1. Introduction: Hello everybody. Welcome to my new class. This class is all about goals. Goals are what is driving us in life. Goals are the most important thing that you need to take care of. You need to have goals in your life. Some people think when I'm talking about goals, they think that I'm talking only about career, about money, about huge things. No, goals are everything. Everything in your life is a goal. In your personal life, in your financial life, in your health, everything in your life can be a goal. Even if you want to spend a good day, it's a goal. So today in today's class, we're talking only about goals. This class is going to be in two parts. Part number one is this. One is how to set your goals. How to know what goals exactly you have in which criteria in your life. How to define your goals and make them clear in front of your eyes. And then in the next part, in part two, we will learn how to plan exactly to your goals. How to plan to reach those goals and achieve them better in the best way ever. So in today's class, we're only learning about how to define and set your goals to make them clear and make the list about your goals. 2. Setting goals: Hello my friend. Okay, let's get started as soon as we can because it's a very important class and it's a very important thing for you to learn, okay? Because today we're all about success and we're all about being good and happy and being the best version of ourselves. And this will not happen, you will not reach that without achieving goals or knowing exactly what you want in your life. Okay, so today we're talking about how to define goals and how to set them. We have some steps we can take to define those goals and set them clearly in front of your eyes. First thing you need, of course, a notebook or a paper or something. And you need to just sit quietly, relaxing, and without any distractions around. You don't start to do that step when you're tired, when you're angry, when you're feeling frustrated, when you're feeling sleepy, when you have anybody talking around you. When you have a lot of things rolling around in your head, you have a lot of things, other things to do. You have to be free. You have nothing to do. You have to be relaxed. You have to be in a quiet place. You know, just try to set the mood to clear your mind. We're making a brainstorm here and we're trying to extract every single thing, every single thought, an idea in our minds to just put it on a paper and start to achieve it. Start to work on it, set the mood, set everything right before starting. You have your notebook, you have your pen, and you are now ready to start What you're going to do, as I said in the introduction, goals are everything. Goals are everything in our life, not just career, not just money, not just buying stuff or anything. You have a lot of criterias in your life that you can make goals in. Like you have social goals, you have financial goals, you have personal goals, family goals, you have career goals, you know, everything in your life can have goals. What I'm asking you to do right now is just to start to make categories in your notebook. The first one is your personal goals, the second one is your social goals, the third one is your family goals and so on. Just make the categories of your life which you have goals in. And then under every category you have to write down what exactly do you see that you have in your mind as goals in this category? For example, in your personal goals, personal goals category, you need to learn something new. Maybe new language, a new skill. Maybe learn, maybe change your lifestyle, maybe work out, you know, whatever you want to change your life, maybe change a habit in your life. Whatever you want to do in your life, whatever you want to change in your life, in your personal life, you know personally not in your life in general, because this is another criteria. If you want to change something in your family, something in your social life. Now I'm talking about your personal goals, your personal life. What do you want to change or achieve, or in your life? Okay? Write down every single thing, every single thought that you have in your mind that you want to change or achieve in your personal goals, in your personal life. And do the same thing at the other categories. In your social category, in your work category, financial category. Do the same thing in each category. Write down every single thing, every single goal and thought and idea that you have under each category, okay? But while you're doing this, I need you to be cautious about something, about the mistakes that we make while we are setting our goals or thinking about them. There are some mistakes that we're making in here. First thing, that we're in a hurry all the time, okay? You are in a hurry to achieve those goals. And I can say that most of the goals are not that fast to be achieved. You need to take your time. If you want to change something in yourself as a personal goal, you need to take your time to change it. Same thing at each category. You need to take your time to achieve those goals. So don't be, uh, you know, don't be in a hurry. Do you know if you didn't achieve them? So don't beat yourself up because you didn't do them as fast as you can. No. Take your time. The second mistake you make is you're not realistic when you're setting your goals. Because sometimes we set goals that are not meant for us, that are not suitable for us, they are not for you personally. Be realistic while setting your goals. Set the goals that are suitable for you and your life, and your circumstances, and your health and everything. This leads us. The third mistake that you set goals while you're not knowing your abilities, know your abilities first before you set your goals. Some people do set goals that are not suitable for their abilities. They can achieve them physically, mentally, they cannot achieve them. Just be realistic and set the goals that are suitable for your abilities. Don't do these three mistakes while setting your goals in every category that you're doing right now, okay? So now you have categories and lists of each category with every single goal you want to achieve in it. This is clear right now. Take your time while doing this list because you don't have to do it all at once, at one day, at one time. Because you need to take your time to extract all the thoughts and ideas and goals from your mind. So take your time. Maybe you can take one day, two days, one week, whatever you need to set those goals, you just go for it. Maybe you can do every category in a separate date. Today I'm working in my personal goals, tomorrow I'm working in my financial goals and so on. Because it takes a lot of effort to extract those things and those thoughts out of my mind. And do that brainstorming. It takes effort. It takes time, it takes work. Now, for the second step, you need to prioritize those goals. Each category I have a list of goals. In these goals, I have urgent ones or most important ones, and least important ones and ones that are okay, they are important but they are not urgent and so on. So I need to prioritize this list. I need to do the most important ones in the beginning, you know, not so important next, and then the least important ones in the end. Because I need to know which goals that I need to work on right now and which goals. No, I can just work on them later. Prioritize your list so you can know exactly where to start and what to take with you throughout the journey, and then why you're prioritizing your goals. You need to know two things. Try to classify your goals into two lists. Long term goals, short term goals, not every single goal you can achieve right now and not every single goal you can achieve later. Okay? So you can know the deadline of each goal. Write down, classify your goals into two lists, long term and short term. Long term are the goals that you need to achieve. But later in your life, they are in the future. They are taking a lot of time. They're not very urgent right now. I can start working on them right now, but they are moving, walking with me throughout the journey of my life and I can achieve them in the future. Or they are a lifestyle I can do them while I'm living the short term. Goals are the goals that are, that need to be achieved right away. Like your to do list. For example, today in the morning, I'm making a to do list for my tasks throughout the day and I need to work on them today. Or I'm making a to do list for this week and I need to work on them in this week. Those are the short term goals. Try to differentiate between the long term goals and the short term goals. Two lists, put down every single goal in its place. So now let's take a look at the whole process. Now You sat down, you made a category for each criteria in your life. And then under this category you wrote down a list of goals that is related to this one. And then in each category, you are prioritizing those goals. And then at last, you're trying to classify them. Long term or short term goals. You do this in every category in your life and every single goal you do this to it. Because why? It's not very complicated, but it's easier for you to achieve. You're making a whole picture, a whole image of this goal to yourself. So it's easier for you to achieve. It's easier for you to plan for it. Because it's easier if I know that goal exactly where it is when I want to do it. Is it now? Is it later? Is it in the future? No, it's not in the future. It's today. I know exactly how to plan for it, so it's easier for you to make a plan. Okay. Now you have an overall view about this, about goals in your life. You set your goals and they are very clear. You have a clear image about them. Do this in the appropriate time you want. You can do it day in one day in one week, in one month. Do however you want. And then when you're ready and it's clear to you, we will start next as soon as we can so we can start planning for those goals. Now I'm leaving you with this class to just start working on setting your goals. And then in the next class, we will talk about the planning for those goals and how will you achieve them clearly and success on them.
