About This Class
Does the thought of working with Google Sheets fill you with dread?
Have you been putting off creating a spreadsheet that will really help you keep track of your to-do list, or your budget, because you’ve never used Google Sheets before?
Maybe you’ve stopped yourself from trying it because you think you need to know long, complicated formulas to make it work.
Here’s the good news - you don’t need to know long complicated formulas if you don’t want to.
I believe that spreadsheets don't need to be all-singing, all-dancing, and full of complicated formulas... they just need to give you what you want to see.
So if you're a bit wary of using Google Sheets, then hopefully this class will help build up your confidence to create more sheets that work for you, remember to keep things as simple as possible, and at the end of it you will have a simple spreadsheet for you to keep track of all of your files and folders in your Google Drive, to help you feel more organised.
It's a win-win :)
What you will learn
In this class I show you the steps needed to open a new Google Sheet and create your own Google Drive file tracker.
You will learn:
- The different ways to access a blank Google Sheet
- How to rename the file for better organisation
- How to change text fonts, size and colours
- How to create & edit dropdown lists
- How to add links to cells
- How to use data validation to format cells for dates
- How to insert notes to remind you what the columns do
- How to apply and use filters in the sheet
- How to set up the sheet ready for printing
This class will help you with the basics of Google Sheets, and don’t worry, I keep things as simple as possible, and the video lessons are bite sized so you won't feel overwhelmed.
What you will need:
To complete this class you will need:
- an active Google account (free or paid),
- a computer,
- an internet connection.
I hope you enjoy this class, and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.

Hands-on Class Project
By the end of the class, you will have your own File Tracker sheet, which you will have customised with your own choice of fonts, colours and styles to make it your own - take a screenshot of your sheet and upload that into your project area.
I can't wait to see what you come up with!
