About This Class

Welcome to DRAWING: Avoid These Mistakes Before Start

In this class, you'll be learning basic concepts that you should know before you start to draw. A lot of people skip the concepts and get frustrated over time. Drawing is not a talent, is a technique that you need to practice constantly.

Since I was a kid I thought that drawing was only for people that have talent and I was wrong.

When I started to draw I started with zero skills and I implemented my methodology and I could get good results I do believe that you can do the same and this is why I decided to share these videos to you.

I hope you enjoy it and I do apologize regarding my english but I tried to do my best.

Thank you.

Regards,

Leonardo Bissoli

1. Welcome to the class: Hi there, My name is loner. Be silent. I just draw for fun. So I start to draw in a few years ago to try to prove myself that I can do something and I believe that everyone can draw. So this was my first drawing and this one, it was one of my last drawing. So I think I would implement good techniques and get good results. So that's it. And see you in the next class. 2. The Mindset: Hi there, Welcome to my class. I have a quick message for you regarding the mindset. Show. You need to change your mindset to make this happen. What I mean when I say in this to draw, you don't need to have talent. You need practice. That's the true. So people are saying, oh, I don't, I don't have a talent for that. No, this is not true because I'm telling by myself, I start to draw from scratch. I know nothing. Zero. If I can do it, you can do it as well. Okay. These true draw hears the left. It was my first drawing. And the other one, it was the draw that I did after seven months of practice. Okay. This guy here, I did almost two years of practice. So yeah, you need to practice all the time. So I guarantee if you do this with the right techniques, you can achieve good results. So I have a message for you. If I can do it, you can do it as well. Okay, so see you on the next class. 3. Avoid These Mistakes: Welcome back. In this video, I just separate for big mistakes that people do when they start to draw. Okay, let's begin the first one they tried to draw without the concepts. Do not just get a pencil and start to drawing. Okay, so it's good to understand the lightening the volume. The deaf pressures are wrong materials. So this is very important. Please try to understand first the concepts and then start to draw next, buying expensive materials. So you don't need to do this. I will show to you later what you need to buy and it's not expensive, you can buy it. This is a very common mistake as well. So the third mistake, too much pressure on your pencil when you are starting to draw, please relax. Do not put pressure in your hand. This is a big and huge mistake, and this is one of the most important things that beginners do wrong. The next one, you are always trying to compare with others. Do not do this. Try to beat yourself everyday, not comparing with other people, okay? Because you get stressful, you're minute, it gets transferred and over time you get frustrated. So just focal in yourself and try to do a better thing every day. So that's it. See you in the next class. 4. The Basics: Hello, Welcome to the basics. So in this lesson, I will show to you the importance of lighting farms, black and white when you start to draw, delighted me, is very important. So as you can see here, you have the light, you have the reflected light, sharp, softer cast a shadow. So the two most important things that you need to understand when you put white in your drawing, it will add the volume and when you put black, it will add depth. As you can see here, we just have a to D flat a ball. And when you start to add black here in this part of the sphere. So these fears start to get some kind of form. So you are adding depth because you are adding black to the draw. And here you can see that the white spot is giving the drawing like a volume disease basic concepts for white and black. Next, we have the importance of shape and forms. As I said, when you start to draw, you need to relax your hand. So do not force the number one, you have the object proportion, you just two shapes and then you determine shapes and shaded areas. Once you completed the shapes, you can go to the number three that completed the form. So you have the line, you just do lines and then you add some kind of shape as a tunnel. This is the basic keep in mind that you need to understand the lightening and shape to start to draw. Okay, thank you and see you in the next class. 5. The Pencils: Hi there. Let's talk about pencils. What do you need to know regarding the pencils, okay? Basically you need to know what is the pencil H, F, and B, okay? The H pencil graphite in a clear line. So I will explain later what this means and what do you need for drawing with these kind of pencil, the F, To be honest, I never use f k, but it's less rigid and more pigmented than the H pencil B, it has softer and pigmented graphite. I use a lot in my drawing what this really means. I will show to you now, okay, this is the set that I bought. You don't need to buy this. This is a lot. This is more for a specific drawing from ten up to h. So the letter H comes from hardening is okay, so is use it, you can use it for technical drawing and the HB you can use every day. It is a basic pencil you can use for writing as well. The pencil becames from bowed or black, Debbie and B is indicated for scratches. And the three be up to ten users in artistic drawing, shadow and this kinda stuff. I use this a lot. What do you really need to buy for now for your basic drawing and start to draw, I really do recommend this brand here. The name of the company is Tesla is a German company and they do a very good quality pencils. Okay, I really do recommend this. You can buy the set less than $10, I think from six be up to four H e to be enough for you to drawing. And also the SAT is easy to find on the market. Let's see here as my drawing. It was a very difficult to draw or so for the shadow, I use it from seven up to ten in the background. And also the part, the ears, the eye, the nose. I use it H, H, B to B and three B. And the other part is almost the same. All my drawing here, I use it h up to three b and those other parts as shadow, I use it seven to ten beat. The next drawing here for the background is a light background compared to the other ones. So I use it HA and HB, they shadow, I use it six B17 be the beard is the face part and mix it to B, 3b4b and five. This drawing here, it was quite easy to do and what their hair, 45.6 B, the face part between a to B and three. Be there, buddy. I use it most of the time. They be in the background. I also, I use it be the next one, this guy here, we have a lot of details. So I use it H, H B to be the shadow. I use it 5.6 P, the light shadow, I use it to be in the background. Basically, I use it. I use all the time be it's one of the basic thing that you can do a lot of things because if you do not press U, you get light shadow. And if you press a little bit, depends on the pencil, you will get more shadow. Okay, So this is a very good pencil to use. This guy here. You guess what, what? I use it to do it? No pencil. I just use it a bullpen, a black one, and I read one. This drawing here was very, very difficult to do it because the white is just the background. I need to form all these things. It was really tough to do it, but it was a challenge for me. I think I got good results for the first time that I drew using about pen. That's it. See you in the next class. 6. The Papers: Hi there. Let's talk about the papers. When you start to draw. We have a lot of papers on the market like newsprint, pesto, Bristow, scratch media, drawing tone that we have a lot of these papers. And I will show you just three of the basic papers that you need to have to start to draw from this list here, we just need the Bridgestone is sketched in drawing. And I also separate in three levels. Level one is sketch level to drawing and level three, realism for the sketch, sketching paper is a light. Now for drawing paper, okay, is typically use in practice drawing. I just separate three of the sketch that I bought. I recommended anyone. You get by anyone. And it's cheap as well for drawing and drawing paper is a high-quality and usually heavier than sketching paper. So I recommend these to the brainstem board and also the console. Both are very good. Then we have the next level, the level three. We have a photo realism and a highly quality that makes it easy to spread the graphite across the paper. So I do recommend both Fabriano, this one is the favorite, my favorite one, and also the Strathmore, Bristol. So very high-quality as well. Okay, that's it. See you in the next class. 7. The Erasers: Hi there. Let's talk about erasers S paper. We have a lot of erasers type. I just put three of my best recommendation in green here. We have this mono eraser, kneaded eraser, and v eraser, this type here, the mono eraser you can buy from Tombow is a very good brand. Kneaded erasers is good as well because you can have a form, shapes and erase these specific areas is really good and all of them are cheap. The venue erases. This is the basic one. I recommended this toddler, very good brand, as I said, for the erasers. That's it. See you in the next class. 8. The Sharpeners: Hi there. Let's talk about the sharpeners for the nurse. I separate three of them that I use it a lot. I really recommend all of them. They are cheap. You have a very good results. They may know one we have this year that day one, this one is the most expensive compared to the other two here, but it's very good and easy to sharpen your pencil. This one is the base here, and these are very, very good to control your way that you sharpen your pencil, the model. See here, this is one example. This is my pencil that I did using the model craft knife. You can have a very sharp pencil. I really do recommend this, not expensive. So that CCU in the next class. 9. Recap: Hi there. Let's do a recap. White, bring volunteers to draw in black brings that you start simple, no expense of material. So when you start to draw B pair than yourself, do not compare with others. Don't put pressure in the pencil. Relax, keep a drawing, never give up. That's it. I hope you enjoyed this basic less happy drawing. See you, Bye bye.
