1. Introduction: Hi guys, Welcome to this class. My name is I'm an embroidery artist living in India. This class is for all levels. You don't need any prior knowledge of embroidery to join it. In this class, I'll be teaching how to decorate etchings of a fabric with hand embroidery stitches. I'll be covering seven embroidery stitches and guide you step-by-step on how to decorate agents of a handkerchief. In the same way you can apply these stitches on the edges of dining table, napkins, handle, blanket, see software, dress, finished piece of embroidery or anything that you can imagine. These are very easy stitches. This is our last. I have been embroidering since childhood. It fascinates me six then, when my grandmother was embroidering bedsheets, she taught me this skill and on hair to share the same with you all. Enjoy the process of embroidery. And if you have any questions, please put your question in the discussion tab. Let's begin. 2. Class Project: Your project is to decorate the ages of three handkerchiefs or three dining table napkins. For the completion of the project, you can choose any three stitches from the seven stitches use in this class. You can choose the colors of your choice. I would love to see your work in the project section. Please share your project and other projects and resources tab. If you want to share, please share your progress pixels by filling the project eight pigs at the different stages and share all of them. 3. Tools & Materials: Materials required for this class are a hang budgets or a dining table napkin. You can choose accord and handkerchief for dining table napkin. For this class, I use a pure cotton handkerchief after wash if we choose to embroider any cotton fabric. So I would suggest washing it before you start because in cotton fabrics there is some shrinkage and if you will wash it only after embroidery is done, then your stitches will destroy one extra fabric for the base. We need this fabric Too late under the handkerchief we are decorating. You can use any bed sheet also, but prefer to use a cotton one. I'm going to use this cotton do but they need some ball head pins. For erasable fabric pen. It is useful when we need to make markings on fabric. And when we're done, these markings can be removed by spraying water on them. Scale, we need a transparent scale. Stranded cotton embroidery thread. It is the most commonly used embroidery thread. And Thompson, six strands. These are six trends. You can find these threads of multiple brands, like I'm using, threads of anchor brand. Strengths can be separated and we can choose to use less than six also suggest we can use three strands, two strands, etc. I needed for embroidery, we need a needle with sharp enlarge AI to put the thread easily. I'm using a needle. Cruel size number seven for up to three strands of thread. And another Gardner size number six for up to six strands of thread. If you're using any other embroidery needle who are comfortable with. So keep using it. On needle thread. This is optional. The last thing is a scissor or a thread cutter. To cut threads. You will get all these items on Amazon or at any craft store in your local market. 4. Preparing to Stitch: There are three ways in which you can apply these edging stages. The first one is if you are taking a piece where the edges are already finished and there is a strong base, carry the embroidery. Then you can start as it is. This is a dining table napkin. The second one is if you're taking a piece where the edges are already finished, but there is no strong base to carry the embroidery. Then first you need to create that base by folding the edges. And I've named them. This way. I have iron all the edges. You can start embroidery on the edges. It is a, B all gotten handkerchief that I'm going to embroider. The third one is if you are taking a piece where the edges are not finished, then first you need to finish the edges by folding it twice and running them. So I have foiled it once. Then I run it, then make another four. And I didn't it. This way. We have finished it. And along with this, we have created a base for our embroidery. You can start embroidery on the edges. Before I start, I always prefer to iron the fabric. But if obese is big enough, then you can start after adding the edges only. It is a be all caught and handled. So I have watched it and I read it. As I told you that we need extra fabric for the base for this fabric or bad **** into four fourths and lay it on a table or on a flat surface. Remove all the wrinkles. Then lay your handkerchiefs over it and use some poll head pins. Who attach it. So the handkerchief does not move while you embroider it. Now it is not moving. We need to attach it from one side only because at a time we will embroider one edge only. For stitching. We need to cut the thread and thread the needle, the lens should be measured by taking it up to your shoulder. Then guard that right. I'm gonna use cruel needle size numbers. Seven for up to three strands. And Lidl size number six for more than three strands and up to six strands. Throughout the course. You can use a needle you are comfortable, but I have used different strands of thread for different stitches. If you want a boulder loop in your stitches, then you may use more strands. If you want a detailed look in your embroidery, then use lesser strength than I have used. I show you how to separate strands of embroidery thread. After putting the thread up at the top of threads. Ben, separate required number of threads. Like I need three strands. I have separated. Then slide your finger downwards. Along with holding the thread. This where we have separated the strands. Now we can use these trends for embroidery. There are many ways to try to needle. First thing we need to do is start the edge of the thread. Thread the needle easily. The thing I do is leaked the edge off the thread and put it in the whole of the needle. This is done. This is the easiest and fastest way. In fact, I'm using this method. I know that alternative is dark. We can actually apply something on this edge. You can take any moisturizing cream for this purpose, a little bit of green and just apply the edge off the thread. Now we can easily put it in there. Oh love the leader. I want to share one more way to thread a needle. This time I'm using a needle trader. If you're facing difficulty in threading a needle with above two methods. Needle trader. We need to push the string of needle trader, the whole of the needle. This way. Now hold your thread in the string. Now take it back. And it's done. At one edge. We need to tie a knot it one edge in this way. One round and roll it with your thumb. Then you need to pull it downward. And it will catch or not. I'll show you once again. 81 round. You need to roll it with your thumb. Then you need to pull it downwards and it will catch a naught. Then the tail. All the preparations have been done to start this project. Let's begin. 5. Blanket Stitch: In this tutorial, I'm going to teach you blankets. This is the basic edging stitch and the base for many other stitches. First, draw a line with water erasable fabric, then the length of all the stitches remains the same way. You need to draw a line. This is the lower x and this is the upper end. Use three strands off track. Oh, no worries. In this way. And down it up an inch. I didn't get a bit lower edge over the working thread. Again, take new data down, bring it up and lower it. Or were the walking wounded stitches really tightly ends up in the middle of the edge or not. In this fake. Bring the fresh tread all the lower edge. Inside the loop of the previous steps. Feed me die down. I talk about it over the world. Now think all the stitches in this same vein. Then Riga reach to garner been needle down just next to the stitch at the lower edge. Then bring up the lower edge open next. Good evening, go down and bring it up into the working. This way we have completed the edges of a hand culture. After completion, we need to remove the mark lights, spray bottle containing water, and spray water on all the lights. Let it dry. You can see after getting dry, all the lines are wiped out. You can wash your piece, just dip it in water for five minutes and keep it dry. Let's move on to the next stage. 6. Crossed Sloping Blanket Stitch: I'm going to teach you frost sloping gland as I have done all the markings, I'm using three strands. Start this stitch, bring needle, the needle down it up. Bring it up at lower edge over the working thread. Big neutered down. Bring it up and lower edge over the walking. This way. We have been one stitch, second stitch, down it up, bring it up and lower edge over the working thread. Needle down and bring it up and lower it over the walking track. In this stitch, we are taking all the stitches diagonally. The same way I'm taking food trays to choose more. Do not pull this to just very tightly. Menu frayed, ends up in the middle of the edge. Then I R naught at the backside. And then bring the fresh trade-off at the lower edge inside the loop of the previous stitch. And start taking stitches in the same way. When we have reached the corner. Then if needle down at the lower edge next to the stitch. And then bring middle of the next embroider the next edge. On dawning behind Goodreads. Then start taking stitches in the same way. Started on doing the same in the end. This where we have completed all the edges of a handkerchief. After completion, we need to remove mouth lines in the same way as before. It goes. Spray water containing water and spray water on all the lines. Then let it dry. That's all. Let's move on to the next stitch. 7. Partial Pinwheel Blanket Stitch: I'm gonna teach you partial pinwheel blanket stitch. I used three strands of thread. I've done all the markings with water erasable fabric pen, needle up at eight newtons down it up. Bring it up but lower edge or where the working press down. Bring it up at lower edge over the world. This way we have done one stitch, the second stitch, eighth, neater down into body. Bring it up and lower it over the walking down. Bring it up at lower edge. Then to take the chord stitch. If needle down it up, bring it. Working. In this way. We have done three partial pin when blanket stitch on, doing the same till the end. When your thread ends up in the middle of the edge. Then psi naught and the bedside. And then bring the face trade-off. Know what edge inside the loop of the previous stitch. Then another stitch. Same way. You will not want us to choose very tightly. We have reached the corner the evening or down. Just next to this embroider, the next edge we have. So under hand Goodreads. Then start aching stages in the same room. Doing the same til the end. This way we have completed all the edges of this Hong budgets. After completion, we need to remove mark lines as done before. Let's move on to the next stage. 8. Double Blanket Stitch: I'm going to teach you double blanket stitch. I'm using three strands of thread. I have done all the markings with water erasable fabric pen. As the name suggests, we need to make double-blind. First, we need to make a rough plan. It stitches in the same way as we learned before. I'm taking two or three stitches. We need to take needle down. Bring it up at low wattage over the Fontan. You're doing this same til the end. After completing all the edges with blankets stitch, we need to do blanket stitch once again, butt to the inner side. For this, we need to make markings again. In this way. Mark line on all the edges. Bring needle on this line down at this point. And bring it up again on this line over the working. Again, they've needle down. This point. Putting Nutella on the line or the working thread. I'm taking a few more stages. Do not pull the stitches very tightly. Bonding are doing the same bill, the end, maybe aren't thread and soak in the middle of a big needle down just next to the final mach nine. Die or not. The back side. For this also, I'm using three strengths and then bring the face trade-off, the Mach line inside the loop of the previous stitch. Then start taking stitches in the same way you doing this builder. And then we have reached the corner, then start taking stitches on the next day. If you're buying fakes to comfortably in this way. So continue doing the same. But I wouldn't recommend. After digging one or two stitches. On your hand, Goodreads. Then completed. This way we have completed all the edges off the sound contrasts. For completion, we need to remove mark lines, as in before. Let's move on to the next edge. 9. Closed Blanket Stitch: I'm going to teach you blankets stitch. I'm using three strands of thread and then all the markings with water erasable pen, needle up or down at about image. Bring it up, lower it. Or will the working eight new data down it, up? Bring it up at lower edge where the working Craig. Seconds. Eighth needle down. It didn't get up at lower edge over the walking. Making triangular stitches. That's why the point of upper edge is same for one stitch and appointed lower edge is changing. I'm taking a few more stages. Do not pull this to just very tightly. When we have reached the corner. Been paid needle down at the lower edge, just next to the last node and start taking stitches on them. Men stock taking stitches in the same vein. Then your thread ends up going off the edge. Then eat me died down. Lower it just next to the last node. And tie a knot at the back side. And then bring the face trade-off. Inside the loop of previous stitch. We'll take all the stitches in the same way. On doing the same til the end. This way we have completed all the edges of this angle just after completion, we need to remove the mark lines as before. Let's move on to the next step. 10. Laced Blanket Stitch: I'm gonna teach you lays blanket stitch. I'm using three strands software. I have marked three parallel lines with water erasable pen. First we'll do blankets, stitch on the outer edge. Bring needle up at the lower edge. If needle down it up, bring it up over the working tree. I'm thinking trees to choose more so that you get an idea. Mindfulness teaches very tightly. Raised the bar. Then Dave, need write it down just next to the last stitch and bring it up the lower edge of the next edge. I know on the angle to. Then start taking stitches in the same granular thread ends up in the middle of the image. Then I an audit The big side. The thread. Then complete rest of the edges in the same way. Once you have completed all the edges, then we'll startling blanket stitch in the inner edge, bring it along the card. Mod 98 needle down at the second line, third line over the working tree. Then your thread ends up in the middle of the edge, then eight newton down just next to the final die, un-ordered the backside. Then like the tray, bendy have reached the corner. Then IV needle down just next to the last. And bring the dialogue. That's hard line. The next day. Thank Dawn, the handkerchief didn't start aching stages. In the same way. At the same level with the first line of blankets, stitches. This way, on the New Deal, going. After completing two rows of blanket stitch, bring a contrasting thread in six strands of this point. Then slide the needle on this. Then this. Playing the same trick, completing this row. Dave, needle down. Hello. This stitch. The next day. Lot pull this thread very tightly. Little bit. Walk on the next edge. I have done behind budget. Sliding didn't seem vague. Or engineer doing the same to learn. When you're trading soap in the middle of the edge. Then neutral down under this stitch. And dire note at the back side. Thanks, sorry if that's right. Then bring the fish turned off. And this point. Then after completing this row down. And this point, I love this stitch off the next edge. Then start sliding middle. In the same way. After completing this, it'll take me do it on this point. Then drink it a lot. This stitch off the next day. The angles here and complete this edge also. Neuter donate this point. The backside. Then for the thread, this where we have completed all the edges of this angle just after completion, we need to remove mark lines as done before. Let's move on to the next stage. 11. Long & Short Blanket Stitch: I'm already too long and short blanket stitch. I'm using three strands of thread. I have marked three lines with the water erasable pen, blanket stitch, but the length of the stitches will vary in green needle up and eat needle down. The first-line. Bring it up at lower edge over the working. Down at the second line. Bring it up. Working through a10, very down the line. Then get up at Nowhere edge over the working tree. Then down next second line, bring it up at lower edge over the whooping crane. The equator down at the first line. Bring it up and lower edge over the working. This way. We have completed this pattern once. I'm repeating this two more times so that you get an idea of the slope. Bonding. You're doing the same til the end, venue and frayed ends up in the middle of the edge, then down just next to the last stitch. And dy are not at the bedside. And guard gutter it. Then bring the face trade-off at the lower edge inside the loop of the previous stitch. And in your thinking stitches in the same way. A lot for us to just read it. Otherwise it will return the backend. When we have reached the corner. Then eight meter down, just next to the last ditch. Effort, the lower edge of the next one, the handbook. Then start taking stitches. The theme. Same thing, complete rest of the edges. This way we have completed all the edges of this angle. Just for completion, we need to remove command lines as before. 12. Thank You: Congratulations, you have successfully completed all seven stitches. Now you need to choose any three stitches out of seven and design your own handkerchief. So dining table. Now, this is a class project. Don't stress about it. Take it easy, take it slowly.
