm going to tell you is this If you wanted to create, like, a pattern I don't like I showed you you were able to do on print full. What I would suggest you do is you would go into, say, I picky and you would take thes and maybe line them up next to each other. Okay? And then save that you'd maybe open, like a 4000 by 4000. It's a biggest. It's going to get, say, on on. I picky with your transparent background, make them is bigger, a small as you want. Line them up next to each other or create a pattern, all right. And then save that is a high quality image. And then bring that into t spring, and then you'd be able to create those kinds of patterns. Okay. But for now, what we're gonna do is I'm just going to bring in the image again, because that's what that's what you would have to do. Okay. And if you want to make it like, a little bit different. Okay, Like I said, you can can't really flip it, but you can turn it upside down. All right? So that is something that you can dio. All right? You can. And you can overlap. Hm. And lay them on top of each other and all that cool stuff. All right? Maybe spread them a little bit further apart if you want a little bit of white to seep through. So what you can do here is just keep hitting preview and moving things around until things look the way you want. Okay, so that's what I would suggest you dio. So that is how you create an all over print T shirt on t spring in this case here, you see, this would be their suggested retail price. All right, this would be your profit. Unless, of course, you are using the boosted network, in which case you would earn less. However, they're doing some marketing for you. They do have their own buyer base on their marketplace. So and what's really cool about T Spring is just going to continue their what's really cool about T spring and normally all Syria. We'll show you on the next one normally, what you'd want to do. Actually, let's go back real quick, cause this is kind of important. All right, let's go to the front. Normally, they would tell you here. Not sure why I'm not seeing it. Maybe because I have to go back. I'm not sure why I'm not seeing it, but normally they would tell you here, Um, you know, you would be able to choose, like, what color? Your You know, your featured image on the listing would be okay. And again, I'm not entirely sure why they aren't showing it right now, but, uh, but they usually do. I can promise you that. Okay. And what you're going to see here is you're going to see all these different products now. We just did all over print these air. Not all over print. This is what your design would look like if it was just, you know, the normal print area on these garments. All right, but check this out, okay? With leggings. This is really cool, guys, If you didn't know how to say create leggings, then this is a way to do it. People are wearing them, and what you'd be able to do is and also kind of bring that up. You'd be able to, you know, bring the design and layer. It is as you want, and then you can preview. And so that's what it would look like. And you get all these different views and I personally think it's pretty cool looking. Okay, So again, on T spring, you can create all over print products, and every time you hit done, you know you would a theory. You go, OK, You select the first images, the first image that the buyers would see. So the right side on standard. Okay, so and you can edit that if you wanted Teoh so that if the stars there that showing you right now what the default view would be and what color it would be on. Okay, So and you know, like like the other one, it's telling you what the price would be and what your profit would be. And you can certainly change that. Okay, you would save the changes and add. You wanted to add that and what's really cool about T Spring is once you're done choosing on your products. They're all going to all of the products. And all of the variations of the products that you choose because they've got different styles of everything would be added to your one listing. So one link, one listing somebody could choose. You know, I want the T shirt. I want the leggings. And you know that you don't have to create multiple listings of one product each. Okay, that is what you would have to do on print ful. All right, so I'm going to get out of t spring because it has been giving me a little bit of attitude today. All right, but I wanted to make sure you got to see how you could use T spring to create the all over print products. You saw the T shirt and you saw the leggings. And they also have leggings on print full. And now we are going to upload our design as a digital print onto etc. 42. Create A Mockup: All right. So before we open the Etsy store before we try to list, this is a digital image. I want to show you how to create a mock up photo world. Quick. Okay, it's super easy. And you could do this with all kinds of free tools. So what we're going to do? I am back on canvas dot com. This is one of those things I absolutely adore, can before and using the free program is totally fine. OK, when it comes to etc. They will tell you that at least as of March 2020 they want, you know, for the best looking mock up photos and thumbnail photos they suggest, like a minimum of 2000 pixels wide. They don't really specify so much on the height. I usually do around 1500. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna create custom dimensions here, okay? With of 2000 and height of 1500 and we're going to create this. Okay, I'm going to show you a trick. So again, this comes with free canvas program. So we're gonna go to Mawr and we're going to go to pick Sabei. And what I'm going to type in is picture brain. And what you would do is you would choose the size of the frame of the picture. It is that you are selling it. So in this case, um, we went ahead and we chose to create a portrait sized picture. All right, so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna look for a portrait, mock up where you see that would be a landscape mock up. Okay, but something like this is really cool. I've seen these. And, uh, there was one that I put in my art printable is course that I thought was also perfect. This is really cool. In fact, you know what? This time I'm just gonna go with this one, because against the black background, I think these colors would like seriously, pop. Okay, so I just kind of dragged it on each corner to fit the inside of the picture. Now, this is a little bit narrow is far. As you know, this looks like it would probably be, I don't know, in the five by seven ratio, you know, just a bigger size. What I'm going to do here is I'm going to go to my uploads and I had already brought design in. Okay? And what you would do is you would just bring that down, make it smaller, and you'd create this mock up out of it. Okay, This isn't I would seriously go for a wider rain, but just to show you okay, it'll work. Especially cause there's so much white surrounding everything all right, you would just center it and it would look something like that. Okay, So if you wanted to create, say, like, mock up photo, then this is what you would put Okay. So you could see all these colors really pop against this. And this is what you would put in your listing. And, of course, if you had, you know, if you had I don't know, a shop logo, you would put it here. And another thing that I would always recommend doing. And you're going to want to put this in your listings as well. Ok, is you would want to put in. You would want to add something like this. I created one right off the bat a while ago. Okay? And you would put it somewhere, you know, just basically saying it's an instant download that way. People know they're not getting a physical product, okay? And then if you had a logo, you could put it somewhere else. All right, So that's what you would dio. And then you would rename it. So you would, um, did Joe Art, uh, tracked image mark up all right? You would name it, whatever you want, but that's what I'm naming it for now. And then you would download that. Okay. And you can create several of these guys. Honestly, you don't have to just stick with anyone. I would recommend grabbing several of them. You know, grab as many as you can. Okay. And again, using free tools. You can certainly do that. In fact, you can make your life easy by clicking on that putting it there. All right. And you've got another one that you can use. You would drag that out. And in this case, what you would do is you would take it. You'd hit position backward, backward. Easy enough, right? Stretch it out a little bit, right? You got to mock ups. You throw a different name in there and you would just continue to repeat that process. Okay, So that is how you create mock ups. All right. Actually, that would be probably a great frame. All right, So you would just continue to repeat that process until you have a few mock ups that you are crazy about. And then you would add stuff like that to your listing. Okay, so now we're going to open an Etsy shop. Make sure that you have the link that I sent you to get your 40 free listings, and I will see in the next video. 43. Create a Watermark: All right. So I just showed you how to create a mock up in the last video. One other thing that I would like for you to learn before we open our Etsy shop. Okay. And what that ISS is, I want you to see how to create a watermark so that you can protect your artwork. Okay, so we remember that when we created our 11 by 14 when it came to can vote, what we really needed to do was we needed to create a 33 100 i 4200 Acree at 11 by 14 I and have it be, you know, of higher quality. In this case, you're creating a mock. That actually kind of doesn't matter. You're not trying to sell this, but this is what we're going to do here. Okay, so here's my design, and I'm just going to bring it out, okay? And then what you would do is you would create, like, a logo, or you would create something to put over the artwork so that people don't, like, download it and steal it right from the picture. Okay. It doesn't have to be a really big deal, and you don't want it to scream. But you do want people to see that they can't just go to the listing and take this picture and, you know, try to try to take it right. So you would put something. I just chose a heading. All right. You wanna go over that a couple times, make sure. And you could just put, um, whatever the name of your store is. Okay, um, digital art studio. Right. And what you would dio is you would. She was a color. I'm just gonna keep it in black. Maybe you would resize it. No, we could know. That's a little bit small. Do something like that. Okay. Like I said, I think would be cool to create. Maybe no logo of sorts. Okay. Something like that. Put it here. And what I would do is actually I'd make it a little bit more transparent. You've got one of two things you can do here. Okay? Now could take it and put like a giant one in the middle and kind of stretch it all out, all right? Or you can make it smaller and then hit. Duplicated, duplicated, duplicated, duplicated, duplicated several times over. and just kind of strategically placed them in different areas. And in fact, if you wanted to, you can open up a document, which is what I would suggest you do. If this is the way you want to go, you open up a document that you could do that same little 11 by 14 thing that I just did, you know, probably just type in 11 by 14. Because you don't need this to be high quality, high resolution either. And you would put this all over the place. In fact, they would do that, and I picky. All right, just throw in some text. Digital arts. Do whatever the name is of your of your store or your logo. Throw him in in a few various places here. Okay? On a transparent background. Deny picky. Save it. Uploaded. Here, too. Can va. And then you would have it would almost be like a little transparent sheet. You would literally place it over your artwork. Okay. And that way, it's already done all in the interest of saving time. Right? So there's a real quick little tutorial about how to create a watermark for your artwork. So now you've got the mock up. You've got the watermark and I do believe now we are ready to create our listing. 44. Etsy: so earlier in the course we were on etc dot com, because I was showing you where you can pick up maybe some inexpensive graphics to add to your design elements if you actually wanted to purchase a few that you couldn't find for free, right? But now I'm just gonna talk to you real quick about why this is a really cool place if you want to sell your abstract digital art as a digital design. Okay, so the reason I happen to really like etc for this kind of thing is because when you make the listing, you can just check a little box that says digital. And then you can upload your your art as a digital upload, and then the buyer is able to purchase that. So you would, you know, prices. Maybe in a few dollars, something like that. Best thing to do is maybe look at a few other you know, storefronts and see what people are charging and how well they're doing. Okay, etc. Usually charges about 20 cents for each listing that you put together. Okay, So even if you have, you know, say one type of design and you're offering, I don't know. You can offer multiple quantities off them. Obviously, they're buying a digital print. It's not like they downloaded and you've suddenly run out. So every time somebody buys your design, you're going to be charged the 20 cent listing fee to have it relisted. Okay, so I sent you a link. It's in Your resource is to open up on Etsy store. And if you should decide to do that, if you use that link, you're gonna get 40 free listings. Okay? So it's going to save you like, $8 right off the bat to do it. And it's not 1/2 bad way to start a new store, so you'd be able to start off with 40 new designs and not have to pay for them. The 20 cents pays for four months at a time, OK, even if you started with 20 designs and each one had a sale and then they would go ahead and realist and you know, then you get another 20 listings out of that. OK, so that's how that's gonna work in the following video. I am actually going to be sharing, um, a pre recorded and I'm just gonna be transparent about that. It's a pre recorded video of walking you through the steps of opening an Etsy store and naming it in. The Onley reason that I am not doing a brand new one for this course is because I just don't want to keep opening up new shops and then choosing new names. I don't want to have to keep choosing new names because that might take available names away from other people wanting to use them. OK, so then, after that video, I am going to show you how to upload our design as a digital image in our list IQ. 45. Choose Your Shop Name: All right. So once you enter in an email address, you would simply go ahead. You put your first name, you create a password and register, and then you would go through the process whips, and then you would go through the process of filling out this entire thing. You know what? Your shop language. Your country, you know, Is this your full time job? What are you looking to do with etc. All of that kind of stuff? Okay, so we will go. We'll just say I so for time. And that's how I like it. But you can choose whatever you want. All right, You would hit. Continue, and then you would go ahead and name your shop. Okay, so let's just say you are wanting to Oh, I don't know. You want to create, um, printable Z for I don't know. Maybe you want a nation to the I don't know, medical industry. Um, maybe you would call it something like health care art. Okay. And you probably wouldn't name it something like that. But perhaps, you know, you maybe you want to go into the for the to the niche for, say, nurses or doctors or you want to create stuff like that, you could do this. If you want to create T shirts and you want to hear them toward, you know, say T shirts for nurses, T shirts for anybody in the medical industry, it doesn't really matter. Teachers, whatever you would type in something here, okay? And you would have it. It's gonna be one word. They don't do spaces. And then what you would do is you would check the availability, Okay. And believe it or not, somebody actually has. That s o. You know what it will do is it will come up with, I don't know, several different options here, and you can choose one. If there's one here that suits your fancy, then you would go ahead and choose it. If not, then you would kind of play around with it a little bit. So let's just say none of these really worked for you. And maybe you want to call it Help the art. I don't know availability that's not available either. Okay, but maybe you like healthy art studio. So we would go ahead and we would we would go ahead. As you can see, it's available cause it clearly told you what Waas and we would save and continue. This is where you would say thank you, Captain. Obvious. All right, so we're going to go ahead and we're going to click. Add a listing. It is like one of the first things you're going to dio. 46. Create the Etsy Listing: So we are ready to create this listing. So that's what I'm going to do. Once you've opened up your store and you've chosen your name and all that good stuff, this is where you should find yourself. What we're gonna do is we're going to add a list IQ, and we will wait for it to load. And this is where you would start, say, bringing in some pictures. OK, so that's why I wanted to mention you wanna have, like, several different mock ups of possible. Okay, so you would. Here we go. So here's the mock up we created here. Is that watermark we created? Two. We're gonna bring those in. And remember when I told you. All right, so remember when I told you, you really wouldn't need to? Do you know that high quality 11 by seven for, you know, with water Mark? I guess that's why. All right, so in that case, like I said, you would go through that entire process. You would just hit instead of Let's see here you would just go created design 11 by 14 is what you would do. And then it would be the smaller numbers. You would put that right in here. Okay. But otherwise, you really have a stunning mock up photo. Some people only have one. All right, if you are offering certain sizes or if you want to put a little thank you note in there, you know, you create a graphic, you know, Thank you so much. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You know, you you could put it in here. If you're offering out different sizes, sometimes people will create a graphic. You can do that in campus as well. You know, this download comes in a five by seven and eight by 10 and 11 by 14 to 16 by 20. You could do stuff and just put them in here. What? I would suggest you dio go through look at some really great sellers that catch your eye and see what they've got in their listings. Okay, everybody is going to be different, So I am gonna let you be the one to decide how it is that you want to handle that. But you definitely want mock ups. And the watermark is a really cool idea. Okay, you're gonna come up with a title. All right? So would be? I don't know. Off the top of my head will splish splash abstract art Ease on. All right. I'm being silly, guys, but seriously, you'd call it whatever it is you want, you know? Probably wouldn't call. It's Polish blood, you know? I don't know. Stunning abstract art design. You would want to put something in here. I'm really just going off the top of my head. You know, digital printable art. You would want to put either instant download or immediate download. Unframed is a good idea to put in there, Um, multiple sizes, if that is what you offer something to that effect. Okay. A CEO does come in handy with that kind of thing, and there are plenty of courses and videos on that. I am not the expert on it. So that is where I am going to teach you the design. So this is what we're doing, right? So who made this? I made it. Or we made it right. It's a finished product. When did you make it? Well, we made it today, um, or in 2020. However, maybe you made it last year. It really doesn't matter. Just be honest. Say whenever it is that you made it. Okay, It's What is it? Well, it's a digital print. Okay, So what's gonna do is it's gonna come up with some different options here. All right? So I don't think it's I don't know if it arts and collectibles, but we'll find out, OK? Digital printed in there. All right, so it's definitely abstract. All right. So anything in here, you might create a floral abstract. In that case, you would hit flowers. Okay, But you would go through when you would choose what it is that this is most appropriate for . All right. Where do you think this would work best? So this would maybe worked beautifully in a bedroom, maybe a doorman. Entryway, You know, your living room. You know, and maybe, I don't know, maybe your office splash of color in your office. All right. Juice, the home style. I don't really know. Okay. And in this case here, you know, and we've got vertical, and it's definitely unframed, right? If you have multiple sizes, I probably wouldn't bother putting this in, but if you're right now, we're just doing actually, the height be the 14. All right. 11 you'd want to choose the inches. You know, if there's a holiday, you would choose that an occasion. You would choose that, right? This is where this becomes important. You'd want to choose digital. And whether or not after four months, this decides to realist itself again. You're gonna be charged 20 cents for it. Unless you've got your free listings, and you haven't used it up. So if I were you, it will. It really depends. I can't tell you what to dio, right? So you decide whether or not you wanted to automatically realist or if you want to manually realist, you would put your description in here. Okay, A couple things that are definitely important to put in here. You want to mention okay, You would create a whole description. You know what it is where it would look pretty, you know, maybe even a little personal story about why you created it. What it means to you, that kind of thing. Okay, so you put your summary here. All right, but it's really important. You might, you know, do something like instant now, lewd. Okay. And then underneath, no physical product will be sent. Aisles are available immediately after urges. Actually, it could take maybe a couple of minutes. Okay, immediately after purchase, even put give word a minute. Were too. Okay, because once their payment goes through, you know they will. They'll be able to access it right away. You can even put because of the nature of this product being a digital al mood. I cannot accept returns. But please feel free to contact me with any issues or questions. Okay? Because the truth is, when it comes to digital downloads, most people do not accept returns because they've purchased that they can download it immediately. Now you'll be able to tell in your back office whether or not they actually did download it . However again, most people don't. That's why it is so important. Put it in the title you've made sure it's unframed. You're putting it here and you're putting a few things on each side. Instant download and your, you know, throwing this in here about no physical product, these air unframed. You'd want to put that in there as well, you know, But you would just want to make sure that these people know this is a digital item. It's printable art. And this is why you can't take, you know you can't take returns. OK, so in this case, you would not have a production partner. But if you did actually use print full and create an all over T shirt or flip flops or whatever and integrated into your Etsy store, this is where you would add them in is a production partner. Okay, you would add in 13 tags. So whatever it is that your artwork is, you would, you know, do some S e O on that. And there is a website. It's escaping me right now, and I have totally used it plenty of times before. I just can't think about it right now because I'm talking, but I'm going to put that into the resource is as well Okay, I think it's I think it's e rank. Yeah, it's e rank, and they do have a free program as well that you can do some s e o. Work there in this case, materials. There are no materials, you know, if you created a pdf out of it, you know, that's fine. You know, sometimes I've been there 300 bp I j P g PNG your price. This is where you would price it. I'll just go with a flat $4. Okay, you're quantity got, like, really 99 of those in there. All right, there is no sk you number for this type of thing. If you did decide to do personalization, that's what you would click. And this is where you can upload your file. Okay, So if you're selling, like, a pdf of it, and that is also something you would put in your description box, You know, like what they're getting in this purchase, you are getting one. Pdf, you know, print on the size. You know, 1 11 by 14 j pay 1 11 by 14 PNG, you know, And if you're also offering them with transparent backgrounds, you know, you can throw that in there as well if you're throwing in different sizes, Okay. In the digital files area here. All right. If you have up to five images, you can upload them one by one. Okay, so let's real quick go in here. Okay. On on on. Okay. So let's just say all right, let's Let's take this other one. Okay, so I've got a J P. G. Here. I've got the same thing in a PNG. So I'm hitting the control button and then I'm I've got both of them, so that way, I'm opening them up. But if you have more than five, you're gonna have to create a ZIP file. And I will also throw in some information on how to create a zip file. It's actually very easy to do. There's a whole withy how type of article on how to do that. Okay, but this is what you would dio okay, And then if it's like I said, if it's more than five, you would just upload the ZIP file, all right? And if it's, you know, it's going to tell you if it's I think if it's more than 20 megabytes, it won't even take it even in a zip file. In that case, you have to start with you know, Dropbox or eight, that kind of thing. But in a nut show. All right, this is this is what you would dio Okay, this is how you create your etc listing and upload digital art into it. Okay. And this is what it would look like, right? So What if you had other pictures, you'd see them all here. All right. You'd be able to just kind of keep going through, and, um, this is what they would do. All right? You would create your shop policy. Guys, I'm just gonna be honest with you. There are so many videos on how to go through the entire process of creating an Etsy store .
