1. Introduction: You probably are
going to do this online course because
you are tired of hearing the common story that is being
written over and over and over again about the nine to five mentality
in which you work, probably doing a ****** job
that you don't even like. You work long hours, you lift through to get
to the weekend or to get your three to four
weeks of holidays a year. You want to work
from everywhere. How and whenever you want cautious client deadlines
anywhere in the world. With your dream remote job in our marketing
and brand purpose, you will learn on how to
market your business online, how to create and develop
your brand's identity, how to communicate
with your customers, clients or business partners, builds a fan club
through social media. How to rock it when
it comes to finances, and of course, how you
need to work remotely. We are going to take
a little bit out of the safe slash comfort zone with our comfort and
dream challenges. Because we believe
that like this, we're going to give you the step to go out
of his comfort zone. Because to skip the
nine to five mentality, you really need to make a step that other people are
not willing to take. And already by
doing this course, you are making
this step already. And with that being said, welcome, I am either so stave, marketing and brands
experts started.
2. 1 - Build your brand: Those are brands. Step one, starch,
small thing, pick. Just like your swimming lessons, you will not be directly
throwing into the deepest balls. You know, essentially this,
you can swim in there. But before that, you
need to practice and practice until you can
swim into the deep edge. Large bulls see starting your business as
learning how to swim. You know that you cannot directly swim into
the deepest part. That's essentially your target, is to swim in the pool. Let's do an exercise. Take a timeframe in your head. You can choose 6-12 months. Chosen. Great. Now grab a pen and paper if
you already didn't have one, or you can use a worksheet that will be linked in
the description. And write down five
topics that are or goals that you really want to achieve
within this time frame. There are no limits
when it comes to money or dreams or
whatever you feeling. Just write down five topics. Way of write down
the five topics. So let's say for us, we want to get a car from the business So
we can drive to meetings. We want to have working for
countries all over the world. By the end of the year,
we are going to have a profit of €36,000. Has a passive income
flow and bills and network of clients from
around ten clients. So when you have write
down your topics, you pick the most
important ones for you. So for us it will be get a car so that we can
drive to the meetings. Half the profits of €36,000
and working for countries. Now infant virus coming. So phases, IF write
down as an example are pretty big goals. And you can really see them as the deep swimming pool that we have talked about
just before birth. When you're going to defy
this goal into smaller steps, you will see that eventually, but it's a practice. And with the smaller goals, you will be able to get
those bigger roles. So let's take an example. The profit of 360000 by the end of the year
when you started. This is a pretty big
amount at this stage. Well, for us, it
has been very hard for us to reach that
in the first year. We didn't even by way. But let's take this tradition, zero divided by 12th. You need to make a profit
of 3,000 euro a month. This is still a big
amount of money, so let's dive it again by 30, and then you only need
to make 100 euro a day. So e.g. you are a graphic designer and
you sell on the platform, at sea or on your
online web show, your digital prints and
to sell in Fortran zero. So let's do the math. You only need to sell five a day to be able to get
your hunger hero targets. Sounds easy, right? But we didn't skip tonight five, mortality, life to work 2047. So this is just an
example of how to do passive income and to
promote products or service. Like an online course,
digital prints, that doesn't request a
high amount of management, but like a low amount
of management. So like this, having a
passive income flow creates the cube will be able to do this profits by the
end of the year, Stella two of building
your brand's. Fishy. Fishy is not a Japanese tea or yoga poses will
give you any piece. Your frizzy is your why, why you started your company or what defines you from
the rest of the markets, your strengths, and how are you, it looks like your identity. Let's break down phishing. Phishing is the why
of your company. So think in like a problem, e.g. I started my company
because I wanted to find a way to escape to nine
to five vitamins peak. This is why people
need to come to you. This can be because you have
created a kid, a freebie, or you're a very
creative or years a lot of experience with your brand is your
uniqueness are and don't be afraid of showing
them to your clients. And out of there in the
online market world, shrank in your vision. You have discuss
your problem and your strength is how you are
going to solve this problem. So let's take back
to the example. We want to create an
escape 9-5 environments. And that's why I've created an online course on how
to do show identity. Your identity is mostly how
people are going to recognize you and how you are
going to create a Monroe moment
with your clients. Step three, finding your niche. Your niche is actually
the first step you're going to do to
build your company. And I could already
you thinking, but it is, We already
have known two models. Y starts not directly
with finding your niche. Well. The first two models you can
see them as a warming of, as learning how to
swim in a deeper pool. So now we're in the last model. You already submitted
deeper pool. How excited I am
going to tell you in one sentence how to build
your business successfully. I already don't create
a product and surface, and then find a niche. Find a niche and create for
them a product or service. Boom, that's it. Now you are heavy, is successful business
is really that easy. Yes, it is infancy. We have talked about the
problem that you are facing daily and how you're
going to solve this problem. There's probably a group who is facing the same problems as you, and that is your target
audience or reader, your niche parents
take an example. You want to reach people who
are feeling uncomfortable in their body and they want to
lose fat to be skinny again. You as a health coach, an online health coach can teach people through
online lessons, one-on-one coaching by
achieving this goal. But to reach people
who want to lose fat, you are reaching almost
90% of the world. And this is a massive
amount of people to reach. So it's impossible to fight
this battle with the bigger, the bigger companies who
are already existing for a couple of years to be able to reach the target audience
and your ideally niche, your dream clients is that
you are going to niche down. And by doing so, we're going to use
our initial letter. We have created a worksheet for that description down below, I'm going to say to
online health coach at an example for
our newsletter. So at the bottom, we're going to have
health coach who wants to help them lose weight? The next question is, what age group does your knees fall in
the mirror and say, let's save through
infancy and 30 years old. What gender is your niche? I'm going to say woman. What does your daily
life looked like? She is she just gave birth to her first child
and she's very busy, of course, with discovering the whole mothers
and everything. Where does she come from? Friends. What is your daily struggle? Not feeling comfortable
with her body because obviously a lot is happening after when
you are giving birth. So she wants to go back into her old self
and feel good about her body again without damaging everything that's down there, how much money is coming? So I'm going to state, so keep it easy
to average salary in France and it's 1700-25000. Now we're going to reach
the top of the letter and this is going
to be your niche. And debt is yogurt Vi, online health coach ruin
who just have gifts. Birth for the first
time living in France. And you are going
to help them with one-on-one coaching,
diets, workouts. The whole plan to create their self-confidence by having their own body buck
again, look at it. Right now, we have created a niche for the
online healthy coach. Now it's time to create a brand strategy and visualize the Luke's
of your company. My personal favorite parts
of this whole course. So let's dive into
the next chapter.
3. 2 - Create your brand: In this chapter, we
are going to visualize your brands by choosing the
colors you want to have. The foams. We're going
to create your logo. And by setting the right
mood for your company, it will help you to grow online successfully and such
you as your company. Apart from the rest, Let's start with choosing
the colors for your company. Colors are so important
when it comes to the business roles because
it has been proven that colors are having
an emotional value. So let's think very quickly
about a beauty salon. I bet, that you were thinking
of purple and pink tones. That's why important to know which color has
the value to which emotion and whether or not to use it within your
company and your niche. So let's start with reds. Red stands for power, law of energy and joy, right, is also the most common color that has been used in
flux all over the world. It's a really good
color when it comes to the fruit brunch because it
stimulates your appetite. Orange is warm, innovated,
social and earthy. Orange is a really good color when it comes to real estate, because orange is also
standing for a new start, but orange can also be
used for mindfulness, sport like yoga or meditation. Yellow, joyful,
optimistic, and positive. Yellow is another good color
to use in the food branch. Think about McDonald's, yellow match again,
we are loving. It can also be used in combination with
green for coaching, like mindfulness coaching or other online coaching services. Green, peaceful, grow,
and eco-friendly. Green is I think, the most safe color
that you can use with any kind of French because
it's always working blue. Trust, strength and calming. Our advice is not to use blue in combination with the food brands and leisure opening and
seafood restaurant. Because blue is not really common color
when it comes to foods. So it can be seen
as distasteful. Purple and pink. Creative, feminist
dominant and carrying. Pink and purple tones
are very good color to use when your niece
is mostly women. Keep in mind that
the pastel pink, the terracotta and pink tones in general are very
popular at the moment. So my advice is not
to use them too much. If you want to be unique within your branding and be very unique in expressing
yourself in the markets. Black, white, and gray, balanced, natural and calming. Black, white and gray tones are, even though they are most
common in other residencies, it's still a very safe one to use when it comes to express yourself with the
residency show. You can never go wrong
with these kind of shapes. Keep in mind that
the colors that I've used right now are a guideline. And I don't want to hold you
back right now and being expressed in expressing yourself and being your bolt cells. So those feels good for you. Just keep in mind your niche. And I didn't see this. You want to show
within your company and find what works for you. We are going through
website colors.co. And within this free tool, you can start to generate your own colors that
you would like. So we're going to go a little
bit through the websites. As you can see, we can explore pellets. I will do this right
now so you can see the idea behind this. And within this, we
are going to search. You can search for the colors
that you want to have. What five of colors,
how many colors? If there's any kind
of topic to it. So let's go back to the example of the healthy coach we were
talking about pesto colors. I will advise to don't
go over four colors. But again, if you
feel bolts, go ahead. But to start with four basic
colors are more than enough. And then you can also have like black and
white on the sides. Let's do four colors. And because it is
a healthy coach, I would like to add
some green to it. Then here we can see
a lot of results. And when you're scrolling down, you can just check
what you like. You can also, if you
have a picture, e.g. you can upload a picture. And from that
picture you can just pick the colors that are needed. Or you can just go to
palette generator. And when you click on space bar is just automatic switching. And when you see a
color that you like, let's say this yellow
and this peach color. We locked down. And like this, we can
switch to yellow colors that we want to rotate. And e.g. if we like this
very bright whereas color, but we want to have too
little bit lighter. We can change the shades. So this website is a
really nice opportunity to get your colors and generate them in
the one that you need. You can also remove them so that you can
have four colors. You can add more if you want. You can also just
go for two collage. It's a really nice
and easy free. So that's also very nice tool
to use to get your colors. Let's go to our template to
create your brand identity. We are now going to fill in
just two colors for a moment. So let's go to the next page. And this is an example. You can fill in here the colors. And if you want to have
the name of the colors, let me go out of
the presentation. And let's zoom in a bit. So to see the color, you can click here in
the left upper corner. Click on the plus button, and you can just copy. Paste this here and you can
do that with all the colors. Then for the phones, our advice is to use
maximum three fonts, to use like an heading
fonts that can be handwriting or bold or
italic style fonts. Our advice is don't use that much of a handwriting
because it can be unreadable for some people to use a more basic phones
like your body four, the website later on or
when you want to create a post for social media, you want to put the
content in the post. You can use this and
maybe similar fonts, that is italic or bold from the body font
that you just have chosen. So you can use this as
a call to action button for your websites or content. So to change that, you can click on the
fonts are on the texts. Within Canva, you have a lot of options
that you can choose. Most of them are
Google phones or like regular phones that you
can Use also later on in Europe sites for I'm
going to close this chapter within the brand identity. You also solid vf
put some pictures. These pictures is a
kind of mood board as you can use on how to
create your brands. So you can use this pinch, this picture she can
find on Pinterest, Instagram, whatever inspires
you, put it in there. And like this, you
can create easily or more your color or your
phones or to move. Or five, you want to go for.
4. 3.1 - Online Marketing - Sell yourself: Online marketing
and communication, step one, how to sell yourself. Have you ever felt
like you deserve something so much like race or to deserve that
dream project or client that you have been
fighting for or something else. So your personal life
that you really want to. But this opportunity has
been given to someone else. This feels so horrible and it almost feels like you
have been cheated on. That's because the
other person who got this opportunity
knew how to sell themselves as He business
still as the early days where merchants their goods to the
customers on the market. And if you were a
vegetable seller and you are standing very close to the other vegetable seller. The only way to get clients was to come up with a
very good seal streak. Streak was most
of the time being shouted all over the market. The harder the more
entertainment it was, the more customers you will
get to your market stents, times are different right now
and we have something way more advantage
than the merchants were having at that time. The internet with a
simple 20 s video, you can post on TikTok, or you can pronounce, you can introduce yourself
into a Facebook group. You can reach thousands of people were just
in a few seconds. It was, was all that easy. We will all be having our
dream clients by now. There are more people out there. Other thousands,
even millions of people who are selling
the same thing as you. So what makes it
that the clients, your dream client, wants to work with you
and your company. This is again, why
we are going back to the old sales merchant. You need to learn how
to sell your shelf. And by doing so, you can become a thinking. What do you mean by unicorn? Unicorn is the same as
what we have done before, but you foresee what
makes you unique, what makes you why
you are sending out? Use your uniqueness and
create something magical out-of-phase by killer freebie
that you can promote or an very good discount that
you are having at the moment, if you are scarce, impersonal lead to
face-to-face, to sell yourself. There are some
things that you can learn to become better at it. You can create a mood board with people that are inspiring you. And you can place
this mood board on the background of your phone or on a background
of your laptop. And every time you
are looking at them, you're like, oh, they
have inspired me. I want to become more like them. Or every day, FDF
brush your teeth. You look to yourself
in the mirror and you say three things that you like about yourself or
that you are proud about your shelf or while you
are looking so good today, out loud, nodding
your heads out loud. Another good way
to learn to sell yourself is by telling a simple story that
you've been through, through this date is
can be to your partner, your coworker, or your parents, or another relative person
in your circle that you feel comfortable with to
twelfths and tell them e.g. how you went through
grocery shopping or how your workday was. But that is in a story, and I don't mean like fairy tale story about
unicorns and everything. Also, try to avoid that. Me personally, I have
a phobia for and I've really done my best to
lay them out of my system. It's really hard. I know. But when someone is trying
to sell themselves, and the first sentence, the first sentence
you already have three times, I'm eaters. I sell online course, and it's not selling. Try even repeat it out loud in your head or something
that you don't have the time when you start
to master storytelling, you will notice that
people are paying on your lips like magnet
and they would like to hear every story
that you have to tell. Even if it's just a
simple grocery shopping. Learn how to take, how to learn how to
do storytelling. Everything you learn in life can offer several skills that
you can use when you are having an interview or
a job interview or when you need to sell yourself? I graduated as a hairdresser and when I wants to stop as
working as a hairdresser, I wants to try out to retail. So when I was having
the interview, they were mocking me a
little bit for like, hey, why are you just a hairdresser and why do you think
you can work in retail? I was like a
hairdresser is doing more than only making
your hair beautiful. When a client is coming
to sit in their chair, they say what they
want to have and within 10 s you
can just see what they need while it
looks nice on them and what doesn't and
maybe what kind of products they need to
have for their hair because maybe their
hair is damaged or they want to have a red
color so they can better user. Red color conditioner. So I have saved to the
interviewers that I was having. I know it in 10 s what our clients are needing
who come in the shop. I know how to advise them, even if it's an advice to them, maybe don't want to hear. The interviewers were
shocked at that moment because they realized that a hairdresser is doing
more than just that. This is the same for
you when you are a remote worker and you want to sell yourself to a client, sometimes they can
be a bit judging because you are traveling
all around the world. You can say to the client. But because I travel the world, I meet a lot of people and
I'm easily making friends. So that means you are easily to work in a team
that you just met. Or you are going to
work with other people. Or you can say to them, Well, I just discovered
this insane city, but I got lost and I didn't
know to find my way back to the Airbnb or hotel
that I was staying. So even though I don't
speak the language, my phone was dead, so I
couldn't use Google Maps. I found my way
back to the hotel. This means that you are a problem-solver
and as you can work really good on the pressure
and don't freak out directly. Use the skills that
you have within your life to sell yourself
because your experience, your stories that you have, can create skills that will become more easily to
sell yourself because you already know how to do so because you have
been through this experience, less or not least, the most important thing
maybe is how to sell yourself is that
you need to look professional in the chapter, branding and build
your branding. We have talked about
starch, small thing, big. So when you see yourself as 1 million their business
owner of your own company, you want to act like that. As a remote worker, you will be facing. You will be selling yourself less face to face with
your dream clients. Most of these will go first
over e-mail or over phone. And then later on
a Zoom meeting, we have created for you an e-mail templates that
we are personally using also to sell our services and our online course to
our potential clients. So it isn't a worksheets. We have put it in the
description for you. Make it a little
bit more yourself, the way you have, choose your
branding, your uniqueness. And you can use this
template to sell to your potential dream clients. We're going to have our
first comfort challenge. My personally favorite,
the eye contact. Eye contact is such
a powerful tool to describe your body language, to feel more confident
about yourself, and to make it
another person feel more comfortable
or uncomfortable, depending on how insecurity
or about themselves. Try out first, maybe with a relative person that
you feel very comfortable with within your inner circle and see the cross
over each other and stare to each other
for 3 min in the eyes, you can laugh, you can cry, you can be uncomfortable. You can blink. Also. You can blink. But don't break the eye
contact with the person. 3 min. You'll probably feel
very uncomfortable. Discuss this, be put
boundaries down. Just say to the other
person why you feel so uncomfortable and what
did it make you feel? You can try this
with other people. You can try this
with strangers if you want to go even more
out of your comfort zone. And after that, keep the eye
contact with other people. You don't need to stare for 3
min it other people's eyes, there will be a
little bit creepy. But when you are in a
restaurant and e.g. you get your foods most
of the time when you get your food to say
thank you to your foods. Turn around, go to
the way Thursday. Thank you. If you keep practicing
making I contexts, this will also feel
more confident. You will get more
confidence in yourself. So keep practicing
this and you will feel in the end it's more comfortable to
create eye contact. The best is when you're having a face-to-face conversation
is to look at the eye, forehead, mouth,
back to the eye. Like this. You don't come over to creep. Step to communication. I don't think I need to
explain to you, but I will. Good communication is the
key to a successful life. Whether it is creating a business e-mail or fighting
out a relationship problem. Expressing your emotions. Cruise communication
is so important, but it's also important to keep learning and develop your shelf
for better communication. I'm going to say
something that not a lot of people are saying, but you can lose so much time when it comes
to poor communication, whether it is
personally or business. I mean, we have better
things to do than waiting, wasting our time with
poor communication when you are remote
worker because you can travel the world instead, let's go through the topic. Emails for us, fetch, emails are probably the most, or messages on Facebook or
other social media platforms, the most time consuming thing you can have
in your business. My advice is to check two
times a day your messages, what a decision emails, or on social media platform that you are using to communicate
with your clients. Also, the emails that you are rising try to make
them with other foods. E.g. this is an email
with a lot of search. High customer, How
are you today? I hope you are a good
plans for the weekend. I go out to dinner
with my friends, to yoga classes and much more to explore where you are in
the country right now. Then you have the
purpose of your e-mail. This can be a payment or an update questions
that you might have within the collaboration meeting that you want to
plan, your name it. I want to wish you
a very nice weekend and I look forward
to hear from you.
5. 3.2 - Online Marketing - How to find clients & communication: In this e-mail, you
are giving the client the opportunity to not reply to the purpose of this
email because you are asking in the beginning a lot of questions
about the weekend, how they're doing and
whatsoever, try e.g. this e-mail instead
to create less fudge. Births, don't come over as a
cold-hearted business owner. Dear slash, hi, try to use the introduction is same as the client
is using like this. You are on the same level
of their communication needs as discussed
in our last meeting, I would like to give
you an update on date. Will make an update. I ran into the
following questions. Could you answer that for me? Point the questions down. Also, if you have
multiple questions, I think it's better to
make a little list. They say don't need to read all the sentences in one time. This will look more
clear for them also for the I thank you in advance for taking the
time to review the update. My questions. If there are any
misunderstanding, Please let me know by email. Finally, cards and then
your email signature. By allowing them
to only apply on, you will also not go in unnecessary meetings
that will take on forever if this kind of email style feels
uncomfortable for you, goods yes, creates and other comfortable
challenge for yourself. Try to keep this
kind of e-mails when you are talking with your
client after of course, you had your dream clients. It's important to show
some empathy when you are getting to know
each other because you want to know your client, you want to know how
they are feeling. What is their fishy
for their own company, or if it's a particular
person because you are cocci, you want a little bit more, you want to know a little
bit more about their life. When it comes to introduction, meeting, show all the
empathy that is necessary. Tried to keep it within
half an hour, max 1 h, because otherwise you
will go on and on forever inducing times your
communication when you're going to have a
meeting with your clients about the updates or
about to coach it is you're going to do
before the meeting starts as to them, are you comfortable to
start this meeting? Do you need anything before? Do you have a water
cup of tea or coffee? By asking this, you showed
empathy and you also directly create a focus for them to start the
meeting directly. Because during a meeting, people, your clients, you
yourself are losing focus. And because of that, meeting can take on
forever and forever. And we don't want that customer and partner
communication. I personally believe
that everyone should work in customer service
or something else that has to do with
working with clients or business partners to learn the communication
on a business way rather than a personal way. As a business owner, you are going to be
abused by your client. And we have been
through this too. We sometimes still have it. We are not perfect either. But C, like this, you have good food, bad foods whose quality,
better quality. This is the same with having both clients and goods clients. When you are a startup is really hard to recognize the
clients because you are so happy that already someone is interested
in your product or service that you don't
see, the red flags. We are going to help
you on how to find out which clients are the good ones and which
are the bad ones. So here are some red flags that we really want to give to you because all those red flags, we had the same issue with it and we want to protect
you for death. Don't negotiate your prices. If the prices are too
high for your clients, they probably don't see the value that you're
offering to them. So don't lower prices. But if you are offering
multiple services, you can put one or two surface down to satisfy your clients. By Chet worked with contract. In this contract you
will come to your rules, the payment rules that
is very important. And also what's the clients
can expect from you. So this comes from both ways. If you work with companies, always asked for a
validated CIT number, I've put a link in the description
where you can check if the VAT number is validated
in the European law. Do now is work with countries
that are no four dash cams. Like Nigeria, India, make a timeline when you are working
with a client or partner. And e.g. if you are a designer
or a graphic designer, you can put in also the
correction rounds like this. You know, the timeframe, how long it's going to take. You can meet the deadlines
within this time frame. Also, if your client needs
to send to you information. You can remind them
in this deadline that they need to do this because otherwise it will not be delivered on time and you
cannot make the deadline. Clearly name you our price
and put it in your contracts. When you are working
with your client, you are going to discuss an amount of hours you are
going to work for them. And if there's a need for more, you're going to charge
every hour of that. We understand that in the beginning you want
to give one or 2 h for free to create
a surface for them. But try not to
maybe at least 1 h. Because if you are
going to do this, you ready could do voluntary work when you are traveling the world
like in Bali, you can have a piece and
rescue them from the streets. Or you can build schools
in South Africa. If you want to do
volunteering job, you are here to make money. I don't want to tell
you that there's only one way of
communicating with your client or
business partners. But there are some
tricks that have really helped me by creating a good
relationship with them. Be polite to them as she will
be to your grandparents. The reason why I
saying grandparents and other king is because or any other royal family part or precedent or whatever is
because to your grandparents, your ARP relies on a very friendly and maybe a
little bit on a funny way. See your customer as an eco, not as a king or
queen who cries, pleasing all the time. Don't push your limits to
get a project by lowering your services or your quality
or not reachable deadline, that short deadline
that they want to have. Speak in a customer or
business partnering language. When they say hi, say hi. If they say dear, good morning, you say, good morning. If it's a new customer
or business partner, I will always start with deer or good morning because it's
just a safe good evening. Whatever time you have
to MSI or e-mail. It's a safe way to
communicate with your potential client or
business partner how to do Cole, Did you ever when you needed
to make a phone call, made this phone call
already in your head. I think everyone is doing this, especially right now
because we are living in a time that's phone calls are
not really common anymore. We prefer to texting, emailing or whatever
on social media. Before I'm going to
give you tips on how to prepare
call or a meeting. I want to say that having a meeting only do it
when it's necessary. The same as we were
talking before about having e-mails with Fudge. You can also have
meetings that are clearly unnecessary and could have
also be done by an email. So try to avoid having
meetings as much as possible. Unless you are a health
coach or an online course, you are planning
these meetings with your students or your clients. So that's a different subjects. Now the tips, prepare your
meeting or call beforehand, make a slide
presentation if needed, dare to take the lead. When you feel that the
client or your students, is this track this, by this meeting, tries to
keep the focus back on them, even if they need to take a little break and
then call back after. Video calls are better
for bonding with your client or business
partner or students, it's okay when you are having a meeting to
sit up straight, show you confident you
are the expert in this. Probably they don't know anything about what
you are doing. So show that you
are the experts. And last but not least, breath. Give me a call. Brief MBAs out. You don't need to talk fast. Take your time the first few
times to have a meeting. And maybe even now, it can be quite excited and maybe even
a little bit scary. So what I always do before
I have the meeting, I think by myself, but I end that magical
unicorn that can create magic for them and make their life better because that's
what you're doing, you're solving their problem. So till unicorn, you don't
need to wear a unicorn, true by the way, on the meeting, that
will be strange though. Time for another column
for Challenge ladies, I'm sorry, but this one is
more for you than for men. From now on. You're going to learn
to make the decisions. And maybe this sounds
like a very easy one. But I will give you
a very good example. What are we going
to eat tonight? I think we have all been in
this discussion before that. When someone is asking to you, what do you want to eat tonight? And you will say, I don't
know, you can choose. And you go back and
forth in like one on one that we all feel
this conversation. So next time when
someone is asking to you something or like
what should we do today? What are we going to eat today? You say politely, I propose
to eat this or that, or I propose to do this. Making decisions will give
you a lot of confidence. You will also learn
how to take the lead. What can help you in your
meetings for the next time, let's go to the last part of our online communication with your clients and your business
partners are students, and that is social media. Social media marketing is the most powerful tool to
get potential clients, business partner,
students, whatsoever. You can create very
simple and for free, a platform on social media by posting a photo or video, texts. If you use Twitter, where you have a
social media platform that is fitting with your niche. You can find on the social media platform by your competitors or with trends. Trends or very trendy hashtags that are fitting
within your niche. What's your potential
clients or business partner or students wants to see
what entertains them, or they like to learn within this branch that you are having. And by doing so, it will be more easier
to create content. Also, a little advice that is helping ready for
us is to build in one time a lot of
contents that you can create for one
month or two weeks, whatever you feel that
is desired, come fast, offering a lot, a lot of templates that are
fitting with your niche. That are maybe fishing with a brand name
that you are having. You can also design if you
feel creative, your own post. If so, social media is a very interesting and
probably the most easiest way to get clients, business partners, or students. It will only take a
little bit of time. So be patient, just regularly post and watch the magic happen. With that being said,
we are going to our next chapter and this
will be about finances. To see over there.
6. 4.1 - Plan your Finance and your Goals: Finances. Before I'm going to
start this chapter, I hated to break its view or
maybe even disappoint you, but we are not going to
discuss how to do your taxes, how to do your finances, because in every country you have different
rules and we cannot discuss African tree
in this chapter, I would highly advise as
a starter business owner who go have an accountants
use an accounting tool. Maybe your bank is offering
some free courses or have a financial advisor
to help you in the first one or three
years by your finances. And then after you
can always learn how to do it yourself if
there's a need for it. What I can teach you is how to use your money
on the smart way and be able to travel
the world and don't come broke back if you ever come back
with that being said, let's dive into it. Step one, giving yourself a price if you're
selling products, There's a different formula that you can use to
sell your products. But if you create services, it's really hard to
give yourself a price. Every remote worker,
digital know mate, full-time traveler,
even an intrapreneur, districts doing from
out of his home offers. His work has been through the same struggle as
where you are right now. One avoids working by our, as I said before, it's
good to have in our way, but tries to avoid
working for our not only is this a very time-consuming
administration work, It's also hard to prove to the clients that you have
actually also work e.g. 10 h, they will say, Oh no, I don't believe it can also be a two hour job and you always go into conflicts with your
client or business partner. If you are e.g. a. Virtual assistant or you
offer an SEO services, tried to create a
package that offers like a monthly time amount with different times that is fitting the needs of
your clients budget. And if the client is having a big project or something
else that requires more time, you can discuss
beforehand the prices that comes over the monthly
fee that you are spending. So that'll be your hour rate or you can just
structured a torch. I leave this part up to you. Our files to start with, a good hour rate is between
50 and 65-year-old. Actually VAT to how many years
of experience do you have? When I am Mark started
our journey together. We had one till no
years of experience. So in the beginning we
took every project for the price that they
were just offering to just create a portfolio for us. Our fault was that we were going on for too long
with these prices, almost nine months, so one year. And with this mistake, you only don't show, you don't price the value and quality that
you are offering, but you also become a
thing of your own wallet. So for the I don't
have the budget. Can I pay you
insatiability clients? Not only it is very painful that they don't see your worth and value that you
are offering new surface. Because it's even worse, is that they think
they can pay with visibility on their 500s
follower Instagram account. But if you have a
potential customer, you are offering three types
of services, like e.g. a. Graphic designer, you offer
just more than only a logo. And the client is saying to you, I don't have to purchase it. Don't give them a discount. Just say, Okay, you
want three services, you don't have the budget. Let's do one or two first, and then later on when
you have more money, we can do the third surface. Or you can create
different kinds of packages that is giving the
same amount of services. But they are more cheaper
or more expensive or so they can fit any type of patriot that your
client's needs. That brings us to
tip number four, create service packages.
I'll say it again. I'll say it again. We
don't give a discount. We create surf packages. Let's take again as an
example, the graphic designer. As a graphic designer, you can offer the same
things with more surfaces, like the total package, or you do a little bit less for a little bit
cheaper like this. You also don't give the
opportunity to your client or business partner
that they can ask for discount because you
can just say to them, over the fastest
out of your budget, I have another
package that maybe fits your needs and
your budget, e.g. package one, you offer a logo, colors, and fonts for 500 euro. With Package number
two, you offer logo, alternative logo, color, forms, and digital prints, 4,000 Euro. Package number three,
you offer a logo, alternative logo,
colors, phones, digital print icon sets can be used for social
media or website, and a branding strategy
plan for 1,700 euro. So this is how to deal
with clients that shaded down to for
budget and they want to have a
discount or whoever. This is, how you friendly, you can advise them to go
to another package file. What is your goal
for the future? Let's go back to the
first chapter where we have talked about our
dream challenge and, you know, right now how much money you want to make a day. If you say you want to
make 500 euro a day, you, you are a graphic
designer, e.g. and you are selling a logo, just a logo for 100 euro. You need to create
seven days a week, five logos a day. This is an insane amount
of work that is almost impossible to do with
your future goals. You can also take in mind how much effort you
need to do by creating the surfaces to come to the needs of your
girlfriend future. We understand that if
you have a 500 euro out, if you need to create
500 euro a day, it will be hard to achieve this in the
beginning if you don't have as much experience. So take your time. Your future goal is there. It will come step to create
an offer they can't refuse. When we were startups, we were sending the
exact same PDF as a quotation as our invoice
until one day we were working together with a
business coach and we were thrilled to have this
project was a big one. It's also an excited wall
and the client was nice. So we have created
together well, I'm going to get
the grades to her. She has created a
quote presentation. This whole presentation, most by far the best thing
that I've ever seen to convert a client or potential client to an
actual paying clients. Unfortunately, we
didn't get the project, it's been sent to
another agency. But after we have only use a recitation for our
potential clients and we have a 90% conversion. Just because we are spending more time on the quotes
then our competitors. This has been really
sets from clients. So we know that this quote
presentation is working. I've created a
template for you so that you can use
it also if needed. So I'm going to dive into it and we are going
to check it out together. This is the front page. Of course, you can put
in your own colors, designs, whatever you like. You have. Not
necessarily templates for this uncomfort with, if you desire and other
templates you can use e.g. you can search in template
brand strategies or brand presentation
because they are the similar kind of designs
that we have created here. So we are going through a table contents intro
about portfolio, why us quotes, timeline and
FAQ contents of our proposal. You put down the surface. In this grows, you will
find our shirt as far as to make your
projects successful. Just a little introduction of what you are going to offer, then you will have a small
talk about your company. So your company
name, Who are you? Maybe a small introduction
why you started your company official
uniqueness, strength. You hold fishy in a small
little Chet picture of you. For more personality. You can put here
your portfolio, e.g. I've used here again,
the graphic designer. If you are an SEO or copyright, is a creator, you can use websites that you have
right for online magazines. If you are a photographer, you can put in your
YouTube channel, just puts your portfolio
your previous work. It's always interesting
to show this to people. Your goals can be achieved. So this is again your fishy, but then more specific into coals that are fitting
with their projects. The problem they are having, maybe a string, you are unique, you name it just three points that will happen after
the f work with you. Then the quote itself
on the left side, you can see in this grows, you will find our advice to
make your project a success. So a description of the client needs of
all your services. Why I will put there as five and not like this is
what we're offering, is because when you put
it on an advice way, they were more likely to take all of your services because they give an advice from
an expert in this subject. Also, what is important to
note if you are working with companies is to put all of
our prices are exclusive. The VAT rates of your,
of your country. Because not all the
VAT numbers are validated to work
globally in Europe, maybe your clients are only in your own country that
you are working. But if you are from
the Netherlands, e.g. and you do businesses with
clients from friends. There's are some VAT rules
that are in Europe and if the fee is the number of the client is not
validated for debts. There are different
roles, so again, check this with your
financial advisor, accountant or your
shelf, how to do so? Then we have surface
number one, dropped down. All the things you will
do within this surface. If there is another surface, you put it down again
with the prices of these packages and with
the total price amount. Then project roadmap here, you can put what you're
going to do per week, per day, per month
within this project. If there is a project or
deadline for your client, then you can create a different
presentation for them. And in the end, we have the FAQ. I will put in here
the use of rice. Maybe if you have an F, the care and support, how that is working for your client, deadlines
and shipping. If you are a graphic designer, you design business card, e.g. how is the shipping
working and payments? If you are working
with payment plans or you are working
with the first pay, a deposit of 50% and in the end, write it down so that they know in forehand
how you are working. So this is a kind of mini terms and conditions that you are working with and
most of the time. And the values that you are friends really
important when you are working with these clients,
this quote presentation, maybe a little bit more
of work than just sending a simple PDF and replace
invoice for quotes. How nice it is for
your client or business partner that
they can see that you already have put so much
value in their projects or that dream by creating a
simple coil presentation. Again, just a quick reminder, make this code presentation
your own branding and your own phishing
identity in it, so that you can create
your unique unicorn.
7. 4.2 - How to save money?: We are going to the less part
of the financial chapter. I'm going to tell
you a little bit of a story and this is
my personal story, how I have learned to
manage shaving again, I've never been in build
depth and when I was younger, I have paid for my own school. So I didn't took any study
helps from the governments, so I'm very proud of that. But after-school, there
has been a period in my life that I wasn't
really a material girl, like some of Madonna. And I spent all of
my savings and I was having to unnecessary things that I don't even have anymore. At one moment, I saw
that I was going broke and I knew that I needed
to change something too. Don't go into depths. Shall I needed to
change my lifestyle? Then? My lifestyle change
was to travel. You don't need to have
thousands of Euros to a couple of thousands of euros to be able
to travel the world. It's just that it
can be nice to have a buffer when you are
going to start traveling. So I just saved for
this buffer and then I went on, went traveling. Now a couple of years later, I can really say that
I am very strict with how I spend my money
and to save money also. This sounds very like you
don't have fun anymore, but I am traveling already for three years full-time right now. I live as a golf. I go out for dinner every week, so it's not that I don't
live my life anymore. I just want to don't
spend money on materials, things that I don't need. Also, if you live out of a suitcase or you
live in a camper van, you need to become a
minimalist because you can carry on five suitcases every time you are
going to travel. So what I'm trying to learn
you is that everyone is going to make in the journey how to learn to deal with money. They're going to make
expensive mistakes. Even though until today, I still make some times
expensive mistakes and buy things that I
in the end don't need. Or maybe you already have. The thing is we just live in
a world where the media has so much power over
us that we need to buy and to buy into buy-in, to consume, we need to
have the newest iPhone. We need to be walking in the latest fashion trends that only lasts for maybe two weeks. Or maybe you go out with friends who have a drink
and you only stick to one glass of wine
and you go after to water because it's more cheaper. You are being a bummer or
you are a party breaker. Thing is, when you are managing to learn how to
deal with your money, how to make your savings. It is so distressing. And as a full-time traveler, it is really important
to have a buffer because if something
is happening, your inner circle and
you want to fly back, you always have this
money to go back. Let's go to the first part, the first step or one. Having a buffer,
as I said before, having a buffer is so
distressing for your life. Maybe you're saving files
on your bank that can go very easily through a lot of apps that you have in your
phone with your bank, a buffer that you can only use in a life or
death situation. I would advise you serve at
least a minimum of 2702, cuts the credit card. I am completely terrified with
this little plastic cards. Personally, I don't
have a credit card. I only have one for
business because there are no other
payment methods that are offering when you are shipping worldwide or buying both wise, I directly pay off
the creditors. I'm having all my
credit cards and if I don't have the
money at that time, I will not even buy it. I will not do it. If I don't have the
money, I don't spend it because I just
don't get the system. How you are able to spend money if you don't
have the money. So many people have become
homeless because of a credit card debts
that it scares me. Borrowing money, cost money. Sometimes when you
are traveling, you unfortunately need
to have a credit card. So I will advise you
to have one because sometimes there's no
other option if you are traveling in America, e.g. you can only pay
with a credit card. Or in Europe if you
want to rent a car, you need to have a credit card, but only uses for Dan and
directly pay off your debts or some credit cards also offered as you put
money on this credit card. Do that, don't spend it. If you don't have to
pay your shelf out. As an entrepreneur,
you are not getting a monthly fixed salary like just having when you
are working for a job. Even if you have
a passive income, it is therefore very
difficult to send to your shavings
or to yourself to spend an extra amount
of money every time. When I started the journey
as an entrepreneur, I did from directly
from the beginning, I puts 20% that comes in to
my say things and 20% salary. So I can live from that, from every amount
that was coming in. If you find that 20% of saving
is a bit too much for you, you can always do to ten. Just be very disciplined for this when it comes
to your shavings and paying yourself out to your salaries because that's
what you are working for. It's important to
pay yourself out. Making, saving and habit is very important for
your long-term goals. The volunteer for i, down in the dream challenge
in our first chapter, try to visualize only that, that money is for those goals and not
for material purposes. Unless it is an investment like a better laptop camera or
whoever, for your company. Again, having this
kind of savings, even if it's for a
buffer long-term goal that you are having
or an investment. These tress you a yoga class in Indonesia
or in Bali with a few on the right fields
or jungle will never distress you as much as
having money on your account. Plan, your Texas. This is a difficult and dangerous
subjects to talk about. I personally find that taxes are the most difficult part to understand when you are
becoming an entrepreneur. As the rules are just so
difficult that don't make sense. I just don't get it. Also,
times have been changing. We are getting more
freelancers, digital nomads, people who are working with clients out of
their own country. And the Texas are not
in fulfilling in this. So the rules are
still the old rules. And it's very difficult to
understand which rights you have and which
rights you don't have. Having that said, I would
say that I know one thing about taxes and that is that
we all needs to pay it. Whether it's 20%, 9% or 0%, zero, you don't need to
pay, but as well moment, you need to pay your taxes. And I see around me and with other
entrepreneurs that they don't really care
about the costs that are going to
come at the end of the year with your Texas. And for that, they are
always in surprise for the costs that are coming
by the end of the year. I will say let me be clear. The Texas has no sympathy
if you say to them, oh, sorry, I forgot about you. They don't care. They will even put a really
high fee on it and you even need to pay is really a ****** **** hole if you
are occurring into this. So I'm going to
give you some tips on how to prepare yourself. The texts, costs
are going to come, so be prepared for it and maybe even have a little bonus
for yourself in the ends. Depending on your country
you're living in, you have different kinds of presentation of texts
that you needed to pay. This can be per year, per month, per week, depending also on the nice
texture we're having. This tax rate is really high, really difficult to calculate because there are different
kinds of rules that can decrease or
increase the amount, like your investment production
costs, travel costs. You name it again. If you want to know how much
effort you are going to pay, talk with the
financials phi share, or talk with your bank if they are offering these
kind of services. And calculate together with them what you need to pay maybe
at the end of the year. Are you ready for comfort
challenge number two. Good. We have an expression
and Netherlands, and that says Im2. And I say no to everything
as a toddler the first time or as a toddler off to around or two or
three around this age, they will go into a phase. So they will say
no to everything. And I think you can already
feel where I'm going to you are going to do
the exact same thing. Not necessarily
for everything you are going on this dream journey, but you don't need to go
out on the inner every day. You can also just stay in and cook something for yourself. Make it or five
friends to your home, watch a movie at home. It will save you so much money
by the end of the month. Before I go to the next chapter about our last and
final chapter, I just wanted to say
how proud I am of you, how far you have
come that you want to take this step to finally
get your dream life. I'm just beyond proud.
8. 5 - How to work remotly? : S and final chapter,
they're remote journey. You may be wondering why we are doing this chapter
as less and others. First, we have tissue a
little bit, sorry, not sorry. But we wanted that you
are going to create your own purpose in
how you are going to use your skill to start
to remote journey job. Does we also understand that even if you've watched
all of these chapters, you can still be a
bit of confused. What you can do as
a remote worker, or maybe you are still
not 100% convinced if you think this lifestyle is
fitting with you or not. So we have created
a guide sheets with different kinds of
IDs that you can use to use to create with the skill that
you are having right now, the remote job of your dreams. And if you are doubting whether this lifestyle is
fitting with you or not, we will share I will share
the pros and cons of having a digital nomad lifestyle
as I am experienced with this lifestyle
because we are traveling like this
for over three years. I think this lifestyle is
personally for everyone. If you are ready to go out of your comfort zone in the end, we all know that as well
moment you're just tired of it and you have to
desire to settle down. So don't be afraid of
thinking like, Oh, but maybe within one year
of being a digital nomad, I don't want to do this anymore. You can always go back
with at least you will not regret it of trying to travel and work in the same
time whenever you want all over world and to have
the absolute freedom. That makes directly our PO, number one is that you
have the ultimate freedom. You have the roles on your feet. You can work, you can, you can work in cafes
in your Airbnb on the beach if you
feel safe enough to take your left off
on the beach if needed. Because that's the
only thing you need. Your suitcase or backpack
and your laptop. Or if you are a photographer
or videographer, you need to have your
camera and other equipment. I think this is the biggest pro that you have as
a digital nomad, that you'll have this freedom to go everywhere in the
world where you want to go. Number two, social connections. For me, personally, this
is a disadvantage and advantage in the same
time as the disadvantage, it is sometimes pretty hard to miss your family,
your friends. And two, don't share specific kind of comfort
that you're having within your inner circle is a very funny advantage
is that when you are meeting other travelers
or digital nomads, you can create
within a couple of seconds of very, very
deep connection. As you notice, it's
going to be temporary or maybe a lifetime when you are missing someone that
you know is struggling and having his own journey
in traveling the world, you will put all the
boundaries down. The ice is immediately
broken and you just share your
whole life story. You experience your thoughts, your emotions,
that you maybe not even if sharing
your inner circle, this kind of connections are so extremely valuable
for me, this journey. As you're doing such
beautiful people, soul shall learn
so much from it. A homecoming. Maybe now, this is
not a con, for you. But when we were traveling in our first year of
digital nomads, we were doing the backpacking in Asia after we were
traveling a little bit around from places in
Euro out of our suitcase. And this was just not for us. We were missing a
place that we can just be ourselves,
feel comfortable. We don't need to be all time with other people in the house. So that's why we are
doing right now fan life. And for us this is
working the best, maybe not directly for you, but this can be very
comfortable thing to note that there is a
place where you can go to rather than as you need to stay in a friend's house or with your family all the time so that you have your own
staff, your place. Don't see also that
directly you need to, if you are a digital mates, that you directly need to
have a place to come home to. You can just leave
everything behind. If there is a place
you can always go to stay, just to rest. You can always
settle down laser. It's okay for you need a
lot of self-discipline. If you think it was hard
to work from home during the lockdowns that were
there during the pandemic, traveling full-time and working and having the responsibility
that comes with work. Our way harder. Because when you are
traveling the world, you want to do your bucket list the things that
are around there. You want to taste
all the local foods. But you also have the
responsibilities for your client needs with the taxes that you
need to do, e.g. the administration, these kind
of things can be very hard to match together to enjoy life and to have
fewer responsibilities. On the other size was we personally do is we
have a scheduled from Monday to
Thursday from A22. So in the morning when
the clients are the most active and they have the most time to be
available for us. We are working. And after we have just
a whole afternoon free, if there's a client that can meet us within this time-frame, of course, we need
to be flexible and we will work
in the evenings. And on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we are off. So you have a
little mini holiday in which you can do
your bucket list, travel around it out, and just enjoy life also, I see that other digits
anomalies are doing is that they are working
for an amount of time. It can be two months,
three months, half year. You name it. And then after they go on a
so-called mini retirements for the amount that they have saved the
period amount the day. If say you want to see everything in a
short amount of time, I understand when you are
starting this journey, it is really overwhelming
and you want to see as much as possible if the world in a short amount of time. This can be an advantage to see everything as much as possible
within a short time frame. Because you can easily get
tired and maybe even burn out of traveling around as it
can cause a lot of stress. And this was also
the last column pro con of the dish
genomic lifestyle. I believe in you that
you are going to love it and to rock this remote journey, please share with us every
thing you're going to do. We are so thrilled to see what kind of job
you're going to do, your portfolio, your identity, maybe even your social media if you wanted to
share that with us. We just can't wait to see
your doing your dream life. And with that being said, this is the end of the course. I won't say it again
because I'm so, so proud of you that
you have come this far to create a dream
life that you so deserve. And I can't wait to
see out on the roads.
