1. 1 BTMF Introduction: have you ever wanted to create and capture amazing videos of kids, your family and your pets, but didn't know where to stop just filming a video? Would you like to create a story from your Children's playtime activities? Kids grow up so fast, so why not document different Grecian in the unique way? And I'm going to show you that all you need is a smartphone and a few basic accessories to get up and be creative before the memories. 2. 2 BTMF The Story Begins: I feel like me and have kids. You might spend a bit of time at the playground and no matter the size of the equipment, there are so many opportunities to get some great footage. So where do we begin? It's part of our storytelling idea for this video. We need to establish the location and give the viewers some context to where the action is taking place. Establishing shots were used throughout Hollywood films and to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. Think of the beginning of the Star Wars films with special sequence in Transformers three and the opening sequence in The Lord of the Rings. Return of the King with Gandalf riding on his white horse, and we see a wide shot of the location with that particular scene and where the movie is about to begin. One way to establish the cut location, particularly if we're using a playground in this instance, is to do a wide shot such as this best idea to do that is when you arrive either from the road or from from the car park. Wherever it is the way you are, you give you the viewer a sense of where the action is about to take place and to set insane. This technique can also work great at the beach or the skate park or wherever you happen to be filming the action for the day. So to begin, step with your establishing shop, then a medium shot, followed by a close up. Then, when the kids are heading into the playground, he kept her a slow motion clip of them running. Okay. Another great tool is to do some slow motion close ups to introduce the characters in your story, and then once you're in the playground, the possibilities are endless. 3. 3 BTMF And: coming up. We have a variety of clips of showed in the playground somewhere. Handheld. Somewhere on a tripod, you can use idea to get the look that you require. So first we have a low shot looking up the slide, and that's then full. I'd buy a top down, short down slide. You can also add a fuller shots such as this. Next, you can shoot the swings from various angles such as these. - Another technique is to use the player and equipment of frame your shots in this case that the equipment has pirate things. There's lots of portholes and other squares and circles, and that we could shoot through to frame their shots for an interesting look. Another thing I want to show you is a way that you could use a tripod to capture some really low angles that follow the action around. And he has some examples of how that looks. And so to do this, we attached the fine until it upset like this. Next we loosen one leg of the tripod raising upwards, while the others are extended outwards such as this to balance the camera. Then all we need to do is grab the leg that's vertical and full of the action to capture these low down, unique angles. And here's another use of that same technique where we pan around that subject in slow motion. 4. 4 BTMF Story Ending: So how do we end this story that we've just created? We have a few options, and the 1st 1 is to capture a shots of the kids in whether in slow motion or normal speed, close ups, various different angles of just of them laughing and having having a great time. Option two could be to revisit the opening scene of the movie and have kids walking away from the park or leaving the playground. You could get to catch them in slow motion or normal speed as they walk away and head towards the car for the drive home or the walk home, just to bring the action full circle from what happened in the beginning, we're third idea. Could be to sit down with the kids and talk to them on camera and ask them some questions about what I enjoyed about the day. Ultimately, it's your stories till so captured the footage in the way that you feel it's going to express that on on showcase what you want to show about the experience that having 5. 5 BTMF Recap: I said to recap on what we've led women creating a story. We need to remember these important things. Number one established the location of where the action is taking place number to capture the action from of a variety of angles and different film speeds. And remember, you can never have too much footage. It's better than have too much than not enough number three film and ending to the story that ties in with everything that you just shot. I have enjoyed the course and I look forward to join you again for part two, where we get to edit clips and start to create our happy story. I'm Anthony. Thanks for joining me. See you again soon. 6.
