We will teach you this beautiful dough from the beginning so that you can enjoy having good. We crochet this cute little one, only using single crochet. And it has simple but useful tips that you will learn during the tutorial. To crochet of horns, ears, arms, and legs, which may come in handy for other dolls as well. Join us now so you can create it with your own artistic hands. 2. 1. Crochet giraffe legs: Hello everyone. We are going to start this giraffe crochet all together. For starters, we have to work the two legs and then into continuous of that, we will work the body on top of it. Alright, in order to do that, first we create a magic ring. Then I work six single crochet inside of this magic ring. Then I is stretched a yarn like this so I can tighten my ring and my ring is smaller than, I'll attach the last stitch that I've worked to my first chain. And in this way, I'm actually working a slip stitch in the next row. First, I work and extra chain. And then inside of each one of these switches from our previous row, I work to single crochet. It means that we have increasing stitches in this row. Okay? Then again, I attached the last stitch to the first chain, which means I work as slip stitch. And then from the third row until the seventh row, we continue working this stitches without any increasing, with the same number of 12 stitches, it means that inside of each stage, we only work one single crochet. Now as you can see, we have worked the two legs of our giraffe. And in the seventh row on the last stitch, I worked three chains. And then I attach the two legs to each other. I work as slip stitch and then like that, my two legs are attached to each other. So now we want to work single crochet on both legs and also on the change that we have in-between them. We should work one single crochet on each single crochet. First, I work on one of the legs completely. Then I get to the chains which are in between the legs and we've worked them. As you can see, we had three chains over here. That even on these three attaching chains, I'm going to work my single crochet. I worked three single crochet on the three chains. And then I'll do the same on the second leg as we did on the previous Lake. I'm going to work single crochet all around it. Okay. Now we've got to this three chains again in between our legs. Now here, again on the other side of the chains, I work a single crochet. Just like that. One of our rows will be completed. Then I work as slippers stitch like this. And just like that, we are actually starting the body of our doll. Well, I should work single crochet and I should work simply for 14 rows. It means that I shouldn't have any increasing or decreasing of a stitches on my rows. I just work a single crochet on each stitch until I get to the top of the buddy. And I would go for decreasing ruse for the shoulders and the neck of our giraffe. 3. 2. Crochet of the giraffe's body and arms: Alright, As you can see, we've worked for 14 rows for the body. We also worked seven rows for the legs. And in one row we actually attach the two legs together. And we've done this round working. And then again, as I said before, we worked for 14 rows, simply for the body. Now into 15th row, I've just got to the center of those three chains that I've used for attaching my legs together. Basically, I'm exactly in the middle line in the center of my dolls body right from here I want to have decreasing a stitches. It means that I work two single crochets together and this way, one stitch will actually be reduced. Okay. So I continue to like get to the back. And then again, right in the center of my doll, again, I would have another decreasing. See. Again, I go to the center of my dolls body and then again, I did next, two stitches together like this. And then I'll continue my row. The next row, again we would have decreasing is stitches. So again, I'm in the central vital in the front and then the back would be the same too. So I've done my working on the sides. Then I go to the center and over here again, I work to single crochet together at the same time to be as one. And then again, I continue my working so I can get to the center of the back and continue this procedure. Okay? There are two previous row in the center of our LDL, in front or in back, we had decreasing stitches. Now in this row, I'm going to work a single crochet, and then I'd be actually working the next two single crochet together. Again. I work one single crochet and then I worked at Next to single crochet together as one. So I just continue the same way till the end of the row so I can have the upper body part of my giraffe. We would have decreasing as stitches and we're actually going to make the neck as well. Okay, so as you can see in the previous row, we had decreasing a stitches that we worked with a single crochet and then we work the second and the third is stitches together as one. And we've continued that till the end of the row. Now, from here on, we are going to work for almost nine rows without any decreasing is stitches. To work. Our giraffe's neck. There's just one hint over here. And it's that before you actually want to start this nine rows without any decreasing messages, you should definitely feel inside of your body. You should complete inside of the legs completely. Also, inside of the body, completely should be filled. Alright, now, for working our dolls hands, we need to first create a magic ring. And inside of it, we are going to work six single crochet. First, I work at chain, and then I start my single crochet. The first chain that I create is actually as a single crochet. It works as a single crochet. Therefore, after that, I should only work five more single crochet and air go altogether, there will be six single crochet. And then I work as slip stitch. I work in extra chain. The beginning of each row, we should work chains as the amount and as the length of the stitches that we are going to work in that row. E.g. if it was a single crochet, one chain, if it was a half double crochet two chain and it was, if it was a double crochet, three chains would be created in the beginning of our. And right now, we should actually increase the stitches of our work. First I work one single crochet. And inside of the next single crochet, I work to single crochet. It means that every other stitch, I'm going to increase the stitches. So again, one single crochet, and in the next stage of work to single crochet, just till the end of your row, you should increase this stitch every other than Atlas, you should work as slippers stitch. Okay, right now we have nine single crochet in the last row. So we're going to continue this nine is stitches from the third row until the 11th through. And we work simply without any increasing and decreasing of stitches. And inside of each stitch, it should work as single crochet. And you should just create two hands, just as same as this one. 4. 3. Crochet horns, and crochet Giraffe's ears: We should actually work to horns for our giraffe, that for our first five rows, I'm going to work with my brown color. And then the next four rows would be with yellow color. First, I create a magic ring and inside of it, I worked five single crochet. First, I work a chain which actually goes as a single crochet. And then after that, I worked for more single crochet. Therefore, all together it would be five single crochet. And I work as slip stitch. And then I work another chain. The beginning of each row, we should work change as the amount and as the length of the stitches that we're going to work in that row. E.g. if it was a single crochet, one chain, if it was a half double crochet two chain and it was, if it was a double crochet, three chains would be created in the beginning of our inside of each stitch, I work to single crochet. This way, the number of our stitches would actually get doubled. And again, we work as slippers stage at the end of the row. Okay, So then after we've got our ten single crochet and we're going to work it for three rows with our brown color. In these three rows, you shouldn't have any increasing or decreasing of the stitches. And inside of each stage you should work one single crochet. I start with my yellow color, then new row still working to single crochet. And then again, almost for four rows. I'm going to continue working with these almost nine stitches. The same way, no increasing and decreasing. So just this way you should create two horns or tentacles for the top of your drafts head. Alright, now here we want to work on our giraffes ears. First, create a magic ring. Inside of our magic ring, we should work six single crochet. First, a chain which actually goes by single crochet. And then after dad, five more single crochet altogether, six. After I've done that, I stretched my yarn and then I work as slip stitch. Over here, I work at chain and single crochet. And then inside of our next stage, we work to single crochet. I worked in next two stitches, simply means that inside of each one of them, I work one single crochet. But then again, I work to single crochet in one stitch. And then again for the next two, we will work simply. Then we work as slip stitch. Okay. I work at chain. And in this row, I work simply for all the stitches. I do not have any increasing as stitches in this row. Then I work as slippers stitch. Then for the fourth row, I work at chain. I work a single crochet. And then in the next one, I were to single crochet. Then again, you should actually work three stitches simply. It means that in each one of them, you should only work one single crochet. Then inside of the fourth is sich, you should work to single crochet. Again, three, single crochet would be worked simply. And inside of the last stitch, I work to single crochet. And then I work as slippers stitch. As you can see, this is my giraffes ear and it got bigger. And as you can see, it's actually the stitches were increased on both coroners and it actually got wider. Now, I'm going to continue these stitches and work on them for almost four rows without any increasing. And I'm going to work them simply for four rows. Then in the ninth row of our ear, we have a decreasing rho. I work a single crochet that I worked at the second and the third stitches together. And I continue the same way till the end of the row. So we work one single crochet, and then we work the second and the third single crochet together. This way we have a decreasing rho. 5. 4. Crochet Giraffe head: Now for our giraffe's head, I'm going to start with my brown color. Again. I work a magic ring. I create a magic ring inside of it. I worked six single crochet. And then I work a slip stitch after tightening the ring in the second row. Inside of each one of the stitches of my previous and first row, I should work to single crochet. So we actually have increasing, the stitches are six stitches would be doubled and would be 12 is stitches at the end of this row. Again, I work as slip stitch at last, and then in the third row I work at chain and then one single crochet inside of the next stitch. And in the next stitch I work to single crochet. It means that every other stitch, I actually add an increase, one single crochet and one stage to the whole work. I continue the same way till the end of the row. Now in the fourth row, each one of the two first two stitches will have one single crochet worked inside of them. And in the third is stitch. I work to single crochet. And then I'll continue the same way until the end of this row. Fifth row, we work a single crochet in the first three stitches. And then in the fourth stitch, I work to single crochet. Again. Inside of the next three stitches, I work only one single crochet in each one of them. And on the fourth stitch, you will have an increasing usage with me, which means that two single crochets inside one stitch then continue like that till the end of the row and the sixth row single crochet would be worked inside of each one of the four first stitches. And inside of the fifth stitch, I work to single crochet means that I have one increasing. Again. For single crochet will be worked into fifth stitch. I'll have to single crochet. I'll continue this till the end of this SRA as well. Then for the seventh, eighth, ninth, and 10th rows, it means for four rows, you should continue without any increasing. Until the sixth row we had increasing citrus. And then after that, we should work for rows simply without any increasing. And we would have 36 is stitches at the end as well. Then we start the new row with our yellow color. We work five single crochet. And then inside of this sixth stitch, I work two single crochets means that again we have an increasing in this row until the end of the row, we work single crochet on five is stitches. And then in the sixth stitch we work to single crochet. Alright, after the first row that you've worked with your yellow color and you had increasing of stitches, you should work three rows, simply, in these three rows, we don't have any increasing is stitches. Now we are in the 19th row of our faces work or better say, our heads work in this row. First, we should actually work six single crochet, and then the seventh and eighth stitch will be worked together from this row on, our decreasing stitches will actually start. So as you can see, I am working six single crochet simply. And then I worked the seventh and eighth stitch together as one. I'll continue this till the end of this row as well. Then the next two rows, it means the 20th and 21st row will be worked simply. We won't have any decreasing or increasing. 6. 5. Completing the giraffe's head: Okay. I've done my two rows of work simply and now we are in the next row. In the first five is stitches. We work five single crochet, one in each. And then after that, again we have a decreasing stitch. It means that I work the sixth and the seventh is stitches together will continue like this till the end of the row. So the first five is stitches will be worked simply. And then the sixth and the seventh is stitches will be worked together. And then the next row would be worked simply without any decreasing inside of each stitch, I work one single crochet and an extra. Okay, I've also finished my simple row. And then in the next row, as you can see, I worked for single crochet, simply du fifth and the sixth is stitches will be work together as one. So again, I repeat, I worked for single crochet simply, and then I worked a fifth and a six, a stitches together as one. So continue like that until the end of the row. And then again, the next row will be worked simply inside of each stitch. You should work only one single crochet. Okay, Now, before you continue from here on, you should make sure that you feel inside of your heads with your fibers and then you'll be able to do your working better. So once you have this wide opening, you should place your fibers inside of your doll's head. Okay, now instead, in the last row inside of the first three stitches, inside each one of them, we work one single crochet. And then the fourth and a fifth, a stitches will be worked together. We'll continue the same way till the end of the row. The next row, I work two single crochets simply. And then I worked a third. And the fourth is stitches together. And then I'll continue like that until the end of the row. Again. In the next row, I work only one single crochet, and then I worked the second and the third is stitch together. Well in this row, if you see that inside of your head, you still have some empty places and you can feel it more. In this row. You should completely fill inside of your head and you should not leave any parts of your head empty. Then in our last row we work all of our stitches two by two. It means that I work the first and the second stitch together. The third and fourth is stitched together. So I work all the two stitches next to each other together. 7. 6. Crochet of giraffe polka-dot: Okay, now, giraffes body, we can see some polka dots. So they look like brown spots. And we want to show them on our work as well. So we create a magic ring. Then inside of our magic ring, we work six or eight single crochet. Well, if you want these spots to be smaller, we work six single crochet inside of our ring. And if you want to, you want them to be bigger. You work eight single crochet inside of your magic ring. Right now, I work six single crochet inside of my magic ring. And then I work a slip stitch after closing up my ring. Now I want this ring and this circle to get bigger a little. So in the next row, I work as single crochet. And in the next stage I work to single crochet. Again, one single crochet, and then the next stage to single crochet will be worked. So just like that, you'll make your circle a bit bigger. Then at last, I work as slip stitch again. Now you can create and work as many of these spots as you want, e.g. 5610, how many ever you want, and then you can actually work them in different sizes and place them on your dolls body. If I continue this for one more row, the size of this spot will be bigger. So you should work several one of them's with different sizes. 8. 7. Attaching the body parts of the giraffe together: Okay, now after we've done all the parts of our giraffes body, now it's time to attach these body parts to each other and to the body. Okay. We've got two arms, two tentacles and horns, two ears. That the arms should be attached. Over here on the side of the body. It means this area. We should put the horns over here like this at the top of the head. And the ears would actually go on this side of the head. You should actually sue all the body parts on your body, very strict and rigid. Now, first we want to sue the arms, the size of the body. As you can see, I've put the edges of my work together and on each other. And you should place the arm right next to the side of the body. And just be careful that both arms should be sued on the same row and with the same yarn color that you've used for your giraffe. The two horns would go over here at the top of the head and you should sue them here. And as I said before, the ears would go next to the horns and tentacles and on the side of the head. So first, you should follow the ears from the middle like this, and then you should sue this area and then you can apply it on the side of the head. Before we attach a doll's head into its body, we should place this area, the last row that we had for the neck on each other should put the edge on each other and we should. So it's two. So as you can see, after r, So the edges of the neck, and I've put it together, I can place the head on the neck. We can do this either with a heat glue or we can sue it as well. Just remember, put the head on the neck in a way that the brown part and the bottom part of the face, who's actually going to face downward, a little, should look like this. So late are the eyes and the ears would be seen better. So you can do you're suing on the second or on the third row of the start of your yellow color. You can even try this several times so you see which row is better for you for suing. And you say, I'll turn it so you can see the back of the head clearly, I will put the neck over here on the second or the third row of my yellow color. Now you can see I've done my ceiling and I've attached ahead to the neck now because I want the head to be completely fixed on the body. And we can see the face. You should glue this area completely down. You should fix some on each other. So the head would be totally facing down. So we've attached the body parts to our giraffe. We also attach these brown spots that we've already worked. We've attached them with the heat glue. Or you can even use your brown thread or brown yarn to do some stitches and SUID to the body. Now, just as an example, I want to show you how you can sue your ear to the head and the rest of the body parts are actually going to be attached to the body or to the head, the exact same way. So I'm just going to do one as an example for you. Okay? As I said before, before you want to attach the ear to the head, you should fold it in the middle so it will get a better shape and sue it with the yellow color, with the same color as reviews for our giraffe. We do are suing, do it several times. So it would be firm totally. And it would look like this. Now, we should attach to ear right next to these horns or tentacles. So it would be attached like this, which I'm going to do for you right now. I've considered this area. If you want to consider distance between the ears and the horns, almost half a centimeter is okay. Then you should pull your yarn. So it would be tight enough for attaching the body parts to the body or two ahead, as you can see. I've passed my needle through the body once. And the next one, we'll go through the ear itself. So both parts would actually be attached to each other. See, I'll do the same thing for this lower part of the ear. Slipped. And you should do it several times. So your ear will be attached to your head firmly. When you work the body parts separately, you should actually attach them to your dual, very strong and firm. So when your kids and when the children are playing with them, they will not come off easily and they won't be loose. Even. They can put them in their mouth and nothing will happen to them. So I recommend to you that you use your needle and sue it instead of using the heat glue that will deem more firm. Now, you can also do something that the ear of our LDL, I should be Elizabeth, tilted downwards. So after we've attached our ear to our LDL completely, we can consider half a centimeter down and then attach it to the head again. You should actually tilt the ear downward toward the head a little. And then due to suing on the head as well, do it several times. So it would be firm and strong. And ear would be tilted downward a little toward the head. So this way, our LDL is complete. For the eyes. I've used to lack beats. And you should apply this over here. Over the brown area. You can consider the first row above the brown area and attach your eyes to the face with a heat glue with a distance of three or four stitches. By the way, if you're satisfied with this tutorial, you should definitely read us. This would help us in providing and improving our courses and better tutorials.
