1. Introduction: Hi guys. My name is Ranish Malhan. And today I will show you how we can convert a black and white image into a colored image. Here is the result which we will get. So this one is the before and this one is the after. So let's see how we can do this. I will show you the easiest and the most reliable way of doing this. So let's meet in the next video in which we will see how we can start.
2. Setting Up: In this video, we
will see how we can create the
colors to firstly, we need the skin color and the clothing color and
background color, right? So we need to create
three colors. First, we will start
with the skin color. So basically for the skin color, we need a reference image. So here you can see that we
have this reference image, but we can use this
to, let's use it. Before that, I will use the Move tool and I will drag
this image to this file. Here you can see that
we have this image. Now we want to sample
the skin colors. So I will crop this
image so that we can only have the
skin colors with us. So I will use the Marquee Tool. And then after activating
the marquee tool, I will create a selection, basically this one
instead of selection. So I will use the
Layer Mask here. You can see that I will
click on it to now you can see we only have
the face, right? So I will drag towards the side. Now, we need to
sample the colors. In the next video, we will see how we can
sample the colors.
3. Taking Samples of the Colors: Guys, welcome back.
In this video, we will see how we can
sample the colors. Before that. We need a highlight color, we need a shadow color. We need slightly less darker
color from the shadow, and we need less brighter color. And plus, we need a mid-tone. So we need five samples. But for that, we need to
use the eyedropper tool, which will take a sample for us. Right here is that to
this Bannister tool. We will click on it. Now you can see that
this one is active. And make sure, make sure
in the Options bar, the sample size should
be five-by-five or 11 by 11 according
to your requirement. Basically, by default, it will be on point sample like this. So you need to change it to something like five
by five or 11 by 11. This is because if we
select the point sample, then it will sample
only one pixel. So basically pixels are these. Here. You can see
that the boxes, so basically one box
contains only one color, so we don't want to
sample only one color. We need a every scholar
offer area. Before that. We need to sample a
skier of five-by-five, and it will calculate the average color of
that five-by-five area, and we will have a
better color sample. Let's try to do that. I will zoom in with
the control plus. Now here you can see
that here is the face. So we are going to sample the eyedropper
tool is active and you can see that the shortcut
key for this is I write. So you can press, I do activate this
eyedropper tool. So now I want to sample
the highlight here. You can see that on the
no-slip there is a highlight. So I need to click here. Now we have sampled the color. So I will do one thing. I will create a
new layer in which we will paint with
the sampled colors. So basically we are creating
a palette right here. You can see that for painting, we need a brush tool. So I will go here and I
will select the brush tool. For the brush tool, you can also use the shortcut
key, which is b. Here you can see that this
is the shortcut key, right? So we will use this brush
makes sure the hardness, you'd be hundred percent
like this, right? So flow and opacity should also be hundred percent and
mode should be normal. So now we will be
able to paint here, but makes sure the Caps
Lock should be off. Otherwise you will
not get the idea about the size of the
brush you are having. Right now you can see that
I am getting a plus sign. So basically if I turn
the caps lock off, you can see that now
we have a circle. Basically. This
circle represents the size of the brush, right? So I'm going to increase
the brush, nice. You can also do this from here. Or you can use the right
bracket key like this. So now we're going to
paint here like this. You can see that now we will take the sample of
the darkest color, which will work like a shadow. So I'm going to press I, as we know that the
shortcut key for the eyedropper tool is right. Though. I'm going to take the
sample from here like this. Now you can see that the sample is activated in the foreground. So now we will be able
to paint over here. So I'm going to activate
the brush tool like this. Great. So we have a highlight
and a shadow color. Now, next we will take a
sample of the mid tone. For the mid tones, what
we are going to do, I'm going to press the I key to activate the
eyedropper tool again. I think this might
be a mid tone. So I'm going to click here. Let's paint with it. So press B. And here you can see that
we are painting with it. But this looks like
a highlight color, so we need a new
highlight color. So let's see which will work. I'm going to press I. Let's try to take a sample
of the highlight from here. We will paint it over here. Yes. Now we have a highlight color. That one was the mid-tone color. Now, we are going
to take a sample of slightly less brighter color. I'm going to press the IGY. This time. We are going to take a
sample from this area. Right? Let's paint. Great. Now the next task is to take
a sample of less dark area. Right? Before that, I think this area will
be good for us. But we are going to paint
this color like this. Right? Now as you can see, our appellate is ready. So now we will clean
it up so that we can use it or our image, right? So now what we need to do is we need to take marquee tool. And now I will create a
selection like this, right? And then what I will do, I will activate the layer mask. Now you can see that we
have a strip of colors. Basically this is our palette, that we will use this palette in the next video where we will see how we can paint the
skin in a proper way. So let's meet in the next video.
4. Understanding the Coloring Procedure: So now in this video we will see how we can paint
with this color. Basically for sleep. What I'm going to do, I'm going to turn this off because we don't
need this image. So I will click here. Now, this image is off though. So far we have this, right. So now we need to pay
these colors on the skin according to the lighting
conditions of the fees, right? So basically what
we need to do here, I will move this color
palette little bit down. Now, if I take the sample
of the highlight color and try to fill the
highlights, it won't work. Let me show you. I'm going to create a new layer. So let's take a sample
of the highlight. Now, we will paint with it. You can see that it
is working like this. Now, let's try to change the blending mode of this
color to that color. So now you can see
that it is not looking good because we need an automated way which can decide which color
tone should go on, which area according to
the lighting conditions. But let's see how
we can do that too. I'm going to turn
this off, right? So let's delete it. Now. I will add an
adjustment layer here you can see that
we have a gradient map. Basically this is the
map which will decide which color tones should
go on which area, right? So I will click on it. So now you can see that we
have something like this. But in your case, it might be like this. If I go here and click here. So basically by default, it looks like this, right? Do we need to tweak that? But before that, we need
to understand this. In the next video, we will try to understand
the gradient map so that we can apply the skin
color properly on her. Let's meet in the next video.
5. Working with Gradient Map: So guys, let's understand
the gradient map, basically the left side
of the gradient map, which is fight right now, it's filling up the shadow
areas of the image, right? And the right side of the
gradient map is black, which is filling up the
highlights of the image. That's why it looks
like a negative, right? So if I reverse this, you will be able to see
now the black is filling up the shadows and the white is filling up the highlights. So basically we need to create a map which will
build the colors from the color palette on the skin according to
the lighting conditions. But basically here
you can see that I will turn the reverse off. Now we will start creating
the gradient map. So basically firstly, what
I'm going to do is to drag this layer down because it is coloring up the
color palette. So it will be difficult
to work like this, right? So I will drag this down. So now we have this to add this time we need to
create the gradient map. I will click here. So
let's change this color. This one is white, so I
will click on the white. Here we need a shadow color. I will double tap on it. Now, you can see that
we have a color picker. I will pick this color. Now, I will click, Okay, but you can see that when ever I tried to take the
sample of this color, it is taking the white color. This is because let's
cancel this out. And let's see the
reason of this. Here you can see that the layer mask is
selected and we know that layer mask work only with the black and
white colors, right? To, we need to select this one. Now, if I go here and
try to change the color, you can see that we are easily
able to map this color on the shadow areas and change
the highlight color. So I will select this color. You can see that we're
getting this type of tone. So basically, I will
pick a new color here, click here, and you
will have a new color. So I will change this color
to the mid tone, like this. And I will add a
color over here. Let's add a color
over here. Great. We need to fill this
color on the skin. But I will commit the change, and now I will change the blending mode to
the color, right? So basically right
now you can see that the color is filled
up on whole image, but we need to limit this
color only on the skin. So basically for that, what we need to do, we need to paint
the layer mask with black so that we can remove
the color from everywhere. Then we will start painting
this color only on the skin. And then we will try to modify this color so that it should
look realistic, right? So basically for that, but we need to do is we need to fill this layer mask with black. Before that, you can see that black is a background color. So for that, we need to
press Control Backspace. Here you can see that we
have this thing now, right? The weekend start
painting on her. But if I start painting, you can see that color
is spilling out. But we have a trick which
can stop this spill. We will try to use that. And let's see what the
trick is in the next video. See you in the next video.
6. Effective way of Painting: So guys, welcome back. In this video we will
see how we can paint properly and how we
can stop this pill. Right? Before that, we need to remove the
background of this image. Let's do it here. You can see that we
have this image. I'm going to turn
everything off, right. I will go to the
Quick Selection Tool. And in the Quick Selection Tool, I will select the
select subject. It will try to data
selection of our object. Here you can see that we have
a great selection with us. Now what we need to do is
we need to right-click over here and here we will
select Layer via Copy, right? So I'm going to
turn this layer on, which is gradient map. Now you can see the
color is spilling out. So we will use the
clipping mask technique. Here. I will hold
the Alt key and move the cursor in-between
the Gradient Map and our cutout right here, you can see that the cursor
changes to this icon. And now I will click
left mouse button while holding the
Alt key like this. So now you can see that all
the spill is gone, right? So this is the
power of selection. We are going to paint here. Before that we
need a brush tool. I'm going to use the shortcut
key, which is the B. And we're going to
paint two here. You can see that we have painted
the actual image, right? We don't want that. I'm going to press
the Control Z, which is undo button. So I'm going to select
the layer mask and we will paint, right? Well, we are going
to paint like this. Great. I'm going to reduce the size. Basically, right now. I want to paint the majority of the area of this
image of her skin. Don't worry about this. We will remove the color
from the extra years. Great. Let's move down. Great. We're going to reduce the size. So now in the next video we will see how we can clean this up, because a lot of the
color is spelled out. We will see how we
can take a lead on, but let's meet in
the next video.
7. Cleaning Up the Spills: Welcome back. In
this video we will see how we can remove the spill, right? So let's move. You can hold the Space key to pan around this image, right? We need to fill
the black color on the areas where we need to
remove the color, right? So I'm going to reduce the size. Great. So here I'm going
to swap these colors. You can swap these
colors by clicking here. You can see that now we have
black in the foreground. If I paint, now, you can see that this
color is removed. We can reduce the size, and we can also use the x
key to swap these colors. I have press the X key. You can see that the
colors are scrapped. So now we have the white. We can easily paint
with white like this. So now again, press the X key. Remove the colors from
these areas because we will try to fill the color here
in their different way. I will show you that
in the next video. Because these are
the areas from which you can easily see the
skin tones, right? But we need a light skin
tone for these areas. Oh, how we can do that? We will see that in
the upcoming videos. Right? So now let's move down. Reduce the size. And also let's decrease
the hardness of the brush. Great. We will also remove
the color from the needles. Let's reduce the
opacity a little bit. So then we can identify
the areas properly. Let's reduce the zoom level. Now you can see that we
have this table reserved. In the next video,
we will try to figure out how we can paint in the areas that we can have a proper being tone
effect on her face. And then we will try to enhance the result more in
Delhi to reduce. Let's meet in the next video.
8. Painting Around the hairs: Hi guys, welcome back. In this video, we
will see how we can paint the color in the areas. Before that, what we need to do is I will press
Control plus the net. We can have a proper
view of the hair areas. And this time we need to
reduce the flow rate. So I will use about
nine per cent. And now I will
increase the size. And let's grab the
colors because we need the white
color painting. And make sure the layer
mask is selected, right? Because we need to reveal the
layer mask with the white. We will paint here. Like this. Basically we are trying to spill less color than before in these areas. Proper effect. Now we need to remove
the color from the lips. Also. Afford that I will press X and increase the flow to 100%. And now we will
remove this color. And then we will paint a
lighter tone of this color. By reducing the slope. Right? At this time, I will
reduce the flu, let's say about nine. And then we will
swap these colors. Great. So now after that, in the later videos, we will create an ellipse color, and we will apply that
color in this area. So I'm going to press Control minus so
that we can zoom out so we can identify the areas
where we need to do that. A chip go here, you can see that in this area, let's increase the flow. And swept Douglas who their weekend able to fill
this area with the black, will now add this time we
need to fill the white with the lower flow rate. Let's see here. Do we need to do something? We need to work on this
area a little bit. Let's swap the
colors and remove, right, and then swap the colors, reduce the flow about nine. And paint on this area. Like this. Let's press Control Zero. To zoom out. Though so far we have
this type of result. I think there is some issue. We can also deal with that. Yeah. We have forgot to fill
this these areas. Before that, I'm going
to use the low flow. And I will fill these areas with white so that we
can have the color. Like this noun. The result looks
great. At this time. You can see that we
have forgotten to fill this color on
the needs, right? So we need a lower flow. Now, we can easily able to fill that color here like this. Right? We can also do the
same thing over here. Great. So you can press Control zero. Now we have this thing. I think this looks great, but it is not realistic yet. Though. In the next video, we will try to
make it little bit more near to the
realistic realism. So let's see you
in the next video.
9. Blending Colors with Blend If: Hey guys, welcome back. In this video we are
going to see how we can move towards
Surrealism right? Before that. But we need to use, we need to use the
blending options, right? I'm not talking
about these options. We need to set
this to the color. We need to change
it to the color. So now we need to open the
blending options for that, I will go to the layer
which is gradient map one. So basically this one
is the skin color. So I'm going to blend this
color on this image or that I will go to the
empty space on this layer. And here we'll double-tap
with the left mouse button. Here you can see that
we have a layer styles. In the Layer Styles we
have Blending Options. If you go down to the blend, if here you can see
that we have the blend if here we have two options. First one is this layer, and second one is
underlying layer, right? To basically here we will use the underlying layer
because underlying layer will adjust blending
according to the pillars present
on the bottom layer. Basically, we need to blend these colors with
the bottom layer. That's why we are going to
use the underlying layer. And here you can see
we have two sliders. The left slider will
blend this layer with the shadow areas of the
bottom layer, right? So if I show you, if I move this color
towards the right, you will be able to see
the color is removing from the shadow areas of the
bottom layer right there. Basically, if we want to remove this color from
the shadow areas, you can see that we need to move this color
towards the right. And if we want to remove this effect from the
highlight areas, you need to move this
slider towards the left. Like this. But basically we will use these
sliders and we will blend that color with the bottom layer according to the
lighting conditions. Here. If I move this
towards the right, it will remove the color
from the shadow areas, but we need a smooth transition here you can see that it is removing the color and there is no smooth
transition, right? So we need a smooth transition. If I zoom in, you will be able to see there
is a harsh line. So we need a holding
effect, transition effect. Before that, we need
to hold the Alt key. And then I will go to this
slider and click on it. You can see that this slider
is split into two parts. I will move the left
part towards the left. Now you can see
that we are getting a very soothing effect. So I'm going to
press Control minus so that we can have a
look on whole image. I'm going to move this
slider like this. Now we will move this one because we need to remove
the color from the pilots. So here you can see that
the color is removed. But again, we need
a smoothing effect. So I will hold the Alt key
and I will click here. And now this slider is also
split it into two parts. So I'm going to move this
slider towards the right. Now we have this type of effect, but we can adjust the
effect like this. We had this type of thing. I hope you liked it. In the next video, we will try to make
it more realistic. We'll see you in the next video.
10. Adding Details to the Skin: So guys, welcome back. In this video, we are going to make it more
realistic, right? So for that, we will
paint the veins and also we will change the
color a little bit, right? To vote that what we need to do, we need to add a new
adjustment layer, which is hue saturation. I'm going to click here. Now we will turn on
the clipping mask. For that, the effect
of this layer should go only on the Dawn. Right? Now, at this time, I will click here so that we
can limit the effect more. I will select this. Hello. Now you can see that we have
this limitation over here. I'm going to increase
the area like this. Add this frame. I'm going to move the
cursor little bit to adjust the color grade, but we have adjusted the color. Now we need to paint
the veins on her. Right. So basically for
that, what we need to do, we need to add a new hue
saturation for this. And I will again limited
with the clipping mask. Then we will select this tool so that we can pick the color tone for
us, like this one. Right? So you, again, you can see that the
limitation is created. This time. Again. I will increase it a little bit like this right toe. Now, this time we need to
move the hue towards the red. Right? Before that, I think. Yeah. Now we have the reds over here. So now at this time we will remove this color
from everywhere. And then we will try
to paint this color on certain areas where
we want it, right? Basically for that,
what we need to do, we need to change the color
of this layer mask to black. Black is the background color. I will use the Control
Backspace, right? So here you can see that the effect of this
color is gone. Now what we will do
is we need to paint this color on the
certain areas where we can see the redness. Right? Now, if you have a
look on your skin, you will find some vagueness. Even on the face,
like on my face, It's about here, right? But we need to paint
accordingly, right? So now what we need to do, we need to take the brush tool and the white should
be foreground color, and the flow should be low. Right? I'm going to increase the
brush size little bit. And I will paint this
color over here. Like this. I think the flu should be
on the higher side, right? 26 should be fine. Now let's zoom into the eyes. Here we need to paint a little bit red like this. Now you can notice
the before and after. Here you can see that this is the before result and
this one is the after. There is slight difference, but you will be not able to see it properly on the screen. Please follow along with me, download these images from the exercise files and try
to do that by yourself. And if you get any doubt, then please try to contact me. I will help you out. Right here you can see that
we have this type of result. And if you want to reduce the effect of this gradient map, then go to the gradient map and reduce the opacity a little bit like this, right? This is the effect
which we have so far. Now in the next video, what we're going to do, we are going to fill the
color in the lips, right? And also, I have noticed that there is some spin
around the hand. But we can remove
that out easily. And you know that
how we can do that. So basically let's do
that in this video. I will go here and now I will press the biggie so that we
have the brush tool active. And now I'm going
to swap the colors. We're going to
remove the dollar, but the flu is too low. Let's increase the flow like this. Right? Great. So now we have a cleaner look. Right now. We are going to add
different colors in the image so that we can
get a proper result. Right? So let's meet in
the next video where we will see how we can
create a lips color. Then we will move further towards the clothing
and the background.
11. Coloring the Lips: Hi guys, welcome back. In this video, we
are going to paint the lips right before the lips. What I'm going to
do is I'm going to take the sample
again from this image. Before that we have
this image here also. Again, let's take the sample. Before that, I'm going
to press the I key and then I will find
out the highlight. Again. You can see that we have
selected the layer mask. We need to select this. Now you can see that we
have the lips color. I'm going to press the biggie and increase the
hardness to about 100, 100 opacity is rendered, but we can paint it over here. But you can see that we are
painting on the image itself. So we need a new layer grid. We have a lighter color, offers lips, we need
the darker tone. Basically, I'm going to use the two colors only
for this right? Now what we need to do is we need to create a
new gradient map. Right? I will drag this down. And I will do one thing that I will clip this also
with the lower layers, but I don't think we need that. Basically, we will
remove the color. I will press Control I to invert the color
of the layer mask. Then I will press
Control plus so that we can easily
zoom in to this area. But before that, as we have
the palette over here, we need to create the
colors accordingly. I'm going to select
the gradient map. I will click here. Now, I will change the
color to this color, and I will also select this one. Let's move this one to about here and reduce the saturation. Like this. Night. Though we
have this type of effect. Now we need to
fill the lips with this zooming with the control
plus no breasts Biggie. And select the layer
mask and start painting. Degrees the hardness. Like this. And now
we need to change the blending mode
about color, right? And we can also decrease
the opacity a little bit having the proper result. And then I will click here. I will do the
double-click to open the layer options
or layer style. Then I will go to the blended, to the underlying layer. And I will move this
thing little bit, and I will press Alt
to split the sliders. Now we will also do the same
thing with the highlights. Hold the Alt key and click
here to split the sliders and move the slider
towards the right. Now you can see that
we have this type of effect controls zero. And now you can see we have
a proper looking lips right? Now. The next thing is to
paint their clothing areas. Painting the clothing
areas is very easy because we have the
selection of other areas. So we can easily subtract those areas from the
clothing area, right? So let me show you
how we can do that. In the next video. We'll see you in the next video.
12. Adding Colors to Clothes and Background: So guys, welcome back. But before starting,
I am going to rename these layers so that we can understand
what's going on. So I'm going to
double-click on it. The first one is the skin color. We are going to name
it like that. Right? The second one is the
tweaking of skin color. And then we have this term. This one is the veins, right? And then we have this one. This one is the lipstick. Right? And then we need to paint the loading right
before the clothing. What I'm going to do is I'm
going to turn off this. Then I will go here to
the adjustment layer. We can either map
the gradient map or we can also use the
solid color, right? So you can also use the
solid color for this. But I'm going to use
the gradient map. Go here is the gradient
map to firstly, what we need to do is we
need to hold the Control. Click here. You can see that the selection of
the skin is made with this holding that control key and click on the layer mask. It will create this lecture. Well now what you need
to do is you need to paint this layer mask according
to the selection, right? So I want the black
color over here. Let's rate of black
color in the foreground. And I'm going to
press Alt backspace. Here you can see
that this color is removed from the skin, right? So I'm going to press
Control D. The second thing, which I'm going to do is I'm going to move this
layer little bit down. And I will hold the
Alt key so that I can clip it with the
burnt out, right? So here you can see
that Let's rename it to the clothing colors, right? Basically this one
is for the clothing. Now we can see that we don't
want this also though, I'm going to make a
selection like this. And I will fill it with the
black again. Alt Backspace. Now you can see that we have this color only on the floats. So let's create a
color for our clothes. I will go here, and now
I will create a color. Or we can also select
a color from here. Like this. Let's say Zoom. We are going to use this color and change the color
mode to color. Then you can reduce the opacity. And then you can go to the
layer options, their styles. And then here you can see learned if I go to
the underlying layer, move it little weird though, hold the Alt key. Click here to split the slider and move it a
little bit towards here. Like this. Now, move the highlight
slider here with the Alt key. No, move it a little bit. Now commit the change here. You can see that we have
a very good effect. Now, if you want to
paint the background. So you can do it very easily. Just go here and take a
solid color like this. You can take a selection of this color
because I like this. Now go to the color. We have this background. Now you can see that our images looking so amazing, right? So we need to paint the
colors on these flowers. Now. So we will do that in the
next video. See you then.
13. Coloring the Flowers: So guys, welcome back. In this video, we are going
to paint these flowers, which are over here. Basically, we will try to create multiple colors
for these flowers. I'm going to press
Control plus over here so that we can have a proper view of
these flowers, right? So I'm going here. Now. As you can
assume that we can go here and we can take a
gradient map again, right? I will go here. And let's select a
color from here. I'm going to use the pink. This one. Remove the colors by pressing Alt Backspace as our foreground color
is black, right? So I'm going to press the B key. And this time I'm going to
flip the colors, right? Because we need the white color. I'm going to paint. But before that, I'm
going to move it down because we need to clip
this layer with the cutout. And I'm going to press Alt so that we can
flip this layer. Here. You can see that
we are able to paint, but before that, we need
to change that color mode. And also I'm going to play
with the layer style. There you can see that we
have the blending option. I am going to move the
slider a little bit. Hold the Alt key and
click here to split the slider and then
move the slider back. Also move this slider
here to the bit rate. We are getting a very
soothing effect. Reduce the opacity a little bit. Here. This looks great. We are going to paint like this. I'm going to paint the alternate
flower with this color. Then I will use the separate
color for the other flowers. Great. So now what we
need to do is I will take a duplicate of this layer and I will fill it
with the black. Before the black, I will
use Control Backspace. Now you can see that
the color is removed. I'm going to paint over here. And I will change
the color later. Great. We will have a little bit different
color for these flowers. I'm going to select this
one and I will go here. And I will select
something else like this. Yeah, we're getting a very
good effect over here, but there is a problem
which we need to sort out. Right here. You can see that we need to
change the color over here. Before that, I need
to remove this color. Spap Douglas know, you
can paint over here a little bit. Looks great. I will go here and paint the
purple color that we have, the foreground color, white, bread, eggs. So now we have a very
good effect and we have a very good result, right? So in the next video, we will see how we
can paint the eyes. Then we will have a very
good result, right?
14. Adding Colors to Eyes: So welcome guys. In
this video we will see how we can paint the eyes. But before that, let's rename
our layers so that we can understand what these layers
are doing right here. You can see that we need
to rename this layer. Basically this one is the purple flower and this
one are the pink flowers. Right? So we have a very
good thing over here. So now we need to
paint the eyes, right? So I'm going to domain
towards the eyes little bit. You can see that we need to create our
color for the eyes. I'm going to use the
gradient map again. Hold the Alt key to
clip this layer. But if you don't want to
clip this there, it's okay. Because we don't need
the cut-out for this. I'm going to remove the
clipping mask right? Now, change the layer mask to black that I will hold down
Control and press Backspace. Now we will start
painting on the eyes. I will press Becky introduced
the size of the brush. I will paint the eyes like this. So basically we need to change
it to words that color. And then what we need to do, we need to select a
proper color for this. So I will click here and
let's make the color black. Then in the hind leg. I want some bluish highlight. Before that, I will go here like this, right? But we are having a
very good effect. So I'm going to click, Okay. Now you can reduce the
opacity of the color. Little bit like this. And then you can add a hue saturation layer lipid with the gradient
map, like this. And then you can
change the color. This color will be good for us. I'm going to reduce the
opacity a little bit. Great. So as you can see, we have a spill little bit. We can remove that spill
with the black color. I'm going to grab the colors. And then we will paint over
here to fine tune the eyes. Also with the Gradient
Map. Do the same thing. Right? Who we need a little
bit off rates for this area. I'm going to create those. We can also use the solid
color, which is red. I'm going to move it up. Remove the clipping mask. Then. Can word
this layer mask to black Alt backspace because black is the foreground
color right now. That's why. And change
the mode to color and reduce the flow rate
to about 14 or 13. And now step the colors
that we can easily paint like this,
reduce the opacity. Great. So we are having a
very good effect right now. But we need some
veins over here. Before that, what we need to do is we need a gradient map. Basically, on the darker side, we need some redness. And on the brighter side, we need the whites
paid the debt, but we need to do, we need to create
a gradient map. On the left side, I will have the
red border veins, and then on the brighter side, I will have the white, right? Let's change the
color mode to color. The color of the layer mask to basically I'm going
to make it black. Before that, I will press Control Backspace
as the black color is in the background. Basically here you can see
that we have this thing. Now we will start
painting like this. Now I will press Control
zero. At this time. They're either looking horrible, but we are going to
use the Layer Styles. I will double-tap here. Now, here you can see that we
have the underlying layer. I'm going to remove the color
a little bit like this. Now, hold the Alt key and
click here to split the data. And move the slider to all
the way towards the right. And also remove the
color from the whites. Hold the Alt key and click
here to split the slider and move the slider
towards the right. This later towards the left. So now you can see we
have a better result, but we need to reduce
the opacity or great. Now we have the financed
result of image. But you can also tweak
more because here you can see that we have some
issues in the ears, right? So we can work on this. So most of the time you
spent on the image, you will get a better
insert, right? So in the next video we
will try to work on here. So also, so see you
in the next video.
15. Finalizing: Hello guys, welcome back. In this video we
will try to remove the background spill from
the hairs before that. But we need to do is
we will go here on this layer and we will start
painting with the black. So I will swap the colors and
I will increase the brush. But this time you
need a softer brush. With the lower loop. We will do this like this. To press X because we have removed the color
from the background. We don't want that. So now here you can
see that we have a better result and we
have the financed result. I hope you liked it. Please do practice and share your results with me in
the comments section. And if you get any doubts
regarding this course, then feel free to contact me.
