1. Intro: - I am obviously and mostly enough drinks and bars and use our oils, sometimes Expedia way with using to make that.
2. Materials required: materials required for this class would be a 300 GSM watercolour paper. I'm using a one by far Briana. Few water colors that are cobalt turquoise, burnt sienna, light lamp, black yellow car and deep Scarlett. Two brushes, one tune outside that is size for and won on size eight. I'll be the tall a mixing plate, a clear glass of water and, of course, a pencil and a razor. You so let's get started.
3. sketch: Okay, so starting off, let's draw a sketch. The outlines off the hairstyles, I'm startup, starting with straight hair. Then we're here on Kolia. So I have few reference photos that I have got out of Pinterest. And, uh, let's start drawing. So I'm starting with the base base shape off the face and then I'll be drawing the hair around it. Four. For this, uh, tutorial door, I'll just be concentrating on the hair so we leave out the face area empty. You also to let you know Not if you carefully look at the hair style He had a textured and everything Straight hair is never, ever liken only really street. It's it always has a bit of movement and shape as well to it. So you consider it while sketching out the outlying for the painting. I also like suggesting few contrasted the doctor ideas with the pencil. So I remember while beating it. So he goes for the street hand. Now let's move on to the baby here. Maybe he has the shape that to make it more easy for you to understand, it's almost like the s shape. Mostly is the s shape like this So it's like Aviv, you know? So just trying smoothly with a light hand, you first going to draw the shape. - So there's just outlined were not bound to like, you know, just fill it with water color like a coloring book. It's not like that, because few off the hair strands will be creating directly with the watercolor. So now moving on to the curly. So with curly hair. Uh, what I'd like to do is what my technique is. That I've taught myself is that I create a shape like this, and then with the watercolor, I create the texture. But just to suggest few, it's like, you know, this small shapes like this light shades just to suggest curly hair, because earlier the depth in goalie here it's very, very different from baby hair style and the street Hester. So we just creating the shape that is created out off the curly hair and then later, um, fainted with the watercolor directly, just suggesting the shape that other his that has formed. And maybe just to remember later that a few dark areas in the, uh, hairstyle So it's like the spiral, uh, shape I usually in most for paintings have noticed that a lot of my being things portrait paintings at these curly hair. I I'm just maybe because I have this street here, So I like earlier a lot. So it's a never ending thing for girls, especially, you know, someone if someone has straight hair like curly hair. And if someone has curly hair like a straight hair Rabia. So it's a never ending obsession off girls and maybe even boys. So now we've created the main outline for our painting. So now let's small with the painting, but
4. Straight hair : So now, starting with painting the street hair, we first move on with the peace color. I'm taking a bit off your broker. You can obviously see in the screen the colors I'm using. So yeah, light wash. That would be It doesn't have to be dark and, um, has been using any wash, white wash or white Ben for this. So let's leave a few empty white papers base for those highlights. So with this painting, I'm using the same method that I use with my portraits that is light wash first, and then we one. We build layers and won the darker areas. So even with hair, when you look carefully, there are a lot of highlights, and you know those colors that are typically never, ever like one color. It's usually a mixture of different colors, so I like suggesting that as well in the base color foundation. And remember a bit off that lamb black for the doctor, the doctor most area so it could be easier to remember and just using a a dry brush. I'm just if you can see and just wiping the excess color in the paper towel and then wiping the colors that I don't want. It's moving it out the edges. I don't want hard edges in it at the moment. So building it up again when the first layer has tried to maybe 70% like, not completely dry. So you know that helps in avoiding harsh edges again. So I'm trying to form a layer by layer and trying to form this shadow areas as well. And I'm leaving this After the first letter, I'm leaving this area for the show that shiny but off the head, Let's make some shiny street That was a bitter too much of that already. Shall I want that? Let's just ruled it So moving on to the contrast areas, the darker areas, it's been the saw point, the doc most colors darkest, most colors on the ballot. I'm basically just mixing all the gunners so it comes to the darkest shade of great and night strokes like this, By the way, I've switched on through the tennis brush. And so I am, uh, just concentrating the, uh, dark colors where I can see in the picture the reference picture where the shadows are and just lightly for their adult. You know, so I'm pulling, uh, a few off the harsh edges. The doctor gonna And also with a light stroke for the random hair strands that stick out sometimes Maybe can just died with the lightest Make sure of the colors. Yes. Nightly struggling this. Oh, now, I would like to pick few color from here because I think this area is more lighter. I feel the shine and I think the street hair but is done now moving on to the wavy section
5. Wavy hair: we'll apply the same method here as well. In the baby section will first apply every light wash for the beast and then seen with the same layer. I'm going to again hint the doctor ideas and following the shape for this. Now, I'm not going straight away like this. Once you get the hang off it, um I'm sure that sometimes after this, you might not even, you know, feel like using a base sketch for it because, uh, this work so instinctual in instinctual that, um oh, get off Hung Griffin while just practicing again and again just following the shape again, Lightly greeting the wash now concentrating the colors for the doctor areas. I mean, you know the drill by No, - I'm pulling out a few extra colors as well for more softer finish. Oh, so the reference book I have what I'm doing. It's, um I am just kind off squinting my eye, and I'm figuring out the the level off darkness and lightness off each section. And that's how I'm painting it again . Lifting few colors droid harsh edges. So waiting for a few seconds for it to completely dry. So in few seconds back in a few seconds. We really already are cinema brush on, just take already mixed colors, the darkest colors and greed. Few contrasted Stratton's historians picking up a few colors again where I think it has gone toe dark, just picking it up with the brush dry brush and then continuing with the contrast in area. So I am, uh, creating a more bigger body for the hair. So going on with the brush directly again, light wash of the color and just swirl it like this if you flyaways off the hair and the way we here is done.
6. Curly hair: my for the curly hair Kalief hair. A painting called Here is, like, really, really fun. And maybe this is the reason why most of my paintings, portrait paintings. I have a lot off curly hair. So first, the base color. I like to put a bit after caution, a bit of turquoise in it, and just late on the beast color again. Light wash. This has to be like the quickest, uh, watercolor hairstyle can create a lot off dimensions in the base wash for curly hair. So we're even. Just it's wet. You can take more colors and concentrate the death and just swirl like this. The base colors almost 60% dry, so you can see a bit off the shape that I'm creating with the brush right now taking the duck most Khanna swirled around. Just let a bit off those curly hair strands come out off the painting as well, - so I'm letting a drying off. So back after half a minute, Ondas completely dried out. So Nolly concentrate. The darker color is more lightly makes world's air owned again, so I think we're done with it. I hope you like the exercise. Um, straight hair were here. And Kolya, you must practice this regularly and maybe take a few different references, big references and then tried out.
