1. Intro Ring Dish: Hey guys Christine here to show you how to make these awesome little green ditches or getting to make them as coordinates, or up, or from friends. It's super easy. I'm here to guide you through it. Super step-by-step, you'll have a great gift to give people that you may infer the IC that or if you're watching this after the holiday season and just for fun or the Tang result. So welcome, and I can't wait for you to go through the process of me.
2. Supplies you need: So this project is so simple that you only need these five items. The first item you're going to need as this goal to paint. I just got all these from Hobby Lobby. The second item is this pack of shells. The third item is some tissue paper, sum mod podge and a paintbrush. I'll make sure to link all these things in the description.
3. Step 1: Ok, it goes without saying, but the first thing you need to do is take out the shells from the packaging. The particular shells I purchased from Hobby Lobby has three shells inside. So I'm just gonna take him out and go through and pick which one I want to use for this video. And I think I'm gonna go with this one. I like that it's all white and will be perfect for this video presentation. The next thing you're gonna do is grab your mod podge and your tissue paper. And off camera, i'm going to tear off a corner of the tissue paper. You can use any pattern you want, whatever you feel like it's best for you. But for this purpose, I liked this little pattern, so we'll go with that anyway is just make sure it can fit over the shell. You don't want it too small and you don't want it too big, otherwise there's too much waste. So open your mod podge and grab your paint brush and dip the paintbrush into mod podge. You're going to lather that shell up with all of the modules page. You can also use some Elmore's glue for this part to, It's basically the same. I just had montage, so might as well use it. Anyways, lather up until the creases. Don't do too much, but it should be an even glaze of this stuff. Okay, I'm speeding up the video that way you don't have to spend hours watching me put well, it doesn't take hours, a couple minutes putting all the mod podge onto this shell. The next thing you're gonna do after you have all your glue or even onto the shell, is grab your tissue paper. Now this part, you're going to want to be a little bit more gentle because tissue paper is very thin so it can rip easily. I make sure I'm very soft as I apply the tissue paper to the shell, just look at my thumbs are very soft, but at the same time I'm applying pressure so that it sticks with the glue. I'm just gonna say blue much packages like a mouthful. Anyway. So worth your thumbs through each little crease and crevice and crack in the shell to make sure that the tissue paper is on their evenly. I'm going to speed this part up as well, but take your time and make sure your gentle and tender. So the tissue paper doesn't rep, some parts might overlap because it is a circle or semicircle in some parts, but be gentle and apply it all evenly. Once the tissue paper is fully adhered to the shell, you let it dry for about 1015 minutes or 30, just to be safe, might as well get it fully dry.
4. Step 2: It's been about 30 minutes and I'm just going to check to make sure that the mod Swatch has dried that way once I start tearing it off, it won't, you know, pull off the entire sheet of tissue paper. So this part is quite easy. What you're going to do is just pinch around the exterior of the shell. The tissue paper so thin, it rips off very easily at this point or in real time in this video. So you can see how quickly and easily that tissue paper does tear off. But again, I would push down that way. You can make sure there is a little bit of excess so you aren't tearing into the actual dish of the shell. The little details like how much tissue paper you want to show on the shell is really up to you. I'm gonna tear off these corners because I want that little part to be gold. But that's completely up to you. You can even leave the tissue paper there and do gold around the rim. You'll see in the end when we add the gold. But it's up to you again. Now once all your edges are the way you like them, you're gonna take the mod podge or the Omar's clue that you're using. And do a coat of that mod podge or e-commerce glue over the tissue paper. This is going to walk it all together. And for sake of this video and your time, I'm going to speed this process up. But in short, you're just gonna make sure that your coats or even that way, once it all dries, you don't have uneven spots because of the dried glue. Once it's all applied evenly, you're going to let your shell dry. Now, I suggest you wait and let it dry for about one to two hours. That way, the paint that we will apply next will apply on a completely dry surface. So just step away, take a little break and come back for the next step.
5. Step 3 - and done!: Today we're on the last step. So for this step you're going to need your gold paint, a paintbrush, and that shell. Now you're go paint might differ than mine. Mine is a little bit more transparent than I wish it was. If you have a more opaque gold, then you don't have to do as a lining that I have to do. Anyways, you're gonna take that gold and you're going to outline the shell with that gold paint. So you can see here I'm gently adding that gold outline to the shell, where there's the white spots and I want the shell completely covered. I add thicker paint. Again, this really just depends on local pain you purchased. But slowly work your way around the shell with that gold paint. For the sake of the video, I'm going to speed this up, but just know that I'm very slowly working around the shell. Also, excuse me, as I did not realize that the shell was slowly going off camera, but I fixed it for you all. Okay. Once you're done lining the shell without gold paint, you sit and let it wait to dry. And then you're done. Once it's dry, you're good to add those rings. You can add a ribbon to it to make an ornament, whatever you wanna do. Thank you for joining my skill share class. Make sure you share it with friends if you liked it. Thanks again.
6. Make another dish with me! Real Time: We are interested in, whoops. Know. Yeah. Ok. Ok. Side effects. And that's it. Yeah. Okay. In other words, no. Yes.
