1. Introduction: Hello everyone, I'm uni, and into this class we'll draw a few cute breakfast characters. These class doesn't require any prior experience
or offensive, will start from scratch
and we'll be using simple techniques
throughout the process. Everything you'll see will
be happening in Procreate. However, if you have other software or one to
try traditional materials, you are welcome to join if
you are ready to start, Let's jump right into it.
2. Canvas Preparations & Cereal Bowl Sketch: Let's start our
class by deciding what kind of Canvas we
are gonna be using. You can see it is a very
simple square canvas because both pixel width and diesel
hide our 2048 pixels. If you would like to use any other dimensions for
a Canvas, just go for it. S for a DBI, we are using 300
and ethnic color profile. We are at SRGB with
this low number. When it's all done,
let's hit Done and it will be redirected
to earn your Canvas. And now we need to
decide what kind of colors we're going to be using throughout the whole class. You can go to the Projects
and Resources tab. You can download
the color palette and you can follow along. While you're still here
under the Resources, download the brush
with the name grid that will be useful for
us just in a few moments. So now, when you have
done with everything, let us go to our color palettes and we will see that we have two options of how we can use this colors that we
have downloaded. They come back to
you and the cards, we will be using the cars because they have
all the colors, names and they are ready
for us to be used. So now while we're still
here under the palette, Let's select our first color, and it will be this color
with the name blues. So I just tap on us to select
when we have our color, we will go to our Canvas
and we will create a grid going through the
whole shape of our canvas. For that, we will
need this branch that we have downloaded
from the resources. So let's just go to our brush
library and left select it. If you want, you can go
over your left side to the slider on the top and
adjust the size of your brush. And what we need to
do, we will need just to go to this canvas. And with one stroke without
an holding our Apple pencil, we will need to go
through the whole shape of our canvas and
create this grid. So let's just go
and try to do that. And when you are
done with this task, we will need to go
back to our layers. And firstly, we will rename
this layer to greet. So let just tap on it
and let's choose Rename. When we have this
layer with a grid, we will need to create
one more layer above and onto this layer we will
be creating our sketch. Let's just tap on the plus
icon and straightaway, Let's rename it as Sketch. So again, we're at tapping on the layer and we are
choosing Rename. Now when we have a new layer, we will need to get back
to our color palettes and we will need to
select a new color for our sketching part. This color will be lines, so let's just tap
on it to select. And when we have the color, we will need to select
a different brush. So we are getting again back
to our brush library when I go into this kitchen folder and we are selecting
procreate pencil. If you would like to use any other brush for
sketching part, you are welcome to do it. Now when everything
is prepared, alleges, get back to our Canvas ledger, zoom it into some blank space. And we will start very easily by creating a shape of the ellipse. We will do it by going to
our Canvas and we will create the shape without an
holding our Apple Pencil. So just with one line, Let's just go and
try to do that. At the end of the line, we will hold our Apple
pencil and you will see that your ship snaps
to a better shape. You can adjust the
size by moving your Apple pencil
from side to side. And when you're
satisfied with the size, largest and hold
erythema and we will go over the top to ADHD
when he did it, you will see that you have
some options on its own. It might be an
ellipse or a circle. And also you can notice that we have some nodes on our sheet and we can tweak
these nodes to adjust the shapes so we won't
go to one of the sides. So e.g. to the right one, we will grab these
nodes and we will make this whole
shape more circular. So it still will be an
ellipse, but more circular. When you have
something like that, let just tap on the screen and we will get away
from this modes. When we have this shape, we will go and create
it so part of the ball. So we will need to
create another Alice, but this time it will be positioned on the
horizontal axis. So let just go a little bit about the center of the sheep. And we will start by
creating our ellipse, just created as big
as our main shape is, you can hold your
Apple pencil at the end to snap it
to a better line. And also we can just go over
the top to edit shape to adjust the position and maybe the size of
these little ellipse. So what we need to do, we will firstly go and try to position this Alice
just horizontally. So the nodes on this side shouldn't be positioned
on the one line. Let's just go and adjust this. Our bottom part will be
the bowl so you can adjust the position of the
whole shape and you can adjust the
size of the ball. You can make the whole shape
very big or very small. It's up to you, find the
placement that you like. And when you have
something like that, we will need to open this shape just a little bit on
the vertical axis. So let us go to this
node on the top, and we will just drag
it a little bit up, combine the lines on the sides, try to make them
nice intersection. And when you have
something like that, Let's just tap on the
screen with one of our fingers or with
our Apple Pencil. And we will get away
from this modes. Now when we have these, we can just grab our
eraser tool and we can erase this top part because
we don't need it anymore. So let just do that. Now when you have
something like that, you can see that this
is the ball and it will be a little bit hard
for it to sit on the table. So we will need to adjust the bottom part
just a little bit. We will go to the bottom
and we will create a curve here that will be the sin
curve that we have right here. So we will need to create a parallel curve
going on the bottom. And we will need to intersected with the shape that we
have on the bottom. So let's just go there and we will try to create this line. You can always hold your life
and the hands and you can always go to Edit shape or the soap to adjust
the curvature. E.g. you can just drag this line over the
top and you can just make it the same
line that we have on the top by tweaking
this little notes, when you have the right shape, Let's just move it
down and we will just intersect it with the
main shape of our bull. When we have it, we will
tap on our screen with one of our fingers or
with our Apple Pencil. And we will go to this side, and we will make this a
little bit less curvy. So we will go first
or our left side, we will just go to this line that we have on this
side and we will go down with it and we will
make it not that curve it. When you have it on one side, we will move on to
the opposite set and we will try to
recreate it there. Just go into this line starting from the line on
the top and just go in down with a less curves that we have on our main shape. Try to make these sides
equal on both sides. And try to make these
corners that you have on the bottom a
little bit more round it. When you have something
like that, led us, again, grab our eraser tool and we will erase all the lines
that we don't need. And when we have our ball, we will one more time, get back to our brush and we
will go over the top where we have this cut and we
will create some milk here. We will go above this
shape and we will create some wobbly lines,
Something like that. You can play around with
the amounts of these loops. You can play around with the
amplitude with error thing. You can play around
with the size of them. It's all up to you. Pay attention to
this little parts where you are intersecting
other objects. So e.g. if we create this
line going a little bit up, then we have our line for the
bowl, it will get better. But if you just go and
create it like that. So it will be just
such an airline, it will be a little bit weird. So try not to touch other
objects in that way. If you can just go a
little bit above or a little bit beyond when
you have the whole shape, let's just grab our eraser tool and we will erase
the inner part, intersect and our milk. If you need to
adjust some shapes, just go with your
brush and adjust that. If the whole wobbly shape is not happening from
the first try, just try out one more time. When you had the
shape that you like, ledgers go inside it and we will add some hoops of the cereals. So very easily we
will just go inside the shape and we will start
creating our little ellipsis. So again, you can
create the shape, you can hold it at the end, snap it to a better shape. And when you have it,
we will go inside of it and we will create a
small ellipse insights. So we're just going there and repeating the shape you
can play around with how big this inner part is by moving your Apple
pencil from side to side. If you need to adjust it, go up to Edit Shape and we will create a few of
these little shapes. You can play with the
direction of them. You can play with their
sides, with everything. Maybe you can combine
them together. Let's just go all over this
fight and let's create something like five or maybe
six of these little shapes, play around with them. And when we're done 8.0 parts, Let's just go to the ball and we will add our facial features. Firstly, let us find an approximate center
of our bull ledgers guilt over the top of
the whole shape and we will create a vertical
line going down, hold it at the end, try to put it in the approximate center,
adjust the angle. And when you need to
go over this up to Edit Shape to position
your line differently, you can go and did that. So let just find this
approximate center and when you have it, let just tap on the
screen and we will create another line that will
go in a horizontal way. So let's just go and
create this line. Hold it at the end, go over the top to edit
shape if you need to. When you have found this
approximate center, we will go above it and we will start by creating two
dots for the eyes. So firstly, let's just
go on our left side leg, just tap a little
bit from the center. We will go and create a
little dot like that. You can shade it right away. And when you have
it on one side, we will go on the
opposite side and we will try to put this same
dots on the right. So we will need to
keep the same size, the same distance
from the center, and we also need to put
it on the same line. So let's just go
and try to do that. And when you have the ice, we are ready to add
a little mouth. So let's just zoom
in our Canvas and we will go right
between the eyes, right on the same line. And we will start on the top by creating a horizontal
line like that. You can play with the size. When you have this line, we will go underneath it and we will create half of
this circle there. As always, hold your
line and the ends. A jazz decides guilt or
the tub to Edit Shape. Play around with the size
and with everything here. When you are done, adjusting your curve ledger
step on the screen. And now we will go inside
this mouth and we will create another curve that
will represent the tongue. So this time it
will be reversed. Let's just go over
the bottom part and let's create this half
of the circle here. And when we have this, we will go under the ice and we will add
little cheeks here. They will be just the circles. So let's just first
look, you are left side and let's create a
circle under the eye. As always, you can play
around with the size and with its position when you
haven't done one side. Let's move on to
the opposite side, and let's create the
same thing here. You can create this
line just as before, just with one line with that and holding your Apple pencil, hold it at the end. And also you can hold
one of your fingers on the screen to snap it to
a perfectly round circle. So when you did it, lead us and hold
everything and we are ready to add more
details to the bowl. So let's just go and
add some flowers. We will go across our whole shape and we will create the wobbly
shapes like that. You can play around with
the amount of petals. You can play around with
the amount of flowers. Just go and create a
few of them alone. The whole shape of our bowl. When you have the
shape of the flower, we will need to go
inside and we will need to create a
little circle there. So when you have this shape, Let's just go and create
a few more of them. Try to not put them on
the facial features. And as always, you can
play around with the size. You can play around
with the amount of petals with everything. And when you have
added your flowers, we are done with our
first illustration. But if you need to adjust
some of the parts, we can do the following. We can go to our arrow
key on the top left, you will see that we have
a little panel here. We are using uniform
methods right now. And you can see
the bounding box. These bounding box
will let you to make your elements a little
bit smaller or bigger. You can rotate it
to your ligand. It's all up to you. To make it smaller, we will need to go to one
of the corners, so e.g. to the right top one. And we will just drag our
Apple Pencil diagonal. It's out. When you found the
size that you like. We can also go to this
green node or the soap. We can hold our Apple pencil
there and we can move it in a circular direction to find the rotation that we like. So in that way, you can position your elements on some
place when he did. We also can do under work
with the warp option. You can see that we still
have this bounding box, but it's not only
around the elements. Also we have some
intersection inside. So that means that we can go
to any intersection or to any place on this bounding box and we can adjust our elements. So e.g. if you want, you can go over the bottom
right corner and you can just move it to
this side and you will see that you are
adjusting the shape. You can play around with
your sheep right here, maybe make it a little
bit wider on the bottom, are a little bit
narrower on the bottom. It's up to you. Just play around if you want to. And when you are
done with this part, we will just need to tap onto our arrow key on the top-left. And we will meet in
the next part where we are going to be creating
our own next illustration.
3. Bacon Sketch: Start with our
bacon illustration. Let's just zoom in our
Canvas to some blank space. And we will start by creating
a wavy line like that. When you have it, we
will need to go on the bottom and we will
need to recreate it. So let's just add a
little bit down and let's create the same line
that we have on the top. When you have these two lines, we will need to connect them
on this side by creating two lines that are vertical and that are parallel
to one another. So let just go and do that. When you have these shape all connected and all
straight leg just go to the corners and we
will turn them into some soft corners instead
of the various treatments. Let's just zoom in our
Canvas to the first corner. We will go to this corner
and we will create a line like that instead
of various street corner. So we are just turning
them into curves when the first
corner Dan ledgers go all over all of that. And we will create
the curves instead of that very, very
straight corners. And when we did it, we will need to grab an
eraser tool and we will erase all the extra parts
that we don't meet. And when we have a
shape like that, we will need to add
some stripes inside. Again, we are just stepping a little bit from
the soap and we are creating the same line
that we have already soap. When you have the first-line
ledgers go a little bit down and we will create
this same line there. When you have the first stripe, we will need to go a
little bit down and we will need to create another
stripe on the bottom. So let's just go and again, start by creating the line going through the whole
shape of our bacon. When you have the first line, Let's create another
one underneath it. Tried to make it
similar to the lines. Do this tribe that
you have on the top. And when you have these sheep, we will need to create another
shape exactly like that, and we can do it in that way. Firstly, we will go to our S ribbon icon
over the top-left. We will tap on it
and you can see that we have this
banner on the bottom. We will need to select
freehand methods, whether free hands method, we will go to our Canvas and we will make a
selection like that. So we will need basically to go and create the
selection and connected when you have selected
only the area that you want to
adjust in any way, you will see that only
this area is selected and it is more visible
when you have it. We will need to go to
our Canvas and we will need to slide three fingers
from top to the bottom. This way we will invoke the window that is
called Copy and Paste. And firstly, we will
need to tap Copy. Now I can see that you don't
have any selection and you don't have any objects
that you cope it, right? So we will need to do
with my MRI attack. We will, again need to go to our Canvas and we
will need to slide three fingers down and invoke
the copy and paste menu. And now we will need
to select Paste. Now you can see the bounding
box and you also can notice that your element is
now a bit more visible. That means that we
did everything right? And that means that if we
just go to our Canvas, if we hold our Apple
Pencil at some place, and if we move our elements, you will see that we
have the copy of it. So we will just go over
this first slice of bacon. We will put the second
slide's a little bit above, and we will just go into
rotated a little bit, just find the position
that you like. And when you are done, we will tap on our
heirarchy one more time. We will go and erase the
part that we don't need. So grabbing our areas or two and going over the
bottom part of this new shape and
we add arrays and everything which is overlap
in our first elements. Now when you have
a clean sketch, we will need to
go to our layers. And you can see that we have a new layer here which is
called inserted image. We have our new elements
onto this layer, but we don't need a lot
of layers for our sketch, so we will just go and merge
these two layers together. We will go to this layer with
the name inserted image. We will tap on it and we
will choose merge down. And now everything
is on one layer. Now, let us get
back to our canvas. Let's grab our
brush one more time and let's just go
and add our feces. So firstly, let us go
over our main element, which is in France. We will go to this little stripe that we have already
soap and own it. We will create our eyes. Firstly, if it's easier for you, you can start by finding
this approximate centers. So you will need to create one vertical line
going from top to the bottom and one
horizontal line going through this
approximate center. Or you can just ends up with
one line which is vertical. It will be easier for you. So now let us go over one
of the sides. So e.g. the left one, we will go
to this tribe over the top and we will start by
creating our little eye here. Let's just go and
find this shape. You can play with the size, you can play with the placement. It's all up to you when you
hand the eye on one side, Let's move to the
opposite side and let's recreate the same I here. We will need to put
it on the same line. We will need to keep
the distance from the center and we will just
go and recreate the sheep. And when you hand
the second eyelid, just go and add
our little mouth. You can go right
between the eyes and we will start by creating
a line like that. As always, you can play
around with the size, with the position,
with everything. When you have it, we
will get underneath it and we will add
little teeth here. Again, play around with the
size and with arithmetic, we will just go and create the little rectangles like that when you have
it on one side, Let's move on to
the opposite one, and let's do the
same thing here. Now when we have our little mouth ledgers
go above our eyes. And if you want, we can add some
little eyebrows here. You can play with the
distance from the eye. So you can play with the curves, with the shapes,
with everything. If you want, ledgers
go and add that, try to make them
similar on both sides. And when you have the eyebrows, ledgers go underneath
our eyes and we will add little cheeks
the same way as before. We are just creating a little circles or ellipses
underneath the AKS. You can play with the size, you can play with the placemats. Let's edit on left side. Firstly, let's just
hold our Apple pencil. Let's hold one of our fingers. A jazz decides to your ligand, and when you have
it on one side, Let's move on to
the opposite side. And lastly, the same thing here. If you need to adjust something, your over-the-top to Edit Shape. And when we have
our first phase, let's just go to the next slice of bacon and let's create
the face here too. Again, if you need to, you just need to go and create the line going
vertically like that. Find the approximate
center and when you have it led to start by
creating our eyes again, going over the left side
firstly and create an elisa. I like that. If you want, you can
play around with different shapes of the eyes. It's again up to you when
you have the first eye. Let's move on to the
opposite side and let's create another eye there, again, trying to create the same size, trying to put it
on the same line, trying to keep the distance from the center is similar
on both sides. And when we have
our little eyes, let just go between them and let's create a little
Smiley mouth like that. Again, play around with the size and play around
with the position. If you need to adjust it, go over it, it's
up to Edit Shape. And when you have
your little mouth, let just go and add
our little cheeks. So again, going underneath the eyes and we are
creating our ellipsis here, play with the size, play with their shapes, played with the position. Try to make them
equal on both sides. And when you are
done, if you want to, we can grab our eraser to erase all the lines
that we don't meet. When you have the pretty
clean sketch ledgers, get back to our S ribbon icon
will use freehand method. We will select the whole
shape of our Bacon. We will go to our
Transform tool. We will find a different
placement for it if we want, we will rotate them and if we need to adjust
them even more, we will go under Warp and
we will adjust them here. So play around with the shapes, find what works for you
and when you are done, we will meet in the next chapter where we will create a backup.
4. Coffee Mug Sketch: Start with our
third illustration. Let's just zoom in our
Canvas to some blank space. And we will begin by creating
a shape of the ellipse. The same way as always, we go into our Canvas and
we are creating the shape with one line without an
holding our Apple Pencil. And the end of the
line we are holding our Apple pencil to snap
it to a better shape. And if you need to
adjust the size, just move your Apple
pencil from side-to-side. And when you're
satisfied with it, Let's just go over
the top to Edit Shape and we will adjust the
shape just a little bit. We will make it a
little bit more open. That means that we
will need to go to one of the nodes on this side, and we will move these nodes a little bit more
towards this side. So e.g. they just go
over our right nodes and we will just drag it
more toward the right side. When you have
something like that, Let's just tap on the screen
with one of our fingers or with our Apple pencil to
get away from this mode. And now the same way as
we did with our bowl, we will need to create
this cut in the middle. So let's just go somewhere
in the middle and we will create this
horizontally aligned ellipse. It depends on you where you want to put this little Alice. You can decide what size of
the cup you want it to be. So let just go somewhere
in the middle and we will create the horizontally
aligned ellipse. Hold the line and the answer, snap it into a perfect
shape on the ellipse. And if you need to
adjust it even more, Let's go over the
top to Edit Shape. And here again, you can play around with the position
of this ellipse. And what we need
to do here is to combine this side nodes of our horizontally aligned
ellipse with the main shape, with the main sites
of the sheep. So let's just go and adjust it. And also we will need to
pay attention to this horizontally aligned our lives because it should be straight. Alleges go and play around. Let's find what works for us. Play around with the
position of this Alice. Play around with the
whole size of the cup. And when you are
done LED just tap on the screen to get
away from this moats. And when we have it
ledgers go and grab our eraser tool
and we will erase this top part because we
don't need it anymore. And when we did it, we
will need to work on to our boards in part
because as it is right now, it won't be possible for these
caps to sit on the table. We will need to flatten the bottom part
just a little bit. And we can do the same way
as we did with the ball. So we can just go and create another line here that will
be parallel to the line, what we have right here
onto this little islets. Or we can just go to
this part where we have our very rounded
bottom parts and we can just go and create
more flattened line here. When you have this little line, we can work on to these
connections right here. So we can just create some curves instead of
a very street corners. And when you're
satisfied with it, we will grab our eraser tool and we will erase
this bottom parts. When you are done with that leg, just go to one of the sides and we will add a
little handle here. So we will go probably to the left side or to the
right side if you want to. And we will need to create
half of the circle right here. So let's just stop a little
bit from that soap bars and we will go and create
these big of the circle. We will hold it at the end, and we also will hold
one of our fingers on the screen to snap it to a
perfect shape of the circle. When you're satisfied
with the size, Let's just go over the
top to Edit Shape and we can go and adjust
its placement. When you're satisfied
with the placement lead, just tap on the screen to
get away from this modes. Ledgers, grab our
eraser tool and we will erase everything
that we don't need. Also, we will need to go
inside this little handle and we will need to create
this inside inner part. So basically we are
just going inside of the shape and we are
repeating the line. So let's just add a little bit from this line that
we already have. And let's create another half of the circle the same
way as before. We are holding our line at the
end and we are holding one of our fingers on the screen to snap it to a better shape. It just decides. And if you need to adjust
something even more, go over this over to Edit Shape. Try to put it right in the
middle of the main shape. And when you are done, if you need to
adjust some parts, if you need to erase
some little lines, just go to the Eraser
tool and erase them. When we have this little cup, we will go to this part that we have
right here on its own. And we will need to repeat
this backlog because we would want it to be a full cup with
some coffee or with a t. So let's just go there inside of this shape and we will repeat the line that we have on the
back the same way as always, you can create this line. You can hold it at the end if you need to adjust
the curvature, go over the top to Edit Shape and play with this
little handles here. When you're
satisfied, allege us, go and add our little face. Before starting, we will need to find an approximate center. So again, we are going over
the top of the whole shape and we are creating
a vertical line going from top to the bottom. At the end of the line,
we are holding it. We are adjusting our angle
to make it straight. And if you need to
move this line, we will go up to Edit Shape and we'll position it right
in approximate center. When you are done, you
can also go and create a horizontal line going through
the approximate center. Or if you feel very confident, we can just go with one straight line going
through the top part. And when we have this line, we will go more to the top
part of the cup and we will start by creating a snout because we are
making a bear here. Let us go and we will create
a very soft triangle. As always, you can play
around with the shape. You can play around with
how big the shape is. It's all up to you when you
have this shape like that. For convenience, we can
grab our eraser tool. We can erase this line in the middle because
we will go inside of these sheep and we
will need to create a little nose and
a little mouth. So firstly, let's just
go over the top on this part and we will create
another triangle here, again, soft, but this time
it will be looking down. So something like that. If you need to adjust the shape, just grab an eraser tool. And when you have this
shape for the nose, let's just go underneath
it and we will create another vertical
line like that. When you have this line, we will need to create
a little Smiley mouth and we will make it just with
half of the circle there. So just go in and creating
the shape like that. Hold it at the end, adjust its placement,
adjust its size. It's all up to you. If you need to
adjust it even more, go to Edit Shape, find the placement
that you like. And when you have this little
mouth and the whole snouts, we will go and add our eyes. So let's just go
over the left part. Firstly, we will do to the same line where
we have our nodes. So we will go to the
left and we will create a little dot over
the left parts. As always, you can play around with the distance
from the center, with the size, with everything. And when we have this first I, we will need to go over their right side and we
will need to add another. I hear the same way as before. We need to keep the
distance from the center similar to the one that
we have or our left side. And we will need to put it on the same line and we will
need to keep the same size. Let's just go and
try to do that. And when you have
the second eye, we will go underneath our eyes and we will
add this little cheeks. So the same way as before. We are going under
the eye and we are creating a shape
of this circle. We can hold our
line and the ants, we can hold one of our
fingers on the screen. We can adjust the
size to your liking, do whatever you need to do here. And when you have
the first shape, we'll go over the right side and we will do this
same thing here. So again, just go in there
and creating the shape holding our Apple pencil
at the end of the line, holding one of our
fingers on the screen, trying to make the
same size that we have over our left side. And if you need to
adjust the shape again, going over it, it's
up to Edit Shape. You can make sure that you have the same size by
moving your shapes. So worried the first element, if it is similar, ledgers go to the other side and let's position
this little shape. And when you are done, ledgers tap on the screen
and we will finish up this whole shape by adding little ears over the
top part of our cup. So let's just go
over our left side and we will mark
down the halfway. When we have it on one side, we will go over the right side and we will do the
same thing here, just marking down half of this line that we
have over the top. When we have it, we
will need to go over this shape and we
will need to put this mark that we
just marked down in a center or the shade that
we will use for the ears. So let's just go
there and we will create half of the circle there. You can play around with how big you want the shape to be. You can hold your Apple
pencil at the answer. You can hold one
of your fingers on the screen to snap it
to a better shape. And when you have the
shape that you like, Let's unfold everything
and then just go order right side and we will
repeat the same thing here. So these mark that we put should be right in the middle
of the whole shape. And again, to make
sure that the shape is similar to the one that we
have over our left side. Let's go over top to edit shape. We will just move this
shape and we will make sure that they are
similar to one another. And when we did it,
we will just move this shape so we're
the right part and we will position it the way that this mark is right
in the center. When we are done,
Let's just tap on the screen to get
away from this mode. And let's just grab
our eraser tool to erase everything
that we don't need. The last thing that we
will add here for the cup, we will go inside the ears and we will
add the inner parts. So the same way as we
did with the handle, we will just go entropy, the shade that we have
over the top part. Let us go step a little bit aside from our shape of the ear. Let's repeat the sheep as
always, hold it at the end. Hold your finger
on the screen to snap it to a perfectly
round circle, a jazz the shade by going
over the top to edit shape. When you have it in one side, Let's move on to the other side and let's do the
same thing here. And we will need to
close the shape of the inner part of the ear by creating the line that
we had right here. So we will just go
there and we will repeat the line that
we already had. And now we are done
with the sketch. But if you would like to adjust some places or if you want to adjust the whole
shape of the cup, we can go to our S ribbon icon. We can select this whole object by using freehand methods. And we can go to the Transform
tool and to the world. We can adjust that
to our liking. If you want to make
this shape bigger, you can go to the
uniform method. If you want to rotated, go over this green nodes
and rotate your object, find the placement
that you like. And then if you need to
adjust it even more, go to the word play rounds when you're satisfied,
deselect everything. And we will meet in
the next chapter where we are going to
be eating the pancakes.
5. Pancakes Sketch: Start making our last
illustration lead, just zoom in our Canvas
to this last blank space. And we will start very easily by creating a horizontally
aligned ellipse. So the same way as always, just go into our Canvas and creating the shape holding the
line and the answer is no, but to a better shape, if you need to adjust the size, just move your Apple
pencil from side-to-side, find what works for you. And when you are done, we will go over the
top to Edit Shape. And we will make this
whole shape a little bit more open on
the vertical axis. So let just go to this node
that we have ordered soap, and we will drag it a
little bit more to the top. When you hand the
sheep like that lie, just tap on the screen. And we will need to create the same sheet that
we have right here, and we will need to shrink
it down just a little bit. Suggest menu. Let's just go inside of
this shape and let's create another shape of the ellipse
the same way as before. Just go in there and
creating the shape, hold it at the end to snap
it to a perfect ellipse. And if you need to adjust it, you're already up to Edit
Shape and play with the notes. Try to put it in the center. And when you add an LED, just tap on the
screen and we can continue by adding our pancakes. But firstly, just to make
everything easier for us, alleges go back to our layers and we will
create one more layer above. We can leave it as it is
right now without any name, because later on we will
combine all Malays together and all of our sketches
will be right on one layer. Now, onto this new layer, ledgers go inside this
shape inside of our plate, we will go a little bit above it and we will create
our first pancake. So the same way as before, we will create just a
shape of the ellipse. Make it a little smaller
than your plate. Hold your leg, and the Yan's, if you need to adjust it, your over-the-top to edit shape. When you have the
shape that you like, Let's just tap on the screen. And now we will need to create two more ellipsis like that. Let's go to our layers
and we will make a copy of this layer
with our first pancake, which is earlier three.
When did they selected? We will swipe it
from right-to-left and we will choose duplicate. And now we have two layers
with a similar title. We'll go to the top
one and we will go to our Transform tool
over the top-left, which is our arrow key. We will use uniform methods. You can see that we have
this bounding box and we will just drag
this new shape down. You can play around
with its size, with a thickness,
with everything, with the position
if you want to, basically, we will need to pay attention to this little part over the bottom because this is the thickness of our pancake. If you want, you can make
it very thin and maybe add not three pancakes
but four or five. Or if you want, you can
make it very thick. It's all up to you when you are satisfied with the placement
at with everything here. Let's just tap onto
our Eric you one more time to get away
from these modes. When we did it, we
will go again to our layers and we will make
one more, It's applicants. So again, when the
layer is selected, we will swipe it from right to left and we will
choose Duplicate. When the top layer is selected, we will go again
to our arrow key uniform method and just
dragging this shape down, play around with the size, play around with the position. You don't need to stack
it right under another. If you want, you can tweak
them a little bit to the side. It's all up to you
when you are done with adjusting the
shape with placing it, just deselect everything
by hitting our arrow key. Now, we just need to get rid of everything
that we don't need. Ledgers, grab our eraser tool and we will start
from the bottom. So we are now adenylate
with our last thinking. So let's just go over
the top part and let's erase this line
that we have already. It's all because we
don't need it anymore. When we are done
erasing this part, ledgers get back to the layers. Let's go to the
layer underneath it. The same way as with
the previous layer. Ledgers go over the
top part and we will erase this part
that we don't need. The last thing that
we will need to do is to go back to our layer with the sketch and we will erase
this back part of our plate. So again, just doing there and areas in this little piece. When you are done
cleaning up your sketch, let us get back to our
layers and we will need to combine all these
four layers together. We can do it in two
different ways. The first one is to go
over our top layer, select it, tap on it
and choose merge down. This way, we will merge
down only these two layers, but also we can just go
to all of our layers. And we can go and put one
of our fingers on the top, 1.1 of our fingers
on the bottom one. And we will make a
pinch movements. And now this way we will merge
all the layers together. Now we have everything
on the layer with this gauge and we can
continue adding details. So firstly, let just
go and add our face. We will go to our top pancake, and we will start again by
creating our guiding lines, one vertical and one horizontal, go in through the
approximate center, hold the line, adjust the angle if you need
to adjust it even more, go over the top to Edit Shape, find this approximate center
with a vertical line, and then allege us create a horizontal one and we
will do it in the same way. So just go in there creating the line, adjusting our angle. If we need to adjust it
even more going over it, it's up to Edit Shape. And when we have it, we will go right to this line. We will go over our
left side and we will start by creating
a dot for the eye. Ledgers go and
create these dots. Play around with the size, play around with how different
it is from the center. It's all up to you when we have our first ILS move on
or our right side. And let's add the second I
repeating the same size, repeating the same line, and keeping the same
distance from the center. When we have it, we will
need to add a little mouth. If you want, you can grab the eraser tool and
erase this middle part. So it will be easier for
you to find where you need to put the mouth
and when you're done, let just go right between
the eyes at the same line. And we will create the
first line like that, a jazz the angle,
adjust the size. If you need, suggest that
even more go over it. It's up to Edit Shape. Tried to make this
line very streets. When you have it, we
will go underneath it and we will add half
of the circle here. And again, you can play
around with the curvature. You can hold your Apple
pencil at the answers. Snap it to a better shape
if you need to go over the top to Edit Shape and adjust the curvature and
everything here, play around with the size
and when you are done, ledgers go inside of the shape and let's add a
little tongue here. When you are done, ledgers go underneath our eyes
and let's add the cheeks. So as always, we are
just going there and creating the
shape of the circle. Hold your Apple
pencil at the end. Hold one of your fingers, adjust the size when you
have it on one side, move on to the other side and let's do the
same thing here. And when you are done
with adding the face, let's add the additional
elements and are additional elements in that
case will be some berries. So firstly, let us go over one of the sides,
over the top bars, and let's add a little
strawberry if you want, you can just go to
assembling space that you have on your canvas
and create in there. And then position it
owns a your pancake. So for this true brute, we will need to create
the shape like that. It is a very soft triangle. When you have this sheep, we will go over the top of it
and we will add some stem. So I just go in there and
creating some Ellen Gates. It's ellipsis like that. You can adjust the size of them. You can adjust how many
of them you want to add. It's all up to you. When you have this
little stamps, we will go inside the shape of our strawberry and we
will add some seats. So very easily just
go it alone the whole shape and add in
some lines like that. When you have this
shape ledgers go and position it
onto our pink cake. So we will go back to
our S ribbon icon. We will use freehand methods. We will select
this little shape. We will go down to the transform tool
using uniform method, and we will just
go to our pancake and we will position
our little sheet. You can make it bigger, you can make it smaller, rotates it, do whatever
you need to do here. When you are done,
Let's tap on to our S ribbon icon to just
deselect everything. Let's continue and create one more strawberry and we
will put it on the plate. So the same way as before. You can go there to
some blank space onto your canvas and create
the strawberry there. Or if you're feeling
very confident, you can just go strictly to the plate and create
a strawberry here. If you have created
your strawberry outside of these plates,
lead just again, go to our S ribbon icon
free hands method, select this elements, go to the Transform tool and
position it onto the plate. When we have position
them to our liking, religious tab on the ribbon
icon to deselect everything. And if you want, we can grab our eraser tool and erase all the lines
that we don't need, all the intersections, we will just go there
and erase that. And when we have our little
strawberries ledgers go and add some blueberries. They will be just
circles and you can play around
with their sites. So let's just go and
add a few of them. Firstly, over the top part, just create the shade the same way as before with one line, hold it at the end. Hold one of your fingers on the screen to snap it
to a perfect shape. A jazz decides to your liking. When you're done and
hold everything, you can overlap the objects and it'll create a nice picture. Ledgers go and add a
few more blueberries. And when you are in Zan ledgers, grab our eraser tool and we will erase all the lines
that we don't need. When we have added
all of the details, we are done with
our last sketch. But if you want to
adjust your object, we can just go to
the S ribbon icon, select our elements, and
then go to the transform to make it bigger or smaller
rats eat it to your liking. If you want, you can
just always go to the warp tool and you
can adjust it even more. So play around with this tool, deselect it when you are ready. And in the next chapter, we will add a few more
details and we will position our elements
onto the canvas.
6. Sketch Adjustments & Details: This little part, ledgers
go over all of our sketches one-by-one and we will find
a better placement for them. Maybe we will rotate
them, make them bigger, just position them
wisely onto our canvas. So again, the same
way as before. We will start by going to our left corner and we
will select S ribbon icon. We will use freehand
methods and we will start, let just say from our Bu. So let's just go
there to our canvas. Let's select this
object a little bit around until only this
object is selected. And we will then go
to our arrow key, which is our transform tool. We will go to the uniform method and we will adjust our sheet. So e.g. allege us, make it a little bit bigger. So we will just go to one of the corners nodes and we
will just drag them up. So e.g. when I go into our right top corner and we
add dragon it diagonally up. When you have the
size that you like. Let's just position it more
wisely onto our Canvas. E.g. lead, just move it a little bit down and maybe rotate it. Find the position that you like, find the size that you
like when you are done, Let's deselect
everything by hitting R S ribbon icon one more time. Again, we will one more time. Go back to our S ribbon icon. We will select the
next object and we will find the
placement for it as well. Let's just go all over
of our elements and will position them
wisely onto our canvas. And when you are done
a jazzy your elements, Let's just go and add
some additional elements. So e.g. let's just go all over our blank
spaces and we will add some little elements such
as flowers or maybe hearts. Let's just go and
start from the flower. To create the flower, we will repeat the sheep that we already have onto our bowl. So let's just go and start by creating a little
shape on the circle. And we will go around it
and create some petals. As always, you can play around with the amount of this paddles. You can play around with how big you want this flower to be. Let's just go over our places and let's
add a few more flowers. Try not to overdo it. When you think that
there is enough flowers, Let's just go and
add a few hearts. So e.g. let's just go over this top part and we will
create the heart here. We will start from
one of the sides and we will create
the curve like that. And when we have it,
We will move on to the opposite side and we will
try to recreate it there. As always, you can play
around with the size. You might come up with
some compositions. So maybe you don't want to
add just one heart here. Maybe you want to create
another small one near it. Just play around and
add a few hearts. If you want to add a few
more objects to your liking, you can go and do that. E.g. you can add some dots, maybe some little lines. Just go all over
the places that you want to add your objects
two, and add that. When you are done
adjusting your elements, when you are done adding
the additional elements, we are done with this part. And in the next part
we will be agent. They clean lines.
7. Adding Clean Lines: Before starting an
airline in part led just decent preparations. Firstly, we will go and
we will change our brush. So we are going to
the Brush Library and we will go to the
calligraphy folder. Into the calligraphy folder, we will choose monoline brush. And while we're still here
into our brush library, we will do to this brush and we will adjust it
just a little bit. We want all of our lives
to be very smooth, so we will need to go
and tweak one value. Let's just tap onto
this brush and we will go inside the brush studio. You can see that we
have some folders or our left parts and we will need to go under stabilization. You can see that we have this value that is
called streamline, and it has a slider with the
amount of the streamline. So you can go to this
drawing path and you can try out how your line works. If the amount of
streamline is low, you will have all the
control over your line, but it will be a little bit
jagged because it will be repeating the natural
flow of your hats. So if we just go
to this amount and if we increase the amount
of this dreamland, you will see that we
have a very smooth line, but we are losing
a bit of control. So you can just go to this amount and find
what works for you. And remember that you can always just get back to
this streamline and adjust the amount to your liking when you are going
to be creating the lights. So now let's just leave
it at something like 90 per cent and
we will hit that. When we did it, we will go to
our slider on the top-left and we will set the size
only brush to two or 3%. When we did it, we will
be using the same color, but we will need to
do one more thing. We will need to
create one more layer for our clean lines. So let us get back to
our layers and we will tap on the plus icon
to create a new layer. When we have a new layer, Let's rename it as clean lights. So we add tapping on it and
we are choosing Rename. And also while we're still
here under our layers, ledgers go to the
layer with the sketch and we will change the
opacity level of it. The opacity level is how transparent your objects
once a year earlier. So now they are at 100%
and they are very bright. But when we're going to be
creating our clean lines, we want to see what's
happened in both on our layer with the sketch and on our
layer with a clean lines. So it doesn't need to
be very disturbing. Ledgers go to our
layer with this cage, and ledgers go to this icon. Let's tap on it and you
will see that we have this slider with the opacity
and now it is at maximum. We can just go to
this little slider and we can move it
more to the left. You can find the amount of
opacity that works for you. So e.g. something like 50, 55 per cent will work best when you're
adjusting the opacity. Let us get back to our layer
with a clean lines and we will start recreating what
we have on our sketch. It doesn't mean that we
will need to recreate everything with
100% of similarity. We just need to go and
create these objects. If you want to
adjust some details or if you want to
add more details, you are welcome to do it. Our main goal here is to
create the close lines. That means that we
don't need to have any gaps between airlines. And of course, our lines
should be very smooth. So let's just go to
one of the objects. Let's just start from our bowl and we will create
the lines here. So firstly, it ledgers
go over our left side and we can use all the
tools that we use before. We can hold our lines
and the Yan's and snap them to a
better shapes, e.g. ledgers firstly, go to
our left side and we will recreate this line
that we have on this side ledger
started from the top. And we will just go and
recreate this line. Hold it at the end if you want to snap it to
a better shape, if you need to
adjust it even more, go over the top to Edit
Shape and play around with these handles until you have the result that you want. When you hand this line ledgers give it to the bottom
and we will create another line and we will connect these two
lines very smoothly. You don't need to create just one line going
through the whole sheet. It's probably impossible. So you can just go
and create a few of them and connect them
with a smooth connection. So let's just give it
to this bottom part and let's create
another curve here. Again, hold it at the ends, snippets in a better shape. If you need to adjust it, go over the top to edit sheet. And if you have not
very good connection, we can just grab our
eraser tool and we can erase it to our
likened to ledgers, decrease the size of our eraser. And let's create a
smooth connection between these two lines. If we have something like that, we can always get back to our brush and create
a better line here. Now when we made our
first connection, ledgers go over our right side and let's create
another line here. So again, just go there and create a line connected nicely. And if you need to adjust something ledgers due
to this little place, ledgers grab our eraser tool and erase everything
that we don't need. And if we need to make even
a smoother connection, we will grab our brush and
we will do it manually. Now when we have it, we will go over the
top and we will create this big Alice that
we have already soap. You can go and create
little pieces. Or you can start by creating the whole shape and then erase the parts that
you don't need. It's up to you. The same way as before. We're just creating this shape. We are holding it at the end. If we need to adjust it,
we are going over it. It's up to Edit Shape. And we are trying to connect our sheep on the ellipse where
the sides in a nice way. When you are done playing with the notes and when you're
done adjusting your shape, Let's just tap on the
screen to get away from this mode and ledgers go
through these little parts. And if we need to
adjust something, we will just go and
manually detach. So now we have the ball
and let's just go over the shape and we will create this wobbly shape of our milk. And again, you don't need to go with just one line and
recreate this shape. If it's easier for you, you
can create with pieces on the line and then connect them
smoothly with one another. Also, if it's easier for you, you can always go to your
LEA is create one more layer above and create these additional
elements over this soap. It will be easier for you
later on to get back to your layer with a
clean lines and erase this part is
this true zone heat. So let's just try
it out in that way. On a new layer, we
will go back to our Canvas and we will
create this wobbly line. When we are done
with this shape, we will get back to
the layers we will go to earlier with
a clean lines. We will select it. We will grab our eraser tool and we will erase all the lines
that we don't need. All the lines that
are overlapping or back part of the ball. Let's just go and erase that. Now, when we cleaned it up, ledgers get back
to our layers and we will merge these
two layers together. So let's just go
to our layer with this wobbly line
which is on the top, will select it, we will tap on it and we will
choose merge down. And now everything is
on one layer and it was easy for us to erase all the
parts that we don't meet. So now let us continue
agent or little elements. Let just go and continue with this little hoops
that we have here. So again, as before
creating the shape just with one line and
holding it at the end. Remember that you need to
create the closed shapes. If you need to adjust them, go up to Edit Shape. Ledgers go all over our little hoops and let's create them with this ellipsis. And again here when
we have one over J, there is overlap in
the previous object. We can go back to our leaves. We can create one more layer
above and onto this layer, we can create our object and it will be
easier for us to get back to our layer
with a clean lines and erase the part
that we don't need. Let's just go and do it
on a separate layer. Now, let us get back to
our li with a green lines, will grab the eraser
tool and we will erase this little part
that we don't meet. And now one more time we're
getting back to our layers, where I go into the
layer on its own and we will tap on it and we
will choose Merge Down. Now, everything is on one
layer with a clean lights. Let's continue aging these
little flowers that we have on the shape of our bot for this
little part in the middle, you can hold your
Apple pencil and you can hold one of your
fingers on the screen, just named them to a perfect
shape of the circle. When you are done
with the flowers, ledgers go to our
facial features and we will recreate that. So to make sure that we will get back to the same brush size, we can go to our slider
over our top-left. We can tap onto this little
mark that we have on it. And we will go to
this little plus icon and we can tap on it. It will remember
where our size was. So now when we did it, we can just get
back to this slider and we can increase
the size of our brush. And in that way, we
will add our eyes. When you have the doors
for the eyes allege us, go back to this slider
and we will tap onto this little mark
down that we made before. And in that way,
it will be getting back to the size
that we had before. So now let just go and add
this little mouth again, just recreating the shade
that we have on our sketch. Hold the lines at the ends and go over the
top to edit shape. If you need to adjust the shapes when you have
the shape that you like, Let's tap on the screen
and let's go inside our little mouth and we will
add a little tank here. Now we have our main
facial features and you can see that we
have our cheeks here, but we won't be making the
lines for them because later on when we're
are going to be coloring our whole illustration, we will edit just
with the color. And now ledgers go all over our own objects and let's
add the lines in that way. Just remember that we need
to create the closed lines. When you're done, agent
lines to your MI objects, ledgers go all over our miscellaneous objects and let's add the lines
here as well. When we are done
with all the lines, ledgers get back to our layers and we will hide our
layer with the sketch. So we will need to go to
this layer with this gauge, and we will need to go to this little checkbox
near the icon. We will tap on it and we will hide our layer with the sketch. Now ledgers get
back to our Canvas and we will go for
all of our shapes. We will make them smooth, we will make nice
connections and we will erase all the
parts that we don't need. And also makes sure that
all your lines are closed. And when you're done
cleaning everything up, Let's just move on
to the next chapter where we are going to
be aiding the colors.
8. Adding Base Colors: Start with our current part. Let just go to the layers
and we will create one more layer between
our layer with the clean lines and
with the sketch. So firstly, let us go and select our layer
with the sketch, and we will tap on the plus
icon to create a new layer. Let's rename it as colors. Now when we have this new layer, and if I would want to
go to art objects and use this color drop method
of recoloring our objects. Nothing good will happen. We will be recoloring
the whole layer, but we can do one
more thing and we can just use this option
onto the separately. Let's just go back
to our layers. Let's just go to our layer
with it clean lines. We will tap on it and we
will choose reference. Now, if we go to our
layer with the colors, we will be able to
recolor our objects. So now let's just get back
to our color palettes and let's start with the color
with the name yellows. We will go to our top-right
corner and we will drag this color to the
main shape of our book. And you can see when you did it, you will have the
option on the top, which is called continue
feeling with recolor. When you tap on
this little icon, you can see that we have
a little handle here, which we can move to
the needed places and which we can recolor
our objects width. So now let us go to
the back part of our bot and we will move
this little handle there. Now when we haven't there, we can go to the rest
of the objects onto our back part of the bow
and we can tap on that. And we will recover these
little pieces in a same way. We will go inside of our
elisa flowers and we will add the color to these rounds
here with the same color. We will go through all
of our little flowers inside of our shapes and we will add the color
to the circles. When we are done with
our first color, we will go to this magic wand
icon that is now selected. We will tap on it to deselect everything and we will tap on it one more time to just
close this little list. When we did it, we are
ready to get back to our color palettes and
select the next color. Now, let us go and select the
color with the name cream. With this color, we will
go and add the color firstly to our milk
when we did it, where I continue
filling with recolor. Now, we need to move this
little handle inside our hoops, and we will need to recolor
these areas the same color. We will add to the inner part of the ears and to this
note on the Mac, when we are done
with this color, one more time, tapping onto our Magic Wand tool to
deselect everything, going back to our color palettes and selecting the next color. This time, it will be brown. With this brown color, we will go and add the color to the pancakes and to the
inner part of our mock, which is our coffee. Adding the color to
the first object and continue filling
with recolor, moving our little handle
underneath to our next pancake, and then just go with even more underneath entry color in
the rest of the areas. When we recolored our
pancakes ledgers go to the coffee and let's recolor it to when we are done
with this color, Let's deselect everything by
hitting our magic one tool, and let's select another color. This time, it will be
peaks with this color. We will recover our hearts
and our strawberries. When we are done, Let's deselect everything and let's
select the next color. This time, it will be green. With this color, we will go and recolor our stamps
on the strawberries. When you are done, let us get back to
our color palettes. Let's select the color with a light pink and we will go to entry color or shape of the
Mac with the same color. We will go to our hoops and
we will recover some of that. When you are done, Let's deselect everything
and one more time, let us get back to
our color palettes. Let's select this color
with the name dark blue. With this color, we will
recover our blueberries. When you are done with the blueberry lead, just
deselect everything. Let's just get back to our
color palettes and let's select the color with
the name orange brown. With this color, we will recolor our plates and are a baker. And also you can add the same
color to some of the hoops. When we are done
deselecting everything, going back to our
color palettes and selecting the color
with the name blues. With this color, we will go and recolor the
rest of the hoops. Now going back to
our color palettes, and let's select the color
with the name whites. With this color, we
will recolor all of our flowers and we will add
the same color to the teeth. And now let's just go and
add the color to the mouth. So firstly, we will just go
to our shapes to our mouth, and we will need to
select the same color that we used for the lines. So we are selecting the
color within the lines. With this color,
we will go inside of the mouth and we will
add the color here. When we have it on one elements, we are going to the next one and we are doing the
same thing here. Now, we will need to go
back to our color palettes. We will select the color pink, and we will recolor
our little tongues. Now we are done with the
main shapes and we can go and add this little stripes
that we have on the baker. We will do it in a
very interesting way. We will go back to our layers
and we will need to tap on the layer with the colors and we will select Alpha Lock. When I select an alpha lock, we are working only on the areas that we already
have onto this layer. So we will be adding the colors right inside these shapes. Now, let's just
zoom in our Canvas. Do this little bacon
parts ledgers, go back to our color palettes, and let's select the color
with the name begun stripes. When we did it, we
will get back again to our leaders and we need to
see where our stripes are. So that means that
we will need to unhide our layer
with the sketch, and we will also need to put this layer above earlier
with the colors. So firstly, let us go to
earlier with this gage. We will select it and
we will unhide it, go into this little
checkbox near the end icon. When we did it,
we will just hold this layer and we
will move it up. When you did it. We will
go along this tribes that we have with this
new color select, just go and do that. Don't forget that
you will need to get back to your
layer with colors. If you have some minor places
that you need to recolor, don't use the eraser tool because you will be erasing
the parts that you need. Right now. We will need to go back
to our color palettes. We will select the
same color that we use for the main shape of our bacon, which was orange brands. And with this color,
we will go above these elements that we need to recolor and we
will recolor them. When we are done
with our stripes, Let's just go and
add the cheeks. So one more time we are going
back to our color palettes and let's start with the color
with the name light pinks. We will go and
increase the size of our brush and we will
go above this elements where we need to put our
cheeks and we will add the dots here for
our mock ledgers. Get back to our
color palettes and let's select the color
with the name pinks. With this color, we will
go and add the cheeks. Now when we are ready, let us get back
to our layers and let's hide our layer
with the sketch. Now we are done with
our basic coloring, but in the next part, we will add some shadows.
9. Adding Shadows: Let's start by going to
our layers and we will need to create one more layer above our layer with the colors. So when the layer with
the colors is selected, we will tap on the plus
icon and straight away, we will rename this
layer as shadows. We will need to clean this
layer to a previous one. So it will work similarly
to the Alpha Lock, but everything we will be creating all the
different clear. So we will go to this layer, we will tap on it and we
will choose clipping mask. All the details will
be appearing only on the areas that we have
on the previous layer. Now when we have this layer
and when the eclipse it, we will need to go and
change the blending modes. Blending mode of the layers are different ways your layers
can interact with each other. That means that you can add
different visual effects. For the shadow, we will be
using multiply blending mode. We will go to this icon. We will tap on it and you can see that we have a list here. Let's just go and find
multiply blending mode. Multiply blending
mode, multiplies the colors on the blending
layer and the base layer, and the result is
always a darker color. So that means that
it is good for us to use it as a Shadows. And when we have select
multiply blending mode, we also will need
to go and change the opacity level of this layer. Because now when it
is at the maximum, it will be very bright and
it's not what we need for now, let's just go and set it at 25 per cent if it will be
not enough for us later on, we can always get back to this value and we can adjust it. And when we add them,
adjusting earlier, ledgers get back to
the Canvas and we will start aging our
shadow to the bowl. So firstly, ledger
select the same color that we used for the
main shape of the ball. We can do it in two
different ways. The first one you already know, we will need to go back to our color palettes and
select the color from here. But also we can use
a different methods. We can go back to our Canvas and we can invoke the
eyedropper tool. To do so, you will need to go to the color that you need to select and you will need to hold one of your fingers there. You will see this little too. And if you move your finger, you will see that the color
on the top is changing, and that's exactly what we need. So now let's just go to this yellow area and we
will unfold our finger. You will see that our color on the top right is now changed. And with this color, we will
go to one of the sides and we will start eating our
shadow from a little curve. So e.g. alleges go over the right side and we will
create a curve there. As always, you can hold
your line and the ends. You can adjust it by going
over the top to Edit Shape. You can play around with the curvature and
with everything here. When you are done
adjusting this line, Let's just tap on the screen and we will get underneath it. And manually, we will recolor
the rest of the area. When we aren't done, let us go to the back
part of our Bu and we will manually add the
shadows on the back parts. When we aren't done, let us move on to the next own, Jake, and let's add
the shadow here. So e.g. let's move
on to our bacon. Let's select the color
that we have for this drives the same
way as we used before. We will invoke our
eye dropper tool. And when you hand
the color ledgers go over one of the sides. And let's start by
creating a curve there. Hold your land and
the ends adjust the curvature by going over
the top to Edit Shape. And when you're
satisfied with the line, just go and manually recolor
the rest of the area. If you have some minor
places that you can erase, you can just grab an
eraser tool and erase them because now we are
on the different layer. When we hand the shadow on our
front stripe on the bacon, alleges go to the back one and
let's add the shadow here. We will go to the same side
and we will add our line. Firstly, when you
have the curve, let's manually recolor
the rest of the area. If you want, you can go around the shape or the
bottom to separate two pieces of bacon ends when you are done with
the bacon ledgers, move on to our MC. We will select this pink color
with our Eyedropper Tool, and we will go to one
of the sides and we will start by
creating our curve, as always, play around
with the query tree by going over the
top to aided sheep. When you're satisfied
with the curve, ledgers go increase
the size of our brush and manually recolor
the rest of the area. And the same way as we did
with our bowl ledgers, go to the back areas of our mark and manually,
let's recolor them. If you want to add more shadows, you are welcome to do it when
you're done with the Mac, Let's just move on
to our pancakes. Let's select the color of the
main shape of the pancakes. And firstly, we will
go to the top bar and we will add the shadow
on the bottom of it, again, starting by
creating a curve. If you need to adjust the curve, go over the top to aided sheep. If you have some plays that
you need to recolor manually, just go to this place
and recolor it. When we hand this first shadow, alleges go underneath it and we will add a little
shadow there too, when you're adjusting the
curvature onto these shadow, Let's move on to
the bottom pancake, and let's add the
shadow here too. In the same way, we can select the color of our
plate and we can go underneath our berries and we can add the
shadows underneath that. If he wants to add the
shadows to the berries, you know what you need to do. You will need to select the
same color that they have. And you will need
to go over one of the sides and add
the shadow manually. So now if you want
to add more shadows, go all over the places where you want to
put the shadows on, add them, and when you are done, we are done with our class. Thank you for
