1. Introduction : Hi, I'm actually and I'm gonna show you how to make perfectly soft and really delicious drop in chip cookies. Now, I have a lot of friends to come to me and say that they feel comfortable cooking, but that they feel baking is out of the reach, and I just don't agree. I think anyone can bake and show you how easy it is. I started taking because I registered for all this great just up. And I was getting married, wasn't looked at me and was like, you know, we're not gonna get all that I was like, No. And then I did. So I brought home all the really cool kitchen equipment that I didn't use. So I started trying to put things in the first recipe I ever made with chocolate chip cookies. And they were terrible. They were super greasy and flatten. I don't know what I did, but I decided instead of letting it bummed me out, I would just try again. And when I did and it came out right, it was really exciting and gave me the confidence to try base something else. And then when that came out right, I make something else through all this and finding something that I really enjoyed that I've never done before. And because of it, I have created my block domestically up. Just got a lot of really fun and exciting positive feedback over the past year. I found that baking to be really therapeutic life can do really busy kind of passes you by noticing it. And I know that a lot of times I could really use some me time. So baking has become that for me. I wake up in the morning, I can make myself a cup of coffee, and I just take a breath. I can clear my thoughts while I make something. It's become a really, really nice way to get away. Also, if you're the friend baking all the time like you're gonna be friend number one, everyone bringing things to the office or the gatherings because it will work in your favor big time. So don't be scared. Take a breath. We're gonna get through this together, grab a cup of coffee, and in the next video, I'm gonna show you all things you need to make these delicious
2. Ingredients: show you all of these really great. One of the things I love about this recipe is, in fact, that it lays the foundation for other baked goods. A lot of the ingredients you need to make this recipe like flour baking, so eggs, vanilla extract, sugar. These are all things that you'll need tons of other big good. So even though you're buying a £5 bag of flour, you're only using a cup and 1/2 of it you will continually using. Go through it in no time when you start making now, finishing everything you need to make this recipe. However, if it goes too fast, it's very so. The beauty of it is you go back positive Reckonings. Main tools you'll need are stand up mixer and aligned baking sheet. They'll need half a cup of unsalted butter, softened to room temperature, 1/4 a cup of white sugar and 3/4 cup of brown sugar. When you have more brown sugar than white sugar in a recipe, it makes it more soft. You also need two teaspoons of vanilla extract, one egg and one egg yolk. The egg yolk is the other thing that make these cookies really soft. When you add an egg yolk to a recipe, you add moisture. For your dry ingredients, you'll need 1.5 cups of flour, 1/2 a teaspoon of baking soda and 1/4 teaspoon assault and, of course, one cup of many chocolate chips. No one tips I could give you. Always make sure all of your ingredients laid out before you make anything a lot of Joe's about is suffer from being over, mixing that everything is ready to go and remember, it's faster and more efficient.
3. Making the Cookie Dough: All right, guys. Aprons on. Let's make this good, you know, and remember. Like I said earlier, it is a video. For some reason, I'm going too fast. Laws it, rewind. Figure it out. It's gonna be OK. First, take your salt and baking soda and whisk into your flower in a medium bowl to make sure it's evenly distributed. Then set that goal aside. All these ingredients are obviously very important to making so great, and the way that they're added to the dough is also really important. So I have to be honest. If you do something the wrong way, I would recommend to starting over just because the consistency won't be right if you try and do it backwards. One time I make a pitcher cookies and forgot the salt in it. And when the dough was made of Syrian it and looking at myself on the side, excited, put it in and then try and folded in my hand and became a disaster, I thought it would be fine about the commute to work and removes being really nice and saying they tasted great. One honest coworker was like he's really salty, and then it became a domino effect of everyone being very honest and tell me how bad your eye bringing other big, good, still make up words are kind of forgot about it. But it didn't work, even though I skipped the part of work with Sultan. Put in a different part just in Turn out great. So follow a recipe exactly. If, for some reason you mess up the learning process, go back. Next, add your white sugar, brown sugar and softened butter to the bowl of a stand up mixer on medium speed. You'll cream these three ingredients together until they're really light and fluffy. Now this process contain anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes, so be patient. Creaming brings all this air to the ingredients and makes the cookies even more delicious. You can use salted butter to make these cookies, However, if you do, make sure to omit the salt. In this recipe, I recommend using unsalted butter when you bake because then you control the salt content next at in your egg, your egg yolk and your vanilla one at a time. Make sure that each ingredient is fully incorporated before adding in the next. Afterwards, scrape down your bowl. Next, pour in your dry ingredients and on low speed, mix them into the batter. You're gonna want to make sure to put this on low speed because anything faster than that and you're gonna have flour everywhere. Can you described on your bowl throughout this? Feel free to do so, but otherwise just let it go until it's finally combined. And, of course, at the end, pour in your chocolate chips and wait until they're evenly distributed throughout the dough and then turn off your mixer and finally take plastic wrap and tightly wrapped the top of your bowl. All right, so after you wrap this in plastic, wrap it in the fridge overnight. This allows all the flavors to really marrying really prominent the next day when you actually make your cookies. If you're super hard up, you could definitely chill it for only two hours. But to get the best flavor you're gonna let put him in the fridge overnight, next time you were actually make you right
4. Make the Cookies!: now, Children. Overnight, you're gonna pull it out of the fridge and let it sound for a minute or two. This allowed to become a lot more pliable as you let it sit out pretty your 375 degrees earlier. Go to an inch and 1/2 to about two inch balls and place on your lined baking shoot. Now you're more than welcome. Use a cookie scoop to do this, but I just eyeball it and use my hands for less cleanup. Then place your cookies in the oven at 3 75 for about 10 to 12 minutes. Making sure that your oven is accurately heated is really important, and that's where an oven thermometer comes in. Those could be really helpful to make sure that your oven is the right temperature. There will be enough dough to make about a dozen and 1/2 cookies once they're baked. 10.5 minutes was about perfect for me to take them out and let them cool. They might look slightly under baked, but that lets them stay really, really soft as they set. So trust it, then you could enjoy him with the last milk. Or you can also keep them in an airtight container for about four days at room temperature . But good luck having a blast. You didn't. Do you feel amazing? You made chocolate chip cookies in their soft and perfect and so so good. How proud of yourself are you? Right now? I feel amazing. Now, in the final video, I'm gonna give you some closing thoughts as well. Some ideas on how to mix it up. A little frisky with the recipe.
