1. Introduction: Hi. Hey. So from Hazel Fisher creations in this class, I'm going to introduce you to crash in and show you had to make a simple cry Shake bracelets. If you've never tried crashing before, I don't know where to start or have tried, but struggled to learn the skill this class is for you. I think that anyone could learn to crash a. I've been crashing for over 10 years, but when I first tried, it didn't go well. What ends up with didn't look anything like it was supposed to, but after bitter practice, I got the hang of it, and I think you can, too. In this class, I'll start by talking a little about the materials you can use for showing you have to start crashing. You'll learn how to make a really simple bracelet with the option of working beats. Busy crushing the basic skills you learn in this class will get you started in creation and help you move on towards more complex projects. Being able to crash A is a really fun skill to have as you could make so many different things like clothes, accessories, things, fear home and toys. So during me, and take your first steps into crash, a
2. Materials: before we start crashing, we need to choose our materials. Some young on approach a hook you'll find that is, a huge range of yarns available to choose from with different thicknesses and textures. But for beginner on recommend, choosing something like a double knit is very thick, very thin. Yarns can be a bit harder to work with. It's also a good idea to choose a smoothie on and something that wasn't loosely twisted, so it doesn't easily split while you work with it for this project, Are we working with a double net cotton on now? Choose a crash, a hook becoming lots of different sizes and different materials like plastic, wooden, bamboo and metal. The most important thing is that you saying it feels comfortable view to hold on work with . I don't really like to use metal hooks, but have somehow is. Use plastic ones, too, to find out what size hook you need. If you look on the label of the on, you'll see that it has recommended needle sizes. A double knit like this one would usually use a four millimeter hook. You can use different sizes, but it will affect her. Your question comes out. A larger hook will make the stitches looser on a smaller hook will make stitches smaller but encourage you to start with the recommended size. But it's also good to experiment. So if you're afraid to try different sizes and see what happens, it's now a trace, not materials. In the next video, we'll show you how to start crashing.
3. Starting to Crochet: to start crashing. First, we're going to make a slip loop. Hold the into the yarn in your left hand, leaving a little tail. Make a loop, pass it over, then under and pull up through to form your first stitch. Then put your kreisher hook through this and pull the on tight. But make sure it can still easily slide on the crash. A hook making a slip look like This is how you'll start most crashing projects. There are different ways to hold the Armani work. The main thing is you want to find a way which feels comfortable for you. I hold the hook in my right hand as I'm right handed, and I have three young rector on my left hand like this over my palm behind and then up through my fingers. You can also have it wrapped around your little finger like this. Whichever way you hold it, you want to make sure that your arm flows easily, but also that you can keep uneven tension while you work in the next video, I'll show you how to start making the bracelet
4. Chain Stitch and Making the Bracelet: the bracelet is my chain stitch. You would use the stitch interest, any crash I project you make. We start with wreck neon around the hook from back to front within Pulis knew it through the first on the hook. Now we just need to repeat this, making more chain stitches for the whole length of the bracelet. Is that simple? One of the reasons why I like this project for beginners is because it's a good way to practice your attention. If you can perfect this with the chain stitch, it will make it a lot easier when you learn other stitches and work on more complex projects. It doesn't take long to crack the length of chain stitches as you can see all of these ditches the same size. This is what you want to aim for. If you find that some of bigger than others, don't worry, it's common when you start out. It just means that you're putting more or less tightly on your young as you work, and you want to try and keep it the same for each stitch. When you think you've made it long enough to go around your hand and wrist will stop to finish. Cut your young, leaving a little tale of a few centimeters. Okay? And then pull the last stitch through to tighten, then to finish your bracelets. Simply tire not joining the ends together like this. You can then trim the ends of your yon. I like to leave a little bit of a tale of mind still, but you can make it shorter or longer. To where? If you prefer really in the next video, we'll show you how you can develop your bracelet. Biting beats is you crashing?
5. How to Add Beads: Now you've learned how to make a simple chain stitch bracelet. I quite like them as they are like this, but you can make a bit more interesting by adding beads as you crushing. You need to choose some beads. I've got a hole large enough for the yarn to pass through, but before we begin to make the bracelet, want to plan out how many beans you want and have to space them? If you take the plane brace that you've just made, you can count how many chain stitches on it. Mine here has 40 chains ditches, so if I want the beads to be spaced nice and evenly around it, I could have seven beads with one every five stitches. You won't find it so so helpful to plan it out on paper first, especially if you've got an odd number of stitches. You'll want to plan or how many beads and where to put them before you start, because you need to threaten them onto the young before crashing. Now you want to thread your beads onto the young. One tip to make this a little bit easier is if you take a small amount of tape and wrap it tightly around the end. The on it will help to stop it from fraying, and you'll find it easier to pass through the beads once you threaded them on, push them right along the arm out of the way for now. So now we're ready to begin crashing again. We'll begin in exactly the same way as we did before making a slip loot on our hook, followed by chain stitches for my bracelet. I'll be doing one bead every five stitches, so make four chains ditches first four, and then we'll take Abate's. I will push it all the way along the yon right up to the hook. Now we'll make another chain stitch. It's a little bit tricky with the bead there, but it's made in exactly the same way as before. And then we'll make another four chain stitches three. And then pass another beat along. Yes, we did for the 1st 1 and make another chain stitch. Then we'll carry this on for the whole length of our bracelet. When you've made enough chain stitches to your bracelet, it should look something like this. We'll finish it in exactly the same wise we did for the bracelet without Bates cutting young with a little tile pulling it through. Then we'll just tie the ends of the young together and trim the ends to finish off your bracelets like this. Now, you know, have a bead to your crush. A bracelet. You comply around different patterns and numbers of baits for different effects. And the final video, I share a few more ideas how you connect the breaks that you are on.
6. Final Thoughts: as you have seen these, a really simple little bracelets they're quite addictive to make, though, and I'm sure that once you've made one, you want to make more. There are lots of race. You can adapt the bracelets from this class to make them your own. You comply around with different colors. Janz invades for different looks. Try making several of the plane bracelets in different colors and stacking them together. To make a lodger. Bracelets use different types of beads and warm bracelet mix and match different Young's. We'll crash a several yards together to make a chunky bracelet. Don't forget to share fractures of the bracelets you make in the project section. I can't wait to see what you make. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below. Thank you for taking my class. I hope that you've enjoyed taking your first steps into crashing. I hope you'll join me again in another class
