1. Introduction: Hello everyone. I'm Uni. And into this class, we'll draw kids with snow map. This class doesn't require any prior experience or fancy tools. We'll start from scratch and we'll be using simple techniques throughout the process. Everything you'll see will be happening in Procrit. However, if you have other software or want to try traditional materials, you are welcome to join. If you are ready to start, let's jump right into it. 2. General Scheme: Let's begin our class by deciding what kind of canvas we are going to be using. You can see it is a very simple standard square canvas that you can find. In procreate, both pixel width and pixel height are set at 2048 pixels. But of course, if you'd like to use any other dimensions for your canvas, just go for it. As for DPI, we are using 300. And as for the color profile, it is set as SRGB with the low number. When it's all done, let's just hit down over our top right, and we will be redirected to R canvas. Now we will need to decide what kind of colors we are going to be using throughout the whole class. Of course, you can pick the colors yourself, but if you would like to follow along and use the same colors that you will see throughout the class, please go to the project and reser Sap and download all the materials when you did it. Let's just go straightly to our color palettes and let's check out what we have here. Here we have two options of how we can use our colors, the compact view, and the cards. We'll go to the cards because here we have all the colors, names and it will be easier for us to navigate through them while we are still here into our color palettes, let's select the first color that we are going to be used for creating our basic scheme. We will go and select the color with the name, dark purple. When we have our new color, we will need to go and select the brush. Let's just go to the brush library and we will go to the sketching folder. In the sketching folder, you can select any brush that you like. You can pick one of them. You can go back to the canvas. Try out if you don't like it, get back to the brush library and select another brush. When you found the brush that you like and when we have this color that we are using right now, let's just go and start creating our basic scheme. The first thing that we will need to do is to create a line that will go from top to the bottom. Let's just go over the top and we will go and create a straight line. In the end, we will hold it and you will see that you snapped your line to a better straight one. If you move your apple pencil from side to side while you are holding it up, you will see that you are changing the ingle. Try to make it very straight. When you have this line, let's just go and put it right in the middle of our canvas. What we need to do is to go to our Er key on the top left. And on the bottom we will choose uniform methods. Also on the bottom we will need to go under snapping. And we will need to toggle snapping from the settings when we did it, we will need to go back to our canvas. We'll need to hold our apple pencil and the screen. And we will need to move our line until we see this orange line that is going from top to the bottom. When we have this line going from top to the bottom, we will know that we are putting our line right in the middle of our canvas. When you've reached it, lift up your apple pencil and let's just go and desalect everything by hitting our arrow key one more time. Now when we have this first line, we will need to create another line, but this time it should go through the horizontal axis. Let's just go firstly to our layers. And we will create one more layer above this layer that we already have. We will tap on the plus icon, and when we did it, we will go either to the left or to the right. And we will create a horizontal line that will go again through the center of our canvas, the same way as before, just creating the line and holding it at the end. If we need to adjust the angle, we will go and adjust it. When we are satisfied with the straightness of this line, we will go again to our air key on the top plat. Go into our snapping. If it's not turned on, turn it on. And then we will hold our apple pencil and the screen. And we will go and move this line until we have it right on our orange line. When you have it, let's just go and deslect everything by hitting our air key one more time. Now when we have these two lines, let's just go again to our layers. And we will create one more layer above. What we need to do right now is to create a circle. We will go the same way as we did before with these two lines straightly to our canvas. And with one line we will create our sheep. Let's just go and start creating our sheep. Hold it at the end. And then we will need to hold one of our fingers on the screen. We will snap our ship to a perfectly round circle. Let's just go and adjust the size of it by moving our apple pencil from side to side While we are holding everything up on our screen. Let's just make it that big. And when you're satisfied one more time, we will need to make sure that we are putting this ship right in the middle of our canvas. The same way as before. We are just going to our arrow key and we are turning on our snapping. If it's not turned on steel, we will just need to go and put the elements right in the middle. Let's just hold our apple pencil and let's just find these two lines. One is going through the top and one is going from side to side. When you have these two blue lines, you will know that you are putting your element right in the middle. And when you have the result like that, let's just go and desalate everything by hitting our O key one more time. And now we will need to go and create one more element. So again, we are going to our layers and we will create one more layer above. This time, we will need to go and create a triangle. Let's just go to this intersection that we have on the top, between our line that is going from top to the bottom, and our ellipse from this intersection, we will just go the same way as we did before, just with one line, we will create a ship. Hold it at the end. And again, you can hold one of your fingers on the screen and you will snap your triangle to a better one, just the size of it, so it is quite the same as our ellipse. When you're satisfied with the size and with everything here, let just lift everything that we are holding right now. Now again, we will need to go and put this element right in the middle of our canvas. The same way as before. Going again to our ero key on the top left. Let's just put it right in the middle. And also we will combine it with our circle. Let's just go and find this line that is going from top to the bottom. And also we will find this line that is going in the middle. You will need to have the guiding lines going in that way. You will have one line that is vertical and going through the middle of your canvas. Also you will have three lines that are going horizontally. When you have the result like that, one more time, we will go and deselect everything. Tap on the okey on the top left, and when you are ready, let just go to our lease, and we will combine all of these four layers together. We will need to put one of our fingers on the layer that we have on the top and the second finger on our layer on the bottom. When we have them, we will just need to go and make a pinch movement. Now we have everything on one layer and we can just go and rename it as basic scheme. To do so, we will need to tap on our layer number one. And from this list we will choose rename. When we are done with the task of renaming our elements, let's just go and change the capacity of this layer. By changing the capacity, we are making our elements on our screen, on this concrete layer a little bit more transparent later on when we are going to be creating the skitch or when we are going to be creating our next scheme. Still will see what's happening onto this layer, but it won't be that distracted. So what we need to do is to go to this basic scheme and we'll need to tap on this icon near the checkbox when you did it. On the top you will see that you have a slighter capacity and we can just grab it and move it toward the left until we still can see what's happening here. But when it's not that bright, find the capacity level that works for you. And when you are done, let just tap on our basic scheme, layer one more time to close this window. Now we are ready with our first scheme. Let's move on to our next part, where we are going to be creating a scheme for our first illustration. 3. Girl: Scheme: Let's begin this part. First, go into our color palettes and we will select some quantrclor. For example, Let's just go with magenta. When we have this color selected, let's just get back to our layers and we'll create one more layer above our layer with basic scheme. Let's just tap on the plus icon. And for now we can keep this layer without any name. Later on we can get back to it and rename it. Now when we have our new layer and when we have our new color, let's just start creating some basic elements that later on we will turn into our illustration. Firstly, let's just go and start by creating the shapes for our snowman. We will go toward our bottom left, and we will start by creating a shape of a simple circle. Firstly, let's go to this intersection that we have between these two straight lines. And we will go a little bit lower where we have our line that is going horizontally. We will make a little mark down like that. When we have this mark down, we will need to go and create a shape of the circle the same way as before. We are just going to this little mark down from it. We are creating a shape, going down in that way, the same way as before, doing it just with one line. And in the end we are holding our apple pencil to snap it to a better shape. When we have this shape, let's hold one of our fingers on the screen and snap it to a perfectly round circle. Let's make it a little bit bigger so it is touching our bottom part of the triangle. And when you have something like that, let's just lift up everything that we are holding right now. If you want, you can go and make it a little bit smaller by going to your arrow key on the top left using uniform method and go into one of the nose over the top. Let's just go and make it just a little bit smaller when you have it like that. Let's just go and desalate everything by hitting our arrow key one more time. Now when we have this first shape, let's just go over the top and we will create another shape of the circle the same way as before. Just go into the middle part on this shape. Let's just go to the top and make a little mark down somewhere in the middle. When we have this mark down from it, let's just go and create our shape the same way as before. Creating it just with one line and making it that big. Holding it at the end and holding one of our fingers on the screen to snap it to a perfectly round circle. When you have the result like that, we will go over the top where we have this option circle and we are in the editing mode. When you are in the editing mode, you can see that you have this little blue nodes. You can go to them and you can adjust them by tweaking them. Also, if you want to move your shape or make it smaller, you can do it from the editing mode to firstly, let's just go and move the shape a little bit lower. What we need to do is the same thing as before. We are holding our apple pencil at some blank space and we are just moving our shape. Let's just go and put it somewhere in that way. We have it a little bit popping up on the top. On the left, it is going beyond the frame of our triangle and we are putting it inside our shape that we have on the bottom. Also, we can just go and make it a little bit smaller by going right between the nodes. Holding our apple pencil there and dragging it down at the end. Let's just have something like that and when you're satisfied with your Shep, let's just tap on the screen to get away from our edited mode. Now we will go to the shape that we have on the top. And we will need to create a line that will go through the center of it as we want everything to be not super straight, but some of three quarters. Let's just go and create this line. Not in a straightway, but we will create a little curve. Let's go over the top of this element. We will go somewhere to the middle of it and we will start creating a curve going down in that way. Again, at the end, we will hold our line. If you want to adjust the angle, please go and do that. If you over did it or if you want to adjust it even more, you can go over the top to the Arc option adjusted from the editing mode. What we need to have here is to split the ship with this new line into two pieces. And the piece that we have on our left should be a little bit bigger than our piece on the right. Let's just go and do that. Also, if you just want to go and adjust the angle of this line. If you want to adjust the curvature of this line, go to the nodes and adjust it. Basically what we need at the end is something like that. When you have it in that way, let's just step on the screen to get away from our editing mode. Now, when we have these two shapes and when we have this additional line on the top, let's just go to the bottom and we will create a straight line that later on we will turn into some floor elements. We're just going to the bottom part and we will step just a little bit from it. So let's just make a little markdown somewhere right here, when you have this little markdown, let's just go and create a horizontal line that will be parallel to the line that we have on the bottom of our triangle. Again, just going through the whole shape and creating our line. In the end, we will hold our Apple pencil. If we need to adjust the angle, we can move our apple pencil from top to the bottom. Or if we need to adjust it even more, we will go over the top to the option line. We will go inside the editing mode if you need to adjust it even more from here, you are welcome to go and do that. If you need to make this line more straight, go to the nodes and adjust that when you're satisfied with your result. Let's just tap on our screen to get away from the editing mode. When we have this line on the bottom, we are done with our snowman. Let's move on over our right part and we will start creating the shapes for our girl. Now let's just go over our top right, and we will start creating the shapes for our future hat. What we need to do is to go a little bit higher than we have our horizontal line. And we will start by creating a shape of the Alps. Let's just make it that big. We will touch our top of the scheme. At the end of the line, we will hold our Apple pencil. Now when we have something like that, let's just go to our editing mode and let's make the shape a little bit more rounded. What we need is to go to one of these nodes and open the shape. Let's just go and create something in that way. You can see we are touching our scheme line and also we are touching our top of the head of the snowman. And we have a little space on the bottom between this line that we have on a horizontal axis. When we have something like that, let's just go and tap on our screen to get away from the edited mold. When we have this shape, we will need to go and create another ship of the allopse. But this time it will be aligned more horizontally. And we will need to put it right inside the ship and shift it a little bit toward the left side. Let's just go more toward the bottom left of the ship. And we will go and create another Ellpse In that way, as always, hold it at the end. And then we will go over our top to the edited molt. What we need to do here is to create something in that way. We are moving our ship a little bit toward the left and we are overlapping it with our ship on the top. We have some space on our right and also we have some space on the top. When you have something like that, let's just go away from our editing mode now. We will need to go to these two ships and we will need to make a cross that will represent the center of this element. Again, as we are not creating everything in a very straight manner, we will need to go and create two curves. Firstly, let's just go over the top of this bigger ship. And we will go down with the curve like that, the same way as before. We will need to put this little curve in the same way as we have it on our top of the snowman. Our sheep on the right will be a little bit bigger than our sheep on the left. Let's just create something in that way. As always, you can go and hold your line at the end and then go to the editing mode and adjust it from here. What we need is something like that. When you have this first curve, let's just tap on the screen and get away from our editing mode. And then we will go and create another curve going on a horizontal axis. Again, let's just go to the sheep that we have on the bottom. We will make a little mark down somewhere in the middle of it. We will go and create another curve going through this little markdown or a little bit above it, when we have it positioned in that way. Let's just get away from our editing mode. And then we will go over our right part and we will create a little allapse for our future ear. What we need to do is to go underneath this line that we have in the middle and we will go and create a shape. In that way, you can play around with the roundness on this element. You can make it very rounded or you can make it very small. It's all up to you. When you have something like that, we are ready to move on to the bottom part and create a few more lines that later on we will turn into some close. Let's firstly go underneath this ear that we have just created. We will step just a little bit to the left from it and we will make a little mark down. When we have this mark down, we will go down with the straight line that will be quite parallel to the line that we have on our triangle. Let's just go down with a line like that At the end, we will hold it and we will move it just a tiny bit to the left. It has a shape going in that way. You can see that these two lines are quite parallel to one another, but on the bottom we have a wider shape. Now when we have something like that, let's just go underneath this line that we have in the middle right here. And we will go a little bit under it. We will make another markdown like that. When you have this mark down, we will go and create another line that later on we will turn into the arm. What we need to do is to go to this little markdown that we have just made. And we will create a line going in that way. Hold it at the end if you want. And when you are done, we will just go with another line that will go right to the intersection that we have between these two shapes on our snowman. Let's create a line going in that way. When we have the line like that, let's just go underneath it and we will create a curve. That later on we will turn into the bottom part of the jacket. Firstly, let's just go to this bottom part of the snowman, and we will find an approximate center oven by making a little mark down like that when we have this little markdown. Let's just go with the curve a little bit toward our right and create something in that way. We are going up and we are holding our line at the end. You can play around with the curvature of this element. You can make it higher, You can make it lower. It's all up to you for now. We are creating just a simple scheme that later on we will work on and we can adjust it later on too. Now when we have this little curve, let's just go and create two more lines that later on we will turn into the leg. Firstly, let's just go to this curve that we have just created. We will find the center of it and we will go a little bit toward the left from this little mark down. Let's just make the mark down like that when we have it, we will go down with the line like that. When you have this new line, let's just go again and find the center of this new line. We'll make a little mark down, and then we will go a little bit lower from it. We'll make another markdown. And from this mark down we will go and create another line. And connect it with the shape on our right. When we have something like that, all that we need to add is another little line that later on we will turn into the arm. Let's just go to this intersection between these two shapes on our left, where we have the two ellipses for our snowman. From this intersection we will go to the left and we will create a line going in that way. When we have this last line, we are ready to move on to our next part, where we are going to be creating our skitch. 4. Girl: Sketch: Let's begin this part firstly by going to our layers. And we will rename this layer where we have the scheme for our girl. Let's just step on the layer and choose rename from the list. When we are done with this task, if you feel that maybe your lines on this scheme are a little bit too bright, you can go to the end icon and change the capacity on these lines if you are okay with them. We are ready to go and create one more layer above our layer. With the girl scheme, we can go and rename it as Skitch. When we have this new layer, we will go again to our color palettes and we will select the color with the name, dark purple. When we have this color, we are going to be using the same brush that we were using before. And we will just get back to our canvas and we will start by creating the shapes for our snowman. Firstly, let's just go to our heads and we will recreate the line that we have on our scheme. We can use all the options that we were using before. You can hold your Apple pencil at the end of the line to snap it to a better curve or go to the editing mode and adjust your line from there. Firstly, let's just go over the soap left and we will go and recreate this line that we have right here. We don't need to recreate every line that we have on our layer with this scheme, because we will have some objects that are overlapping one another. So let's just go very gradually and we will start recreating some of these elements. When we have this first line over our left, let's just go to the right and we will go to this intersection that we have our line on the head between the heads that we have for our girl and this little line that we have for a future arm. So let's just go and recreate this line two. Now when we have these two lines, let's just go to the left. And we will step a little bit from the top and we will recreate this line until we reach the horizontal line on the bottom. When we did it, we will go and recreate this horizontal line. Again, you can use all the options that we were using before. Hold your line, adjust the angle if you need to. When you are done, let's just go over our right and we will go a little bit higher where we have this line for our future coat. So let's just go and recreate a line going in that way we can go to the little corners that we have on the bottom and we can smoothen them up. Let's just go, and instead of the very straight corners, we will create the curves. If you need to erase some parts, grab an eraser two and erase the parts that you don't need. Now when we are done with this bottom part, let's just go and add some additional elements. We will go to the middle part of this bottom shape of our snowman, and we will add two elements that will represent some buttons. Firstly, let's just go and find the approximate center of the shape. Will make a little mark down. And we will then go over the top of it. And we will start by creating a shape of the circle, again using the same method that we were using before. We are holding our apple pencil at the end of the line and holding one of our fingers on the screen. It just the size to your liking, You can make it very big or very small. It's all up to you. When you're satisfied with the size of the elements, let's just go underneath it and let's create another ship like that. Again, going a little bit lower than we have our little mark down. And creating a similar ship. You can make it even or you can play around with the shapes. You can go to the editing mode and adjust the placement or the size or anything that you want to play around with. When you're satisfied with the position of these elements and with their size and with everything, let's just go away from our editing mode now. When we are done with these two buttons, let's just go and add a little scarf where we have this end line on our left, on the head. Let's just go and create a line going inside the whole ship. What we need to do is to create something in that way. Try to make it not super straight. If you can go to this little intersection where we have the corner and make it very smooth. If you need to erase some parts, go and erase them. When we are done with these elements, let's just go to this little part where we don't have any lines and we will go and start creating a shape for our scarf. What we need to do is to go a little bit further, a little bit beyond these frames, on these elements. And we will need to go and create a digit three, but it will be inversed. We will need to create something in that way. When you have the result like that, let's just go over the bottom and we will make a parallel curve to what we have right here on the top. So let me just go and continue making the line going in that way, play around with the ship. And if you feel that maybe you want to adjust some parts, maybe make the top part a little bit more flat or maybe make this protruding part less protruding. We can go and use one option that procreate has. We will need to go to our magic one tool or the top plate and we will use the option liquefy. On the bottom, we have this panel and we will need to use the option push. You can see we have some sliders and what we need to do is to go to our slider with size, we will play around with it. We will play rounds with the size of the little tool, and we will just go to the places that we want to adjust, for example, to this protruding part and we will just push it inside. You can play around with the shapes in that way and find what works for you. You can spend some time here and create the elements in the way that you will like them, Adjust the size of this brush tool. And when you are satisfied, let's just go away from this mode by tapping on our magic one tool one more time. Now let's just go and continue creating our scarf. We will firstly go to this intersection between our scarf and the whole body, and we will add some loose ends. So let's just go to this little corner. And from it we will go and create a line going in that way. You can go with a straight line, or if you want to add some flowy effect, you are welcome to add the curve. When you have the little line like that, Let's just go and finish it up on the bottom again, we will create a little curve going in that way. If you want, you can go to this bottom part and add some lines in that way. Now when we are done with this loose part, let's just go to the top and we will start recreating the facial features. What we need to do firstly, is to go to this middle line that we have right here. That is our horizontal line on our first scheme, and we will go a little bit underneath it. Let's just add a little mark down on this line that we have in the middle that is vertical. And when we have this little mark down, we will go and create a triangular shape. That later on we will recover and it will represent the carrot. Let us go and create something in that way you can play around with the position on these elements. If you feel that maybe you did something not that you like, you can always go to this S ribbon icon on the top left. Select three hands method and select this element that you want to change. Just loop it around. When you have only this element selected, you can go to the transform tool which is our k on the top left. We will use uniform method and we can just go and trot it, it, make it bigger, find a different placement for it. Let us go and maybe play around with this element. If you want to rotate your sheep, you will need to go to this green node over the top. Hold your apple pencil there, and make irrotational movements. Find what works for you. If you want to find a different placement, you will need to do the same thing as we are doing at our editing mode. We'll need to go to some blank space on our canvas. Hold our apple pencil, and just drag it to the place that we want. Play around with the sheep, and find what works for you. When you're satisfied with everything Here, let's just go and deselect everything. And we will need to tap on the first tool that we were using, it was our S ribbon icon. When you are done, let's just go underneath this little triangular element and let's add a little smile here. What we need to do is to go and create a curve. Going in that way, you can play around with the size of this element as always, with its curvature, with its placement, with everything that you want to play around with. Find the position and the curvature that works for you. And when you are done, let's just go over the top and let's just at our eyes. Firstly, let's just go over our left side. We will go a little bit higher rather than we have our horizontal line. And we will just go with a very simple shape of the perfectly round circle. Let's just go and create the shape. Hold your line at the end. Hold one of your fingers on the screen, adjust the size to your liking. If you need to adjust the placement, go to the editing mode. Let's just put it in that way. And when you are satisfied with everything here, let's just tap on the screen to get away from our editing mode. Now when we have this first on our left, let's move on to our right part and let's create a different shape for our Y. Let's just go to this line that we have in the middle that our horizontal line. And we will go and create a shape like that. Again, if you need to play around with the shape or with the position on this element. Firstly, we will go to our S ribbon icon free hand method. And we will select the shape that we want to adjust. When it's selected, we are going to our transform tool and we will play around with this element from our transform tool, find the placement. Maybe we will go and rotate it a little bit and we will make a winky face. It's always good to take a look at your illustration from the distance to decide whether you like it or not or whether you need to adjust some parts or not. Zoom out your canvas. Take a look at your illustration and decide whether you want to adjust it more or if you are satisfied with how it looks. Right now, when you are done, let me just go and deselect everything by hitting our ribbon icon. Now again, we will take a look at our illustration from the distance and we will decide whether we like it or not. If you want to adjust some parts, we can just go again to our S ribbon icon, for example. Select all of our facial features and maybe find a different placement for the when they are all selected. We are again going to our transform tool for example. Let's just go and put everything that we have for our facial features a little bit lower. If you want to play around with the rotation or with the size of these elements, you are welcome to go and do that when you're satisfied with everything Here, let's just go and deselect everything by hitting on the first tool that we were using and it was our S ribbon icon. Now we are mostly done with our snowmen. Later on we will add some more details. But now let's move on to our girl illustration. Firstly, let's just go and work onto the head. We will go to this little element that we have on the bottom of the big ellipse and we will turn it into a phase. Firstly, let's just go to the bottom of it and we will recreate the line that we have here. We are overlapping our snowman and we are creating the shape going in that way. When we've reached the ear, we will just go and recreate it too. Now when we have the bottom part of the phase, let's just go to the top and let's work onto the head. We will go a little bit above this line that we have in the middle. We will make a little mark down there, and we will go and make a parallel curve to this line that we have in the middle. Let's just go through the whole shape and create a curve going in that way. We can hold it at the end and we can go to the editing mode and adjust it from here to make it parallel to the line that we have in the middle. When you're satisfied with it, we will just go and elongate it to this element that we have on our top. If you need to erase some parts, we will grab our eraser tool and we will erase the parts that we don't need. Now when we have this ship, let's just go to the top and we will recreate the whole ship that we have on the top. We will turn this whole element to a hat. Let's just go and recreate this curve on the top as always. Hold your line at the end and if you need to adjust your curvature, let's just go to our editing mode and adjust it from here. When we are done, we will tap on the screen and we will get away from our editing mode. Now when we have this element, we will need to add the bottom part of our heat. We will just need to go and create another parallel line to what we have on our bottom. Let's just go step a little bit higher. And we will create another parallel line like that. Adjust it if you need to. And when you are done with it, let's just go over our left side and let's create a little protruding part. What we need to do is to go and create a little curve like that. Again, if you want to, you can work onto the corners and turn them into very soft ones. The same we will do on our opposite side. Again, we will turn this very straight corner into a curve and we will make a little line going beyond the frame. It will be our head elements. If you need to erase some parts, go and erase them. When we have something like that, let's just go over the top and we will add some fluffy elements. Firstly, let's just go to this line that we have right here. From this line we will go more toward the right. Let's just go and make a little mark down somewhere here. When we have it, we will use it as a center for our fluffy part. Let's just go a little bit to the left from it, and we will start creating an element in that way. As always, you can play around with the size of this element. You can play around with the amount of the petals that you are adding. And you just need to find what works for you. If you want, you can take a look at your illustration from the distance and decide whether you like it or not, whether you want to adjust some parts or not, when you're satisfied with everything. Here, let's just go and work onto the hair. Firstly, let's just go over our right part and we will add some loose ends of the hair. Let's just go to the bottom part of the head. Firstly, we will go up with a curve like that. When you have this little curve, we will go down with another curve, but this time it will go down when you have it, we will go underneath the ear and we will create another curve like that. If you want, you can play around with these elements, You can add more of these little details or you can make them longer. Or if you want, you can make them shorter. It's all up to you. You can play around with the position of them. You can play around with the curvature of them. You can play around with everything that you want to play around with. If you need to erase some parts, you know what you need to do. Just go and erase that when we have this hair on our right. Let's just go a little bit to the left from the ear, and we will start adding some fringe. So what we need to do firstly, is to go to this middle line that we have vertically. And we will go from there a little bit to the left, and we will start creating a curve. Going down in that way we are reaching this line that we have in a middle on the horizontal axis. And when we have this first curve, we will just go and continue by creating another one going in the same direction. You can play around with the size of these elements, with the amount, with everything that you want to play around with. When you have these two little loops for the fringe, let's just go create a big element that will be like a longer part of our fringe. What we need to do is to go to the ends on this little element that we have on our right. And we will go in a different direction. We will go create a curve, going in that way. When we have this curve, we will go up with a little curve like that. If you don't want to have very straight corners on the bottom, you are welcome to go and smoothen them up. Now let's just take a look at the illustration from the distance and decide whether we want to adjust some parts or not. For example, we can go to this new little element that we have on our right near the ear. And we can make this curve less curvy. As always, if you need to array some parts, go and array that one more time. Take a look at your illustration from the distance and decide whether you want to adjust some parts, or are you satisfied with everything here? When you're satisfied with everything here, let's just go to the opposite side, and let's continue creating our hair. Firstly, we will go to this line that we have right here in the middle. From this line, we will go with the curve like that to our left when you have it. Let's just go to the bottom part of our head. From it. We will go with a little curve going on the opposite side when you have something like that. Let's just go to the bottom and we will create a curve going to our snowman. Now, one more time, taking at the whole illustration from the distance and deciding whether we like it or not, whether we want to add some elements or whether we want to erase some parts. If you want to add some elements, let's just go and end them. For example, we can go to the bottom part and we can create a curve going in that way. If we don't like it, we can just go and erase that. If we like it, we can keep it as it is later on when we are going to be creating our clean lines. We can just take a look at it one more time and decide whether we like it or not. Now when we have our hair, let's just go and add the facial features. What we need to do is to go underneath this line that we have in the middle, that is our horizontal curve. We will go and firstly, we will add another line on which we will start adding our facial features. Let's firstly go a little bit lower from this line. We'll make a little markdown somewhere here. And we will create a straight line going through the whole shape. When you have the straight line, let's just go and add the ice. We will go to this line that we have just created and we will create the curves like that. Firstly, let's just go over our left side and we will go a little bit closer to this line that we have for our hair. And we will create a curve in that way. You can always play around with the size of this element and with its position. We can just go and create one line like that, or we can go and add a bit of details and add the second line going in that way, we can just go over the top of this line and continue creating a curve going in that way. We are going a little bit higher, but we are creating a similar curve. When you are satisfied with it, let's just go over our right side, and let's create something similar here too. What we need to do is to step from this line that we have in the middle. Just repeat what we have on our left. We are going to this line that we have created. And we are creating our curve there, try to create the curvature that similar to what you have on your left when you have this first curve. Let's just go and create the second one over it. Play around with these elements if you want to, for example. You can go and make this I on the right a little bit bigger. We will go to our ribbon icon free hand method and we will select this whole I. When we did it, we are going against our arrow key. We are using uniform method. And let's just go to one of the corners on the top and we will drag it up. Now let's just make it a little bit bigger and we will need to put it more toward the right side. When you are satisfied with the position of this element and with its size, let's just go and deselect it by heating our S ribbon icon. When we are done, let's just work a little bit more onto our eyes. And firstly, we will just go to the middle parts of them. We will add little eyelashes. What we need to do is to go and find the center of the eye, and then go higher and create a little line like that when you have it on the first eye. Let's just do the same on the opposite one. When we have these two elements, let's just go and add little lines for the leads. Firstly, we will go to one of the eyes, for example, on our right. And we will just repeat the curve that we have for our main eye. We will add it just on the corner when we have it on one side. Let's just do the same on the opposite one. Just try to make the parallel lines not very seen. When you have these elements. Let's just go underneath the eyes and we will add the cheeks. We will just go and create big cheeks in a shape of perfect circles. Let's just go to the right firstly, and we will create a big cheek like that. Hold your line and the end adjusted. If you need to hold one of your fingers on the screen and snap it to a perfectly round circle, if you need to find a different placement for it. Let's just go over the top to the edited modes. And let's position it in that way. We are moving it a little bit toward the right when you have the position in that way. Let's just go away from our edited modes. We will go inside the shape of our cheek and we will add the lines like that when you have it on the right. Let's just go to the left. And let's do the same thing here. Going underneath the eye and creating a perfectly round circle for our cheek. Hold it at the end. Hold one of your finger on the screen. Go to the editing mode, if you need to adjust it on this side, we are making it just a little bit smaller. And again, we are putting it more toward the left side. When you have the position that you like, let just go and add this additional elements inside the shape. When we are done, let me just grab an eraser two and we will erase this line that we have created for our eyes. When we are done, let just go and add the mouth elements. We will go to this middle line that we have vertically. And we will go a little bit lower where we have our eyes. We will go and create a curve like that. When you have this little curve, we will go down and we will create another curve like that. You can play around with this element. You can go and maybe make this curve on the top less curvy. If you want to find a different placement for this element, you are welcome to go firstly to the ribbon icon, Select this element, and then go to the transform tool and find a different placement, maybe different tratition or something that you want to adjust here. When you're satisfied with everything here, let just go and deslect everything by hitting our ribbon icon. If you want to adjust this element even more, you can go to the magic wand tool, Liquefy. And adjust it. With this two, let's just spend some time here and let's create the mouth that we will like. If you want to work on other elements with this two, you are welcome to go and do that. Always take a look at your illustration from the distance, and if you need to adjust something, you will see it from the distance. Now when we are satisfied with everything here, let's just go and deselect our magic 12. And then we will grab our brush one more time and we will go and add some eyebrows. Let's just go over these hair elements. Firstly, we will go over our right parts and we will go and create a little eyebrow like that when we have it on our right. Let's just go to the left part. And let's create another eyebrow right here where we have this triangular sheep. If you want to play around with the shapes on these elements, as always, you are welcome to go and do that. Now when we are done with the whole piece, let's just go to the ear and let's add additional element here. Firstly, we will go to the middle part of it and we will add a little element on the circle or an ellopse. When we have it, we will just go to one of the sides, for example, to the right one. And we will make this part a little bit more prominent when we have something like that. Let's just go and work onto our head a little bit. We will go to the bottom element and we will go through the whole shape and we will add some additional lines here. What we need to do is to create the lines going in that way. When we have these additional lines on our heads, let's just go and add some scarf. Firstly, we will go underneath our head and we will create a curve going in that way. Let's just go to this element that we have on our right part of the face on the snowman. And we will create a curve going up to the ear, We are overlapping our head. And when we have this curve, we will grab the eraser tool and we will erase this bottom part of the head. Now when we have this new curve, let's just go to the bottom of it. And we will create another curve there too. Firstly, we are going to this intersection right here. From it, we will go and create a curve going down in that way. When we have it, we will go and create a curve going up in that way. When we are down, we will go to this little element where we have our curve going up from it. We will just go and create a parallel line to what we have on the top when we have it. In that way we will reach this line that we have on our right that we have on our scheme. Then we will add a similar element to what we have on this curve on our snowman. Again, we are creating digit three. You can make these elements underneath the hair or you can just go and overlap it. It's all up to you. If you overlap the elements, grab an eraser to and erase the part that you don't need. Now when we are done, we will go to this little triangle that we have underneath the head and between our snowmen, and we will add a little line going up. In that way we are creating the second part of our scarf. Now, when we have this scarf on the top, let's just go and work onto our coats. Firstly, let's just go to this line that we have on our right, and we will turn it into a little curve. What we need to do is to mainly go and repeat it, but we will go and create a curve like that. Firstly, we are going over the top of this line and we are creating a little curve looking inside the shape. When we have this little curve, then we will go to the bottom and we will create a curve going down in that way, basically we are creating a very smooth shape. When we have the curve like that, we will go to the bottom of it and we will step a little bit from the bottom. We will need to make a little marking down and then we will go inside and we will create a curve here we need to do next is to grab our eraser to erase this additional line that we have on their site. In that way, we are creating some puffy effect when we have it. Let's just go and repeat this curve that we have on the bottom on the scheme. When we have it, we will go to this little step that we have right here and we will create a parallel line to what we have on the bottom. Now when we have our code elements, let's just go and add the arm. What we need to do is to go to this line that we have right here. And we will go underneath it and we will create a big curve here. Let's just step from this line to somewhere here. And we will just go and create a curve in that hold it at the end. And let's just go to the editing mode and adjust it from here. We will just need a very big curve like that. When you have the curve like that, let's just go over the top and let's continue creating the sleeve. Again, we are getting back to our brush and we will go to the scarf element. And we will just need to go and create a little fold here where we have this little element on our scheme. We will need to go and create a curve going in that way. When you have it, we will go over the top and we will connect it with the scarf. We will go a little bit higher where we have the end of this new line and we will just go and create something like that. If you want to, we can go to the middle part of this element, make a little markdown like that. From this markdown, we will go down with a little curve like that, it will represent the sleeve. When we have these elements, let's just go and continue creating the arm by going to the left side. What we need to do is to go to the end of this element that we have on the bottom. And we will need to create a curve going up in that way when you have it, we will need to go and add some additional elements to that. We will just go and create another parallel line here. Let's make a connection on the top, so we are overlapping our scarf a little bit and we will just go and grab our eraser two, and we will erase this additional element that we have intersected when we have the result like that, let's just go and add some little glove. What we need to do is to create again a digit three, but this time it will look a little bit peculiar. What we need to do is to go to our left side firstly. And we will create a curve going in that way. When we have it, we will go to the right part, and we will add a little smaller element here. Again, we are creating the shape of half of the circle, or half of the ellipse. And we are connecting it with our code and with the first part of our glove. If you have some more overlapping parts, grab an eraser two and erase these parts. Now let's work on our sleeve a little bit more. We will go to the bottom part and we will make it a little bit more puffy. Firstly, let's just go to this intersection right here. And we will go down from it and we will create another curve like that. We are creating a very puffy sleeve when you have it. In that way, let's just grab our eraser to and erase this first line that we have on the top. Take a look at your illustration from the distance. Decide whether you want to adjust it or not. And if you need to adjust it, let's just go and adjust it. You can do it manually, or if you want to, you can go and use the liquefied tool. When you are done with the bottom part of your sleeve, let's just go to this middle part between our coat and our glove. And let's just go and make it puffy too. So we are going to the sides and we are creating the elements in that way. Also, let's just go to this line that we have on the bottom of this element, and let's make it more round it. Grab an eraser tool if you need to erase the parts that you don't need. The same thing we will do with the elements to what we had on our heads. Let's just go and add some lines inside this part. If you want to work on this little curve on the top of the sleeve, you are welcome to go and do that if you want, you can go and make it a little bit more puffy too, for example. We can go higher and create this fold in that way when we're satisfied with everything here, Let's just go and add a little additional element to the bottom of the sleeve. We will step a bit from this line that we have on the bottom and we will just repeat it a little bit higher. Let's just go and create a parallel curve going in that way, if you want, you can go and connect it with this little curve on the top and create an effect like that when we have the new element, let's just go to the fold that we have right here on the top. We will step a little bit from it and we will create a little element in that way. When we are done, let's just go and work onto our scarf one more time. Let's just go and again add the loose end here. What we need to do is to firstly go to the intersection between our scarf and the code go a little bit higher to this bottom part of this digit three from it we will just go and create a curve. In that way, again, you can play around with these elements. You can go and create a very straight line. Or if you want to add the flow effect, go and create a little curve. When we are done with this curve or if you are creating a straight line with the straight line, let's just go and add some thickness to the scarf. What we need to do is to go and create a parallel line on the bottom. Let's just go to this intersection that we have between our puffy part and the bottom part of the code. Let's just go and create a similar line to what we have on our first line for the scarf. When we have the second parallel line, let's just add the shape by connecting these two lines like that, we will just go up and create a little element in that way we are creating this shape and then we will just go and create the very fluffy parts. Again, let's just go and create them in that way. We will go and find the middle part on this curve that we have on the bottom. And we will just go and create a line going down in that way, we will do the same on the top. Let's first go and raise this part that we don't need. Then we will go and create a parallel line here too. Then we will just go to the bottom and create a wavy line like that. If you want to create something similar to what you have on your left, you can go and create additional elements in that way. Now when we are done with this task, let's just go and add the legs. Let's first go to this line that we have going quite vertically. And we will step a bit from it to the right to create a curve going in that way. When we have this curve, we will go to the bottom part and we will start creating a knee. Firstly, let's just go to our little snowmen on the left. From it, we will go and create a curve. Going down in that way, you can see that we are creating quite a curve here. And when we reach the bottom part, we will need to create more straighter ship. Let's just go to this line that we have on the bottom and continue creating our line, going in a more straightway when we have something like that. Let's just go to this little triangular ship and we will create another knee. What we need to do is to go to this little triangular ship, and we will go a little bit higher than we have this line on the bottom. And we will need to create a curve going like that. Let's connect it with our snowman, and also let's connect it with our second knee. When we have the result like that, let's just go to our right and let's continue creating our leg. Firstly, let's just go over our top part where we have this new curve and we will go and continue creating our leg. What we need to do is to go to this little line that we have just created from it. We will go and create a curve going to the right when you have something like that. Let's just go to our bottom part, and let's again create the line there. Firstly, we are going to this line that we already have and we are continuing making it. And then we will go a little bit higher and we will start creating a curve going up. When you have something like that, we are ready to start making a boot. Firstly, let's just go and create a little scheme. We will go closer to this line that we have for our triangle and we will go and create a rectangular shape. What we need to do is to go to this intersection right here. And from this intersection we will go down with a line going in that way. When you have this line, let's just go and continue creating our rectangle. We will just go and create three more lines. When we have the shape, let's just go and start turning it into the boots. Firstly, let's just go over our top and we will turn this very straight line into the curve. We will go a little bit higher than we have our leg. Let's just go and create a curve going in that way. If you want to erase the lines that you had before, you are welcome to go and grab an eraser to and erase these little lines. Now when we have this curve, let's just go toward our right part, and let's start creating a little heel here. What we need to do is to go there and start creating a shape like that. Again, we are starting by creating a little curve, and then when we have it, we will go and create a little dent. When you have something like that, let's just go create this little dent like that. And then we will continue creating the boots, just following the lines that we already have onto our little scheme. You can make straight lines, or if you want, you can go with the curves. When you have the curve going down in that way, when we reach the bottom part, let's just go and create a curve going inside the shape. What we need to do is to create a curve going to the left. When we have it, we will go to the left and we will start creating the bottom part. Let's just go and repeat this line that we already have onto our sc 5. Girl: Clean Lines: Let's begin this part firstly by going to our brush library. And we will change the brush by going to the calligraphy folder. And we will choose monoline brush when we are here at the brush library. Let's just go and adjust our monoline brush just a little bit. We want all of our lines to be very smooth and very clean. Let's just go and adjust one option of the brush. Let's just tap on our monoline brush and we'll go inside the brush studio on the left, we'll go under stabilization. Here on the top, you can see that we have the option streamlined. If we go with a lower amount of streamline to our drawing pad and try to create a line, you will see that we have a lot of control over it, but our line is quite jagged. If we want to have a very smooth line, we can go to the slighter amount and we can adjust the amount of streamline. You can set it at maximum for now, and go again to a drawing path. And try it out. Right now you can see that now we are creating a very smooth line, but we are losing a bit of control over it. You can just go to the slighter amount and you can find the amount of streamline that works for you. Of course, if you don't want to use this option, don't use it. If you want to play around with this option, go and play around with it. And you just need to know that you always can get back to this option and adjust it to your liking later on if you want to. Now when you found the amount of streamline that you like, let's just go over our top right and we will hit down. Now when we have our brush, we will keep the same color that we were using for our Skage, but we will also go to our layers. Firstly, we will go to our layer with the Skage and we will change the capacity of it. Again, we are going to our icon. We are going to our opacity slider. We are grabbing it and we are dragging it toward the left until we still can see what's happening on the layer. But when it's not that bright, find the amount of capacity that works for you. And when you are done, let's just tap on our layer with the Skage to close this window. Now when we set our layer like that, let's just go and create one more layer above that. We will rename as clean lines. When we have it, we will just go and we will recreate the lines that we have here. What we need to do here is to create the closed, and clean, and smooth lines. Closed lines means that we don't need to have any gaps between our lines. Because later on when we are going to be dragging and dropping the colors, we don't need these gaps because they will leak out to the whole canvas. Now very quickly, let's just go and recreate all the lines that we have on our skitch. Also, if you want to play around and when you are creating your lines, you decided that maybe you want to adjust some parts. You are welcome to go and do that. You don't need to recreate everything with 100% of similarity to what you have on your skitch. Now let us go and create our lines. Now when we have all the main lines made, let's just go to our layers. And we will hide our layer with this cage just for 1 second. We will take a look at everything here and we will see whether we need to adjust some parts, whether we need to add some additional elements, maybe is some parts. Let's just go and make sure that all of the outside lines are closed. The lines that you have inside your shapes might have some gaps or some additional elements. For example, like what we have on our sleeve, because they are not involved in a coloring process. Now let's just take a look at everything and decide whether we need to adjust some parts. If let's just go and do that to make all the lines very nice and smooth and try to make nice and smooth connections between the shapes. Now when you are done, let's just go and take a look at our sketch one more time. You can see that we haven't added any lines to the cheeks or to the bottom part, or to these additional elements floating around our shapes. That's because later on we will just end the color here and these parts will be without any lines. Now when you're satisfied with all of your lines and when you've made sure that all of them are closed, let's move on to our next part, where we are going to be aiding our base colors. 6. Girl: Basic Colors: Start with this part. Firstly, let's just get back to our lier and we will unhide our layer with basic scheme. We will go then and we will create one more layer and we will put it underneath our layer with the clean lights. When you have the new layer, we will hold it and we will drag it down underneath our clean lights. Let me just go entran this layer as Circo. When you have it, we will go to our color palettes and we will select this pink orange color. With this pink orange color, we will go to the circle that we have on our scheme and we will recreate it with the same brush. Let's just go and create the shape. Use the same options that we were using before. Just create the shape with one line and hold it at the end. Hold one of your fingers on the screen to make sure that you are creating a perfectly round circle. If you need to adjust it, go to the editing mode and adjust it from here, for example, if you need to move it or if you need to make it smaller or bigger. When you're satisfied, go away from the editing mode and let's just drag and drop the color inside this shape when we have it. Let's just get back to our layers and one more time we will create one more layer above this layer with the circle. Let's just go name this layer as bottom part. When we have this layer, we will go to our color palettes. And we can select any one of these bluish colors. For example, let's just go with light grayish C and blue. And we will just go to this bottom part and we will recreate this paddle elements when you have the shape made. Let's just go and drag and drop the color inside. If you want to go and add some additional elements to this little part, you are welcome to go and do that to see what you are doing. If you have some additional elements on this Skage, you can just go to your lis, find the layer with the Skage and drag it up above this layer with bottom part. Again, we are going to our lies, we are holding our layer with the Skage and we are dragging it higher. Now we have this little additional elements on this puddle element. Let's just go again to our color palettes and let's select this white color with the white color. Firstly, let's make sure that we are at the right layer. We need to go to our bottom part layer When we are in this layer and when we have our white color, let's just go and recreate these little fluffy parts. If you want to go and add more details like this, you are welcome to go and do that when you are satisfied with your bottom elements. Let's again go to our layers and we will create one more layer for our next elements. For example, let's just start working onto our snowman. We will go and create one more layer above, and we will rename this layer as Snowman. Now we can use the lines that we have made for adding the color to these elements that we want to add the color to. Firstly, let's just go and hide our lier with this cage because we don't need it anymore. And we will need to get back to our layer with the clean lines. And we will need to set this layer as reference. Let's just tap on the layer, and from this list we will choose reference. Now when we set our layer with clean lines as reference, we can go to any layer. And we can use the lines on this layer to drag and drop the color to the elements that we have on our layer. With clean lines, what I mean is if we go to our layer with snowman, and if we drag and drop the color to this bottom part of it, we are using our lines. Now let's just go and drag and drop the color to the top part. When we've added the color as snowman, let's just go above this layer with our main color and we will add the details on the new layer. We will go again and create one more layer above our layer with Snowman, and we will already name it as details. Let's just go firstly to our color palettes. And we will select dark grayish purple color. With this dark grayish purple color, we will go to the eye and to the buttons, and we will add the color to these elements. When we did it, let's just go and add the color to our scarf. Again, we're going to our color palettes and we will select any red or orange color that you like. For example, let's just go with this orange color. When you have the color, let's just go and drag and drop it to the needed places. When you are satisfied with this result, let's just go and add the color to the nose. Again, we're going back to our color palettes and let's just go and find some orange color. For example, orange, red, or red, orange. Select one of these colors, and let's just go inside the shape and manually we will add the color to it when we are done. Let's continue by going to our layers and we will create one more layer. This layer we will rename as fats. When we have this layer, let's just go and select the color for our face. You can go and select the color from beach, light, greyish, red, orange, or light beach. Select one of these colors and let's just drag and drop it to the face. When you are done, let's just get back to our color palettes and let's select the color for our mouth elements. Go with any color that is suitable. So something like red, orange, red, pink, cred, red, orange, brick, red. Or if you want, you can go and pick the same color that we were using for our background color. Let's just go to this pink, orange color and we will firstly go and drag and drop it to our mouth elements. When we did it, we can just go and change the color of our background. It's not that intense and it's not matching with the color of our mouth. How can we do that? We can go to our layers and we will need to find our layer with the circle. Let's select it, let's tap on it. And from the list, we will again choose select. Now you can see that only this area is selected. For example, let's just go to our color palettes. Let's select the color with the name Beach. When we have the color on our icon on the top right, we will need to get back to the spanel on the bottom and we'll need to select the option color field. Now we can see that easily, we've changed the color of our background. Now let's just go and deslect everything by hitting our S ribbon icon. And then we'll continue adding the details to our illustration. Firstly, let's just get back to our layers. Let's just go to our layer with the face, and then we'll create one more layer above to rename it as hair. Now when we have this new layer, let's just get back to our color palette. Let's select dark grayish purple color, or any color that you would like to use for your color of the hair. When you are done, let's just go to the hair area and let's recolor it. Now when you are done with the hair, let's just get back to our layers. And again, we will create one more layer for our head and for our scarf. Let's just go and tap on the plus icon, and let's rename it accessories. Now we will get back to our color palettes and let's select the same orange color that we were using for our scarf on our snowman. We are selecting our orange color. And with this color, let's just go to the head and to our scarf on the girl. And let's add the color here if you want to add different colors to some of the elements. For example, to the fluffy parts on the top, or to these elements that you have at the end of the scarf. You are welcome to go and add a different color. When you are done, let just go again and the same layer and with the same color to our little gloves. And let's add it to the areas too. When we are done with this task, let's just get back to our liers. Let's create one more layer and we will rename it as coat when we have a new layer. Let's just get back to our color palette. And let's select light blue color if you want to use any other color for this part, you are welcome to go and select it. When you have the color again, let's just go and drag it to the areas that we need to recolor. When you are done, let us get back to our liers, and let's create one more layer for the pants. Get back to our color palettes, and again, select the color that you would like to use for the pants. For example, let's use the same color that we were using for the here, dark grayish purple. When we have it, just drag and drop it to the needed places. Now we will get back to our layers one more time to create a layer for the boots. When we have the layer, let's just get back to our color palettes and let's find the color with the name pink. We will get to this color and we will drag it to our boots. Now when we have the basic colors for these elements, let's just go again to our layers and we will create one more layer for the miscellaneous objects onto this layer. Let's just go entry color our additional elements on the top. Firstly, let's just go to our color palettes. And let's go and select the color with the name Red. With this color, we will go and recolor our hearts. And when we have the hearts recolored, let's just go and select white color. When we have this white color selected, let's just go to these areas and we will recolor them. Now as you can remember on our skitch, we had additional elements. Let's just get back to the layers and let's just unhide our layer with the skitch on the same miscellaneous layer. Let's just go and add white color to these little circles. We will just go and increase the size of our brush and we will go and put the doors to these places that we have on our skitch. If you want to add more details with this color, you are welcome to go and do that when you're satisfied with everything here. Let's just get back to our layers. We will hide our layer with this cage and also we will just go and hide our layer with basic scheme. Now let's just take a look at everything here and decide whether we want to adjust something or not. And if we are satisfied with how it looks. Right now, let's just get to our next part, where we are going to be adding the additional elements such as beautification shadows and maybe some highlights. 7. Girl: Shadows, Highlights & Beautification: Let's begin this part firstly by adding the cheeks. Let us get back to our layers. And we will need to go and find our layer with the face. Firstly, we will go and create one more layer above our layer with the face. So let just tap on the plus icon. And let's rename this layer as details. We want to end the details only on the existing areas that we already have on our previous layer. So we don't want to get beyond the frames. We will just need to go to the layer with the details and we will need to clip it to our previous layer. To do so, we will need to tap on our lier with the details. And we will need to choose clipping mask from the least. When we did it, you will see that we have a little arrow look into our face. That's exactly what we need. Now when we have this layer, let's just get back to our color palettes and let's select the color with the name. Light pink also. Let's just get back to our layers and we will unhide our layer with this cage to know where we need to put our additional elements. When we have our layer with this cage, we are making sure that we are at the layer with the details. We are going to our brush, we are increasing the size of it and we will just go to the areas and we will put the dots. When you are done with the cheeks, let's decrease the size of our brush. And we will go to the inner part of the ear, and we will add the same color here. Now when we are done, let's just get back to our color palette one more time. And let's just go and select some color that we can use for these additional elements. On the cheeks, for example, let's just go either with red, orange, red, or pin red color. Let's select one of them. Let's decrease the size of our brush and we will go and repeat these additional elements that we have on our Skech. When we are done very accurately, we will go to the mouth and we will go to the top or left part of it. And we will add a little additional element here too. So firstly, we will one more time go to our color palettes and we will select some darkish color, for example pin Cred or magana. When we have this color, we will just go to the S corner. And very accurately we will go and add an additional element like that, just recoloring this triangular shape on the top left. When we are done, let's just go again to our layers. Let's just hide our layer with the skitch. When we are done with this task, let's just go to our snowman layer. And we will create one more layer above it. Again, to create the cheeks, let's just tap on the plus icon. And let's remain this layer as cheeks. If you want, you can clean this layer to a previous one. Let's just tap on it. And let's select Clipping Mask again. We will go to our color palette and we will select our light. Then we will go underneath our eyes and we will do the same thing as we did with our girl. Let's just go in criticize of our brush. And let's put the cheeks there if you want. You can go to the layers and you can go and play with the opacity on this layer to make it not that intense. Find what works for you. If you don't want to change the intensity of this color, you are welcome not to go to the apalider. If you want to play around with the opacity, you are welcome to go and do that. Now when we are done with the cheeks, let's just go and add additional elements to our scarves. Firstly, let's just go and find the first layer with our details. It was our snowman. We have this layer with details and we will need to go and start adding the details on this layer with the details. We can do it on the same layer, or again, we can go and create one more layer above. Let's just go and do it on a separate layer. Select the layer with the details and then let's create one more layer about it. Let's just rename this layer as stripes. Again, let's just clean this layer to a previous one. So taping in it and selecting clipping mask. When we did it, we will go back to our color palette and let's select a light greyish, red orange color. With this color, we will go to the area that we have for our scarf. We will go and add some stripes. Let's firstly go and decreticize of our brush. And let's create some pattern here. You can go with any direction that you like and add additional elements to your liking. When you are done with this task, let's just go and add some additional elements, some pattern to another scarf. Firstly, we are going to our accessories layer that we have for our accessories on the girl. Let's just go and create one more layer above it and we will rename it as Stripes or Details. Again, let's just clean this layer to a previous tapping and select and clipping mask. Now let's just go to the scarf and add our stripes or any other pattern that you like when you are done with the scarf, let's just go to our head and let's add some additional elements here too. For example, we can go over the top part of our heads and we can add some stripes there too. Or if you want, you can go and add any other pattern that you like. When we are done with adding the additional elements, let's just go and start adding some shadows. Firstly, let's just get back to our layers. And again, let's just go to the bottom and we will start adding our shadows. From there, we have our snowman layer at first, let's just go to our layer with the cheeks that we have for our snowmen. And above it, we will again create one more layer. Let's rename this layer as shadows one more time. We want to end the shadows only on the existing areas that we have on our previous layer. Let's just clip this layer to a previous one. Tapping and selecting clipping mask. Also, we will just need to go and change the blending modes of this layer. Blending modes are different ways your layers can interact with each other. By changing the blending modes, you can add different visual effects. To end the shadows, we will need to use multiply blending modes. To change the blending mode, we will need to go to our icon and find it from the list. Let's just go and find multiply. As for the capacity for now, we can keep it at maximum and then we can get back to this option and we can adjust it later on. Now let's just tap on our lead with the shadows to close this window. And then we will get that to our color palette and we will select some bluish color. You can select the same color that you were using for the bottom part or any other color that you can find here. Let's select one of these colors, and let's first go over our bottom right part. And we will start adding the shadow here. Let us go and repeat the shape of our snowman. By creating a first curve like that, You can use all the options that we were using before. You can hold your apple pencil at the end on the line to snap it to a better shape. If you want, you can go to the editing mode and adjust it from here. When you have the shape like that, let's just go to the bottom part and let's continue creating our shadow here. We will go more toward the bottom part and we will again create a curve going through the whole ship. Let's connect it nicely with our ship on our right, and let's create a smooth connection between that. Now when you have it, let's just go and create an outline going along the whole shape on our right. And then we will drag and drop the color inside when you have this outline. And when you try to drag and drop the color inside the shape, you won't have the result that you like. Because we will need to go to our layers. And we will need to go to our layer with clean lines. And we will need to turn off reference. So let's just tap on this layer and let's choose reference from the list. When you did it, we will get back to our layer with the shadows, and now if you drag and drop the color to the place that you want to recolor, you will have a successful result. Now when we have this big shadow on our right, let's just go and put a little shadow underneath our scarf. We're just going there and repeating the shape of our scarf when we have the shadow on the top, let's just go to this corner that we have on the top, and let's smoothen them up. We will just go and create a curve instead of this very straight corner. Now when we have it, if you want, you can go underneath the buttons and you can add little shadows to them too. What we need to do is to go right underneath these little elements and repeat the shape. When we have something like that. We will go to the top of our snowman, to the head, and we will add the shadow here too. Let's again go over our right part, and we will go more toward the bottom part. Let's just go and repeat the shape of the head. Firstly, we are creating a little curve going up. You can hold it at the end if you want to adjust it, you can go to the ten mode and adjust it from here. Find the amount of shadow that you would like to add here. When you are satisfied, let's just go and either manually adjust this additional area that we have on the bottom, the color here, or if you want, you can go and create the outline going through the whole shape on the right and then drag and drop the color inside. Also, we can just go underneath the head of the girl and add a little shadow here too. If you have a little corner, we can just go there and we can adjust it. Try to make everything very smooth and very rounded because in that way you will have a cutter illustration. Now let's just take a look at our illustration from the distance and let's decide whether we want to adjust the opacity of our shadow. Probably we want to change it. Let's just get back to our lies. We will go to our lie with the shadows. We will go to our M icon and we will play with the apacity. Let's make it less intense. And when you are satisfied with the amount of opacity, if you would like to change the color of your shadows, we can easily do that. We will need to go to our magic quanto. We will go under hue satration and brightness. And when we are add the hue stration and brightness option, you can see on the bottom we have the sliders, for example, We can go to the hue slider and we can go and find a different shade of the blue or any other shade that you would like to add for the shadow. You can play around with the hue slider, and you can play around with the saturation and brightness with everything that you can find here. Find what works for you. If you want to change the color of the shadow, then let's just go and deslect everything by heating our magic one to one more time. Now, when we are done with the shadow on our snowman, let just go and add the shadow to the scarf that our snowman has. Let's firstly go to Li with the details as we have R with the stripes above it. Let's select Arly with the stripes and above it again, we will create one more layer. Let's rename it as Shadows one more time. Let's clip this layer to a previous one. Tap in selecting clipping mask and then we are going to our icon to select multiply blending mode. As for the opacity, you can keep it at maximum for now and change it later on. Now let's just tap on our shadows layer. And we will go to our color palettes to select some color that we can use for our shadow. For example, we can go either with magenta or any red color that you can find here. Let's first select the magenta color. And if we don't like it, we will go to our utration and brightness and we will change it later on. Now when we have our color, let's just go to the bottom right part and we will start adding our shadow here. Let's just go and start creating our first curve. When you have something like that, let's just go to the bottom part and let's add the shadow here. You can do it manually or go around and create the outline and then drag and drop the color inside. We can definitely say that this shadow is too bright. So let's just get back to our Lias. Go into Urli with the shadows. Go into the M icon and playing with the opacity slider. Find the amount that works for you. And when you're done, let's continue adding our shadows. Let's go to this intersection that we have on our left, where we have our little digit three inversed. And we will go to this middle part of it and we will add a little shadow there. You can go through the whole shape and create the shadow in that way. Or you can go and make it thicker on the left, a little bit thinner on the right. Play around with the shadow. Or maybe you can just go to the left part and create a little shadow on the left, not going through the whole shape, find what works for you and play around. We also will need to go to our right part, and we will need to add a little shadow underneath the head and underneath this little glove. Firstly, let's just go and repeat the shape of the glove. And then we will go underneath the head and we will add a little shadow on the right if you have very straight corners, let's just go and turn them into the curves. When you have the result like that, let's just go to the free end that we have on our left. And let's add the shadow here too. Firstly, we'll go to the top part and we will add the shadow, repeating what we have on our top. We will have something in that way. And then we will go over our right part. And again, we will repeat the shape of our snowman. As for the bottom part, you can go a little bit toward the left and create a curve going outside. When we have the result like that, let's continue adding our shadows. Firstly, let's just go to our layers and let's check out what layer we have next. This is our layer with the face. Let's just go and add the shadows to the face. We don't need to add too much on the shadows, We will just go to the top part on the face where we have our hair and we will add the shadows here. Let's just go to the details that are clipped to our layer with the face. And from here we will create one more layer. Let's rename it as shadows. Again, let's just clip it to our previous layer. Tapping, selecting, clipping mask, go into our icon. And selecting multiply, blending mode for the capacity. Let's keep it at maximum for now. And then we will get back to it and we will change it now. Let's just get back to our color palettes and let's select this base color. We will go to the top part and we will start adding the shadow on this top layer where we have a little triangle on the left. Just go and repeat the whole ship when we have something like that. Let's just go to the hanging parts that we have in the middle and we will just go underneath them and repeat the shapes. When we did it, we will continue going to our right and creating the shadow, just repeating the lines that we have on our hair. Also, we can just go to the right part and do the same thing here. Now when we have something like that, we will need to get back to our layers and we will just go and change the capacity of the shadow. Let's just go and make it less saturated. Now when we are done with the shadow, let's continue by going to our layer with the hair. And let's add the shadow to it too. Now, selecting our layer with the hair, creating one more layer above, and renaming it as shadows. Let's clean this layer to a previous one. Let's go to our icon and change the blended mode to multiply as for the opacity keeping at maximum for now. And then we will get back and change it later on. Now when we have this layer going back to our color palette and let's select either the same color that we were using for our main color on the hair, dark grayish purple. Here, we can just go and select the color with just the name, grayish purple when we have the color selected, let's just go again underneath the head firstly. And we will repeat the shape of the botta when you have the shadow going in that way. Let's just go to this little hair part on the right and let's create a smoother curve here if you want, you can grab an Erasor two and thin up this shadow on the right. And when you are done with this task, let's just go again to our shadows. And let's adjust the opacity one more time. Let's just keep it 30-40% And when you are done, let's just go and continue aging our shadows. Now, getting back to our brush, and firstly, we will go to this bottom part that we have on our right. We will go underneath the ear and we will go and start aging the shadow here. Let's just go to the bottom. And let's just repeat the lines that we have here. When we have something like that, we will go to this little part that we have on the top. We will go to this intersection and we will go to the bottom from it. And repeat the line that we have on the bottom. Now let's just go to this part that we have on the bottom of the bottom of the hear, and we will recolor it manually. Also, when we are done with this part, let's just go to the shape that we have above the ear. And we'll go and add a little shadow here too. What we need to do is to go to this little part and create a little triangular shape like that when you have it, we will just go to the triangle inside of it and we will shade it if you want, you can go to the parts that we have in the middle as a fringe. And we can add the shadows here too. What we need to do is to go to the bottom part and just repeat the shapes that we have for these parts, and we will do the same with the hair on our left. Let's just go to this little fold that we have right here. And again, we will just go and create a little triangular shape. Let's just go and shade it. When we are done, we will go to the bottom of the hair, and again, we will go and repeat the curve that we have on the bottom manually. Let's just go and recolor the bottom part. If you want to, you can go to this little part that we have on our left, a little bit higher. We can add a shadow on the bottom part. To now, let's just take a look at the shadows that we have on our hair and let's grab ser tool to make the nice shadows from them. What we need to do is to go to the little tails that we have for our shadows. And let's just go and thin them up. When you are done, let's continue adding our shadows to other elements. Let's go to our layers. And let's see, what next do we have? We had the layer with the accessories. Let's just go and add the shadows to the accessories. Let's just go to the layer that is clipped to our accessories. This is our layer with the details. From here, we will go and create one more layer above that will rename as shadows. One more time, let's just click this layer to a previous one. We will go to our icon and change the blending mode to multiply, keeping apacity at maximum for now. And then we will go to our color palettes and select again our magenta color. Or if you want to play rounds and find a different color for the shadow for these elements, you are welcome to go and do that. Now let's just go to our head, and let's start from here. Firstly, let's just go to the flappy parts that we have on the top. And let's just go to the bottom right part of it. We will go and create a peculiar shadow here. Let's just go and create something like that when we have it. Let's just go to the bottom part and let's create our shadow. Again, we can say that our shadow is too intense. Let's just get back to our lis and let's just find the capacity that will work better. Again, something 30-40% will work perfectly when you are done with this shadow. Let's just go to our head and we will go again to the bottom right part. Let's just go to the middle part on the bottom. And from it we will go up in that way, let's firstly create our little curve. And then we either can go and create an outline and drag and drop the color inside. Or just manually recolor this area if you want, you can go to this part that you have on the bottom and to make sure that it is some protrudin, you can go a little bit toward the left with your shadow. What we need to do is to create something in that way. We are repeating the direction on the shadow, but we are going a little bit to the left. When we are done with this part, let's just go to the scarf and let's add the shadows to the scarf. Firstly, let's just go inside this part and we will shade it completely. We will then go to our scarf on the bottom, and we will start creating a shadow in that way. When we have the curve like that, we will go to the bottom and we will shade it. Then we will create this fault, let's just go either above it or underneath it. And let's create a line going through the whole shape. Again, you can play around with the thickness of this element. When you are done playing around with this fault, let's just go to the bottom and let's add the shadow to the bottom right part. Again, if you have straight corners, let's just go and smoothen them up. We also can go a little bit higher from this part, and we can add a shadow to this right part too, when we have something like that. Let's just go to this hanging part on the scarf on the right. And let's add the shadow here too. We can go and put the complete shape of this scarf into the shadow. Or we can go and play around and find something different. For example, let's just go from the top and create a curve going like that. We have this curve, we will go to the left part and we will add the shadow. If you want to play around even more, you are welcome to go and do that when we are done with the scarf. Let's just go and add the shadows to our gloves. Again, we are going more toward the bottom right part and we are just repeating the curves that we have on this bottom. Firstly, let's go to this glove that we have more in the middle of our illustration. Let's just go and start by creating a curve like that. When you have it, let's just go to the bottom and let's add our shadow. Then we will go to our left part. And we will add the shadow here too. Again, going more toward the bottom part and repeating the curve that we have on the bottom. If you want, you can go a little bit higher and add the shadow underneath our snowman. Just very easily go and repeat the ships. Now if you want, you can get back to your layers and play around with the capacity of the shadows on these elements. Find what works for you and when you are done, let's continue adding the shadows to the codes. Firstly, selecting our layer with the coates, and again, creating a layer above it. Let's rename it as shadows. Let's clip it to a previous layer. Let's go to our icon and change the blending mode to multiply. When we are done, we are getting back to our color palette and let's select some bluish color. You can pick the same color that you were using for your snowman or for this element that we have on the bottom, or select a different one. Let's just go and select one of these bluish colors. And again, if we don't like it, we can change it later on through huge satration and brightness. When you have the color, let's just go to the sleeve and we will go and create a shadow going in that way. We will connect it with this line that we have in the middle part of our code. When we have it, we will just go to the bottom part and we will recolor it when we have something like that. We also will need to go to the part that we have underneath the sleeve, and we will need to add the shadow here too. Let's just go and start adding the shadow going in that way. When we have the curve, we will go underneath the sleeve and we will recolor this whole area also. Let's just go and change the size of our brush and we will go underneath this line that we have on the bottom. And we will just go and repeat it here again. If you have some very straight corners, turn them into the curves. If you want to change the thickness of this element of the shadow on the sleeve, you are welcome to go and select the eraser tool and erase the part that you don't need when we have something like that. Let's just go to this little element that we have on the top and let's recolorate too when we have the shadow here, let's just go and end the shadow on the top underneath our scarf. We will start by going to this little line that we have in the middle. Again, we will start by creating a little triangular shape, and then we'll continue by going underneath our scarf. When you have the curve like that, let's just go and recolor it. Now let's just go to the part that we have underneath the scarf on our right, and we will just go and repeat the curve that we have here. Now when we have the shadow like that, let's just go to this part of the sleeve that we have near our glove and we will do the same thing as we did with our hat. Let's just go and create a little shadow going in that way. We can also go to this little part on the shadow underneath it, and we can create a shadow going in that way. Now when we are done with this part, let's just go to our bottom part of the coat and we will add a little shadow right here. We also can go to this part on the sleeve that we have thick. And we can go and create a little loop like that, the same way as we have on the top. Now when we have done this, let's just go to this part that we have on our left and let's put it completely in the shadow. Now when we are done with our coat, let's continue by going to our layers. And we will select our pants again. We will create a layer above. We will rename it as shadows. We are clipping this layer to a previous one. We are going to our icon and changing the blending mode to multiply. Let's then go to our color palette. And let's select our pin color. With this color, we will go to the top part of our pants and we will create a shadow going in that way. Firstly, when we have something like that, we will also put the whole leg that we have on our left in the shadow. We will also go to the top part and we will add the shadow going in that way. We can say that this shadow is two intense. So let's just get back to our lives and we will change the capacity of this shadow. Let's keep it at something 20-30% When you are done with this task, let's just get back to our canvas and let's add a little shadow into these little parts. Also, let's just go to the top part and let's create a shadow right here. Now when we are done with this task, one more time, getting back to our liyers and going above our layer with the boots, with our new layer that will rename as shadows. Let's clip it and let's go and change the blending mode to multiply one more time. Let's just go to the bottom part firstly, and we will start creating a shadow in that way. We also will go to the top part, and we will create a shadow going in that way too. We will connect these two lines together. Then we will go and shade it just with our hand. Now, one more time, let's just get back to our layers. We will go to our M icon and we will change the opacity to the amount that we will like. Again, something between 25% 45% will work perfectly. When we are done, let's just go and end the shadow. Underneath our whole illustration, what we need to do is to go and find our lay with the bottom part again. We will create a layer above it. Let's rename it as Shadow. Let's clip it to a previous layer. Let's go to our icon and change the blending mode to multiply. Let's just go to our color palettes and select some darker blue tone, for example grayish and blue or just blue. When we have it, we will go underneath our elements and we will go and create the shadow going in that way. Let's just go a little bit beyond the frames of our snowman on the left. Then we will just go and continue creating the line going to the right when we have something like that. If you want, you can go and change the capacity if you need to, or you can just go and play around with the shape of the shadow. When you're satisfied with the shadow, let's just go and add a couple of highlights. What we need to do is to go above all the layers that we have for our coloring. Let's just go above our miscellaneous objects. Let's create one more layer that will rename as highlights. We will go to our icon, and we will change the blending mode to overlay. Now let's just go to our color palettes. And let's decide where we want to add our highlights and what color we can use. For example, we will add the highlights to the hair and to the top of the head, and maybe to some accessories. Let's just go and select some neutral color. For example, something like light base will work perfectly. Now when we have this color selected, let's firstly go to our Here, let's decrease the size of our brush. And we will go to the areas where we don't have our shadows. And we will just go and add a few dots like that. You can vary the size of your brush and try not to overdo. Just add a few of these little elements when you are done with this part. Let's just go to our top part of the head. And let's just add a few highlights there too. We can go with simple shapes like dots or maybe some lines. And let's just go and create something in that way. We also will go to this fluffy part, and we can add some highlights there too if you want. You can go to the top part of this bottom part of the head and you can go through the whole shape with a little highlight like that. Basically what we are doing is going to the opposite side from our shadows and adding a few highlights in that way. When we are done with the head, let's just go to the scarf, and let's add little highlight there too. When you are done with the scarf, let's just go to our mitten. And let's just add a few highlights there too. You can go through all of the objects and add highlights to them. Just remember that you will need to put a few of them and you will need to put them on the opposite sides from your shadows. When you are done with the highlights, let's just go and change the color of some of the lines. What we need to do is to go two layer with clean lines and create one more layer above it. Let's rename it as recoloring the lines. We will clean this layer to a previous one and we will keep our normal blending modes. When we are done, let's just go and start adding the different color to some of the elements. For example, let's just go and start by adding a different color to the inner part of our heads. We will firstly go to our color palettes and we will select a darker color to what we have as a main color right here. Let's just go and select the color with the name Brick Red. With this color, we will go to the inner lines that we have here and we will just go above them and recolor them. If you feel that maybe this color is not enough and you want it to be a little bit darker, you can go again to your color palette. Then on the bottom, you can go and select the option Disc. When you are here at the disc option, you will see your color panel on the bottom in a small format, but also you will see this round shape on the top to this middle part of the color wheel. And we will drag it a little bit more toward the bottom right. We will have a darker version of this color that we had before with this color. Let's just go and try it out one more time to recolor these elements. You can keep the lines that you have outside with the color that we had before, recolor all of the lines that you have inside with a different color, or you can go and mix the colors and create something in that way. Let's just go to the top two and let's recolor the line. We also will go through all of these shapes that we have for our scarves. If we have some lines inside, we can just go and recolor them the same color. We can go to our mouth elements and we can recolor the lines here too. Also, we can recolor these parts on the eyes too. If you feel that maybe it's too intense, you can always get back to your colors. Select the color that you had before from your color palette, or try out to select a different color from the color wheel. When you are done with the scarf elements, let's just go again to our colors and let's recolor the lines that we have inside the code Again, let's just go and select some bluish color. And if we don't like it, we can go to our wheel and we can change it from here. Firstly, let's just go and select the color that we have in our color palette. And we will just go above these elements that we have inside and we will recolor them. If it's not dark enough, we will get back to our color wheel and we will change the color from here. If you want to change the hue, go outside this element that you have inside the color wheel and change the hue. When we are done with this task, let's just go to the nose that we have on our snowman. Let's again go and select the color that will be a little bit darker. Let's just go and try one color that we have on our color palette. We will just go and try it out on our elements. And if it's not enough, we will go to our color wheel and we will go and make it more intense. When we are done, let's just go and recolor the elements that we have on our top part. Let's just go and select a darker color for our hearts. And let's just go above them and let's recolor the lines. As for this element that we have on the top, which is white, let's just go and select the white color and let's recolor it. Now let's just take a look at our illustration from the distance, and if you like it, we are done with this first illustration. 8. Boy: Scheme: Let's begin working onto our second illustration from some tiny preparations. Firstly, we will go to our brush library. We will go to the sketching folder, and again, we will select the same brush that we were using before for our first illustration, for our sketch and scheme part. When we are done with this task, let's just get back to our layers and we will go and put all of these layers that belong to our first illustration into a group. To do so, we will need to go and select every layer that belongs to our first illustration. When the first layer is selected, we will go to the next one and we will swipe it from left to right. Let's just go and do it with every layer that belongs to our first illustration. When we have everything selected, we will go over our top right and we will hit group. Now when we did it, if we go to the top of our layers panel, you will see that now we have a new group. Let's just go to it. We will tap on it and we will rename it as Girl. Now to make everything clean into our layers, let's just go and collapse the whole group. We will need to go to this little V icon near the checkbox and we will just tap on it. When we did it, you will see how clean everything is right now into our layers and let's just go and hide this group. To have the room for our second illustration, we will need to go to our little check mark and we will need to tap on it when we did it. Let's just go and turn on the layer with our basic scheme. When we have it, let's just go and create one more layer above our group with the curl and let's rename it as scheme. Now when we have this new layer, let's just get back to our color palettes and let's select some dark color to create our scheme. For example, we can take the same color that we were using before. It was our dark purple when we have our color, when we have our group and when we have our new layer. Let's just start creating some basic elements that later on we will turn into this sage and our whole illustration. Firstly, let's just go over our right part and we will start creating our snowman. We will go to the bottom and we will start by creating a shape of the perfectly round circle. Let's just go and start creating it somewhere here. We will just go with one line and create the shape at the end. As always we are holding it. And we also will hold one of our fingers on the screen to snap it to a perfectly round shape. When we have the result like that, let's just go over the top to our editing mode and let's position this element a little bit differently. What we need to do is to move it a little bit down. We will have this bottom part the same way as we have it on our first illustration. When you have the result like that, let just go and tap on our screen to get away from the edited mode. And then we will go over the top and we will create another shape of perfectly round circle. Let just go on top of this first shape. And again, we will start creating the shape just with one line. Hold it at the end. Hold one of your fingers on the screen. Make it a little bit smaller than your shape on the bottom. Again, let's just go over the top to our editing mode to adjust the placement of this element. Let's make it just a little bit smaller, even more. We will just go between the nodes and we will drag it down. Let's have something like that when we have it, let's just put it a little bit closer to our middle line. So we will just hold our apple pencil at the screen and we will move it in that way when you have something like that. Let's just get away from our edited modes by tapping on our screen. When we are done, let's just go to the top shape that we have for the head of our snowman. And we will go and create a middle line that we will create in a curve version. Let's just go and create the curve going through the middle part of the shape. As always, at the end of the line, hold your apple pencil. If you need to adjust the placement and angle on this line, just hold your apple pencil at the end and adjust it. When you are done. We will go over our top to the edited mode to position this element a little bit differently. What we need to do is to have the ship on the left a little bit smaller than our ship on the right. We are dividing our ship in that way. When you have something like that, let's just tap on the screen and get away from our edited mode when we have something like that. Let's just go to the bottom part where we have our straight horizontal line. And let's just step a little bit higher from it and create another horizontal line going through the whole ship. Let's just go and create it in that way. As always, hold your line and the end, adjust the angle if you need to. If you need to adjust it even more, go to the edited mode and adjust it from here. Now when we have the, let's move on to our left part. And let's again start by creating the head elements. Firstly, let's just go to our top left and we will create a big circle there. Let's just go and create something in that way, the same way as before. With one line we are creating our shape, holding it, holding one of our fingers. And then we'll go over the top to the edited mode to adjust the placement of the elements. Let's make it a little bit bigger. Firstly, we are going right between the nodes and dragging it up. Then we will hold our apple pencil and we will drag the whole shape a little bit higher. We are overlapping the shape that we have for the head of our snowman. Let's just have something in that way. When we are done with positioning these elements, let's just tap on the screen, and let's go and create another shape of a perfectly round circle. And we will put it to the bottom part of this first shape. Let's again go and create the shape in that way. As always, holding it at the end, holding one of our fingers. And then we will go over the top to the edited modes. Now let's position it differently. We will drag it a little bit up when we have the result like that, let's just make it just a little bit bigger. Again, going right between the nodes and making it bigger. When you have the result like that, let's just tap on the screen and get away from our edited modes. When we have these two ships on the top, let's just have this curve that will go through the center of the ship the same way as with our snowman. We are going to the top firstly, and we are creating the curve going through the whole ship. At the end we will hold it, and then we'll go over our top to the editing mode to adjust the placement on this element the same way as we did it with our Snowman head. We will need to have one of the parts on the head a little bit smaller than the other. This time, our ship on the right will be a little bit smaller than our ship on the left. The parts of this element won't be equal. Now let's just go over the top and we will adjust this line. We will make it just less curvy and we will have the result like that at the end. When you have something like that, you know what you need to do. We will need to go away from our editing mode. When we are done, we will go and start creating the lines on the bottom. Later on, we will turn into the codes and our body elements. Now firstly, let's just go over our left side and we will go and step a little bit from this line that we have as our triangle. Let's just go to the circle, that big one that we have for the heads on the boy. Let's just go and make a little mark down like that. When we have this mark down, let's just go with the straight line down. In that way we are making this line not so parallel to the line that we have on our triangle. When we have something like that, let's just go and maybe move it a little bit toward the left, so our body is not that small. Let's just go to our editing mode and move it just a little bit to the left if you want to adjust the angle, you are welcome to do it too. When you are satisfied with this shape, let's just tap on the screen. Let's just go to the bottom of this line that we have just created. And let's create another curve that later on we will turn into the bottom of our coat. Let's just go and create a curve going like that to the shape of our snowman. As always, you can play around with the curvature of the elements and with everything that you want to play around with. When you are done, let's just go over the top of the shape and we will create a line that later on we will turn into the arm. What we need to do is to go to the left side. Firstly, we will make a little markdown on our ship, on the top. When we have this mark down, we will step a little bit lower from it. When we have another markdown like that, we will just go to the right with a straight line like that. When we have something like that, let just go and create the lines for our legs. We will go more toward the left side on the bottom of this line. That will later on turn into the code. Let's just go and make a little markdown somewhere right here. When we have it, we will go and create another line going down and it will be a straight line and it will have a little bit, a different angle to what we have on our top. We are turning this line more toward the center when we have something like that. Let's just step more toward the right part and we will create another straight line, but this time it will be diagonal and it will be quite parallel to the line that we have on our triangle. So let's create something in that way. And when we are done, we will go to this new line that we have just created, and we will create another straight line like that. So now when we have our first scheme, let's move on to our next part, where we are going to be creating this skitch. 9. Boy: Sketch: Let's begin this part firstly by going to our layers. And we will change the capacity of our layer with the scheme tapping on the icon and dragging the apacity slider toward the left. When we have the result that we like, let's just tap on our layer with the scheme to close this window. Then we will tap on the plus icon to create a new layer for our skitch. Let's rename it now. Let's just go to this new layer with the same brush and with the same color, And we will start recreating the shapes that we have for our snowmen. Firstly, let's just go over the top part and we will create the line that we have right here on the top. When we have this line on the top, let's just go to the bottom and we will start recreating the line that we have on our skitch. Let's just go and create the line going in that way. And when we reach the bottom, let's just go and turn it a little bit inward so we will create a curve instead of this very straight corner. Now when we are done, let's just go to the bottom and we will recreate this line that we have as a straight line on the bottom. If you need to work more onto this corner on the right, please go and adjust it. When we are done with this line on the bottom, let's just go to the left and we will recreate the line that we have on the side. Again, work on this corner on the bottom. If you need to adjust it with an razor tool, go and adjust it. Now when we have something like that, let's just go to the intersection that we have on our right. And we will go inside the shape and we will create a straight line like that. When you have something like that, let's just go to our right part and let's create a little arm for our snowman. We will go closer to this intersection that we have between two ships. Firstly, we will go and create a line going up in that way. When you have it, we will go over our top part and we will create quite the parallel line. But if you want, you can go and play runs with the ship and make it not so straight. Let's connect these two lines together on our left with a little curve like that. When we have it, we will go over the top and we will create some little fingers here. Let just go and create firstly three lines like that. And then we will create the thickness to them. Let's just go and connect them together with our main ship by creating little branches like that. Again, you can play around with the shape. You can make the very straight corners, or if you want, you can make them very soft. It's all up to you when we have it. Let's just go over the top of the head of our snowman, and let's create a little head here. Let's just go to this line that we have on the top that is going through the whole shape of our head. And we will step a little bit to the left from it. We will create a little line like that when you have it. We will go more toward the right side, right underneath this line that we have as our horizontal line in the meda. We will create another line going up in that way we have something like that. Let's just go over the top and we will recreate this curve that we have for our shape of the head work to the straight corners and turn them into the soft curves When you have it, let's just go over the top of this new shape and we will create a very soft triangular shape. Let's do it in that way. We will step more toward the right side and we will create a shape going in that way. If you want, you can go to this little corner that you have on your left and turn it into a more soft curve. When you have something like that, grab an eraser to and erase the lines that you don't need when you did it. Let's just go over the top of this new hat and we will create some flaffy element here. Again, just go into the speak and we are creating a fluffy part like that. If you want to, you can go underneath this fluffy part to the right part and create some free ends. Now when we have our heads on the top of our snowman's heads, let's just go and create the facial features. Firstly, let's just go to the line that we have in the middle. And we will start by creating the shape of the mouth. We will step just a little bit higher where we have this intersection right here. And we will just go and create a simple shape of the mouth like that. You can always play around with the shape of this element, with its curvature, with its placement, with its size, with everything that you want to play around with. Just try to make the shape a little bit smaller on your left and a little bit bigger on your right. When you have the result that you like, let's just go a little bit higher. And we will start by creating the shape for our nose the same way as before. We are creating a triangular shape. Let's just go higher from our mouth. And let's create two lines like that. You can hold this line at the end and adjust it from the editing mode if you need to. When you're satisfied with the result, let's just go a little bit to the right from this triangular shape, and we will close the shape by creating a curve like that. Now when we have the nose, let's just go again a little bit higher and we will create the eyes. Let's firstly go over our left side. We will step from this middle line just a little bit and we will create a little shape in that way when we have it on our left. Let's move on to the right and let's create something similar here. But this time, as we are creating our facial features in some kind of a perspective, let's just go and put it a little bit closer to our right part. Let's create it in that way. The distance between the eye, from the eye to this middle line will be a little bit bigger. When you have the result like that, let's just go underneath the eyes and we will create the cheeks the same way as always. We are just creating the rounded shape like that and we are holding it at the end. And if you want to, we will hold one of our fingers on this screen. Also, we can just go to our editing mode and adjust the placement of this element when we have the first cheek, let's just go over our left part and let's create a similar shape. Here we have the nopart, let's just go to the left. And we will just keep this part. We are creating not a full circle, but again we are holding our shape at the ends. And we will hold one of our fingers at the screen to snap it to a perfectly round circle. If we want to go to the editing mode and adjusting it from here, let's just go and make this shape just a little bit smaller. Now let's just take a look at the facial features from the distance and we will decide whether we want to adjust some parts or not. For example, let's just go and make the eyes just a little bit bigger. Let's just go and manually adjust these two shapes. Also, if we can go to our S ribbon icon, we can select manually all the parts that belong to our facial features. You can see that when we are selecting this area, our color feel is turned on. That's because we were recoloring our back part before. We will just need to go to our bottom panel and turn it off. Now when this area is selected and when it's not filled with color, we will just go to our transform tool which is our are key on the top left. We will use uniform method and if you want to adjust the shapes of your facial features, you are welcome to go and do that. You can go and make them bigger. You can make them smaller if you want to, you can find a different placement for them. Let's just go and play around with our transform tool and we will find what works for us when you are satisfied with everything Here, let's just go and tap on the first tool that we were using, and it was our S ribbon icon to deselect everything. When we are done with our snowman, let's just go to the boy. Let's start working onto our boys sage. Firstly, by going over the top and starting by creating a hat. We will go to the ellipse that we have inside the big one, and we will step a little bit from it to the top, and we will create a guiding line going in that way. As always, hold your line at the end. Adjust the angle if you need to adjust the Couratre again, if you want to by going to the editing mode when you have the result like that. Let's just go over the top from this line and let's start creating the top part of our head. Firstly, let's just go and find an approximate center of this line that we have on our scheme. On the top from it we will go to the sides, and we will go and repeat the lines that we have on our scheme. But we will go and try to make this shape a little bit more triangular. Let's just go and create the lines going in that way. When you have the first line like that, let's just go over the opposite side and do the same thing here. Try to smoothen the connection between two lines and not to make a very straight corner here. When you have this shape, let's just go over the top where we had our approximate center. We will just go and create a fluffy part here, the same way as before. We will just go there and create something like that. If you want to play around with the sheep, you are welcome to go and do that if you want to adjust it, if you want to add additional elements again, you are welcome to go and do that. When we are done with this part, let's just go to the bottom and we will start creating this bottom part of our head. Firstly, let's just go to this line that we have now as a guiding line. And we will go to the bottom from it and we will create another parallel line like that. Let's create something in that way you can play around with the thickness of these elements. Just try to make these lines parallel to one another when you have them. Let's just go to the sides and we will go a little bit beyond the frames of our ship. On the scheme, we will create some flappy parts here too. Let's connect these two lines that we have in the bottom part and also this line that we have on the top with the ship like that, we are creating a little fold here. And also if you want, you can go to the bottom part on the ship and go to the bottom. In that way we are making the shape going behind our heads when we have something like that. Let's just go over our right part. Let's create something similar here. Firstly, we will go to these two lines that we have. And we will connect them together with a curve like that. Try not to make the very straight corners. And when you have the result like that, let's just go to the bottom from it. And we will create the part that is going behind the head. Firstly, we will go to this bottom part, and again, we will create some lines that go like that. When you have something like that, let's just go to the bottom part of the elements and we will create some fluffy parts. We are going to be creating some parts that will look like some knitting. What we need to do is to go to this line that we have on the bottom of the head. And we will need to create lines going in that way. When you have something like that, let's just grab our riser tool and we will arise all the lines that we don't need. Now when we have something like that, let's just go to the part that we have just created. And we will go and create lines going up in that way. When we have something like that, let's just go and start creating the facial features and also the whole phase. Firstly, we will go over our bottom part on the right, and we will go to this little element that we have inside to our ellipse. Here we will start recreating this line that we have on our scheme. When we have this new line, we will also go to the opposite side. And we will create a little ear here. Let's just step a bit from this heat element and we will go to this line that we have on our scheme. We will create a half of the circle or half of the allpse shape like that, When we have something like that, let's just go to the top and we will create some here. Firstly, let's just go to this bottom part of the head. We will go to this line that is going through our center, that is our curve. From this line we will go to the sides from it. And we will start creating some loops that will represent our here. When you have the first element like that, let's just go and create a little loop going on the bottom. Then we will continue creating the curves going in that direction the same way as before. If you want to, you can go and turn the very straight corners at the bottom by creating the curves and turning them into something very soft. When you have something like that, we will go over our left, right near our ear, and we will create a line right here. That later on we will color differently and it will look like here. Now when we have our elements on the left, let's just go to the right and create some hair here too. Firstly, again, go into this line that we have in the middle. And from it we will go to the right and create another loop like that. You can play around with the amount of these elements, with their size, with everything that you want to play around with. When you have this loop on the top, let's just go and create the curve going in that way. Go to this line that we have on right, that we have as an element of our heads. And we will just start creating a curve going in that way when we have this little element on right, And also as we have our elements on the top, let's just go and connect them together with another curve. And this whole area will be later turned into the here. When we have something like that, let's just grab an eraser to and erase the lines that we don't need. When we have something like that, we firstly will need to go over the right part where we have this little element for the here. And we will need to go and continue it to create the curve going to the top of the head. When we have the result like that, let's just go and create a little ear on our right. We will go to this element that we have for our head and we will go right near our snowman. What we need to do is to go and create a little part like that. If you have the lines that you need to erase, go grab an eraser tool and erase them. Now we will go to the ear that we have on our left. And let's just go inside and add this inner part. We will go more toward the right part on this element. And firstly, we will create a line going in that way. When you have it, we will go to the bottom of it and we will create a little half of the circle like that. When you have the result like that, let's just go and start creating our facial features. For creating our facial features, we will need to create another guiding line. Let's just go underneath our here element. And we will create a line going in that way. Adjust it if you need to by going to the editing mode. And when you have the result like that, let's just go to this line a little bit underneath it, and let's start creating our eyes. Firstly, we are going over our left side, going to this line a little bit underneath it. And we will create a line going in that way, the same way as with our first illustration. You can go just with a single line, or if you want to, you can go and thicken this line up and then go over the top of it and create another line going a little bit higher when you have this. First, let's move on to our right part, and let's create a similar eye here too. Again, go into this line that we have created. And we are going a little bit closer to our middle line, then we have it on our left. Let's just go and start creating our shape. Right on this line that we have. We will again go and thicken the bottom part of our eye. And also then we will go over the top of it and we will create another line going higher. Adjust these elements if you need to. And that will go above them and we will create these little parts for our leads. When you have something like that, let's just go underneath our eyes, just to the left from them. And we will create the circles for our cheeks the same way as before. Holding our line at the end and holding one of our fingers at the screen to create a perfectly round circle. Let's just go to the opposite side and do the same thing here when we have the result like that. Let's just go to this line that we have for our eyes. We will go just underneath it and we will create a little allpse in the middle part. When we have it, we will go underneath it and we will create the mouth. We will go more toward the right side underneath this little element that we have just created. Firstly, we'll go and create a little line going in that way. When you have it, we will go underneath this line and we will create half of the circle or half of the ellipse here. Now let's just take a look at our facial features from the distance and decide whether we want to adjust some parts or not. If we want to, we will go to our S urban icon free hand method and we will select all these elements that we want to adjust when all of them are selected. We are going to our error key on the top left. And if you want to adjust your elements in any way, you are welcome to go and play around with this feature. If you want to play around with the elements one by one, you are welcome to go to the adjustments, liquefy and adjust your elements from here, spend some time here and create something that you will like if you want to adjust other elements. You are welcome to go and do that when you're satisfied with everything here, let's just go and desalect everything by hitting on our magic 12. Now let's just get back to our brush, and let's just go underneath these facial features that we have, and we will start creating a scarf element. Firstly, let's just go right underneath our ear. And from it we will go to the right with the curve like that, you can play around with the curvature on this element. You can go a little bit higher or a little bit lower. It's all up to here when you have the result like that. Let's just go over our left part and we will create this part on our scarf, the same way as we did with our first illustration. If you have some elements that are overlapping one another, you are welcome to go to the eraser tool and erase the parts that you don't need. Now when we have this part in that way, let's just go to the bottom, and let's start creating the bottom part of our scarf. We will go firstly over our left side and we will create a bigger curve here. When we have it, we will go to our right with the curve going up. In that way, if you have the lines that you need to erase, you are welcome to go and erase them if you want. You can make these lines on the top and on the bottom parallel to one another, or if you don't want to, you are welcome to keep them as they are right now. You can try it out and if you don't like it, you can get it back. Now, when we are done with this element, let's just go to our left and we will go to recreate our code here. Firstly, we are going to this line that we have on our scheme and we are creating a little curve going down in that way. We are not going to the bottom of the scheme line because we want to create a little dent here and create a similar code to what we have on our first illustration. Let's just go and create this little fluffy part on the bottom. And then we will go to this line that we have on our scheme and we will recreate it when we have this line. Let's just go to this dent that we have on our left and we will create a parallel line to what we have on our bottom. When you have it, let's just go and create the arm. We will go to this intersection that we have between our line right here and our scarf. From it we will go to the bottom and create a curve going to our snowman. In that way, when you have it, we will go over the top where we have this little dan from it, we will go and create a curve going down in that way. When we have this curve, we will go and create a little protruding part. Let's just go to the bottom and create a little curve. And then we will go to the right and create a similar curve parallel to what we already have on our screen. Let's do the same on the top. Then we will go and create a little mitten here. Let's just go to this little part that we have just created with these two curves. And we will start creating the fingers. What we need to do is to go and create a few elements like that, play around with the shapes, and try to make the bottom finger a little bit smaller than all the fingers that you have on the top. Now let's just go and work a little bit more onto our coat. We will go to the sleeve and we will try to connect the shapes together in a smooth way. Let's just go to the n that we have on the bottom, and let's create a smoother curve here. Again, if you have the lines that you need to erase, grab, erase our two, and erase them. When we have the result like that, let's just go underneath our arm and close to our snowmen, and we will create a loose end of the scarf here, we will just go and create a little part in that way. We also can go to the top part of our scarf, and where we have our dent on the top, we can go and create a little line going down in that way. And that will represent a little fold here. Now let's just go to the bottom and let just work onto the leg. Firstly, we are going over our left side. We will go to the line that we have on our scheme and we will create a little curve like that. We are creating a little S shape in that way. When we have it, we will go along the whole shape with the curve going to the right. When we have the result like that, we will go to the top, to this line that we have on our right, and we will create a curve going up in that way. When we have it, we will go to the bottom part of this ship and we will create a line going in that way on our left. When we have it on our left, you can just create a straight line. Or if you want to, you can go with a little curve. When you have the line like that, let's just go over our right part. And let's create a line going in that way too. When we have these two quite parallel lines, let's just go to the bottom and create a straight line. Work onto the corners and try to make them very soft. And when you have this little ship, let's just go to the middle part of it. And we will go and create a curve going in that way. Now when we have the result like that, let's just go and create another leg on our right. We already have this line on our scheme, so let's just go and recreate it. And then we will just go with the straight line going toward our snowman. Again, if you want, you can go to the corner and soften it up. Now let's just take a look at everything that we have from the distance and decide whether we want to adjust some parts or not. Let's just go to our liquefied tool and play rounds with our ships if we want to adjust some parts. If it's easier for you, you can go to your layers and hide your layer with the scheme and basic scheme. Now one more time, take a look at your illustration and go to your liquefied tool to play around with the ships. If you want to, you can play with everything that you see on your illustration. If you want to adjust the snowman, you are welcome to go and do that. If you want to adjust the boy, you are welcome to go and adjust him too. When you're satisfied with the result, let's just tap on our magic quant tool. And let's just go and add a few more details. Firstly, let's just go to our snowman, and let just add a few buttons. The same way as before. We are going more toward our center part and creating a few elements like that. You can do it manually, or you can just go and hold your apple pencil at the end of the line to create a better shape. Now when we are done, let's just get back to our layers and we will unhide our layer with basic scheme. We will go to the bottom to our triangular shape and we will start recreating the part the same way as we did on our first illustration. We will turn it into some kind of snow. Let's just go to this line that we have on our triangle and let's just go and create some wobbly ship on the bottom. Let's just go around, and if you want to create some additional elements, you are welcome to go and do that. For example, we can create some piles of snow. When you are done with this task, let's just go along the shapes that we have for our main illustration, and let's create a few more additional elements. For example, let's just go over the top where we have this space between our objects. Let's just go and create a little heard here. Also, let's just go and create a few more elements. For example, we can go with simple circles or maybe with some snowflakes or anything that you want to add here. Let's just go and add a few of these elements. Now, one more time, let's just take a look at our illustration. If you need to go to the liers and hide the layer with your basic scheme to check out how everything looks. If you're satisfied with everything, if you don't want to adjust your shapes, let's just go to our next part where we are going to be creating our clean lines. 10. Boy: Clean Lines: Let's begin this part firstly by going to our brush library. We'll go to the calligraphy folder and we will choose monoline brush. When we have it, we will go to our layers and we will adjust the opacity of our layer with this skitch, find the capacity that works for you. And when you're done, let's just create one more layer above that, we'll rename as clean lines. And now while we have not too many layers, let's just go and select everything that belongs to our second illustration and we will put it in the group. Let's just hit group when all of these three layers are selected and we will rename the group as boy. Now let's just get back to our layer with the clean lines and let's just do the same thing as we did with our first illustration. We will just need to go and recreate the lines that we have on our skitch. And remember that you don't need to do it with 100% of similarity. If you want to adjust some parts, go and adjust them. Just remember that the lines that are outside should be closed. Because later on when we are going to be using our color drop, we need them to be closed. Now let us go and very quickly recreate our lines. When you are done with creating the lines, let us go to our layers and we will hide our lier. With this sketch, we'll take a look at our illustration from the distance and we will make sure that all the lines that we have as our outlines are closed. If you need to adjust some parts, go and adjust them when you are satisfied with your clean lines. Let's move on to our next part, where we are going to be aiding the base colors. 11. Boy: Basic Colors: Let's begin this part firstly by going to our layers. And we will go and unhide our layer with basic scheme. We have the rounded elements at the background. We will just go and recreate this object as our background. Let's firstly go to our layer with the sage in our folder with the boy. From here we will create one more layer that will rename as background. When we have this new layer, we will get back to our color palettes and we will go and select the color with the name, light grayish pink. We will use the same brush that we were using before for our lining part, it was our monoline brush. Now let's just go and recreate this element the same way as always just creating our shape with one line and holding it at the end. Hold one of your fingers on the screen and adjust the size of this element if you need to. When you have the result that you like, let's just drag and drop the color inside the ship. When we have this result, let's just get back to our layers. And now we can get back to our basic skin layer and we can hide it one more time. Now when we have all of our elements that we need, let's just go and firstly unhide our layer with the skitch. We have this element at the bottom that we need to recreate. Now let's just go too early with the background, and from here we will create one more layer that we will rename as bottom. When we have this new layer, let's just get back to our color palettes and let's select some of our light blue colors. For example, let's just go with light greyish C and blue. Now when we have this color, let's just go to the bottom and let's recreate this element when you have the outline. Let's just drag and drop the color inside. Let's then go to our color palettes to select the white color. With this white color, we will go and recreate these elements where we have our lines. If you want to add some additional elements with this color, maybe some dots or another elements, you are welcome to go and do that when you are ready. Let's just get back to our layers and we will hide our layer with this itch. Take a look at this bottom part that you've created. And if you like it, let's just go and start adding the colors to our main shapes. Firstly, what we need to do is to go to our layer with the clean lines and we will need to set it as reference. So let's just tap on the layer and choose reference from the list. When we did it, we will get back to our layer with the bottom. And from here we will create one more layer that will rename as snowman. We already have our white color selected, so let's just go and drag and drop it to the whole area at our snowman. When you are ready, we can go and add the same color to our buttons. Or if you want, you can go and select any other color that you like for these elements when we have it in that way. Let's just get back to our color palettes and let's select the color with the name, pink. With this color, we will go to our little arm on the right and we will drag and drop the color here also. Let's just go to our color palettes one more time. And let's select some orange color for the nose. Let's go with red orange when we have this color with our brush, let's just go and add the color to the nose. When we are done, let's just get back to our liars. We will create one more li above our liar with the snowman. We will rename it as details. And onto this layer, let's just go and add the color to our little hat. Firstly, let just get back to our color palettes and let's select this grayish purple color. With this color, we will go and drag it, drop it to these places that we have on our top. If you want to recolor this fluffy part with some other color, you are welcome to go and do that. Also add the same layer. Let's just go and add our cheeks. Firstly, let's just get back to our layers and we will find our layer with this cage and we will drag it up above our layer with the details. Let's just hold it at our layers panel. And we will drag it up underneath our layer with the clean lines. Let's to know where we need to put our cheeks. Now we will get back to our layer with the details and then we will get back to our color palette to select some purplish or maybe pink color. Let's just go and maybe select the color with the name. Light pink, or if you want to, you can go with any other color that you like when you have the color selected. Let's just get back to our little elements that we have on our Skage. Let's just go and put the dot here if you have some elements overlapping one another. So for example, like here with our nose and the cheek. Let's just get to our eraser to and we will erase this part that is overlapping also. Let's just go and now hide our lit with this Skage because for now we don't need it anymore. And then we will get back to our color palettes and select some darker color. For example, let's just go with Ts. We will go and decrease the size of our brush, and we will go inside our little cheeks. And we will add the same lines that we have added for our first illustration. Let's just go and create something in that way. When we are done with our snowman, let's just get back to our layers and we will create one more layer above our layer with the details for our snowman. Let's rename it as Face. When we have our face layer. Let's just get back to our color palettes. And let's select one of these colors that we have on the top, either beach, light grey, red, orange, or light beach. Select one of these colors and drag in drop its to the face area. When you are done, let's just go and add the color to our mouth. One more time. Let's just get back to our color palettes and select one of the colors that you feel is suitable for these elements. For example, we can go with the same light pink color or maybe pink orange. When you have the result that you like, don't forget that we will need to add the color to our ear on the right. So if you have the color that you need already on your canvas, you can invoke the eye drop, a tool to select this color that you need. What we need to do is to go to our area where we have the color for our face. And we will need to hold one of our fingers on the screen until we see this little tool. If you are moving the tool to some colors, you will see that it is changing its color. On the top, you will need to go to the area where you have the color that you want to select when you have this color that you need on the top of this tool. We will just lift up our finger. Now let's just go and drag and drop the color to our ear. Let's make sure that everything that is supposed to be a skin color is colored. When we are done, let's just go to our layers. We will unhide our layer with the sage and we will go and create one more layer above our layer with the face to add the details. Now let's just tap on the plus icon and let's remain this layer as details. Let's clean this layer to a previous one. Tap and select clipping mask from the least. Now one more time, let's just go to our color palettes. And let's select some color that we will use for our cheeks, our nose and our inner part on the ear. You can play around with the colors and find what works for you. Or let's just go and select the light grayish, red, orange color. When we have it, we will just go and start by adding the color to the cheeks with the same color. Let's decrease the size of our brush and we will go above our mouth elements and we will put a little dot for the nose. When we have it, we will go with the same color to our inner part of the ear, and we will add the color here. Or if you want to, you can go and make this element a little bit more colorful. So you can just go and select the same color that you used for the mouth. Let's just go select it with our eye dropper tool and let's just go and add it to the elements. Now when we are done with these basic colors, let's just get back to our color palettes and select the same red color that we were using for our snowman. We will go and decrease the size of our brush and we will add the similar stripes for these cheeks. Also, we will get back to our color palette and we will select this magenta color to go to the top corner on our right, on the mouth. And we will add a little element in that way, the same way as we did with our first illustration. Now when we have the result like that, let's just go and continue adding the colors to other elements. Firstly, let's just go and hide our li with this keech, because for now we don't need it anymore. And then we will go and create one more li above our li with the details for the fees. Let's rename it as here. When we have the needed layer, let's just get back to our color palettes. And let's select grayish purple color. Or if you want to experiment with the color of the hair, you are welcome to go and select any color that you like when you have the color, let's just go and drag and drop it to the needed places that belong to our hair. And when you are done one more time going back to our layers and creating a new layer for our head. Let's rename this layer as accessories. And we will add the color not only to the head, but also to the scarf and our little glove. Firstly, let's just get back to our color palettes and let's select one of these blue colors. Let's just go with light grays, C, and blue, or maybe light blue. Decide what color you want to use and select it. And let's just go and drag and drop it to our hat. If you want to recolor the top parts in a different color, you are welcome to go and select the color that you want to recolor it with. When you have the head element recolored, let's just go and select another color for our scarf and also for our glove. Let's go and select the same color that we used for the heat on our snowman. It was our grayish purple color. With the color, let's just go and dragon drop it to the needed places when we have the result like that. Let's just get back to our lis and we will create one more li that will rename as coat when we have it, let's just select the same color that we used for our heads again, let's just go to our screen. We will invoke the eye dropper tool and we will pick the color from our heads. When we have it, we will just go to our codes and we will recolor the elements. Now when you have recolored the codes, let's just get back to our layers. We will create one more layer that we'll rename as pens. When we have this layer, let's just get back to our color palettes and let's select dark grayish purple color. Or if you want, you can go with greyish purple. Or if you want, you can go and pick any color that you like. Now when we have the color that we need, let's just go and drag it to the whole area. At the bottom, we have recolored our boots and also our pants. Let's just go and recolor the elements that we have floating around our sheeps. Now one more time, let's just get back to our lis and we will unhide our li with this cage. Then we will go and create one more li that we'll rename as miscellaneous. When we have it, let's just go and firstly recolor our hearts. We will go to our color palettes and we will select some suitable color here. Let's just go with light pink When we have it recolored, let's just get back to our color palettes and let's select the white color. We will go and recolor these elements that we have our lines for and also these elements that we have on the top. We will just go with our brush and we will put some dots there. If you want to add more elements like this, you are welcome to go and do that. Now, let just get back to our layers and we will hide our layer with this itch. And we will take a look at the whole illustration without our lines for this kitch. If you like it, we are ready to go to our next part where we are going to be aiding our beautifications, shadows and highlights. 12. Boy: Shadows, Highlights & Beautification: Let's begin this part by going to our layers. We will go to our layer with the clean lines. We will tap on it and we will turn off reference. When we did it, we will start from the bottom. So let's just go to our snowman and we will start adding the shadows to it. When the layer is selected, we are creating one more layer above that will rename as shadows. Let's clean this layer to a previous one. And we will go to our icon to change the blending mode to multiply. As for the capacity for now, you can keep it at maximum and then later on get back to the option and adjust it. Now when we have our new layer, when we have set it, we will just go back to our color palette and we will select one of these blue colors. For example, let's just go with the same color that we have. For our bottom part, it was our light greyish, sea, and blue color. With this color, we will go more toward the right part of our shape. We will start edging the shadow, repeating the shapes that we have here. Firstly, let's just go from the top, from the middle part of our head, and we will start creating a curve going down in that way. As always, you can hold your line at the end. And if you need to adjust it from the editing mode, please go and adjust it. Now when you have this curve on the top, let's just go and create a similar curve on the bottom. Again, we are starting from this end point on the top line and we are going down with the shape like that, adjusted if you need to go to the editing mode. And when you are done, let us go and recolor this part manually or we will just go around the whole shape. We will create the outline and then we will drag and drop the color inside with the same color. Let just go underneath the hand that we have on our left. And let's just repeat the shape here and we will create the shadow in that way. Let's just go and just create something in that way when you have it, let's just go and recolor this part manually. Now let's just go to the buttons. And if you have them in the white color, let's just go more inside of them to the bottom part of them. And we will start adding the shadow from here. What we need to do is to go and create something in that way. You can go with a straight curve or you can just go and create some pattern here. Also, you can just go a little bit underneath this button element and add a little shadow underneath it when you have the first shadow in that way. Let's just do the same to our button on the bottom. Now when we are done, let's just go to this arm that we have on our rights. And we will go to the bottom part of it. And we will just go and add a little shadow in that way. Use the same color that you use for your mean shadow. Or if you want to, you can go back to your color palette and select some suitable color. When we are done with this task, let's just get back to our layers and maybe adjust the apacity of this layer. Let's just go to our M icon. And we will just go and play around with our apacity slider. Find the amount of apacity that works for you. And when you are done, let's just go to our head. So it is our layer with the details and above it we will create one more layer that will rename a shadows the same way as before. We are clipping our lead to a previous one. We are going to our icon to change the blending mode to multiply. Now let's just get back to our color palettes and select grayish purple color. With this color, we will go to our head elements and we will recolor the bottom right part. Let's firstly go and create the outline like that. We will go to the bottom part firstly and create a curve going in that way to make sure that this part is a little bit more protruding than the top part, let's just go a little bit toward the right part and create the curve going in that way on our top elements. Then if you want, you can go and create the outline and drag and drop the color inside, or you can just go manually and recolor these elements. We can also go to the top part where we have the fluffy elements and end the shadow here too. Let's just go to the bottom part and create some fluffy curve. You can use the same color that you used for the whole hat, or you can just get back to the color that you used before for the main shape of the snowman. Now when we have the result like that, let's just get back to our layers. We will go to our layer with the shadow. And again, we will play with the opacity of these elements, find the amount that works for you. And when you are done, let's continue by going to our face layer. And we will start creating the shadows here too. We have one layer clip to our face. Let's just go above it and create the layer from here. We rename this layer as shadows. We will clip it and we will change the blending mode to multiply. Now let us get back to our color palettes. And let's select this color with the name pink, orange, beach, or maybe light pink. Select one of these colors. Or if you want to experiment again, you are welcome to select any color that you like. We will just go underneath our hair elements and we will repeat them to add the shadow. When we have our shadows on the face. If you need to, you just need to go to your shadow layer and play with the opacity. If you want to adjust the color of your shadow, for example, you pick the color and you don't like it at your illustration right now. You can go select this layer, then go to your magic want, hue saturation and brightness. You can see on the bottom we have our sliders and we can just go to the hue slider, saturation, brightness, and play with them until we find the result that we like when you found the color that you like. Let's just tap on our magic an tule one more time to di, select everything when we are satisfied with our shadows on the face. Let's just get back to our layers. And let's just go to our layer with the hair. We will create one more layer and we will do the same things with our lier. Again, we will rename it, we will clip it, and we will change the blending mode to multiply. When we are ready, we will get back to our color palettes and we will select this dark grayish purple color. Now let us go underneath our heat and we will start recreating these lines that we have at the bottom of our heat. We also will put the whole area that we have on our left in the shadow. If you want to go and add more shadows to the hair elements, you are welcome to go and do that. For example, we can go to this little part that we have on our right and we can add the shadow here like that. Try to make all of the shadows very smooth. And when you're satisfied with them, let just get back to our lis and we will play with the apacity. Take a look at your illustration from the distance and decide whether you want to add more shadows to the here. When you are satisfied with your results, let's just get back to our layers. And let's just go to our layer with accessories. Again, we will create one more layer above. We will rename it, Clip it, and change the blending mode. Now let's just get back to our color palettes and select some bluish color for our shadows. For example, let's just go with light greyish C and blue, or maybe just blue with this color. We will go to our left part and we will start creating our shadows from here. Let's just go to the bottom part of our head firstly. And let's create a curve going in that way. When you have this first curve, we will go to the top. And again, we will step a bit from this line, this time to the left. And we will just go to the top and start creating the shadow going up in that way. Now let's just go and create the outline, and then we'll drag and drop the color inside with the same color. We will go to our right part where we have this protrudin part on the head and we will put it completely in the shadow. If you want to, you can go over the bottom part on the whole head and add the shadow to this little part two. But if you don't want to, you can keep it as it is right now if you have some elements that you need to adjust. So for example, if your lines are not too smooth, grab an eraser two and adjust the lines. Now let's just go over the top to this fluffy part. And let's add the shadow here too. Again, we're going more towards the bottom part and we are going to the same side where we have our mean shadow. And let's just go and create some fluffy elements. Adjust the lines if you need to. And when you are satisfied with it, let's just go and change the capacity of this layer. Now when you found the capacity that you like, let's just go and change our color to the grayish purple. We will go to our scarf and we will start aging the shadows here too. Firstly, let's just go to the inside part, right here near our snowmen. And let's just go more toward the bottom part of it. And let's create a first curve like that when you have it, we will go to the fold element and we will create another line going in that way. Let's just work onto our ages and we will create a very smooth connection between the shapes when we have the shadow in that way. Let's just go to the bottom and we will go through the whole shape and we will add the shadow to the whole area at the bottom also, we will just go to this little part on our left. And let just repeat it by creating a curve like that with the same color. We will go to this little free part of our scarf and we will put it completely in the shadow. As for the glove, let's just go to the bottom part. And we will create a curve going in that way. And then we will go and recolor the bottom part manually. If you feel that maybe the shadow on the purple elements is not enough, if it's not that bright as you like, we can just go and select this area and adjust it. Let's just go to our ribbon icon. We will use free hands method and we will just go very accurately and select these parts that we have our shadows on. When only these areas are selected. We are going back to our magic 12 hue saturation and brightness and we are playing with our sliders. For example, let's just go to the brightness. And let's just move it toward the left part. If you want to make it more colorful. You are welcome to go to the saturation slider and adjust it by going to the right part of it. If you want to play run with the color of this element, you are welcome to go to the hue slider and adjust it from here, find what works for you. And when you are done, let's just go to the top left. And we will tap on the first tool that we chose, so it was our ribbon icon. We will deslect everything, and when we are done, we will get back to our lays. We will go to our layer with the coat and we will create one more layer above. As always, let's just go and rename it. Clip it and change the blending mode. Now one more time, let's just get back to our color palettes and select the same color that we used for our shadow on the head. It was our blue color. And with this color, we will go underneath our scarf on the left and we will repeat the curve that we have here when we have the result like that, let's just go to our sleeve. Let's create a shadow on the bottom. In that way, if you want to, you can go underneath the carve right here and add a little shadow. Going to this element that we have on our left, add the color to the areas that you need to add the shadow to. Then we will go and change the capacity on this layer. When you are done, let just go underneath our sleeve. And let's repeat the curve that we have for our sleeve. We also can go to this part on the right and put it completely in the shadow. In that way, when you are done, let's just get back to our layers. We will go to our layer with the pants and we will create one more layer above, clip it to our previous layer and change the blending mode, and also rename it when we have this layer set, Let's just get back to our color palettes and select this grayish purple color. We will go to this leg that we have more on our right, and we'll put it completely in the shadow. We also will go to the top part of the leg on the left and we will start creating the shadow. Go in that way, if you want to, you can go to this little boot that we have here and add the shadow to it too. Start with the top part and then create a curve going down in that way. When we have all the shadows that we need, let's just get back to our layers and let just play with the capacity of this layer. Now when we are done with our shadows, let's just go and add some additional elements and maybe some highlights. Firstly, let's just go above all these layers that we have here and let's create one more layer that we'll rename as highlights. We will go to our icon and we will change the blending mode to overlay. Now let's just get back to our color palettes and select the white color. And then we will go to the top part, to the opposite sides from our shadows, and we will start adding some additional elements as highlights. Firstly, let's just go to our head. Let's just go to the top part of it, and let's create some highlight here. When we are done with the head, let's just go to the scarf. Again, we are going to the opposite side from our shadows. And we are adding some additional elements here too. The same thing we will do with our codes and the elements that we have on our illustration. Let's just go and add a few of the highlights when we are done. Let's just get back to our layer with the shadows on our additional elements on our accessories. And let's add more elements to these parts. We are the shadow and the accessories. And let's just go with some darker color. For example, let's just go with blue. We will go to the head. We will add a bit of fluffy elements here, for example. We can go and add a few elements like that. Also, we will just go to our scarf and we will do the same thing here for our scarf. We will need to get back to this color that we have on our shadow. As we have changed it, we will just need to do the following. We will need to get back to our layers. We will need to go to our layer with the shadow, go to our M icon, adjust the capacity to maximum, and then get back to our normal blending modes. When we did all of this, we will just go and pick the color from the shadow. Now when we did all of this, just to pick the right color for our shadow, let's just go back to our canvas and we will undo all these things that we did just to pick this color. Let's just go to our left, to this little arrow, and let's just tap on it a few times until we have the same result that we had before before we pick the color for the shadow. Now when we got back, let's just go to the element and let's just go and add a few more additional elements. For example, let's just go and create a few lines. Going in that way, we are just adding some texture. When we are done, let's just go and recolor some of our lines. Firstly, let's just get back to our layers. And we will go to our layer with the clean lines. We will create one more layer above and we will rename it as recoloring the lines. Now let's clean this layer to a previous one. We are keeping our blending mode. And then we will go to our color palettes and select some darkish blue color to start adding the color to our lines on the heat. Let's just go with blue and let's just go and recolor some of our lines. If you feel that maybe this color is not too bright, you know what we need to do. We will need to go to our color palette. When you invoke this window, we will just need to go to the bottom panel and select Disc. When we are here at the color wheel, let's just go and select the darker color. When you are done with this color, let's just go and select the color for our recoloring part on the purplish elements. One more time, let's just get back to our colors. And you can see at the history, we have this color that we used for our shadow on our scarf. Let's just go to the color wheel and make it just a little bit darker. Let us go to these parts that we have inside our mean shapes and let's just go entry color them. We will do the same with the head on our snowman. Now let us go above all the lines that we want to recolor. And let's just go entry color them. For example, we can go to these elements that we have on the bottom and we can recolor them with the same color that we use for our elements that we have on our main ships. Also, we can just go to the bottom part of our snowman entry, color it to the same thing we will do with these floating elements around the main ships. Also with this color that we are using right now to recolor the lines for our heart, it is our magena color. We will go to the mouth elements and we'll recolor the lines here too. Remember that you don't need to recolor all of the lines. If you don't want to recolor them, you are welcome to keep them as they are. Also, we will just go to the parts that we have on our lids and we'll recolor them too. And also we will do the same thing to our inner part on the ear. Now let just take a look at our illustration from the distance and decide whether we like it or not or if we want to adjust some parts. If you like it, we are done with our class. Thank you for watching this class Liver review if you liked it, and consider subscribing for more Y videos in the future. Looking forward to seeing your projects.
