9. Creating Emoji Vector Illustration with Affinity Designer: Hello, guys. Welcome
back to the course. In this video, we are
going to design Modi phase vector illustration
using Affinity Designer. Okay, now let's get started. The first thing that you need to do is to open the software. Then after that, we are
going to create a new file. Let's click File and click New. Then you will need
to specify the size. There are several
options like A four, A five, A six, letter, legal, ledger, B three, B four, B five, and
still many more. In this case, I'm going
to select A four, and now let's click Create. Okay, before creating
the Emoji phase, I'm going to introduce you to all basic features in
Affinity Designer. As you guys can see here on
the left side of the screens, we have several tools. Okay, let me explain one by one and make
sure that you pay very close attention
because it is very important for you to be
familiar with these tools. The first tool is move tool. We are going to use
this tool to select, move and reposition
objects on the canvas. The second tool is artboard. We are going to use
this tool to create and manage multiple artboards
for your design project. The third tool is node tool. We are going to use
this tool to edit and manipulate nodes and
pads of vector shapes. The four tool is contour. We are going to use
this tool to add or adjust contours around
objects or PAD. Okay, now let's move
on to the fifth tool. The fifth tool is corner tool. We are going to use
this tool to round haf or adjust the corners
of vector shapes. Next, we have Pen tool. We are going to use this
tool to draw custom shapes and pads by placing
anchor points. Next, we have pencil. I think this is pretty
self explanatory. We are going to use
this tool to sketch free hand pads and shapes
directly on the canvas. Next, we have stroke tool. We are going to use
this tool to adjust the width of strokes
dynamically along pads. Next, we have pros. We are going to use
this tool to apply artistic strokes or texture
to pads and objects. Okay, next, we have knife tool. We are going to use
this tool to cut pads or objects into
separate segments. Next, we have factor
float field tool. We are going to use this tool to fill in closed areas
with colors or gradient. Next, we have gradient tool. We are going to use
this tool to apply and edit gradients
on objects or fills. Next, we have Playtool. We are going to use
this tool to import external images or
graphics into your design. So if you want to
upload an image, just click Play tool, right? Next, we have factor crop tool. We are going to use this
tool to crop objects or images to specific
shapes or size. Next, we have rectangle toe. We are going to use this tool to create rectangular shapes. Next, we have ALPS tool. We are going to use
this tool to draw circular or oval shapes. Next, we have rounded
rectangle tool. We are going to use this tool to create rounded rectangles. Next, we have shape
builder tool. We are going to use
this tool to combine or subtract overlapping
shapes to create new ones. Next, we have
artistic text tool. We are going to use
this tool to add creative text with
customizable artistic effects. Okay, now let's look at the
right side of the screen. As you guys can see
here, we have the color. So if you want to change
the color of your object, just play around with
this color, guys. Okay, now let's get started. Firstly, we are going
to create a circle. So let's click Alps Stool
and let's create the circle. Okay, now let's
click on Move tool and let's direct the
circle to the middle. As you guys can see,
the color is gray. Now we are going to change
the color to yellow because most of the Emoji
phase is yellow, right? If you want to change the color, just like which color
that you want here. For example, if you want
green, just click this. If you want yellow, click this. As you guys can see here,
you have many options. Okay, next, we are going to add two more
circles for the eyes. Let's click this. I'm going to create
a very small circle and I'm going to change
the color to black. Cool. Okay, now I'm going to copy and
paste this circle. So now we have two circles. So this is going to
be the left eye, and this is going to
be the right eye. Okay, very cool. Okay, next, we are going
to create the mouth. The shape will be crescent, but unfortunately it
is not available, so I need to create
it by myself. Okay, now, let's
click on Alps stool, and let's create another circle. And let's click on Rectangle tool and let's
create a rectangle. Okay. Okay, now let's click on Move tool and let's
block these two objects. Okay, now let's take a look at the tools on the top right. We have several
operations like add, subtract, intersect,
so and divider. In this case, we are going to select substract.
Let's click this. Okay, now we ended up
with this crescent shape. Next, I'm going to
change the color to red. And let's move this crescent
shape and put it here. As you guys can see,
the Emboji is smiling, so obviously this is a
happy expression, right? But if you want to make
it a set expression, you can rotate this.
Okay, now look at this. This is obviously a
set expression, right? But in this case, I
want happy expression, so let's rotate it back. Okay, next, we are
going to add a teat. So let's create a rectangular. It is going to be a
small rectangular, and we are going to change
the color to white. Because commonly the color
of the teeth is white. Here we go. Next, we are
going to add eyebrow. Okay, now let's
click on Alps Sto. Let's create a small circle. And we are going to
change the color to blue, or you can change the color
to any color that you want. It is totally up to you, right? Because if the color is white, it's hard for us to do the operations because the
baron is also white, right? And let's add a rectangle.
Okay, here we go. Okay, now we are going to block these two objects and we are
going to click substract. Okay, now we're going
to copy and paste this. So we have two, the left
eyebrow and the right eyebrow. Maybe blue is not very suitable, so maybe I'm going to
change the color to black. Okay, guys, here is the A Muji phase
factor illustrations. If you want to
download this image, just click File
and click Export. Okay, you will need to
select the file type. There are several
options like PNG, GPG, GIF TV PDF, and
sido many moore. In this case, I'm
going to select PNG and let's click Export. Then I'm going to save
this file on deskop. And I'm going to name
this file Emoji face. Let's click Save. Okay, guys, we are done.
I think that's it. That's all you need
to know. I'll see you guys in the next video. Bye.

the cup from gray to black. Okay, here we go. Okay, next, we are going to add a smoke because usually green tea is served when it is hot, right? And sometimes you
will see a smoke. Okay, now let's create a circle and let's
create a rectangle. Okay, now we are going to
block these two objects, and let's click substrate. Next, we are going to change the color from black to gray. Okay, now let's click
on the Note tool. And we are going to
make it more curve. Okay. Now we are going

you need to understand. And in this case, I'm going to explain this concept
using MinMap. Now let's zoom in a little bit, and let's get started

shades, tins, and tones. It creates a harmonious look. For example, blue, light
blue, and dark blue. If you notice all
of them are blue. Now let's move on to the
second one, analogous color. It is a colors that sit next to each other
on the color wheel, often found in nature and
it creates a serene design. For example, yellow and orange. The third one is
complimentary colors. It is colors that are opposite of each other on
the color wheel. It has high contrast
and vibrant. Commonly it is used
for bold design. For example, red and green. Now let's move on to the fourth
one, split complimentary. It is a base color and two colors adjacent
to its complement. Usually it has
less tensiont than complimentary and also
balanced yet dynamic. For example, blue,
orange and red. Let's move on to the fifth
one. Try the colors. It is three colors evenly
spaced on the color wheel. It is vibrant and balanced and commonly it is used
for playful designs. For example, red,
yellow, and blue. Let's move on to the sixth one, warm versus cool colors. If we are talking
about warm colors, it evokes energy and warmth while cool colors are
calming and soothing. Examples of warm colors are red, orange and yellow, and examples of cool colors are
blue, green and purple. Now let's move on to the seventh one, neutral color palette. It is colors that are muted
and not overly vibrant, often used for
minimalistic design. For example, white and gray. The last one is
gradient palette. It is a smooth transitions
between two or more colors. It adds depth and dimensions and also popular
in modern designs. For example, purple
to pink gradient. Okay, now we are going to utilize AI tools to
