1. Introduction to the Course: Hello, and welcome to this journey on designing a social media post with AI using Microsoft Designer. In this course, you'll master Microsoft Designer by first navigating its interface and learning to generate stunning visuals using AI. You'll refine and edit AI generated images, add and customize design elements, and write captivating captions and headlines with AI assistant. You'll also design platform specific posts using magic resize. Finally, you'll export your creations in the correct formats, ready for professional use across platforms. So let's get started. 2. Exploring the Interface: Hello, and welcome to the course on designing a social media post with AI using Microsoft Designer. So in this course, we're going to use this tool called Microsoft Designer, which lets you create stunning designs with the help of AI. So over here, I am already signed in with my account, as you can see right here. So you need to go ahead and have a Microsoft account in order to start using Microsoft Designer. So now, once you go ahead and sign in and access designer.miicrosoft.com, this is the piece that you see here. So now let's say I want to design something. I want to design a social media post. In that case, I can go ahead and quickly get started with Edit with AI, or I can go ahead and then choose what I want to design from here. But I really want to go ahead and design everything from scratch. Of course, I want to go ahead and use AI, but I want to design everything from scratch. So I'm simply going to choose design from scratch. Then over here, you can see that I can choose whatever I want. For example, you can go for social media post or Facebook cover, and you can see the dimensions right here just like this. But let's say I want to create something like, let's say, for example, a perfectly square type of design. So you can see that there's Facebook post right here and so forth. There's different dimensions that you can choose from. But I can also go to custom site right here, and I can go ahead and select 1080 by 1080, let's say, for example, on width and height, and then you can go ahead and select out a perfectly square u square design here, and then click on Create New Project. So once you go ahead and do that, you can see that this is what you have. You actually have this blank slate rate, where you can go ahead and add in elements as you like. So now what you can actually do is, let's say, for example, go around onto the left hand side and add in different elements such as text, simply click and you can bring it in and resize it out, place this out, double click to edit it out, right here, just like this, and so forth, right here. Apart from that, you can also go ahead and add in, let's say, for example, your medias right here, just like this. You can go ahead and add in visuals. You can go ahead and add in markups and even work around with layers. And we're going to utilize all of these as we go ahead and create our design. So once you go ahead and let's say, for example, design everything, you can actually go ahead and then click on Download and choose the format that you like right here and then simply go ahead and download it to export the file. And it's that easy, as you can see right here. If I were to go ahead and then open the file right here, this has been downloaded as JPZFle. So now we're actually going to go ahead on to further sessions and then start creating our designs as we like. So now you can see that there's fill shapes as well that you can add in. So we're going to utilize all of these to actually go ahead and then create out different elements as we like. 3. Using AI to Generate Images: So now let's get on with generating contents with AI, and let's start with generating images for our social media post. So let's say what I actually want to do is I want to go ahead and promote a wellness brand. That is, I want to promote herbal tea and, let's say, essential oils. So let me just go ahead and then delete out the content here and generate out images for it accordingly. So once I'm here in the pace, that is for the design, I can go ahead and then go uh let's say, for example, add in Images rat here. So I can go ahead and add in Visuals here. So once I go ahead and do that, or if I were to click on Visuals, this is what I have. So now what I actually want to do is I want to go ahead and generate out images. So to do that, you need to go around onto Images R here and type in the prompt. Mind that with the free account, you got 15 credits right here. That means you can generate contents 15 times. Now after that, you need to go ahead and then make purchases or you need to wait for one month to generate more designs. So anyways, let's just go ahead and utilize these credits to actually create a wellness brand on social media. So I'm just going to go around over here, and then, let's say, for example, generate out images here. And now over here, I'm going to type in a prompt. So the size for the image, I can go ahead and actually define a here. So I have a square design, so let's just go ahead and go for square size itself right here. And in the description, I'm going to say a herbal a herbal add background MIS that includes herbal tea and essen seal oils in a well lit, bright background creating soothing aesthetic here, just like this. So I'm going to go around and see the overall enviment is greenish in color. So it can be really specific right here, just like this. As you can see, let me so I and correct it. And then I can simply hit generate. So once you go ahead and do that, what happens is that it'll take that particular prora here, so it can be very specific, and then you can simply go ahead and generate your Image for your ad. So you can see that it generated out some cool images. So you can click R here in order to actually bring it in. So you can see that there's herbal image right here, just like this. Let's just go around over here and you can see that as I click on it, this is the background that it had. So you can see that this is what you have. You can go ahead right here. Onto images right here, it actually had certain things. So now, as I select out the image, you can see that this is the image that I have. So I can simply go ahead and expand this, and you can see that there's the essential oil and the herbal tea background here. And this is simply how you can go ahead and then resize it. You can go ahead and then, let's say, for example, rotate it right here just like this and place it wherever you like, and then this is what you have. And this is how you can actually go ahead and generate out images for your designs using Microsoft Designer. And as we move along, we're going to go ahead and see how we can design different graphical elements and then text as well. 4. Creating AI Graphics: So over here, we have generated our image, but let's say what I want to do is I want to add some graphics to it, and then maybe some icons as well as I want. So to do that, let me just go ahead and generate out some visuals. So to do that, let me just go to VigilsR here. And let's say I want to actually add in a placeholder where I can add in text. So let's go ahead and add in a simple shape for that. So I'm just going to go around and select this shap ra here, just like this. And let me just go ahead and drag this out right here, just like this up or down right here. Wherever you want to place it, you can simply go ahead and place this particular Shapra let me just go ahead change around the color for this here as I want. Or I can utilize this color picker to actually go ahead and choose a color. That is there in the image itself so that it matches the vibes right here of the image. So you can see that this is what you have right here. So let me just go around and then keep this around over here a bit to the top and then keep the shape rot here on the bottom here, just like this. So this is what you have, and you can also go ahead and change around the transparency of the shape rot here so that you can see the background as well. So let's say this is a placeholder that I have right here in order to add in some of the text. So this is what I have, so let's just go ahead and resize it as well and place this out right here, just like this. So now once this is done, what I can also do is, let's say, for example, I want to generate out some icons that matches out the herbal T here and essential oil. So to create an icon, I'm going to go to vigils and then I'm going to generate icon here. So I'm just going to go around and say a vector like icon representing representing herbal T and herbal So let's say, for example, I'm just going to go around and say herbal T and sen so oil, right here, just like this. So I can simply go ahead and do that and click on Generate. And then what happens is that it'll go ahead and generate out the contents here according to the prom that I gave right here. So you need to go ahead and wait for a while, here, just like this, and then let's just go ahead and wait. So I got the shape here. Now I need a few icons, so let's just go ahead and wait. And then you got the icons, as you can see here. So you got this herbal tea right here with flour, but I prefer this one. You can also go ahead and generate more if you want to, as well. But let me just go ahead and click on this. And you can see that this is a vector like icon with essential oil and so forth. So let's go ahead and keep it right here. Just like this. And then what you can do is, let's say, for example, add in a shape for this. So let's just go ahead and then click on a shape rot here. And let's say I'm going to go ahead and add in a shape rot here to actually go ahead and cover this. Let's just go around, change it out as black color, and then go round over here onto layers in order to go ahead. And you can see that the herbal D rot here is in the bottom layer now. So usually the ordit that you see here is exactly what you see right here as well. So the layer four this is on top, so you can see that this is on top and this herbalt is unpacked. You can simply drag it on the top, and this comes on the top right here like this. So you can see that you can go around. Let's just change around the transference pot this one as well, and you can see that this is what you have right. The Herbalt icon right here. You got the herbalt, you got the shapes right here. And now you can also go around and let's say, for example, generate out some more graphics. Let's say, for example, I'm going to go around over here and generate out, let's say, for example, leaves here, just like this. Let's say, for example, green tea leaves in vector Warmtro here, just like this. And once I go ahead and do that, it'll go ahead and generate that out. So I actually clicked outside, but let's just go ahead and do that again and then go around onto generate rat here and say herbal T leaves in vector format here, just like this. So if I were to go ahead and generate, then you can see that this is what you have. It is generating up the sticker. Think ahead and wait for a while. And there you go. So here are some leaves, as you can see. So you can generate more if you want, but let me just go ahead and click and it gets added in. Click on this and that gets added in. Click on this one. That gets added in as well, and this one as well. So now I'm going to add these leaves on the four corners. So let me just go around and utilize this particular icon right here in order to rotate out the leaves, and you can see that it adds in a bit of a touch here just like this over here on the corners. For this one, let me just go ahead and add it over here on the bottom left hand corner right here. For this one, let's just go ahead and rotate it and then resize this. I keep it right around over here. And for this one as well, let's just go ahead and rotate it. Keep it right around over here, just like this, as you can see over here. So if I were to go around over here, you can see that I got these particular leaves right here, just like this. And this is what you have. If I were to go around and resize this, you can go ahead and resize out the icon as well, and then this as well. So for the color, let's just go ahead and choose white, and let's just go ahead and adjust out the transparency level for that as well. And this is what you have, as you can. So this is how you can actually go ahead and generate out some designs as you like, and even go ahead and then generate out saps. And later, we can go ahead and add in more contents as needed. And this is how you can go ahead and generate out different contents as you like that you can add in your design and so forth. So far, besides these shapes which are already a preset as well, we have generated all of the other contents so far. And we're going to see how we can take it further and complete our design for the social media post as we move along. 5. Writing Captions and Headlines with AI: So far, we have our designs and elements, as you can see here just like this, but I still need text that goes along with my design, but I don't know what to keep. But I know that it's regarding herbal tea and essential oils. So I'm just going to go around over here to text. And here you can see that there's different sort of texts that I can actually go ahead and add in. Let's just go ahead and add in a white text, but before that, I need to actually know what text to keep. So I'm just going to go around over here on to generate text suggestions, and I'm going to see marketing title and description for herbal T and herbal And let's say, for example, essential oils, just like this. So if I were to go ahead and click on Generate now right here, as I click on it, then what happens is that it'll go ahead and then give it to me. So you can see that I got natural wellness right here. So if I were to click on it, I got natural wellness right here. So this actually works out for my top part. So let's go ahead and move up the graphics a bit over here on the side, and then for natural wellness, let me just keep it right here and add in this particular text so that is what I have. So if I were to go around onto text, you can see that I got different options right here. So there's herbal t and essential oil. I can click and it gets inserted here. And now I'm going to go for experience the benefits of the remedies here like this. And then around over here, there's some description over here as well, but let me just go ahead and drag this out right here, just like this. So herbal tea and essential oil, and that is what I have. So let me just keep it on the center here, just like this, drag it up right here, and then this is what I have. Herbal tea and essential oils experience the benefits of nature's remedies. So now I can go ahead and add in a color here, just like this. For the top, let me just go ahead copy and paste this. And then I'm going to go around over here onto layers and then bring this Bra here, just like this for natural wellness. Let me just go ahead and keep it way back so that I actually see this. So let me just go ahead and drag this up, and you can see that natural wellness is here. So these are the texts as you can see right here, let me just go ahead and drag this down right here, just like this. And this is what you have. So now you got the text generated as well, and you didn't have to think much. Let's go onto the visuals for this. So if I were to go around over here, just like this, I can go around onto, let's say, for example, the graphics here, just like this and change out the color to another color as I want. And then I'm going to go ahead and let's say for example, o the color as I want right here, just like this. Let's go ahead and change around the color and then change around the opacity of this as well. So this is what you have. For this one, let's just go ahead and change around to another color. Let's say, for example, something like dark green right here. So it looks much more better. So let's just go ahead right here on this particular shape and then change around the brightness. So as we design, we know what colors we can use. So for this one, let's just go ahead and take a color picker, here, just like this as well, and utilize the T color for this one, here, just like this. But let me just go ahead and select out a darker color here, just like this. And this is what I have. So let's just go ahead and change around your opacity level for this color as well. And this is what you have as you can see. So you got neutral wellness herbal ty and essential oil, let me just rearrange the image right here, just like this, and you can resize it out as well and then rotate the image out. So this is what you have, as well. So let's just go ahead, drag this out right here, and this is what you have. You got the essential oil. You got the herbal te and so forth, as you can see, just like this. And this is how you can go ahead and generate out the captions that matters out. So you can also go around over here and choose the type of Now, let's say, for example, design here. So that's natural wellness, looks much more better. And then let me just go ahead and choose colors for this, as you can see here right there as well. So you can go ahead and see that this is what you have. So if I were to go around onto text, you can see that this is what you have. You can also go ahead and choose another textile as you want, and then copy and paste the text on top of it, as well. So let's just go ahead right here. Paste around the text here just like this or let me just go ahead and then only paste this out right here, allow the pasting and you can see that I can make further changes as well if I want to. But that is what I want itself, so I'm just going to keep it as it is. And you can also go for this type of a look or this type of a look or this type of a look, as you can see, just by clicking on them. So this is what you have as you can see, and then you got our poster ready, and now we're going to go ahead and export this project out and also learn how we can resize this for different platforms as well for design in the next video. 6. Resizing Design for Platform Specific Posts: So over here, you can see that I have one design which is perfectly square. But let's say what I want to do is I want to create another design, but what I want to do is in a different Aspec ratio. In that case, let me just go around over here onto, let's say, for example, this design right here and then edit out the canvas. So here you can see that I can actually go ahead and duplicate out of paste right here. And once you do that, you can see that I got two of the same designs. So now, for this design, I want to change its size, its layout. So to do that, I'm going to click on Edit Canvas and click on resize. So you can enter your own dimensions over here as well, where you can go ahead and choose a particular size. Let's say, for example, I'm going to go around and say Outlook email header right here or ba engage header or flyer. Let's just go around onto flyer and click on Apply SIS. Once you do that, it's resizing the template as you can see here. And once that is done, it goes ahead. And then reorganizes all of the elements onto the new design. So you can see that it is taking some time, so you just need to wait. And now you can see that it has re arranged all of the elements. So you can click on the new design right here, just like this and click on replace. And this is what you have as you can see. So now you can actually see that the design has been replaced out just like this. So if I were to go around over here onto Edit Canvas, then you can see that I got the pages here, just like this as well. So if I were to go around over here onto um, edit right here, just like this. You can see that I got all of the editing feature, but everything has been rearranged right here. So now, all you can do all you need to do is go ahead and click and drag this out and rearrange some elements, and then you simply have your new design in new format. So you can see that not everything is perfect. Like for example, you got this one, as you can see right for the herbal t. So let's just go ahead and then re arrange this out here this, and this is what you have right here. And this is how you can go ahead and simply resize out your design as you want, as well inside of Microsoft designer. You can simply go ahead and resize it out similarly for multiple designs as your knee. So in the next lesson now, we're going to see how we can go ahead and download these designs in different formats so that we can share it out with others as needed. 7. Exporting Content in Required Format: So as we have our design ready right here, it's time to export out the design so that we can share it in social media of our choice. So in order to go ahead and download this, all you need to do now is click on the Download button right here as your design is open. And here you can see that you can download this out in different formats, like in PNZ format, JPZ format, PDF format, right here. If I were to go ahead onto PNG, then I can simply select all pages. So I got two pages right here, but the other page is blank right here. So let's just go ahead and delete out this piece, because just this piece is enough. So I'm just going to go around and download and download it off as P&Z, and then this is what you have, as you can see. So now, as I go ahead and this up, see that this is the P&Z file right here that has been downloaded here that I can share out in social media. I can also go ahead here and click on Download and then go around onto JPZ and then click on Download here. And once I do that, you can see that this is what you have. Now this is downloaded in JPZ format. So if you have more graphics like, let's say, for example, text and flat graphics like shapes, then it's a good idea to download in P&Z format. Otherwise, if you have more images like this, JPZ is the way to go. Apart from that, you can also go ahead and download this out as a PDA format, right here, just like this. So now, as you do that, what happens is that you can see that it opens up as a PDA format here, just like this, that you can go ahead and share out as well. So apart from that, you can also see that you have an option to copy this as an image. So you can copy this onto the clipboard and paste it wherever you want. Or if you want to download this onto your phone, so that you can easily share it. Then you can click on centrephone, and then you can utilize the QR that actually shows up here, and then you can scan it. And then what happens is that you will have access to that particular image right here that is this particular image on your phone as well. So this is how you can go ahead and export out your designs as you need. And by saying this, we are now at the end of the course, and we have designed the graphics for social me 8. Final Project Description: You have now learned how to actually go ahead and create out a social media post using Microsoft designer, and now it's your turn. So what you have to do is you have to design a three post social media campaign. So what you have to do is create a mini social media campaign, which has to be designed using three cohesive right here. So for example, I have one post right here, so you have to create three posts such as this in different sizes. Let's say, for example, let's say, for example, you want to go ahead and create out a flyer, fiber, engage header, or an Outlook email header, right? So this like this, you have to create three social media posts in different layouts, right there. Then what you need to do is you need to create it for a fictional or a real brand of your choice. For example, it may be a coffee shop or a fitness studio, a fashion brand, a tech Gazette and what you have to do is make sure that your posts that you design are visually similar like a series and are connected together. So make sure each post includes a promotional background image, like, for example, what I have right here, a background image that should be AI generated. And an icon or a logo, just like this. And then it should have at least one decorative sap. Let's say, for example, I have used circle here. So similarly, you need to at least use one decorative sap which may be a circle, wave or line, whatever it may be. And then you need three text elements. So one should be the main text here, and then the other should be a sub title text and an infotextR. For example, it can be something like new collection out now or something like Spring 2025 edition or infotex can be now shop online at this.com and so forth. So Again, remember that you have to keep your visual styles very consistent across three posts and use complementary colors to stay on the brand and make sure that the text and everything is readable and do think about the spacing as well when you're designing. So at the end, what you need to do is you need to go ahead and give the final deliverables as both JPZ and P&Z format, which is almost around 1080 pixels, which is suggested, but you don't have to be very fixed about it. You can use various post sizes, but at least something that is readable and submit at least six files in total. That is for three posts in both JPZ and PN Z format of Export. So now, this is what you have to do, and I'd like to say all the best and thank you very much for taking this course. And after you design the post, do share it out with me. I can't wait to see what you come up with. So all the best for your designing journey. And once again, thank you very much for taking the course on designing social media posts in Microsoft Designer with me.
