1. Welcome!: Hey there. My name is Patricia Color, and I'm a graphic designer and artist said Don't worry. I create digital illustrations and graphics for different clients, ranging anything from characters and animals to designing logos and user interfaces. For this class, I was teaching you how to draw. Ears and noses will be going through easy to follow steps so you can follow along and try different ways to approach this special features. Here's a nose is a pretty fun to draw, and they are very useful. Sister Grand Majority off Curtis have this features. So at the end of this class, you'll be drawing them in different positions like a pro. So let's just get into it and I'll catch you in the class.
2. Types of Ears: So let's fell quickly about what will be covering for years in the class. There are three basic types and will focus on these. The narrow use are usually small, horizontally but long as if it's being compressed from the size. It's measure Lee Oval like an ellipse with Iran. With gardeners, the wrong years are as the name Della's wrong. Take a circle shape and usually are thicker and wider. Then we have the point of view. This one is ready to see on people. It has a dramatic shape, which rather corners but slightly less round in the r o E. As far as weeks, it tests something in between the narrow and round. These are the ones will be covering. But there are many possibilities by mixing matching types of years, since every person is different. All right, so that's the body toward tops. Off years. Let's move on to the next video
3. Head Reference!: Hello there. We are now going to start our lesson. But first, we're going to make some head guidelines that will be very useful throughout the whole class. I'll be also including a downloadable copy off this in case you don't want to do them yourself. But the house suggests that you do them s practice. So let's start with the side position. We're going to start with a circle, and now we're going to divide this circle horizontally and vertically. Now we make a vertical line straight down here and connect it here. This is our jawline. Now let's add the nose here. And this little car between the nose and the IRA where the eyes are do you will be from the iro, the tip of the nose in height. So make a horizontal line where the iro is and you already have the line from the notes. Let's just make a neck. So it looks a bit more human. So we're going now to draw a front view. First of all, let's try to do this circle about the same size and since we're doing everything in the same places, that's just continue the lines from a previous head reference. Don't forget to switch ahead, particularly as well. - Now the jaw line will start a bit more inside of the circle like this and the same on the other side. Now joined them up in the bottom and, you know, wasting extra line. So it's much us to our previous conference like this, and there we go, just at some necklines here, and we're good to go.
4. Narrow Ears: now we're going to draw are actually here. So let's start with the shapes. Something really simple. Just a straight line from the top off the iro duty, bottlenose like this, then a nice curve. A room. That's not some details to the side of the year. Keep the lines loose with the house circle for the trackers part off the year. Don't worry if it isn't perfect. This is just a rough preference and will keep cleaning the lines up. Now let's just do some sketching ones, blocking the details in for a narrow You. We keep everything pretty close together with somewhat curved lines like it's being compressed towards the center. All right, so now let's go in everything up with some clean lines, keep them very loose and try to do most off them in a smooth, long life. - Finally , let's add some recovers because ever skin tone you prefer and go with it, add it as a base collar in a darker shade for the shadows. Lovely. Now let's go for the front facing here. So here we start with a straight line from the IRA to the tip of the nose in the long Curth to make the overall shape of the year. Keep it to be ClA, Jered on the top and tenor at the bottom, now sketchy on details in like this very loose lines. Don't worry about being a perfectionist here, and finally, the clean lines keep them long and try to do them with a little strokes as you can. Now we just need to add the colors as before and we're done. So there we go. We have a narrow ear done. Feel free to practices as many times as you need until you get it just as right as you want and next joining me so we can do some around years, See you in a bit.
5. Round Ears: Hello again and welcome toward Plus. So now we're going to learn how to draw around years. These ones are pretty much the opposite off the previous ones with it. So instead of going 14 narrow and small, we're going for something big, round and very thick. So we have a references before just start with destroyed vertical line like this, and the beakers line from top to bottom, almost like a full circle and then a smaller quarter circle in the bottom for the year low . All right, Nice. So at another half circle for the year drag wish and then another car for the ill acceptable. So now let's start with the scheduling. The small infest lies. That's okay, since it doesn't need to be perfect right now at some details and keep some space between them, so it looks very thick. Now let's to our final clean lines this time, though long blinds with Israel strokes as you can keep going until you're happy with it. - Now , just choose a skin tone and printed in along with the shadows. - All right, so let's go for the front facing head. In this position, it's hard to see the year. But there's always things we can do. For example, there are a lot of people that have to hear more towards the front so we can do something like that. Big curved lines run very loose like so Now let's do some sketch aligns with Pete Ardito and now our final clean lines, very loose with long strokes. Lovely. Now just at the vice collars in along with the shadows and there we go round to use. So practice them as much as you like and follow me to the next video, but we're going to tackle some 0.2 years.
6. Pointy Ears: All right, so let's go in. Make some 0.2 years now, this one's are very angular and straight. So let's get started. Has always start by making a new layer and use a lighter pencil to sketch the layout straight line as always, and then make sort of a triangle shaped like this. The general shape is like the narrow year, but point your and more angular way to go. Now let's make some scheduling, trying to run the points a little bit so they don't look too strange. Kind of lucky. Hope it here. - Now let's going up the lines. Try to make smooth, long lines. Something between pointy Enron. That's That's Ricky. Take your time until you're happy with the results. Finally, let's add some color to the choose a skin tone and start painting. This is usually a pretty relaxing or even therapeutic thing for me to do, so just take your time feeling this shape slowly and then she's a darker shape for the shadows nicely. Then let's just increases a beats. Yeah, there we go now for the front view. Once again, it's first simple, like the previous one, since you can see much of it for the shape. Start with the vertical line for the bass off the years, and then the angler pointy lines around for the rest of the shape. Again, Don't worry too much if it isn't perfect. This is just a reference space now, with the sketchy lines at the details and wrong things up. And now we know two previous lines with smooth long lines. 40 year olds That looks nice. That's no at some color to it. Just pick the colors from before and start coloring them in. Don't forget the shed. So there we go. We've not finished the point use. I hope you enjoyed it practices a few times and join me in the next video.
7. Types of Noses: Now let's talk about noses. We'll be governed through mine archetypes. Firstly, that is. The square knows this one is usually very angler. It's a good fit for a strong willed character or even a snob. Although then those itself is usually pretty large in size. The national tends to be quite small. Then we have the round nose. This is a very opposite off the previous one. It's very circular and wobbly. You have a lot of freedom with the steps off numbs. Just get the lines very smooth and long. No heart corners. Finally, we have the pointy nose. This is also very angler as a square one, but with harsh corners and the very pointed tip. This is a nice feet for villain characters. All right, that's it for the types of noses. So let's get our hands 30 and start drawing
8. Square Nose: hello and welcome way are finished with the years and are now going to start with the noses . The 1st 1 will be the square knows. So we have our guidelines here and make a new layer. Let's start with the shapes. This nose is all about straight lines and overall, being very bold. First of all, let's make in anger Nose bridge. Bigger than we have for the head reference. And let's keep going with the angler lines for the general shape like this. Keep the lines very straight. All right, so now let's do some sketchy lines, so they tell it a bit more. And don't forget to add the nostril. Now let's just go in everything, keeping the lines long and smooth. You can run the Lanza beat, but keep them mostly anger. - All right, there's our nose, so let's collard very quickly. Grab a skins on and just 20 inside of it now, because darker shade for the shadows and that's some basic shadows. In our case, it's like the light is coming from the lift. All right, so now let's do a front facing position. First, let's start with our shapes. It's very rectangle. Do in almost square shape for the top off the nose near the ice and then make of was like shape below. It looks almost like a tie now at the nostrils on the sites, and that's pretty much it for the boys reference line. Let's go for the sketch your life. Let's make it a bit more straight, like a big tangle of it's all about the straight line. So keep going until you're happy with the sketch. Now for the clean lines, keep them long and with mostly straight corners as before. If you're on the computer and want to keep it super symmetrical, you can draw helpful, thin those duplicates and mirrors. But I suggest to draw it all, since it helps to practice and mixing those with more human like since most noses are perfectly symmetrical, it'll once you're done just collard like before by scholars first and then the shadows. - So there we have our square noses, very simple, a geometrical all about the straight line. So just experiment a few times, explore the possibilities and have fun doing so
9. Round Nose: welcome, but we're not going to the second type of nose in this class, which is around those. It's also really big kind of notes, like the previous one. But this time it's all about the curved lines and curved shapes. So let's start as always with our shapes. So first, let's make a big circle on the tube a bit more flat below, so it doesn't look like a perfect circle, then a smaller circle for the nostril and the cursed line for the bridge of the nose. Nice. Now let's go for our sketch. Keep everything very loose. It's all about curves and counter cards. And don't forget the nostrils. You can do them as we are, a small as you want. If you'd like to do a more cartoonish style, The trick is to exaggerate a lot on the features Now, for the clean lines. Make them very long with this few strokes as possible. Since it's around those, it's all about smooth long lines. All right, so now, because skin tone and Renteria don't forget to add some shadows as well. Lovely. Now let's do the front facing knows. It's also very simple and all about the circle of shapes. Start with a big circle in the middle for the large tube. You can do this with a brush, or you can use a circle. So in the software, if you're doing this traditional way just to circle your pencil or pen, then at two circles on each side for the nostrils like this now we can sketch uto, keep the lines loose and try to the tail of the doctor knows Okay. Now for the clean lines, let's try the symmetrical approach. Just throw helpful than those like this not just selected. Come to it. It's GOP. Then it it again and based. Finally go to eat it, transform and flip horizontal. Then it just need to move to the side so it matches again. This is just if you're looking for a more symmetrical approach. If you're doing this traditionally, you won't be ableto but you to look more organic, so choose your preferred way. Now let's go for the colors. Paint the base. Don't worry, fits outside the lights itself skin so it doesn't matter. And then at the sheds, like before. Our like this coming from the right. So most off the shed was sit on the lift. All right, That's about it. Keep practicing until you happy with the results. I'll see you in the next sweetie.
10. Pointy Nose: All right, let's go to the pointy nose. 20 noses are similar to the square ones. Sits has a lot of straight lines, but it's much thinner than the other two. We might so far. So let's start with our shapes. As always, we can make a symbol of shape to the ones who have another guidelines, a triangular shape and then at the smaller triangle to the teeth and another more to the rights for the nostril. Lovely. Now let's go for our sketch. Let's join these lines a bit. Cars, but not too much. And keep going with the nostril there now for the clean lines gift of flows, steady long lines with a very pointy teeth. Good job. Not because skin tone and fill it in and finally, at some shadows, all right, so now for the front view, we do the base shapes. Start with the diamond shape, which straight smaller triangles for the nostrils. Now for the sketch stop roughing things out and adding details for our final lines keep them mostly straight. Yes, this is a very pointy nose. Feel free to think the sharpness off the corners to your taste. Good. Now let's paint it again. Don't. Or if you point outside the lines since its old skin Now, just add the shadows. Good job that suits for our pointy nose.
11. Assignment: Hey, everyone, great job falling with the glass. Now I'm just going to talk about the class assignment, and I really hope to see your project below. Don't be afraid to post it. It's a pleasure to see your progress. So for the glass assignment, here are the very simple steps. Don't know the attachment with ahead reference or just make your own. Now choose the type of years you can make some match any type of senior class, maybe some narrow years, but super pointing experiments. How much you'd like then choose the type of nose much different ones or just used one We've done in class. Finally, just draw them in the head reference. Don't forget to post and below. I'm eager to see your results. I'll catch you on the beat where we're going through a quick conclusion off the class
12. Conclusion: well done. You just reached the end of my course. I hope you've been following along with their own drawings and have been enjoying the course.
