1. Lesson 1 - Welcome and Course Outline: Hi, my name is Romney and
thank you very much for joining this course to help
with your email marketing, to build more styles and
to build your brand. Now this course
is gonna be about the ways to be able to build a subscriber base using
these techniques that I've implemented to sell either 30 thousand
books per year. Now I've been publishing
now for a couple of years. And it's these kinds of
techniques that Pretty much less than 10% of authors
actually use and implement. In a moment, I'm gonna show you a few key things
that we're gonna be covering in a condensed y. And I'm going to talk you
through all the steps and techniques that will help
you to build your list, to build a brand, and to build a system that has
repaid customers. Let me get into a few
short things about what we're gonna be covering
as part of this course. These are some of the sections we'll be covering in the course. We're looking at
building an audience. So why build an email list? How do we build the e-mail list? We're looking at creating
a lead magnet so we cannot identify what are laid and agonies and how do we
actually create that? Building an email system? What do we need to do
to create that system? And then automated ON going to then introduce
you to convert it. That's the platform that
we'll be using to create a really easy system that will
help automate our process. All IN, run you through
the four main steps to create a system that includes creation
or the lead magnet. Creating our e-mail
sync sequence. Placing the late night in the manuscript had to create
the late night that link. And then more importantly, places to build an audience, where and how to build it. And creating one-off
broadcasts that covers some of the key areas that we can be looking
at for this course, I look forward to teaching you the steps using convert kit to build your brand, to build your audience, and ultimately to
sell more books.
2. Lesson 2 Why do We Build an Email List: And a big welcome
to you for joining the course and thank
you very much for taking that step to be able to learn what you need to know to create an email marketing system where you can build your brand. Therefore, they'll
both styles and create more revenue for
yourself publishing. Now, I'm leaning on
my experience of over ten years of teaching
and publishing well at a 350 books myself on cardiac pay and other online
platforms to be able to teach you the steps that are personally implement to help
build that brand awareness. Now the course will be split into eight
different sections, and I'll be stepping through
each of those steps. But I just want to make
sure that when we do get two stages where you need to pause and take
action that you do. So because I've seen many
students taking courses, but not actually implementing
those important steps. Let me get into a few of those key areas that
we're gonna be covering. A bit of an introduction
to how we're going to be using our platform
of convert kit to build our brand and build our subscribers and our customer base
for self-publishing. Section one, which we're
about to start now, is about building an email list. You need to identify why
an email list is gonna be important for you and for your connection
with your customer. Say an amount is a direct
link to your customer. If you had built up
different subscribers, for example, on the
other platforms, Let's just say YouTube
as an example. Don't actually have the
direct clonic communication. Should something happen
to your YouTube account, for example, where you can't
then reach those customers. If a customer purchase
the book through kj P, or a platform like that, you actually have no way of communicating back
to that customer. If you have a new book or a new resource you'd
like to share with them. So building an email
list is kind of like an insurance policy
where most people, nearly everyone has an e-mail. You can reach that
customer directly. A few key things that
we need to identify here is that when we
do a malloc customers, we need to make sure
that we're adding value to whatever the
communication looks like. Years people have the option to unsubscribe when I
have subscribed, you can't get them back again. That's the importance. So we need to put
on making sure that when we do contact
customers that were able to send or shared with them, value,
valuable content. Let's get onto the next
stage about what generally happens for self publishes
when I do syllable. These identifies what 90% of publishes end up having
as an end result, they might have an
amazing book which is listed perhaps on
Ingram spark or Kite, a pay, they book gets sold. Then of course it's added
to the customer's cat. Then that's it. That's the end. You, as I self-published, don't really have any
clear communication law and through to that customer, apart from if they leave a review where they might
provide some feedback. But you can't provide any further updates
about that ray source. Or if you've got a new
version of that resource, or there might be other books that you've created that she can name market back to that same customer because
you love your book. They would lie to be
a repeat customer. But unless they know that you're releasing another book
or another ray source, they're not going
to know about you. We need to change that. We need to give them every opportunity to
know about our brand, a bat at books, and therefore, they
become repeat customers. So what if we could
create, instagram? Builds a loyal
customer group that returned to purchase
more books or more races were
resources from me. This is a mock book
that I've created called How to sell
more books online. If a customer purchase
that book and I loved it, we can then communicate back to their customer to then
purchase maybe another book. I mean, other two books there, maybe another four
or five books. That one customer then gets potentially a
factor of five or ten, depending how long that customer continues to
purchase from you, rather than just one book being purchased by the customer
and then leaving me forever. What about if we
create a system where that one customer becomes
a repeat customer? And I might even tell
more friends and family a bachelor books as well way want to create a system that allows customers to
know more about us, to form a deeper connection
with that customer. So that we can sell more books and create pretty much a positive
experience for that customer. So let's go to the next
point that's going to be critically important
for this process to work. The why we do this is by
making sure that we have a captivated audience when we create any communication
to our customer. But when I purchase your book, they are a customer, hopefully that has
loved your book. And if you don't have a
means to contact them, then how will they
ever known about future laces or current books
you've created as well. They might have seen one
book that you've created, but they might not know about books previously or future
books you're creating as well. So that will take us
onto the next section. A bad how we stop this
process of creating a system that can capture these e-mails of customers that are purchasing your books.
3. Lesson 3 Email Marketing End Goal Lesson: In this lesson, I
want to talk about establishing your angle
for a mo marketing. What's the purpose that you're building your e-mail
marketing list for? Let's just discuss a few things unique
taking consideration when you're first thinking about your angle for email marketing. Now before we even
get into depth regarding some of the lessons
I'm gonna be teaching you. I want you to get
some clarity around what your e-mail marketing
strategy is going to be. These are particularly goal
that you want to achieve as part of the same marketing is our number of subscribers or customers that you want to get over certain period of time. But having this clarity
will really help you to structure your e-mail
marketing much, much better. Having these goals and having some clarity
around what you want to achieve will allow you to take more action
more frequently. If you're not quite
sure what to do, then maybe just start with a one-page document
and just puts in dance and dot points about what are these that you wanting
to achieve out of this? Now remember when
we do start out, email marketing
campaign is gonna be a few action steps
you need to take. And I really encourage you
to take these action steps because these are
the things we'll tidy closer to
achieving your goal. And what did your marketing
strategy might be. I definitely recommend you
to start with one book. If it's a book or a
resource that you want to build subscribed by surround. And when we go through
these lessons, think about that book or resource and how
you can actually apply what I'm teaching you towards getting more
customers for that. There's gonna be listens
around late magnets, creating landing pages,
email automations. So as I talk through
these things, just keep in mind that book or resource that you think
would be good starting point might actually try and
get used to the system first before we try and do
too many things at one time. The prices of learning and
absorbing can be hard, so don't be afraid to pause and go back and
listen to a lesson again and to write down a few notes to hopefully that helps you Just in regards to
getting some clarity, granule goals and what
you want to achieve in this course in your e-mail
marketing strategy. And to get everything ready for automation for the future. Hopefully you found
this helpful.
4. Lesson 4 How Do We Build an Email List: Welcome to the next lesson. How do we build an e-mail list? Now it's sometimes challenging
for people to think of the y's that I can get a
customer e-mail addresses, for example, without
becoming too salesy. Now unlocks to be doing cold
calls or anything like that. To try and develop a
list of subscribers, you need to build an
e-mail list with value. Your customers need to feel
valued and put lot to be part of your communications moving forward.
How do we do this? Let's get onto the next step. What we need to create is
what they call a lead magnet. And I'll go into what a
lead magnet is in a moment. But effectively, it's something
that you will include in your book by the
hardback paperback or in a book that would then go to a landing page that would download your
guidebook, for example. And then they will form part
of your subscriber list. So let's go to what we actually identify
as a lead magnet. Lead magnet is a marketing
term for free autumn will service that has given away for the purpose of gathering
contact details. We, as creators, would include what they call it a
lead magnet within our book. And if it's enabled, I could click on
the link that would take them to identify page. Or we can use another
technique by using a QR code for customers to be able to then go and download this resource. But an important element
of these c's ease, these permitted within kVp to provide some surety
and comfort for you? Contacted caddy be
customer support. And this is the response to my question about if
it was okay to include links or QR codes within books that would leak customers today in the
other downloaded resource. And the response from
cardiac pay was, you can include hyperlinks
or QR code in an e-book. If it is a paper back, you can also include a QR
code or website address. Now this was important for me to get these
because I want to make sure that
you're comfortable including a lead magnet
within your book. Because a lead magnet will be a critical component
for your gathering these email addresses
and being able to create your followers, I guess, in regards
to your customers, so that you can promote and you can provide
more value to them. Alle magnet therefore, BA, important part of the
book creation process. Not just selling your book, you need to think beyond that about something
additionally, that she can provided
to the customer as pretty much a
bonus that that would get if that would have purchase your book and then go
to a special link. And I can download the resource. As an example, if they were to purchase how to sell
more books online, the customer would be
interested in downloading a free resource about three
steps to mow book sales. It is a bonus, it adds
value, and therefore, they're more likely to
go to the link that you provide for them to then
download that resource. You then have your
customer's contact details to be able to contact
them directly.
5. Lesson 5 How Does the System Work: Welcome to the next lesson. We're going to be talking about how the system actually works. The first thing we
have is apt book, a book he's created
an inside that book, we include LA magnet to go
back a couple of steps, and I'll be explaining these
further in the course. But we will need to develop
and design outlaid nine them. But to skip a few steps, what would then happen
once that's created? Our customer would
then buy the book. That might be on KP and might be on another online
platform, for example. Or it could even
be in a bookstore. Within the book, we
have our lead magnet. So when the customer
is reading our book, they might say the lead magnet. For example, if it was how
to sell more books online, inside the book was
the lead magnet, three steps to move exiles, the customer lock to receive that free
resource so that bonus. What would then happen
once they scan the QR code or enter the address that seems
saw the book or the link. That would then be taken to
what we call a landing page. Again, I'll explain how
to create landing page. Once the landing pages there, there'll be a button and
I click that to receive a free resource would then also enter
their email address. That would then off
to the pressed into receive an email with
the free resource. Now they can download
that resource as a PDF. And then we would have
our growing list of customers as part of
our Subscribe advice. So that's how the system
is going to work for us. Let's go back over those steps. We're going to have that
book without lead magnet. A customer buys it. They then go through our
book and find a lead magnet. They didn't land on
the landing page. Click to receive that
document or our gift, that bonus lead magnet gift, dy, then we save the PDF and I
joined a subscriber list. Now let's go through the
next steps about what needs to be done in
regards to this process.
6. Lesson 6 What is ConvertKit: Welcome to this lesson. This lesson will be all
about how we create the marketing system
that I've been talking about to automate our process. So we can capture the
e-mail addresses and also send informational
resources to our customers, create landing pages and automate emails and
different sequences, what we call a mile sequences
where we create an e-mail, then after a certain time frame, they will receive other emails and other corresponds from us. That's in another layer, another lesson that I'll
continue on in a moment. How about let's work back a step and talk about the
system that we're creating. We're going to use a
platform called convert kit. Convert kit is a platform
that all become very familiar with and are highly recommend because there's a few key features
about it that I'll do. Like in a moment, we're going to jump on the
convert kit, a website, just to show you a quick look around and I'll go
into more depth, a back convert kit. And the key features that are due prefer convert kit above all the other platforms that I have previously used as well. Let's get into a few of those
key reasons in a moment. Once we've had looked at
the platform about why convert kit for me would
be more preference. Instagram for myself publishing. And this is the
convert kit, mine pij. And as you can see, it's very nicely laid out. We'll log into my
account shortly, but this is just some
of the key details. Now, one of the things
that I wanted to point out was that when you do
sign up to convert kit, you do get a free 14 day trial and are found these to
be incredibly useful because I could actually try and implement some
of the things that I've learned myself to make sure that they work
and that's gonna be comfortable with the system in regards to the processing
side of things. Let's have look at that now. You can adjust your subscribers. So generally when you start, you'd have less than psi 300. You, you'd have a
free 14 day trial. But you also have under threat
if under 300 subscribers, you sign up for free and you get all these
key features here. Now, Krita starts at $9 per month or 100 night build
annually for 300 subscribers. Again, you get all the features here and then you got
the creative probe. Just saw you thought
you're going to have a fast and subscribers, then it works out
to be $25 per month or $50 for the
creative Pro plan. But remember that if you've
got a thousand subscribers, there's every chance
that you'll be converting more
than 25 those width of revenue from having a thousand subscribes
on your list. You've got to think
about the investment you're making for your business. And that's one of the
things that you need to consider when you're building your list is to think
about the long-term and how you can build
that confidence within your customers as well. So that's a quick look. I'll be going into
my dashboard soon. But I just wanted to show you the main platform for
when you were two, if you were to go onto convert
to keep to begin with.
7. Lesson 7 Why Choose ConvertKit: Welcome to this next lesson. In this lesson, I
want to identify why I chose convert kit to be the platform of
choice for building my customer base
almost subscribe Buys. Now I have used
Mailchimp before, and I have also used
active campaign. Now those platforms
can be very good. If probably a bit more IT savvy, and you can set things up and
understanding a bit easier. Now, active campaign has Simon a different
features that it was a little bit hard for me sometimes to get
my head around it. And Mailchimp to me
was a bit clunky, a bit hard to get used to all the different
systems and sit-ups. Whereas when you
use convert kit, it was just so much easier. Let me identify a few
reasons, key reasons, what are chosen convert kit to create these tutorial around, and what could be
a good choice for you when you do create your, your system for
e-mail marketing, there's no obligation to
choose convert kit for it. But potentially at the
end of this tutorial, you'll see why I've chosen it specifically
for this reason. So these are the
three key areas. Firstly, off than the
interface to be so much easier to use than any other provider that
are actually used. And it's actually
perfect for me, as I mentioned,
not that IT savvy. Not too bad with getting
a camera going and a microphone guy and creating
a presentation like this. But when it comes to a bit
more technical side of things, then convert keep was the answer for me and
address that need. Secondly, the processing
structure is very reasonable. Taken consideration. The remuneration you'll
get on your investment. And that is important
element to, you need something
that's easy to use. It has an AAC device, will not be too
expensive that you can actually get that return
on investment back. And that was important to name. And also there's plenty of options to create landing pages, one-off e-mails and sequences. And also the ability to be able to create the
automations that are needed to. Again, when I've used
other software platforms, I've just found that a
bit too complicated. But you'll see in a moment
when I show you convert kit, why I've chosen it, and how simple it is. So let me take you to the dashboard convert kit
that I've been using for, for my YouTube channel. In fact, to try and
build a connection with more and more customers are
more viewers for YouTube. And that will give you
an idea about the heat of ice and how
easy it is to use. This is the main interface or a dashboard that you would say. What I love about it. It is five main tabs
you can look at. When you get to grow. You've got your subscribers and the
landing pages you can create. Guy will be going through
this in this course. So I'm just showing
you initially what this looks like
under the Send tab, you've got broadcasts
which is locked one-off submissions at your customers or
your subscribers. You have different sequences. You can create a mild
templates and snippets. Then we've got an automation. A visual automations are
rules, integrations. We've got different
ways we can do earning and then learning as well, different
community things. But 123 bays, the three
that are generally work on. In this course, we mainly
looking at the subscribe as a landing pages sequences. We'll also look at
broadcasts and then automating as well and getting these
sequences into place. And it gives you a
dashboard of what you've got in regards
to your subscribers. How many of subscribes
that I the past 50 days pass 30 days in the title, I'll create it the
suddenly these particular recounts about 30 days ago because I wanted to grow
my YouTube channel. However, I've got
my other platform or other account which I
used for my publishing. But this is probably
a better one, just so I can show you
initially how obtain out to build the subscribe it buys up just in a short
period of time as well. So that is the main
dashboard for convert kid. As I said, very, very simple. And it's much more
simple than another one. I'll quickly show
you active campaign and the dashboard of that one on why it's a bit more complicated. The autofill, then this one's going to be
four for me when I'm creating my mouth
marketing platform. And so this is the active
campaign platform. Just found that if
you're gonna campaigns, for example, there's just
a lot of different things. Automations, just a lot more complicated
to get this done. Conversations, different lists and getting that sort of organized as well. So I just found it a lot more complicated for
water is looking forward is convert kit was going to be much more simple for me to navigate my way through and sit up just
with a simple tabs, which are very, very easy to do. It's an effective way of growing your list for your
self-publishing. And therefore, if
you can do what you need to do and simplify
it and then automate it. That's exactly what I feel
is the rods stick to type.
8. Lesson 8 How ConvertKit helps to Build Your Audience: Welcome to the next lesson. In this lesson, a core
objective will be to learn how to build an audience with
converted into loyal customers. And there is some key
features of convert kit, which will help us to do that. Now not going to be showing you every single feature
on convert kid. Just the ones that
are important for us to build our audience, to be able to create
landing pages, need to automate the system so that we can actually
bring those customers in. And we can share more
valuable content and ultimately correct more
styles for our business too. So let me go to my dashboard and show you some of
these key features which will identify
and look into a little bit further as
the lessons progress. On the top tab here,
we've got growth. Now if you have an existing
set of subscribers or at least of contact
points that you'd like to bring into convert kit. You can do that. You can transfer them
across, which is great. On the subscribers
tab, you click that. And then down below here, you can add subscribers. I can click on add subscribers. You can add a single subscriber, import a series, or import
from another provider. A few with active campaign. If you're with Mailchimp, then you can actually do
that an important across. If you were to import
the survey, say spray, you can just select and
drag that into here. And then it will actually import all those
contexts for you. And that's what I've done from my active campaign
platform into convert it. And it was not snazzy. Drag and drop it here and then import the subscribers than i o collides and I get put
into your system there. Now the next thing we'll look
at the grow to have a game. We looked at landing
pages and forms. So when we're creating
a landing form, this is the Pij customers who go to when I want to get
you erase source. Let me show you a quick
little example of what that landing page looks like
and what I've created. For an example that we'll look at further into our lessons. This is what we call
a landing page. Is a link that you get
from converted dining. Don't need a website to
have this, which is great. Customer was to
click on your link, it would bring them
to your landing page. And then if you had your lead magnet while this one that would
click download to die. And I would then need to
enter their email address and the first name if that's the contact information
you wanted to obtain. And your three steps
to mow book sales would then land in their email address and
I can then download it. What I would receive would
be something like this. This is the PDF lead magnet, and then I would be able to download that and it would have all the information that you have created this
populate magnet. And I'll show you how
to do that later on. That would be a lead
magnet that all would potentially
create for a book that people could then go
onto and download files to go onto the landing page for the
one I already showed you. It will also bring up the steps. And this is the page
that I've created. And you can see how I've got the details
of first name and email address against something which I'm gonna be
showing you how to build a bit later on. And it's not since simple, and you've got
different settings here which we can do as well. And it's something that I will be teaching
you in this course, how to design your landing page, along with some
ideas that can help create you and design
your lead magnet results. And that is gonna be one of the important action steps that I'm gonna
getting you to take. That's the landing page for your book that someone
would land on. Again, the great thing is you don't need a website
for something like this to work once you would complete it within
push published. But that'll be taught to you in a lesson,
upcoming lesson. The next one we're
gonna be looking at. We've got out bro casts which
are one-off broadcasts. And you can create
those that we send out. We teaching you how
to do that as well. Go back to here sequences. This is when we create
a sequence of emails that after a certain amount of time and then another
email will be sent. So if we go to this
sequence here, then this is the first
email that someone subscribes to get that resource or resources that lead magnet,
that would we say this. Then after thought dies, that would then get the
next automated message which has got free content. Father dies after that. There'll be another
one that goes out. And then thought eyes after
that, the following lemma. And it's got free
content as well. So that's how the
automation system works, which will be teaching you
as part of this course to, let's go back again. And we look at the following
one, which is rules. And that's something
which will be teaching you how to do two. Rules will set a specific action based on something that
you want to happen. And if you wanted someone, someone was to click and
become a subscriber. Once I clicked your
three, the three steps, two more books, aisles, then I would be tagged
as a certain person. Therefore, if you'd a
Mallat or credit broadcast, you can actually tag
what I call a tag. You can tag and find out exactly the group of
people you're sending out. Again, it's something I'll cover further into this course, but they just a few of the key things and
we'll be showing you that will actually help
to create your landing page. Get your lead magnet
organized new book, and create the amount and the sequences that
you can actually automate and gets sent out to your customers once they
have your resource.
9. Lesson 9 The Steps to Make it Happen: This is the exciting part
where we actually start to implement lot of the
things that you're learning. What steps do we need to implement to make these
will come together. Let me show you the next five steps that
we're gonna be implementing. But importantly, after
each of these lessons, I would like you
to pause and take action so I can implement
these as we go through. Because it's taking action which is going to
move you forward. It's taking action
which is going to get everything set up automated. They can have a
system that generates the opportunity to
get more customers, to be able to market
to more people and build this system so
it becomes automated. Let's get onto these
files steps now. The very first step
we'll cover is creating an account.
We'd convert kit. You may already have an
account with another provider, but if you haven't, then
we credit our account. Next thing would be to
create a lead magnet. Show you some steps you can do how our design mine and
some different suggestions. Then we create a landing page and that is through convert kit. Next step, number four is to
create an e-mail sequence. And the fifth step, importantly to add your
details to the manuscript. So that's adding your lead
magnet pij and then inserting the details and also including the link for
your landing page. This is an example of what I've credit if you had
your landing page, this page here would be
inserted into your book. Then we launch NAD
is all automated. Let's move through
the next five steps and remember to take action
after each of them will pose. And this is a great
opportunity to get things moving as part of your
email marketing system.
10. Lesson 10 Why it is important: Welcome to this lesson. Why is it important that we
create the system we created? Because I already, my
customer buys will help you to generate
the initial styles. And this also helps with keyword ranking when
you launch your book. Generally for the first 30 days when you launch
your book on kVp, you'll get a little
bit of a boost. And the algorithm will
be fed by the number of styles and the number of Tom's people are
using your book. Combine with the reviews that you might be
getting as well. When we're looking at generating customer
base that can help us launch at books as part of the review
process team as well. And that's something
that we can talk about later on in
the course as well. Because when we build
our reviews of builds social proof and any
social proof you can get, hopefully the positive
social proof will help with your book sales
because people have more confidence in
purchasing your books. We also build the customer base or we utilize this process because we want to build ongoing styles with new
releases that we have as well. The other important element is when you start your
self-publishing, you need to start to think
about your branding. Where do you want
your brand to go? How do you want that to
transition in the following, by having a supported
customer base that will help build your
brand and witnesses as well. Because when people are
confident with a brand that will buy that brand more
frequently and more often. And even sometimes, even
if the price goes up, I prefer to buy from that brand, then moving to
another brand that I might not comfortable with or confident that they'll get the quality of products that
you are providing them. Next one, probably the
most important one is you build trust
with your customers. And people want to buy from people they feel
comfortable with. And paperwork by Locke. And that is going to be
a general theme, threat. This is to ensure that when you do communicate with
your customers ever, as I've mentioned in a
previous couple of lessons, you need to provide
that value to them. I need to build to feel that
you're giving them value. And then you can help them on the journey that
they're on as well. Generally, our
books are there to either solve a problem
or address and Nate, and if we can be in contact them with their customers
more frequently, that bridge between not knowing them and then knowing
us very well closes up. And we can look to sell more books and products
to that group of people. So that's what's important. And too many self-published his just don't take
advantage of these. As I mentioned at
the very beginning, less than 10% of self publishes take up the opportunity of
building a customer base. And I've found it to
be a huge launch. Probably stick for me when I learned about
this process and the system that I
was able to build up my base of customers. And I love my books. I love the first book,
the second book 8, third book that I've purchased
and now continue to be regular customers for me because of get that
connection with them. Now, develop that trust. Got a regular communication
point that I have with them. And then if I'm
launching new books, then that will know about them. More likely therefore
to purchase the books. So that's why it's important
to build the system.
11. Lesson 11 Create a ConvertKit Account: Welcome to this lesson. This is when the star then
starts to build because we can actually take what
we're learning and put it into
actionable steps. So step number one will be to create a free account
for converted. And what we want to
do is make sure we take advantage of the
14 day free trial. Now, the 14 day free trial disallows you to
test things out. Can you easily worked through the dashboard
and the interface? Is it easy for you to be
able to navigate through? These are things that are
important for you to check out. Now you might be using another platform and
that's fine if you want to continue using that to create the system with
the web building. But if you can see some
benefits of using convert kit, then it might be worth
the 14 day free trial. Now to do that,
I'll just jump onto the convert kit
website and you can actually use the link is part of this course to be able
to purchase convert kit. But let me show you how to quickly get
that account setup. You need to do is jump
onto convert kit. You can use the link
that I provided as well and just go get
started for free. Then what you do is you can
name, create an account, email, password gets started, and that's as simple as it is. Then you be out, access the dashboard and be able to get your
account created. This is the opportunity we
need to pause the course. You need to create
new tab and you need to create your
convert kit account. Remember, you can use the
links that are provided in the course and you can make
sure that you can use, utilize at 14 day free trial. Taking action is
really important stage because if you're not going
to create the accounts, then it's gonna be
very hard for you to set up anything else
as part of the course. So take advantage
of that 14 days and let's get into
step number two.
12. Lesson 12 Creating Your Lead Magnet: Welcome to this lesson. In this lesson, step number two, we're gonna be creating
a lead magnet. Now this example for the course we've been using are three steps
to mobile styles. So I'm gonna give you
a bit of an insight of how I created these lead magnet. And I'll utilize the
platform code Canada. And for Canada, you can
have a pro version, which is a monthly subscription, or you can have
the free version. Now if you haven't
used Canvas before, our Stirling struggling encourage you to
have a look at it. Now of course, it's going
to be differences in what different things you can utilize between the free
and the pro version. When I jump on a more dashboard, actually beta pro version. But of note, when
office started using tab for free for the
first maybe two months, three months before I've been committed to the
subscription model. And it has been just a fantastic investment
from all business. Let's jump into Canada now. Show you firstly what
the end result look like of my free three steps, two more book
sales, lead magnet. Then we're going to
jump inside Canada. Only show you that
an initial draft, how accredited and what you need to do to create
your lead magnet, whatever that molecule o'clock. So let's do that now. This is just an installed
look into Canva and walk the actual
lead magnet looks like. Before I do that, let me just go to the
homepage of Canvas. This is the main
dashboard for canva.com and you can create a
free account if I can. I'll leave a link
in this course. They get Canva. But if you cannot
fall on that link, you can also go to canva.com
and you can sign up with your free account or choose
to use the pro version. That's your choice. Let me log into my
account and I'm going to show you
modulating magnet. And then a few little steps I took to create that lead magnet. This is my lead magnet
that are created as part of my fictitious book. But also it is actually
a real resource that I have used for subscribers
to my YouTube channel. But if we scroll down, you can see how I use different elements to
create it instagram. And it's got the three
steps, step one, and it goes through
the different things during import the book styles. Step number two, getting
eyeballs and your books. Cyp3a, expanding
the broader market. So I created a whole list of different information
which was gonna carry a lot of value
to those people that wanted to download
the free results. So these are the things
you need to consider when you're creating
your own lead magnet. What can you create that will be attractive for those that are reading your book
to want to click on your link or use a QR code to then go to your landing page to download your free resource
or your lead magnet. I felt that this was
gonna be attractive for customers to want to find
out more about book sales. You need to make sure
that what you create, it's in the field of your book. There's no point creating
three steps and mobile styles. If the book was I coloring book for unicorns
or a unicorn coloring book, you need to make sure
that it's actually relevant and it's gonna be
attractive for your audience. When you create
your lead magnet, you can do anything. If you didn't want to use Canva, you didn't have to,
you don't have to. You can just use a word document and then save it as a PDF. Or if you want to be more, there are more of a design
side of things you can use Canva and the followers to create something brand
new from Canada. All I'd need to do is go back to the homepage of Canada and
create a new document. So let's do that for now. So it all depends on what you're wanting to
create and the size of it. But just say it was an
I4 saw as document. You just got to
create the design. Then you can choose the customer's size or
choose one of these as well. So it gives you a lot
of different choices. And just say it wasn't
I4 document size. If you click that, then
what would happen? It would bring up
the page for you. And then you can start your
design process with Canva. You can choose a lot
of different elements. So you've got
different text sizes. So you can actually
create your text. If you write what you could do, you could position
it in the center. Then you can change
the different font, hot, stretch it out,
make it bigger. You can also have
different backgrounds, so you might choose
a certain color. For example, This
is choose this one. And then you can
also go to elements. And you can choose
all different things. So I just said we had magnet. Then you can choose all
different magnet tops. Now, if they usually PSY, if it's a product
version or if it's free. I just say it was this one
here is that this one is free. So you could then choose, and you can then create
your late magnet. If you want to add more
pages, you can do that. You can add different
uploads or you might have a different document or a photo that you want to
add TOO late magnetic. So this is probably not the course to go
into a huge amount of detail about
how to use Canva. But I would recommend
that if you're creating something and you
want a bit of design flay, then Canada is definitely
what you would use. If I go back to mine off by
not get always elements, by using kava and paint
out to design it. So it's nice and
easy on the eye. And I'll paint incorporate, incorporate different
logos and things as well. And when people
download this document, it flows nice and easily. And they get to know, as I've mentioned before
and plenty of other times, it's going to carry
plenty of value for them. So you need to think
about your lead magnet. Firstly, what is the audience and what are you trying
to do to get them to grab your free resource and has had the belly to
be able to give your, sorry, the email to you. And then you can actually create that list and make something that's going to be
attracted to the customer. Now this is the important
part of the lesson. This is where we again need
to pose and take action. If you had in mind a late
magnet that you can create, Think, go ahead and
create that resource. Now can be a Word document. It can be a PDF document. It can be something
created in Canva. It can be a spreadsheet, can be some star tracker. These are the things that
you need to be creative around that is going to
add value to customers, twin toss them to click
on your late magnetic. Then that will take them to a place landing
page to be able to download that document and the night become a subscriber
or part of your community. Now is the time to
type your action, pulls the course right now, and start your development
and your credit prices.
13. Lesson 13 Ideas for a Lead Magnet: Welcome to this lesson. It's just gonna be a short one, but I wanted to provide you with a few different
ideas that you can start to implement yourself in regards to creating
your lead magnet. These are three
different lead magnets at all these previously. One is I publishing truck, next one is a niche tracker and the other one was I afraid and Pie tools because they pay. So let me quickly show
you what they look like. That will not give you
a bit of inspiration to create some other
designs for yourself. Let me show you those now. This is the publishing trek out. So it's about creating
your publishing goals and recording your achievements. And created this from a background in goal-setting
habit development. And it just goes through
establishing your goals, major accomplish,
accomplishments, improvements, lessons, things like that. So there's different track
is it you can incorporate into this lead magnet
that was number one. The second one that I created
was I niche truck out. So let me show you that one now. This is a simple niche
track of self-publishing. If they're doing research, can use the truck out to note down the different niches
that they're looking for. Whether the, what
the keywords are, long or short tail keywords, average based search
results, etc, etc. That was the other one I did. And you've got the template
for the niche research. And then the fauna
one was one at bat, different resources that you
can use for self publishing. This is the free and paid
tools for candidate pay, lead magnet resource or credit. Again, it goes through
all the free tools, different extensions, Pie tools as well that you can use and links and
things like that. So that was another race also I created to help solve publishes. Now it depends on the
book you're creating. Depends on the nature in. But you can already
use PDF documents, Word documents,
Excel spreadsheets, and not be a one-page flaw. Could be a tracker to
be anything like that. So I hope this lesson has
helped you give a bit of an idea what she can create, and therefore use it
as a great lead magnet within your book or
within your presentation, or have that look for
you going forward.
14. Lesson 14 Creating Your Landing Page FINAL: Welcome to the next lesson. We're gonna be looking at
how we create landing pages. Remember, you don't need a website when you're
using convert kit, create a landing page. The landing page
ISI on this slide here is one are easily
created on converted. But let me just show
you a couple of different varieties of landing
pages that are created. They don't want to
walk you through live. The process ongoing to do, to create a landing
page for this course. It's going to be a
step-by-step process to help everyone that
participates in this course through a step-by-step
process that will allow you to follow the steps
to get everything set up. So let me show you the
landing pages of credit. Then let me do the
live demo of creating this lead magnet
for this course. This is one of the
landing pages. Was the free and paid tools for caddy pay or created
this on convert kit. And what the customer would
do once I see the link. Now this one appeared in
one of my YouTube videos. And I will click on the
link would tighten to this landing page that
would go to download today. And that will
complete the details, first name and address
titles and download. Then what would happen
is that would go to the email as a PDF document and that will be able
to download that. Let's have a look
at another one. This is another landing
page or credit. This was the KD pay upload step-by-step manual to
apply paperback books. Again, following the steps to successfully launch your
book to Amazon cardiac, pay, what I would do, first name, email address,
download more copy. Now if someone happens to
download both of them, they're not added as
two different people. Unless I use two different
email addresses, it's the one person. But what I would do is
what they call add a tag. And that tag would let me
know where that person's come from and what
different documents I more than downloaded
either the journey. There's just a
couple of examples, but let me now take
you through the law of demo of how I'm going to create my landing page for more resource to help those at once create the
email marketing system. And they convert kid. And let's start with
step number one. And that was to create,
model a magnet. My lead magnet is
to create a setup. God for self publishes
to walk them through the exact processes that I'm teaching you as
part of this course. It is a comprehensive guide. Step one, credit an
account subscribe is going through on boron, sorry, one of Broadcasts
creating a lead magnet. Landing pages, email sequences, rules, tags, the bicep
checklist, and summary. These different links as well. This is going to be
more laid magnum. And what I need to
do is save this as a PDF document and that will be included in
more convert kit, a more laid back then
and more landing page. So let me quickly just say that what I would
do is go up here. And I would change this
across to PDF print, download the pages,
and download that. Let me just say that in the fall and I'll refer back
to that in a moment. The next thing I would
want to do is save this as I cover in each day for AAC and use that
in my landing page. Now you might have a different
cover that you've got. But if it is part of
your lead magnet, then you can use this. What all would do if
you're using Canva, I'll just go to
the front page or download as a PNG image, but I'll just go to
page number one. And then I would cite that. And in that side of the image, which I can again use for my
convert kit landing page. That would be the second step
as part of this process. The next step I usually
take 0s to create a 3D mockup image of modulating magnetic depends
on what you're late 1980s. In this circumstance,
I'm going to be using a free book mock-up code,
DRY book covers.com. I don't need to create my image so I can use
it in the landing page. Let's just choose
this one just here. Next is we click here on ne to apply the image
of my guidebook. Let me just go and do that now. Brass images. Then once I clicked on it, I upload it and you'll
see the image copy. Next thing we need to do
is click the next button. Scroll down and choose whether you want a PNG image or a JPEG. I'm going to choose JPEG. Then that will give me
the image of the mock-up. I thought I click on that image. I can say my mock-up here, and it's gonna be perfect
for more landing page. Let's move to the next step. Next step is actually
creating that landing page. And as I've mentioned
previously, don't need a website for
these landing pages, which is great by using. What we need to do is
go up to the tab that says grow, click on growth, click on landing pages
and forms within, get a choice of or the
former landing page. Click this one just
here, landing page. Then you get to
choose your template. There are a number of different categories
you can choose from. But if we scroll down here, you can see there's
quite a few you can have a look at and say it is
something suitable for you. Now, the one we're going to
be using for our listen, he's a bit further down here. Let's choose this
one is here, CSM. We choose siesta. The first thing we
need to do once it comes up is changed to nine. We click on the little pencil that's organized there. Now what we need to do is work through this page and change
the elements that we want. Now the first page you've
got the general stalls. If the background color is
not really what you want. And you scroll down
here and we can see all the different
things that we can change. We've got the header
background, content, background, the box background. So let's change that one. And let's go to more of a
color, maybe like that. Then we can change all this
information here as well. So we might go with system, then he can change his rotting, might want to even have that at mop them up being
nothing that you want. So we might just delete
that for the moment. Then you've got
your sewn up box. So you'll want to
query a button. Each element is click on it and then allows
you to change things. So let's make that into again. Let's go to more of
this color here. Color just click out of it. And we can change the colors, so we can change that as well. So you might want to change
this to Dan light today. If we want to change
your CME to click on the image and we
need to replace it. Now this should give you a whole list of different images that you might of uploaded
in the past. I've already got
this one just here. We might want to use that one, or we could upload
our 3D image fall, which was this one
here, the MOC image. So I can do that as well. That might be saying you won't, but it doesn't quite look
the way I wanted it to. So let's replace, let's
choose this one here, and that looks
much, much better. You can also change the
elements just here as well. So if we go back
to general styles, we can see the error. We might want to
change that arrow to a similar color
to this book here. If that was the
case, got to Canada. And I'll click an image, click on this
little button here, and then that would
take you to the colors. And I'll click on this button
here and copy this code. Just here. I can go back here. And I can change this
code to the Kaltura want. Then it's a bad just going
through each of these areas. Now, this background again, you can change that color. You might want to change it
to that color we just had, which is that one there. You can add different images. The button color would
need to be different. So let's do a button color there and the
rotting phone color. Let's go to the
darker color again. You might want to have you can change these
elements as well. Now you can add fields, it can delete fields. You can have different
custom fields. If you want to,
you can change it to second name or first name. You can add different
ones that you feel are appropriate under your name. You might just
want to have nine. Then you got the e-mail
address, which is fun. You can change the color
of the font top as well, and the border colors. Remember, you need to change
the rod in here as well. Today. Just make sure you've got all the
spelling rot delay that they laid it there. If you want any of this routing, don't have to have it easy, highlight it and delete it. We're almost ready to go. You can add more content, you can change the
button says Remember, if you want, I think just
click on each section. And then that will
allow you to change it. If you want to get back
to the general styles, you can do that as well. You can add a background if there's a background that
you want to add to it. Oh, for example, at the
moment you can say that background of the mountains are quite happy for that study. And that is the starting point for creating our landing page. Now the next thing we want
to do is go to Settings, which is a button just here. We click on settings. We've got general, when a
visitor subscribes the page, this is the message
I'll get success. Now check your e-mail to confirm your subscription
so I can lay that. You can change it to whatever
you wanted to if you want. Particularly custom nine. So at the moment this
is one of these, but we might have, let's call it god. This is gonna be what
the domain nineties. When we getting our
link organized, we can, when we got here, we click on that one and
then we just go, this is, this is the link it's gonna be, it'll provide for us.
So we just got add. There'll be another option. Now what I would normally do, and I encourage you to do this. You can get the links elsewhere, but on only law
to copy the link, because this is gonna be
our landing page link, which is going to be
putting in our book. We want to copy that link and we're going to be placing it in a spreadsheet. Let's just that for the
moment, we can go back to it. But the first thing
I'm gonna do is go to a spreadsheet and
included in there. What I'll do is bring up a spreadsheet and I
will paste the link. And we might just want to
have what it's called. Knew we could cite
that document. And therefore, when we need to refer back to it to get the
link, it's there as well. But we can also find
these Lincoln bucket. But just another way that
I like to do things. Understanding is again, we can, we've got the information there, incentive, so we can send me send an incentive fee amount. Once I get that as well. Advanced, you can check. You cannot recapture information as well and SEO and analytics, if you wanted to rank in
different search engines, you can do that as well. That's all under
the Settings tab. That's easy to be able to adjust our society
at the moment. Once you feel comfortable
with everything, just have a quick
look through it. Make sure you've got
the spelling correct. Make sure you got
the buttons correct. The design in a, remember, you might want
to change this as well. The things he's
going to check that. And you can just make short, if any, so you can bold it. You can also add
different things as well. By clicking that button, you can add images, always sorts of things. So it's really,
really handy to have the functionality or convert kit to be able to do these
easy things for you. And you can change
the font size, the font type, the color. Scroll down and make sure
we got everything download, you'll setup gods, died, steps, Golgi 3D convert
key process, nine, first-time email address,
and then download as well. What we need to do. We can cite it and name when
we're ready to it, ready for anyone that
clicks on the link, we got to publish. And then it's got the
link here as well. If you want the longer link, we've also got our
customers link, but you might want
to copy that one, put that in your
spreadsheet as well. We can put that there. That's the other link. We can use either one of these
links that is ready to go. Now we can go preview and have a look and see
what it looks like. This is what it's
gonna look like when someone lands on that page, we'll go to an extra tab and
we want to put that in it. Then goes straight to that page. It might need some changing. You might want to add a background pizza,
different colors. That's the option that you get when you're
using converter circuit. You can change a lot around. And that's the process that you follow to create
your landing page. You can make it as original
as you want to end this great options for you to choose regarding
the templates. So happy families
helpful and you can go ahead now and create
your own landing page. Remember the tight
action as part of this next tip because
that's how you're going to move forward with creating your own email
marketing system to get more customers for your brand and for future sales as well. Now before I finish this lesson, there's one critical component that I've ever
looked to include. That is, how do we include the download or the document or PDF is part of that setup
God, and so publishes. When someone clicks on your landing page and they
wanted them live document, how does that fall into the
e-mail? What funding to do? I go to settings, go down to incentive, click Download, and
then you click, you choose your document. I chose to convert kids, so that was this one here. And then it downloads like this. Make sure you cite it, then we can publish it. Now it says downloading
that document, and that will be the
document that is included in an attachment for the email address
when a customer clicks on your landing page to receive their leaves late night, then we save it. Then make sure
everything's ready to go. I have changed up a
cow's a little bit. Following the end
of the last lesson. Think it's a better
color scheme, then we go publish. And you've got the link here
that we cite earlier on. That's how you include the PDF. Lead magnet or morphine
Excel spreadsheet, whatever your lead magnet. That's how you included
by going to settings, you go to incentive, download, choose the file byte for
it to upload the inside. And that concludes this lesson.
15. Lesson 15 Create an Email Sequence: Welcome to the next lesson. Now hype, you took action and
created your landing page. Because the next part
of our process and that sequence is to create
an e-mail sequence, which means that we need to
go back into convert it. And I'm gonna show
you the steps to create a number of
different emails. It can be automated once
someone becomes a subscriber. Now this is a great
system to generate because it is once you credit a hands-off approach and you can let the system run
and it can actually help build confidence and that connection with your audience more often and more frequently. Let's go back into
convert kit. Now. I'm gonna show you how to create your e-mail sequences and the best methods to
be able to do this. I just start out
e-mail sequences. We just got to the
main dashboard again. And up here it says Sindh. We click Send and you
go down two sequences. They can go to e-mail templates, which will just give you
different templates you can use. You can start
creating more days. But just for the moment. And to make it nice and easy, just go to the sequences. Then what we need to do
is click on New Sacred. We click there and we
start as sequence nine. We might just call it the sequence so-called
foreign body. So we know we've got
a correct sequence. Then we need to start to rot
out an e-mail sequences. Now these can be ones that you drafted previously
and then you can just copy them from Word
and put them in the lock to have other things you might like to start using
these template. When you click on this, you can push Enter. You can just reuse it
like a normal AMO. But on the plus, you
can include the images, falls, patterns, dividers,
videos, all icons. You might even want
to personalization. So if you had existing subscribers
and you want to address them by nine, you
click personalization. You can do subscribe
the firstname, personal screening, so include the subscribers first-time
integrating, it exists. So let's do that one. Say how I run the name. If it doesn't have
my first name, it what would say hello there. You can change that
if you wanted to. You could just call it
hot air or just high. It's up to you. Then what you need to do is start to rot the
body of your email. Now when you create these, can fill out all the information you can use bold writing. And what we can do
when you need to create the tone line from when S sequence
is going to go out. First thing you need to do
is have your subject lawn. So when you send the
email subject line, mop, how to get customers to click on your lead magnet. That might be just be
the subject hitting. And then you would start
to rot your information. Again, you might want to
add different videos, different links to places. If you want to create a
link to a certain page, then you could do that. And you can HTML block
or an image or button. What I'm gonna do
is show you some of my e-mail sequences and
how they put together. What you need to do though, is organize the time that your email is
gonna be sent out. When someone clicks
on your landing page, that'll download
your lead magnet. Then if to say three dice, that would then receive this automatically amount
that we currently drafting, then if you wanted to, you can add another AMO. What we do is go to add e-mail. And then this would be
a in my email number to my email number two would be st. At this point on one die off to a nama
I email number one. We might increase it to seven
days after the last demo. Then you can start
filling out these as well and correct
the second name. If you wanted to create
your third email sequence, was part of the sacrum at email. Then what we do
is go to the day. So we might do after three days after
velocity mount or it might even be after two weeks. The next day Mao guys out. Again, he's an automation. Once you create your sequence, that's how you
create all of those. Now, I'm gonna show you one of my email signatures or email
sequence and how that works. Rather than putting together all brand new ones for these, I'll show you something
you've already created. We just delete these ones. Might actually go back out of here and delete the sequence. And I'll go into one
of my existing ones. What I'll do, I'll going
to get more styles. Sequence. These comprise
of 1234 different emails. What I've set it up
is that the customer, once I've clicked on a link that will be taken
to the landing page. I then download
the three sips to more book styles off to two dice that we save this
first email sequence. And it's got a video about
the seven things that people might not be doing that could cause them not to get these many books
cells as I should. Again, it's importantly
adding value. Then, after four days after that initial
email that I received, an email from a guy
named these personalize, if there's a first-name
that subscriber. And I'll talk about
my approach to self-publishing and the
importance of goal-setting. And people are the
customers can then download a free 12-month publishing truck and the truck out
journal tracker, which you can also track your goals that you want to sit up for the next 12 months. A guide adding value. Then after thought dies, after that second e-mail, another one will come through. This is about what
people can expect on a journey and talking about how it's important to focus on the long-term and a couple of things that I've
experienced personally. Then the final aim is helping people that are
publishing on keda pay, for example, with three different options
so that I can do it. I can participate or I can watch the 90-minute free
content, YouTube, Iago. Then you've got the link there. Or I can go and check out
the publishing accelerator, which is more low and no
content publishing course. Or I can go to another course
that I've got as well. So these are the different
options that I can choose. These options again,
it's providing valuable content that
people want to read. And we'll get a
lot of value-add. That's how step the UML sequence for the three steps
and mobile styles. Remember if you want to set
up these kinds of buttons, then it's not so simple to do. You would just click the plus
button and add a button, and then you can just adding the HTML link for that as well. I've included myself and I've got the links down
here for other courses. That's how you can set
up an email sequence for those that are actually clicking on
your landing page, downloading your lead magnet, and then I start to get
these automatic emails. But how how do you
set up the sacred as well to ensure that you tag the people that are actually
getting these emails. What we need to do is go
to automate and rules. If we look at these rules, if someone subscribes
to a form which is a three-sixths to sell
more books landing page, then the rule of God. If they subscribe, you
brought the actual form. So if I go to the landing page, so you've got different options
here that land on that. Then the actual Bates tag the user as a YouTube
more book sells download. So all I know when I subscribe
on this one just here, this person has downloaded mod three steps and
my book styles, I paint tag with YouTube, more book sales download. And after subscribe into three steps to move
book says landing page, then it was three hours ago. The tags allow you to track
way subscribes a coming from. And also if you're doing an automated e-mail system or what they call it broadcasts, which I'll talk about
in this course. A broadcast is a
one-off message. Then you can categorize the people that are going
to receive that broadcasts. So you might not want, all of you receive that. You may only want a certain
group of people that MOD of subscribed to three steps in my book cells just to get
that one-off broadcast, we can talk about that light up. But that is part of
the rooms process. And you can do different ones. You can sit new rules. So the trigger point is if I
can play a certain sequence, then the outcome or the action
will be one of these ones. And you can then save that rule. That was under the
auto auto Maite. Sorry, what did I tab
under rules here. That's how you set up
the email sequence. Requires you to
create your emails. And it requires you to
come up with some value, valuable content that
will then flow after a mouse and make sure you don't send e-mails
to frequently. Because again, once
you lose, I subscribe, you can't get them back
again because I've unsubscribed unless I re
subscribe for some reason. That's important that
you continue to sin valuable content and don't
send it to frequently, give it some time
between each of them. Because it also depends
on the content. As a female progresses, maybe there's something that you can move the customer closer to regarding future books
that you've got going. A particular website, being part of a launch team for new
books that are coming up. They are the kinds of things that you need
to think about. That was all about the AML sequences and
creating knows to automate them for your customers
and for future styles.
16. Lesson 16 Email Visual Automation: Welcome to this
lesson just to finish up regarding your
email automations. Now what I've done
is I've gone and created an e-mail sequence. And I'll show you these snap. So if we go to sequences and our guide to
convert kit setup DOD, what we're going to say here is the two emails that are created just to show you
how it's all going to work. And these are the
e-mails that you receive when you sewn
up on the landing page, received the setup God, it'll say these
e-mails come through. So shall you what
they look like now? Then when you get them, you'll see how it's all automated and that's what
I want you to follow. What I've done is I've created mod2 e-mail
sequences here, written up the information, talking about the
different action steps. And then I've got
more details here. That's after three days
when someone would receive the setup guide in their email and
I've downloaded it. The next day, Mao
will come off to seven days of
following that e-mail. And I've got here as promised, here's my follow-up
email, exactly seven days opt to
the previous one. So you'll say this
land in your email. So it's gonna be interesting
for you to say the sequence. There'll be only two
miles come through. And what I've got is a funnel to action steps that creating landing page in the
email sequence. And I've got launched
the press now, if you want to or need to go and set up your
convert kid account. That's got more
details here again. The next step you
need to do though, just to make sure
everything's organized, you go to automate
visual automations. Now what I've got here is I've created a convert
kit automation. What I did, I clicked on you won't new automation that
would look like this. We go start from scratch. It says whether
someone joins a form. If I joined a form, which form is we convert
kit setup guide. And then I'll start building it. Let me go straight to the
one that are created though, the convert kit automation
just to show you. So I set it up. Then I added a tag. Someone signs up to the
convert keep God did that. Plus button goes convert kit setup guide and there's a tag that's associated
with that person. Then I click the
plus button again. And that took me through
to the opportunity to send that email sequence
through to those people. And then it's got the
end of the automation. That's how the automation
sequence works. I'll just sit up one

it, light up and I just wanted to show
you how it works. So we've got automate
visual automations. We're going to go
new automation here. Guys, staff from scratch. Once it loads up for
me, joins a form. Then any form, It's gonna
be the convert it setup guide plus create a new formula. So we just got out of veins. They want audit was pushed plus and I'm going
to do an action. So if someone got to the landing page of the
convert kit setup guide, then what I wanted
to do is add I tag and I had the conflict. It's setup guide tag. If you wanted to, you can create your own ones so you
can just go convert, deny just as an example. Type. Then we add the action. Then we click Plus again. The action would be to be
part of the email sequence, which AML sequence was the
convicted setup guide. We add that action and then it's the end
of the ordination. And that's how you see how that all comes
together and works. But you also need to do
is make sure you name it. So we're just gonna
call it the demo. When we go back at some, at here as well. Now, if you want to, you need to make it law if
we just click that button and that would make that process in automation law for you. Let's go back here. I'll show you if you do need to delete it, what you would do. I'll just move my camera, is just go to these
three buttons here. Delete it, and we
don't need it anymore. And if there are any others, we don't need this one, eta. So we delete that one too. That's the visual
for the automation. And it's important
that you go through and set this up as
well so that you know all the steps that
are gonna be happening as part of your automation
for your emails. So you had the same, so he cried the sequence
and then the automate, you got the visual
automations as well. Hopefully that helps you sitting
up via e-mail sequences.
17. Lesson 17 Add Your Lead Magnet to the Manuscript: Welcome to step number five. We're gonna be
looking at how to add your lead magnet to
your manuscript. I'm gonna give you a
few examples here. How have you used it in paperback books and
also in a book? And to show you how to include
that so that customers can easily get to your landing page to download that lead magnet. This is the next step and
you need to follow closely. You can actually include
this in your manuscript from your next book or existing worksheet
I'm already have. So when a customer is
going through your book, if it's a private bank book, they might be scanning
through and they go, Well, I wouldn't mind getting how to sell more books as
an extra resource. I'm enjoying this book. This is the lead magnet
that would include. And what I'd need to
do is either enter this website link here or
easily scan the QR code. Now guys, remember, I have checked with Amazon
card a PE and yes, you can include QR codes, all links in your books
for this kind of thing. Now these QR codes
or these links, it could be a link
to a landing page. It could be an
author central page to sell more of your books. You can create whatever
you want to in your books to lead
customers to go to a different avenue and needs to be as
resistant as possible, meaning the process of symbiotic get to your landing
page needs to be no snazzy. This was the illustration
are provided, so you just need to
provide it in a book. Now, I've written
a previous book called The habits switch in the habit switch in the
e-book version or do have a link to a resource or
credit or lead magnet. So let me go to that one now. Inside the book. So you've got the contents
and on the back page six, I had your free
gift as a y sine. Thank you for
purchasing his book. Offering a free habits
switch checklists. Checklists you'll
be provided with 7-pack that path or case
the habit development. And that we'll click
on the link here. And then that would take
them to the late night. Now previously I was
using Mailchimp. It wasn't funny it to be the most efficient way of
getting delayed magnet. So that's why gone
across to convert kit. But that was a simple
method and I will click on the link and it would take him typed in to that landing page. Let's have a look at
another y that you could do it if it was a
different kind of book. If you've created
a activity book, does has a low content book. On page two, you had
your lead magnet. So thank you for purchasing my first activity book
for shapes and numbers. We know that your child
will find it to be beneficial in their learning
of letters and numbers. And we hope to have fun in
the process to download a free ten-page learned to
trace numbers resource. Please scan the QR code, blood scan the QR code, and that would take them
to the free resource or the landing page to
be able to download that free resource network, create these QR codes. What you need to do is go to QR code generated for authors. And that is a great Y2. Putting your link, if you had your landing page link
which we had before, which was just here, we can then copy, put it into a QR code generator. This is for the steps,
the setup guide. We will then download the QR
code if we'd be ready to go. So that's the QR
code for my book. That would take you to
the landing page to download the step the sorry, the setup guide for converted. That's how you would use that
QR code generator for that. And you can also
upload an image and include that within
your QR code. What we need to do is make sure that when you're adding your
QR codes or your links, that you're doing it in the y. And if we have a look at our original version of
how to sell more books, we might open it up
and I'm not being pij two or three
after the contents, or it could be at the very back. And when I get to
the end of the book, I find out there is a free resource and
then that will take them to your landing page
to be able to download it. Now, as I mentioned before, you can use page in
your book or other, pipe it back or a heart
attack with the QR code. And if it's an e-book, you can simply just do a link
and I can click on that, which will take them
to the landing page. Now there's a reason
why you can't link or have a landing page or a link that takes
them somewhere else. Could be your own website. It could be author central pitch to see your extra resources. There might be something else. Do you want to direct
your customers too? So that's another
important feature of making sure that when you do put your landing
page in your sorry, you lay magazine that you're putting in the
rock part of your book. And then with your link, we can use our spreadsheet, which we had our links on there. Or you can go to back to your setup guide and you just
need to go up to settings. Then you would go to the domain name and you'd
copy, copy that one there. Oa, copy. Copy this one just here as well. That's the link that you need
to use to then insert it. So I clicked on
the landing page, follow the link that
will then type them to the ability to
download your resource. That person that gets added as a subscriber to your
convert key account. That'll have a tag that
he's added to them based on your rules, your actions. They die a particle system
to then email them again. Your customer, if you want them to be part
of a review team, if you have other resources or other information you
want to send them. And you consider those
e-mail automation systems or sequences so that they can start to receive some
in emails every five days, ten days, maybe
every six months, depends on the structure you
want to implement as well. That's how you put your landing page details into your books, your resources. And then you can have that link there or QR code
for your customers to then make their way to the landing page and
download the results. So that's this
lesson is concluded.
18. Lesson 18 Building an Audience: Welcome to this lesson. It's about building
an audience and I want to point out a
few different places we can build your audience to
build your subscriber base. The place you're probably more likely to build
your audience by. If I self-published
will be of course, follow the books he creates
and we're putting out link in your book sport landing page to then download the
lead magnet in. Otherwise could be VOD blogs or newsletters that you create. Perhaps you could start
a YouTube channel. And in your YouTube channel, you could have your
links to direct, subscribe as viewers
through TO landing page. And that's where
generate a lot of more traffic as part of these
prices of email marketing. I'll combine that with
my books as well. But I do find that the number of people that are going
to my YouTube channel, so forth as well, self publishes that are looking
to further enhance the, the marketing or their research
or how to create books. So that's where I'll get
a lot of my traffic from. And then there's also
leveraging social media. You might have different
social media accounts. They might be
something you can do, an Instagram or even Facebook. There might be other platforms
as well that you can utilize to direct traffic,
trivial lead magnets. Now this is the
kind of thing you need to think broadly about. There are plenty of ways you
can utilize the system that becomes automated and you can set it up for the
long term as well. And that's why it's
such a powerful tool. When you do automate
things and you have your email
marketing system setup, it might take an initial bit
of work to get it going to correct your lead magnet to
create the landing page, to create your e-mail sequences. But collectively, once
you've created that, it is I sit and forget and it is automated critic

19. Lesson 19 Book Review Team: Welcome to this lesson. It's gonna be a short one, but a powerful one
for you and an important one that
you could potentially use for book launches are the easiest myself
for several books, which really helped
me to gain traction in the first 30 days
upon launch my book, it's called a lunchtime. What you do is part of your subscribe as you
might communicate to them, it might form a better part of your launching for an
a book, for example. What you'd have in your
communication is to say that if you'd like to be
part of my lunchtime, then you would
receive a free copy of my book in advance
of the launch. And for that, you'd provide
an unbiased review on Amazon. Now because it's an
unbiased review, then you are meeting the
obligations of cardiac pay. You're not giving away
something for free and telling them they have
to give you a review. It's up to them either by
law to provide a review. And it must be unbiased. When they do communicate
their review, then they should say that they've received a free
advanced copy of the book. And in return, I providing
an unbiased review for the book that helps getting some traction
with social media. So social proof through different social
media channels and those reviews can really
help accelerate your styles. It's just one way
you can think about using all subscribe advice, but it's part of
your review time. Now there's another
way you can do it by using a platform
called Book spread. Now books, Brad's, you, what you do is larger
book up to book spread. They provide a link, then you can communicate, adds to your review
team that the book is available for free download. For unbiased review books, bread will take care of the
submission of that book and following up to make sure that they
provide you a review. If you haven't heard
of book spread before, make sure you Google
that and check it out. So there are different ways
we can use our audience. And if you wanted to, you could always use these
for paperback books. But of course it's
going to be much, much harder to provide
a physical copy of IP paperback book in return for a review and make sure
it's done boss reviewed. And they include that
in the comments. Under the review. That's a y that you can think
about using a subscribers. You can use that information
in your book as well. Just say that you're
building a lunchtime and to click on the
link to the part of the lunchtime and
you will notify them when any of your new books
are about to be launched. They have it. That's another
powerful way to use your email marketing
system to build a lunchtime for your e-books and potentially your
paperback books.
20. Lesson 20 How to Create a Broadcast: Welcome to this lesson. It's about broadcasts. I'm going to explain to you
what a broadcast is and how you can implement that to communicate with
your subscribers. Now the broadcast is a one-off communication and
it can be pretty powerful. Let me show you what you need to do as part of a broadcast within converted
within convert kit, there's an opportunity to send a one-off broadcast
to your subscribers. Now I'm gonna show you where
this is on the top panel. You just go through two
broadcasts on the sand. Click on that. Then this will take you to an opportunity to
create your broadcast. So let me show you how you can create that and what
one might look clock. Firstly, I'm going to show you an example of ones
that I've done. So let's go increase your kVp books out or styles
for e-book animation. So we click that. That's the stats that
went to 578 recipients. You had an I provided 37.5
and a clique right? Of 2.9. Let me show you what that
broadcasts actually look like. Let me just go here content. And then it shows
you what our center. So it was a YouTube
video that are released about increasing
book sales through animation. And it had some very highly
valuable information. And that's why I think it had such a good conversion, right? And these are the things
that you should be looking at to create
one-off broadcasts. It looks at the open. These are the stats, looks at the different open rights and the clicks and also
any unsubscribe at. So we had to unsubscribe as
during these broadcasts, which is a great result. So let's go back now
and only show you how to create your
one-off broadcast. So we go back to the broadcast and we just got new broadcast. Again, convert kit is very
easy to navigate through. And it's very simple
to be able to create these one-off broadcasts. When you get to your broadcast, it's very, very simple. All you need to do is type
in your subject line. And the example that is gonna be the subject
law and that would hit people's inboxes
and make sure you have a good subject lawn that's going to show gets conversions. What you need to do is
create your content in here. And then once you've done it, so we do content, remember, you can add personalization, you can add headings, you can add videos, galleries is plenty
things you can add within your broadcast. Once you've done that,
you go to Continue. Then what you need to do
is have your address data. And where would you
look at S2 is going to all your subscribers or
you can add a filter. So do you want it to go to? Let's go back here,
subscribe to, and you've got different tags. And you can choose those
people that are part of my YouTube petty
pay upload manual. And then you choose that group. And that's who it will go to. Filter. You can get rid of that one. So it only subscribe to
these people here that these particular broadcast
Foucault add to. What you do is schedule a time. So I can schedule it to say now, we can schedule it
for another time. Just make sure you
got everything organized and then
once you do continue, then it will be sent
at all these people. Now that's why it's
important tag to use tags for certain subscribers. You can actually
send specific and targeted broadcasts
to different people. Because some of the content
you're sending might not be specific to every subscriber
that you're getting. It might be a specific
target market. And that's where they are to use these broadcasts and adding
filters does really help. And that's how you
create your broadcast, your one-off message,
like a newsletter. You can send it to
all your subscribers. You can filter it into
specific categories or groups that will tags or
subscribe as that you've got. And you can schedule it to go out with a repeat once a week, once a fortnight, once a month, once every six months. But it is a really
good, powerful tool. And you can see again
how easy convert kit has been to use to create all
of these automations, these landing pages,
the broadcasts, tags, actions, organizing things are just so simple
within convert kit. That's how you do the broadcast for your audience
and subscribe this.
21. Lesson 21 Pause and Complete the 5 STEPS: This is where I want
you to pause and to take action because
many people get stuck at this point where
I haven't taken the required steps to get
these prices happening. I'm going to quickly go
through those five steps. We want you to pause and to actually take
action to get it done. So firstly, number
one was to create an account that might be a
new convert kit account. You might have another account
that you have already. Number two was to create
your late magnetic. Now, mod Tikki a few asked
to create your lead magnet. But it is really important
that process to create a spreadsheet or to create a PDF document or
a Word document, something that's going
to In toss customers to click on your link today per
se through to downloading. Number three is to create
your landing page. So the design elements
of convert kit, which might make it
nice and easy to do. And then we want to
make sure to attractive for customers when I do land on it to
include the data sales. Number three. Number four is to create
an e-mail sequence. Once they get in the system
and become a subscriber, then that will save a sequence
of emails that might, might give them extra value in that particular niche
that you bookmark in. It might be introducing them to more of your books as
part of your brand. Part of your e-mail sequence
you need to rot and include as part of your
convicted automation. And then finally is to add
the link to your manuscript. Remember you can
get your link from your landing page template that you create and you can
include that in your books, your manuscripts, a QR code. Therefore, when a customer
scans at QR Keitel, ain't Is it it'll take them to the landing page,
download that resource. And they didn't become a subscriber as part of your
e-mail marketing campaigns. Data steps. I want you to pause

22. Lesson 22 Set Up Guide and Lead Magnet Email Sequence: Welcome to this lesson. I'm going to be talking through. My only magnet is
part of this course. Now you've seen how
pain order to develop the different structures
for the lead magnets. We've got our landing pages. What I'm want to do is create my own lead magnet
for this course. Therefore, when you
download the late magnetic, you can say the prices
that are paying teaching and how it's
gonna be automated. So the first thing you
do, if you want to, you can scan the QR code on
the screen that you say. Now, that will take you
to the landing page, which we've designed
during this course. Once you've done that, you
will then take you to, once you feel that the details, you will then be able to
download this resource, which is the setup
guide for so publishes. You'd be able to
get the information which I'm going to show you. And you'll be, be put in
automation sequence for emails. Now you'll just get two emails. One will be an introduction
and just the first couple of action steps that you should
have taken if you haven't. Well, it'll just be about setting up your
accounts and then creating your first layer and then a bat seven days later, you'll get a secondary e-mail. Again, it's all automated
and as part of the sequence, when you get that name out, it will be just the
faunal follow-up steps that you should be taking
to sit up these process. Now I'm not going to be sending any more emails than two
as part of that sequence. But I just wanted to demonstrate to you how I've set it up, how you'll receive those emails. So allow them to come through and just look
at that structure. It might be great
way to see how I've structured my email sequence. And hopefully it's
user-friendly for you. So remember that when you
do certainly sequences, they are gonna be automated. So it doesn't matter whether
you awake or asleep. You might be on hold eyes. They sequences will continue
to work for you die not. And that's the beauty
of this system. And that's the great thing
about these lead magnets, that if you do
include information, a bat, you'll books
about a course, for example, that these will
be available for people as I use your lead magnet and they'll sign up,
become a subscriber. And nine, I can get
extra information about who you are,
your brand, etc. Let me quickly show you inside
this lead magnet again. Said that when you do resave it, you get an idea of how of
structured and have set it up. With the e-mail you receive. This will be attached and that's the convert kit setup
guide for. So publish it. So if we scroll through it, what I've done is just put some disclaimer information
in their pulse. I got an introduction. Again. You all lead magnet will
be completely different. But what if I wanted to do
is show people about this, about how to use convert kit
for the e-mail marketing. And so I've got some stories, some peaches that
have got sit at, so it's nice and easy to follow. So we've got a step to subscribe as the one-off broadcasts,
how to do that? Creating a lead magnets, landing pages, headed
to the mouse sequences. The rules that are
involved, creating tags. And then it basic
checklist as well. I've got QR codes forth. You want to register your
account Canvas as well. And then it's got
the steps down here. And then it's also got
that QR code generator, which again you
can scan the code then that would take
you to kindle pronoun, to be able to create that QR
code for your lead magnet, which can go in your manuscript or wherever you need to put it. Then of course summary.
And then I've got the links there as
well that will land in your inbox once you sign up to the landing page and
become a subscriber, again, you just get two emails
as part of the sequence. Just for demonstration,
to show you how this process works. I think you'll find this
resource really beneficial.
23. Lesson 23 Conclusion Final: Thank you very much for
completing the course of their e-mail marketing and focusing on creating
a lead magnet. Therefore, a landing
page for your customers to be able to create
a subscriber list. Now you subscribe where
your customer base will be so important
in these DICOM, there are direct line of
communication that you can say any information
to Pi broadcasts, automations, different
resources, and now grow as your
content grows as well. Your lead magnet can be put, as I've mentioned
during the course in several different places. That can be into books. It can be via YouTube videos. They might be different
blogs you've got. These are the kinds of places
where you need to think strategically about way
you can attract customers. And then over time
that can help you out. Getting email addresses is
something that is incredibly hard to do if you don't have
some kind of laid magnum, the e-mail marketing systems
that we've gotten into place with convert kit will
definitely help you to build. At least. It's something that should be really,
really treasured. Because when you get your
e-mail, e-mail lists, it does become an insurance
policy so that if you did lose contact var a
certain platform, therefore, you've got a backup system
to be able to then get further resources out to these customers who might have purchased your port before. I just wanted to say, thank you so much for
