And I will keep my words, I'm updating this lesson. As in the past two months, so many things have changed. And the tool I really love because it makes content creation process easier for almost everyone I know, obviously I'm talking Canva now has improved its AI feature massively. So I need to modify this chapter so it's all up to date. I told you already that the landscape is changing really fast, right? So canvas, basically another real life proof that things can change and improve really quick this quick. Okay, I can do this. Why do so many of us love Canva? Well, va wasn't designed with professionals in line. It was created for everyone to make it easy for. Yeah, really everyone. Even the toll beginners to create interesting appealing designs for basically any purpose from social media post. Fancy Instagram, Carrousels graphics for your ads, for Facebook, ads, infographics, resume, or even business presentations. It's easily accessible and you don't have to study graphic design or finish some complicated 200 hours courses to create really nice results for me, the best thing about Canva is that it's a tool with a huge budget. Meaning it's improving all the time and the new features are coming all the time. There's always a work in progress. Their team is always working on something new. Because to be honest, in the past I fell in love with several different tools. But because they weren't so financially stable, they weren't developing as continuously as Va does. And I really think that's a huge canva advantage when it comes to Va features. There are a ton of the latest features that even the most loyal Va users may not be aware of. Together we will discuss how these Va AI powered features can revolutionize your designs and make your content creation process much more productive. Because there's so much more to Canva than meets the eye. I'm sure all of you have already heard about text to image generation and tools like Mid Journey or Ali. But what about Canva? Can you get satisfying results with canvas text to image generation? Is it good? From my perspective? Yes. Va jumps on this. I pan vegan pretty strongly before we dive into the practical part of showing you the most impressive and most helpful things they can do with canvas I, I need to mention that some of canvas AI features are available only on its paid pro teams plans, Including features like magic eraser, background remover, magic switch, magic rap, magic expand, magic morph, and magic animate. However, some cool AI features are also available for free plan users, though there are some usage caps. For example, free users get a total of 50 users for magic write, while paid users get 500 users per month. And magic media gives free users a total of five uses of text, video, while paid users get 50 users per month. So there is a huge difference. But of course, these usage cups change sometimes, so it's not a set in stone. I see they're experimenting with different models. Okay, let's discuss these features. 12. Magic Media: Magic media. Rather than developing its own generative AI model for text, image, and text to video generation. Alva has given its magic media to already existing AI solutions by incorporating the latest technology from leading companies and products. I'm sure many of you know these companies. We'll discuss them in a minute. Magic media comes with two options. Text to image and text to video. How to access Canvas magic media? To create images using Canvas magic media, you need to follow these steps. Go to Vac and open your design. Then from the tool bar on the left, click the option for apps. Click the option for magic media under powered. You can also use the sedge bar to find the app easily. The boarding screen will appear the first time. Use the app. Click on Open to proceed, and now you have two options. Let's start with text image. Text image is powered by stable diffusion in its cavas. Answer to generative. A tools like Mid Journey in Ali you can generate images you need or the images you dream of based on natural text prompts. The process is really simple. All you need describe the image you want to get and the tool will do its best to create it for you. Now, the most exciting part, and I know you like this part the most. Let's see how it works in practice. Let's say I need a graphic with white cat writing a red bike for my block post with the fiction story I want to share with my readers. Since there are many styles to choose from, you can stick to one of these aesthetics To create a coherent series of images for your newsletters. Block post or social media post. I have to say the tool is doing really well. Really coat with animals and objects. Sometimes a bit amazing with people, but I see it's getting better and better and it's improving really quickly. Why I love this feature so much, because let's face the truth, I would need to browse through the stock images for such a long time to find a good one. With white cat riding a red bike, that would be a good fit for my block, my black post. And with Va magic media, I can create it in 5 seconds. I find it really brilliant. And it can make our post, our newsletter, so much more appealing. In that way, we can more easily stand out from the crowd. You definitely need to give it a go. What do you need to keep in mind when playing with canvas magic media? First, the quality of your results will vary based on the prompts you use and the details you arm the tool with. The second Canva always gives you a few options to choose from. If you're not satisfied with the results, switch to a different style or rewrite your prompt because look how different the results were. When I switch to a different style, we look for magic media here and here I put my prompt, which is white cat riding a red bike. As you can see, I can choose filmic, watercolor, photo, dreamy. And when I click on Sell, there are many more styles to choose from. Though vibrant, minimalistic neon film, make label, retro wave. There are a lot to choose from. I will show you the ones that sound the most appealing to me. Let's see vibrant. And now we have to wait. I have to say when it comes to the text to image generation, it's really quick. But when it comes to image to video generation, it takes longer. You will see. So because of this style we chose, this image is really vibrant, like the colors are really strong. So Kanva is basically giving us four images to choose from. And now let's see how the image will look when I change the style. Let's say I will choose filmic. Yeah, generate again. Yeah. As you can see, these photos will look really realistic in small size. When we zoom in, we can see that the details aren't really perfect. But very often we don't need such high quality images for our block post because they're only this size or a little bit bigger. So they are perfect in this size. Yeah, it really looks like a picture. Like a photo. Good job. Canvas, maybe this time. Concept arch. Okay, wow, I bet it would look great. This style will look great in newsletters or in sub stock posts. It's more than amazing. Let's test Fred. Okay, I like this one a bit less and now maybe color pencil. Wow, yeah, so I changed my mind. This one will be great for newsletters. I tell you I need to start using those counted images in my newsletters. They are great. And the last one I will test out because I'm really curious, psychoedelic. Okay. Yeah, let's go with this one. Wow, yeah. Yeah, it's amazing. I can say that many people will love it. It's not my style though, but, but I want to be objective and it's great. And are the people a challenge for Canva? Let's test it out. Let's say I need a blonde girl drinking a huge cappuccino with a sad face. And let's change the style to filmic. Again, she looks so tired, doesn't she? We will need to modify the prompt a little bit and maybe change the style. Yeah, the ones are really better. Yeah, so people are sometimes a challenge for Canva, but in that case we need to specify needs a little bit more. So I will need to change the prompt from a blonde girl drinking a huge cappuccino with a sad face, blonde girl drinking a huge cappuccino with sat face, make her lips symmetry. Yeah, she looks like a little girl a bit. That's not what I have in mind. So we need to change the style. You minimalistic. Let's see how it will go. Okay, I can tell you that I like this one much more than the previous ones. It's great, but you're looking at her fingers. You can say that it's an image generated by AI. So we need to make her fingers symmetry call and focus on making her knees look normal once again. Because sometimes we need to specify our needs just using the natural text language to make sure Kanza understands what we want to see. In that case, you can tell that by specifying my needs we got so much better picture because her needs are looking normal now. Yeah, I can use this picture in my newsletter. We can experiment with all the styles we have here. And there are a lot to choose from, so I'm sure we will love some of them, and I already did. We can get really amazing results from magic media and this text to image generation. We just need to pay attention to our prompt and specify our needs. Some people say that text image generation feels like a new version of stock photos. Yeah, it might feel that way. But in my opinion, it's much more powerful than that. With tools like canvas, text image generation, you can easily create things that don't exist just yet in real life. For example, our white cat riding a bike on its own. I mean, we probably would have a huge problem to find a stock photo like this or picture like this. Of course, that's just one of the thousands of examples and it's fantasy. But the skin tool can also be extremely useful for more serious business purposes. To illustrate products or visions that don't exist just yet, and there are no photos, illustrations of them. Text to video, text to image generation is something we get used to very quickly. And we take it almost for the granite now. Right. But text to video generation is even more impressive. And I feel like so many people don't know how to use it or aren't quite sure if it's right fit for them or if they should use it. So let's elaborate on that. Kava is relying on integration with Runway one of the leaders in text to video AI technology. And thanks to this integration, we can get amazing quality of its generative videos. Look at this video, Impressive right To create it, I used to prompt white cat on a red bike. It looks scared of the rain that is falling from the sky. While short videos may not be an obvious choice for newsletters and block posts, as they are much heavier in size, there's a way to make them more practical. Yes, you can create gifts. You can create gifts out of them. And use them in your reels, in your block posts and your newsletters. And that way you won't have to worry about the big size of the file. So that's a bring in the idea. 13. DALL-E by Open AI inside Canva: Aly inside Va. That was huge news. Va has recently integrated Daly AI model, developed by Openai to its design tools. And let me tell you, Daly is capable of generating really high quality images from our textual proms. Making it such a powerful tool, such a powerful feature. It's converting text Proms into images just like a digital artists interpreting your words and your vision and it can be really magical. I will show you with this integration, we can now access Daly capabilities to create unique and personalized image graphics. Va. We don't have to go to Dolly, we just can't do it inside. Canva was a big move and yes, that's right. We can now choose between three AI tools for texting generation and Canva, I know you're curious, which of them perform the best, How, how they perform in comparison. So that's what we're going to do, that's what I'm going to show you in a minute. But before we do that, a quick tutorial how to access Dolly inside the Canva. So, go to your Canva dashboard and on the left side, scroll down and click apps. You should see Ali here, and if not, use the Cava up search bar. A pop up will let you select if the AI generated image would be used in an existing or new design. When you choose a new design, you can choose custom size or find the canvas you need for your art. Fill out the width and height of the canvas, and click Create New Design. And that's where our journey with Ali begins. So type in your prompt and let your imagination run wild. Or type in what you need, and click to create. And then watch as Y does it magic. So let's see how canvas dolly will perform with the same prompt we've used before with the previous tool with text generation from magic media. With canvas magic media, stable diffusion. Okay, so here I'm pasting or prompt, which is white cat riding a red bike. And we click on Generate. And we are waiting what Canva will do for you or Y will do for us. Okay, so we have two options to choose from. This is the first option. It's more realistic than the previous ones. That's the way I feel. And that's the second option we have. We have to admit it's a bit worse than the previous pictures before I will tell you my verdict because it's way too soon. For this, we need to specify our needs a bit more. So what can we adch to it? Make it look more. Film, lie. And make sure the cat looks like a real cat. Focus on polishing its eyes. Okay. Now it's much, much better. Now you can see the power of specifying your needs. So I need to, I can't stress it enough. Whenever you feel like you aren't satisfied with the result, just specify your needs a bit more. You will be really surprised by how different the results can be when you specify your needs. When you add a little bit to your prompt, of course the prompt can be overcomplicated because when you tell Daly to focus on 20 things, you can get worse results because it won't know exactly what you want from it. But specifying your needs is really important. Just don't overdo it. So the results look like this. And I can tell that it really did focus on polishing its eyes. 14. Imagen: Image. And here comes our third option, our third AI tool we can use inside Canva to generate images from text, from text prompts, and actually it's Google's AI image generator. And that's what makes it really promising. So let's see what result it will give us when prompted with exactly the same prompt, the same vision we've used with Va magic media and Vaal app. Okay, so just the same way we did with Ali, you have to open apps and type in images and there have it. I've pasted the simple prompt without any modifications, just the way we did it, testing out the previous features, stable, diffusion and dolly. So let's click and generate. So I have to tell you it looks more realistic, even without any modification, without adding anything to the prompt. Okay, and I've regenerated my results and here are the results I've got this time. They are quite good. I can tell if you want to see what imaging is up to, you can click on these examples. The tool is giving us this inspiration and brain writing a rocket ship heading towards the moon. So let's see what results we'll get. Okay, so it's quite good with those finest divisions. So what's the verdict? Which text image tool is the best? Yeah, I've done my research much more in depth research, and according to many people, Dolly is better for creating those imaginative or artistic images, while Campa magic media also as stable diffusion, is better for creating realistic images as you had a chance to see. And what about Google? What about imaging? So the third one, our imaging is best for creating simple images with a limited color palette. And yeah, I think our results are also proof for that. Just decide for yourself which tool you like. Best stable diffusion, a magic media, Ali or imaging, which one is the best in your opinion? Other Canva AI Features to Level Up Your Posts (And Your Design): Let's discuss other V features to level up your graphic designs. Okay, now I'm going to show you some more magic and we are going to discuss how you can modify and level up the images Canva has created for you. And how you can use them in your project to save even more time, because that's our goal, right? To show you the full spectrum of possibilities, I will ask Cava to generate another image for me. This time it's going to be a woman. Let's say I need a picture of a woman wearing a red shirt, red lipstick, and Instagram logo shaped earrings, and sitting in front of her laptop drinking coffee. And then I will use this image to show you a few magic ways to level up your Va projects. So let's go and let's discuss them step by step, Okay? Sometimes you can get this response from Va telling you that intigram may result in content that doesn't meet our policies. Which means we have to modify our prompt. Decas Va doesn't really like social media names inside the prompts, so we need to remember about that. So let's say heart shaped. Okay, this is the first picture I got. Later we can modify the logo so it looks better, but I won't spend time on this now. Magic graph. Magic graph is a feature that lets you grab rec, and move around specific elements in your designs without affecting the background and all the surrounding elements. This is so helpful when you want to reposition the subject in your image to shift focus or to trim down certain elements. With this canvas magic wrap feature, we can grab the main character, in this case that's the woman in the red shirt, and move her around whenever we need her to be. Just look at how smoothly magic wrap enables me to move and recite the woman in our picture. If you're curious about how exactly it works, here's the secrets. Magic rap turns static images into editable images by using AI to fill in the gaps. And that's the way it does its magic, it just fill in the gaps. Using AI to generate missing parts of the image. So you may wonder, how exactly do we do this? You need to click on the picture, on the photo, and click Edit Photo. And here we have our magic wrap. Click on it, and it will need a few seconds just to process it. And here we can change the position of the woman, for example. We can do it like this. And then we can add different parts of the design. For example, we can create a block post header from this, something like this. That way it looks really appealing. Yeah, so we can experiment with image just like this, just to make a college out of it. Or it's actually up to us. And let's see how it will go with this photo as it's more difficult for Canvas Here we can do the same thing as you can see here is a part of the image missing, so we can add an element to cover it up. I think those examples are good, but I can show you my flowing example. Which may be really useful if you have some pictures from mountains or some travel memories. And you would like to make yourself a little bit bigger in the crowd, the picture is just better. You can see, I can modify the pictures or make it like this. I think this effect will be appealing in so many different cases and it's really good to know how to do that. 16. Magic Expand: Magic expense. Magic expend uses A to extend the borders of your image. It's very similar to the out painting feature on Y and Z Zimot feature on May Journey. It's also a bit like generative film and para shop to put it simply, magic Expend is really helpful when you are not happy with the framing in your image or when you need to expand the dimensions or orientation of your results. For example, with this picture, we might need to use this image in a block post as the block post header in as text to it. And to make it look good, we'll need more blank space and a broader image garnes with magic expend. We can expand this image so quickly. So we click on a photo. Here we have magic expand, let's say, which is the whole page option. And we need to give Va a few seconds to process the image. As you can see, Va is informing us that images with faces hence or transparent backgrounds may not work well when expanding. And that's true, but fortunately, Va is improving all the time. So hopefully, like a few months, it will be completely improved. Okay, so that's the way Canva has expanded this photo and wow, the difference is really huge. Yeah, I think I like this one better. There are some elements which we of course don't like, but we can erase them as the next step. So now I will show you how it will work on the landscape photo, which I think is a good example. Because when it comes to magic expand, this feature is doing great with landscape pictures. Landscape photos, okay. And here is the result. We can also regenerate the results if we don't like them so much. So we can explore various photo extend your options Va gives us, and I think this one is the best one. And now maybe one more example. This one is a good choice. Let's see how magic expand will extend it. Okay? This one is really nice. And now we can add some text to it, so we can just cover this like borders of the image. 17. Magic Earaser: Magic eraser. With magic eraser, we can erase parts of the image we don't like, we don't need or simply don't want to see anymore. For instance, the laptop. By simply brushing over it, we need to select the objects we want to remove from the image. In our case, that's a laptop. Yes. Just paint over the line objects and let magic eraser get describing. So as you can see, the laptop is gone. Magic eraser works definitely best when you're removing objects from uncomplicated backgrounds. Also, keep in mind that if you want to remove the whole background, you can use the background remover tool that's designed just for this purpose. 18. Magic Edit: Magic edit. Magic edit is really magical. It's like a tool. You never knew you need it or maybe we knew because I swear I was dreaming about it a few years ago or even a few months ago. What's it about? With one click and a few words, you can turn one object into another just like a spell. Let's see how it works in this example, here's a photo of me in a very casual outfit, but I need a professional, very elegant portrait for the blog post I want to share today. Is Kanva able to help me? So let's highlight the outfit and then describe what I want to replace the casual dress with. Let's do it with the prompt, change my outfit. Make me wear an elegant white shirt. Okay, I really like the result. Maybe the spurt isn't really, I, I'm not looking directly at the camera, so it's not really looking elegant, really professional. But the change of clothes is impressive, right? Or maybe we can try with a better photo. So this is my second choice. Let's do it with the same prompt, we're starting with brushing over the top, I want to replace. Yes, I really like this one. So as you can see, we can easily change the outfit and for example, replace the not so elegant top with something much more professional like we just did. Now let's transform a Corgi into a tiger. As you can see, this tool is really fun to play around with, but it has so many practical functions as well. If you're a content creator, marketer, or designer looking to adapt images for different purposes for your blog post, social media posts, and newsletters, you can really quickly multiply the clothes. For example, the clothes or the models in your photos are wearing. Here is me wearing the neon pink shirt I don't even have in my closet probably, I will never buy it. But it's a good photo for a newsletter anyway. 19. Magic Design: Metric design. This one is also extremely helpful and can save you tons of time. Metric design is a design tool by Canva that generates similar designs based on your input. And lets you visualize your design ideas with a selection of refined templates made just for you. So how to use magic design? First, find magic design in the tool bar and you can start by uploading your photo. You media magic design will generate relevant design templates to match. It simply means no more building from scratch. Considering that magic design can build templates for everything from Youtube, temp nails, for your blogs to business presentation info, graphics resume. I feel like this AI tool might provide us with more time saving potential than any other F I powered feature on this list. To test magic design, I drop in a photo of Italian pizza along with the request that I need an Instagram post. And from there, magic design quickly gives us a few design templates and we can choose whether we like them or not. And as I said before, you can ask Magic Design to create a whole bunch of things for you. From Facebook ads, design to resume presentations, business presentation, Instagram ads, social media posts just like mine. Just whatever you need. 20. Magic Switch: Magic switch. Magic switch is for switching between format dimensions. And listen, that's interesting, even languages in your Canva design, it's like the AI powered being over to magic recites, which I'm sure you remember, it was a very, very popular and commonly used feature on Kanva's the Past. Now because while magic recites in the past only allowed us to switch between dimensions, as you already know, magic switch does a lot more. Magic switch solves a serious pain point. We've all had, at least I had it a lot with Canva, just until now. The struggle of moving and resizing objects and elements after changing the dimensions of the design. I remember it was, it was a challenge. It was the constant struggle doing this manually was really, really frustrating at times. So magic switch takes away this annoying part of resizing for project. For example, from Instagram post to Instagram Stories formats. So how does it work? You already know it automatically resizes each element in your design. For example, now you can easily turn Instagram post into Instagram story, turn a presentation into a series of Instagram post and carousels. Convert a tube tube nail into an Instagram app. You can even turn a block post header into an Instagram real cover plus. Now we can also auto translate our project into languages. For example, from English language Instagram post to French language Tikta, copy. So yeah, as you can see, this feature can make our work so much more productive, to be honest. When it comes to me, I don't use the auto translation auto translation option quite often, but I really enjoy the advanced resizing options. So you can instantly resize your designs for various platforms without having to work separately on separate design for each. That's brilliant. 21. Beat Sync: Y. That's also really interesting. When you watch those extremely creative viral Instagram Reas or Hick videos with audio, you are quick to notice that the visuals tends to correspond with the accompanying beats. Why is it so important? Well, it's proven that viewers are much more likely to stay engaged when the visuals match the beats. But there is this one problem. It isn't easy sometimes that's a real change. To sing the beat, in my opinion, is a tedious process because it involves manually tweaking the timing of multiple audio and video clips over and over again. And canvas here to help with this feature. We can harmonize our videos in seconds. It's really easy to use, which is a huge advantage. How does it work in practice? I always believe that testing is the best way to learn something. I encourage you to give it a go and make your next reel. Canva. This course isn't dedicated to video content.
