About This Class
Hallo Studenten!
I am Frau Hannah, your German language instructor!
In this class, we will cover the German Alphabet. We will discuss how to pronounce each letter using German words as references, as well as how to use these letters when spelling German words. We will then practice what we’ve learned through asking and answering the questions “Buchstabieren Sie bitte? - Can you please spell that?”, “Welches Wort hörst du? - What word do you hear?’, and “Welchen Buchstaben hörst du? - What letter do you hear?”.
After class, there is a project that is designed for individual practice. It builds on the information learned in class and test writing and listening skills. You will find it and all the details in the Project & Resource section below.
The only material needed for this course is you!
This class is perfect for beginner learners of all ages, and would also be a good refresher of foundational concepts for intermediate and advanced learners.

Hallo Studenten!
I am Frau Hannah, your German language instructor!
This project is designed for individual practice. It builds on the information learned in class and tests writing and listening skills through an exercise involving matching the letter to the correct sound and spelling the different German words you hear. It is in your best interest to review the slides a few times before attempting the project, as repetition is your best friend when it comes to second language learning!
You'll also find an answer key. I encourage you to try the project without the aid of the answer key or the class slides. When finished, check your answers afterwards using the answer key. Please do post your finished copies! I'd be more than happy to look them over and correct any errors!
