1. Hello & Welcome!: Hi there and a very warm welcome to create your dream
morning ritual. I am so excited to have
you here because creating my own morning ritual
completely changed my life and I really hope it
will be the same for you. I'm Christina and
I'm an entrepreneur and I found it a couple
of different businesses. My first one was Kikee k, which is a globally
loves stationery brand that I started from scratch. I have now a new business
called dream life. And this is where I create tools and things for you to
create your dream life. My dream is to inspire 101 million people to write down three dreams and
then go and chase them. So in the dream life store.com, where you create beautiful
products to help you and support you to
create your dream life, whatever that is for you. And then I also do coaching. I have a twelv month personal
growth coaching program. I also have a book club and
I have a habit of club, and I have a female
entrepreneur mastermind. And that leaves on your
dream that starts here.com. If you want to check that out. The reason for being able to do all the things that I'm
doing today is because I have a beautiful
morning ritual that gets me so clear on what
is important to me. And that is why I've
recorded this workshop because I feel like I can share all the things that I
learned over the years to help you create your
morning ritual. I can't wait to share
everything that I've learned. So let's get started. I want you to print
out the workbook, but if you aren't able to, you can just grab a
journal and a pen. And I'm going to share the screen so you
can follow along.
2. Why Create an Inspiring Morning Ritual?: So let's get started. Life begins each morning. I love this quote because
sometimes life throws us a cobol or some
challenges that's just part of living the
life really get to live. But it's really
important to remember that last begins each morning. So it doesn't matter
what happened yesterday or the last 12 months
or the last five years. You can start a new
beginning each morning. And that is the beauty to really create a morning ritual
that works for you. There's another quote
that I absolutely love. Why sometimes I've learned as many as six impossible
things before breakfast. It's a beautiful Alice
in Wonderland quote. And that is actually me. Sometimes I get so inspired and so excited when I
start my morning in the most inspiring way for me that I often think that I can do anything and I really
hope that you will feel the same after
doing this workshop. Something that I do. All my workshops and all my courses and coaching
is to start with why, why are you creating an
inspiring morning ritual? I would like to for you to write down whatever comes to mind. Some of you might want to
start a day on your terms and actually feel
like you are in the driver's seat
of your own life. Just start the morning
the way you want to work on you before you
work on anyone else. Some of you might feel a bit overwhelmed and
feel like you can't really cope with the
stresses of your day. So maybe this is a
chance for you to do some mindfulness,
maybe some meditation, maybe some walk in nature
to really feel like you are in control of the day before
it gets too overwhelming. Maybe you got so much
things that you want to do. You might have some
dreams and goals that you wanted to may happen, but don't really feel
like you have the time because there are other
priorities like working or looking at the family or parents or whatever
that might be for you. So you might feel that
you want to work on your dreams and goals
before you start today. There are so many different
Y for each abuse. So just write down whatever
comes to mind for you.
3. Reflect on Your Current Morning Routine: What to Keep?: All of us really have a
morning ritual already or a routine that we might
not even be conscious on. Some, most of us have a
similar routine each morning. So I want you to think about what your normal routine
looks like for you right now. What time do you normally
wake up most of the time, write that down and
then write down everything that you do on
your morning at the moment. So this might be
that you exercise. It might be that you
doing something specific. Maybe you go and grab a
coffee straight away. Maybe often you feel stressed
and feel like the morning is rushed and you're
not feeling like that is your best
start of the day. So have a think about what
you're doing and when you are doing all the things
that you do in your morning routine
as it is right now. Then I want you to
circle what you want to preserve in your
current routine. There will be some
things that you love doing and that
you want to keep. So circle all of that. And then I wanted to strike out, but you'd like to change. This might be that you no
longer want to feel rushed. It might mean that you want to change the time you
get up, et cetera. So there might be some things that you want to strike out and no longer have part of
your morning routine. So just cross that out.
4. A Dreaming Exercise: Your Dream Morning: Now we are going to focus
on your dream morning, which is really exciting. And I'm going to start by really thinking outside the square. If you could do anything, if you could have
whatever morning ritual that you can imagine, what would that
look like for you? And the reason for doing this, this is something I do in the
dream life course as well. Because sometimes we
are just so setting our own way that we can
think outside the square. So I'm going to ask you
some questions that might make you think outside the square and that
is the whole idea. It does not mean
that you have to implement everything,
especially not straightaway. But I want you to really
think about if you could have your perfect morning, Rachel, what would
that look like? Let's start with in
your dream morning. But would you do if you
knew you couldn't fail? So e.g. this could
mean that you want to have more than 2 h e.g. maybe that means
that you wanna do all the things that you always wanted to
do in the morning. Maybe go out for
breakfast and maybe fitting some movement
for your body. Maybe you want to go
for walk outside. Maybe you want to
do some reading. Maybe you've wanted to have
breakfast with your family. It could be whatever
comes to mind for you, but you can also do things like working on your
dreams and goals. So you will actually achieve all the dreams and goals
that you have written down. Then I want you to imagine
that you could have whatever time is needed
for your morning ritual. What would you do if you had all the time you need to
do whatever you want. So maybe again, this could
mean that you want to, want to have a few hours
for your morning ritual. There is one person that I see all the time
if my local cafe, she starts at 07:00 A.M.
and he sits there for 2 h to work on her content, on her things that she
teaches to her students. I always get so inspired when I see her
doing that because it's something that I can't
currently do it at 07:00 because I have children, but it's something that
I really would love to do more of that when
I've got some more time. So I want you to
think about, even if you think you can't do it now, write it down anyway. So why would you do if
you had all the time, maybe you would exercise, maybe you would meditate, maybe you would cook
a healthy breakfast. Maybe you will study something. It could be so many things. So take your time
to write that down. Then I want you to imagine
that you could do anything in the morning based on having
all the money you need. E.g. you might want to do a course that you
currently can't afford. Perhaps, maybe you
want to go for a coffee or breakfast every morning and don't feel like
you have the money for it. I want you to imagine
these because I don't want money to stop you creating your dream
life mourning ritual. So this is just an exercise
to get you thinking outside and not stopping you because
maybe money is one of those. And then I want you to
imagine that you have your health and the energy you need to create
your morning ritual. That might not be
the case currently, you might not have the
perfect health and you might not have the
perfect energy. Maybe are lacking some energy
because of sleep, etc. We can deal with all
that in a minute. But I want you to imagine
that you have the health and the energy you need to do whatever you want
in the morning. So e.g. if you had all
the energy you need, maybe you would exercise, maybe you would go for a run, maybe you would write a
book or start a podcast or start a YouTube channel
can be whatever you want if you have
the energy to do that. And maybe also think about
what time would you get up if you had all the
health and energy and had a best possible sleep.
5. Start Drafting Your Ideal Morning: Now we are going to think
about your ideal morning. What time would you get up if you could have your
ideal morning? So this will be
different for everyone. Some would be saying 05:00, some will say even
earlier than that. Some people might
say 07:00, 09:00. It does not matter. It needs to work for you. So don't overthink
these in terms of our really should get up at
five or six or whatever. Just work out what works for you and what you ideally
want to make happen. And then I want you to think
about your ideal morning. Do you want to feel? I know that I want to feel
really invested and also wanted
to see and really excited to start
my morning ritual. So how do you want to feel? Maybe you want to feel calm, make me want to feel excited. Maybe you want to feel
enthusiastic on the things that you have in front
of you when you wake up. And then I want you to
think about what you ideally would like to
do in the morning. So these can range from a
lot of different things. So write down whatever
comes to mind for you. Now, I'm going to share some ideas for your morning
ritual in a minute. But for now I just
want you to think about what comes
to mind for you. Maybe there are some
learning involved. Maybe there's some
movement for your body. Maybe there are some meditation, maybe they're awesome, good coffee or tea or your
favorite beverage. Maybe there's some
healthy breakfast, maybe there are
some family time, maybe there are
some other things that you really want to do. So just write down
everything you would like to do in your
morning ritual. Then I want you to think about
if you could do all this, how much time would you
ideally need to fit it all in? Just five down, whatever
comes to mind. So e.g. I. Like to have just 2/2
hours for my morning ritual. But remember, I have tried
so many different things. I've done anything from
half an hour to 3 h. So for me, my ideal time
is about 2 h and 15 min, but it does not mean that I
do it every single morning. I'm just like you have
things coming out and if I'm not sleeping well
I won't be doing it, etc. So just think about ideally, how much time would you
love to have if you could create your
ideal morning ritual? And again, I just wanted
to remind you that this can be changed at any time. So we all have
different seasons in life in terms of we
might go through a really challenging time
with works relationships or you might be refilling some sadness because
you lost someone, etc. It could also be
that you're starting a new job or a new business, which means that you are in a
completely different season or you might have done kids. So I just want you to imagine that this is just a beginning. You can change your morning
ritual at any given time. And I always review my
morning ritual every quarter because there might be some new things
that I want to add. If you are a
frequent listener to my podcasts, you dream life. You know that I always ask my guests what they
mourning ritual is because I voice gets so inspired hearing what other people are
doing in the morning. And if there's something that I feel love to try that I try it. And if it works
for me, I keep it. If it doesn't, then
that was a great trial. So I want that to be the same
for you. Try some things. And if it works, amazing, if it doesn't, then you
just won't do it anymore. So nothing, what you're
doing here is set in stone. So just remember that because sometimes we want it to be so perfect that we want to be
able to do it for a lifetime. But life is not like that. It changes and you might be traveling and you might be doing something
completely different. So just keep that in
mind that it needs to be flexible and you can
change it in a given time. That's why I want you just to create whatever
feels right for you right now and then you can change it when your life change.
6. Inspiring Ideas for You to Consider: Now I'm going to share
some ideas that you might want to try for
your own morning ritual. So let's get started. As soon as you wake up. Here are some things
that you could consider. Five deep breaths or any kind
of deep breathing exercise. There are so many great ones
and there's so much research saying that breathing can
really help in terms of u, or anxiety and stress, etc. I always start the first
thing before even get out of bed doing five deep breath. I actually combine my
gratitude practice with my deep breathing. So that's something you could do or you can just wake
up and think about one thing makes you
grateful to be alive today. And another thing
you could do is say an inspiring information out loud or maybe a favorite quotes that you have that
you want to live by. You can also setting the
intention for the day. So e.g. if you have a
really full day ahead, you could just set the
intention that I'm going to be really com today. If you have something really exciting and something you
really want to make happen, maybe the intention of the day is to really believed
that you can do it. Then you can read your
life vision statement. If you have one of those, maybe you have a sheet or a journal full of your
goals and dreams. Reading them will make you really clear on what's
important to you. Another thing that you
can do when you wake up is to drink lemon water. This is something
I do wherever I am in the world that
always start my day. We're drinking lemon water. Another thing you
could do is take a cold shower or if you have
an iPad, that's amazing. Or if you swim in the ocean, obviously, whatever
works for you. Another thing you
could do is light some candles and maybe
burn some incense. This is something I do
every single morning. So you could do some stretching. Does it start moving your
body as soon as you get up? And another great
thing is to make your bed as soon as you wake up. Then I want to move
on to Germany. Germany had such an
impact on my life and I could actually do a whole
different class on Germany. But for today, I wanted just to maybe try some things if
that sounds exciting to you. And one thing that I
do is morning pages, which is writing whatever
comes to mind for three pages. This is something that has
helped me so much dealing with everything instead of having on the things that I'm
thinking about in my head, I actually put it all on paper. At the same time
when I'm doing this, I have so many insights and
so many thoughts and ideas. I actually have another
journal next to me that I actually kept because
the morning pages I actually do not keep. But then obviously there is 1 million ways of
doing journaling. So do something
that works for you. One of the things that we have created in the dream
knife store is a morning ritual
journal with prompt because not everyone wants
to do freehand journaling. So that is something you could look into if you wanted to. Another thing you can
do is plan the day. It's a great feeling to start
today by planning your day. And I'm now another
thing in terms of journaling is to have a gratitude journal and really write down three things
that you're grateful for. Then we're gonna
move on to learning. I believe it's such a
beautiful opportunity to do some learning
each morning it, and it's amazing how much you can learn if you do it
every single morning, it might not feel like
it's enough just to spend maybe 5 min or up to
half an hour learning. But if you do that
every single day, it all adds up. So maybe you want
to read a book, few pages in a book, or listen to an audio book. Maybe you want to listen
to an inspiring podcasts. And obviously there are a
podcast for everything. So you can basically learn
anything from podcasts. It's amazing. You can also do a
course or a workshop, or maybe even a degree by just staying in
bed each morning. And also you can
study your craft. So e.g. if you are
a salesperson, you might want to add
some knowledge and new skills to that to become
even better in your field. But it can also be crafted
in terms of a hobby. So you might want to
start painting or doing illustration or knitting. What makes you
excited to get out? Another thing to consider in the morning is to get moving. So I'm just going to
share a few things that you can think
about for that. And that is to do
some stretching. There is so much research on how important it is
to do stretching. So that could be something
you wanted to add. You can go for a walk. This is something that I do
every single morning. I absolutely love
starting today, going out in nature. You can obviously
go for a run and I do that sometimes as well. You can do some yoga, you can do some Pilates, maybe go to the gym
or join a gym class, go for a bike ride, or join a class on
YouTube or in an app. There's so many different
way to move your body. So just choose one
that you want to try for your morning
ritual at the moment. And then you might
want to consider doing some kind of mindfulness. So that could mean meditation, maybe a coffee or
tea in silence. This is something that I do, so I have a five-minute
coffee just in silence, and I just love it. It doesn't seem like it's
going to be life-changing, but it's something
really amazing. Just sitting for 5 min
without your phone, without having
anything to do and actually just savor the coffee. So maybe have a try at bat. You can do some journaling, listening to soft music
or your favorite music. And you can also
ponder a quote of the day to really get you
into that frame of mind. Then there are a
few things that you can remember each morning. That is, who do
you want to be and who do you no longer want to be? How do you want to feel and
how do you not want to feel? I didn't want to behave. And how do you not
want to behave? And how do you want to walk in? How do you want to talk? And what are your dreams
and goals for this week, this month, this quarter, this year, or even
for your life. Remember all those
things makes it so much easier to know what is important to you and to
be really able to focus on your dreams and goals
that is important to use. So remembering these things
is a really good thing. Here are some things
that you might want to consider doing in
your morning ritual. So one thing is tidying up. So these could be the kitchen, the bedroom, the bathroom, just makes you feel
so much better, returning it to that space. Another thing that you might
want to do is plan the day. So what are the top three things that you want to get
done today and have a really good thinking about
what is going to make you feel really amazing at
the end of the day, if you did this, the top three things. And then you could
also plan the week, the month or quarter or a year. And I always feel like you
are ahead of the game and to feel clarity on what's
important to you. And then we got to breakfast. So maybe have a coffee or a tea and make it
a special ritual. Maybe drink a smoothie, maybe it's your
favorite breakfast, and maybe you want to take
some supplements as well. So this is the eating and
drinking part of your morning.
7. The Ideal Morning Ritual Starts the Night Before: A beautiful morning rituals
starts the night before. So that is what we're
going to talk about now, I want you to imagine that you can have
your ideal evening. I know that it's so
much harder to create a nitrogen or an evening ritual
versus a morning ritual. Because the morning,
if you get up before everyone
else in your home, then you are less likely
to be interrupted. But in the evening, it's so much easier
to be drafted, but it's also many
more things to do. So you could go out for dinner, you can have people around. And if you've got kids, that might be things
that you need to do. So an evenly ritual
is much, much harder, but I want you to imagine
that you could have an ideal knight or ritual and really think
about what that means. It does not mean that you have to have it every single night. So I have my ideally one, but it's no way that I can practice that
every single night. But if I can do it
a few times a week, and once you get so excited
about your morning ritual, it's so much easier to stick to a night ritual and actually
prioritizing that, but that might take
you a little while. So let's just start with our ideal evening ritual and then you can
see how many times you can do that per week. But be kind to yourself
and know that this is not possible to do every single
night in my experience. So imagine that you can have
your idea nitrate Joel, and think about what time
do you want to have dinner? So if you want to have
a good night sleep, you ideally want to eat at
least two to 3 h before that, ideally 3 h. So have a think about when you
want to have dinner. And then think about what are the activities that
you might want to do. So if you have a family, you might wanna do some
things with your family. You might want to
clean up a little bit. If you have a pet,
you might want to go for a walk with your dog. There could be so
many different things depending on your
circumstances, obviously. So just have a think
about what you're after dinner
activities could be. So next one is ideal at
time getting ready for bed. So you might want to
spend half an hour to get ready for bed and might
mean that you want to have a bath or you might
want to have a sauna, or you might want to have
a little walk around the block or a night meditation. So have a think
about what time you ideally wanna get ready for bed. And then I was thinking
about all the rituals that you actually do want to do and time them and plan them. And then have a think
about how many hours you would like to sleep. There are so many different
opinions on this, but 7-9 is what I've
see all the time. So have a think about
what that means for you. And based on that, what is your ideal bedtime? And then if you are going
to do some readings, think about that and
for how long and what time do you actually
want to sleep by? Now? I just want you to
take a moment to think about what will
you get you really excited to go to bed on time to get up for your
ideal morning routine. Your night routine is a
difficult one to implement, actually much harder than
your morning ritual. But I want you to
be so excited about your morning rituals
that it's so much easier to go to bed. So I have certainly got to that stage that I am so
excited to go to bed earlier because I
loved my mornings so much that I can't wait
to go to bed and get up. I'm going to share in that
little bonus session, my own morning ritual
as it is today. So I'm going to share
that in a minute. So for now, just have a think
about what will get you so excited to go to bed and get up and get your
morning ritual done.
8. It's Time to Put Your Morning `ritual on Paper: In the workbook, we have created a little
poster that you can print out for some ideas
for your morning ritual. Because some of
you might want to try different things for each day and just choose
the one that each morning. So we thought this
might be helpful. Before we continue, I just
wanted to remind you that every morning is
to chairs and live your dreams and make
them come true. It really is amazing once you get clear on what
your morning ritual can be and have some time to really think about
what's important to you. There's just nothing better to now we're getting to
the stage where I want you to really think hard
about their morning ritual. You want to start with, what time do you want
to get out there and what time do
you need to start each thing and
actually really makes sure that it works within
the hour is that you have. So take some time now to create your ideal morning ritual
that you will start with. If you find this difficult, just remember that your morning does not have to be perfect. You just have to have a little
schedule that works for you and then you can try it and if it doesn't
work, you just change it. Nothing is set in stone. I just want to
remind you of that.
9. Well Done! What's Next?: So there you go. Once you've done it, your
morning ritual up in love for you to commit for it
for at least 30 days. It does not mean that every
morning will be perfect in terms of it might be
some sleeping there, there might be some things that interrupts that that's
absolutely fine. But just have a plan
to stick with it for 30 days and then see what's
working and not working. And then every month
you can add and remove things to make it
your perfect one, whatever that is for you. So use this 30-day
checkout to keep track. As I mentioned earlier, if you would like a morning
ritual journal where you have some prompts for your
journaling every morning. There is a QR code on the screen on also
in your workbook. So you can get that
if you want to. Now you have created a
morning ritual just for you. And again, it might not be
the perfect one for now, you just might want
to try a few things. And the only way of knowing if it's going to work
is to actually do it. So I look forward so much to hear about your
morning ritual. Just go to a
Facebook link below. And if you want to share
your morning ritual, it's inspiring for me and
everyone in the group. And before finishing, I just
wanted to remind you that you have to create a morning
ritual that works for you. So when your life change, just change your
morning ritual as well. Thank you so much and
enjoy your morning ritual.
10. BONUS: A Peek at Kristina's Morning Ritual: Here's a little bonus
session for you. I'm going to share my morning
ritual, but before I do, I just want to remind
you that I've tried to swallow many different
things in the mornings. And this is a money ritual
that works for me right now. And I just want you
to know what I'm doing because mine is so simple. And if there's something that
inspires you to try them, try it but don't feel like
you have to do anything like that is because I've tried so many different
ways of doing it. This is something that
works for me right now. So I get off just before 05:00 A.M. and I'm so used
to get up early now, but it's saying that if
I'm not sleeping well, I don't get up early. So number one for me asleep. But when I get up around 05:00, I'll go straight to the
bathroom and I brush my teeth and then I
go into a meditation. So my meditation is between
20 min and an hour. I've been meditating
for a long time and something I really
look forward to. If you are new to meditation, maybe 5 min is enough. So don't think about the length. Just think about
if meditation is something for you and then
try something really short. That's how I started. Once I'm done with
my meditation, I do my journaling, so I do three morning
pages and then I also have my other journal
next to it because once I dump everything on TV, my morning pages, I
have so many ideas and insights and things
that I want to do is that I have in
my other journal. Once I'm done with
that journaling, I put my run is on
and I go for a walk. This is around 06:00 A.M. and I'll go for about an
hour an hour, 15. When I go for my walk or
sometimes work in silence, sometimes I might have something that I
want to think about, but also most of the time, I listened to a podcast
or an audio book. And when I get back, I'm just so inspired. And then 7-830, this is
where I focus on my family. So I helped the kids
getting ready for school, breakfast and school lunches, and then I dropped
them to school. And I'm hung around 830. And this is when I
have my five-minutes in silence with my coffee. And then after
that, I often read or doing something in
terms of learning. Then I start my work
around 09:00 and I spend my first 90 min, 9-1030 on my most
important project. So this is my simple but a very inspiring
morning ritual for me. So hopefully there are some
things that you want to try. Just keep it simple and do something that is right for you.
