While learning about communication skills, public speaking and presentation skills, we will go through the questions like, what are these skills? What are the significances of these skills, and how we can improve these skills? Let's start our lecture. 2. Communication skills and its significance : First of all, we will talk about communication skills. What are the communication skills? Communication skills basically refers to a person's ability to convey his or her information, ideas, thoughts, and feelings which are effective to others. These skills are essential for both personal and professional interactions. It plays a crucial or important role in building the relationship, resolving conflicts, and achieving various aims. It talk about the significance of communication skills. It is of great importance. It helps in the building of effective interpersonal relationships. Communication is the foundation of relationships, whether in personal or professional settings. Strong communication skills enable you to connect and help you to build trust and establish a meaningful relationship is also very important and has a great significance in conflict resolution. Good communication skills help in addressing and resolving conflicts. The ability to express your concerns and listening to others perspective can lead to mutually agreeable solutions. Verbal communication involves not only the word spoken, but also the factors such as tone of wise pitch, volume, and the pace of speech, which can significantly impact the messages interpretation and its effectiveness. There are various key aspects of verbal communication. First one is language. Verbal communication relies on a shared language or code that both the sender and receiver understand. Language can be spoken, signed, or even written when read loud. Second one is vocabulary and grammar. Effective communication required using a proper vocabulary and adhering to the rules of grammar to ensure that messages are clear and coherent. Third aspect is tone and pitch. The tone and pitch of one's voice can convey emotions and attitude. For example, a cheerful tone can express happiness, while a stern tone might convey authority or disapproval. Fourth one is volume and pace. The volume, loudness and pace, which is speed of speech, can also impact the messages interpretation. Non verbal communication includes a wide range of elements and understanding and using them effectively can greatly improve your ability to communicate with others. Different facial expressions convey various emotions such as happiness, anger, sadness, surprise, or disgust. Gestures involve using hand, arm, or body movements to communicate. Common gestures include waving, pointing, nodding, and shaking one's head. Gestures can emphasize or clarify verbal messages. As written communication plays a crucial and important role in various forms such as e mails, reports, letters, memos, says, social media post, and many more effective written communication involves clarity or understanding of the audience and coherence. There are some key aspects of written communication which is clarity. And many more we are going to discuss slide by slide. First one is clarity. Clarity is paramount in written communication. Your message should be easy to understand with clear and concise language. Avoid jargon or overly complex sentences that may confuse the reader. The second one is organization. Well organized writing is essential for can wing ideas logically. Use a clear structure such as subheadings and paragraphs to help readers follow your thoughts, Ensure a logical flow from one point to the other. Third one is grammar and syntax. Proper grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure are fundamental. Mistakes in these areas can undermine your credibility and make your message harder to understand and can also interpret the meaning of your message. Fourth one is vocabulary. Third key aspect is empathy. Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of others. When you listen emphatically, you not only hear the words, but also try to understand the emotions, experiences, and concerns behind them. The other point is non verbal cues.
