1. Introduction: Hi guys, Welcome to this class. My name is dp, which
I'm an artist and instructor and founder of
all time artists from India. I create and sell unique
handmade coasters. This class is for all levels. You don't need any
prior knowledge of poster making to join it. In this course, we
will learn the art of creating handmade coasters. I will guide you step-by-step
through the whole process, including tips for selecting
tools and materials, how to prepare to start, safety precautions to take when working with tools
and materials. Techniques for post-construction
finishing techniques, and last but not the least, cleaning and maintaining of handmade coaster for longevity. We will also understand the functionalities of handmade
coasters in this course, I'm super excited to share

2. Class Project: For the class project, I would like you to create
your own set of coasters. You can create a set of
four or a set of six. I will provide
step-by-step instructions for making coasters. You can create them as it is. And if you want,
you can customize your coaster's size
and colour scheme. A downloadable PDF is
available for the list of materials under the
Projects and Resources tab, you can choose the
desired color of codes. I would love to see your
work in the project section. Please share your progress
and finished Coasters in the project section by clicking Create Project under the

what you have created
3. Tools & Materials: Tools and materials required for this class are as follows. We need six circles of MDF
wood having a thickness of 2.5mm and choose it size between 4.5 to 5 " according
to your wish, I'm using the Circle of 4.8
" for creating a Coaster. Use a transparent scale to measure the center
of MDF Circle. Use a Water Erasable Pen to mark the center of the MDF Circle and praise the MDF
Circle on the Felt. It can be raised by
the spray of water. Mark the center. You can
use any pen or pencil also. We need a 6.75 m
long Cord of 3M. I'm using cords of
these two colors. If you want, you can
customize the color of codes. We need three strands of faults
to one to 5 m each long. I'm using only two colors, so I'm going to
take two strands of pink and one strain of yellow. You can use three
different color strands, or you can choose three
strands of one single color if you're not sure
how many colors of four to add in the Coaster, I'll show you how your poster looks in all
of these three scenarios. We need a measuring tape
to measure the quotes. They need us 12 Golden metallic

Mat and it's very stable. We need Felt for the
Backing of the Coaster to avoid any slippage
and provide a good grip. It's thickness is 1.4mm. Will use Fabric Glue to secure the edge while
completing our Coaster. Use Fevicol, MR. to paste it on the reverse
side of the Coaster. We need a big shop scissor
to cut the courts. We need Small scissor for
trimmings of Thread and Felt. We need a Cloth hanging
clip to secure the braid. If you find any
difficulty in getting all these materials
where we want to buy these products from Amazon. I have provided links for your reference for
these materials. For the list of materials you
can refer to and download the PDF provided in the resources under the
Projects and Resources tab
4. Uses of Handmade Coasters: Handmade coasters are
versatile addition to your home decor and can
be used in various ways. Harrison common ways to
use Handmade Coasters, tea or coffee marks
on them to protect your table tops from
heat or water damage. Use them under
glasses of water or other beverage to
prevent voter ranks. Use them under
bolts of snacks to protect yourself faces
from scratches or spills. Use them to hold the other candles to protect
surfaces from hot wax. Use them as a base for
your favorite plan for to protect surfaces from
moisture and scratches. Epl pickle container,
catch a ball or tattle on them to protect
surfaces from scratches, to hold your fruits dry
fruit source points. Mobile phone, airports
or wireless charger on them to prevent them from
slipping of smooth surface. These are just a few examples of how you can use

5. Cutting Felt for Backing: As you can see this page on the reverse side

6. Pasting Felt: We'll paste this cutting
Felt at the back of the MDF board for the

side as a backside. Apply Fevicol MR. on the
backside of the MDF Circle and spread it properly. You can spread it
with your finger or you can use any flat
brush for the same. I'll do it with my finger. And then I'm going
to clean Fevicol from my finger properly
with the tissue paper. Then paste the
credit Felt on it. And recipe properly. I'm going to wash my hands
to remove any residual five equal so it does not get
transferred to my Coaster. After pasting it to him all the edges with
