1. Introduction to how to draw and paint a boat: Hi friends. I welcome you on a new class. In today's class, I invite you to Joe and paint it both on the seats. For those of you who are for the first time here my name is Alan, my Sketch Illustrator into watercolor is from 2020. I'm an art teacher to the class is made from three steps. In the first class, I will share with you how to draw the sketch of the boat. And the second video will show you how to paint the waves on the scene, how to create these transitions smoothly here. And here. We will use the wet on wet technique, where we will wet the paper first. And on the wet paper. We'll work with losing effect and to create very beautiful transitions of colors to create the depth and the waves on the sea. On the third video, I will share with you how to paint the boat. The boat will be the simplest thing to do because we will work with glazing effect. With wet on dry technique. The surface of the boat will be applied accordingly till we will get the beautiful boat on the sea. What I waiting for, Let's get started. 2. Supplies boat in watercolors: The supplies that you will need for this class, you will need watercolor paper, two or 300 GSM or higher density. I will share with you the time of using a washi tape to stick to the paper on the surface. If you have a watercolor pad, it is even better. It will be just easier for you to work that the paper is not getting wavy, does not tearing up and so on. Then I will ask you to have a pencil and an eraser for the sketch. Once the sketch will be joined, we will need watercolor paints, paint brushes, and plain water. You will also need some tissues. Or you can use some kitchen towel and a hairdryer. And that's it. So let's proceed with the work itself. 3. Drawing the composition in pencil: Usually when creatively composition, we are going from meager object of smaller one. I will go up a little bit because I wanted to create the reflections. They need more space for below the reflections of it. I'll make it even. Here. I think of within Theresa, this is the space where will be our boat perspective? We tend to forget about it 4. Wet on wet technique for painting the water: I removed a little bit with my unit double erasers, the intensity of my lines. And what I will do now, I will wet all the papers all around the boat. We're waiting really well the paper because late it will be just easier for us to work on wet-on-wet technique and to create a beautiful wavy effect. Let's start with some cobalt blue color. Let's see some ultramarine how it works. Maybe with some equal to nine colors. Let's make the first wash. We can take cobalt blue if we want the first wash because we want some light colors. And to now being a while, everything is wet enough and we made our first wash. We will create the waves. I will take some more in-depth drink colors. And we'll create some waves. Very important that on the first glance that it is in front of us, we create darker colors as much as we can. I will take some indigo colors just to create it darker in front of us. And the idea is that we create depth by adding darker shades, darker colors, some shapes over here already. Now we're playing with in the thin blue color. We don't think about the reflection at this step. Now the idea is that we create the water somewhere over there. We don't really need to bother too much about the waves. The idea is to create a darker waves here in front of us. And proceeding with these shapes. To create a neutral look. I'm playing canal width in the print. And with indigo More indigo color and creating darker shadows here. Because as far as we know, minus the paper will be dragged to be lighter. So we are not afraid of creating these shapes. Now let's try with hairdryer. I dried it still there is some wet. You can see some width parts. But what I will do now, I'm taking a smaller paintbrush and I will make in the thin blue with indigo color to create a really dark shadow. And I will go on with my reflection. The reflection in the water. If you pay attention, we have some red color tool but did more like homework. It is pretty, pretty dark and tear. Their interests think we have as small reflection in the water that it is lighter. And taking cohort in the three and indigo colors to create really, really dark shadow. One. We are looking for the shadow that we see. As far as you see, the reflections are. We don't see really tried and just and because we have the waves coming gum, the reflections are not strike. And to concede, see refraction. Very, very dark. I will come up once again because I want to make it even darker. As far as you see, I'm not using the black color here. I'm using very dark blues to create this reflection. And the edge of this reflection, interesting enough, it is warmer and I'm taking some sepia. And we'll mix up with these blue colors. And to make this refresh. And here we see pretty well PSM mode read. In the shadow. I'm taking some red. And we'll look at our shear here as well. There is some red color, but here it is more white. So for this reason, I will remove maybe better and taking good tissue. And to remove the excess of color. I'm taking my hairdryer to dry the work and we'll proceed with my boat 5. Boat in watercolors, glazing technique: Now let's work with our boat. We have some yellow colors and see where it is. Somehow. I will actually have more than one cadmium lemon yellow because I sit more colder color, warm one. And as well we have some really light cosine. We will mix up lemony yellow with aluminum and silicon blue-collar to create today's kind of green that we see in the painting. For the lines we have clarifying, Let's move with darker colors. And now we will represent the shading. I will take some raw sienna because here we see some darker lines over here. I think I will take some darker colors, maybe umber color. Somber will work better over here. And this line, I will create some sheets. I took on record in the mix of blues. I will take some color because the sheets here are warmer. How is it? I removed the mistake. I just took my tissue and then paint it over. Pretty easier and I'm going to put some burnt umber into this green color. Maybe it requires Scipio. Let's go with sepia. Again. Let's make the mix. Okay, Now it's better Here we have some red colors. I can figure out the initial point, and I will take some English red color with the same mix of sepia and English shred. I will go once again here because a part of the shadow, we've had these kinds of details. And we'll add some water onto this to make it lighter in color and shear. We have this kind of details, this boat that really makes the difference. Here, I will remove the intensity because it is not so clearly seen. Instead here, here. So we see more of color. And for the yellow watts we will take, we will take for the yellow, some raw sienna color. We'll go with details. The tap here. Machines. Today's side of the boat as well. One big D with a sheep off. Sienna. Now let's make our boat with the red. And I will take pretty beautiful cadmium red color all over. So first, I paint over this red color vegetation that we have a white line here. And I will leave it white. Now for the shades, I will take some English, read English red color is warmer than cadmium red And meanwhile it is wet. We will create this muffler transition. But it is true that we don't want that this is bleeding too much, just a little bit. I'm taking my tissue and quickly make the transition easier. Here we have a shade and other shape-based try to share. Now, pay attention that and taking almost more color until this water or almost nothing of water. Here below we have also some shade. And I'm taking more English red color here as well. We have really clear shade. I'll share here. I'm going to put some sepia because actually I don't see anything. We have another boat over there and it is pretty dark. I add some Scipio shear tool here. Just don't intensify the shape. And obviously we have some sheets here. Shear. And last but not least, we have here Tito. And today we'll apply. We have a break and it is bu, light blue color. Then here we have a wide shape and the rest we are using Payne's gray color. And that santa, we finished our protein. Here it is, our finished work 6. Conclusion: Dear friends is the class came to an end.
