1. Intro: Hello and welcome. My name is Suzana.
I'm a 3D artist. In this class, we're
going to learn how to make colorful Easter eggs. For this class, you don't need previous knowledge in Blender nor any previous knowledge
in any 3D software. I will try to
explain every step. Through this class, you
will actually learn how to create variety of materials, how to change colors, how to use nodes for those materials, how to combine different
textures and different shaders. That will help you further for whatever project
you're working on, and it will help you
become more confident and create more different, more unique, and more, in this case, colorful designs. Let's begin.
2. Modeling: Let's begin making
Easter egg in binder, open Blender,
left-click general. And here we are. A cube which we don't need, so we're going to
delete this one. Just left-click on this acts throughout the scene so
you can see it better. Simply left-click and drag
mouse left and right. You see what happens
or up, down. Then right-click on this cube, and on this menu,
left-click on delete. You can also just press
X on your keyboard. Now, we're going to
add something new. To click here on Add, select mesh this way. Just point at this
to see other menu. It works like a drop-down
and points on this side. And over here, you'll
see UV sphere. Left-click here. This doesn't look
like gag right now, but it will soon be going to do is we're going to left side
over here, that's toolbar. And left-click on
Transform tool. It says here, it supports
combination of Grob, rotate scale,
everything at once. And shortcut for this
one is Shift Spacebar. Just left-click this
one or use shortcut, whatever way suits you. Here, left-click on x. We're going to see from this
side, from x-axis side. It will be easier than to drag this to make it
look like an egg. Left click this blue part here, Left-click this arrow, this
will just move objects. Those axis. Here. We will click and hold, left-click and drag this arrows. And we have an egg. Water we're going
to do now is going back to select box
tool selected. Click that again. This is still selected. You'll see it's orange around. That means it's selected
this sphere over here. So left-click here. Twice. I will show again, left-click twice here
on this portion. See say sphere. Now you can enter your own word. So it will say eg. Now we'll just left-click
wherever side. We have our egg over here. Now we're going to make this
add a little more smooth. So I'm now using mouse wheel. Scrolling towards or back, pointing at this EKG. See what happens if I scroll
towards X, gets closer, if I scroll away, It's more far. You see here we have those
little cubes all over. And that's not really nice. We want this smooth and more
resembling proper ahead. How to smooth that? Over here on the right side, you have some tools as well. Right now, we're
going to this over here and left-click that it
says modifier properties. Then we will left
click this to open. And C are all modifiers. Here. In generate. If you go down, you will see here
subdivision surface, what that will do. It will make these those faces, those square faces on this
sag, smaller and smaller. Just left-click that. Those smaller already. This is the level of view. This is what we see right now. That's the levels of you render. That's what you see when you
render image later or video. It's already onto
know if we wanted to see what's already
in render view. You can just click this arrow to increase
this to two from one. And now those are the same. So now you will see
your end result, how it will appear later. When you render image or video. It's not smooth enough
yet you'll see we still have those lines visible. Now, who will right-click this and left-click on this
menu, shade smooth. So you just need to
point at this EKG. Right-click, left-click
the shapes mode. And you'll see how smooth
and nice DESeq 0s. Okay? That's as far as modelling.
3. Metallic Blue Egg: Let's get onto
creating material now. How do we do that? Let's say we want this base
colors, something like blue. We select eg,
left-click on that, and here you go to
material properties. Left-click that. Over here. If you left-click this arrow, you have already showing this. You see right now as a material, if we left click that, it will open something
that goes by default. And we said we want this blue. So rebel now, base
color over here. Left-click here on color. And you will see
this color wheel. We want to drop this point up, select click that point and hold left-click and drag it up here. So now nothing is changing here. Why? Because we are in
the wrong view-port. We wanted to move to see
how that will look later, rendered with lights
and everything. So that's the one
over here at the end. Select click that. And now we see
actually final result. If you want more light
blue, left-click this. And you'll see over here. If you drag this left-click
and drag this dot down, you get more dark. If you drag it up, you get more votes. So let's leave it on. Very light blue. If you want this act to look
like metallic or something, point your mom's here
and using scroll, wheel to scroll down or up to see more of these
options to select. Here where it says metallic. Just left-click
here near the edge. Don't click on this side
where this thought is, but here near this edge. And just holding glove tweak, drag this up to somewhere
like summer here. If you want, you can
also simply left-click here and enter a value like 0.8. Then left click here on side. Sorry It applies. So that's metallic. Now, this is for roughness. So here the sod was something
be more reflective or less. If you're dragging
it all the way here, it doesn't really
reflect light much. This way. We want this metallic, so we will leave it
somewhere on 0.4. So this is one way to make
that Ag tech more colorful. You can use any color you
wish from this color wheel. But if you want
this more colorful, you can do something else. So let's go here. I will just drag
this for recording where it's right in
my view right now. And it really bothers. I'm not able to see
things properly. As this material is selected over here and make
sure that is selected. Make sure that egg is selected. That material tab is
selected over here. Now, left-click here
on shading on top. Now we see here
something different. This shows how it appears
with HDR applied, how it will appear actually
just using that light, we will switch that to Viewport
Shading rendered view. We want to see how it will appear actually been
rendered later. Selectively clear
on this hand and hold and use it to drag that
up or down to see it better. Here you have another top
that's the top where you will actually change this material. Here you have a few
points to this side. You have this for
scrolling up and down. The same you have down here. So just left-click and
drag left and right. If you use the mouse wheel, you can zoom in or zoom out. Now, we need to add some
more things over here, so we make this AG
more interesting. I would like to add some
gloss to this deck. I want that to be unusual. How I do that? Left-click on this material
output and holding left-click and just
drag it a little to the sides to make
some space here. This is changing
material using notes. So you'll see here
using olds is ticked. Now we're going to
click here on Add. And we're going to
select here shader. And we're going
here to mix shader. Left-click that. You see it appears right
now, I'm not doing anything. We're just moving mouse
without holding any, neither alive nor write nothing, just moving my mouse. If I just put this here, it would connect by itself. And you make a mistake and drop it somewhere
else of an accident. Just pull this up. Click mixed shader and
holding mixture left. Gleick just moved the mixture around again to
place it Very want. It's going to act it by its own. We can connect that differently. If it's totally
disconnected like that. You just go here to be as dF. Well, I have to click
that and holding left-click drag to
first shader spot. Then from here, well
I have to click shader drug again holding left-click and
connect the surface. We gave actually inputs. That principle would
be as the air, this color goes
his first shader. This means factor. And it shows that it will be equally spread
between these shader and the one we will later that
affect surface of this object. So now we will add
another shader. Left-click here on odd. Here in shader, we won't glossy. We want to add some gloss. So again, we have this glow CBSD efforts is
just place it here somewhere. And left-click, left-click. Drag that. Connect to shader here. You see it changed a lot. Now. I'm going to zoom out a little. And then I will drag
this little point here. Once your point here
and left-click, drag this area more up. I went to see this bearer. I just left-click
and move around. Now, James Scholar because it's glossy and this
white affects it. So I went to change this to same color as we have on this. Over here. Just the left-click
that and left-click. Drag adopt here, and left-click this one and
drag it up all the way. Now, color is the same. There is no change on the stack, but we're going to do now is we will adjust here roughness
on the SCLC shader, so it's not really
glossy right now. We just see that
metallic effect. But see now we have that gloss. And you see how
light reflects here. We didn't want that
magical sea level. Just moved it so severe Louis, that white spot doesn't look really nice then,
something like this. Okay, so now it's glossy. And it's also a metallic.
4. Checkered Egg: Let's say we want to add
some more things over here. We will just add some more things like on this left side,
suppress mouthfeel. You will get this four arrows and holding mouse fields and
just move it to the right. Let go the mouse wheel. And now here, click
here in text2. Select, let's say was select the water we're
going to select. Let's say we select
checker texture. Left-click that,
replacing that one here. Let's say we want to connect this to what we have already. And you know, checker texture. That means we will have
some colors over there. So let's see when we
just connect this, let's click on Color
and just jog here, left-click on color and
just drop from there holding left-click connect
to base color over here, you'll see about cap on it. Now. This affects blue
color and we have now something a lot
different than earlier. We have this white and gray checkered textures around and you see how it
appears on the round egg. It looks nice. But what if we change
colors over here? Let's change these to say blue. It will be too dark. Maybe. Let's choose this one to
say something like that. It's not good. Okay. Something like that. Again, not good. It's too much grayish. So let's lift this up. Let's try again. What colors should we stop? Something lived this maybe. Let's try this blue again. The change, more light. I'm trying to find
some nice color. It can be something
like that. That's it. So here you can scale those
set colors the way you want. I'm just trying to
show how it appears. Here on scale. You can just point here, you'll see you get the
arrows right away if you left-click and drag
this way or that way, this will start
changing from beak. Bigger to denote number,
smaller texture. You'll see what's happening. I will click on this act. So see from to
view with a light. I will drag this down a little. That's what's happening when
I'm changing this over here. Let's go back to
something like that. Something like this. Maybe. Now I went to do something else. I will jog this hello
to the left again, pressing mouse wheel holding. And just more than
this, that side. Weekend, let's say
increase roundness here. You'll see it will change a lot. Look nice anymore. You can influence
scholars how much you want that checkers
to be shown under. You can just let it show a lot. You see how it changed now, if you move this FAQ just
left weakened drug to 0, left Gleick an enter 0. You can now left-click
and jog this again to the right to give more blue. Or you can leave at 0 and
you get AG like this. I'm left clicking x
rotates to show you. We have around interesting. Right now. We can make a lot of
changes this way. You can just know. Change colors,
changed size of that. Many times. You can also do some
other things like you can leave this and just
then plead Control D. You will get more over here. On the left side. Some more things will appear. Over here. You can see you get here mapping
and texture coordinate. If you don't see that
in your blender. Nothing happened at venue. Clique control. When you press Control and D, that means you need to
enable Node Wrangler. It's done this way. Left-click, add it. Go down to Preferences. Click that. It will open
Blender preferences. You need to click here
on Adams, left-click. And here you would type Node. Wrangler. Here is enabled for me, it sticked for you
would be like this. So you will just dig that
and then try again control, holding Control press D, and you will get this. And besides makes sure
that you left-click checker texture
before you do that. And then Control. And D. You will see this over here. So everything will
attach right away. You don't need to do a thing. Now here, you basically changing locations,
rotation, scaling. You can point here
and left-click, you'll see what happens now. This is changing as you jog. If you do that here again,
changing other direction. If you point z here is
changing to other direction. Here you can rotate
the same on y axis. That axis, you can scale. Left-click here and you
see what's happening. Again, you are changing
that tech suit, but see it's now a lot
different and it will change much from all the sides. So right now, we went
to scale on x-axis. If you scale on y, we will get, I'm again during this side so you can see
where the light is. See what happens. It changes a lot. You can play with those animate which just von
texts to you can get so, so many different things. Literally. Many ways to apply this shader.
5. Magical Egg: If we swap checkers text2
with something else, let's say we wanted to delete this one and to try
something else. So left-click, checker texture, right-click and
just click, Delete. Okay, egg is white. Now, it goes back to blue because this is
connected over here. This is still working,
this is separated. So let's left-click
growing down to Texture2D. Let's say retry magic texture, syllabic, leave that one, place it, very checkered x2. Now I will zoom in a little, pressing mouse wheel
and dragging this back. Here, I will connect vector. Left-click here on this
thought and jog this. Connect to vector. I have to click color and
drop connect the base color. Let's see what do we know? Now we have something different. Now we have totally different. Let's change this all to zeros. So we start from, from very started earlier. So let's enter all zeros here. We see main, how it looks. Just playing without any
distortions in full size. And then we will change later to see how more it's gonna be. Just left-click and
enter 0 in each. If you see now how it is. It's a lot of blue
and nothing much we can do is to start scaling this. You see, you start
changing colors. The more we scale. Let's see what if I enter this. Just want Enron. Stay on this upset. I wanted that blue color. It's rant over quickly. There it is. Neither balloon or green,
something in-between. Let's see now point
here on location. And let's see what happens. We started changing again. And we're changing again. Really, truly change
exert just position here. Let's scale this a lot. I think it's happening. Just changed his colors. Body if we start scaling here. Now, magic is happening. Okay, let's bring
this back to 0. So you can play and
explore actually, to find, to find the best way to
color using magic texture, magic texts to is colorful
and includes many color, many colors like it's like
Aurora Borealis more. When you start
playing with that, you can get really,
really nice shapes. Sonia are on that tab. Let's see if we do this, something like here. We point here. So you can go to
positive volume, but you can also go to negative. And keep playing with that. To get different shapes,
different colors. Let's make this
distortion smaller. It's a lot big distortion. Okay. Let's see if we can just
something like that. It's more like to run
a really colorful. So let's see now if
I'm on one here, okay, That's what
I wanted to get. So it's just entered
these values. Let me see on 0, yeah, 0 will be straight lines. Okay, so let's see. Yeah, that's it. You'll just enter
12 here in scaling, x would be one, and that would be two here in magic texture here and
two and distortion. You will get colorful as this, you can go further if you like. It would change their
appearance much. Leave it unto. That will be it. I'm going to try
something else here. Let's see if I rotate colors. What will happen then eroded
this light suppressing acts. Once a C from this side, I will click again and move
it a little to see properly. From this side. That's basically it. Live at someone that something
like that. That's AREC. That's how you make playing
with material this way.
6. Egg With Stripes: I will show you now another
way to color that bag. So I will remove
this side totally just an elliptically here and wrap it in this box
holding gloves. I'm showing again,
left-click anywhere. Next cities and keep
jogging debt holding. Left-click, left-click. And these three are selected. Vm will be white,
it will be red. And it doesn't
matter. Ron is white. Just point and right-click
any of these trees. Here. Select, delete. Those will vanish. We are back to previous differ scholar
and he started to lay out. And now I'm going to show you
something also interesting. So a lot of leak object mode. Here, select Edit Mode,
select click that. Now we see egg in edit mode here we couldn't
change many things. We're going to
hear select faces. That means right now are
selected these dots over here. And we wanted to select
this area is side. Instead. We don't want them to select
the door all at once. We will select Later won by one. But right now, scroll up here, make sure your material
is selected here. Now you see this blue, that's base color
we have right now, but now we will click here. On this plus. Left-click here will appear
and other material selected, click that here. Left-click on New. Now this select
everything over here. That will be new
material we will apply on some points over
here on this app. Let's say we left-click here and acts to
see from this side. And we start selecting, like I want to select to make rings around
in some different color. How to do that? To select quickly
rings all around. You go. Pressed Shift on
your keyboard and Alt key, both at the same time. And then left-click here. Appears. It gets selected this way. You can just try. I like to use one trick. I'll just show you now. I like to left-click
without holding anything. So don't press any
key on your keyboard right now, just one. Face. Select now press Shift and Alt and mixing space between
left click. This one. Now, if you let
go Shift and Alt, jog this, we've got
drink selected. Avoid. What happened to me earlier that actually gets selected
but you don't want, you can use this trick. Now. Do not get into similar problem with this
being Salonica differently. We want horizontals
selected, not the vertical. Again, hold Shift to give
this selected on top. And now click, Don't
click right under this, which was previously selected. Left-click here Next. And now hold. You were holding
shift only here. Now press Alt as well
and a left-click here. We have selected another ring. So again, the same thing. Now, let go Alt. Keep holding Shift. Let's click here. And now press Alt while
holding shift already. And let's click here. Another ring. Lad go Alt. Left-click here. Now, press Alt. Select this Vaughn, and
we have another ink. Let's go Alt. Selected this cube. Press salt, you're
holding Shift. Don't forget to
keep holding Shift. Now press Alt. You are holding Shift. And left-click this
reflected this ring as well. Let's go more further. Hold Shift. Select this one. Press Alt, and left-click this as well. Now one more. Go Alt. Holding Shift, left-click here, Brad salt, and left-click this one. So we have selected these rings. Now how we select that? We want to be on the
bottom and this color, we want this on top. What do we do right now for
these rings won't work here. It won't select this area the
same way as it's selected. Down. We're going to hold shift here, Ali, to make a little square. Left-click, left-click
here anywhere. If you make mistake, just left-click again on that
portion, it will deselect. So left-click here
and drag one cubed. Don't go over the
line of that drink. And it will select
all these inside. We were holding shift
not dealt this time. Okay, so I'm left clicking this x-axis and
dragging this way. Now what we're going to do is selecting that new material. Selected click that and scroll down to see
using Mao's view. Left-click this base color. And let's add something thinking
over here, not too dark. Now scroll up and here
where it says Assign. Make sure that these stay, select this dunk
click anywhere here, otherwise you will
dislike those. If that happens, you would
just click by an accident. Don't worry, you
didn't lose anything. Just go here to Edit and
then Undo your back. So we selected this. We're going to assign that
color to those rings, so logically could sign. And we are here now we're
going back to object mode. Left-click this arrow,
left-click object mode. Here we are. We have our egg
with rings around. And now this color isn't
shiny as demand before, so let's make it shiny as well. Let's do that. Going down to metallic and just dragging this a little to
make this a little shiny, but it's not so shiny
as the won before. How we make it shiny. The same way that we
don't need to make entire shader old
way like previous. To copy what we did previously. You can go here. This material, blue one, down left-click here, shading. You see here. We added this mix shader goes
is shader, and so on. We will just copy that. For an example. Just a left-click here and
just select those two. And then right-click point
to get at any of these zoos. So just right-click here,
elliptically can copy. Now, go back to Layout. Select other material. Now again, left-click shading. Here, left-click material output and drag it a
little to the side. You can left-click and
drag this as well, so you get some space. Now, move those a lot. You don't connect things
right away when you paste the left week here, summer and right-click
done based, and you will paste
copied earlier. Now, the main thing we
want to disconnect this, just as it's going to
have to left-click here and bring it back. Now we have these over here. Let's leave those lovely
weekend drug alone. Now I wanted to connect. I will bring those back. Now. Left-click B is deaf and
connect in first shader. Over here. We have now both shaders
connected here and exiting surface over
here. That's it. It takes a while
for that to apply. We basically copied previous, but we don't want this
blue to be applied here. We want it to be pink. The way these over they're the same color
are similar, at least. We know, basically copied
from one shader to others. Stay there. So you're going to create
something and you're like it. You can cope it to
other shaders easily. Here we are. We can do another thing here. Let's see. I will show you many ways
to decorate that deck.
7. Colorful Egg: Left-click here on
odd in texts to select wave texture. Both here. And now, I'll left click color
and connect to base color. Let's see what happens. It's a blind and he would go, but it doesn't look nice. There is something block
there and so on and so on. So we don't want that
James Scholar totally. How do we bring back that? We wanted to hop? You can simply
elastically here or not and go to convertor. Here, select color ramp,
displays a between. Act on its own. Okay. Now, we want to have
here is left-click here. Let's change it to color. It was earlier. Instead of this block, we want to suggest
the left Gleick, this then electrically color. If I left-click, it
changes to these Scholar, then you are changing
that color over here. Select click here and change
this left-click on black. And pull this up. And change this to what color, what color are we going to use? Sure. Let's see. Oh, look nice later when
you finish everything. Okay, something like that. We can scale it even. Just left-click and drag this. We can make distortion. So left-click and
drag that as well. You see what's happening. We're making distortion on that. There are more settings you
can do here is see the bands on what you going
to do. Further. Let's go back to Layout. We're going back
to this material. Now, again, back to shading. Left-click that again. We are going to do
the same thing here. Left-click or not, and
select the texture here, drag it to the left. And a little more far. So you cannot later
call around as well. Now, we're going to
elastically here, connect the base color. We're going to applying steel. Left-click here,
and in converter, select the color on left-click
and just place it here. It will call. They're
going to act by itself. We will now click this one. I'll click White,
change it to blue. Left-click, it is fun. And change that to, let's drag this thought up. Let's change this to
something like that. And again, scaling
and distortion. And we can change
that this realm. We will go back again
to this color layout. Go into this material. And the left-click
here, wave, wave text2. And let's change
this a little more. I'll jog roughness here. Hello. Lower. We can change
these over here as well. Let's see Rodman happen now. As you can see, we
have some different, different looking,
different looking texture. But what if we left-click
here and press Control and T? What will happen now? We have again that
mapping on the side. We can use this over here to rotate changed location
of this scale. Over here. As you can see, we can change these slots so you can
play with colors further. The way you want. That's just wrong way to do it. You can just thawed
more colors in-between. Such do that. Just breaths here. This plus left-click on that. So we just started
one more in-between. And let's change that one. I didn't know what
somebody who wanted that. For an example. It doesn't really look nice. Right now. You can even drag
those to change places. So I was just
left-click and drag it. I left-click and
drag and you'll see how much it changes right away. Click again ideals,
and we swap ado here. We go back to previous material. You can do the same thing over here and add another color. Left-click. Change
that one as well. To something like this. There's huge difference now. You can drag this as well, change places,
weight, so it's you, it keeps changing a lot. You can go back to Layout. You can even go back
to edit mode from here and just select some more like this to connect
to those rings somehow that change to something. Again, you new material. Left-click here plus here, left-click num here for
base color is Savi odd. This one. That's
due to go metallic. Then we'd go back and assigned. You see what happened
and now we have more more colors on this sag. Okay, I think I clicked by
an oxygen and this one. So if this happens, it's just left-click what you did wrong. Go back to previous
material, left Gleick, dad, and a sign so
it will repair. And that's pretty much how
you can change colors around. So you can just play with that. Selecting random,
whatever you wish. Just hold Shift to keep selected
adult venues select one. You won't select all
for some color or just press Shift and keep
selecting around holding Shift. And it will keep all selections. Just left-click here, rotate it. You can select some
more like this. Moreover here,
something like that. And we add another
color, breaths here. And then left-click on
what color can be odd. No, I didn't know something. Again. Something blue-green,
for example. We want to make the
metallic as Val, and let's assign the sun. Let's see what have you got
an all electric leaking acts to see for onside. So that's it.
8. Background and Light: Now who wants some
nice background? You can just say you want
everything to be green. You can just exit this
cup to object mode. And then you can hear a
left-click God mesh plane. It appeared right in
the middle of this. I will drag it down using this
selected click Move tool. And there's an arrow over here. I will drag it down
to see where exactly. I would love to click this. I can see properly and
that just left click this arrow and drag it
down right under that. Okay? I will logically this
again and bullet alone so I can see
what I'm doing. And I want this to be larger. So I will press S on my keyboard and you
see arrows appear. Now just move mouse. Way to the right or towards
SEC does make it smaller. So when you move away, it makes these larger. You can go just like this. Now. Go and click. When you are satisfied
with how big this is. What I'm going to
do now is I will left-click here to see
this backside properly. Left-click here, I go to Edit
Mode, deselect everything. Now, I will change this on top to etch a
left-click on edge. Why I need this edge behind? So I just Gleick that
I was showing you now, the saddest selected olive. Is it that white line? Why I need that? Because I wanted to pull it up. So now left-click on the y axis. We see that from side. And now I want to jog that. Why higher up to
get the box side, I'm making background right now. To do that, I will now
press E on my keyboard. And I will drag this. Obviously. I just move my mouse. I'm not pressing any anything. Just moving the mouse higher. If you move towards
yourself, it goes smaller. If you move the mouse away
from you, it goes up. When you are satisfied
how high it went. If you move left, you see it goes left or right. I don't want that to leaning, so I wanted to straight up, so I will just
keep it like this. And when I'm satisfied that
a lot go E and I left-click. We finish this. Now I'm going back to see
this from front view. So I'm just turning this around. What I do now is I will left-click again the
sagittal over here. And I will right-click. Here, says bevel edges. Left-click that or use
Control B on your keyboard. And now here will
be around line. You see how it looks, which you can draw a drug. And the moment you move it. Just using a mouse, you're not clicking anything. Just moving the mouse left or to the right as
they move to the right. This happens. Leave it on something like
this right now. I left-click. Now that stopped by,
don't click anywhere. Right now, because this will
vanish and you need it. Now, left-click this
arrow and this will open. Don't click anywhere
on the side steel. This is very important. Don't click anywhere. Here. In segments it says Zhuan. That means you have one segment, that's the one inside. So if I left-click this, I have two segments, three segments, four segments, five segments, six segments. So whatever size your drug, it will split that in how many segments who
show why am I doing this? I won't sixth segments
on that size. Why? I will now click on
satisfied with this. But before I left, I was showing you
one more thing. You can hear increase size. You have sat previously if you're not happy
with the results. So you can do that here. You can see what's happening. This increases why
we're doing that. We're making backdrop jaws
like the carbon photo studios. You know, those nice
smooth paper backdrops. And we're making that
right now so we can render that diagonal nicely
and it has nice background. You can adjust how how much
you want is under that. I was showing with a
beer is on the side. Left-click y-axis,
and then rotate. So that's how it appears now. So it's like a backdrop behind. And now it's not really nice BY, because it's not,
It's not so smooth. We can correct that soon. Such as gone to object mode. And I right-click Shade Smooth. And it's much better now, what color are we
going to sat that? Let's select the blame. And here, we don't want to use those the same we have set for us because we
want new material. So we're just left-click here. Let's add some
color. I don't know. Something like this,
maybe that spring sheets. So if you don't want to shadow, I don't like to cover
that for rendering. Looks much better without light. Here. Antique shadow. That's it. We don't have that
shadow anymore. And we have our light set. We can change it at
some other light. But let's do something now. Let's odd. Here, left Gleick, add another light, point light. And it appears right meter, right middle of that tag. We will go this way. Rotate that, grab this Zotero, left-click on this thread one
and pull that light back. We will put here. Okay, let's increase
this to about 1000. Like that. A lot of
clicks or it applies. Now we're going back to this
view to see VOD TV hub. Again, we have our blue shadow left Gleick that remove it. Let's see if I said this
more diffuse like five. That's maybe too much. Three. It's bearer. Let's see this one. Yeah, they get that on the side. I'm just changing values. This is for diffuse light. This is for specular. Here you adjust the volume of
that light so it would set the Dan won't be
much big change, but there is no need for more. Nice, nice release egg, which again render now nicely. Let's see. If I may be lower this. Now that's going to be good. This is a little small. So I'm going to increase
to the left and right electrically transformed
to make this larger.
9. Rendering Image: To set the camera
right here so we can render this as
someone nice image. Weekend. Control out 0
on your numeric pod. First press control than out. And holding those, press 0. Here is our camera. Now. Select camera
with a left-click. Over here in Object
Properties, left-click that. We are on x-axis. That's the one over here. That means location x-axis. We want to move away
although from the job. So that means as
we are moving from center to this, this is x-axis. You have other side
which says minus x, so we are on positive side. That means we need to move a little more far from this egg. I'm going back to camera view. I will click now here so we get what we could see earlier. So he few this alloc, this, you'll get to see scene. But if you have to
click on camera, now you'll see what
will be renderer later. That's inside this. Over here. We're in location for x-axis. It's seven right now, but if we go to, let's say ten. So just left-click
and enter value. Now it's different. We go like tonight
to hear like that. Wow, that's a little better, but now we need to
move camera down. This is the redox
is that means we are moving camera up and down. Here. Select just left-click and drag this a little,
something like that. Here is not exactly 0. Left-click that, make
it 0 here as well. So we center our
camera appropriately. We want this to be 90 as well. Selectively excite applies
now it's right in the middle. Now this is our scene. Recover cameras set and V
are ready for rendering. So let's go back to camera view. Here, left-click
render, render image. So here is our Easter app.
10. Spots Stars and Squares: It can do its color
is whatever you want. You can apply different
textures there more than i. Then we tried in this glass. I want you to experiment on
your own with materials. I'm going back now
to Scene View. And I will select
I will select here material and I'll go back to one of these we
shaded earlier. Elliptically shader. Here. Basically, you will see
how it starts changing. You will simply, instead of this wave texture,
use some other. Say, you do this like odds, texture like water and oil. Now we want to replace that. So we just left Gleick
and delete wave texture. And we connect Voronoi text or here on all the
settings we have. So just play with it. And a left good distance. Collect here to FAQ. Why do we have now
let's see item No, I'd see it's different. Okay. So now we have something compared with different
value of we remove this material is in all
things are happening. The left Gleick,
blue and remove. Let's loved click
this and move on. We have completely
different tag. We have something totally new. Now. Let's see camera view,
left-click select box. You can render another
completely different eg. Again. We can even increase
this lighting front. Left-click light and
move this so you can see that's the light
right now we selected, we can click here and drag
at the lower left Gleick x. Now, let's move somewhere here. And let's go back
to camera view. Now it's a little
differently from front side. And it changes a lot. It appears. So you can play with the
light, play with colors, and show me how you
decorate your Easter egg. Growing to scale your solo. Show you how you
can change this. Here in water-in-oil. You have some
interesting textures. Now it's set to Euclidean. But if you swap two
Minkowski check this. Now, this will be a huge change. You have something like stars. And now you can
just change those. Just something different. You have here, what
it says exponents. So you can change
it from stars to something more like this. It's amazing what you
can do with that, to continue playing with those. You can even move
bad the chebyshev. It's very similar to previous, but you won't get those stars. You get those tiny
squares are bigger. Something like that. You can change to Manhattan. We're back to something
that resembles something between those neither
stars and neither squares. Now if we play with
colors over here, you can get totally,
totally different. Appearance. Within seconds. Renders so many different, so many different colors, so many different texts. That's something that can
occupy this spring season, something colorful. Play with. This is excellent
way to learn how to create new materials
and how to use notes. How to make changes over here. How to combine
textures and shaders. And remember always when
you're adding shaders, you can use mixed shader. But there's also another
option which says odd shader. So in mixed shader you get this where you can adjust
how much you want. This shows proportions between two shaders where
you can either apply one more or the other or both
equally, setting to 0.5. So everything depends
on how you use that. Use, that use textures, use goal around you as different shaders
and play with those. And let's see. You can create.
11. Closing Words: I hope you liked this class
and I hope to see you again, and I'm very impatient to
see what you created, so please don't be shy,
00:00:13.110 --> 00:00:16.620
post your projects. Let me see all those
colorful, beautiful Easter eggs. I'm sure you can create
a lot better than me. So let's get down to work. If you didn't yet, follow me here
so you can stay updated with all my classes and all the projects I'm working on lately. Bye until next time.
