2. What is Copywriting ?: Have you ever bought
something while reading something on Internet? For example, you must
be scrolling down your Instagram and you see a post wherein they're
offering good discount. And they're giving free
templates wherein you can design your stuff online. And you feel so tempted. Be kind of words
which is written. And the benefits you will get in how you can get this for free, which is more than 90% of the discount only
valid for today. Now what makes that
writing attractive? You must have seen different
types of articles online, but why is it that one piece of that simple article or a link is so attractive that you just go in and make the payment
and purchase that, well, that essentially
it's copywriting. Copywriting is a
skill that makes you more comfortable
with customers. They will feel tempted
to buy your product, your service, just by reading
what you have to offer. You writing, so attractive you're writing and
so to the point, precise and accurate that
your writing is hitting the right buttons
in the minds of customer and the customer
is making that purchase. That is copywriting. And the simplest of words. And trust me, I have
been through a lot of good copywriting skills online. Good a lot of good copywriters
who are just for tablets, the way the right
words to choose, the understanding
pulse of the people. They understand their product, what the customer
must be feeling. Why would he make that purchase? What is the need? What is the benefit of this
product to the customer? Once you understand that, you can become a
professional copywriter. And in this course you're going to learn copywriting skills. The copywriters are basically professional content creators, develop and integrate websites. Good number of articles they write are essentially
they are more involved in making
sales and doing marketing of a particular
product or a service. They create digital content. They are heavily piano
skill in terms of writing. Along with technical skills, that is what essentially differentiate them with
the other writers. Copywriters are these
specialized form of writers who essentially
derive their, their income, their
earning, their livelihood, from the kind of
content they write, the more sales they can
make through the writing, the better copywriter there. So this is what copywriting is essentially what
a copywriter is. A copywriter is a person
who can sell a product or a service online through
his writing skills.
3. What are Fundamentals of Copywriting ?: Some of the important qualities
of a great copywriting. Now, one of the most important
and fundamental aspects of copywriting is to
be a good writer. And in order to
become a good writer, you grammatical skills
should be perfect. There should be no spelling
or grammar errors. Especially if you're writing
something in short form. You might make certain mistakes. But once you do the proofreading
before posting anything, you do the final reading, then probably you can correct much of the errors
which you have made, always ensure your
grammar's perfect. The second aspect is persuasion. How can you influence
the person? How can you persuade
the person to buy the product and service? Just by reading your content, just by reading your, your words, these intensities which you have frame, right? So persuasion is letting the person feel tempted
to buy that product. You need to convince
the person that this product is for him or her. This service is
going to change or make a good difference to
the life of the person, only then that person will
buy that product or service. Now, jargon free,
would you like to read something which
you don't understand? Or would you like to read
something which is easy to understand and you'll find
it very comfortable to read. So people always prefer a written language which
is free of Joggins, free of technical words. If I'm a doctor and if I want to explain certain
medication to a patient, I may not use the
language of a doctor. I have to get down
to the level of the patient where the
patient is able to understand what's the
problem he's facing. For that, I need to get to his level and explain things in a simple manner rather than using technical hertz which
normally doctors use. So this is what
you need to ensure that once you're
doing copywriting, your words are absolutely
jargon free, right? So everyone should be
able to understand. Now, strong call to action. Imagine there is a product
which you want to sell. Online. You have
written good content. You have provided the details of the product while the person
should buy the product, you have asked the
right questions. But at the end, you forget
to ask the question. To buy that product. Will the customer
level purchase it? No, because you didn't
ask that question. So call to action is the most critical and important
aspect of copyrighting. If you're influencing someone, if you're persuading
someone to buy, you need to ask for it. Unless and until I asked
you to buy my product, you won't make the payment. And that's the beauty
of copulating. So call to action
has to be there. You need to touch the right points than
the customer's mind. So that he comes to a level. He comes to a position where you can call him go action
to purchase the product. Now, Search Engine
Optimization friendly S. Now what do you mean by
search engine optimisation? Now we all know that
anything that is written on Internet gets
located through Google. Google is the biggest, the largest search engine
on planet Earth by anything and
everything that you do online gets reflected on Google. And the lagging depends upon the search
engine optimisation. How easy you have made your content for the Internet to read
and present it to the people is reflected
on the Google page. So if you search
something, for example, if you search modern day
school and if that school is quite famous and the
content SEO done quite well, it'll appear on the
first page or it will appear on the
last or ten pages. So good cop, good SEO. We'll make your content come on the first page
of the search engine. The moment someone types your name on the search
bar, your content appears. So everything that you write
online as a copywriter, it has to be search
engine optimized. You need to optimize
your content for Google. Again, being direct with
the customer is very, very important. You cannot. Run around the bush
and you cannot just go round and round and not
talk about the real stuff. So what is required in copywriting is that
you're directly speaking to the customer
and his or her language, which is not only
easy to understand, but also equally easy to comprehend and go to
the action level. So you need to be
straight to the point. You need to use short
sentences, short paragraphs, free with grammatical errors, and call to action freezer should be simple one
lines and densities. You're simply asking the
person to take action. But captivating lead. Now this is very,
very important. Why would someone
read one page of your content if the first slide itself is not interesting. So you need to catch the
attention of the person, the first ten seconds. So the first sentence has to grab the attention
of the reader. So you need to start
with something which is completely astonishing, which is completely
out of the box. You can start with a question. You can start with the
most common question a person would think, if he or she wants to buy that product so that
the person can relate, Oh yes, this is what
I was thinking about. And this is written in
the first line itself. Let me read more at
this is how you bring, bring the customer to a point where he will
purchase your product. So the lead should be
very well-crafted. Good introduction plays
a very important role. Now you also, you need to
understand the channel. Channel means be the resource, the source which you are
using to put your content. And you need to
understand the medium in order to get the best result. So if you want to post
something on Instagram, make sure that it looks good. The image, the video
is short properly, but good lighting, great
content and beautiful colors. If you want to put
it on Twitter, you need to ensure
that you are writing the best content in just
100 or 120 onwards. So that's the difference. You need to be adaptive depending upon the
kind of channel which you're using for promotion. Many times, we find
it very difficult that in fact we don't
understand our audience. And because we don't
understand our audience, we are not able to connect
with the audience. And somewhere we lose that connect and
B-cells never happened. So if I'm selling a pencil, I need to understand that my, my target audience is
going to be students, students from class one to temp, who normally write with pencils. In fact, much younger than that. So if my audience is so young, I need to free my content
as per the age group, as per the younger generation. What kind of colors they
would lake in my picture. Right? So I need to write accordingly to what my
audience would want to read. So that's something
which you should definitely take care
of your audience. Also, you need to
understand what is that which you are offering. This is something which is very important unless and until you understand what you're
offering to the customers, you won't be able to sell
it to the customers. So these are some of
the important qualities of good copywriting.
4. What are the Qualities of a Copywriter ?: So who is a copywriter? Let me ask you a question. What a copywriter is a
person who writes online, who's able to sell a product or service through his writing. Now once you enroll for any course or you buy
any product on Amazon, you go and read
about that product. You go in the description, you go and see the
benefits, the features. What is the USP of the product? And if I can bring
all these qualities of that product in
a very efficient, a very simple manner
in front of people. And I use the right questions
and I get them to the, to the payment button so that they just click
and make the payment. That is, a copywriter. A copywriter creates messages, creates content, promotes the products,
services, or brand. A copywriter develops and
intellectual property. Copyright they can do
and ask good questions. Why? Because he needs to obtain information or listen
and ask questions. I wouldn't be able
to get the answers. I need to plan out each and every section of
the copywriting. What kind of questions
am I going to ask first? What is going to be
my second question? I have to anticipate what the customer is going
to think once he leads every sentence
which I'm plating, what are the kinds of
emotions which I'm triggering while writing
a particular paragraph. I'm researching my competitors, what my competitors
are offering. What is the complaint which the customers have
with my competitors? What is the best solutions to the complaints which
the competitors have, which I can solve, right? So the more problems my competitors are
given to the customer, the better my production become. Because I'm going to
provide solutions to all those problems which my competitors
have freely to do. And that is why my
product will sell. So I need to understand my
research, my competition. I need to research
by competition. I need to see what is
available in the market. What are the products
which are going to compete with my product? Are there any drawbacks? What is the positive? Can I make my
product much better than already existing
in the market? Only then I'll be
able to make sales. So I need to constantly
gain feedback, interact with customers
to know about my product. I need to formulate a proper
framework of copulating. What, how, where, when, conclusion, and how to get
that sales pitch done. Also, I need to edit. A lot of us have seen different
forms of copyrighting. For example, a billboard design. Such creative bell
boats you see, once you travel out
through road or through three Beautiful
Twitter messages, have seen exceptional
landing pages. Once you start reading
the first line, you get so attracted
that you go through the last line in the
entire landing page. Essentially you make the
purchase is where Neil design. Many people write emails
so beautifully and proper. Form, the width, good sentence construction
being very precise. A product description design, the weights, the colors are
represented, the packaging, the sense of the product
lies in what it is seen. So normally it is said that
what gets seen gets sold. So if I can attract
people with my packaging, with my, with my colors, with my design, the kind
of brand image, the logos. Everything matters a
lot in copywriting. And this is what
copywriting includes.
5. What are Types of Copywriting ?: What are different
types of copyrighting? Essentially,
copywriting can take different forms and there is no specific category in which
you can place copywriting. However, to give a
broader selection of different forms
of copyrighting. You can write articles
to newspaper. You can make value proposition
copywriting for businesses. You can do copywriting
for landing pages. You can write great emails and do copywriting for clients. You can create ads for
different companies. You can also copulate script for a particular movie
or an add autoplay. So essentially there
are different forms of copyrighting
which you can do. In order to become
proficient in better. We need to practice
it every day.
6. What are Copywriting Skills ?: So what is copywriting in? What are copywriting skills? Now we have already understood the fundamentals
of copyrighting. Now let us understand
what are the skills required for you to become
a great copywriter? Have you seen a salesperson
making the sales? Just one? Once you go to a shop
to buy a television, the kind of questions the
salespersons are asked, they will ask you, what kind
of television do you want? What is the preferred site? Is any specific brand? What is the resolution
of the television? Do you want full HD? Led? Led, which kind
of TB TV do you want? What is your budget? But these are some of the
questions which normally the salesperson will ask you if you go to buy some product. Why? Because these questions
will give them the hint, the need of the customer. The more you answered
as the customer, the better it is for them. And easy it is for them
to make the sales. And that is essentially the quality of a
great salesperson. Now just imagine the
role of a salesperson. Not physical, but through
a piece of writing. So the same salesman
who was asking you questions and the sharp is now writing your reading on Internet what he has to
offer about the product. Now this is copywriting, so this person is not
present in front of you and physical form, but
he's communicating. He's asking the same
questions in different words. Do you think it is easy
or it's difficult? I'm sure you would understand that making a sales
through copywriting, DAG, to physically show a
product is more difficult. Why? Because you do not have physical product in
front of the customer. You're not talking to
the person face-to-face. You are not looking at the
body language of the customer. You cannot garage or judge the interest level
of the customer. So these are certain drawbacks of making the sales online
through copywriting. But there are certain
advantages as well. What is the advantage? Well, your copywriting can reach to millions and
millions of people. And if you can
essentially touching the right point
through your writing, you can make more sales. So both copywriting and selling a product and physical form
through a salesperson. Have your own positives
and negatives. But since we are talking
about copywriting skills, which is essentially selling your product or service
online through writing. Let's talk about some of the important copywriting
skills. Do you find? It's easy for a salesperson to communicate and get
the sales more easy. If he is good in communication and in soft
skills are very good. The answer to this
question is yes. If a salesperson is good with
his communication with it, hard and soft skills, he'll be able to communicate
the product benefits. Privates use more easily. You would be able to relate
yourself with the product. That's the quality of
a good communicator. Similarly, once you are writing something in
selling a product online, your communication skills and you're hard and soft skills. Boo, come to play because you understand what kind of language should be
spoken to a person. The same kind of language, you will write it.
In your copywriting. You will understand the
psychology of the customer, what the customer wants, what kind of questions to ask? What are the right pin
points to touch upon? How do you get the
person to purchase your product just while
leading your stuff online? So you are good in
creating advertisement, you are good in marketing. You essentially create a
persona around the the article, the object, the advertisement, which is displayed
online through a graph, through a picture or
a brochure pamphlet, which is available
online or through a post on Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram. That is very attractive. But current amount of colors, proper font, and beautiful
frame sentences. You need to get the customer to a point wherein he wants
to buy the product. He understands that
the person who's writing behind as
a genuine person, he builds trust and faith just by leading
what it is written. How to build the
trust, the confidence. You need to show examples. But this essentially
is copywriting skills. You need to prove to the person that the people who have
already taken this product, they have good opinion, good views about the product. They're sharing good feedback. This is how trust
and credibility is Bill, what the customers. So good copywriting skills is essentially being a
good communicator. Good with hard and soft skills. You are good at marketing stuff and creating beautiful
advertisement, digital and print content. Obviously, you're writing
has to be exceptional. Exceptional and the terms of absolutely no
grammatical mistake, beautiful framing of sentences, touching the right points, asking the right questions
and pitching to the perfect. Just not making the
customer get bored. But yet he is interested
to read to the last line. Every sentence should
generate more curiosity. Every sentence, phrase, word, should make the
customer feel more interested to read more
what you have written. And ultimately you
convince them to buy the product by
using the hooks, by using the attractive power of your words, your credibility, the proof, the ease
of making payments, the more comfortable you
make the customer online. We all know about the frauds and the type of things
which happened online. So the more you talk
about the security, the more you talk about the
authenticity of your website, the more comfortable
the customer will be to make the beam. So copywriting is essentially developing that
confidence within the customer so that he can go ahead and make a purchase
without any doubt in his mind.
7. What are some examples of Copywriting Skills ?: You want to be a copywriter. You are good at copywriting. You can write good articles,
essays, paragraphs, blogs. But you want to try your
hand at copywriting. You want to sell
something online just by writing about
the product or service. What are the skills? What are the examples which
you need to understand, which you'll need to
go through to get an idea of the characteristics, the skills, quiet for you
to become a copywriter. Firstly, most and
the basic quality is to be a good writer. You're writing skills
should be sharp. Develop precise, simple to read. We need to be evocative. Every sentence has to express
what has been written. You will not use jargons. You are a good communicator. You have good technical skills. The most important and
essential quality of a copywriter is being creative, having an innovative mindset, the ability to think
out-of-the-box. Many a times you will find solutions to the most
complex of the problems. By thinking outside the box. By having a creative mindset, by developing innovative
mindset in you. If you want to be a copywriter,
your creative thinking, your creative writing skills
have to be at the top. You're a great problem-solver. Problem-solving skills
will always help you to find solutions
to different problems. Why are you going to
essentially sell a product? Every product or service
is solving a problem. If you can find a
good product that is solving the most common of the
problems of the customers. They will make a purchase, they will buy a product. And essentially you will
be a great copywriter. So you need to understand, you need to solve the
problems of the customer. Interpersonal skills. Now, many dimes, you must have seen people who are
very good in IQ, but they are equally poor. And emotional question. They do not know how to
interact with people. They do not understand the
emotions of other person. Will they be able to make
good copywriting content? Know your interpersonal skills, your ability to
connect with people in physical form will help you
to become a good copywriter. Now writing about something
and making sales. For that, essentially, it
requires lot of research. Unless and until I'm fully
confident about my product, there is no way I can sell
that product in the market. So for me to get
that confidence, I need to be thorough
with my product. I need to be skilled, equipped with all the details and knowledge about my product.
8. What are the Opportunities for a Copywriter ?: Now why would anyone want
to become a copywriter? Well, I'm good at writing. I can write good articles. I write my blogs. So why do I need to
become a copywriter? Well, essentially, I can
become a copywriter to earn an extra source of income and livelihood
opportunity. I can make my career as well. Well, today we know
that in a world which is available
through Internet, where you can post your content, get good, attraction,
engagement. At the same time. You
can also make money. So what's bad? What's bad and earning
some extra bucks. That's always better. And good. In a time which is
very uncertain. Time where the
inflation is so high, the jobs are not available. Is there a way you can
get a job security? Why not become a
scale copywriter? Control your job? Control. Your own self. Knows, no one is
going to decide when, how, and for how much
you're going to work. So freelance copywriter, person who has developed the skill to become
a good copywriter, can get money, can get that extra source of
income through copywriting. So you do not control your time, you cannot control
your job security. So it's always better
to be your own boss. Develop copyrighting skills. Become a good copywriter. Work as a part-time. Sharpen your skills. If something untoward happens
in case you lose your job, you have a scale, you
have developed a skill. You are making a livelihood. You not sleep hungry. That is what a freelance
copywriter can do. It is a great source of
income and opportunity for you to learn and
become a better person. So if you want to
become a copywriter, you can follow a simple steps. First is to learn the basics
of persuasive writing. What do you mean by persuasion? Persuasion is to convince
a person to buy something. If I'm able to
influence a person in a positive way and get that person to click
on the Buy button. I'm a persuasive writer. So you need to learn
the copywriting skills. You need to work with
few clients initially, develop and refine your
freelancing process. Develop certain clients with whom you work on
a constant basis. Initially, first, do
not focus on money, but developing good
customer base. Who talk about your
good work to others. If you want to become a good, persuasive writer, you need
to have good writing skills. You need to develop
persuasive writing skills, but not of practice
and commitment.
9. Some Copywriting Formullas ! : Let me give you certain
formulas of copyrighting. In fact, these are some
of the important tips and tricks how you can improve
your copywriting skills. Now the first one is, which is features,
advantages and benefits. Just imagine you are
copywriting for a product. And if we can provide the
features of the product, what are the advantages
of using that product? What is the benefit
to the customer? How easy it would be for
you to sell that product. So what are you
offering will come in. The features were different
features of the product. For example, it can do. For example, let's
suppose you are talking about a refrigerator. Now, the features
of the refrigerator is a dusk cooling 24 by seven. It has automatic power cut. It has five-star ratings. Advantage of this refrigerator is that you can
save lot of power. It consumes less energy. It does not use any
greenhouse gas, so it is environment friendly. Now the benefit to the customers when you
use this refrigerator, you can get instant cooling. You can also drink
water directly from the refrigerator as you
can fill water into it. And you do not require
to take bottle every name if you want to drink something from
your refrigerator. So this is how the
formula works. You need to talk about the
features of the product, the advantages of the product, and the benefit with the
customer is going to get. The second important
formula is D4 use formula, which is useful, unique, urgent, and ultra specific. How can you help the person? How the product or
service useful? For the puzzle, I'm not going to buy something which
is not useful to me. For me to buy this product, the useful or nature of the product has
to be highlighted. Now what's unique
about your product? Now, there are
different types of refrigerators, washing
machines, televisions. What is that you are going
to offer as a product? So what's unique
about your product? So my, my product might be having a unique characteristics of not using any
source of plastic. So I'm sealing on
the environment. I'm not using any new
plastic material. Everything that my
product is made up of is of non biodegradable stuff. This is the unique
nature of my product. Also, I need to create
sense of urgency. Now why would someone clicking buy your product if
there is no urgency? So I'm giving you a great
offer which will only last for ten hours or ten minutes. If you click on the link now
you'll get 50 per cent off. And this is only valid
for ten minutes. This is urgency that you
need to be very specific. Now once you talking
about features, product's benefits,
be very specific. You cannot go wake
and talk about things which doesn't
make any sense. So you have to be very specific. Got those points. And very specific and with examples so that it is easy for the customer
to understand. Before Z formula, which is a very unique and
very common formula, you need to be very clear in
what you want to express. Your copywriting
should be absolutely clear in what you're
talking about. Your communication through your copywriting
should be clear. It should be concise. You should not
elaborate more rather, you should keep it short. And to the point, it
should be compelling. It should spark some
interest and grab the attention of the audience. And obviously it
has to be credible. You need to back your
staff with credibility. You need to show people that your product has
been purchased by different customers and
they have really given positive painting in
feedback about your product. So this is how you will
generate the credibility. Give a source of your website a link where the customer can go and read about your
organization, your company. This is how you're
going to build credibility with the customers.
10. Tips and Tricks of Copywriting ?: Let's talk of formula, which
is about visualization. Let's just imagine
if you could create a picture of a product which doesn't even exist in a physical form in
front of a customer. But he can see that picture. And you can describe
all the qualities, features, and benefits of
that product to the consumer. That is great copywriting. You're promising to offer the deliverables with
that product has given. You're using evidence
to prove that promise. You're convincing the
reader to convince comic. And that's before the formula. The formula is bad witches
before, after Enbridge. Now, this is how we convince
someone that we showed the picture or the image of a person who was before
using the product. And after using the product, what are the changes? So how that product has
solved the problem? This is how you bridge the gap between the need
of the customer, the want of the customer, and what is the expected
outcome the customer wants. So candy, candy product
offer that outcome. Now awareness, comprehension,
conviction in action. You need to identify the
problem or situation at hand. Now once you know the problem, you'll be able to
explain the problem. In your own words. With conviction, you need to persuade the reader to
follow your solution. And with strong call to action, you can make a great pitch and sell the product
through copywriting. Formulas to ask questions. So what our agency creates
the best website content. So what we can help you generate more traffic,
conversion rank higher. So what? This is question which will lead to improve your
product every day. And that is going to
make a big difference. Or there is old formula. Now, let me elaborate
this. Oblivious. Now, many times the customers won't be knowing
about your product. They may not be interested because they do not
have time and they have already heard about what you're offering from different
other brands. Now, you need to think in, create a need for that customer, to that customer
for your product. So many dimes at something like you're hurting the
ego of the customer, then the customer thinks that, yes, I think that
might really help me. For example, if I go to a shop and my goggles are not trendy, so the salesperson might see your goggles
seem to be outdated. Now, e is hurting my sentiments. He is saying that I need to buy something which is a big trend. And what I'm wearing is not up-to-date or the trendy
goggles or glasses. So this is how he has created a need from he has
generated an interest. Problem, agitate and salt. You need to identify
a problem at hand. Explain the negative. If that problem persist. How it can create more
problems and you, as a product or a copywriters
providing the solution? The objection. Formula.
Well, questions, the more questions you ask, the more answers you'll get. Don't have time. You don't have money
where you're financing. It won't work for you. Don't believe me,
that this is how you can carry on the
conversation, alright? So I expect you don't have time, even you may not have money. What we're offering
you at present is a great option to
finance your needs, your desires, your want. Now you might think that
it won't work for you because you have never
done such thing. But don't believe me. Let's listen to people who have already
used this product. Now you can see how beautifully this objection formula has been used to generate
interest in the person. So how do we improve
copywriting skills? You need to develop
good writing skills. You need to practice
different types of writing. You can take online courses. You can also develop
deep understanding of the copywriting industry. And you can take a
good project as well, are in the initial period, in the initial phase. Now, copywriting skills
in the workplace will always help you to
get that upper edge, especially if you're
writing an email or letter or correspondence. So most of the times, the copywriting skills in the workplace will have different aspects
of communication. While you're listening
and asking questions. You can practice
persuasive writing. You can create a lot of
advertising management and marketing content through
