Hello, I'm Amelie.

I started drawing with a pencil when I was sixteen, initially focusing on pencil drawing classes. During these early years, I developed a strong foundation in portrait drawing, figure drawing, and facial features design. I also honed my skills in working with colored pencils, ink pens, and watercolors. These diverse experiences have given me a comprehensive understanding of various techniques and styles.

As my interest grew, I discovered a passion for character design and animation, which led me to pursue professional character design classes. My university education in the field of animation further deepened my expertise. At the age of twenty-four, I began teaching character drawing with a pencil, combining my knowledge of traditional drawing techniques... See full profile

1. Introduction: Hello friends, welcome to the faces sketching course with pencil. One of the most important techniques in pencil drawing is drawing the face and its parts in a basic way. In this course, I'll teach you how to sketch a phase step-by-step. In this course, you will learn how to draw and shade different types of eyes, noses, ears, lips. Then you will learn to proportions of the face and how to place the parts of the face correctly. Then by drawing three phases of a boy, young man, any girl, you will learn how to create a whole phase and shaded completely. Do not forget that in this course, I'll teach you how to draw a sketch of face using only a pencil. I hope that with a lot of practice, you'll become very capable in the field of faces sketching, and good luck. 2. Tools: Hello everyone, and good evening. Welcome to the new course of sketching with me. In this course, we are going to work on faces from a beginner level up to professional one. K. The simplest way is that we are going to teach you how you can create face competence part by part. And then at last, we will teach you how to create all the phase altogether with correct proportions, of course. Okay, and now I'm going to tell you about the tools. We're going to use B6, a sketching pencil also before and the twill, the sketching pencils, we would use an eraser, which is obviously used for delicate places that we need to be erased and also do eraser. So these are the tools for this course. So in next episode we're going to start. 3. How to draw an eye (front view): Hello again. As I told you in the previous episode, first of all, we're going to work on the face competence part by part. So I'm also going to tell you how you can create them in different angles. I mean, from the front view, side view, or in the three phases view. It doesn't matter whether it's an it's a nose, It's lips, or anything else. First of all, I'm going to teach you how you can create things in a front view. For example. I'm going to teach you how you can create the front view of the eye. I should tell you that the general shape of the eye would be start with a circle. See, if I put it here and go around it. Here we would have a circle. I'm just making it darker. Therefore, it would be visible for you. Alright. Now why do I tell you it would be in a shape of a circle? Because if you want to consider the frame of the, I mean, that eyeball would actually be a circle that goes into frame like this. So if this is your eyeball, here, we can have the actual frame of the eye. Now. We can create a frame of the eye, or basically the actual lie here would be the corner of the eye, the inner corner, and that side would be the outer corner. This would be the upper eyelid and this would be the lower eyelid. See. Here we would have the iris. You see all of your eye should be as the size of two irises. I mean, you should place your iris in a way that the empty spaces would actually be as the amount of one other iris. We can also place the eyelashes over here that we do not need for them right now. We don't want to get into that. So this is the basic shape of the eye from the front view. Now I'm going to tell you how it's going to be different in a front view and side view and into three phases view. So for example, in a front view, DI would be placed like this. And if you want to do better, you can also create an imaginary circle or you can just create it very lightly. Then later you can erase it. I'll create an I. And then I will create this drop shape in the inner corner of the eye, like this. Here we go. This would be the outer corner of the eye, which I'll close it and I'll make it round. And just like that, I'll move it towards the inner corner of the eye. So this part of the corner of the eye, which should also be round and closed. So I can separate the eyeball from this inner corner of the eye. Then I should create the iris in a way that we will have empty spaces as the amount of another iris. Size wise. It should be in a way that we can fit another iris in the empty slots. You should just do it very lightly. Then, right from here, from this inner corner of the eye, we will consider an upper eyelid. And this upper eyelid above the eye can be different in each person. Some people, in some people it cannot even be seen in some other people. They have very wide upper eyelids, so it's different. Then in this lower eyelid, I'll create another space to place the eyelashes over here. See. Just like this. This would be actually the place where the eye lashes will grow out of here. And this area should always stay white. See, just like that. And then this area would be my lower eyelid. I will apply the darkness, the central darkness for my iris. And then with a small distance, you see, if I want to explain it to from here, I would just start above here and then we can create our eyebrow. I mean, it goes above the eyeball. Just like that. Here it is. Right? Now we want to create some shadings in it. I will take my B6 pencil and first of all, IP starting from inside of the iris to create my shadings because that will be the darkest part. Basically. I just keep a small area as the light, as a reflection of the light inside of the iris. Then this upper part of the iris, because here we would have the eyelid, therefore, it creates a shadow and this area would be really dark as it gets down. It can also be light because this iris can be for a person with a color dye. And you should know that the design and color inside of each person is different. Again, as your models, I would be more color for a lighter. You're shading should also be lighter and darkness that we would use should be less. Definitely. Then from here, I'll come into this white part of the eyeball. I just create a very, very light shading. And also I'll do the same. For the other side too. I work on the corners of the eyes. And then I'll just keep the rest of the eyeball wide. And, OR here I'll create two inner corner of the eye. This is a part where the tears would drop down and come out. I'll use my eraser to create some specific lights inside of the iris area. It'll just make it more interesting. Then I'll use my pencil to apply a stronger darkness here. Just as easy as that. Then I'll move on to this upper eyelid. And because it's curved in, this line, is actually is showing the curve area on the eyelid. And a curved in area is always darker. So I'm using my pencil to shade this area dark, and then shade its surroundings. To show that here we'll have Alyssa depth. Just like that. Alright. Now we're going to work on this area above the eye. See. From here I'll be shading and I am hatching as well. So you would know. I'll just do it very lightly as you can see. I'll continue up to this arc below the eyebrow. So I'll make it less. And then again at the end of the eye, I'll make it more. I'll make us stronger. Then it comes down below the eye and just follow the same procedure. I'll shade it up to here. This part on the lower eyelid also has some darkness because it also has some depth. And this would be that a line which shows the curved area below the eye. Then I'm going to emphasize on each line for the eyebrow to represent its hair texture. I'm going over these lines and I'm creating the eyebrow. Okay? Then I can even shade some parts of it and make it darker. More darkness over here might make your work even more, pretty, more beautiful. Like this. My dear friends, you can use your eraser to get a layers of darkness of your work. You see when I'm tapping it here, it will actually get a layer of darkness from my work. And it will actually blend the rest of the work together. They would have to create some eyelashes for our work. So I'd be starting to create the eyelashes from the corner of the eye. And in this technique, one goes about, one goes below. As you can see, I'm just throwing my hand off the paper at the end of the eyelashes. Of course, in next steps we are going to tell you in more details and more specifically how to create the eyelashes. And I'll create a lower eyelashes the same way I'll started from here. This is space that grows the eyelashes. 4. How to draw an eye (three sides and side view): Hello again. Welcome to another episode of my tutorials. Well, this time we are going to create the eye in a different angle, k. If you want to create it in a three phases view, you can see on these third, fourth of your eyes. And we want to see how we can create it. First of all, you shouldn't know that in a three faces view, we will have the high as a shape of a drop like this. See what, what am I going to do? You see this is actually a drop. So from here, I will create the inner corner of the eye. Just like that. This would be the lower part and goes up until I have the outer corner of the eye over here. In this position, what would be the placement or the shape of the iris? You can create die or silver here, or even in the middle. Again. It should be here. I place my iris here. And this would be our beautiful iris. I'll create the inner corner of the eye a little bit better. I'll shave it better. Actually. This would be the upper eyelid and the line which is going above it. That again, even in this way, for each person, it would be different and it would be seen different. Now I'm just grading in general shape and a normal one. And this would be the lower eyelid. Just as easy as that. We've created an eye in a three phases. We might do friends. To create the eyebrow. I must say it's almost a similar and it's the same as our previous shape. It will be a bit shorter. I mean, it will start here. And under contrary of this way that we can have this curve on the eyebrow NDI from here. Over here we will have the curve of the eyebrow. Starting from here. The curve of the eyebrows starts from here a bit earlier, you know, comparing to our model from the front view. So this is the eyebrow. Now we're going to work on the shadings of it. I'll get my B12 pencil and I'd be starting with the iris. I'll keep it light inside of it. I create a pupil. Then I will shade inside of the iris. And as I said before, the darkness inside of the iris and the pupil would be different based on your tastes and the model that you're creating. It can be lighter or darker, depends on you. Then like that, I will shade this in their corner of the eye. Going back to the outer corner of it, then we should consider the lower eyelid as well. See, this area should stay white and light. So I erase it with my eraser because it's a delicate space. Tonight. Be applying a light shading inside of the eyeball. Just like that. And it will continue from here out. Alright. Then we would also apply the darkness, which shows the depth above the upper eyelid and it's curved in area. Then also some are shadings between the, between the eye and eyelid and the eyebrow. And then we got to this prominent part at the back of the eye, or actually below the eyebrow, we will actually lie to now shadings. Here we go. Then we would be applying some darkness on this lower eyelid as well. This is actually the shading for below the eye lid. Because this is actually the result of eyelashes. The shadow of the eyelashes would be applied here. Then I'll continue shading this area. Alright. We will not want to work on the eyelid too much, so we just leave it at that. Then we can create the eyebrow hair by hair one-by-one. I'll be working on the eyebrows bit more, darkening them, going over its hair. Most one-by-one. You in a better shape and actually separated from the shading below it. Then going to be our eyelashes in this position, in this angle. Well, all of them would be turned toward this way. They will be turned and twisted toward this way. They would actually turn into the way that our eye has been placed in a three-phase says view. I mean, if the head is turned left, the eyelashes would actually face left to vice versa. And it would be the exact same thing for the lower eyelashes as well. It's just that the lower eyelashes would be shorter and they have less angle. Alright, here we go. Submit more shading over here and we're done. You can also use VRS is eraser to erase all extra lines, extra shadings of your work. Even erase its surroundings. Then you can use it to create some lights inside of your eye, especially in the eye ball or the iris. You can also use it around the eye. But that would just make it look better. That's it. Here's our eye. The three faces view. Okay, now it's time to create the I in the side view this time. Alright. I've created the I in the three faces view in the shape of a drop. Just do the same in the side view to sum, again, I be placing a drop shape over here, but this time, did drop would be smaller comparing to the one that I've created previously. See, I'm creating a smaller drop. The upper area would just go a little bit more further and the lower area would be nut. In previous model, it had a completely round shape, but this time, as you can see, the upper part and move forward a bit more. Okay? How would it be? It's continuous. See over here. We would actually have the upper eyelid there. The eyelashes would grow out of see like this. So this would be the upper eyelid. Then I'll come down. Iris would be completely aligned with this front part of our Drop. See, this would be my iris completely aligned. Then this would be the lower area that here we would have the lower eyelid where the lower eyelashes are going to grow. Then from here we come up. And then again aligned with this lying sideways, we'll create deadline for the upper eyelid. And then I'll create another line parallel to the line below it. To create the upper eyelids completely. Then I'll have the pupil here inside of the iris. And this would be the lower eyelid over here. Okay. In this way, in this angle are eyebrow would a start from here. It will come very shortly, and from here it will be curved. See, here would be the curved part of the eyebrow. The curving of the eyebrow would be starting exactly as the placement of our iris. If you want to do some comparings, you can easily see that It's really easy, my dear friends, you should just practice on it a lot over and over again. I don't mean you should created in only these three angles, you can create different shapes of eyes in different angles and positions. Well, the shading is pretty much the same. We'll just first shade, the IRS will just apply a very light, dark shade on the eye ball. Over here. I'll shade the lower eyelid from the corners. And when I get to the center, I'll make it a bit lighter. Then I'll move on to the upper eyelid. Again, starting from the corner of the eye. And applying this darkness on the eyelid should also have some shadings over here to show actually the eye cavity, which goes up to hit D eyebrow. And over here would be the permanent parts below the eyebrow that goes lighter comparing to other parts. Here we go. Alright. The last remaining part would be the eyelashes. And exactly as we did on the three phases view, we would apply the eyelashes in this way, turning this way. So here we will have the eyelashes and as you can see on the corner, some of them might even come turn inside of the eye. And the would be the lower eyelashes as well. Just work on the eyebrows a bit more. And my work is done here. 5. How to draw a nose (three angels): Hello again and welcome to another episode of sketching with me. This time, my dear friends, we are going to see how we can create and nose. Well, again, we are going to observe it and created in three different angles and a front view in a three-phase says view. And of course in a side view or in the profile. Okay? First of all, we're going to start with the front view. Okay? Anyways, for creating the nose in all three angles, we need a straight line, like this. Straight horizontal line, better to say. Okay? So this would be the straight line we need for this sort of your work. This way for creating the nose, I need three circles. A big circle here, smaller one over here, and a smaller one on the right. So I need a big circle in the middle and two smaller ones on each side. And then we will put them together like this. Then between these two circles, I'm going to create a curved down like this. So basically I'm connecting these parts together and these would be exactly our nostrils. Then I will align it with this lower part of the middle circle. So I will connect these two side parts to each other. Okay? Now we're going to work on the sides of the nose with a bit distance from the nostril. I'm going to create the side of the nose. And the nostrils are very different. In each person. Someone might have a short nostrils, the small ones, some other one can have big nostrils or deep ones though. That's different from each person. So this is actually knows from the front view. Now, I'm actually going to lighten the circles that I've created in the beginning. And then I'll use my B6 pencil to create some shadings for nanos. Because we have some shadow below this nose and it's actually the shadow of the tip of the nose. It will be dark on the size of the nodes would also have dark shadings. Because it's actually carved below and on the lower area. It will be shaded like this. Okay. Now we're going to work on the nose itself. I mean, this would be the tip of the nose and these are the sides of the nose. So this permanent parts should be lighter comparing to the parts which are more carved in and darker. This part of the nose, because it's the tip of the nose. It would be shaded, but not as much as the darker parts because it's more prominent. The darkness will go around the circle. I will have the nose bridge over here. And again on this side, I'll have another nose bridge. And as you can see, the other side of the nose bridge should be created as well. And that's what's it about? Here we go. Alright. Well, wherever it needs more darkening, I'd be applying it. For example, these parts need more shading. These curves in parts on the side of the nose or on the sides of the nose bridge. Because it knows itself it's prominent but the sides of it, obviously not. Alright. So this is a general shape of creating and nose and a front view. Then I would also have to apply the light of my work. And again I say, of course, the nose bridge. And then we will have some shine over here on the tip of the nose, which is normal, you know. Because as I said before, this part is very prominent. So you'll have some shine on it. It would be lighter comparing to the other parts. Okay. Now we are going to create the nose in a three faces view. Alright. Again, we're going to get help from these circles over here. I'll create my circle a little bit more above the line that I've created in the beginning. Alright? Create another circle over here. It will lower area. So this circle on this side is also similar to an oval and it's a bit lower than the other one. As I said before, I'll be creating another circle behind this one. I mean, a part of it goes behind. And you can see the placement of these three circles next to each other. Then we can move on to create the actual nodes. You see this nose, sorry, this circle which is more above the line and in the middle would be our nose tip. So I'll just created with almost a 30 degrees angle and I'll bring it down like this. This would be the nose tip. Over here. I would have the nostril, the left nostril, of course. What would we do for this area? Come down. And then from here, right from here, see, this is my left nostril, exactly right next to it. Parallel to this area will create and Austria for this side of the nose. And then from this lower part will come over here. We'll turn it and go up. Okay, So basically in the three faces, we can see one of the nostrils completely and the other would be seeing a little. And then we just continue the nose tip up to create the nose bridge. Then we're going to erase these extra lines and then we will apply the shadings. And as you can see, this is my nostril over here. You see when you erase the extra lines and when you edit your work, you just connect your lines together. Everything would just look better. This would be believed in those. And over here would be the shadings. Alright. I'll just darken and Austria completely. This would be the lower part of the nose tip, so it would be a bit darker. This part is actually below the nose and it cannot be seen and it doesn't receive any light relay. So it would be dark because it's in the bottom. Alright. And then again from here, I will come down until behind this nostril. And then we will have a very light shading on this side. And then we will create the shadings for the nose bridge. Here we go. Over here, we have darkness. And because this side of the nose is in the dark area, it would be shaded darker because again, it's on the other side of the nose. We can not see too much of it. And obviously it's behind the Nancy abandon as bridge, so it would be darker in any case. Alright, here we go. Just like that. Okay? Again, I would apply some darkness over here. Therefore, you can understand it better. You can understand the prominent parts better. This is a nose in a three faces view. How are we going to create it in a side view? Well, over here, we'll create a circle like that. And another one right next to it. So basically we cannot see the third part of the nose, the third circle, and we only have two circles for the nodes this time. Then from this lower area, I'll align it with this semicircle me with the bottom part of the circle. I'll come up. And this would be the tip. Then I'll bring it up to create the nose bridge. Okay? This distance between these two circles would be actually my nostril singular because we only see one of them. Then over here we can have this side of the nose. Just as easy as this. We can actually shaded. See from here. From here, which would be the lower part of the nose will have actually a dark side below the nose. And on this side of the nose. That's actually the news, all the nasal septal. Then I'll shade it from here. And as you can see, I've got the whole thing. And the shading is pretty much easy because we can only see half of the nose from the side. And I think on the side view would be the easiest angle. For the nose. You can only create one nostril and that's it. Okay. And that's just, it. Just shaded easily. This is a creation of the nose in three different angles. 6. How to draw lips (three angels): Hello again. Welcome to another episode of sketching with me. In this episode, we're going to create the lips in three different angles. Front view, side view. And of course, the three faces view for creating your mouth or basically the lips, exactly as we did for the nose. We need a horizontal straight line. So first I'm going to create this, my horizontal straight line. Alright? Then I will start from the lips of the front view. For creating the lips. In a front view, you see, my dears. I will create a small circles right next to each other over here, and they should be aligned with the line below them. I mean, there should be exactly on the line. The bottom of them should be aligned with the line. Then on the lower part of the line below the line, I will create two ovals next to each other. Just like that. Alright? In this upper area between these two circles, I will create this curved area, which would be the curved part in our upper lip. And then I will go over the top part of the circles and then I bring it down the line I've created here. Alright? Then I will bring the corners a little bit low. I'll go above these two ovals. See, I come down and then I go up the walls and I just meet in the middle. And the lower part is really easy. Get to these two ovals. I mean, I come down from their sides and then I connect the ending of the parts. At the bottom. I come down from the sides and then I connect them. After death. Be erasing all these extra lines and shapes of my work. And here we go. We have beautiful lips. Again, you should know that lips come in different sizes and different shapes. What I'm creating here for you, our normal eyes, normal noses, and normal lips. But remember that you can also change it to yourself based on the model you want to create. I can work on the corners of the lips a bit more and now I'm going to start shading it. I will apply shading for this lower area. And then I will come to shade the lips themselves. The size would be darker and a prominent parts which are mostly in the middle, would be lighter. It's the same over here. Then from here it will be the same. Because these two parts are very prominent. Parts of the lips would be left as light as they can. Then I will shade around it. And then I'll shade this area right below the lips. Then again, I'd be working on these lines. Here are the darkness below the lips. And also we have a curved part above the upper lip, which I've created over here as well. Now, I'm going to create the lifts in the three faces view. So again, exactly, I'll do the same. I'll create two circles right next to each other. For the ovals which are below the line. Create one of them is smaller on this side and the other one would be bigger on the right side. As you can see, k done, I'd be working over here. I'll create this shaped area on the upper lip, above the upper lip. Then again, I come from here, I come down, I go up again. You see, this is my oval over here. Just like that. I'll go above it. I come down again and over here, I'll have the corner of the lip as I did for my previous model as well. Previous angle better say Dan from the top, I'll connect it to this corner. Well, in this view and then this angle, I will create the lower lip just like that. And as you can see, and it's very obvious, we can only see one corner of the lips. The other one cannot be seen. So after dad, again, I'll be erasing the extra lines inside of my work or around them. And my dear friends, you should create these circles and ovals very, very lightly so that when you erase it, you would not leave any trace right here because I want it to be visible for you in the video. I'm just creating them a bit darker, but if you are going to do it for yourself, remember to do them a lot more lightly so you want to leave any trace after erasing them. This way you will not have any problems. Do shadings denied, be shading this area? I will shade the corners of the lips and allow move forward. Also, a curved area here in the middle. And then this would be the shading for below the lips. Okay. Dan, I'll be keeping these prominent parts on our beautiful lip as light as we can. Not untouched, but we're going to give them very lightly. Then the third view, which is actually the side view. In order to create that first, I'll create a sideways line, steeps line. Then based on this, I'll create an oval like this and another one below the line like that. Then I will come down from here. I will stick it to this sideway lines and I come down. This is basically my upper lip. I just create some curves over here to make it more beautiful. Then I will get the lower lip from here. I'll connect it again to this line, to this sideways line, and this would be the lower lip. Okay. Just as easy as that. Then I'll be starting the shadings from this corner of the lips. Corner of the mouth. And then again from here it will it will be shaded again, mostly round the edges and not so much in the middle. This would be the lip and side view, which is the easiest of them all. Next, we are going to work on a beautiful position style of a face. 7. How to draw an ear: Hello my dear friends and welcome to another and a new episode of sketching with me. This time. We're going to create ears together. I want to show you how you can create ears very simply and easily. Well, my dear friends, you know, some might say the ear is look like a question mark or something like that. Or maybe it looks like a nine. So I'm going to tell you the general shape of it. I want to create two ears, simply first as the shape of a nine number. Very, very easily and normally so we have a nine like this. Now, what is number nine? We wanted to create a shape of our year. So it goes up like this. It would be actually the part which the ear has been separated from the face, from this line out would be our face. So from here we will come up. We will make this shape over here on the top. And then we come down. Then I'll create a very slight curve over here, very, very slightly. Then again, we come out and I'll come up, up to here. Then from here up to now, we've got the general shape of it, the number nine. So now I'm going to erase that nine because I don't want it to be in my way. So after you've got the general shape of the ear, I can start and create the inner parts of the ear. First of all, I should continue this line parallel to the outer line. And I will create this inner part of the ear. From here I'll come down. And then from here I'll come toward inside of the air. As any other different parts of the body, ears are really, really different. I mean, we have lots of variety in the shape of the ears. This is a very simple and a normal example of a, of an ear Israeli symbol. This is a general shape, but we have some differences in details of the ear. Especially in old people's ears. They would have so many differences and details changed. So I'll just bring it inside. And from here I'll come down and I'll connect it to this area. Here. It would look like this. Over here we'll have another prominent part. Over here. I'll have a curve which I'll show where the shading. Here we've had another curve and another one over here. Okay? And here I'll have a strong curve. And then I will have a strong darkness that V-shape like this. Actually it would be the ears hole, so it should be shaded completely. Alright, here we go. This area is actually would be the face. Now we're going to start the shading and get the volume out of this two-dimensional ER that we've already created over here, he can get to your shadings with your B6 pencil or B12, I choose to work with B2v pencil. First, I'm going to sharpen it pretty well. Then, wait my being 12 pencil, I will darken these dark parts of the work. Okay, So I be applying these darkness over here. You should not afraid of creating this shades. Not at all. You shouldn't be afraid of to apply your darkness and shade wherever you want. If you don't have enough darkness and light, you can not get the contrast correctly. Therefore, you will not have a good outcome and a good result. It will not give you the volume and the shape that you want. Bottom line is that if you miss it up in any way, if you just made a mistake with the darkest spots, you can create another one from the beginning because now you're just practicing on different parts. You're not working on the whole picture. And you should practice it over and over again until you are comfortable with it. And then you can move on to create complete faces. So do not be afraid and apply your darkness wherever you see any curves like that. Just like that. And then I would also have to create a general shading over here. I mean, I don't want to leave these parts untouched, but as you can see in a normal ear or rehab also prominent part so we don't want to make them too dark, but we don't want to leave them untouched. So I just give it a general light shading. Consider all the curves here, and then I adjust my shadings based on the curves and prominent parts. I'll make the shadings darker or lighter, depends where they are going to be. Considered the outer part of my ear, I'll darken it so I can actually separated from my work's background. Okay. I'll shade over here very simply. I'll do it with very light shading. I'm just applying the darkness and the shadings very precisely wherever I need them into curves. Again, in these parts, I would be applying more darkness because I need it. This is actually the ears hole and I have the strongest darkness over here. So this part would have darkness. And the strongest darkness of course. And it would be the darkest place of our whole ear, because it's the ears whole. So the shedding should be strongest. As you can see how just black and it. Then over here we will have a light shading because I want to create more contrast. And it will continue up to here, a light shading. Okay? Then we should also give more dimension to this side of our ear as well, because this side has been untouched, but I am going to shade it in order to give it some more dimension. Make some volume out of it. See my dear friends, these courses that you are experiencing right now and you're studying is actually the beginner courses. And it would be actually really easy for you. We're going to move on to step-by-step. Right now, because this is a beginner course, you only have to use one or two simple tools with creating amine, creating your work with only one or two pills, sell one or two eraser. Creating the general shapes and some details and the placement of the shadings in order to create the volume and dimension. But remember that if you want to, for example, if you were more experienced. And if you move on to the advanced courses, you should have used faders, charcoals, and so many brushes, so many other different tools. And you would actually be creating more professional work. In the beginner courses. You don't meet them and might actually ruin your work because then you would be dependable on them if you start with them only. So do not use extra tools all by yourself in the beginning courses. In begun our courses. Some of you might be curious, some of you might like to work with. Different tools are more tools. I do not recommend it at all. You might hear it from some people that they sell. Why are you doing good? But only one pencil? Know, this course is actually a basic course. And then you're going to learn. You can do it. You can do a sketching without any specific tools. This is actually working on your scales precisely. This is how you learn. You can blend the shadings into each other without a fader. You see, I'm just using this pencil, holding it this way almost horizontally. And as you can see this time, I'm applying softer shading so I can blend all of my shadings together instead of using a fader. So be aware of that. You do not need to copy models exactly as they are, or making them as realistic as they are. The main goal of the courses that now you're proceeding like these beginner courses in basic courses, again, I say is just the placement of everything to general shapes, the placement of shadings to contrast how they are done and get the volumes correctly. Don't beat yourself up right now. But as you move on and step into intermediate courses or even advanced courses later, that would be a different thing. So I'll be just doing it very slowly. And something I should tell you, my friends is that if I'm going to finish drawing in 20 minutes or 30, it doesn't mean that you should do it the same way. I'm just doing it faster in order. I can teach you more in a limited time. But when you want to do it at home, you should spend a lot more time on it. You should do it over and over again, and you should take your time with each part. Should practice a lot. I came to this place after years and years of practicing, so don't give up. Then I'll get a part of my eraser making it this way. Shape it as the shape of a drop as you can see. And then I'll go over some places and I'll create lights. In some parts of my work. I'm just actually creating lights and I'm also fading my shadings all together simultaneously. Alright. And then over here, it would look like this. Okay? Then I would want to work with my eraser. Dan, LB. Actually, I am applying a stronger lights there. You should not erase all of your shadings or all of the parts you've created. I'm just creating some random, almost random lights in the places which I think are more prominent so I can create more shine and more contrast and more volume in my work. Here we go in this way. So over here, wherever I feel like I needed, I'm using my eraser, my answer eraser to create stronger lights. Yet again, I will want to work on my normal pencil. Sorry my friends. The camera moved for a second. Then my normal pencil. I will work on these parts completely and shape them completely. So I'd be applying cohesive shadings. Alright, here we go. Okay. Well, my ear is created by now. I hope you've enjoyed it and it was useful for you. 8. Drawing another nose: Hello, and welcome to a new episode of sketching with me. Well, this time in this episode we're going to create noses again. As I told you before, in the same way we're going to create our main and our primary sketch off the nose, as I told you before, we'll, we're going to create a straight line and three circles. Let me just place it a bit toward this side. Would be more in the middle. My dear friends is better for you to use your HB pencil, meaning your normal pencil. For sketching, for your primaries sketches. Then two circles would be on the sides. If you want to be even more professional, except this, you can create another circle over here for the tip of your nose. See here. Basically, this would be the part below dinner sip. Here we would have then those sip itself. You should just look at it in a dimensional way. You can do it or you can just not do it. I wanted to tell you. So if you've seen it anywhere, you wanted to try it, you'd be able to. Now, I'm going to create the shape of the nose itself. Here I would have one nostril. And here would be another nostril that I would have. Right. Which actually the part between these two parts would be our nasal septum. Then we would want to work on the sides of the nose with this angle, of course. Okay. Do you remember that I told you about this circle at the beginning, this would be our nurse tip. As I told you before. This would be the part which would actually get less shadings into shaming phase because it's an tip knows, I mean, it's sorry, no step and it would receive more alive. It's the most prominent part of it, and that's it. I'm just going to make it lighter right now. Therefore, when we want to create our shadings, we would not face any problems. I wanted to start with my normal pencil. I'd be starting from here, these lower parts of the nose. And I will start my shadings very, very lightly and softly. So these lower parts of the nose would be the darkest parts of the nerves except for the nostrils. So basically these parts are very dark because they have the shadow of the nose itself on them. And as you can see, who will have more shadings here? I'll make this area darker so it would be separated from the rest of the nose. Then, as I told you before, the nostrils should be darkened as much as we can. These would be the darkest in general. You see, my dear friends, this area would be dark area, so I would have to shade this area more. This as I've determined for you, should be shaded more based on the placement of it. And as we move up, we're going to make it lighter. And of course, as we move to the center of the nose or basically the nose tip, that will be it. Okay. So very, very slowly, we would be shading it. And over here I would have some more shadings, some more darkness better to say. This area below the no steps should also be darkened. And moving on just like this. So I would also shade the nose tip a little. I don't do too much. I just did a very, very lightly because it's a really prominent area. So here we go. I will shade the size of the nose on the nose bridge. Again, as you can see, I am doing light shadings. Even on the sides of the nose bridge. See, my dear friends, you should do it very easily and you should not be afraid. So just like that, you can do it. You just need to know where to apply your shadings exactly and how much of the shadings you should apply. This is also very important. Right? Now. It's the time to work on the darker shades. I would actually want to work with my pencil and start my shadings with that. Then I would apply darker shades with my B pencil this time. Alright. Heron is just like that. Let's shade these areas. And wherever I need a stronger darkness, I'm going to use my pencil and I will create darker shades. Even on the sides of the nose bridge. I need to do that. The procedure Israeli simple and easy. The only thing it needs from you is to take your time with it. I spend more time on it. Do it several times, of course, Martin, one's even more than ten times sometimes. And also, it needs you to be careful and precise. It's time to use our eraser and I am going to work it on the lighter areas in order to show the lights on the prominent parts. And at the same time, I will blend some of my shadings into one another. Like over here, I am blending the shadings and then just like that too prominent parts would just pop out very easily. Then again, I'll take my B pencil. I will just do some editing on my work, doing some touch ups. And just like that, I'd become plating the nodes. I can even take my editor eraser and go forward to a stronger lights. I'm just constantly switching with my pencil and eraser. You see these lights that are over here and you can see these shines as darker as your pencil is. These lines. You can have these shines in your work. If you don't want it to be shiny, you can use at Armenia graph pencils. But I didn't know It's really suggested for your primary works, for your basic beginner works. If you wanted to do it in a realistic way. You can use mimeograph. Black pencils. I mean, this is a lemma, graph. Blue pencil. The tip is black, but this some of it, the body of it is blue, but limit graph. And black pencils with black bodies are suitable for you if you don't want any shine in your work. But as I told you before, like at work in our work, you might have some shine because the darker your pencil gets, I hope you've enjoyed it and see you again. 9. Drawing different lip shapes: Hello again and welcome to another and another episode of sketching with me. Well, this time in this episode we're going to create lifts in different angles and different views are basically it's better to say we are going to create different shapes of the lips. Smile and lips mouth with the tongue coming out and lots of different other things. We want to see how we can create the main dealers shapes and also how we can shape them in those shapes. First, we want to create a normal closed mouth. Closed lips. This lip is going to be sideway a little, so I'll get my normal pencil. I will create a plus sideways. As you can see, this is a plus, not a straight. Okay. I'd have the curved area on my upper lip over here and I'm not going to create the circles anymore because you should practice over the basics. So now that you can do it without the primary circles, if you want, you can create them. But I'm just going to save some time and eliminate data sip. From here. I'll come down and I'll do the same from this side, ib coming down, matching this corner. And because it's kind of in a three faces view, I'll come toward inside from here to give it a shape that the lips are a little bit open and I can see two of the tooth. I mean, to have the teeth, sorry. So I'll just create a slight beautiful curve on the lower part of the upper lip. Then I'll create a space. Over here. I'll create the rest of the lower lip. Okay. Then from here I'll be coming down with an angle like this to create, you know, the lower lip. And I'll just go up again. Here we go. Then after I've created the general shape, I'll be erasing the extra lines of my work so that if I want to start shading, it will make a problem for me. And there it is. Here I would have the two teeth that I've told you about because the lips are bit open, we can see two of the teeth. But still it's a normal, a normal mouth. In a three-phase says View. And here it is. Okay. Now I want to start shading it, starting from the edges and corners. First, I'm going to fade the lines that I've created for my lips. I don't want it to look like a frame, so I have to get it out of its linear shape. So I'm going to shade all around the edges on the lines in order to FAPE them. And here we go. I'll shade it pretty well. Just like that. I'm fading all the lines I have here, you see they don't, they no longer look like lines. When you fade them and blend them with your shadings. The lower parts of the lip would obviously be darker. As it moves toward the center, it would get lighter because it would be more prominent. Alright. Then actually I'm going to darken inside of the mouth as well. I mean, between the lips. And the teeth, you will have a darkness that we would consider. Alright? And then just give a very, very light shade to the teeth themselves. And I want them to be dark. I just give them a very light shade in order not to leave them untouched. And then from the lower parts of the limb above the teeth, I have to create my shadings toward the center of the lip. Very good, prominent. And I'll do the same thing for the lower lip this time. From below the teeth, I will go down towards the center of the lower lip. And because it's more prominent, my shadings would get lighter as I move forward. Until I hit this corner. I can also darken this area a bit more around the edges. But then again, as you can see, I'm keeping this center part, the central part, lighter in general. Okay, My dear friends, you should do your shadings on the lips based on the volume that it has. I mean, you should not create the shading for your lips in a straight lines. You should do them curved because as you are shaving, you're also giving your work volume and dimension. Lips are curved and puffy a little. And when you want to shape them, you should use the right direction and you should shave them with curved lines. Notice straight ones. I can pick my pencil in order to create darker shadings. Then the shading just below the lips. The shadings above the lips. Just in order to show that it is coming out of something, out of a face, out of a background. I'll get my eraser and I will apply some lights. I will just erase around the lips. Perfectly. I apply the lights in my work in order to create both shines on, of course, a good contrast with the lights. For my labs to get a better contrast and better volume. This is the first lip which is actually applied in a three faces view, but it's almost fairly normal mouth. With normal lips, they are just a little bit open and we can see two teeth and that will be the face. Now we will not want to work on on it right now. Okay, for executing the lips. And the second way, we are going to shank pits in a different way. I want to create it a bit wide-open. First, I will definitely create a straight line. Then. Just like that, I create another plus. Okay. So if I had to create a, the curve of the upper lip, upper here because our mouth is opened this time, I would be placing the curve for the upper lip over here. Then right from here I can find the corners of the lips. So this would be actually the width of the mouth. Then from the top, I will connect it to the points I've created on this slide in order to create the open mouth. And I've already determined the width of my mouth. Then consider this area which is actually in the middle. And then I will go a bit more above. Then with a beautiful curve, I'll bring it down and I'll connect it to those dots again. This would actually shaped my whole upper lip. Okay. So here we go, creating the upper lip. As you can see it. Also in this slip. It would also be in a three faces view. So it will it can come toward inside. I'll close this area after that. Right here. Let me just create this line first. And we wouldn't not create the lower lip too much far away from the line because that would be too much open. Then the mouth would be open a lot. So a slight distance, I create the upper part of the lower lip and then again from the corners, I would come down to shape the lower part of the lower lip. Again, I say this slip is also in a three phases view, so just the shape of it and its position would be different nodes it's view. They would also have two more teeth. And I can also create the tongue. Because the mouth is open. We can see the tongue inside of it. Just as easy as that. You've got the mouth and the lips that you wanted. Then I'd be erasing all these extra lines or extra points. Then we can move on to create the rest of our work. I want to create this side a bit like that in order to emphasize on its three phases view. Okay. Now my dear friends for shading it, I'm going to do exactly the same as I did for my previous lips. So first, I've lightened my lines as you should do. Then IPS starting my shadings on the edges in order to fade the actual lines for my lips because I don't want any specific lines in my work. There should be all shadings. I have, just get it out of its linear shape. So I'm using my pencil in order to shade all around the edges. And of course, it would be shaded in other parts two. Okay. Then as I said before, you should actually create your shadings based on the prominent parts of your lips. So you're shading should be harmed. They should be in the direction of your lip. So it should be created from curved lines. And also in these areas my shadings would be darker if you can see. But again, as I'm shading, I'll not forget about the direction and the shape of the shadings in order to show that texture and that volume of the lips perfectly. In the center, the lips would be more prominent. And here we go. Because the whole lips are, the whole mouth is curved. I'm going to apply it in my shadings. Okay? Then again from this side, I'll do the same based on the texture and the volume of the lips. I would apply them on the sides and on the corners coming toward the center. Okay. I be shading from the slower areas just like that. Here we go. Okay. Now what I'm going to do, my dear friends, I will actually get my edged eraser in my hand, pick it up. And then I will shade this upper area. I will shape this upper area with my eraser. I'll create some light in it with a very, very slight distance with the line for the lips. Just like that. See this beautiful contrast will actually make my lip more prominent and it would be really beautiful. And you should do it very, very small and lightly. It doesn't need to be seen too much. Then again, from the top over here, I will keep a distance. C, keep a distance, and I'll come down again. Then from here, I will also shade up this shading that goes toward the background. We'll actually even make more volume to your work. It shows that your lips are basically your mouth is coming out of somewhere, which is the face. So I'm just going to apply some shadings on the background. Then again, I'll use an entity eraser and I will erase this area pretty well. I'll make it clean and I'll erase it. And then again, I would apply some are shines for the lips itself, like this. And then again, I can shade it some more. It just looks better and more realistic as you can see. Okay. Okay. Now I want to work on the lower lip as well. From here I'd be applying my dark color to create my shading and obviously fading the lines. And then from these parts, highpass starting my shading overall. And because this area is basically the lower area, should be darker. Of course. It's the same for over here. And then again, it will have a light shading throughout the lower lip. So basically we are getting darker on the edges and around the lip. And when it comes to the center, it will get lighter because we wanted to show that this is a prominent part. And this way we can give more volume to our work. Okay? So this is a shading for the lower part of the lips. Now, the only thing left is just inside of the mouth. That first I'd be separating the teeth area and then I would apply the outer darkness. You see. And I come more towards the tongue. I will listen this darkness and I will basically lighten my shadings. And then we can even see several teeth on the lower area. And also from here, I'd be shading upwards a little. Then I'd be having a very light shading for the teeth. And that's it. Okay. Then I'll get my eraser. And I'd be applying the lights on the lip as I did for the upper lip. I'll just do it. No lower lip and also on teeth. Maybe even a bit on the tongue. Here we go. That's the mouth. And the lips in a different shape. 10. Lip and mouth draw: Hello and welcome to another episode with me. Okay. This time, again, we're going to create different shapes of the lips and different mouth. This time, I want to create a laughing or smiling mouth. First of all, I'd be creating a line. And because my mouth is sideways, I'll create my line also sideways is straight but it's sideways. I mean, it's not curved. If you pay attention, we are laughing or smiling, the width of the lips would actually extend. So when I create this curved area above or at the top of the upper lip, I'll make my lip stretch a bit more. Then over here I'll create a line almost straight like this. And then from here, see my friends. This area would be the upper teeth, the upper row of teeth. And then from here down would be our lower lip. And then I'll actually make it sideways too because I want to create the tongue as well. See, then again, from here with a small distance, I'll create the lip itself. See, just like that. Now, if I want to make him more precise for you, these would be the teeth. Let me just create them more beautifully. Here we go. And obviously as the teeth are moving toward the corners of the mouth, they would look smaller. And I don't want to work on this side very well because the tongue would be covering the teeth and they cannot be seen right from here from the second tooth, I'll bring the tongue up. This would be the tip of the tongue. And then I'll bring it down over here. Here. I would have the area beneath the tongue or basically under the tongue. And then I'd be erasing all the extra lines of my work so I wouldn't know the general shape of this mouth and lips. You see how easy it was to do the primary sketch. You just have to be precise about the angles and the shapes. Other than that creating the lips are really, really easy. Some people might have so much problems with creating the lips or nose. But if you practice it over and over again, it can definitely in 100% solve your problems. Just the angles are important in the issue of lips and mouth. You should create them in different shapes and different angles. You should make mistakes obviously and edited again. So don't worry that if you do it once or twice and you'll get it wrong, you cannot do so to all. Making mistakes, especially in primary sketching or generally in painting, will actually help you to become a professional. Alright, then I want to work on my shadings. I'll get my normal pencil. And obviously as usual, I start from the corners. I'll be applying this shadings like that. And also from this corner. I would have to shade again. Here we go. I'd be fading the lines on the edges of the lips. And then I'll get the shape of the lips out of its linear or framework shape. Over here, I'd be having a strong darkness on the corner of the mouth. And then I would work on this area which is the gum beneath the lip and above the teeth, they should be dark. The gum should be dark over here. Just like that. Then I'll come beneath the teeth and I'll be darkening them as you can see. And then as I get toward the tongue, I will lessen the darkness. I mean, I would have to create lighter shadings. Then I'll bring the darkness from inside of the mouth toward the tongue. But when it gets to tongue, it would be really light. Just like that. Here we go. So I'd be applying the darkness on the tongue with shading. I loved this shape of the lips. I mean, I love creating the shapes of the lips and the mouth. And for many phases that I create, I actually use this model and this is style. Then I'd be applying more darkness on the lower part of the lower lip. Basically, the lower part of the mouth. Up to here. Here we go. Then be shading in the direction of the lab. Do not forget that. You should always apply your shadings in the direction of your lab. I mean in the direction of your lip being created, which is curved and prominent, especially in the middle. Here we go. Also be applying some of the shadings for the teeth. Then I would also be applying a light over here below the lip. And as you can see, I'm using my eraser. In order to do that. Then I would be applying some lights on the lips themselves in order to make the contrast that is needed. Okay, here we go. Okay. Then I'd be also applying some are lights for the tongue error to make it more interesting and make their contrast better to get a better volume out of it. So here we go. That says, and I'm just going to do some more touch ups with my shadings or even my lightings. That depends on you. Wherever you feel your work needs more darkness or light. You can apply it at anytime until the end of your work. Then I would also shade around the mouth a little in order to create a background. Then I'll use my eraser again to go all over the lips and make it lighter. Again as I did for my previous model, this can actually make your lips pop out. What I also want to work on it a bit more. This curved part above the upper lip. And my dears is good if you apply some darker spots. So your work looks better just like that. Here we go, That's it. This is the end of our work. I hope you've enjoyed it and it was useful for you. 11. Completing the draw of lips and mouth: Hello again and welcome to another episode of creating lips with me. Okay. We've decided that in this episode, I'm going to teach you another shape of the lips. Decide I want to create a mouth that is biting the lips can be used in any different occasion. In this case, again, I'm going to create a straight line. Then I'll create this curve at the top of the upper lip. And then again, very normally I'll come down usual. But the point is that when one part of the coroner would be closed like that, this part of the lips corner will come down. Actually, it comes below the line, would be ended over here. Then I'll come up above the line and I'll get them together. Now, if you want to try it with your lips, you can understand that the lip would go up a little unusual. And then this side of the lips would be like that. And then from here, I'll create a straight line. And because the lower lip would be actually a stretched, this would look like completely straight. Because the lower lip would be stretched. Then I'll erase this part a little because I want to bring the lower lip on the upper lip covering a part of it. It comes down and it would look like this. Then it looks like the lip is being bit. And I would also want to show the two teeth. Now time for us to apply shadings on our work. Well, I'm going to use the same pencil to start shading in the direction of the lip. Going. Then from here, that I would have the darkest area of the lip. I will continue toward the center. And as I get to the center, I'll make them lighter. And of course, as the previous models, I tried to shade around the edges to blend the lines as well. Okay. So it would be easily shaded. Again, the procedure of the shading is like the other models. It's just **** mount of it might be different in some parts. Okay. This part of the lip would be the darkest because it's the lower part of the lip is actually the under part of the lip. It would be too dark. These parts would be faded just like that. This lower area would also be in shade, shaded, as you can see. So here we go. Okay. As you can see, I even kept some light, but it would not be enough. So I will actually use my eraser. I'll bring it all around the upper lip. And then I apply a shading around the lips just to create a background. Then again, I'll use my eraser to create a contrast over here to create this beautiful light line above the upper lip. Therefore, I can get a volume out of it. Then above this area that I've just erase my pencil, I'll create a bit darker shadings to make the contrast even stronger. Okay. This lower part of the lip would also be darkened. Here we go. Just like that. I would also shade this area. And I would also darken this area more because I want to show that this part of the lip has gone lower than it should be, might even applied. Some shadows. Anyway, it would be shaded. I will apply the lights and the Schein's wherever possible. So that's what we'll get. Alright, so just as easy as that. Now you've learned how to create four different shapes of mouth and lives in four different angles. Also shade the teeth a bit. And here we're done. This was the last shape that I've taught you. I hope you've enjoyed it and it was useful for you. 12. Sketch of the head in different angles: Hello, and welcome to another episode of sketching with me. Well, up to here, I've taught you how to create different parts of the face, different components. Now we are going to work on the face completely, but before that we've yet have one more step to cover. We have to know how our skull is going to be in different angles and in different shapes. As you can see, I've created several circles over here. We want to observe the shape of the skull in different shapes. And with the help of these circles, I'm going to create different heads on the front view, side view, three phases view facing up, facing down, and so on. First of all, I'm going to teach you about the three phases view. When you create a circle. C, you'll create a smaller circle over here. The circle that I tell you'll create here is actually dependable based on the angle of your face. Can be as the shape of an oval or a circle or be smaller or bigger. So I align this circle to this side of my bigger circle. That actually, because we are working in a three phases view, that circle would look like an oval. Actually it would be an oval. Then I'd be dividing this oval into four parts, C. And then just as easy as that. And just in this same order, I will divide all my circle. I mean, the bigger one. I would also create a line from below my second oval. And because my face is in a three faces view, IP creating a straight line over here. To show the center of the face. From here I'll come down and I'll connect it to this line. And this would be actually the chin. This is our jaw bone. I'll connect it to here to complete the jaw. This is the three faces view of a human's head. The upper part was the skull, and the lower part is the jaw. And this would be the neck. This is how you create a face or basically a head in your three phases view. Alright, now, the next angle that we want to work on is the one facing down. So it's a face in a three-phase says view. But it's facing down a little. This time, I'd be applying this oval upper than usual because our head is facing down, this area should be placed higher. Again, I will separate my circle and my oval into four different parts. And now parallel to this one, I'll create my faces line. That from over here I should connect it to this and this would be the angle of the jaw. Okay. So this is a head and a three faces view which is facing down. Just like that from here. And that's it. See, just as easy as that. It's really, really easy. The next angle that I'm going to teach you is basically ahead, which is on the side view and it's facing up. So when you're creating ahead, in a side view, this circle is a lot, lot bigger. It almost complete. And obviously it's aligned with the first circle that we've created. So it's a two here for now. And then I want to create the head facing up this time. Therefore, I will do this separation of my circles sideways and facing up. Okay, then I bring it out of this circle. I mean, from below the circle as well, just like that. And now becoming down as the same measurements. And this set I've told you before is actually it would be the jaw. This is actually our chin. Obviously, the back of the skull so easily. Now from here, from behind this circle, I will create the rest of the neck. This way our head is a bit tilted upward. The next angle which I'm going to teach you is the head which is tilted to decide. You see, over here we'll create a circle. Then I'll create a three-phase says View, head tilted. Again. We will separate and divide the circle into four parts. So k up to now, so same old k. Then it goes like that. And it should be parallel to this line. Remember that from here as the amount of this, I'll come down with the same measurements amine here I would have the size of the jaw. Here to here would be the chin area. See my dear friends, this is the chin area that this part of the jaw would be actually on the other side of the head. So on detail view will have this skull and on the bottom, you will have to Joe. Alright. I want to create a head which is almost three phases view. I mean, it's actually something between a front view and a three phases view. It's more toward the front view. And as much as our head and our face turns from the side view toward the front view. This circle will actually look more like an oval. So you will actually be separated into four parts. Okay. It comes to the left side, and because the face is actually a bit toward left, I will not create it completely. And my face comes down as the amount of this height and it will connect to this area to create the chin. Again, I say as your face turns more from the side view toward the front view, this circle would be smaller, looking more like an oval. Okay, here we go. And we've created the next outlast. My dear friends with the same, actually with the same trick. You can create lots and lots of different positions, styles, and angles from the head. Next time I'm going to tell you how you can create the face competence in the right part. 13. Face proportions: Hello everyone and welcome to a new episode of sketching with me. Well, as I told you before in this part, we're going to see how we can create the face competence and correct proportion and also in the correct spot. In order to do that my friends for so we'll create a circle. Then we will create a line aligned with the top of our circle and another with the bottom of our circle. Like this. Okay, So I'm going to create shapes like this. And something I should tell you about is that right now to proportions and I'm going to teach you, is in a three faces view. I've chosen the hardest. Therefore, the easiest would be really nothing for you. So I am creating my head and face communism in three phases view, okay, then I'd be dividing here as the center of my circle. I would actually divide these areas into three different parts. So overall I have six different areas here. Now, how can I create this circle over here? The circle inside of my circle. I also prayed one part of each side, top and bottom. And the circle I want to work which should be among this area. I mean, it should be between these parts. So I will have to create a circle over here between the first top part and the last part. And it's actually something like an overall because it's in a three phases view. This is how you can create your oval or your circle precisely inside of your head to determine the placement of the skull better. Okay, that's it. Now, I want to show you how you can divide this other part of the face. Let me just make them more in order and organized. And as I told you before in previous episodes, first, I would have to divide this oval into four different parts. Then based on that, I would also have to divide this side of my circle. I mean, the bigger one. Okay. We'll just created a little bit curved so it wouldn't be too straight and it wouldn't be too strict in it, too rigid. Now, I have two equal parts. Do you see this area? This area here and here. So these three lines make, make me two equal parts. Now what do I do for measuring the chin? Well, I would come down exactly as the amount of one of these parts. And then from here, because it's in a three-phase says view from here, I'll dragging a line down and I'll bring it down to here. Let me just measure this to an applied for you. 1 third, 1 third, 1 third. Alright? So from right here, from this area on the bottom of my oval, come down until the end of the circle. And from here, I'll create a straight line so I can start from the center of the oval. And I'll bring it up to here, which makes the chin for me. And if I bring down this circle toward the line that I've created on the bottom. It will create the jaw. From both sides, of course. And this would be the skull. Behind this circle would actually be the placement of my model's hair. Here, I would have the neck. And over here, I'll have my model's hair. You see? It can begin any different style. So don't worry about it right now. I'm just giving you a general inside over. Everything's gonna be okay up to here very, very easily. V could have been able to create different parts of the face. Or basically whether to say different parts of the head. Now, I want to erase some of those lines or maybe not, you should do it. But I'm going to create the face components. This line which has divided oval into half, if continued into the face, would be the placement of our eyebrows. Saint, I'll create a triangle over here. Here. I will have one eyebrow and here another one. I need one on each side. Okay. Let me just sharpened tip of my pen so more because I think it's better when you start working with sharp tips. It will help your work, trust me. So these are the eyebrows which are being completed. This line that has came through the center of the face vertically would be the placement of the nose, obviously. And it will come down from the side of the eyebrows up to here. And of course, we've worked on the nodes and three phases view, so you just have to do that over here. Then we have this second nostril. And there we have it. Okay. Because you see that I've came a straighten up. This would be actually the placement where the AI should be started. Forbearers say, should be created. And actually the distance between the two eyes would be as the amount of one other eye. And we should be really careful that they would be on the same level as each other. So in the size matters as much as the placement and the position that I forgot to tell you is that for here, we will actually have the eye cavity. There is a curved part in our skull where it goes for the eye and then it moves on to the cheekbone, which is actually prominent part. So I actually show it in my face and my work, practically creating it in my sketch as well. Then I'd be working on the eye. And as I said, the size matters, but it can be different from person to person. But for example, the distance between the two eyes is always as the amount of one eye. If it's a normal person. Okay, then this line would actually be the line for the lips. And the mouth, of course. So I'll come from here. And then the corner, the ending corner of the lips and the mouth should come and finish almost in the center of the eye. So this is actually one of the ways you can check if everything is in their correct position. And we've all ready, learned how to create the lips. Don't want to create the lips too thick in that thing, it would be enough. This area would be the chin, obviously. And then I'll get her chin out of its pointy shape. I mean, obviously, the chin should not be angular or sharp. Edges are sharp corners. I just make it round. And this line that you see over here is actually the hairline or the starting of the forehead, which comes down, up to here. And in this area, This quarter of the circle or the oval that we've created. We will create the ear. So this would be the placement of the ear. Okay? I'd be erasing these extra lines. So you can see a general shape of the face very clearly. It's a bit messy now, so I'd be erasing all these guidelines and extra lines. And then it would be easy for you to look at your general sketch. Saint, just with proportions very easily. We've created a general shape of the face. Beginning from the skull and finishing with the whole face. Okay, here we go. Now I can even add some little details over here without going too much into the details. For example, we can work on the eyebrows, make them a bit darker than they are. And also from here, we'd be doing the same. Darkening the eyebrow, just add some touch ups. I'd be also working on the eyes, making them a bit more prettier. I've already told you how to create three faces, view eyes. I mean, right now you shouldn't have so much problem with creating the eyes in this three phases view woman. But of course, the steps to that goes through you practicing the basics over and over again until your hand is really comfortable with them and you'd be needing less guidelines. Then we'll go through the nose. On the nose. Shading get a bit, especially below the nostril or the side of the nose. And the nostrils be completely black. K, Here we go. Okay. Then we can also even shade a bit below her lap. Sorry, her lower eyelids, her eyes. Of course, yes. You should also work on the lips. Then we can actually create some eyelashes to here we are with the eyelashes going on the side of the face. And then we've got to the lips. The mouth of course would be shading it like this. Some are shadings for below the labs, which would be the chin. Obviously now, it should be shaded, so the other things around it should pop out more. And then I apply some slight shading and darkness for this side of the face. Using my edit eraser and my pencil constantly, one after another. And then I emphasize on some more darkness you see, right now, I didn't go into the details too much, but I've just made it a character, a simple one. You would see how it really works. Okay? The hair and we've also worked on the ear so you can apply it on your new character. Maybe for some of you, this would be your first character. This would be actually the placement of the hair. So here we go. They've got her beautifully. And it's almost complete, just adding some touch ups wherever I feel I need them. I would also have to create a faded shape over here. So just easily with creating the proportions and addressing the positions, you can create a simple, beautiful face. 14. Sketch of a boy's face: Hello again and welcome to another episode of a scheduling with me, my dear friends. In this episode, we're actually going to create a complete face together. I'm going to sketch the boy's face. And for starting our sketching first, we should get the measurements and the proportions of the face that I've already taught you before. First of all, you would create a circle. You can do it with any equipment you are more comfortable with. Okay. After I've created my circle, I'm sorry, after I've created my circle, I'll be creating my boy's face, but we should know that his face would be on this side. Therefore, his face is in a three faces view. First, I'd be applying the circle over here. And it's almost going toward being an oval because it's in a three phases views. So it would look more like an oval. And I'd be just having it here on the side of the face. Okay. What I'm going to do after I've created this, I'm going to obviously divide my circle or oval into four equal parts. One horizontal line and one vertical line would do the trick. Okay, here we go. I've got it over here. On this area. It would go like that. And over here it will continue as well. Then after all of them, I will create the central vertical line for the whole face, which would be this from the top to the bottom and actually even a bit more lower, as I told you before, will come down as the amount of one of these parts below the face. So we would have the chin area over here. This would be the general shape of the skull and the jaw, which makes us the whole face. And you see how lightly I'm going to create these lines, my dear friends. When you are sketching, basically when you are doing a primary sketch. For a phase, you should get used to create these lines a lot lighter because you cannot make them dark. If you do that, it actually going to mess up your whole thing. So try to make them lighter. Therefore, whenever you want you can erase them. This is a general shape of the face and that will be the placement of the ear, which I'm not going to work on really. Right now. I want to create the face components. Okay? I have actually created the neck which is inside of the Cloud. So just leave it for now. I'm going to create the face components. And as you know, the nose would be here, the eyes would be here. Let me just make my framework a bit more neater, cleaner. So it would be easier for me to know where everything goes and it would be easier for you to see that you won't get to confuse them. Okay? And now we are going to create the face itself. These would be the placement of the eyebrows and how are they going to look? Let's see. It will come down from here. Create a very small bump over here, making it a bit prominent. Bringing it back again. And because I wanted to create it more lightly, I've erased the whole thing and I've created it again. Because we are having a boy. We are also considering. And bigger cheekbone for him as a child, so it would come down. We will erase the extra lines. From here. Again, we have a curve until it hits the chin and it would be prominent again. You see the side of the face should be having these curves and prominent parts, ups and downs. When you connect this area to here. This would actually give you a better way to create the general shape of the face because the lower area is the jaw and chin. So this was actually at a symmetric line for the face, the central line as well. So we would have to create the nose and the rest of the face competence based on this slide. Starting with creating the face competence. You see for example over here. This area would be the placement of the eyebrows. If I'm constantly erasing these lines is because I don't want my work to get too busy and it wouldn't be confusing for you. So these would be the eyebrows with a bit distance. I'll create the other one. On this other side. Then I will bring down the nose up to here and then connect it to the lower part of the nodes. Here we will have the nose that I've already told you how to create the nose in a three faces view. Just as easy as this. Okay? And again, I emphasize that denotes the eyes and all the face. Competence or even the head can be different in different people. Then this would be the start of the eyes. I'll just change this shape a little. I bring it more toward inside. And then again, I bring it out even more to create the forehead. I've just made it a bit more smaller so the face of our boy wouldn't not be too big. Over here. I'd be applying the eyes. So the, I would also be in a three-phase says view. So you can see. And then I'll create the iris in this way. Okay, dear friends, another thing that I should tell you is that all of the children are definitely bigger than the adult eyes. It's just how the nature is. The children's eyes are bigger than the adults. Then I just make a distance as the amount of one between my eyes. And then again, on this side, I'd be creating the other eye. Also the irises are bigger comparing two adults in children. And as you can see, I've created almost the same eye on this side because they should be symmetrical and it should look alike. As their eyes would go bigger, they would look much cuter. That's the point for the children. So I'd be erasing these lines as well in order for me to create a beautiful nose for him. Here we go. And when we come down over here, we will have the lips. In this area. We will have the mouth, therefore, the lips come along with them. Okay. So I be applying a beautiful curve on the upper part, on the top part of the upper lip. Because again, his mouth is in a three-phase says view. On the right side, I've actually close it fast. And then on this other side, it will continue until the central part of the eye. That's how we can measure or we can check the placement of our eye or our mouth. Then would be sketching this lower lip as well. Just like that. Okay. Then again, I'd be erasing all the extra lines from my work so I can edit my work and I can add more details and make them complete. So I don't need any of these circles or lines anymore. And just need to keep the shape of the ear and its placement, which it started from here. And these would be the hair coming down from these parts. See is a cute little boy. Okay. Now again, I'm erasing all the extra lines after I've even created the hair. So they should be all going. And here we have a cleaner picture to look at. See how easily we've created this beautiful sketch of a boy's face in a three-phase says view. So up to now we've created the general shape with the help of our primary sketch and the lines and proportions. Now we're going to add the details or even more shading to our work, which we are going to do in the next episode. So wait for that. 15. Drawing the parts of the boy's face: Hello and welcome back everyone. We are hearing in with the rest of our tutorial. As I told you in previous episode, this is our primary and main sketch of our boy and his face. Now, this time I'm going to work on details, but creating shadings and obviously getting the volume I want from the face, starting with the eyes and I'll start with this one. First of all, I would have to sharpen the tip of my pencil so I can create the details as well as you want them to be. Actually make it easier to have the quality and it would be easy for you if you sharpen the tip. Before I do that, I will erase the extra lines over here and then I will use my pencil whoami, and very, very delightful. And that delicately. I will work on these lines around his eyes. Make it even more detailed. And this time I'm not going to work. You may have. In general, I am working on the details as you can see. Them assign costs saw Johann, I may draw. Okay. Then I will apply this light area below the eyelid that basically you can shade it like that. Here we go. Udacity, then we have some darkness and some curved in area behind the eyelid, which is going to fade upwards. Then I would have the eyebrows. And here we go. Then I would also work on this area, the pupil and a darkness that it has in itself. Just like that. Here we go. As you can see, it already looks good, especially when you compare it to the other eye that we haven't started yet. Okay. This is this. And now I can move on to work on this other. I basically I'm creating the second I would the same process and same procedure. Because it's not in a three-phase says view anymore and it will be seen more complete state, a bit more stretched out and it would be wider. We can see actually more of this I because it's more on this side, which is almost in the front view. But basically the procedure is the same. I would create iris and the pupil inside of it, shading around it, moving on with keeping a light inside of it. Okay. This Smith and I'll be working on this lower part of the eye as well. Yeah, it will be shaded like this. Connie mitchell born in mosaic point rule. Poking me coin. And then I will actually erase this wide line below the eye, which were supposed to be the placement that the eyelashes would have to grow. They're just made all my shadings a bit more lighter. Here it is. So you might be shading from below the eyelid and I move up until I get to the eyebrow. Okay. And I can use my eraser over here to work on the details a bit more. Here we go. Okay. I would also apply the darkness for the IRS. I mean, I would work on them a bit more trying to shape it better. Just like that, I'd be actually applying the darkness below. I also the shading for this side of her cheekbone would be applied. So here we go. Then I would work on the eyeball, the wide part of the eye wall. And I use my eraser to make it lighter because our eyeballs are white. But we don't want to leave it white, but we can lighten the shadings inside of it so it would look good. Okay. Then I'll be considering small eyelashes for her. Sorry, for him. Then I would work on the eyebrows. The students. I'd be shading them and shaping them at the same time. Then I would want to work on the forehead. While most of his forehead is covered by his hair, but I can shade a part of it that I can see. Then I would also have to shade the nose. The lower part of the nose is obviously darker. We will have the nostril over here. And it would go like this. Alright. Then for the lips, I would have to consider lavish than as differences. If this is the lips and the mouth area, I'm going to make some changes here. While I'm editing it. I'll make this area more curved and I will leave his mouth a bit more open, wide-open. And you can see a little distance between his upper lip and his lower lip. Then I will start shading the lips, as we've discussed before. Can say nothing new there. Then over here, we would also shade He's cheekbones. That we would apply some likely shades over here. Then we will continue the shading until the chin area. Here we go. And then it would also shaped the jaw a little bit to harness, shading the lower part of the upper lip a bit more darker. And as it moves on, it will get lighter. I would have to work on the lower lip a bit more to Heron is. Then I want to pick up my B6 pencil and then I can apply some darkness which are stronger better. So when you get your basics pencil, you can work on the parts which are darker. Can just go around them. Making them darker. Try not to overdo anything as well. It's really important that you keep it balanced. You shouldn't do it at all or you shouldn't just leave it. Or you shouldn't make it too much camera. And then I actually would be using maybe six pencil to shade this area as well. Okay, here we go. Beautiful, S-shaped as he is. Because he is just too cute and handsome. Sometimes. I'd be mistaken. So just like that, I've already shaded the lips and I've made a curved line below the lower lip in order to emphasize on the chin. Then I'd be shading on this side of the face as well. Maybe going over the nose bridge a bit more on this side of the nose. Okay. Then I will use my eraser to apply some lights. On the left. Wherever I feel like we need more lights in order to create a beautiful contrast or creates some shine on the lips. I'll use my eraser there. I don't want it to be too dark, so I'll just get it out of that shape and situation. Here we go. Just like this. Again, shaving these areas above the lips and basically around the lips, make this area lighter. Therefore, the volume of the lips and the mouth would be really prominent and clear. Then again, a very light shading for the face would be applied. You'll see wherever you use a good contrast, either it's on the lips, around it, on the nose and the eyes, and wherever you use it, it will give you a beautiful volume and a good one. Your outcome would be better overall. We need more darkness on this jaw area. You see? I just apply my nail over here so I would not get out of the line. And at the same time, I can shade this area strongly. And just like that, Here we go. Here it is. That's it. I'm shading around the edges and draw it and I get to the side of the ear. And then actually I'm applying some hair over here with this shading and darkness. And of course, the ear area. It would look like this. 16. Drawing the hair and ears of the boy's face: Okay. Now we're going to apply his hair. That's an important part of the whole of sketching. And then as you can see, I'm using the side of my pencils tip. I am taking I am placing my hand almost horizontally onto paper with the pencil horizontally and I'm using the side of my pencils tip. And very, very comfortably I move my hand up and down to create his hair. And then as you go up, you're going to let the shadings get faded into one another. So here it is. Just as easy as that with the side of the pencils tip. Right now you would only do this. And then later, you can even create more detail. So don't worry about it. For now, just do it. Therefore, after you've done it perfectly, I can tell you about the next step. Keep doing it all the way down, even in this part below the ear. Okay. These parts are the dark parts of his hair, and these parts are the lighter parts. Then we're going to apply the shading with the same order. We can even bring some of the hair into his face, specifically on his forehead. Okay. Here we go. These are almost done. And my dear friends, you can work on the ears like this. You'd be shading them. And then from behind his ear, I'm fade my lines toward the hair. As you can see, I've faded the darkness and the lines toward the hair that it cannot be seen framework. And then I'll create inside of the ear with my shadings as well. So that's the ear to now we have almost completed our whole character. I mean, we've completed the face, the hair, and the whole head. You can just always add some more touch ups wherever you feel like you need them. And it doesn't matter if it's with your pencil or with your eraser. I mean, if you think you need to apply more darkness and shading into a place, or to apply more light into a place. You should not be afraid to do that. And you can edit your work whenever you want. As long as it's true. Then I'd be using my eraser and or my pencil eraser. And I'm just applying several hair with dragging my hand randomly, just like that. When I drag my hand like this, it is actually creating some lines as the shape of the hair. And I'll do it both in the darker parts of the hair or even the lighter ones. Just dragging it up and down, up to down actually. Then again this time I'll be picking my B6 pencil and I will create more precise darkness and shades and hair into my work. So here we go. That's it. And as you can see, as we develop our work more and more, it's starting to look better, more and more. So here we go. Working on all the parts. Then we are going to create this area as the last part of our work, which is our boys scarf wrapped around his neck. That's why we can not see his neck. There's a scarf wrapped around it. And then our job, our last job is to create this a scarf and shaded, which is really easy. It's easier than creating the face. Can promise you that. Okay? And so it's over. Okay. Then we would also have some more disorganized hair around my work because, you know, no realistic human hair is all tidy and organized like that. So I'll be creating some of the hair coming out of their own placement into the air around the head in order to make it look better and more natural. Again, I would apply some or darkness around the nose as well. Are over here below the cheekbone on this side and on going onto the chin. You see I'm just doing some touch ups right now as I told you before, my main work is done. And obviously, after applying shadings, I can always use my eraser to apply lights too. So that would be it. And my work is finished in this very step. Okay, My dear friends, I hope you've enjoyed this phase, this process of sketching this phase altogether. And I hope it was useful for you. And you should actually have a lots of practice with these kinds of models. Actually, you might not even use a model. You can create faces imaginary. And it's really easy that you're doing it with your sketching techniques and it will actually help you better and more so you should practice over and over a lot more. It makes your hand, your eye, and your mind, be compatible and suitable for the rest of your sketching. 17. Sketch of a young man's face: Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of sketching with me. Well, in this episode, we're going to create a face in a side view. This is a boy's face in a side view. In order to start sketching, first of all, I have to do the measurements and consider the proportions of his face that as we've worked before, you should start with creating a circle. And then I'd be telling you that our face is in the side view. Therefore, our second circle, we'll actually covers more of our first circle. I'll be placing this circle over here, considering a more major area. Okay. My dear friends, when you're working on your primary sketch, which you are getting the angles and the proportions and the placement of the face components, you should just create your lines very lightly. And there isn't necessarily for creating dark lines because later you would have to erase them. Okay, then I want my head to be toured up this much. This is actually what we consider by ourselves. So this is the vertical line that has been placed sideways. And again, I would have another horizontal line, again, would be sideways. As I told you before, it's because we want our model to be facing up a little. So it would also be cut in half. Here's another line at the bottom of this circle, and another one above it, which is actually our hairline. Okay? Then we'll come down as the amount of one of these parts. And in here we would have to draw and basically the chin. Here we would have the chin. This is actually the placement of the whole jaw area. This would be the neck, which would look like this. Alright. I've got the line and you know, the angles of the face. And now we're going to create every ups and downs that we have on the sideways view. So we're going to do that altogether. It comes down from here. The eyebrow would come out. And after that, it will come out toward inside of the face again to create the eyes cavity. Then it will come out again for the nails, which we would have here, images and bring it to our inside. I mean, two or more high-end side. And here we go. We will have their nose here. And then over here, we'll be having the lips. And of course the chin area would be placed here at the bottom. We would have also been hard for him. As I told you before, these are the placement of the eyebrows. And here we go. Okay. I'd be erasing all these extra lines firm here. Because, well, I want to have more specific sketching and I want to get the shapes of the face more correctly. I want to add so many details. Very specifically. You'd have to eliminate all the extra lines than I can even shape the general shaping of the body even better. Okay. I'll just apply it like that easily. This would be the upper lip and lower lip. And the way that you should do it is exactly what I've taught you in the beginning of the course. And normal side view lip. Here it goes for the chin and that's it. Now we can work on the eyes and the eyebrows. Well, here we had the I over here, as I said, in this cavity. We will have DI, over here, we will have the eyebrows. And then with a small distance from the eyebrow, I'll create the shape of the eye. My dear friends, you should actually work very easily. When you're working is really and more comfortably. It will make your hand even go better and easier. Here. You don't have to do too much. I mean, you don't have to limit yourself or you don't have to pay too much attention to details one by one. This is actually what's going to make you limit it. Lets your hands go free. Be comfortable with what you are doing. Then over here we would have his hair which comes down and it will continue up to here. Okay. And over here you can see the ear toward the face more. On other faces. It would go in one of the quarters of our circle, but now it's more toward the center of it. So here it is. You will have the hair and that's it. Then again, I'd be erasing the extra lines so I can add more details to my work. Okay. So that's about it. I have erased all the extra lines from the work so I can add the details. Now under shadings wherever I feel they are needed. 18. Drawing the parts of the young man's face: Okay, now you can get your B6 pencil. This pencil, I'm going to work first on the eyebrow and this side. And then I'll be creating these eyebrows over here in a better way. Okay? Then over here that I would have my models, I and my model's eyes are closed this time, so I would have to create the eyes as if they are closed. I would also have to create some shading for behind or better to say above the eye. So just like that, we would have it. And then over here I'll bring the nostril a little bit lower, making it bigger. And here it is. So part by part, I'm adding the details and I'm doing some shadings for them. For example, this part, the lower part of the nose, is actually a very dark area. So I apply it as dark as I see it. Okay. Then just like that, we would apply the shadings for the forehead as well. Then you see my dear friends, this area is actually our models mustache. And obviously I want to create dark mustaches as they are. We can note C, the upper lip too much because it's actually being covered by the mustache. Up to some level. You'd see the lower lip very, very lightly, just as I've created it right now. Then again from over here, I will have a small beard right on the chin or below the lower lip. And then I'll will continue downward to create the rest of the beard. The beard are actually coming out and coming down from the chin that we've already created. I will leave this area white because it says a skin. Here. We will actually have the part where the mustache is connected to the beard. So here we go. Then again, I will erase a bit around the nose because I want to make it cleaner and neater. And I might even think, I'm actually thinking about dragging it. It's tip a bit more up and higher. So I just brought the nose tip a bit higher. So I've just changed with the previous one was looking good on him too. But just wanted to show you that how you can change your ideas in different ways. Like the one I did. You should apply the nurse shadings pretty well so that you can get the volume that you want out of it. I would also want to eliminate that bump on his nose and I want to make it come down more smooth. Actually, I've changed the shape of the nose. Completely handmade it more, pretty better looking. You say My dear friends and the side view, creating the face competence are really easy, but you should be really careful about shading them so that you can get the volume out of them that you want. Here we go. Okay. Then I'll come up to this area on the side of his face where we would have to ending part of the jaw, which is also covered by his beard. I'm going to choose a darker color, a darker pencil which is B2 L. Then I can get my beard much more easier. I'm applying the beard very easily. And you see when I come toward the edges around the beard on the lower areas, on the parts which are out of the face and the ending part of the beard. When I go on these edges, I tried to create them lighter. On these parts, they're definitely darker, so I'll just create them like that. Here we go. I would also bring some hair out of the beard separately and individually. I just want some of them to come out. Making a more realistic look on him. We should also work on the eye area, a bit more on the eyebrows. And also some are shadings over here, above the eye and around it, going up, even toward the forehead. Here we go. And then I will have the shape of the eyelashes. And basically you can say I am shaping them more. Okay. The central part of the eye lid would be left light because it's the most prominent part of the eyelid. It covers the eyeball and it's permanent so I will shade around it and I'll keep the center light. And this area is actually the more curved in part around the eye, which is event a bit bony, so I'll darken it good. Then I work on his cheek bones. I am dressed, shading with my simple pen. So without any fader missing, your hand should get ability and the skill that transformed the shadings from the darker colors to the lighter ones and blend the shadings altogether with a fader. All of these would be too simple. The trick is that when you can do it with a simple pencil, and I'm just erasing this part of the nose so it will get out of it's very dark shade. And as I was saying, it's really important that you'd be able to do all of these shadings and blends with simple pencils. Then when you do the hard thing, working with a fader would be piece of cake for you. I'm not darkening this line. Again. Not anymore. I just made it a shade and then I'll be working on the beard. Again. 19. Hair, ear and neck draw of a young man: Then I want to work on his hair for his hairstyle. I will go out like this. As you can see. I'm just dragging my lines back and forth up and down to create the hair texture. And then from here will be coming down and connect it to the beard. If you look at man's with beard, some of them, you might say that the hairline is connected to the beard line right on the side of the ear. I would also create some more hair coming out as simple lines just like that. And we're good to go. Do not forget about your ear. So you will not just accidentally go through it while you're creating the hair. You should be careful about that. Then I'd be shading this upper part of the hair, which is basically above the forehead. And it's the beginning of the hairline. Just like that. And you see the hairline you see has created a contrast between the hair and the forehead. So I'd be shading this. Therefore, it would look like more blended because the hairline should not be actually aligned. It should just create the contrast between the hair and the forehead, but it should be faded so it would look good. And as you can see, I've created the hair line, not as a straight line. It has ups and downs. It will just make it look more natural. Then we can start creating the rest of the hair. Then I'd be starting from over here, behind the neck. Here would be exactly the ending part of his hair. And from here, I'll just do the same way. Let me just sharpen my pencil again because I need, you know, sharp tips to create the hair. And you see from here, I'm just getting up toward the bond that I've created on the top of his head. I'd be careful around the ear, but I'll bring more darkness from behind the ear into our work. And then I'll complete the hair just like that very easily. Now he really looks attractive. And of course, some small hair which are coming out of the back. Just to make it even more natural. Alright, we should darken some parts of the hair even more like these parts or these ones are over here. The lower areas are the parts which are behind, are below or charring the back. I'm applying the strong darkness with my B 12th pins. So by the way, and then I will actually shade the back of the neck. And I kinda, you know, connected with my hairline and blended with my hairline. And then I can create the risks of the next shading. Of course, the back of the neck. So as you can see, you can not find any specific lines are separate lines here. Again, behind the ear, I would apply some more shading, making it darker. Going to the neck again, even from below to beards. You see how I blend my lines into my shadings. You should do the same too. Again, I insist that you should not have any separate lines in your sketching. So if that was the jaw, this would be the neck. You should consider it the same way. Should create your imaginary lines or you should do this in your primary sketching. Then I'd be actually applying some shadings below or under the chin and jaw. And of course below the beard. Actually some part of the shadings are related to the shadow of beards on the neck. Okay. Here we would end up Nick and I would also shade some more over here. Going up this line, fading it towards the rest of my work. Just like that. Again, bringing some hair, small hair of the back of his head. Then I'd be working on his ear separately, of course. Okay. And of course, after working on the ear, it would be shading it. And as I said before, ears can also have different or lots of different shapes. And they depend on each person. I wanted his ear to look like this. And then I apply a general shape overall to my whole work on the ear. Just to get that whiteness out of its hole shape. Then I'd be applying some are shadings coming down from the top of the hair. Here we go. As you can see, I'm also shading its surroundings to create some color for his background. I want my model to be separated from its background. You see with the contrast that we've created here, we've actually created a beautiful piece and with great volumes. Mostly because of our shadings and our contrast. Then I would also fade this area upwards, shading it upwards above the eyebrow. Therefore, it looks like he's frowning. Not too much, but a little. Better. Say here is a small drink. Okay, My dear friends. For your creativity. To become more and more, you can actually work on your primary sketch. The way that we did in the beginning. I mean, you should create a base of the face, the primary sketch with it together. But then for the details and for the face components, you can actually create your own character, your own model, from your own imagination. Even on your practices. On this, it's not necessity that it would look like this exactly. You can change whatever you want, but you should focus on applying the correct shadings, correct lightnings, and correct proportions and placement of your face competence. That's the only thing that you should focus about. Focus on. Generally, the focus of this and the goal of this course is not simulating or realistic a stitch sketches. It's actually the basics for you so you can create anything you want with the basics that you'll learn. You can create a basic or kind of a blueprint of your face. Just like as I did fonts, you can create a face that I've created one so you can change it in your own practices. Because I say it's better for you to work over and over again on one model and try to create different faces out of the same primary sketch. It will just grow your imagination. You should depend on it. Then I'd be erasing all around my work. So it would look itself, it would show itself better. I'll just add some more lines here in order to create a background for him. I will create one more here. And that background would sooth well k, and it will actually give that a sketching touch to your whole work. So here we go. We have all these parts. Just like that. I would also work on this area a bit more. I would have some curves on the neck. Here we go very easily and a whole work is done. You see we've started with our primary sketch, the shade them with detail at them. And we've got this beautiful outcome. In the end, again, I just have to erase these parts to make it cleaner work. Here we go. That's it. I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial and it was useful you. So don't forget to use your own imagination and create different shapes. 20. Sketch of a young girl's face: Hello again to all of my dear friends. Welcome to another and a new episode I was sketching with me. In this episode, we're going to sketch a beautiful girl altogether. And again, we are going to create it in a three phases views. So before everything I have to create the head and get the proportions and placement of the components of the face. So I'll create a circle and then I'll create another circle inside of it in order to get the proportions and the placement of the face components correctly. I'd be starting my second circle and I'll be creating it over here, which looks more like an oval. Because again, I said my face is in a three faces view, which would be basically the placement of the ear. Then I will actually divide our work into four parts. One horizontal line, one vertical line going through the center of the work. Then I will go to top of the circle. Another line at the bottom. Then as the amount of one part. Let me just make this side of the circle darker so you could see as the amount of one part, I will come lower, I'll come down. And then from here I'll connect it to this slide, which would be the jaw or basically our chin. That is actually in the three faces view again, I insist. And this would be the center of the face coming down all the way. Here would be the side of the jaw, which is going through to connect the chin. Then again, very easily we could have created a skull and a three phases view. Or as you can say, the base of a head. Here is our ear, which ironically rhymed. And then from here we will have our character's hair. You see that because this character and this model is going to be a female, the hair would be more comparing to the male characters that we've created, then this would be departing of the hair, which comes toward this way and it will even continue from below the ear. We can see the back of her neck. I don't want to overdo it so much right now, so I just leave it at that. I will complete it more into detailing phase. Okay. Now it's time to go and create this side of the face. I'm going to create the ups and downs on the edge of the face in order to create either know the cheekbones, the eye cavity, wherever I need any bump or any curved in area. Okay. Then I'll get to here. Let me just sharpen the tip of my pencil before starting anything. Because it's really important because we want to create the edge of the face. From here I'll come down. I create a slight bump for the placement of the eyebrow. Then I'll come in over here. I'll come out again for the cheekbone. She would have prominent cheekbone and the earlier to make herself cuter. And then again, very easily move toward inside. Here. I'll have the chin, which I don't want to work about. I mean, I don't want to work on it right now. And this would be the center of the face. So the nose would be up to here. These would be the placement of the eyebrows, which I can determine right now. Just like this. I can determine the placement of the nerves and the eyebrows. This would be the center of the nose and nostril. And the nose itself. My dear friends, as you can see, right now, we're just determining the placement of face competence. We're not doing any pretty work or any detailing. Create handed down or shape. And this side of the nose would go here. And parallel to this no sip, I will go here would also go the other side of the nose bridge. Then I will create the eyebrow for this other side of the face. And as you can see, her eyebrows are shaped because she's a woman. Okay. Then over here we would have the eyes. And again, I emphasize on the fact that we're only creating general shapes right now and we are determining the placement of face competence. Nothing really more. Would also work on the eyes and the three phases view creating the iris untouched. Then we will create the second, I see it will start from here where the side of the nose ends, the corner of the eye begins. And if you check it with the other eye, this should be the distance between them as the amount and the size are one. So here I'll create my second eye. And as you can see, she's looking this way. The part above the eyelid or behind it. Some might say the lower eyelid. Then from here we'll come lower and we would have to create the mouth. Obviously. Having the lips, this would be the placement of the mouth and lips. My dearest friends. That over here, I'll bring the lips up to this point. Just dragging it. And this would be actually the curved part for the top of my upper lip. And then it will be created like this because it's in a three phases view. Then I can even create some tooth for her. Then we will have to lower lip. Sorry, I just got slipped out of my hand for a minute. Here we go. Okay. And then over here I'll have the chin area. Then I will erase all the extra lines so I can work on my face. Veteran more. Okay. Here we go. So I will be erasing all the extra lines. I'll be keeping my main lines as my primary sketch. So I can move on into the next step which is detailing and shading. Of course. Just like that, I would also shaped ear for her. And because it's a female, I have created a smaller ear for her, like this. Okay. Here we go. I'll erase this extra line below the jaw. So just like that, I will erase the whole phase from these extra lines or shapes. Now I can start creating the details and make my work pretty. 21. Drawing the parts of the young girl's face: I'm using my normal pencil in order to create my model's eyes. So first I'd be shading inside of the iris after creating the pupil. And because this area is actually behind and nails, and it would be on the shadowed side of the face. It's on the dark side of the face. It would definitely be worked on darker. So I'll apply darker shadings over here again because I say it's behind the nose and our faces in a three phases views. So one side is darker comparing to the other. Here we go. I be applying these eyelashes over here. Then I'll move on to create the eyebrows. And in their shadings. Of course. And also I'd be darkening this area. Okay. Then I'd be doing the same thing for my left eye. But the difference is that for this other eye on this side, my shadings are going to be lighter because it's on the light side of the face. But basically the procedure of shading and adding the details has almost the same. I'll just go behind eyelid. And the end of the eye. I would have the eyebrows looking like this. I would also have to apply a shade from this side like this that actually shows the curved in this part of the eye. So I will keep the prominent part on this part below the eyebrow and on the outer corner of the eye. But on the inner corner of the eye because we have a cavity and a curve in part, we're going to shade it darker. So here we go. Just like that. Very easy. Okay, then I'd be also applying some more darkness and shadings for below DI. And of course we can, we should use on this inner corner of the eye. And never the eyeballs are white. You should definitely go over them once with your light shadings in order not to leave them completely white because that actually doesn't look good and your whole work in a big picture. Then you can also use your electronic eraser. Or if you don't have that, you can use your eraser to create some more lights in these areas that we've shaded. For DI. Then this would be the starting part of the eyelashes, the growing part basically. And it will make these parts smoother and software, which is actually our goal. I'd be adding a light over here as the spot. So I'm creating a spot of light inside of the eye. Just to make it look more interesting, then we are going to work on the eyelashes. These would be the eyelashes of our model like this. And then we move on to continue our shadings. We will shade it with a normal pencil. I'll have the nostril over here. That comes toward this way. And over here, we will have this side of the nose. And from here very, very slowly, it goes from the dark colors toward the light and it would be faded. So in the process, that is exactly what we want to fade are shadings, blending them in the whole work. Then this part of the nose itself should get even more shadings. The lines should be faded obviously. And I'd be shading over here like that. Because on the dark side of the nose, we will have more shadings. So here on the right side we can see darker shades. And then obviously the lower part of the nose would be darkened like this. And then this side is actually the light side of the face. Therefore, I try not to darken this area too much. I give it a shape, but a light one. And I want to overdo anything. And then again, I'd be applying it dark shade over this side of the face. Again, I insist that you should not be afraid of creating these shadings. I mean, there were so many of our beautiful as students that they would work very good day, would have lots of talents and do a really creative, but they had only one problem. They were scared of creating the darkness and creating the contrasting need. They were terrified. And if I've asked them, Why are you afraid this much, they would say, Oh, it will be ruined. So it would be nothing will happen, nothing bad will happen. If your work gets ruined or you'd have you make a mistake in it, you should be. Again, I say you are in the beginning of your work. You should let your pencil to dance onto paper. You should let it go, let your hands go more free. And you should create what you're pleased with. When you're sketching, you should work comfortably. So don't worry about it and don't be afraid of working with the darkness and contrast that is essential point in your whole work. And of course, try to make it work. Just be cool and comfortable. Okay, then we can also work on the chin area over here. Then I can also work on this lower part of the lips. You see step-by-step as you move on to problems of your work would show up to you. I mean, you would then know where you need to edit your work. When you need to add more darkness, when you need to add more light. But you should actually figure it out as you move on with your work. So what's going to happen any sooner? Okay. Then it's obviously the dark side of the face. So I'll come down and I'll apply some more darkness here below the lower lip and of course, on the chin. Then I get my B6 pencil, my sketching B6 pencil. And then with that, I'll go over the parts which are darker and I would apply darker shadings in my work. You see on these parts, I should add more dark, dark colors and shadings. Even for this part of the eye and face. Here we go. This side below nose, and as part of the lips should also be dark and more. I should use more shadings on it. Okay. Then you would be actually shading the lips more beautiful and prettier. Then from this lower area, I would move up just like that. Alright. We've almost completed the dark side of the face. And then we can move on to create the light side of the face as well. Also from this part on the forehead we will shaded dark. And as it move on to this side, to the left side, it would be lighter. Definitely. See. I'm actually doing it gradually. I don't want any borders between my shadings. I'm just creating a tonality of my color. And without creating any specific borders, I'll come from the dark colors and dark shadings toward the lighter side with delight or shadings. Then I'll use my electronic eraser to create some more lights over here. On the nose, especially on the tip of the nose, because it's a very prominent area and it should be lighter. As I said before, if you don't own an electronic eraser, you can do it with your editor eraser. You see just like what I'm doing right now. If you touch your edged eraser too much to the paper, it can even work as a fader for you in some places. But I'm just going to work with my eraser for you too. So you'd say it's possible as well. Then over here we'd be apply a light shading. And a light light. I mean, you don't want to create a strong light overall, but you can do it little by little. I'll just continue my work. I'd be applying the darkness over here. And of course over here to darkness on these parts should be emphasized and exaggerated. But not too much. In your homework. It's really important for you to keep the balance and don't overdo anything. I say, you should create a stronger shadings, but it doesn't mean make the whole thing black except for Australia. Or if I say keep it light, you shouldn't just keep it to light or untouched. It ruins your work as well. With sodium creating the shadings from the top towards the cheekbones and also from the jaw and chin. I'll be shading and it would be darker on the lower areas. And as it comes up, it fades into lighter shades. As you can see, I've kept the cheekbone area particularly light. 22. Drawing the hair, ears, and neck of a young girl: Hello and welcome back to the continuous of the sketching that we've created. Well, to continue that, I'm going to get help from my electronic eraser or my eraser to lighten around the lips. This way, I want the lips to be beautiful and I'm actually going to create some are shine a light on the lips themselves. This contrast will make the lips look more volume and more prominent. I would also use it on the eyes. Of course, over here. On this side of the eyes as well. Then there are some lights which are necessary for my work and it will actually make my work look more beautiful. I'm applying them. I'm going to use my eraser to make this thing work faster. Okay. Then I will lighten up this side of her face and her lips. And then I'll use my B6 pencil to apply more shadings from right below the nose so that I can create a line for the cheeks. You'll see she has a line coming down from the side of her nose and create beautiful, prominent Sheikhs for her. And the cheekbones. I'll not going to overdo those bars because it's on the lights of the face. I just give it a light shading. Then I will come down over here to create her neck and work on it more. Can you and create a part of her body. So just like that, I'll create her head actually turning. As you can see. She has turned her neck or basically she has turned her head facing the opposite side. Then I'll be working on her hair as well. Okay. Then from here, I would apply the hair. I'll make it really dark. You see? I'll create the hair starting from departing, the parting of the hair, and then I'll bring it down toward the sides. For example. From this side, it will come right on the top of the ear and there when it ends. Okay. Just like that. And then I'll keep the central part of the hair light as I did because I want to show that there is a reflection of light on her hair in the central part of it. And this would be my models ear which I'm working on. Also the back of the hair, would be worked on just like this. And it's working pretty well. As you can see. Then I'll apply some more darkness below the ear. Bring it down to the back of the neck and down. I would also have to apply some are shadings and darkness right below the chin and jaw. So it would look like this. Okay. I would also have to work on the hair on this side because I cannot just leave it. Make my character whole and complete. So I would create the hair on this side as well. And just like that, I'll continue their hair down until wherever I can say it. And again, because it's on the dark side of her face, I will be applying very dark colors in this area. And you'll see my dear friends. We just bringing some hair coming down from the sides of her face. Just like that. So here it is. Then over here we have the turn and twist on her neck, which will cause some wrinkles on it. So I'd be shading them, providing these wrinkles on her neck. And I would also have to shade these areas very generally, just to give them some color. Here we go. Got it. And also on her arms and shoulders. Do not forget about the ear. I'll just create some shapes inside of it, applying the ear hole, we did darkness. And then I can even create a circle, a small circle on the ear in order to show she's wearing earrings. And just as easy as that, I have shaded the ear as well. It's really easy considering the shape of the ears can be different from person to person. Alright. Now, I'd be bringing some of the hair even over the year. I mean, they are covering some parts of the ear. Then we'll bring some hair out and then we will create some more shadings on the background. Again, I will also have to create some more lines on this side of her face in order to create a sketching background, as I told you before. Okay, Then I'll be using my eraser to go around the edges and make my work cleaner. Then I just do some more touch ups and then my work would be done completely. Again. I will shade this side of the face, another layer of dark shade. Then I'd be applying some more shading on this side, not as much as the other side. Then for these areas. I would also add some darkness and light constantly one after another. Then I will shape this area as well. Making any of my mistakes correct? I mean, you know, while you're working, you might make some mistakes, but you can edit it, some of them can be fixed. So careful about that. And that's it. Here we go. This is a beautiful outcome of our whole work. I hope you've enjoyed it and it was really useful for you. This is our pretty girls, a sketch in a three faces view with her hair turned backwards. See you again later in next courses.
