this course and let's jump in and learn
2. Accessing Canva: Hey, everyone, welcome
to a new lecture in the website design
using Canva course, and in today's lecture, I'm going to show you how
you can access Canva. And to do that. You have to go to Google,
and then you have to search for Canva, CA N VA. Click on Enter and
the first search result you get is Canva. It's a very popular tool. It's used for a lot
of different things that encompasses graphic design, book cover design, et
cetera, et cetera. You can also use it for website, user interface, and
user experience design. So go ahead and sign up or log in if you already
have an account, and to sign up, you can
sign in through Google, Facebook, e mail, or you can
sign up with your e mail. Go ahead and do that and
in the next lecture, I'll show you what Canva is
all about. Thank you so much.
3. Canva Walkthrough: Hey, everyone. Welcome
to a new lecture in the website design
using Canva course. And today, I'm going to show you around the Canva ecosystem. So over here, as you can see, you have the landing
page for Canva, and you have different options for different sorts of designs. You can design docs, you can design whiteboards,
presentations, social media, video,
print product websites, and a lot more, including
Logo, et cetera. On the left hand side,
you have a menu which has home and home is the landing page that
you're seeing right now, then you can access
your projects by clicking on the projects, all your former projects. You can access it by
clicking on projects. Then you can click on templates, and Canva will recommend
some templates for different sorts of
graphic designs or different sorts of elements, such as for business,
for social media, for video for marketing, custom print card,
invitation education. So for business, you
have a ton of templates, including business cards, whiteboard, presentations, docs, businesses, and you have a ton of different templates
for social media posts, including Facebook posts,
Instagram posts, et cetera. And then you have templates
for other stuff too, such as video, marketing, custom prints, et cetera. So you get a lot of
different options in Canva, for designing different sorts of things and different
sorts of elements, which encompasses a variety of different areas
such as social media, video, podcast, et cetera. You can design a
lot of cover art, a lot of social media
posts using Canva. And then you have the
apps that Canva has, and Canva has some
different apps. Most of these apps
are paid apps or you need a Canva pro
subscription for them. So your text to image, which is an AI tool, your markers, DID,
presenters, et cetera. So I'll let you figure out what different sorts of applications you
can put Canva to. And over here, you
have the search bar. And in the Search bar,
we're going to type websites and Canva and
click on templates, and Canva will give me a list of options in which I'm going to
click on websites, and Canva is now going to recommend some
website templates. For instance, over here, you have the black, simple design. You have the yellow,
colorful design. You have the black and white, simple design exit we have a bunch of different templates, and you can use one of these templates as the
basis for your website. So let's choose a
simple template. And let's say we will be designing a website
for an author. So A author sells
books on Amazon, and she has a website
which has details about her and where
you can find her book, a very simple website, no more than let's say
two or three web pages. So let's click on Black Simple. And then go ahead and click
on Customize this template. And as you can see now, you have the template right
over here in the workspace. And if you want to
change your template, you can do so by going
to templates over here, the place where my
cursor is hovering, and you can scroll through
different templates, and you can select one
that is to your liking. And as you can see
in the workspace, you have the option
to add pages. I'll click on at pages and you
have a new page over here. It's a scrolling
website, keep in mind. And you can add notes,
you can log pages, and you can trash The page. For instance, I want to thrash the second page
that I generated, I'm going to click on
the Recycle Bin option. On the left hand
side, over here, you have a tool bar, and with a tool bar with certain options. For instance, you have the
design option over here in the tool bar on the
left hand side. You have the elements. Under elements, you
have different elements such as shaves,
buttons, graphics, stickers, photos, videos, whatever you need to add
basically to your design. If you want to add
some photo from the Camba library
to your design, you can select photos, and you can add some photos. You can do the same for videos. And then you have the text
option in the tool bar, and this is used
to add a text box or add some text to your design. Then you have the uploads
option over here and you can upload an image using Canva. And you have the draw
option and you have some pencils and erasers
and sketch pens over here, and you can draw stuff
right onto the workspace. I don't want to draw stuff, so I'm going to hit undo, and then you can take a look at the different projects you're
working on right over here. And again, you have
an option for apps, and you can take a look at
what different apps you have. And apps are categorized into a few categories
such as charts, photos, translate videos,
background, et cetera. For instance, if you click on photos, you can see over here, you have different photos
for food money Moon Beach, white flower, whatever you want. So you can use these options on the left hand side over here to browse through the
different options Canva has to include
in your design. So with that being said, I'm going to end
this lecture right now you have gotten a basic feel about how Canva looks like and how you can navigate Canva. And after this, in
the next lecture, I'm going to start designing the website. So
good stuff ahead. Thank you so much.
4. Designing Website User Interface using Canva: Hey, everyone, welcome
to a new lecture in the website design
using Canva post. And today, we're going to
take a look at how we can actually customize and
edit a website and create a website
that does not suck. So using Canva, you can
change a variety of things and you can customize the template
that you've chosen. It's always good to choose
a template because you're starting with something instead
of starting from scratch. So we have a template over here, and I want to create a
website for an author, and the website will have
a bio and a button to take the visitors to this website to the author's Amazon page or to the author's
book on Amazon. That is all the website will
have a bio and a link to take customers or
probable customers to the author's Amazon page. Now, the first thing
I'm going to do is I'm going to change the
name right over here. I'm going to change
the name over here because the website
that Canva will create will take the name from the name of this project,
and I'm going to name it. Let's say, Suzanne's author. I'm going to name the
website, author Suzanne. And this project will also
be named Author Suzanne. It's always good
practice to do this beforehand so that when you're
generating the website, the website is named whatever
you want it to be named. So I've changed the name, and now I'm going to
change the background. As you can see right over here, we have a black background. And I don't like the
black background. So I'm going to click
once on the background, and over here on top, you have the option to
change background color. You have the option to animate. You have the option to change the position of whichever
element you're clicking. In your web page. I'm going
to click on background color. And what I'm going to
do is, I'm going to go down to this gradient
section and I'm going to apply a bluish
gradient to the website. And this looks much better. And remember, blue is the preferred color
for most people. So if you're
designing a product, try to incorporate blue
because that attracts people. And now that we've changed
the color of the website, I want to change this picture. I want to use another picture. Now, there are two
ways to do this. First, go to elements. Then go to photos over
here and click on photos. And you'll get a bunch of
photo recommendations, and these are from
Canvas library, or you can use the
surge bar over here or the surge
bar right over here. And I want a picture
of a woman reading. Let's see what sort of
pictures Canva comes up with. And there are some
pictures which belong to the Pro library or rather
belongs to the library, which is pay word and
you need to pay for the pro subscription to access
this particular library. Instead of using one of Canvas, copyright free pictures,
let's use one of our own. Let's use a bespoke
picture because remember, we are creating a
website for an author, so the author's face or her likeness or image has
to be on the website. Right here, I have uploaded an image of a woman meditating. I'm going to click
on this and drag and drop it right where
the picture is, or I can click on this once, and this will be added
to the web page. But what I'm going to do
is I'm going to click and drop it right over here. This is the picture
and I'll be using. You can also upload an image of video click on upload
an image of video, and you can select
whichever image you want. Let's say I want to use an image a random image of
a person doing a Burki. I'll select it and Canva will
upload it to the platform. But I'll stick to the woman meditating image
because it looks good. Now what we can do is we can change the text
right over here. Click on the text once. Make your cursor hover over the text and click on it once. You can double click
it, and I'm going to change the text two about me. A becomes about me. I want to change the font. I'm going to go right
on top over here and I'm going to select
a different font. Let's select Arch go black because this has
a nice bold look. And it's taking a bit of time. So I'm going to do
something else. What I'm going to do is, I'm going to move this
box around a bit, and then I'm going
to go to the font select again and
select Archivo black. It's taking a bit too much
time, but you get the point. You can select the
font from here. What I'm going to do is I'm
going to make the text bold. And like I showed you before, you can move the text
around like this. You can make it bold.
You can increase the Font size. Let's increase
the font size to 44 by using this particular
option in the tool bob, and you can it asize
it or make it italic. You can change to uppercase, you can underline by
clicking on Underline. You can change alignment to center justified left or right, let's keep it left. You can add bullet points, kind of like this, and you
can change letter pacing. And I'm going to remove
the bullet points because it looks horrid with
the bullet points. And I've removed
the bullet points. I'm going to increase
the length of the box so that the entire about me text comes in one line, what I'm going to do
next is I'm going to go to spacing and reduce the
letter spacing a bit. Let's look at about
me part again. Let's say I want to reduce the
letter spacing a bit more, and I'm going to increase
the line spacing. That is how we have edited
the text right over here. Now, what else can we do?
We can animate the text. So we can make the text rise. We can make the text pan in. We can make the text fade, we can make it pop,
we can make it drift, or we can choose the
best option out there, which is not to animate it. So let's click on Remove Animation because
this is a website. This is the landing
page of our website, so you do not need animation. But we can do some
other things too. We can select the text box
containing the about me text, and we can go to position
and we can put the text on top in the middle at the bottom to the
left to the right. You can change the
text position. You can also change the width of the text right over here. I'm going to put it
back where it was, and then I'm going to go to the second text box
and type books, and you can change the
formatting for this too. I'm going to delete
some text boxes. Because I don't need them. I'm going to delete the
contact text box to. We have two pages
for this website. One is the about me section
and one is the book section, which will contain the
links to the book. Now, let's me add
a new text box. Let's add a subheading. Let's pull it down below books. Let's increase the
size of the text. And over here, we have a subscribed or subscribe
text right over here. This will take people to this subscribe page where people can subscribe to your mailing list if they want to. Let's align it properly. Let remove the underline
from the about me text. Let's also remove the bold and let's remove the underline. You can access the rest
of the tool by using these three black dots
that remove the underline. Now we have the landing
page of a website. But these menu options
don't look good to me, and I'll tell you why
because they don't look like buttons or they
don't stand out in a way. What I'm going to do is, I'm
going to add some shapes, and what I'm going to do is, I'm going to go to the search bar and search for
square or rectangle. As you can see a rectangle
shape has appeared, you can also use the menu option over
here and select shapes. What I'm going to do
right now is I am going to change the
dimension of the box, and right now as you can see, you have the about me
text right on this box. This looks nice. I'm going to search
for rectangle again and I'm going to
do the same two books. So these are not symmetrical, but you get the point. So you can add text boxes
as backgrounds to the text. And I'm going to add
another rectangle. For the subscribe. Option. That's it. I I'm done
with the landing page. It looks very basic, but that is how you can add different elements to
your landing web page. Now I'm going to add a page. What I'm going to do over here, I'm going to go to text
and add a heading. And I'm going to pull the
heading right to the top and this will be the
about me section. What we are going to
do is we are going to add a textbox right
on this page, increase the length
of the textbox. And add some texts. I am a fantasy author. Let's say this particular
author is a fantasy author, and I write books, and I write books. Books about a world called Zeno. It's just some random stuff that I came up with right now. You can change the font size. You can change the font, and you can change the
color of the text, select some other colors. Go to the color selector
right on top over here and make it orange. Does not look good, but
you have another page, and this is just to
demonstrate how you can create the website and you can change
the position of the text. Left right central middle. You can animate
the text just as I showed before, and
you can add effect. So I'm going to add an
effect to the text. And you can add a shadow, you can add a lift,
hollow, splice outline. You may need to try out different effects to see
what fits your needs. I'm going to use neon because
I love the neon text, especially when I have
something yellow on a web page. Now as you see, the neon effect has
been added to the text. I'm going to increase the
intensity of the neon effect a bit to make it glow
and really stand out. We have it about me page. Let's add another page. Let's add a text box, and let's add a heading. The heading will go
right to the top, or let's click on the heading,
let's click on position. And let's take it to the top. Perfect. I'm going
to call this books. In the paragraph, let's increase the length
of the textbox first. Then you can buy my books by clicking on
the following button. This is too, I'm going
to change the size and make it s. Perfect. Then I'm going to make it bold. Just click on the text
or double click on the text box and select
the entire text, and I'm going to make it bold. I'm going to change the
color, go to color selector, choose a yellow color. Then I'm going to go
to effects and make it neon, to suit the theme. You have to be very
mindful of adding things because whatever you add to
your web page or website, suit the entire theme
of the web page. Now I'm going to add a button. I'm going to go to elements.
I'm going to go to shapes. And I'm going to
search for rectangle. So we have a rectangle
shape right over here. I'm going to increase
the length of this, and I'll change the color
to and make it red. I can do so by selecting on a color selector
right over here. Make it red. Now I want to
change the shape a bit. Instead of a square or rather a rectangle with sharp edges, I'll select one
with rounded edges. I'm going to resize
it, and I'm going to. Let's add a textbox first. Add a text box, or
you can simply write on this particular
shape if you want to, by just clicking on at once, but let's add a textbox. And let's write,
click on the textbox. Let's select the text. Let's make the color yellow. Let's go to effects and make
it neon so that it glows, and then let's click on
Double click on the text. Again, click on bold
to make it bold, and let's increase the
font size of the text. And we'll put the click text right or on the red background. Now you have the second page, which will contain a link to the author's books
or book on Amazon. Let's click on add page again, add a text box
again at a heading. Go to position,
take it to the top. Double click on this. And let's say subscribe on this one. And on this page, we are going to add a
form which people can use to subscribe to the author. I'll show you how to do
that in a future video. But before I end, I'll show you one more thing. Now, let's say you
want the t to be displayed below the yellow box that you have over here.
How do you do that? Click on the text box. Right click or Control click,
if you're using a Mac. Go to Layer and click
on Send to the back, and this will send the
text right to the back. Now, this text has been
sent right to the back, as you can see, is no
longer being displayed. Now let's say I want
it back to the front. Control click or right click. The box right over
here or the text, whichever you feel
it's easier to access, and click on position. What you can do is you can go
to layers right over here, or you can go to arrange and you can click on to the front. Now if I take this text
box back to where it was, as you can see, it has
been moved to the front. Like this, you can move
it back or backwards. You can move it backward, or you can move it to
the front to or forward. So if you have multiple
lays and by layers, I mean, different layers
one over the other. So you have an image, you
have a text box on that, or rather you have an image. On the image, you have a
square or rounded shape, and on top of that shape of
the rectangle or the square, you have a textbox,
you can play around with which appears on top
and which goes to the back. So like I said, you can click on the textbox or the shape in the background. You can put it to the front. You can put it to the
back, you can put it forward, you can
put it backward. If you click on
put to the front, it'll put it right to the front. If you click on put to the back, it'll put it right to the back. That is if you have
three or more shapes, if you click on back, it'll put whatever element
you're clicking to the back of all
these three layers or all these three elements. And you can also choose
forward or backward. If you choose forward,
it'll put it forward. And if you choose backwards,
it will put it backward, but not right to the back
or right to the front, but behind the element that this particular element is standing over or
sitting over, right? For instance, like I
showed you right now. So that is what you can do. And let's say, let's
try some animation. Let's make it rise. And as you can see,
the boxes rising, like I said, for websites, no animation is best animation, especially if you're building
on author website of sorts, and let's align this properly, to make it look
good and symmetric. And you have some numbers over
here, which I don't want. I'm going to delete
these numbers. You can align this
nicely and you can keep everything consistent as far as the text and
everything is concerned. And now in the next let
I'll show you how to link different pages or add
buttons with links. So for this particular website, as you have seen or noticed, we have designed a very
rudimentary website or website user interface that
people are going to see when they search for you or when
they go to your website. And like I said,
you can add images, you can upload images, or you can add images that
are already there on Canva. And let's say you want
a different image. And what we can do is we can
use an image click on it, and this image is part
of the Canva library. I'm using a free image,
and then you can make it the background by by clicking and dragging
the image and making it huber over the entire. Web page. Right now, as you can see, this particular image that I've added has become the
background for the web page. I did so by clicking on
the image and dragging it and making it hover over
the whole web page. I can also click on it once and it'll add the image
to the web page, and I'll go to the about me section because this
does not have an image. What I'm going to
do is I'm going to delete this image
for the time being, and I'm going to click on
the image again, drag it, make it hover over
the whole web page, and right now as you can see, I have some consistency. I'm using the same image
for all the web pages. And there you have designed
the UI for a website. It's very basic, what
I have designed. You can use your
creativity a bit more. You can add different
shapes, you can add different graphics. You can add animation
if you want to. But that is essentially
how you design the user interface using Canva. Thank you so much. I'll see
you in the next lecture.
5. Adding Navigation to Website: Hey, everyone, welcome
to a new lecture, and today we're going to take
a look at how we can add navigation and links
to your website. So by links, I mean, if someone clicks on
a particular button, let's say about me
right over here, then they should be taken to a different web page or
something else on the Internet. For instance, if someone
clicks on books on this particular click
icon over here, then they should be taken to the bookstore or they should be taken to Amazon
where the book is being sold. To do that, first, what we
have to do is we have to click on the text box
that contains the text. Click on it once, then
control clicker right depending on whether you're
using Mac or Windows, and you have this option right
over here to add a link. Click on link. And you have
a search bar over here, and now I want to link
this to the about M page. First, let me bring this
particular text box, right back to where it was because this has been
moved downwards. Perfect. Click on it again. Control click, click
on, add a link. You can also do so by going
to the mole button over here, and you can add a link
using the More button to, but the easier way is to
control click a right click, go to the menu and
click on link. And what you can do is you can add a link
to the second page. As you can see, the second
page contains the author bio, and I want people to be taken to that page when they click
on the link about me. The second page has a number. As you can see if
you type in one, you have the first page. If you type in two, you
have the second page. If you type in three,
you have the third page. If you type in two, you
have all the four pages, and all of them are untitled
at this particular moment. So I'm going to add a
link to the second page. De. Perfect. And now this has
been converted to a link. And what else can we do? Well, we can add a link
to the Books page. Click on Link and
click on three, and the third page
is the book page, and we have added a link. And you can click and you're going to add a link
to the subscribe page two. Go to Link, click on
it, click on four, and a link has been
added. Perfect. Now, when people go
to the third page, which has information
about the books, they should be able to click
on the link that says click, and they should be able to navigate to the
Amazon product page. Now, as you can see, the
buttons formatting has been changed a bit when I added this particular
background image. I'm going to click on
the background image. Control click, go to layer, and I'm going to send
it right to the back. As you can see the
button has reappeared. The red button with
the click text on it. And what we are
going to do right now is we are going
to go to Amazon. And I'm on Amazon, UK right now, and I'm going to go to Harry Porter and the
philosopher stone. Famous book, a lot of
you may have read it. Click on Harry Potter and
the Philosophers stone. Now, go to this icon over here, which will give you the link
to this particular page. Click on Copy link in
the menu that appears. Go back to your web page. Now what we're going to do
is we're going to click on the textbox that
contains the word click. We're going to right
click or Control click. We're going to click on Link, and we're going to
paste the link. And we're going to hit Enter, and the link has been added. And now what I'm going to do is I'm going to preview
the website and see if the website is
allowing me to navigate. Click on Preview right
on top over here. Now, you can preview
the website on a mobile page as a textop
page or as a mobile page. If you click on Mobile page, it'll show you the
website as a mobile page. If you click on textop page, it'll show you the
website as a textop page. You can click on Wit Navigation if you want to be
able to test whether your navigation is working properly or you can click
on without Na navigation, in which case,
navigation will not be activated in this preview. Now, we have clicked
on with navigation, and now I want to see the
entire website, good. Now I'm going to
click on About Me. And as you can see it's taking
me to the About Me page, I'm going to click on Books. As you can see as taking
me to the Books page, I'm going to click on subscribe, as you can see is taking
me to the subscribe page. And now I'm going to click on
the click button over here, which should take me to Amazon. And let's see if it does, yes, it has taken me to Amazon. So basically, if you have a
book on Amazon or if you have some product store or some
Facebook product page, you can add navigation
to your website so that on clicking the button, That has the website or that has the product page embedded
on clicking that button, people will be taken to
your product store or your online store or your Facebook page or
your Instagram page, wherever you're selling or displaying your
products, essentially. So that is how you add navigation to different
buttons or different text. And when you add navigation, it will allow you to go to different pages that are
external to the website. So that is all about adding navigation. Thank you so much.
6. Adding Logos to Websites: Hey, everyone, welcome
to a new lecture. In today's lecture, we're
going to see a few more things about the website,
user interface design. Now, I had added a background image to all the web pages in
the previous lecture. But what this background
image is done, it's hiding the image of
this woman meditating, which basically
represents the author because the author probably
loves to meditate. And what we need
to do is we need to bring this particular image of the woman meditating
to the fore. What you can do is you
can click on the image. Control click or right click, depending on your
operating system, go to Layer and bring
it to the front. Like so, and now you have
the image to the front. I'm going to resize this image. Somewhat like this. And you can use this image as a logo too. Let's say the particular
author writes about meditation in a fantasy world or
something of that sort. You can convert this into
a logo to if you want to. But let's keep it
as a display image, and let's add a logo. Let's go to elements. Let's search for logo
in the Sarge bar. You have some free logos over
here. Let's click on one. Single click and the logo
appears in the workspace, and you can resize it, and then you can put it
on the top left corner or somewhere else where
your logo should be out where your logo is standing
out as a display feature. For instance, if
you have a brand which sells soft drinks, you might want your
logo to occupy a more central space in the web page so
that it stands out. So whatever you're doing, you have to make sure that
your logo stands out. Now, we are not using a
original logo for this one. But what we can do is we can
delete the logo we have, and we can convert this picture into a logo and put
it right on top, on the left hand, top
left hand corner, or the top right hand
corner, like this. Let us keep it like this. Now I'm going to
end this lecture. Now you've learned how to design a website user interface. Next, we're going to talk
about navigation linking, and user experience.
Thank you so much.
7. Adding Forms to Website: Everyone, welcome to
a new lecture today. We are going to see how we
can add forms to our website. For instance, let's say you
want people to subscribe to your service to your
product or to your brand, and you need a form which
can be used to collect people's e mail addresses or their contact details or
their names, et cetera. And you can do so
using Google Forms. I'll search for Google
Forms on Google. The first search result
is Google Forms. I'm going to go and
click on Go to Forms and this will give me the option to either create a blank form, or contact form, or RSVP
party in te, et cetera. I'm going to click on
contact information. And this should give me a
brand new form like so, and you can add questions. You can import questions, you can add title and description
add image add videos, or you can add a
section to this form. What I'm going to
do is, I'm going to change the form
description and call it subscription form. That
is what I'm going to do. That is the only change
I'll make and people can input their names, the e mails, their addresses. So what I'm going to do
is I'm going to make addresses not required is not a required field for this form because we don't want to
collect people's addresses, and most people won't give you their addresses
because it's kind of risky if you do it online. And we have the option
for phone number and comments. I'll
put phone number. I'll put the section for
phone number over the section for addresses. So yeah. So you have phone number
as a non required section, you have address as a non
required section, et cetera, and the name and the e
mail address is required. So now what I'm going to do
is I'm going to click on Send and it's taken
me to this window, and you can send this form
to people via e mail. You can give Google a
set of e mail addresses, and the form will be included
in that particular e mail. And you can also change the options for
collecting e mail addresses. So should the form
collect e mail addresses? In this case, we want to collect e mail addresses because We
want subscribers who can be notified about a new book
release or something of that sort when the author
finishes writing a new book. So I'm going to click
on Responder input. So the form will be able to
collect e mail addresses. You can click on Dot
collect or verified. I'm going to click
on Responder input. And then I'm going to go to
this link option over here, the option with the Link button, and you have the URL over
here. You can copy the UL. I'm going to click
on shorten URL, and now I'm going
to click on Copy. And I'm going to go
back to the website and I'm going to go down
to the subscribe page, and I'm going to paste this. And the form is being pasted. As you can see, the form has
been pasted to the web page. And you'll have to
sign in to continue. Someone who's
visiting this website may need to sign in to
Google to access this form. But other than that, the form
is here and you can collect e mail addresses and stuff
like that using this form. That's all for this lecture, and in the next lecture,
I'll show you how to publish the website.
Thank you so much.
8. Publishing Website: Hey, everyone, welcome
to a new lection today. We are going to see how we
can publish our website. Now, the first thing I'm going
to do is I'm going to hit the preview button and preview
the website one more time. And as you can see the website has all the
navigational features, and the website is ready with all the forms and navigations
and links and all of that. And you can then check the
mobile website. It's ready. You can hit on Published
website from here or you can click on Close and go to published website
and click on it. And now what we can do is we can Either get a free domain
or use an existing domain. And by existing domain, I'm referring to a
domain that you may have bought from Go
Daddy or Hostinger, or any of these
websites or services that provide domain
names for a price. Let's click on free domain
for the time being. Let's click on Continue. And as you can see over here, the domain name is
automatically being displayed. So I'd named this
particular project Author Suzanne and the URL or the domain name and the URL that is being
generated by Canva, comprises of author Susanne
followed by my Kanva site. So that is what Kanva has
done. I can change this. I can click on the
pencil button and I can basically change the URL and make it
Author Suzanne Jones. And I can change the name
of the Canva Project too, and I can add a
website description. And let's call it
a author website. This is a website for
author Suzanne Jones. Perfect. This is
not very useful. That is the website
description portion of this. But just to show you that you can add a
website description, I added a website description, and you can password
protect it and you can hide your website
from search engines. Perfect. And as you can see over here, the URDL has changed
and all of that, and now hit on the
published button and your website is good to go. It is ready to go. And that's all for this
particular lecture. I'll see you in the last lecture in which I'll discuss the
project. Thank you so much.
9. Final Project: Hey, everyone, welcome to the final lecture
in this course. And in this lecture, I'm going to talk about the final project. The instructions for the final project are sort of like this. You have to create
a personal website with a minimum of four pages, like I showed in
this entire course, because I designed a personal website for
a particular author. So you have to create a personal
website with four pages. The first page or landing
page or home page, whatever you call it
should have a logo. Now, you don't need to
design your own logo. You can use one of
the logos that is available in Kanvas Library, and you have to use a
colorful image background, which you can get from
the Kanvas library too. And the first page
should have a menu which can be used to access different parts of the website. So there should be some navigation features
on the first page. The second page will have
a fictional biography. You do not need to write
your own biography, write a fictional biography, such as, you know, you are the biggest movie star in the world or
anything of that, or just something random. The third page will have a link to some
product on Amazon. So the third page
will have a button, and it'll have a link. And when people
click on that link, they'll be taken to some
product page on Amazon, any product page, it
can be a toothbrush, or it can be a toilet cleaner, it can be a book, I
leave it up to you. And the last page should
be a subscription form. And once you're done
designing this website, using images and videos that
are available on Canva, and please note this. You do not need to use your own images or
your own videos. You have to use images and videos that are available
in Canvas library. So once you're done then take a screenshot
of your website, and upload it to the platform. And you can take multiple
screenshots for each page and you can upload it to the
platform. Thank you so much.
