Easy Line Drawing: How To Draw Simple Trees

1. Drawing Bushy Trees Intro: Hello, everybody. And welcome back to another drone class. In this class, you learn how to draw a few different types of trees to add into your scene. In your heart will be drawing round spreading trees like oak trees. So grab a sketchbook or a piece of paper, your favorite drawing utensils. You need a pencil, a pin and any racer. Now I use find tip pens for these, and any pencil will work for this, and any research helps us clean up any mistakes. Let's get started. 2. Drawing Bushy Trees Basics: All right, We'll start out by grabbing your pencil, and I'm gonna show you a few different types of trees here. Start out here with the oak tree and their simple style of oak tree. You just draw a base and then it has a trunk and we have an oak tree on top. And then once you've drawn it with your pencil, you will just overlay that with your pen and then you come back with your eraser in the race. Any pencil marks on there? Now, that's a very basic tree. Let's move up the scale a little bit here. We're actually gonna add a trunk in here a tree trunk and will actually put leaves or branches in tree to give it a little more detail like that. Grab your pen and we will fill it in like this. Just tracing over your lines. And if your line doesn't go where you wanted it to, you can just draw it where you wanted it with the pen and then grab already. Racer, clean it up. That is the next level up from just a basic Hope tree or a bushy tree. Let's make another one here now. I always start with the base and then I work up from there, Gonna work on a tree trunk. This one's a little bit more elaborate and add in those pushy branches again. Then here in the middle, we'll add another branch, like So grab our pen and just fill that in. No, that's a different type of trunk. We're stepping up. You can see here, going up, getting a little bit more detailed each time. So we're gonna keep adding things as we go alone and then released our pencil marks. There we have it. 3. Drawing Bushy Trees Adding Detail: let me show you a few more. Here, just start with a base, add in your truck and then we'll add in these branches like this. And then there's roots down here at the base. Add those in as well is our tree branches and then these. Instead of just making and even line like we did over here, we're gonna make it. I'm gonna make it a little more uneven and work our way around until we have finished to the top there and then in the middle, where just gonna add a bunch more of those. And that gives us more branch appearance. Then when we fill it in with our pin, follow from the bottom up, those branches in there and then we have these gaps here for the tree branches that go up into the tree. Just follow your pencil mark around and then fill in the branches on the inside. Now let's get a little more detailed, starting with the base at our trunk ing here, and then we have tree branches. Then, of course, the tree itself. But she leaves working our way around. Then just add in a few branches on the inside And if you mess up any, just erase that, then come back with your pin and fill it in. Then, as we go along, we will just keep adding more details. Well, just shade this in here on the left side of the tree trunk. I'm just gonna use across hat shading, and that is a little more detailed technical tree. You can just go back. You race those pencil marks, so let's do a spreading tree more spread out. We'll start with the base here drunk and then make these branches spread out and then simply join our branches a little bit wider. Gives our tree a lot bigger branches, and you can also layer the branches here in the middle of the tree. We're gonna add a little bit of a branch there. It's a little bit of an opening in the tree there, where you can see some branches can make another one over here. Now, each tree that we're drawing here is gonna go up in detail from here. So get this one finished here and we'll start on the next one. So we'll go grab a pen. I will fill this one in when we can add some stippling in the tree. Give it a little more detail. You can also add ground circles to it. If it was a fruit tree with fruit on it, or were lots of tiny little dots, give it a little bit more of a leaf appearance and then some little bit of lines down here in the trunk for a little bit more detail there. 4. Drawing Simple Trees More Details: last few down here be a little more detailed. Well, adding branches on different levels in as well as the trunk Regina poured. So we're gonna put branches at different levels here, as well as the bushy leaves here and there to give it more depth. It's a basic shape here and then just adding these branches around like this, I assume. But she leaves here and there, giving it more depth as well as those other lines we put in the others. Something like that. And then when you come back with your pan, you can, of course, clean up your pencil marks, come up with your pen, and then you can make your pin line go where you wanted it. Really. You can make this any shape you want to, and then just adding these leave, then it's really all up to you, how you want it to look in the end. All right, we'll finish up these branches here and draw one more before working on our next type of tree. Then add a little note in the tree there, And, of course, the roots going down here and then tree branches like that. And she didn't inside of the tree a little bit darker. And then just add, uh, a few little texture marks here and there instead of doing those stippling dots. Just gonna do a little bit of, ah, curved line or little dash here and there to give it more leaf appearance just all around the tree. And there we go. Let's just freehand one here, Michigan. A free hand with just the pen. Whatever we can come up with, you can just imagine where your tree will go, give it kind of circular shape and work my way around, just adding those screw billy type of lines for the branches and then just adding in the tree trunk from there. But not in the tree. Me a squirrel home and then a little bit of texture here for bark and some leaves here in the center. And then I'm just gonna add the leafy texture once I get all my branches and leaves done. So just those little dash marks, little scribbling lines, little curves here and there, and my work my way around the tree, adding in all that little detail, making a little bit darker here in the middle and lighter out here in the veggies. There we go. That's the last of the bushy types of trees. So that's it for this drawing. Be sure to share a picture of your drawing, and I'll see you in the next class.
