1. The Goal Getter Mini: Welcome to the goal getter Mini. Now, are you full of creative ideas, but maybe struggling to turn them into real actionable goals? Do you maybe feel overwhelmed by distractions, uncertainty, or maybe just not knowing where to start? Well, you're not alone, and that's exactly why this class exists. I'm Bonnie Christine. I'm an artist, surface pattern designer, and creative entrepreneur who's built a multimillion dollar business from the ground up over the past 15 years. I've learned that the key to success isn't just in what we do, it's in how we think. It's our mindset that shapes the journey, helping us move from dreaming to doing. So in the goal geteter Mini, I'm going to guide you through the six most important mindset shifts, strategies, and action steps that will help you gain clarity, stay motivated. And finally create the creative life you've always imagined. Together, we're going to tackle common roadblocks like fear, distraction, overwhelm. You'll walk away with clear, actionable steps to move towards your biggest goal one step at a time. This mini class is designed to give you a fast track to creative entrepreneurship, taking the lessons I've learned through trial and error and delivering them in a clear, simplified way that you can start applying today. Now, if you're ready to stop feeling stuck and start making real progress, let's dive in. I can't wait to guide you on this journey. 2. Think Like a Successful Creative: In this lesson, we're going to talk about one of the biggest challenges that creative entrepreneurs face, and that is overcoming comparison. Now, we live in a world where it's easier than ever to just compare ourselves to others, whether it's their successes or their art or their lifestyle. But comparison steals our joy. It hinders our progress, and it really dampens our creative spirit. The goal is to shift from comparing to embracing your unique path. Now, comparison can really make us feel like we're not good enough or that we'll never measure up to others. But the truth is that everyone's journey is different, and comparing your Chapter one to someone else's Chapter 20 is a recipe for discouragement. So instead of focusing on what others are doing, we need to focus on our own growth, our own creative voice, and trust that there's room for us all to flourish, and that we're exactly where we were meant to be right now. You know, I felt the weight of comparison many times in my career. Early on, when I was just starting out, I would scroll through social media and see so many talented artists who seemed to have it altogether, and their work was incredible. And I found myself questioning whether I would ever reach that level, and it could be really paralyzing at times. And I was doubting if my work was good enough to stand out. You know, today, I still compare myself often too many times when I really know better, right? When I started my podcast, the professional creative, I remember thinking, impostor syndrome, comparison overwhelm, Ah, there was no room for me. I was too late in the game. I should have started this ten years ago. Look at all the successful podcasts out there, and yet I just finally decided to push it all away and understand that there was a reason that I was here at this moment in time. And so I just started anyways, even though I felt like a small fish in the big ocean and way late to the game. And I'm so glad I did. It's one of the best things that I've ever done for my business. And so whenever we're ready, we need to start and push away all the comparison. I finally realized that no one else has walked my exact path, and no one else has walked yours. No one else has your experiences, your perspective, your voice. And so we each bring something unique to the table that no one else can replicate. Once I shifted my focus to really embracing my own journey and where I was, and I stopped worrying about what others were doing, my work truly blossomed, and I found my stride and I felt really good in it. As you continue your journey, remember that comparison is natural, but it doesn't have to control you. So you can embrace your own path, celebrate your own voice, and where you're at today, and find the confidence to grow and flourish without that burden of extra comparison. We're all cheering you on, and I'll see you in the next lesson. 3. Your Path to Confidence: In this lesson, we're talking about an important mindset shift, choosing to operate from a place of abundance rather than a place of fear. Now, fear often holds us back from pursuing our dreams. But when we focus on abundance, we open ourselves up to greater possibilities and opportunities. So let's explore how really embracing an abundance based mindset can transform the way that you approach your goals and open up all levels of new successes to you. Fear can show up in many forms, fear of failure, fear of not being good enough, fear of running out of ideas or fear of what others might think. These fears can really stop you from moving forward or keep you playing small forever. Here's the thing. When you operate from a mindset of abundance, you believe that there is enough enough opportunity, enough creativity, enough success for everyone, including you. This mindset shift can help you take bigger steps towards your dream, believing that you can and not being held back by fear. I struggled a lot with fear. I worried that my work wasn't good enough, that there wasn't enough room for me in the industry, and that I might run out of ideas. Yes, I thought I might run out of ideas. Fear just kept creeping in in every stage, and it does even today, especially when I'm starting on a new project. But over time, I realized that this fear wasn't helping me. I was limiting me. It was holding me back. So I began to shift my thinking. Instead of focusing on the fear, worrying that there wasn't enough space, that there was some kind of scarcity, I started focusing on abundance, the enoughness of it all. I reminded myself that there was plenty of room for my voice and my work and that the creative world was full of opportunity if I was willing to just step into it. Now, this shift changed literally everything. I began to trust my creative process more. I began to take bigger risks, and I began to trust my business and see every challenge as an opportunity for growth. Now I want you to step into that same abundance mindset. When you believe there is enough for everyone, including you, the fear that holds you back will begin to lose its power. You choose abundance over fear, you open yourself up to endless possibilities. There is room for you and your work, and there are opportunities waiting for you when you step into them. Now, in the next lesson, we're going to talk about a common challenge, feeling like you don't have enough time and how to shift the mind around that, as well. I'll see you there. 4. The Power of Micro Progress: Okay. Let's talk about how big dreams are actually achieved. Not all at once, but step by step by doing just one small thing every single day. When a goal feels overwhelming or distant, the key is to break it down into manageable actions that move you forward little by little. Now, this approach keeps you from feeling stuck and helps you build momentum over time. It's really easy to get caught up in the enormity of a goal, especially when you have big dreams, like I know that you do. But focusing too much on the long term can lead to feelings of overwhelm. Path to success often begins with just one small step repeatedly, consistently. Doing one thing every day, no matter how small, adds up to significant progress over time. For me, I learned this in the spring of 2010. I had a dream, a big audacious goal to become a fabric designer. That dream felt so far away, I didn't even know where to begin. For six months, I kept thinking about it, but I actually did nothing. It seemed impossible to break through the wall of uncertainty and just start moving towards accomplishing it. One day, after months of feeling stuck, I made a promise to myself. Would do one thing every day, no matter how small, to work towards becoming a fabric designer. My first one thing was simply researching how to get started. That was it. The next day, I did another small thing, and then another. It felt like tiny progress, but at least I was moving. And after 18 months of doing at least one thing a day, I signed my first fabric design contract. The simple practice of daily action transformed my approach to goals. Over time, those small steps added up to something really big and seemingly impossible. It reminded me that dreams don't happen overnight. They happen with consistent daily effort. By focusing on doing just one thing a day, you're giving yourself the gift of steady progress. Big dreams don't need to be tackled all at once. Instead, let's approach them one step at a time, knowing that each day brings you closer to where you really want to be. I'm proud of you for being here and showing up, and I'll see you in the next lesson. Thank you. 5. Staying Focused: Now we're diving into the topic of focus. In a world full of distractions, it can be so hard to stay focused on our work, especially as creatives, we are vulnerable to having our attention pulled in so many different directions, whether it's emails or social media or the endless list of ideas that we want to explore. But learning how to focus is one of the most powerful skills that you can develop in order to bring your dreams to life. Now, focus is what allows you to make real progress on your goals. When you learn how to tune out distractions and zero in on what matters most, you can accomplish more and less time. You'll work to protect your creative energy and set up systems that help you stay on track. Clearer your focus, the more consistent and meaningful your progress is going to be. Now, we all struggle with focus. I can remember times where my inbox was constantly buzzing. Social media was always calling, and I always felt like I needed to be everywhere at once. It was draining, and I wasn't making the kind of progress I knew I was capable of because my brain felt like scrambled eggs every day. One day, I realized that I needed to get really serious about my ability to focus. I started by creating time blocks for deep, uninterrupted work, turning off notifications, and simplifying my to do list, and more of a prioritized list. I also began using a time cube to set focused work intervals which helped me stay on task without getting distracted. Now, these changes were challenging, but over time, I noticed a huge difference in both the quality and the quantity of the work that I was producing. Now, focus is one of my biggest strengths. I can get into deep focus easily, and it's a key part of how I've built such a thriving business. I want to help you develop that same focus so that you can achieve your goals without feeling overwhelmed or scrambled, as well. You see, focus is one of the most important tools that you have as a creative. Setting up a focus friendly environment, using time blocks and practicing single tasking, you can start making real progress on your goals. And the next lesson, we're going to dive into the power of consistency and how building habits can help keep you on track. I'll meet you there. 6. Building Momentum: Thank you. Now we're going to talk about the importance of celebrating your wins with rewards. So no matter the size of your achievement, I love rewards. Taking the time to acknowledge and celebrate your progress, it keeps you motivated. It reinforces your habits. It helps you stay connected to your goals and also helps you slow down to look at everything that you've done. Rewards are really a great way to recognize the effort that you've put in and really give yourself some encouragement to keep going. Celebrating your wins allows you to reflect on how far you've come, and it's going to help give you energy to keep going. Each time you achieve a goal, it's an opportunity to pause, acknowledge your hard work and reinforce the behaviors and habits that got you there in the first place. Now, rewards give your brain a positive signal that motivates you to keep striving towards your bigger goals. Now, throughout my career, I have rewarded myself with all sorts of things. So let me give you some examples. When it is a small accomplishment, right? So maybe I have successfully completed, like, a two hour really hard working block of some deep work that I really needed to get done that felt difficult. I'll reward myself by giving myself like 15 minutes to do some aimless, like, scrolling and checking and clicking around the Internet. So it feels like a reward because it taps on this, need to just indulge for a minute. Then when I accomplish something a bit bigger, right? I might book myself a massage or I might buy a new book that I've been wanting, or it doesn't always have to include money either, right? Like, maybe you indulge in taking the afternoon off or being in a hammock for an hour with no work or doing something special with someone that you love. The point is not necessarily to spend money, even though that also works. Maybe for some of your biggest rewards, you book a vacation to really say to yourself, you did it. Let's say maybe you finish writing a book, Book yourself a reward, right? But it's not necessarily about spending the money. It's about pausing to recognize that you did it. And so it can be any number of things. The point is to say, I did something worth celebrating. And that, my friends, is going to be something that just keeps you excited. Sometimes your rewards can be so good that they actually motivate you to do your work more quickly or better. They'll get your feet on the floor more quickly in the morning. It's super, super fun and a great way to make sure that you're recognizing your accomplishments without just barrel rolling through one thing to the next, like it's so easy for us to do as creative entrepreneurs. I want to encourage you to build in rewards and celebrations for yourself as a way to stay motivated and really deeply connected to your progress. Celebrating your wins with rewards is an essential part of staying motivated and connected to your progress. By taking time to acknowledge your journey, you're going to reinforce the habits that led to success and keep the momentum going. Hi, my friend. You made it.
