1. Get Started with Pink Jewellery Trinket Tray Resin Art: Welcome to this epoxy
resin art class. In this tutorial, we will be
making a jewelry, drink it. Every time I come home
from a long day at work or unexciting but
exhausting night out, throw all my jewelry
carelessly on the nightstand. And in the morning
it would get lost. I wanted something aesthetic that would keep my
jewelry in one place. So instead of buying
one, I thought, why not make one an art piece
that is not just beautiful, but also functional. Sounds amazing, right? Let me show you what
we're making today. We're creating a pink
monochrome jewelry. Drink it with glitter. I am obsessed with this pink
color and how beautiful it looks against any background and shines in all lightings. We're going to be using three different pigments to create different patterns
to our jewelry, drink it. All the supplies
will be mentioned in the video and also
attached as a PDF along with some other resources
that might be helpful for this tutorial. Awesome. Now, let's go and create a
beautiful jewelry drink. It.
2. Essential Supplies for Resin Work: Let's start with the supplies
needed for this tutorial. In this tutorial, we're
making a small jewelry, drink it using three
different colors. And all ingredients and
quantities will be mentioned. Keeping the same in mind. Let's get started with
the most important one. Gloves. In its liquid form, resin is very sticky. And gloves help to protect
your hands from a mess, as well as the possible
skin irritation. Simple latex gloves available
at a medical store. Hardware store is
the best choice. Not only are they strong, but very inexpensive and
comfortable to work with. Varying skin. Measurement matters a lot while
dealing with epoxy resin, inaccurately measure resin
and hardener will not cure. So it's very important to be
exact and avoid guessing. I like to use a measuring scale simply because I have
one readily available. But you can also use a glass or plastic cup with a
measuring scale on it. The next ingredient is the star, without which we
cannot make any pain. The box he, Jason. All epoxy comes in two parts. The epoxy and the hardener. Both must be mixed in
the ratio mentioned on the container before you
start creating your design. The number of mixing
cups you need will depend on the number of pigments that you're
planning to use. Lazy people like me who
don't like to wash cops, deferred using disposable
or recyclable ones. Whereas you can also use multi-use thick
plastic or glass cups that can be wiped
down and mute again. This specific tutorial, you will need four
different mixing cups. You need starters to
mix the epoxy and hard, no indoor uniform mixture, and also to blend the pigments. Again, the number of
stars you will need will depend on the number of
colors you intend to use. Do not use the same
started for two pigments. As epoxy is transparent and we'll pick up the
different colors. For this tutorial, you will
need four to five stars. If you can't find
plastic starters, you can also use
ice cream sticks, straws, small spoons, or
anything that can mix well. Next we move on to
the base or the mold that in this tutorial we
are making a drink it. So we would need a
silicone mold with lifted edges in which we
will be pouring resin. There are different sizes
available for the same. The one that I'm using
is 4 " in length. It didn't work. I'm 12 MMM gaps. The next is big
mountain ligands. Now this is where the
actual fun begins. We want to create a
monochrome pink, glittery. Think it will be using
a pink epoxy pigment, pink glitter and a white
powder for the shirt. These are epoxy friendly colors. But as a beginner, feel free to experiment with acrylic
colors as well. Although there is
our experience. Now you must be
wondering what on earth with a straw be used
for an hypoxia? Considering this is
a small art piece in order to blend the
different pigments and create patterns and devs who we will blow the
epoxy using a stroke. Now you may ask, why can't
we blow without one? You absolutely can. But with a straw, you get better control on
the movement of people. The next supply is a blowtorch. A torch is very important
if you want to have a smooth and clear piece with
minimum or no, no bubbles. Even though there
are other ways to remove bubbles from
your board resin, such as using a toothpick. But this is very
time-consuming and the end result will not be
as clear as using a torch. No matter how hard you try. The torch I use is basic
and very inexpensive. And I highly recommend
to invest more. Great. Now that we have a
list of all the ingredients, we can start creating
a new epoxy peas.
3. Mastering Epoxy and Resin Mixing Techniques: Now that you're aware of
all the ingredients that we will need during
this tutorial. Let's start with our first step, which is preparing the boxy mix. Before you start any
resin art project, make sure to wear your gloves. Resin is sticky,
difficult to get off, and can also cause
skin irritation. So no matter how small your project is or
how careful you are, always wear gloves
before you start. Now let's bring up
the wing scale. Before you start measuring
the resin and epoxy, ensure that the
scale is on zero. Take the empty container
in which you will be measuring the mixture and
forced way the container. Now, based on the amount
of epoxy and hard now you need and the ratio
mentioned of your brand. You can start pouring the epoxy. The current epoxy
that I'm using is to be mixed in the
ratio of two is to one. Now, depending on what
you're planning to meet, the amount of resin and hard no, you need will also vary. In order for you to estimate the amount
that you will need. I will link several calculators
which you can use to measure the amount of resin needed based on the
measurement of the piece. For this tutorial,
I am using 30 g of epoxy and consequently
15 g of the heart. You can use the same if you're cool stories of the
same dimensions. Again, you can always add
more mixture if needed. But after mixing the
hardener and the resin start to cure and you cannot add the mixture back
into the container. So to avoid the stage, I prefer to go with my minimum
estimate in the picnic. Once you've added the
epoxy and the hardener, they custodial and slowly
mix the two together, it becomes a homogeneous snakes do not store too hard as it can create too many bubbles
and reduce clarity. Although we will take care
of it towards the end. Now that you've blended
hypoxia and hardener together, we will split this based on the number of pigments
that we will be using. Three different containers. I prefer these
disposable ones and split the mixture equally
into these three conditions. For this split, you don't need to measure it with
the wings scale. You can use a rough
approximation. Again. Do this carefully because your containers can get
sticky and difficult to go.
4. Enhance Designs with Pigment Incorporation: After you have mixed the
resin and the epoxy, the next step is to add different pigments to
the different cups. In this tutorial, we're making a monochrome pink tray
with pink glitter, for which we need three
different pigments. Let's start with
adding the first one. The first pigment
that I'm using is a liquid pigment made
specifically for resonance. This needs to be used only a tiny amount and it
will last you forever. That's a great investment. You can, however, also
use acrylic paints. The next ingredient
is bald white powder. Powder has to create these beautiful
distinct layers and patterns in your art piece
that shine and sunlight. The third cup we will be
adding pink colored later. This is honestly optional, but we are making a jewelry trinkets and a
little blink couldn't hurt. Plus this will also give a
3D effect your art piece. Like I mentioned, while
mixing the pigments, be sure to always use
different standards for different colors to help
create contrasting levels. Epoxy needs only a
pinch of pigment. And if you use the same store, the colors will not show up prominently and they will
mix with each other. Again, just do reassert. If there is one thing you want to invest in any
order boxy journey, Make sure you invest in a
good ball, white powder. Trust me, it'll be
a game changer. While you're mixing the glitter, you will have to be very gentle, but you will have to
store it a lot to ensure that the glitter
does not become chunky. Awesome. Now we have all
our pigments to bed. And I learned where to start creating a beautiful
jewelry chain kit.
5. Perfecting Epoxy Resin Pouring: Once we have mixed the
resident hard now, added the different pigments, we are now ready to pour the
mixture into that, drink it. Before you start. Make sure that the drinker
is completely clean. You can wash it with water and then clean it with
a microfiber towel. Epoxy is transparent, so even small dust
particles will be visible. Now that we have
our clean drink it. We take the different
epoxy mixtures one-by-one and slowly
start pouring them. Start with the opaque
color and slowly start spreading it to
the entire triggered. Make sure that you bought
the boxy on the edges. I am trying to spread the
pink color through out the trinkets so that when
we mix the other colors, they all form different uniquely distinct
patterns together. The epoxy mixture with the powder will also be
spread throughout the tank, get to give it a glittery shine. This will blend beautifully
with the pink color and create different patterns
and layers which you will see in the final art piece. The last and final step
is to add the glitter. After adding the pink
color and the pole powder, you will find that
there are still a lot of places where
there is no epoxy. Fill those gaps with
the glitter solution. Make sure that the entire drink, it is completely covered
with the resin solution. After boring all the
three solutions. This is what the final
product will look like. In the next step, we will take starters
and straws to make different patterns and spread the boxy evenly to all
corners of the triangle.
6. Craft Intricate Patterns and Add Final Touches: After pouring the boxy
across the entire drink it, there still could be some
spaces which are left empty. This could become holes
in your drink it. So we want to make sure that we fill these with
the proxemics job. Because this is fluid, we want it to look
effortless and let the different
mixtures effortlessly blend into each other. For the same, we will
be using a straw. Straw at an approximately
one finger distance from the drink it and
gently blow into it. Navigating the liquid in the direction you
want it to flow. The straw will help focus all the breadth at
one particular point. Streamlining it, helping
you control the epoxy and ensuring that all of it does not blend into one
homogeneous mix. To ensure that there is epoxy in all the
different corners. I'm taking a starter and pushing the excess
epoxy into the corners. You can also take the starter
and make gentle waves and small circles to blend the boxy and create some
beautiful patterns. With epoxy, there are no strict rules and the
more you experiment, the better you get at it. Let the boxy flow naturally, give it a few strokes. And let the magic happen. While mixing the box
he together with the hardness or while
adding pigments. There can be a lot of air bubbles created in
your epoxy mixture. Before we leave
the resin to cure, we want to make sure that we remove all of these air bubbles. Tim put a butane blowtorch, which you can easily get at a hardware store or even
online, can do the job. Hover it over the Coasters with a minimum bombs distance to prevent the coasters
from heating up. This step definitely adds a huge difference in the
finishing of the final output.
7. Unmolding Techniques and Exciting Final Reveal: And here we are. This is the final step of creating
our jewelry. Drink it. Once you're done
blending the resin, this is what the final jewelry
drink it will look like. We can now leave the resin
to cure for about 24 h. But I would recommend
to leave it for at least 48 h to be
completely sure. We want to ensure that the
resonance completely cured. It is hard and does not
bend or lose shape. After the 48 h have passed, the resin will have completely
cured and the drink, It will be very easy to
get off the silicone mold. We're doing something different today and doing the unfolding in sunlight so that you can see the different patterns and
texture of the shrinkage. If you notice that
they're drinking, it is still bendable. Do not remove it from the mold. It could distort the shape. Start feeling it from one side. And it should come off without resistance, without bending. Push it from all different
sides and you will have your perfectly
shaped drink it. Drink it as JD and
all set to be used. You can also give this drink
it as a handmade gift, which is one of my
favorite gesture. Let's take a moment
to appreciate it and pat ourselves
on the back. You could keep this
beautiful aesthetic, drink it on your dressing table. You could also gifted handmade gifts are one
of my favorite gestures. Hope you enjoyed this
tutorial and do share your projects for the
community to appreciate.
