1. 1 Introduction: Hello, everyone. This is Nagumina, your crochet tutor. Today we'll be seeing how to make this storage organizer along with a lid. A very cozy storage organizer and the bubble stitch is looking nice and stiff. I have not used any stiffening agent for this. A storage organizer that adores your dressing unit. You can use this to store your hair access aiser. You can also use it to store your bangles or any other jeweler ser. It comes with a cozy lid, very simple and easy storage organizer. It's very easy for beginners. Now let's get started and see how to make this beautiful storage organizer. 2. 2 Crochet Supplies Required: Let's take a look at the materials that are required for this project. Today I'll be using red heart super yarn and today I'm using the shade light raspberry. This is my color A. I'm going to make the box in this color A. For the lid also, I'm going to use the same color. But for the knob, I'm using a different color. For the knob, I'll be using this supersavor jumbo yarn and this is, um, the shade arn. We'll be needing only a very little amount of yarn for this knob. You can even use the same color which you're using for your storage box for the knob. Otherwise, you can change it for a different color for the knob. It's your wish. Today I'll be using a 3.5 millimeter hook, a pair of scissors, a tapestrne needle and few stitch markers. Grab your crochet supplies, let's get started. 3. 3 Making the Base for the Storage Basket: First, let's see how to make the base for our storage organizer, start off by making a magic ring. For this round number one, I'm going to use double crochet. Start off by making chain three, one, two, and three. After making my three chains, using a stitch marker, let's mark the top of our third chain so that it'll be easy for us when we are going to finish our round. Now it's done into the same magic ring, I'm going to work 21 more stitches, 21 more double crochets, one two three. Four. Five. Now we have made five sets of double crochets and this chain three over here, work all the way around. I'll meet you at the end. I have made 21 sets of double crochets. Including this chain three at the beginning, we'll be having a total of 22 sets of stitches. Now let's pull this yarn over here and close the magic ring. Fine. Let's finish this round. Remove the stitch marker over here. And into the top of this chain workers slip stitch, our round number one is completed. Moving on to round number two, make chain three. This will be our first double crochet. Now again, using a stitch marker, mark this chain, top of your chain three over here. Marking this chain three using a stitch marker will help you identify the top of your third chain. It'll be easy for you to finish the round. Now into the same stitch, I'm working one more double crochet. It'll be considered as two double crochets in one stitch. Now what I'm going to do is into my next stitch, I'll be working one double crochet. Now into my next stitch, I'll be working two sets of double crochet. Now one set of double crochet into my next ditch. In this round number two, we'll be alternatively working two double crochets and one double crochet. Now I have worked one double crochet into my next ditch, I'll be working two sets of double crochet. The pattern for this round number two will be two double crochets in one stitch followed by one double crochet in the next stitch. This will be a pattern. Follow the same pattern of working double crochets. All the way around, I'll meet you at the end. I have reached the end of my round number two. At the end of round number two, you'll be having a total of 33 set of stitches including this chain three over here. Now let's see how to finish of this. Remove your stitch marker and we'll make a slip stitch over here. The top of your chain three, our round number two is done. Moving on to round number three, start off by making chain three. In the same way, use your stitch marker and mark it over here. Into the same stitch, work one more double crochet. It'll be considered as two sets of double crochets in one stitch. Now into your next two stitches, work one double crochet each. I started off this round by making two sets of double crochets in one stitch, followed by one double crochet each into the next two stitches. Now I'll be working two sets of double crochet now into the next two stitches, work one double crochet each and now we'll be working two sets of double crochet. The pattern for this round number three will be two sets of double crochets and one stitch followed by one double crochet each into the next two stitches. Follow the same pattern of making two double crochets followed by one double crochet, all the way around. I'll meet you when I reach the end of my round number three. At the end of your round number three, you'll be having a total of 44 set of stitches, including this chain three over here. Now remove this stitch marker. And we'll make a slip stitch at the top of our chain three. So far we made the basic circle pattern. Now we are going to start the pattern for our storage basket. For round number four, what I'm going to do is start off by making chain three, one, two, and three. After making this chain three, now what I'm going to do is I'm going to insert it in my base. Base of the stitch, I'm going to insert my hook over here. Because we be finishing it in the base, so I'm inserting it there. After working three chains, skip the next stitch and into the third stitch, work a single crochet. So we have worked a single crochet. Now again, work chain three. After working chain three, again skip one stitch and work a single crochet. Now work chain three. I have made my chain three. Now again, skip the next ditch and into the next ditch, work a single crochet. Now again, work chain three. And skip a stitch and into the next stitch worker single crochet. This will be a pattern for our round number four. Follow the same pattern. I'll meet you at the end. I have reached the end of my round number four. I made my last single crochet and a chain three over here. We have only one stitch over here. I'm going to skip this stitch and here we mark the base of our chain three right. Remove the stitch marker and here at the base make a slip stitch. In this particular round number four, this chain three space we have here we'll be having a total of 22 sets of chain two space. Now we have made the base for our storage organizer. For me, this size is comfortable and I need only this size for my storage organizer. If you need it to be even more bigger, then you have to increase this number of rounds over here. I round number three, we made two double crochets followed by one double crochet each in the next two stitches. If you want to increase, then you have to increase the next round like, you'll be working two double crochets followed by one double crochet in the next three stitches. The three stitches you'll be following. Then if you want it even more bigger for the next, you'll be working two double crochets in one stitch followed by four single double crochets you'll be working. In that way, you can increase your base for the storage organizer. 4. 4 Making the Sides for the Storage Basket: Now I'm going to work from this space. Let's make a slip stitch over there. Now work chain three, one, two, and three, and this will be my first double crochet into this space, I'm going to work four more double crochet, one, two, three, four. Including this chain three, we have a total of five sets of double crochet. Now we are going to work Now we are going to work our popcorn stitch. For popcorn Stitch, what we are going to do is insert your hook in the top of your chain three over here. After inserting it insert your hook over the loop over here which we left off and pull it. Pull it in tighten it. Done, we have made our popcorn stitch. After doing this, make chain two. We have one and two. Now moving on to the next chain space, I'm going to work five sets of double crochets over here, one We made one, two, three, four, and five sets of double crochets. Now here, insert your hook at the beginning of the first double crochet over here and insert your hook over the loop, we left it over here. Now, pull it together like this. Pull it nice and tight. My second popcorn stitch is ready. Work a chain to now into my next stitch, work five sets of double crochet. After making five double crochets, insert your hook at the beginning of the first double crochet and now pull it tight. Our next popcorn stitch is also ready. Make a chain two. Now, follow the same pattern of making popcorn stitch in each of your chain space followed by chain two, I'll meet you at the end over here. As you can see, the popcorn stitches have come out very nice and beautiful. I have made my last popcorn stitch over here and made my chain too. Now what I'm going to do is over here, we have a small space over here, small hole like one in our first popcorn stitch. I'll make a slip stitch over there. Now it's done. From next round onwards, we'll be working from this space into this space, work a slip stitch. Now we are again going to follow the same pattern which we did for our previous round. We'll be working popcorn Stitch in each of the chain two space and like our previous round, we'll be working chain two after making our popcorn Stitch. Start off by making a chain three and into the space, work four more double crochet. Including this chain three now, we have a total of five sets of double Grochs insert who Cato, top of your third chain. Pull it after making a popcorn stitch, I'm going to make a chain two. Now into my next chain two space over here, I'll be working another popcorn stitch. First, make five sets of double crochet. We made five double crochets. Now insert your hook into the first double crochet over here. And pull it nice and tight and make a chain to. Now again, into this chain two space, we'll be working. Into each and every chain two space, we'll work a popcorn stitch. While finishing, we'll finish at the top of the popcorn stitch over here so you can make as many number of rows as required for your storage organizer. It is looking nice and at the end over here, we can weave this off now cut this off. Make this popcorn stitch all the way around and you can repeat the rows until you reach your desired height for your storage organizer. Once I reach my desired height, I'll show you as you can see, I have made four rounds with my popcorn stitch. You can make any number of rounds of this popcorn stitch as required for your organizer. For me, this height is sufficient, so I have stopped it over here. Now, we are going to make a border row for this basket, and then we'll move on and see how to make the lit for our storage organizer. This last round the border, what I'm going to do is I'm going to make with single crochet. For starting single crochet, we'll make a chain one and into the same stitch, I'll be working one single crochet. I have made my single crochet over here. I'm using a stitch marker and I'm marking my first single crochet. Now we have reached our chain two space. In this chain two space, I'm going to work up two sets of single crochet. I have made two sets of single crochet and now we have reached here, the top of your popcorn stitch, we'll make another single crochet. Top of your popcorn stitch, we'll make one single crochet and into the chain two space, we'll make two sets of single crochet. In this chain two space, if you find it difficult in making two sets of single crochet, then you can work one single crochet, so it's not a problem. Now in your popcorn stitch work one single crochet in the space, work two sets of single crochet. Now work all the way around with your single crochet. I'll meet you when we reach the end over here. I have reached the end, so we made one row of single crochet and I made my last set of two single crochets in this chain two space. Now, remove the stitch marker over here and the top of our first single crochet, I'm going to make a slip stitch. Now, we'll cut this yarn off. Now we'll weep this off. So our storage basket is ready. Now let's move on and see how to make the lid for our basket. 5. 5 Making the Lid for the Storage Basket: I have taken my color B. For this knob alone, I'm going to use my color. In case if you want to continue with the same color, then you can use your same color A for this knob also. First, let's make a magic ring. Our magic ring is ready. We are going to work double crochet, start off by making chain three. I have made my three chains. After making my three chains, what I'm going to do is I'm going to insert my stitch marker over here. Into this magic ring, we are going to work 11 more double crochets, making a total of 12 stitches. We'll make 11 more double crochets. I have made 11 sets of double crochets. Along with this chain, three will be having a total of 12 set of stitches. Now, let's close this magic ring over here, close it nice and tight. After this, what we are going to do is I'm going to remove the stitch marker over here and I'm going to make a slip stitch the top of your chain, three, Our first round is done for our knob. Now let's weave this end off I'll weave this end and I'll show you. I have weaved off the ends, moving on to round number two, start off by making chain three. This will be your first double crochet. After making this double crochet, using a stitch marker, mark the top of your chain three. In this round number two, we are going to work one double crochet into each of our stitches. Even in this round, you'll be having a total of 12 sets of double crochet. Now into my next stitch, I'll be working one double crochet. Work all the way around. I'll meet you at the end. I have reached my end of my round number two, I have made a total of 12 stitches including this chain three. As you can see, it has curled up a bit. See, it has curled up in a bit in the shape of a knob. Since we did not increase in this particular round it has curled up. Now remove the stitch marker over here and make a slip stitch at the top of your chain three. Fine. For round number three, we are going to increase. In this particular round, what we'll be doing is as you can see, we have two stitches over here, a front loop and a back loop. Usually what we do is we go through both the loops while working, but now what I'm going to do is I'm going to work only in my front loop over here. I'll be working only in this front loop for each and every stitch. For this round number three, that is the only thing to be kept in mind. Start off by making a chain three. This will be your first double crochet using a stitch marker, mark it over here. Into a same stitch, I'll be working another double crochet. In this particular round, we'll be working two stitches into each and every stitch. In this round, we'll be having a total of 24 sets of stitches. Now moving on to the next stitch here, I'll be working only in my front loop. We have a back loop over here. This is my front loop. So work two double crochets. In a similar manner, work two double crochets into each and every stitch by working only in the front loop, not in both the loops. Follow the same pattern, I'll meet you at the end. Now it has taken shape and I have reached end of my round number three and I have a total of 24 stitches including this chain three over here. Remove our stitch marker and into our top of our chain worker slip stitch. Now let's cut our extra yarn over here and I'm going to join my color A, make a slip nut. Now insert your hook into your chain three over here. And pull it through now make chain three, one, two, and three, and this will be your first double crochet. Top of your chain three, insert your stitch marker over here and now into the same stitch, I'm going to work an increase. How it will be considered, it'll be considered as two double crochets into our first stitch. Into my next stitch over here. It is a little bit hiding here. Make sure that you don't skip this one and into this stitch, we'll be working one double crochet. Into my next stitch, I'll be working two double crochets. From here on we'll be working in a normal way by going through both the loops. I'm going through both the loops over here. So there in order to differentiate the knob from the lid, we have worked only in the front loop from here on we'll be working in a normal way. Now I have worked up two sets of double crochets. Into my next stitch, I'll be working one double crochet. Follow the same pattern of working two double crochets in one stitch followed by one double crochet in the next stitch all the way around. I'll meet you at the end here. Before that, what we are going to do is we'll weave both the ends over here. We have weaved off the ends, we'll cut off the thread over here. Now follow the same pattern, I'll meet you at the end over here. I have reached the end of my round number four. I have made my last set of double crochet one double crochet. Now remove your stitch marker here and into this stitch work one slip stitch. We are done. In this round, you'll be having a total of 36 set of stitches. Moving on to R Round number five, I'm going to work a chain three. This will be counted as my first double crochet. Again, I'm inserting my stitch marker. If you are a beginner, inserting your stitch marker while beginning your round will be easy for you while you're finishing the round. If you are very well versed with this crochet, then there is no need for use of a stitch marker. I'm using this so that it'll be easy for you to identify my top of my chain three. I have marked it. Into the same stitch, I'll be working another double crochet. I have worked an increase over here. Two sets of double crochets into my first stitch and into my next two stitches, I'll be working one double crochet each. Into my next stitch also, I'm working one double crochet. We have worked two double crochets followed by one double crochet into the next two stitches. Now we'll be working an increase of two double crochet. Into our next two stitches, work one double crochet each. The pattern for this round will be two double crochets into one stitch followed by one double crochet each into our next two stitches. Follow the same pattern, I'll meet you at the end. I have almost reached the end of my round number five. As you can see, now it's perfect. If I make one more row, then it'll be perfect for my basket. In case if you make a bigger size basket, you have to repeat one or two more rows. What you have to do is you have to follow the same pattern by making one increase, you'll be making two double crochets in one stitch and you'll be making one double crochets into the next three stitches. In each and every round, you'll be increasing this number of single double crochets. In the same way, if you want to make the basket in a bigger size, then you'll be increasing this base which we did. You'll increase the number of rounds in the same way. In the same way, you'll be increasing here we worked two double crochets two double crochets in one stitch followed by two more double crochet into the next two stitches. In the next round, you'll be making two double crochets. There is an increase in one stitch followed by three set of one double crochets. Like that you'll be increasing. In a similar manner, you have to increase this lid. Now, we are going to make a one more row of single crochet and we'll be finishing this lid portion. Now remove this stitch marker and make a slip stitch into our top of your chain three. And it's done. Now I'm going to make my last row of single crochet, make a chain one, and into the same stitch. Work a single crochet. After working a single crochet, I'm using my stitch marker and I'm marking this single crochet over here. Into my next stitch, I'll be working a single crochet. Into each and every stitch, we'll be working one single crochet in this round. Work one single crochet each and every stitch, I'll meet you at the end. I have reached the end of my last round. Now remove the stitch marker over here and make a slip stitch into the first single crochet. So now let's cut off this thread over here, cut off this yarn over here. It is looking a little bit curled up a little bit stretch it, stretch all the stitches over here. Ne not worry, you can nicely stretch it. See, it is not curling now. Let's finish off this. Now our lid is ready, I have weaved off the ends, see it is looking nice and stiff. We haven't used any hardening agents for this. So it's looking nice and stiff. Now let's see the measurements. 6. 6 Class Project: See the lid is looking perfect and it's looking nice and stiff. We haven't used any stiffening agents for this. Now let's see the measurements. See the base is 9 centimeters. And the sides, it is 6.5 centimeters. While coming to our lid the lid is 10.5 centimeters. For the class project, you can do the same thing in different sizes. You have made a smaller one in case you need a bigger one, then you can make a big one. Increase your base size and you can do it. You can do it in different colors. You can even use a contrast color for the lid and also you can use a multi colored yarn to give you a nice and bright thing. It's looking nice and stiff. In case of any queries related to this tutorial, feel free to ask. I'll revert to you back as soon as possible. I'll see you in another new video tutorial until then by Happy crocheting.
