1. Introduction: Welcome to the course. My name is David and I'm going to show you how to set up a merchant account with crypto.com and how to integrate that merchant account with your WooCommerce website. So by the end of this course, your visitors will be able to pay for products and services in a cryptocurrency of their choosing. So say if someone visits your website and they want to buy a book from your online store for $10, they can now pay for that $10 book in an equivalent amount of cryptocurrency of their choosing. What I like about the crypto.com wall is that it supports a wide variety of cryptocurrencies, which just gives your end visitor a large variety of payment options. So if you've been looking to get started accepting cryptocurrency payments with your WooCommerce website. This course is for you. Click that next video and I'll see you on the inside.
2. Enable crypto payments in WooCommerce: Accepting cryptocurrency payments with your WooCommerce website. So in this tutorial video, we're going to be using a crypto.com as they say they are the best place to buy, sell, and pay with cryptocurrency. So one thing I really like about this website is that they do have a payment gateway that integrates really well with WooCommerce. And so let's get to it. So if we navigate back to our WooCommerce website, Let's come down here and let's jump into our settings. And then let's navigate over here to the Payments tab. And now if you, once you jump into the Payments tab, we're going to look at this and you're gonna notice that there's no option for cryptocurrency. That's because you have to install a plugin in order to add that functionality in. So let's go ahead and do that. Let's come down here to Plugins. Let's click on Add New. And then what I want you to do is navigate to search plugins and then type in crypto.com. Alright, so now it should be encrypted.com paycheck out for WooCommerce. Go ahead and click on Install. And then go ahead and click on Activate. Okay, so let's navigate back to WooCommerce. Let's go back to our settings. Now. I want you to jump over to the Payments tab and then I want you to make sure that you have it toggled on. So if we come down here, you should now have crypto.com pay, make sure that this is turned on and then you can accept bitcoin and more cryptocurrencies. Then as you click on the Manage button all the way on the right, and this is where we're going to have to set up some data on the backend. So we're going to be setting up a test model first for cryptocurrency payments. Okay? And so once you understand how the test version works, so you can test Oh, payments, make sure everything's working. Then it's the same exact process when you're ready to go live and actually accept payments in cryptocurrency from your visitors.
3. Get a crypto merchant account: The next step is to go ahead and open a merchant account with crypto.com. So this page is crypto.com slash pay merchant. If you want to navigate to, I should just go into Google and just type in crypto pay merchant and should land on this page right here. Now it's very self-explanatory. Tap into the global cryptocurrency economy and start accepting Bitcoin, other popular cryptocurrencies. Just click on this button right there that says go to the merchants platform and you're going to have to create an account totally for free. But it's very similar to Stripe actually in that you're gonna have to go through some rigamarole to get everything set up. You're going to have to give a lot of personal information regarding your business, set up a profile, set up payment details. This is not some fly-by-night operation. You really do have to have a proper business, have everything properly set up on the back-end. So once you go through this process to set up your account properly, then you can go ahead and activate your account. So let's navigate and give you a quick overview about what to expect within this website once you're in the merchant account, the dashboard. So right over here, the activation is this is what you have to go through to complete everything. So for example, painted details provided checkmark and so profile business info. I was still need to go ahead and complete this specific information order to turn this test data officer. It's like a walk and I can't change it. You can't go live until you set up everything properly. Now if we go over here to overview, pretty obvious overview is overview, gross volume, refund customers, successful payments. And then right down here is one week, one month. How much sales you've made. Again, this is all test data down here. And if we come over here, you have a nice track record of your specific payments. You can go ahead and export this. You have unresolved the refund history up top there. Let's go over here to balances. Now over here we have we have all our balances, okay? We have transaction history as well and payment history. And so right here we have different amounts that people have paid. Again, just test data over here. And so then you can just go here to request a payout. And you can also convert currencies. So for example, I have a USD balance, I want to convert to Euros. I can, I want to convert to Bitcoin. I can do that as well. Let me click on Cancel and then pay out settings. And so this navigates you to your specific payout settings. And then you can come here and add an accounts in it. So if you have some type Blake bitcoin account, Bitcoin wallet or hot wallet with some type of d Phi platform like block phi, then you can just transfer your Bitcoin over there, whatever. And so you can come here to add an account, euros, then Bitcoin, you SDC, you have a bunch of different stable coins that you can transfer payment 2. And so it's really helpful, really convenient, and that's it. Okay, so that's a broad overview. Now let's go ahead and get everything set up. Let's begin by enabling payment on our website with crypto.com.
4. Connect WooCommerce to your merchant account: Connecting your WooCommerce website to your crypto.com, a merchant account. So we're going to need a publishable key, secret key in web hook signature key to get everything working properly. So let's navigate back to our crypto.com, a merchant's account, the publishable key just click on a developers in it's right here. So again, this is all test data, so don't worry, so you can trial everything. Now, let's go here, click on copy and copy to dashboard. Let's navigate here, and let's copy and paste this in. And there we go. So now we have our test publishable key right there, the secret key. Let's go ahead and reveal that and do the same thing. So we'll copy that and then go over here and paste. Ok. So now let's come back here. So the last thing that we need is a web hook, signature key. Okay, so we come over here to web hooks. Now we can go ahead and click on Add a web hook. Now if you click on Add a web hook because you're not gonna have any of these items right here, because I've already done this. But it's gonna say payload URL and you're like, what is that? Where do I get that? So actually you have to scroll down right here. Okay. Your Webhook URL is right down here. Yeah, I know It should be up here, so it's kind of a more parent, but I don't know whatever they designed it. So it's down here. So anyways just wanted to take this right here, this specific URL. Go ahead and copy, then navigate here, put that in right there, paste. There you go. Content type application, that's literally the only drop-down. So nothing to worry about what that then go ahead and click on Save. Now it says duplicate URL because I already have done this. So let me go ahead and click on Cancel. And I'm going to go ahead and select on my actual web hook key, which is right here, this one. So take this right-click Copy. All right, so let's come up stop there, and I'll put in the test web hook signature key right there. Then all you do is click on Save. That's it. All right, fantastic. So the environment isn't test. This will leave it in test because our account is still, still set to test that data, and that's it. So let's go ahead and open up our websites in then let's navigate to any type of product. Okay. So let me come over here. Actually, let's view the carts because they already have something in my carts. We come down here, we'll proceed to checkout. In. There we go. So now we have crypto.com pay, literally all set up. So an end-user, all they have to do, just like with PayPal or a credit card. You just have to click on Crypto, then they have a place in order. Now the way that this works is that the crypto.com app is going to pop up, okay? And so users have to have a crypto.com app, okay? Or they have to have the wallet. So they have a wall on their phone, a little bit of crypto currency, then they can pay for your product with there, with the crypto.com wallet and use a wide variety of cryptocurrencies to pay for whatever product you want. So for example, like this is 88 US dollar, okay? So if I click on crypto.com, I go here to place order. How it's lit this load again. There we go. And so say I have like 88 US dollars worth of cryptocurrency my wall, I don't want to pay with Dogecoin or light coin or something like that. I can use this app for that. So let's go ahead and click on that. Then we have a cure C code, and then that's it. So scanned with crypto.com app, open crypto got.com app and hit Pay button. Then that's it as literally and then everything will convert as appropriate. So let me go ahead and complete tests payments. Let me go ahead and just click Approve. Write your test payment is now approved. Okay? And then once someone pays, that's it. There'll be receiving this message where it says payment successful. There'll be redirected to the checkout page. And that's it. And so this looks fantastic. All right. And also when someone pays, they will also receive a message saying that your order okay, we'll click on that. There we go. That your WordPress order has been received. And so that's it. And so then they get a confirmation that they've paid successfully. Now if we come over here to the WordPress plugin page for crypto.com, right down here it says, once the transaction is approved by crypto.com, the customer will receive a confirmation screen of crypto.com and the equivalent amounts will be deposited into the merchant's accounts. And so that's really key to know because if you're listening prices like in US dollars, everything's going to be converted when people use this app, when they use the wallet to submit payment for a specific product. All right, so anyways, let's jump over here. Let's go to our overview, and then there we go. So everything's working as appropriate. Okay. And so we just have now we have one customer, one successful payment, $88 against all testdata. And that's it guys. That's how it works. That's the simple, is that it's not that complicated. And so to activate your counts, just navigate over here, vote your business information filter profile, then you can toggle the test data often, okay? Because you have to complete your business information to activate the accounts, can start accepting payment for real. Then just follow the same exact process. You can get rid of all this test data right here. And then you can actually have a live publishable key, live secret key, live web hook signature. Then you're going to want to come here to the environments and then you want to click on production, and that's it. Now one little thing to note too is that right down here, the checkout experience, you have two options and so are actually right here. So we have two options. So order status when payment captured, so processing completed, you can switch that right there. Checkout experience, you can have a redirection or a pop-up. Personally, the redirection works better than the popup. So I'll show you, I'll show you what the pop-up looks like. So if we click on save changes, and now the pop-up is set for the checkout experience, you would think the palpably better, but I personally don't like the user experience behind it, but let's just jump back here. Let me just go ahead and add in a product right there. I'll click on this Add to cart. Alright, we go here. We go to checkout aisle, right? Let me go to crypto.com. Pay. There we go. And we go ahead and place an order. Now, once I place an order, see how it didn't pop up again. What it does, it takes you to the checkout page. Now the end user has to again click on the crypto.com button in SEO doesn't even have any type of animation to indicate that this can be clicked on. But you're supposed to click on this and then the pop-up appears like this. Now I personally like the way that this looks. I like that this pop-up looks a lot better than the redirection, but I don't like that. I have to have the user navigates a checkup age, then they have to click this random been over there. That's not intuitive at all. So just in case you're wondering like how this works on the backend. I personally would just kinda keep it as redirection and that is it.
5. Currencies that are supported: In the last, I just want to bring up what crypto currencies are spoiled by the crypto.com at d Phi wallet. Well, to be honest quite a few, you're giving your visitors a lots of different options to submit payment for goods and services on your WooCommerce website by installing the crypto.com payment gateway. Now the only downside is that yeah, you're going to need the crypto.com at d Phi watts. But I don't think that's unreasonable because the wall is completely for free and it's fairly simple to transfer cryptocurrency between one wallet to another or from an exchange to the wallet. So if someone really wants to pay for goods and services with cryptocurrency on your website. This is not that big of a barrier and you're just giving your end visitors just a lots of different options. Not just Bitcoin, litecoin, a theorem, and that's it. You're actually given them a lot of different options anyways, that is it for this tutorial.
6. Other tools to accept crypto payments: Number 1 is coin payments.net. So coin payments is a payment processor for cryptocurrency that's used by over 60 thousand merchants globally. They do come with a 0.5% processing fee, which is not a deal breaker, but that's just something to be aware of. And they also have their own dedicated wallet they can take advantage of if you want to go that route. Now what I really like about coin payments is that they just support a massive amount of coins, not just Bitcoin. So you can pay with Bitcoin if you wanted, you can pay with the weight Coin, Bitcoin cash. You can pay with either. You can compete with Dogecoin if you really want to go that route. And they also come with a bunch of helpful merchant tools. So you can integrate coin payments, for example, with a Woo Commerce, et cetera, and create buttons and so forth. So anyways, that's number one, coin payments. Number two is Colgate.com. So cool AND gate is a place where you can buy it. So manage and except crypto currencies. And so it's your gateway for all things cryptocurrency. So here on this website you can buy, trade, accept payments, etc, all in cryptocurrency. And so they store everything in cold storage. But again, this is only if you're trading cryptocurrency on this platform. We're talking about accepting payments. And I think clinda is really interesting because one thing I really like is that you can send crypto bills. So like if you do some type of service, you will get paid in cryptocurrency. You can just send a bill and get paid in cryptocurrency. I think that's really interesting. And they also support a lot of different currencies. So now again, notches book when, so this sport like coin, ether, dash n, Of course, the theme is Dogecoin and the last, the accept bitcoins in altcoins and various platforms. So like Woo Commerce, Magento, press to shop, etc. So anyways, that's number 2. Coin gate number three is coinbase commerce. So Coinbase commerce is a WordPress plugin that integrates with WooCommerce to allow users who have a Coinbase account to login to their Coinbase account and then pay for products and services with Bitcoin, bitcoin cash, theory of light coin, et cetera, various other coins. And I liked this plug-in for it's just ease of use is just simple, but that's about it. Otherwise, I'm not a big fan of this plugin because it kind of assumes that anyone who visits your site has to have a Coin Base accounts. And also anyone who's very serious about cryptocurrency doesn't keep a large amount of money on the exchange. They take it off the exchange and put it in their wallet. So it's not really that functional because someone has to have a Coinbase accounts and they also have to have a lot of money on their Coinbase account, then exchange it for cryptocurrency and then send that cryptocurrency to you if that makes any sense. So it's not really an optimal solution. But if you're looking for something really simple and easy to use, then I do recommend checking out coinbase commerce. So that's number 3. Coinbase commerce, number four is a block economics. So what economics is a decentralized platform that enables merchants to accept cryptocurrency as payment for their online store. And there is integration with WooCommerce. So right over here within the WordPress plugin library, you can find WordPress buckling payments block, and omics. And so what economics is really intuitive and easy to use integrates with Squarespace with Shopify, you can create payment bonds. They also have an API that you can take advantage of. Now one slight thing to be aware of is that they do charge a 1% transaction fee, which is a little bit high, my opinion. Your first 10 transactions are free and anything gets sent automatically to your wallet of choice. Or you can just convert your Bitcoin and exchange everything to fiat currency via uphold watts. So anyways, that's number four block and omics. Number five is a BTC pay. So BTC pay is just for Bitcoin only. Btc is actually the ticker symbol for Bitcoin. And so you can start accepting Bitcoin payments with a 0% fees in it, no third party. But you can only accept bitcoin. So you can't accept Bitcoin cash or lay coin or dash or anything else. It's only Bitcoin. So if you've been wanting to grow your Bitcoin holdings to huddle everything for the next five years and become a Bitcoin millionaire in the next decade, then maybe check out BTC pay. Because this is a great way where you can accept payment for products and services. No, it's self-hosted, open source cryptocurrency payment processor. It's secure, private, censorship resistant, and free. And so I think this is a great plug-in. My only issues that it just only supports the coin. Okay. You can't doesn't support other types of coins, but if that's not a deal breaker, if you're happy with, I just want except Bitcoin and that's it. Btc pay is for you, has a lot of integrations with various plugins like Magento, Commerce, WordPress, Jew, paul, GitHub, tour, et cetera. So anyways, that's number 5, it BTC pay. Number six, is it go URL? So go euro is just another cryptocurrency payment gateway, but they do have a few different features that I think are noteworthy. First off there, 100% free and open source. There's no monthly fee, There's no transaction fees, and they accept bitcoin in various alt coins. And if you don't even have your own website to add a payment gateway, you can use, they're monetized or service, or there's demagnetize or service right over here. We can, so music, photos, et cetera, and get paid in crypto currency. And of course they have their own dedicated plugin over here for WooCommerce. So they go euro, WooCommerce, Bitcoin, altcoin payment gateway. So anyways, that's number 6, go URL. Number 7 is a triple dash, a dot I, O. So I only emphasize the URL because we type in triple a. It's going to come up with this turn-based strategy game. We want to come here to this website. This is just another payment processor we can except crypto payments and grow your own business. Now what I like about triple a is that they have a pretty easy onboarding process where you can sign up and requested a demo and have everything. Have them hold your hand for you to get you set up and running. Which I think is something that's really nice selling points. And it's very simple. So you set up triple a except currency, cryptocurrency or a local currencies. So settle in crypto or local currency to avoid volatility and their conversion rate is 0.8%. So not too high, not too low, kind of in the middle. And then you just receive the payments so you can receive the money into your bank account or whatever crypto wallet you are deciding to use, okay? And then they have specific platforms for e-commerce. So they have a specific integration for e-commerce. And so right down there they support open cart, WooCommerce, and they also support Shopify as well. And so we click over here to WooCommerce. Then it takes us to the Bitcoin payment gateway for WooCommerce by triple a plugin that you can download and install on your WordPress powered website. So anyways, that's number 7, triple a. Number 8 is a pacs fool.com. So this is not just a payment processor, this is sort of like a jack of all trades were there My kind of a payment processor, the little bit of an exchange they want you to buy and trade. You can become a vendor. And so specific services even offered the ability to come down here and goods and services to kinda jump in there. We can buy Bitcoin with goods and services and you can just trade anything that you have from cars, cold groceries of blinds is whatever you want. It doesn't appear to be that active, but this is kind of a unique offering, a, a unique service that if you want to like so random items in your house, I kinda like an eBay type setup. Packs will offer that a little bit right here. We just have things for, available for sale and then sell them and they get paid in a Bitcoin if you want. So anyways, that's number 8, Paxil.com.
7. Conclusion: All right, that's it for this course and how to create a merchant account with crypto.com and then how to integrate that merchant account with your Woo Commerce website so you can accept cryptocurrency payments with your online store. Anyways, I just wanted to take a quick second and say, thank you very much for enrolling and have a great day. Bye bye.
