1. Introduction – What You'll Learn in This Class: Hey, my name is Zodith
and in this class, I'm going to show
you how to create the venom symbiotic
effect in blinder. I'm going to show you a
very simple technique, a very simple way to create
that symbiotic effect. And trust me, it is really easy. This is like a
miniseries in which you will learn the very
basic of venom symbiote. This class is targeted
for absolute bigness. Just need a decent computer to run blender, and that is it. I myself. I'm a big
fan since I was a kid of Spider Man and venom. While I was a kid, I watched this trilogy of Toby
Maguire Spider Man. And in the third part,
when I saw the Sim jot, it looked really great. And I'm going to show you
how to create your own. So let's begin the class.
2. Setting Up the Text for the Symbiote Effect: Today, I'm going
to show you how to create well on symbiote
in a very simple way. Let's start blender and
create a new project first. Delete everything here and
just save the project. I'm going to name it venom. I'm going to show you how the venom symbiote works
and how you can use it. But this is just
for beginners only, and if you're interested
in something more, you can check out my one
R class on Skillshare in which I'm going a bit
more on the advanced level, and in that class, I'll be teaching you how to
create venom symbiote, but on Spider Man and with
using Sum animations. So first, let's just create
a text, and for that, just go to Edit Me and
I'm going to name it as venom in captin I don't know, because it just
looks really good. By the way, my mouse scroll is, you know, it's not
functioning well. So there might be some problem. Let's just rotate it on the Xs. Rotate it 90 degrees, okay? And then go to the data property and click on the font and let's just mess
with the settings. I think I'm going to make
the size a bit longer. I have to manually zoom in or
zoom out like this because my scroll is really
dead. The font is okay. Then go to geometry and
then slightly extrude. And let's just increase
the depth just a bit. I think I'm going
to decrease it. Okay. Now it looks good. Yeah. I'm not going to change anything
for the resolution. The characters piercing. Um, I guess this is fine. Okay, so I think
the text is fine. We can just add the
material later on. Yeah, for the text,
it is fine right now. Okay, so in the next lecture, we're going to move ahead with creating a floor and
creating the venom sapo.
3. Creating a Symbiote-Inspired Effect for the Text: Now we have to create a floor. So just create a plane, and I forgot to change
the origin of the, you know, venom letters. So select that and go to paragraph and click on
this one and make it center. Okay, now it's good. Now, increase the size of the
plane to maybe like this. I think now we can convert
this text into mesh. So make sure you selected
the text and go to object, then convert to mesh. Now, you see, this is the mesh. Just move it just
a bit like this. And now we are going
to create the venom symbiote and to create the venom Symbio you
will need a free add on, which is called IVsaR I'll show you how to download
that and enable that. First go to the preference. Go to preference and click on Extinct Jen and search for IVGen and you
will find this one. You have to just download it
and make sure it is enabled. I've already downloaded it
and my add on is enabled. So I'm not going to repeat
the same step again, but you have to make
sure you do this, okay. So what you have to
do now is just get the cursor and place it
somewhere here like this. This will be the origin
point of the Symbue. The symbiote will start
going from this point. So I'm, you know, like, fully happy
with this point. You can just change
wherever you want. And when you're done,
select select the text. And now what you have to do, you have to mess with the
setting the IV generator. If you don't know
how to open this, just click on N and go to create and this will
be like IV generator, just click on this and make
sure you uncheck the grow a grow leaves option
and then make the length to let's
say five meter and change the IV size
to 0.0, let's say five. And make the adhesion weight
to Let's just make it one, and branching
probability is fine. Let's see how it looks. I think I should increase
the length to maybe ten. Okay. Now it looks good. Let's just increase
it even more. Let's make it 15 meters. Okay, now it looks good. But there is something I Okay. There is no IV in this section. So I'm going to just prize C then get the oig to
somewhere light here. Then I'll, again, add a new IV. But still, there's some problem. Let's decrease the azion to 0.5, and let's see how it looks now. Nook. Now, let's see how it looks. No. You just have to mess
with the setting and you might just
find a proper result. Like that, there are a lot
of startings here, right. So make sure you just, you know, like I have I have imaging I have a imagery
result in my head. So I just I just want
this to look pin. I just want this
to look like that. So I'm again gonna
create a new IV and Mm this looks good. Um, I think I'm
going to decrease the size to that's 0103. And now let's see how it looks. Okay, this should look good. And
4. Refining & Enhancing the Symbiote Effect: Now what we have to do is do the same for, like, the plane. And I think the origin
point will be seen. So just make sure you have selected the plane and
click on at New Ivy. This is just too much. I think I'm going to
make the length to five. Hmm. This looks good. But no, I think this is fine. Okay, so when you're
done with this, what you have to do is
just first press ends, so, you know, this
window just goes away. And, just in case
you blended crisis, please keep saving
the project or else you will lose the progress. Now, select this IV. If you see in the hierarchy, we have the two curves. This is for the plane, and this is for the letter. So we have to first edit some settings and then
we can animate the symbiote. So right now, we need
what we need is this IV, select this IV and go
to data properties. Okay, just go to modifier and
get shrink crab modifier. Okay. Then choose the
target to the letter. Like, this will be our target. As you can see, the IV has now like properly
stick with the letter, but you have to make
sure you just apply. And as you can see,
the second you apply, the symbute looks like this now. Now again, select
this imbute and go to data properties and make
the depth let's say three. Okay. Let's just make it
five and see how it looks. Five also looks good. I think I'll go for three. Okay. And then, search
for smooth modifier and just increase it until you know until
this looks good to you. I think this looks good. And I think I'm going to
increase the depth to let's say. How about it? No. Okay, file looks good. And now we have to
do the same for the IV, which is for the plane. Then could do shring
crap and for the target, choose your plane,
and then press Apply. And now let's increase
the depth to five. And then we need
smooth modifier, just like we did for the letter. Let's make it.
Let's make it ten. Okay, it looks smooth. But I think I'm
going to, you know, increase the depth to
maybe ten this time. Okay. Now this looks good. Now what else we need
is a bizarre curve. So get a bizarre
curve and let's just, you know, move it. Let's just move it here. And select Let's first
select this letter IV gen and go to the tapper object and search
for Bzar curve and select. Now, the size, it will look
really weird and abnormal, but just bear with me right now. Now this is our
Bzarre curve, okay? Just go to edit mode, and and click on A to
select everything. You can just manually
do this like this. Click on A plus
everything, sorry, select everything and just, you know, decrease the size. And you will see the
size on the right side. It's also decreasing
just like we are decreasing the size of IV.
I mean, the bizarre c. And now what you have
to do is let select this set this vertice or the end of the
bizarre cut and just zoom out and you
have to rotate it, okay. Rotate it on the ZX. Just rotate it and
see how it looks. The IV on the letter
will also change. So keep that in mind. Let me just decrease
the tap to three. See, there are two
tisese this one, which is straight,
rotate it on the Z axis just a bit to just
make it proper straight because it
is slightly curved. And now we are going to
increase the size of it. Okay? So zoom out just a bit and
increase the size. Okay. And now we are going to
do the same for this. But for this, click
on Map Tapper. And now for this one, we are going to select the same bizarre card and then decrease the
depth to maybe five. And Okay, I think 55 is fine. Or maybe three?
No, five was good. And now it is done. We can animate it like this. Okay, I forgot to
click on Map Tapper. So if you click on Map Tapper, it looks like this, um. So you can animate it like this. It looks really good, man.
5. Animating the Symbiote for a Dynamic Look: Now we have to animate it
and we can do it like this. First, click on Frame one
and make the end to zero, and hover your mouse over
here and click on I. And then there's go to frame 50, then make it one. And again, click on
I on your keyboard. Now if you can see,
it will be like. Now we'll do the
same for this IV. So go to frame one, then
make the end to zero. Press on I, then go to frame 50, then make Make it
one and click on I. So now let's just
start from fre one, and let's just
make the enthme to 50 and now see how it looks. It really looks good, man. If you just go in the
middle of the timeline, like the way this
venom semiot is, you know, moving, it just
looks really realistic. See w? It just looks
really good, man.
6. Shading & Lighting for a Cinematic Feel: And now we can just, you know, texture it. So go to the material shading. And then for the texture, we are going to create our
own, which is very simple. Just name it venom and also just make sure this
is also set to venom. Now we can just
make the base color black and increase the metallic just a bit and decrease
the roughness. You know, let's just
not use metallic. We'll just use rough lass. And yeah, that's it. And for this, we can
either make it red color. This looks really good. Let's just zoom out and
let's get a camera, okay. And I think this is how
I want the camera to be. So I'll just press
Control Alt plus zero. And yeah, this is my camera, and let's just make the
focal length to 40. O and I'm going to rotate it like this. Oh, well, this does
look good, man. Um, we are in the EV right now. Make sure red dressing is on, and also the motion blur
and go to the final render. Like it's not the final render, but it's the render tab, the put render, let's say, and then add a point light. Let's get it behind the text and let's
make the value to 50. And then then again, duplicate it and
move it like us. Well, uh this is how it looks. This is just an optional step, but if you want to, you know, animate all the
letters like E and OM, you can just follow
the same step. I did with the letter B,
and it should be fine. But I think I'm just
going to leave it with, you know, just the letter B. And well, let's just, you know, render it and
let's see how it looks. I'm gonna make the camera
to here like this. And I'm gonna render it. I'm going to render it as
SS MP GVDo in the encoding, if you want the
format to be MP four, just select this MPEG
four, and that's it. LaconRnder admission. And this will just, you know, render the 50 frames. It would be like two or
3 seconds, 2 seconds, I guess, it will be 2 seconds
short and it's almost done.
7. Final Thoughts & Next Steps: Okay, so this is
how it turns out, and this is how it looks. I think this is
just too beautiful. Well, that is it
for this course. If you're interested in learning more on this venom symbiote, you can check out my 1
hour class on skill share. In that class, I'm
going to teach you how to create this
same symbiote effect, but on Spider Man. And that, trust me, that just looks
really fantastic. So see you in that class.
