1. Introduction : Do you have a vision
for your future? But perhaps you're not sure
how you're going to get. They're a great way to set yourself on track is to
create a vision board, which is essentially
a big poster of pictures of things
that you aspire for or wants to obtain. Some point down the line. Vision boards can be either
digital or physical. Anything Goes whatever
works best for you. And you can put as few or as many pictures as
you want on them. But there are some
important things to bear in mind and questions
you need to ask yourself to make
sure that you get to the actual visualization
that you're creating. This document or piece of paper. Making a vision board isn't just about putting loads
of images on a page. You have to be a bit more active with what you're
trying to achieve. So if you want to hear
more tips and tricks and how I approach making
vision boards myself, then this might be the
class for you, hey, on total and I'm a stop-motion animator
turned life coach. I'm really passionate about self-improvement and I've been on a journey myself
over the last decade. I've manifested a lot
of things and I have changed my life for the better
in lots of different ways. I hope that with this class, I'm going to be able to guide you to creating a vision board. Yield better results than perhaps you've
experienced already.
2. Class Project: In case it wasn't obvious, the class project will be to create your
own vision board. I don't mind which one you
use as your class project. It could be, you're slightly unrealistic far in
the future one, or it could be your more
immediate to year one. I think by posting
this as a project on this class is going
to help keep you accountable and putting it
out there and sharing it with the world also will help you manifest it because you're
saying to the universe, this is what I intend
for my future. This is where I'm going to be, this is what I'm striving
for and that action of just posting it will be helpful
for making this happen. I don't need to know the
reasons why you want the things that is
completely personal to you. So keep that to yourself. I'd love to see your
vision board and I'll be putting
positive energy out there for you to manifest the things that
you want as well. So please do share that
as a class project. I can't wait to see what it is that you are striving
for in your future.
3. What Is A Vision Board?: So firstly, what
is a vision board? Essentially, it is a
bit like a collage. It's a page that you
create with images, visualizations of
things that you desire, outcomes that you
wish for your future. This could be anything. It could be your dream house, it could be having a baby. It could be becoming a top
teacher on Skillshare. It could be getting
yourself into better shape, getting a new job,
having a holiday. The ideas for putting
on your board are limitless and are very
personal and specific to you. So wherever it is
that you desire, a vision board is essentially a visual map of that future
version of your life. The things that you ideally would want that you
don't currently have. Visual boards can be equally effective whether they're
digital or physical, actual sticking
pictures onto paper. One of the most important things is just to make sure that it's in a form that you can be
looking at quite consistently. So depending on you and
your circumstances, you may want to
make a physical one that you stick on your wall, or you might prefer to make a digital one that you put
on your laptop screensaver, or even on your phone. Anything goes whatever feels right for you as the right way. And you could even
do both options.
4. Where To Start?: So where do you begin with
creating a vision board? Well, a lot of people take
quite an unrealistic step. They have these
very lofty dreams, goals and ambitions and so
outrageously incredible. But there's no sort of
logical way of getting there. You're not sure how you'd take action to even
arrive at those things. And I think it's very
important to bear this in mind when creating
a vision board. So I am going to tell
you that you can have that amazing vision board like your dream
future ten years, 15 years from now, what
it would look like, you can have that fantastic
house, the sports car. I'm the perfect partner. Some kids, whatever it is, make one like that. Definitely do that. That's the vision board
that you can make now. And you can pop that one away in a drawer and not
really look at it. But as well as that one, you want to make a couple
of extra vision boards that are a little bit
shorter term in goals. So a really good time frame that I think is about two years. You can achieve a
lot in two years. It's hard sometimes to
make a change in a year, but two years allows for
any bumps in the road. Things that might
knock you off course. You never know when you
might get ill or when just something happens is out of your control that can
derail you from your plans. So a two-year vision board is ideal and make your
dreams for this, the things that you
put on it achievable. Don't go outrageously
unrealistic. Have that one and tuck
it away somewhere. But this one, it wants to
be a bit more achievable. So if you are currently renting and you won't
have your own home, it might just be that
into years time, you have managed to get to
the amount for the deposit, you may not yet have
the dream home. You're making that
outcome more possible. For your ideal partner. You could have that
dream personal net. That's perfectly fine. But you've got to be
taking the action to find this person. One of the things
that people often get wrong with vision boards is that they take a passive approach rather
than an active approach. Now you can make
one like I've said, for the distant future and you can tuck that away
somewhere and forget about it. Sometimes it can be
miraculous when you discover it again and you get it out of the
drawer and you think, Wow, I've actually take
some of these things off. You'll be quite
surprised if you are in the right mindset and you stay consistent and focused
what you can achieve. But having a more
active approach to realistic goals is going to
yield you better results. So whatever it is that you're putting down on your
two-year vision board, whether that's a ideal partner, a new car, a holiday. You've got to be
thinking a little bit about what would the person
that has those things have done to get
there if you have got your dream partner and do
you just spend all your time at home and you don't make
any sort of efforts to find them is sort of less likely that you're going to find them show you still might, but it may take longer. Whereas if you're
looking on dating sites or you're going to events and trying new
hobbies and trying to meet people that have
things in common with you. You're going to have
better results. You've got more possibility, more opportunity of meeting
your perfect person. Don't just sit on your sofa with your vision board thinking that things are gonna happen. Just like that, like magic, that's not how it works. You have to take action, you have to put in some effort and you're
working towards these goals. Perhaps you are not
currently happy in your job and you'd like to
do something differently. Maybe you like the idea of being self-employed,
creating content online, becoming a YouTuber
or a social media influencer is actual goal while, while you're currently
in your role at the present moment that
you're unhappy with, start making videos on the side. And you may find that if you're consistent and you're focused, and you have a really
good reason for why you want this new outcome. You will in two years
time be able to drop the job that you currently have that
you're not happy with, change completely shift
into this other avenues. And i'm I'm saying two
years as a timeframe. But if your focus and
you're taking action, a lot of the time, these goals will be achieved
much quicker than two years. Like I said in my introduction, I've manifested lots of
different things in my life. The most recent thing are some absolutely
adorable puppies. And literally been
committing to the idea of puppies and seriously
looking for them. The perfect puppies arrived in our lives within two weeks. So things can really
happen quite fast if you are focused and if you
really, really want them.
5. Finding The Right Images: So when you're creating
a vision board, how do you find the pictures? You could turn to Google, you could look on
royalty-free image sites. This is just something you're
creating for yourself, so you don't have to worry
so much about copyright. It's not something that
you're making money from or anything like that. You're just having
this for yourself to help you manifest what you want. So you have to really like seek the images best
reflect your outcomes. These have to be images bat aren't just
representative of the thing. They've got to
really excite you. You want your vision
board to make you feel so incredibly happy and excited for the
things that you want. So if you have a dream car, don't just put a generic car. Really think about
the specific details. If you could have any car, like what would it look like? Would it be a specific color? Would it have specific details? What would the
interior look like? Try and get an image that best matches the exact
thing that you want. If you want a new puppy, try and find an image of the cutest puppy
that you can find that is closest to this
puppy that you would like. Because just putting
down something generic means that you may manifest it, but it may not be completely
what you want it. You have to be specific. So make your images really selective and really colorful
and bright and exciting. And make sure that you get
that fuzzy feeling when you look at your
vision board and that everything on it is like, Wow, that is what I desire. This is what I am trying to
visualize for my future. And you're going to have a
better chance at getting that vision board to
successfully become a reality.
6. Getting Clear on Your WHYs: Another thing that's
really going to help you manifest the
things that you have on your vision board is to understand why you
want the things. So don't just have
the pictures there. You have to think about
why you want them, because you have
to have a feeling. You have to have a desire
for them that is strong enough for you to
actually manifest them. So e.g. if you wanted
extreme wealth, watch a reason for needing
that extreme wealth. Is it because you
have a young family that you want to support and that would really help you give them the best
start in life. If you can find an emotional, deep motivator and reason for needing the
thing that you want. You're going to have
a better time getting there if it's a new
car that you want. What is that deep
reason for the car? Is it so that you can
take your partner to work or pick them up when they are stranded somewhere
late at night. Everybody wants a holiday. But why do you want a holiday? Is it because you've
been working really hard and perhaps your freelance and you never get a break. And having that time away might help you to get
some new content, or it could be to just relax. You just need some time and
space away from everything. You find that specific
reason, write that down. That's just for you. I don't need to see that. But it's very good to get clear on not
just what you want, but why you want it and how it's going to
change your life. If you can think of
something that really liked, pull the cord within you and makes you
think, oh, this is, this is, it would change my
life because this would be so good for helping with
this specific thing. Then you've got really targeting vision for what you're
trying to manifest. So think about why
you want the things, as well as just wanting them.
7. A Digital Board: So how do you create a
vision board digitally? Well, you could do this
in any sort of software. He could do it in Canva, you could do it in Photoshop. You could even do it in Word. It doesn't really matter. Google Docs or an option to just any sort of
software where you can put images and then you can save that out
as a JPEG or a PDF, or any format that can be viewed on your phone
or on your computer. And you can then put that somewhere where
you're going to see it consistently and often. So let me show you
how I'm going to lay out my vision board. This is my two-year one. This is stuff that I
think it's achievable. I've put silver
YouTube play button, Skillshare, top teacher. A trip away to Italy, winning a competition
with my golf, getting into a secure and
committed relationship. And I also think it's
really good to put quotes that are meaningful on
your vision board as well. Things just to remind you that every day
is a fresh start, living in the moment and love what you do and
do what you love. Of course, everybody is likely to want to manifest
more income in some way. So I've put some
money and I just fill the space behind
with the notes. Another thing is puppies was trying to manifest
three puppies. We want three sibling puppies. And I also want to manifest a better aesthetic like more
fitness, more athleticism. So I have just mocked up my face on a body
which appealed to me, and that is my aspiration
for fitness goals. So I have put that
in there as well. I made sure that the
puppy in the middle was exactly like the puppy
I'd like to own, would look these specific
with your visuals. Then we move on to my
other vision boards. So this is more in
the distant future. So I've got a cruise
going to New York, having a car, my dream
car is a Mini Cooper. A prime there to symbolize
perhaps having a family, obviously more wealth
behind and lots more quotes to keep
me on track and to get me in the mood for manifesting all of this and all of the important
things to remember. And then of course,
fitness is ongoing and that body is not going
to happen overnight. So I have that on my long-term
vision board as well. Actually here I've
put one year and three to five years. It's
completely flexible. You do what you want. But I think that
for most people, a two-year one is
more achievable. But obviously I've been
manifesting for quite some time, so I have been ambitious. I've put all of this on a one-year board for
myself and the rest. I'm hoping in the next
three to five years, you could have it even
further in the future. You could do one for 15
years in the future. Anything goes, There's no
wrong or right answer. Whatever you feel
is right for you. So yeah, this is me
being vulnerable, sharing my vision boards. And I'll be updating this class
as to when things happen. The puppies have
already arrived. I started making this class in January and I now have a puppy. Yeah, I'll put in a
video about that.
8. A Physical Board: So we want to do for creating a physical vision board is get yourself some old magazines, newspapers, and do
some Google searches. Literally be as
crafty as you'd like. Cut and stick makes something. Again, they excite
shoe That looks cool. And then you have a
physical vision board that you can put
up in your office. You can put it up
in your bedroom. You can put it
wherever you want, somewhere that you're
going to see it often, you want to find images of
things that you desire, things that you aspire
for in the future, and find the pictures that represent the things
that you want. And what I mean when
I say best represent, really do mean that
like if it's a car, you want to look at the
specific color, the model, all the different
details that you would imagine for
your dream car. If it's your dream
house, similar, make sure that you
aren't just putting a generic house on
your vision board. You want it to be
your greenhouse. So make sure that you've
found the best picture you can to represent the house that you would like
in your future. If you can be really
specific and find images that best reflect it, you're more likely
to get what it is that you actually
want down the line, the more detailed and
specific you are, the mother universe knows what it's trying to
bring to watch you. Maybe you want a dream holiday. Find a picture of the exact location of where
you want to go. Make it spectacular. Think about the web and make
it look good in the photo. You could even put a picture of the airline that
you'd like to travel on. A plane above it,
make it detailed and as true to what
you want as you can. Because the more exact
shoe vision board is, the more exact outcome
is going to be. You want to be looking
at this every day, I'm thinking, yes,
that is my future. That is what I want. I'm going to make this happen.
9. How Are You FEELING? : Another really important
thing to bear in mind with vision boards
and manifesting in general is that it is your internal experience that reflects your
internal experience. So really keep a check
on your thoughts and what it is that you
are feeling internally. Are you feeling happy and positive or are you feeling
negative and anxious? Do you have an abundant mindset? Or are you living
with a lack mindset? The way you think about things will the potential
to manifest them. So e.g. if you are wanting to visualize and
manifest extreme wealth, but your opinion of money is not that you are
already abundant. That you tell yourself every
day that you don't have enough money to do
this or that and you live in that lack mindset, which may be true. You may have debt. You may not have the money to do the
things that you want, but you need to trick yourself
into believing that you do have money and that you
can buy whatever you want. And you already abundant. If you are believing that and feeling like you're
already abundant. And if you can sort of
experience that in small ways, it may just be simply buying
someone else a coffee, which isn't a lot of money, but it's that generosity
of I've got enough. I can buy you that coffee and little things like that can actually make a huge difference. If you're somebody that
just tries to keep all of your money to yourself
and you never spend it. And you're constantly thinking, I haven't got enough
money to do anything, so I must like, hold
onto it and save it. And you're like in
this lack mindset, but it's really an aligned
to gathering extreme wealth. Whereas if you are sort of
coming from the place of, I've got so much that I can
buy this passion or coffee. I can go out day of the
week and do this thing. And you just don't
even question it. You just are like, Yeah, I can do that because I'm
abundant and if I spend money, more money will come back to me. There's so much money out there. There's plenty for everyone. There's no competition. Wherever the money is that I want and need is mine to have. If you have that approach, you're going to find
that more money does come to you a lot easier. Something that I've
experienced in recent years is the more
money that I've spent, the more I've invested
in myself and the more I have bought things, experiences or things that
have just elevated me, the money is just arrived
for those things. The money has come
to me in some form.
